Laura was an amazing server. And, the milk chocolate truffle cake was delicious!

Lara was our server and she was super kind and attentive. She checked in on us frequently enough that we never had to look for her but not so much that it interrupted our dinner. The Waffle & Ice Cream I had were delicious and the overall vibe was wonderful! Highly recommend!

Can never go wrong with any of their belgian waffles!! Our server, Lara was also very nice thank you for your kind service!!

Lara s service was excellent very quick and friendly.

Great food. Took 2 hours in an empty restaurant to get our bill despite asking for it many times. The waiter kept on cleaning all the tables around us instead of cashing us out.

I ve been there recently two times and their service is awful. They take too long to bring the deserts and the drinks to the table. Like it is the drinks and the dessert are ready and you can see it in the counter but the waiters are so busy talking to each other and took too long to bring everything to the table. Not only that but even if you call the waiters too tell them something they just pretend that they haven t seen you which is so disrespectful. Although the atmosphere is so cozy and good I don t recommend this branch at all.

Today was like our 5th visit to Demetres as we have been visiting their locations across Toronto. However, we decided to visit Demetres at Shops at Dons Mills as it was closer to our home. The ice cream was as always fabulous. We received fantastic service and recommendations from Asmitta. She was very knowledgeable and definitely coming back to this location to receive the warm hospitality from Asmitta. Finally, as always, the atmosphere at Demetres was something other places aren t able to match up.

I was invited to by friends for a night out here. Came hungry cause I was ready to eat. Ended up ordering two desserts I couldnt finish, glad I had my friends to help, haha. Gave your store a 3 star cause although your desserts were filling and properly made. The girl who waited for our table was not very nice

Love the artistry chocolate hazelnut ice cream. TO-DIE-FOR good. Service was exceptionally slow given there were very few diners at the time and our two orders were fairly simple (cake and ice cream). In addition, we waited forever to have our waiter return so we could pay. We ended up just going to the counter to pay.

I was so disappointed this time visiting demetres with friends and family. We ordered waffles with ice cream. It was so dry and the barely pour the chocolate sauce on it. Also the quantity of fruits was not enough. This shop at donmills location need to improve their food.

The crepe quantity has been reduced. There should be an option to upgrade to increase crepe amount.

This place is not suitable at all. We were not satisfied at all. Only one person was available to serve on Sunday. The coffee had no quality, and the waffle we ordered had hair in it, which was disgusting!

Overcharged my table incorrectly. 1 month has passed by without any refund. I have called 4 times and their so called managers have not been able to refund the overcharged amount. I am not sure what they are managing. Ridiculous.

My family and I went here to celebrate my sister s birthday, but the experience was disappointing. After being seated and served water, we were ignored for over 30 minutes. During that time, we watched other guests, who arrived after us, get seated and have their orders taken. Frustrated and feeling ignored, we eventually decided to leave. What a waste of time.

Demetres does a fantastic job on the food front, every time. Excellent coffee, food is plated well and tastes amazing. That being said, the service and operations of this location are frustrating. We arrived around 6:45pm and there were 8 tables seated. We werent brought water until 13 minutes after being seated and then another 24 minutes before food arrived (one shared item on a crepe). In terms of atmosphere, the staff in the back of the house were playing music on their phones so loud, it was fully interfering with the soft, coffee-shop type music playing in the restaurant. Frustrating visit, but again, food prevails as a solid desert choice, just not the best dining experience by any means.

One star because zero isnt an option. Truly, this place isnt worth visiting. Its the third time weve ordered takeout, and they took 30 minutes to serve a piece of red velvet cake that was already ready. Its really a mockery to the customer. The first time, we thought it was a one-off, so we gave it another chance, but it was the same. We thought this time would be different, assuming that maybe they were short-staffed on previous days, but no, it was just staff milling about, all seeming lost about what to do. Not only did we wait this long, but so did everyone before us. We tried to get our money back but couldnt even find anyone to ask. This place is a disaster. And in Toronto, there are a thousand other places to go, dont bother since the product they offer isnt anything special, not bad but not excellent either.

