A very unassuming speakeasy. Vibe is great. Food was amazing. We actually liked it better than the drinks. Drinks were a little too strong for our taste. Will definitely visit the main restaurant to try the sandwich next time.

FOOD POISON I literally got food poisoned after I eat here Not knowing there is a cockroach as big as a bean in my burger. Until half way I cut my burger and saw it in my plate. This was the most disgusting experience I have experienced, when I asked to speak to the manager they only gave me an email. Im literally devastated by what I saw and ate there. God only knows what they are doing in their kitchen.

The place was empty so we headed for the bar and were promptly told we couldnt sit there. The drinks were fine. The service was mediocre and theres not much in terms of atmosphere. We quickly finished our drinks so we could leave.

Place has a relaxing atmosphere. Very clean all throughout, including the washroom which smells nice too. Server was very professional, made recommendations without being pushy. Orders were served faster than expected, very fresh, beautifully plated and portions were great. Great that they have vegetarian options. All 3 of us were first timers and very happy with the overall experience. Parking: A few spots were available at the time within short walking distance from restaurant. But we were there @2pm on a Wednesday.

Cute Cuban inspired bar with yummy Cuban delights. Their conch fritters and empanadas are great sharable bites, and the La Cubana sandwhich is excellent. The sleeper hit is the main plate of Guava glazed pork rib. The drinks are also top notch

Came for the conch fritters, but they were sadly out of season. We still ordered other food and drinks and were happy we stayed. The food was soooooo tasty. The service was super friendly. The decor was very cute. And they made the doughnuts fresh. I tried my friends and regretted not getting my own.

I have eaten here at this little restaurant and the food is amazing. It s a old school restaurant love the service the staff is simply amazing keep up the good work you will always have my business for sure. I strongly suggest to try this little restaurant. So Toronto if you are looking for a real Cuban restaurant come here you will love it. The menu on the wall appears to be hand painted.

The Habana Bar is deceiving from what was shown on social media. The image that was portrayed on social media is a hidden club that is happening at the back of the restaurant with DJ and dancing. When I went back there it is the smallest space I have ever seen with no room or music. Barely room in there for 15 people. Did not meet my expectations at all for the hype given.

Delicious guava bbq short ribs thats super tender and flavourful. Conch fritters and key lime bar were also solid choices for trying out Cuban food. The carajillo affogato is highly recommended if you like dessert cocktail.

It s okay, nothing crazy! They charge 20% tip in automatic and never tell you anything so when you pay on the machine you tip 18% extra on the total including 20% tip already included! They should tell us about it! That s not nice! Less!

Food is always consistent in quality. We had ordered a selection of sandwiches and had assumed, after our waiter confirmed, that we could order them without a side. Not sure if our error or theirs, although we were billed for the sides [despite not receiving them], as I assume it might be standard for their restaurants. Overall due to this, our meal ended up being quite expensive. Otherwise, would say the quality is deserving of a higher rating. Waiter was a bit aggressive, although a welcoming atmosphere all around.

Absolutely loved this place! Decor was really cute and the staff were so friendly. My party got the pork belly (incredible), empanadas, fish sticks (forget the name), and a sandwich. All of which were really good and freshly made. The jicama fries were so good. Will have to get more again!

Brunch was so good. Cuban Cocktails we re great! Best mojito in town. Chorizo hash and French toast are highly recommended! Pork belly was divine!!! Grilled shrimp was very juicy and very tasty. 10/10!! This place is a gem!

Went for Happy Hour $10 Classic Cuban Cocktails. So good and refreshing. Love the food. Shrimp and pork belly are highly recommended. Service was fantastic. The server and bartender were very friendly. This is a gem at Leslieville.

I have tried this place for brunch and dinner. Food and drinks were immaculate. They have super duper friendly staff and fast service. I just want to point out that this place has the best mojito I have ever tasted in my life. My personal fav is the crispy pork belly and grilled shrimp. I recommend this place and I would definitely come back in the near future!

Vibes of Cuba in leslieville! This spot has all the feels of Cuba with that even better taste of the country! Cuban food while being tasty and heavy, usually isn t too attractive to my palate. Bar habana has officially knocked that stigma out of my mind! Had a few dishes, the habanero hot honey squid, the grilled shrimp and the cubano. Squid with that habanero sauce was to die for! Brought the heat, but keeping it just enough that you want more! The grilled shrimp, while being good in its own, even better when you combine your bite with that mango black bean salsa it comes with! Lastly, the cubano, which is the signature of Cuba, the pressed ham & cheese sandwich. This wasn t your ordinary ham & cheese. The saltiness from the chews combined with the fatty ham, just a marriage of flavours! And to wash it all down with their mojito or cuban style pilsner! The perfect ending is that Cuban coffee creme brûlée! Nice and creamy with the strong hit of coffee. The other thing that was specially made for us, the donuts that s usually only available for brunch. The donuts had a nice little crisp on the outside, but soft and pillowy inside. The other thing you want to know is that everything they make here is in house, including the bread they use for the cubano sandwich! Service, just amazing! Food here is fantastic! New and more secluded spot, so its not as busy (yet). We loved the empanadas, grilled shrimp, belly, corn and creme brule! Do yourself a favour and grab dinner here!

