Beavertails: the famously flat donuts! Deliciously addictive, whole-wheat Canadian pastries served piping hot with your choice of delectable toppings. Also serving ice cream and other iconic Canadian treats.
It was delicious af. We had the mini collection to be able to try a few different ones. And they were all yummy! We weren’t able to eat them all. They look small but they are a lot. We even bought this super cute stress beaver 🥹
This location is second to none!!! Pier 6, yes it is! It can get very busy but it’s worth the wait. There’s also seating available outside, and the weather was perfect when we were here. Ordered the BrWOWnie and Triple Trip, and it exceeded our expectations. Plus, the view is a bonus!!! Imagine yourself enjoying such a treat with a beautiful Toronto waterfront scenery and as well as Toronto skyscrapers. Unbeatable location!!! Absolutely recommended. 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We opted for the six Beaver minis to sample a variety of flavors, which is a great choice for groups. We tried the Avalanche, Hazel Amour, Bananarama, Pistach-OH, Brownie, and Maple. My favorites were the Avalanche, which features a rich s'mores cheesecake, and the Pistachio. The others were a bit too sweet for my taste, but overall, it was a fun way to explore the different options.
I really wish there were more locations, or at least one in Brampton (I’m not sure if the Wet ‘n Wild location is still open). It’s such a classic Canadian treat that everyone should try. My top recommendation is the brWOWnie, especially with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top—it’s the sweetest combo. 🍫 We were lucky to have a spot and enjoyed our snack by the port. It felt like a little escape, even while still in the city.
We stopped in for some beaver tails and poutine after coming off the ferry. The line moved fast. We had to wait a while for our food because it was busy. The poutine was great because the fries tasted like real potatoes. We had the strawberry cheesecake and the banana beaver tails as well which were also good. It’s in a great location with a nice view of the pier.
I usually get the Nutella one, but decided to try the avalanche (skor cheesecake) and it was delicious!! Wait time was quick and tastes better fresh. There is minimal seating inside but there is an outdoor part that has plenty more tables.
Always a nice treat. The beaver tails are fresh and delicious. The poutine is pretty good. Staff friendly. Place could do with some additional cleaning between guests but it’s high turn so expected.
Excellent! I got the chocolate waffle flavor and was perfect with one scoop of Cookie Monster ice cream. Total $13,51 There is an outside area near to the lake. Excelente experience and delicious sweet! There is line, but 10 minutes maximum. I will came back to try pistachio version.
Nice little place offering poutine. Good gravy, I prefer my fries more crispy when eating poutine.
The young people at reception were very friendly, they advised me for my first experience. I took a beaver tail with brown sugar, cinnamon and lemon. It was very, very good. But watch out for the extra pounds, its a pastry that is fried
Fist beaver tail, and they were sooooo good . Well be back again soon!
Not much seating in here
The staff were very friendly and nice. The food is delicious, but the tables are small so there may not be enough seats~!!^^
Great customer service and location
I am 6 weeks pregnant, dint eat anything much for 6 hours straight and I live nearby visit often. I placed an order of classic poutine when there was no one except us and waited for half n hour. In that half n hour my husband went to look at the handoffs 2 times, we kept making eye contact several times to the person who took our order. There was nothing on our table. After us 4 poutine orders were placed and got served. We regretted wasting our time to even be there. I have been to that place 4 times now never experienced something like this. But after this experience, I am not suggesting it to anyone or taking any of my friends or family there. In the end, I have to ask for refund, after finding out we have not been served the employee apologized but never asked us to make a poutine instead offered a free beaver which I dint take as I was least interested, frustrated and had enough. I was still courteous enough to wish him good Night which obviously he didn t reply to. Worst experience ever.
Good place to sit outside, but people are saying it s clean and good value just not seeing it, but it is a waterfront touristy thing to do I suppose. Was rather unimpressed. I get that cooking these things in hot oil which should kill all bacteria, but watching someone hand stretch the dough without washing hands is not a pleasant experience.
The employees are great, and the service was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great, and down to earth
Its very sweet. Ive been here several times, but the batters condition varies depending on the person frying it. It tastes better when its deep fried! The location is good, so its a good idea to buy one, eat it, and walk around the harbor.