My most favourite dessert place in all of Toronto! Their sundaes and ice creams are delectable, period.

AVOID AT ALL COST. SCAM ARTISTS. We went to demetres yesterday. We got there around 9. I was with my partner. There was a group 5 and another couple behind us. We got a table fairly quickly. The group of 5 got seated right next to us and the couple across from us. We picked out what we wanted while waiting in line. As soon as we sat, we ordered. They brought us water after. We ordered at 9:15. I saw the group of 5 and the couple order after us and still got their dessert before us. After an half hour of waiting for desert moo laa laa when I saw the group of 5 get their dessert and the couple. I inquired about mine and thry said only a couple of minutes. I decided to pay ahead of time so I would not have to wait any longer to get the bill. After waiting for another half hour. We waited until 10:15 ONE HOUR, until we gave up and said the two groups came after and are already done why is our dessert not here and they said it s almost done just another 10-15 minutes. This is when I asked for the money back. They took another 10 minute making us run around to ask manager and server when they could have done that themselves. After 10 min they told us they cannot issue us any refund right now but only after 14 BUSINESS DAYS. I left frustrated knowing I won t get my money back nor be coming back to this place.

On Sunday October 6th my partner and I dined in at said location. She orders an English Breakfast Tea however our server didnt bring us any sugar or milk or asked if we needed any of that with our beverage. We asked another staff member for sugar and milk he literally bring one sugar pack instead of a whole sugar caddy. Once our desserts had arrived not once did the server check with us to see how everything was. After we had finished eating our empty plates sat there for at least 30 minutes with both our server and the manger on duty walking past our table as if they had blinders on. I had to flagged her down to get some service we asked for our bill but that took an additional 10 minutes at least. On Tuesday October 8th my partner had a craving for crepes and she really enjoys at your company. I place an order with ubereats for delivery. I ordered and paid for extra nutella which we never received which I do understand thing get missed. However I ordered the formula one bun for my self and it was missing the ice cream which I feel is main component of the dish. I have attached a picture of what I had received if you wish to view it.

I recently had a very frustrating experience at Demetres, Don Mills. I went to pick up 3 pints of ice cream on 8th September , spending over $40, only to discover when I got home that they gave me the wrong flavors. When I called the next day to report the issue, I was directed to their website to submit a complaint, which I did. A week later, I received a response from their manager, Nada, on September 16, asking for my mailing address to send me a gift card. I replied promptly with my details, but 10 days passed without receiving anything. I followed up with another email, offering to pick up the gift card from the store instead. After calling the store two days later, I was told the card had already been shipped, yet I still didn t receive it until October 11. When I called again to inquire, I was told by an employee that they would call me back with an update, I was finally informed the card had only been shipped the day before and would arrive after Thanksgiving weekend. When I eventually received the gift card, it was for only $30 less than what I had originally spent. After dealing with this for over a month and a half, I was left incredibly disappointed with both the service and the compensation.

I find most of the desserts here extremely sweet, like more than it has to be! Service is ok.

One of the rudest staff members I ve met called Maya . We were asked to leave because we ordered for take out instead of dine-in, and were waiting seated inside. Maya came and asked us if its dine in or take out, we told her its take out and her response was We can t have you eating out of boxes, if it takes out you can go outside somewhere and eat .

The way the manager treated was extremely disrespectful. We ordered takeout but changed our mind to just eat in as the restaurant was empty. The manager came in and was very rude while asking us to sit outside and eat. The reason was they couldnt have people eating in cups inside. Lol, if you are so ashamed of your packing, then just upgrade your packing. We agreed to go out when the order arrived. She goes back and points towards us, telling other waitresses to make sure we leave. Just wanted to have an ice cream, no need for such hostility.