Ordered a vegetarian Medianoche and loved it.

When patios were open for a week I managed to have a nice late lunch at La Cubana and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The waitress who took my order was super sweet and hospitable. I wasnt expecting to order a cocktail, but Im glad I did because the mojito was bomb. I ordered the classic cuban sandwich a textured blend of crunchy bread, melted cheese and sliced meats. Delicious.

Not good. We ordered the ribs and the chicken (plates, not sandwiches) for pick up and feel disappointed. The rice with beans was ok, but the rest, not so much. The ribs were quite awful (they tasted like they went bad), while the chicken was just ok (dry, not fresh, and flavourless). The yucas and tostones were not fresh. After reading the other reviews, I wonder if this happened due to the pandemic.

I had the pleasure of checking this place out yesterday (patio side). The server was really friendly. We ordered the guava beef short rib plate with donuts at the end for dessert. The beef dish was simply AMAZEBALLS! Decent portion size, super yummy, flavorful and the fiery mango pepper sauce on the side was LIT! This is REAL food, GOOD food. Now the donuts was nothing special at all (it low-key reminded me of a Timmys cake donut) but it doesnt matter because I got a 2nd dessert elsewhere lolol. The MAIN star by a landslide was that beef dish. The beef, the coleslaw, the rice & peas and the tostones OH GOSH. Everything just gelled. Def check this place out!!!

Just ok, very mehh food, no cuban flavors and a just flat menu

Never disappoints. We love this place and the expanded patio is great. Not a bad thing on this menu but the Cafe con Leche is a star! Also anything involving pork belly. This time around we both had the Cubana burger with yuca frites which comes with a lovely dipping sauce. Try the habanero mango hot sauce. Its got kick but a lot of flavour.

We wanted to love this place because we loved our visit on Ossington a while back. We had the pressed Cubano, chicken sandwich, fries and tostones as takeout to enjoy at the Gerrard East Market. Was so disappointing! The chicken sandwich was entirely cold, the cubano was just alright, the fries were not fresh at all and the tostones were barely salted. Difficult to stomach the bill when Completo is just around the corner, delivers incredible quality every time, and for almost half the price.

I was looking for a homemade latin comfort food and end up finding this gem. The guava juice is delicious, amazing food.

Ordered through Uber eats and they didn t include any sauce for the cod fritters, there were only 4 fritters for 7 bucks and they didn t bother labeling which sandwiches were veggie or meat. Bummed out, used to love going to this place all the time when I lived in the beaches

Wanted badly to try this restaurant, as weve heard good things about it. Drove an hour+, arriving early to our show at the theatre to get it in. Imagine our surprise when it didnt bother opening, in spite of saying its open. If theyre going to change hours, itd be nice if they let their customers know.

Small restaurant with incredible food! We come here in the summer to eat outside (at only one of their locations). Our favourite is the calamari! It s just an appetizer so we usually order more than 3. It is so fresh with a very thin batter and amazing marinade. Wish I lived closer to this hot spot.

Great atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and the food is delicious. My only wish would be that the price matched the portions a bit better, but the 2 dollar signs are fair warning. I.e., expect to pay between 11 and 20 per person for what will be a tasty, if medium-small, meal.

Great food, good portions. Should be busier

This restaurant is pretty decent-- there are some pros and cons. Firstly, the service is not the best (some of the waiters are rude, while others are really sweet). Also, youll probably have to wait a long time for a meal whether youre sitting down or taking out. Another thing is that the place is pretty small so its really easy to get crowded. Those things aside, La Cubana has great food (that is a little pricey but worth it!) and is a good place to meet with friends.

Actually one of the worst sandwiches I ve ever had lol. Very porky and no mojo flavour. The Medianoche was greasy and smelled like a wet sock. I m really not the type to leave a mean review but this was seriously not good. The Cubano sandwich at Starbucks was miles better in my opinion.