Good food, good service and quick service. Busy and pleasant atmosphere. Clean and organized place. Accessibility and good for taking children.
Pleasant experience, and the Beavertails were done just right! Great location in the centre of the harbourfront. They have toilets inside. There is seating outside the restaurant, facing the waters. Recommended!
Must try if you havent had one. We were visiting from the US and were told this was one this we couldnt miss out on.
First time, these things are DELICIOUS
I feel that the popularity is quite undeserved. I think that the little house is picturesque but when you enter the staff is dirty and a little gray, perhaps it is unpaid which is usually the reason for customer service staff with a bad attitude, the time Waiting times are quite long I dont know... Im not sure I want to go back
Lovely place, very picturesque! The food was delicious! I opted for a honey pistachio beavertail which exceeded my expectations. The environment is extremely pleasant, with a beautiful view of the lake. Efficient and friendly service.
I had a Beavertail Brownie. It tasted super delicious.
Chips, cheese, gravy and hot dogs. Coming from the UK, what more do you want?! Tasty and good price food which was perfect for a midway exploring snack. We had dinner company from the local wildlife while sitting by the dock as well.
Everyone visiting Toronto must try this once. The place is always crowded but it s a great sweet indulgence.
The pouteen and pistachio tail was absolutely amazing!
Staff was terrific and the beavertails were delicious. I would absolutely recommend the maple one!
The only reason I gave a 4 is because the size of the beaver tail and seriously shrunk. Its so small and not as thick as it use to be.
Nice place. Delicious Food
The bananarama beavertail is sweet but the view is sweeter.
Beavertails at Toronto s waterfront is where indulgence meets a stunning lakeside view. Picture this: the sun s setting, the breeze is perfect, and you re holding a warm, crispy Beavertail in your hand. Whether you go for the classic cinnamon sugar or something wilder like chocolate hazelnut, each bite is a sweet reminder that life s too short to skip dessert. The waterfront location makes it even better you can munch on your sugary treat while watching boats drift by. Its the perfect spot for a quick snack break during a stroll, and trust me, one Beavertail is never enough.
Fast food, on the go, but very tasty.
Fried bread ... meh. Would be 100x better with soft serve ice cream. Scenic location and nice staff however.
This is the first time Ive eaten a tail. It was delicious. I recommend the brownies or whatever. Enjoy the beautiful view while eating!
needed a quick fix after working out and ordered fries which was delicious. ill come back to try their pastries.
The prices today are ridiculous
Beaver tails are a Canadian right of passage a must try if you can! It s deep-fried goodness all around. This location has a couple of outdoor seating options in front of the waterfront, which is a nice touch.
This one is near to harbour front Take a stroll and enjoy your favorite hot dessert Plenty of space to sit and eat while enjoying the lake view Food : 3/5
I ve always wanted to try this Canadian dessert, and it s highly recommended it was amazing and delicious!
Beavertails!!!!
They should take a little more care of their image, the part next to them is full of garbage and that makes it look bad.
Cute little place with a great view on the water. Lots of different choices.
As a tourist, I really had no clue what Beavertails was but boy did it look YUMMY! Reminded me of funnel cake (from the USA) but with any topping you can dream of! We got the vegan Beavertail which was the cookies n cream! Sugary, fried, pure deliciousness is what it was! So wonderful to try this Canadian staple AND they had vegan choices! Wish I stopped by in the BEGINNING of our vacation because would have came here more than once!!! SO GOOD!
Sooo good. A Canadian classic and quite filling as well
My wife and I always have a tradition to have a BeaverTail, split it 50/50 and try a new one we haven t tried yet each time. This location is perfect right by the harbour the service was fast and beat my expectations. However, beware to those that have sensitive hearing that choose to sit in the Muskoka chairs outside. There is a spot where a water taxi docks close to the restaurant and when it leaves, the horn is insanely loud and painful. Other than that my wife and I definitely plan to come back here.