Lower stars for the atmosphere, it feels cramped like they tried to jam as many tables as possible while trying to keep aisles clear, tables felt very close to another, sliding into the booths my foot would get stuck on the table leg and Id half to twist awkwardly to get in. Service was great, server was very cheery, as sweet as the desserts we ate. Parking: They are just across a parking structure so lots to park Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, might be a little tight but shouldnt be too bad

A dessert place with great ambience. The vibes are rich and nice. They specialize only for dessert which after a while gets too sweet on your tongue. Need to add some savory dishes aswell for the tongue palets. Deserts are 10/10 though.

Late night spot but they SERIOUSLY need to increase the waiter staff. It took a few minutes for a host to greet and sit us, then another few minutes to get our order. Its a zoo here past 10 pm. That said the sundaes are great. Could probably just share one double scoop sundae for two people.

I used to enjoy visiting this branch, but my recent experiences have been disappointing, and Ive decided not to return. On one occasion, we found a piece of metal in the cake. While they didnt charge us for the cake due to this incident, it was still quite concerning. On another visit, the service was extremely poor. Our drinks arrived 15 minutes late, the cake was not fresh, and we didnt receive a receipt they just placed the payment machine with the amount on the table.

you must try the Make Your Mango Crazy . Its absolutely delicious and a perfect treat!

First time here and it definitely will be the last. the server was very lovely and pleasant. The food was yummy and the place was clean. However, a waffle with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream is $23. Im sorry but this is way over priced. Unless they have a cow out back and made it by hand a few hours ago it isnt worth it. Also on a hot August weekend the place was a ghost town. Not a good sign. Like I said yummy but overpriced and dead. Avoid and go across the way to a dairy queen.

We went to this demetres many times, usually things are good. But banana in the crepe is unripe yesterday, it destroy the taste of the dessert. Please don t give customer any unripe fruits anymore.

Our favourite ice cream store in GTA. The strawberry flavour is not very sweet but has riches berry flavour. The waffle one is the must try, we also like their banana boat.

Nice place and nice staff

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We went in on June 25 it was a group of 8 of us . We waited about 45 minutes and nobody came to our table to take our order . We ended up just walking out . Worst experience ever and the staff that evening needs better training in how to speak with customers

Talking about the taste, it was okay but we are definitely disappointed with the service. The staff were rude and can say that they were racist and ignoring people.

Demetres is the best place to get dessert. Always delicious. The shops at Don Mills was a nice spot to spend the evening on a warm summer night. I highly recommend.

Demetries shop is one of my favorite places to visit. The ambiance is inviting, and the variety of products never disappoints. I want to especially thank Senit for the lovely service and consistently smiley attitude. It truly makes the shopping experience delightful every time.

Went there to celebrate our friends birthday, and left there unhappy, the reason is hiring people without taking the time training them the important basics.we sat there had a menus ordered everything was fine the minute we asked for the bill the young girl who was in charge of our table mentioned it s either one bill or split in 4 bills! Of course we are friends but individual people who liked to be able to pay the bill by ourselves,also if it was mentioned from the beginning we could ve made the choice to stay or somewhere else .oh no! I said it the minute you guys sat down!!!! Ok I can t believe 7 adults and two teenagers are all deaf all in once ,so we asked for the manager:the exact words she said:I don t think she is lying !(wow, ok basically you are telling us we are lying ?) again she is insisting:this is the corporate policy and I can t do anything! Well our policy is to be informed about the way we must pay for the service we got , so !!!her words become more aggressive and is :so you are saying we aren t paying. Let me tell you that if it wasn t for the matter we got together me personally I would not left the place without getting the proper apology to the Costomer who s been nothing but innocent for not knowing your policy and coming for a celebration and leaving the it s the worst experience!!! We were a group of eight who went to Demetries. At the end of our meal, we asked for separate bills. The server informed us that we could only have either one bill or four bills, which was something I had never encountered before. They claimed that our server had mentioned this policy earlier, but none of us recalled hearing it from her. This experience reflected very poor customer service and was very disappointing.