We surprisingly had a terrible experience at this location. We walked into a very dimly lit restaurant and had to seat ourselves. It took a few minutes for the only server (on a Friday night!) to acknowledge our presence. She was rather short with us and trying to catch her attention for the remainder of the night was like pulling on teeth. Our food was average at best. The pork belly was tough and inedible. My partner s chicken was dry and poorly seasoned. We sat in the dark (no joke)...we might as well have eaten at O Noir. The only redeeming factor was the fried yuca, which is always a hit. Overall, terrible Friday night dining experience. Will not return to this location and will be vary about dining at the others. For tastier and more authentic Caribbean cuisine, I d head up to Pape and Danforth and try Simone s.

Arrived just before 6 and plenty of seats available. Laid back place with great friendly staff. Family friendly place and they had colouring books for kids. Food was flavorful and cooked well. Nothing dry and flavours were great. $10-$12 for a small sandwich is a little steep. Something small added to the side would have been nice....greens or even a pickle. Would probably have satisfied the visual and tricked me into thinking the price was good for the sandwich. Probably wont be back.

Cuban food, another entree in the heart of multi racial and diverse culture in Toronto. Achiote Roasted Chicken, served with rice and peas, plantain is so good. More food to order than you can imagine. Reserve a seat or just walk in to enjoy the authentic culinary masterpieces of Havana. la cubana what can I say other than it is so so so delicious! The medianoches are amazing! The yuca fries are a must and the sauce that goes with them is heaven also the key lime pie is really delish. I have been several times both in person to pick up and to order in. I really like the vibe of the place great decor. All of the people who work here are super friendly and really seem to have a lot of passion in what they do. We will definitely be back and it will be v soon. Thank you for the amazing food and experience!!

After driving by this place multiple times we finally gave it a try and were so happy we did!! We got there around 9:30pm,and even though the place closes at 10, we didnt feel rushed at all (unlike other places when you get there half and hr before close time) Janet was super nice and helpful with the menu, she gave excellent recommendations of what to order. The food was absolutely delicious! We got a pressed cubano, a pork belly plate and a small jicama salad. We shared everything and didnt tell Janet we would be doing so but when the food was brought to the table she was ready with side plates for us to share. She was not only helpful but super polite and extremely nice. Also, that salsa is to dieeeeee for!! Absolutely delicious. Wish you guys would sell it, I wouldve definitely bought a bottle or two. We have marked this as a new favourite in the neighborhood and well be coming back!!!

This is the east-end Cubana and it differs in many ways from the one on Roncie. The dining space is small with booths and tables that can be placed together to accommodate larger groups. The food is mostly sandwiches with the medianoche being popular. I had the black bean soup (Vegan warning: I suspect there is pork). I also had the roast pork that came with red cabbage slaw and my favourite, rice and beans. There was more then enough food for a single and my partner and I did share and still had leftovers to take home. Local beer is available in clara and negra style. There is an extensive cocktail menu. Service was quick and friendly and the prices reasonable. ACCESSIBILITY: Cubana did the right thing by putting a ramp at the door but the building is not conducive for people with mobility issues. The bar is up a short flight of stairs and the washrooms are downstairs.

Really awesome place. Our server was fantastic and the atmosphere is very cute. I saw some people complaining at the price for the sandwiches but $10 for a truly amazing sandwich thats also a pretty decent portion seems just right for me. I like that they have a good collection of dishes and ingredients that I had never tried before.

Maybe it was cos I wasnt expecting much, but wow. It was SO good. So good in fact that we went back 3 days later again! The meat is so nicely done, the sides work well, and the flavours are excellent.

The service is good , and the food is not bad but this is advertise as a cuban food restaurant i am cuban and i can tell you that this is as far away as you can be from cuban food , i get the pork shoulder ,its all wrong it came with chilys on top and a hot sauce on the side ,so mexican!!! The it brings red cabbage , not a cuban thing , came with tostones , but the plate should be with yuca con mojo or with fried plantains , instead chilys should bring onoins and mojo criollo , like i said 100% wrong ,there is not yuca con mojo option to buy instead ,yuca frita wich is a second option for cubans , so this is a latin food mostly central american but definitely NOT A CUBAN FOOD RESTAURANT.

Im sure ill get over this but its actually infuriating because we live in the age of being able to put this exact image on an Instagram page for people to check before being disappointed. 3:06 There are now at least 10 ppl waiting and its almost 3:10 3:10- Now weve been told the power is out and they wont be opening until oh i dont know, maybe 6 or whenever the power comes back You should change the sign to closed due to power outage instead of having people wait 30 minutes!

Ordered the pressed cubanos which was delicious, their mango habernero sauce was great. However ordered the conch fritters and that disappointed me. It was so doughy and didnt to appear to have any actual conch in them just the flavoring, and mainly veggies.