We were a group of eight last night and we went to Dimitris, a dessert place. After we finished, we asked for separate bills. They treated us very poorly and said they couldnt provide individual bills, insisting that we either split the bill among four people or pay the total as a group. Their service was very bad because they hadnt informed us of this policy beforehand. We were very dissatisfied with their service.

Beautiful place to have a dessert, we had cake with ice cream, waffles with ice cream and crepes with ice cream. Big portions so be careful when ordering.

It was packed on Fathers Day - lots of families and birthday celebration and laughter!! The vibe was super busy and yet the dessert did it for me !

Young atmosphere.

Demetres is excellent! I think they can make the portions smaller and reduce the price as well. Also, need a bit take care of cleanliness of the tables and more pictyres on the menu!

Just left the store and dont even want to give the piece of cake to the person I bought it for. The gentleman preparing my dessert was cleaning in between preparing the cake for takeout. Didnt even bother washing his hands or wearing gloves when touching the cake and adding the toppings.

This location is very busy but is worth it. We did go on a friday night at Shops At Don Mills so its expected. The service was excellent and they were very attentive. This is a popular dessert chain but this location seems to get it right for taste. Everytime Ive been here the dessert taste amazing. I suggest for you to go to dinner in the area and here for dessert. Parking: Park in the parking garage. Its closer to the restaurant.

First off, MARIOLA. Thank you for your excellent dining customer service!!!! Me and my family felt welcomed. In addition, I can see why this location is ALWAYS packed. The Service, The food, The Ingredients and dining atmosphere is 5 STARS!!!!! All servers and kitchen staff were polite, accommodating and professional.

Demetres is always a great spot for a late evening dessert or hot drink. Its a really quaint and welcoming atmosphere and is decorated with dessert in mind. We had the Banana Split, Belgian Waffle Splitsonian, Piece Talk, Americano and Matcha Lattes. The food is great and does not disappoint. This place does get busy, so you may have to wait a little for a table, especially on the weekend. The service is not bad and the staff is friendly, albeit very busy. Parking: Parking is annoying to find at Shops, however you will find it, you just need to look. Kid-friendliness: The theme and atmosphere is fun for all ages.

They have only regular milk for coffee. What about dairy free is one option oat milk? I recommend that almond milk is fine to add your option thanks

Basem I don t know if this name belongs to a person who served us or no. But, I know it for sure that he is a racist! He ruined my birthday evening big time. We were sitting there for more than 15 minutes to give our order & during this our server made an eye contact with me at least 4 times but he ignored us(reason is unknown). He also took an order from a table next to us; (table #17) which btw came after us. At that point also he ignored us after making an eye contact. After giving our order we observed that he ignored our ready to serve dessert, maybe like 2-3 times, he passed by it he looked at it but he didn t served it. It was sitting there for almost 8 minutes. And we can see all that because we were sitting right across it on table #18. Finally lord himself(sarcasm)came to drop our dessert and I told him that it s already melted. And he did a favour on us by saying sorry and walked away with an irritating smile, I mean so some decency. Btw, he did the same with our second order too. They replaced them both but there s no point, our mood was already spoiled! We wereloyal customers of Demetres for almost 6 years (not anymore) and this incident has changed it to never go place for us. I ordered 3rd dessert(but we didn t even touch it!) just to tell our server that we would have tip you the same amount if you would have been nice to us, and we find you racist. On that he replied sorry. But, my friend don t say sorry if you don t feel it. Goodbye Demetres, PS:- Give a reply if you really care for your customers.

Delicious desserts

I recently visited demetres and was blown away by the delicious desserts they offer. From decadent cakes to creamy gelato, every bite was a delight to the senses. However, my experience was marred by the slow service. Despite the tempting treats, I found myself waiting 5-10 minutes each time I needed assistance from the staff. Its disheartening when great food is overshadowed by poor service. Regrettably, I wont be returning to this location, as the wait for attention detracted from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Solid place, very happy with our experience. We will be back!