The place is clean, beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Quick and easy service. We had the eh-maple beaver tail and it tasted great, would definitely eat it again. The decorations are beautiful. There is indoor seating available, as well as tables and muskoka chairs outside by the harbour. Thank you for a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it. No complaints.
Vegetarian options: Definitely a la carte Parking: Waterfront location Kid-friendliness: Plenty of seats and space for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Open and flat
Delightful place for a quick and delicious snack
Yummiest beavertails in town! We had the tasting combo and loved it!
Love anything with hazelnut, so the hazelnut spread made this first timer of a beavertail happy to have tried it...fresh, hot and crispy...service was fast, friendly and attentive.
So pretty, so good, so special
I got the hot chocolate from this place. The best on cold evening at the Harbourfront. The place is a small but dont judge it for the food.
Very nice boat tour, informative. The guides were well educated on the history of Toronto and the islands. Food
Went there around 9:20pm there was a line which was expected but it was not moving at all for 10 min then all of sudden the line started to move and quiet quickly. Not sure what happened but the service was not at its best , I got the classic and it never fails you .
First time trying a tail, rang the bell. The dough was pretty fresh but I think the toppings made it too sweet. Definitely meant for dessert lovers. The setting outside by the lake is beautiful and you can take a water taxi from there to Toronto islands.
Delicious! A little sweeter than Im used to but its really very atmospheric and dont forget to ring the bell
Delicious and without a queue!
such a good location with nice views!
Tried most of the flavours with the minis box. So yummy!!
Frozen lemonade felt great on a hot day, poutine was super cheesy, and beaver tails are always great. Ice cream was not very special,
Cracked canoe ice cream must have drugs in it because its friggin addictive and delicious
Italian pastries, the cafe is located on the pier. The place is small, there is always a line. The menu only includes pastries and sweet drinks. We bought a large donut dough (regular dough for donuts) and poured it with chocolate, hazelnuts and honey. Very tasty, I recommend it We didn t have time to take a photo because we ate it right away
they are just too good!! Had the pistati-OH, and bananarama Also liked their Hot chocolate! Food : 5/5
Having a Beaver Tails nearby is a true Canadian treat. Its a quintessential experience that embodies the countrys charm. The classic maple and sugar cinnamon options are timeless favorites, but I recently indulged in the decadent chocolate brownie combo a revelation! Im particularly fond of the Queens Quay location. Enjoying a warm Beaver Tail while watching the boats glide by is the perfect way to unwind. Now, Im eagerly anticipating their poutine-inspired creations. Its a bold move that I cant wait to try Beaver Tails is more than just a snack; its a taste of Canada .
You should visit , reasonably priced products
Tasty BeaverTail Classic with Sugar & Cinnamon | Thin & Crunchy | Good Dough
Sneaked in to poop, couldn t find a public toilet anywhere in the area. No staff came to stop me so 5 stars. Beavertails are always good so I know they deserve the 5 stars!
Its my first time in Canada and Ive never tried beavertail before, and its so delicious. Its like I customized my favorite hotteok, a kind of Korean snack!
Very good
Good but basically a flat churro.
What can I say that you don t know already. Everything was straight aces. Location with a view, the staff and the food .Top Shelf. Only thing I d change would be to be able to get a hat with the Beavertails logo
Once upon a sun-kissed Sunday in Toronto, the waterfront came alive with the promise of a sweet love story. At Beaver Tails, a cozy dessert spot by the water, I found myself captivated by more than just the delectable pastries. The air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of sugary treats and the sound of laughter floating on the breeze. As I savored my dessert by the waters edge, a serendipitous encounter unfolded. Her eyes met mine, sparking a connection that felt written in the stars. The conversation flowed effortlessly, as if we had known each other for a lifetime. In that moment, time stood still, and we knew that something magical had begun. From that enchanting Sunday onwards, Beaver Tails became the backdrop for our love story. Each week, I returned to the waterfront, eager to spend time with the girl who had captured my heart. Through shared desserts and shared dreams, my bond deepened, blossoming into a love as sweet and enduring as the pastries we both enjoyed. The tradition of dining in at Beaver Tails every Sunday became a symbol of our love a treasured ritual that reminded us of the day your worlds collided and intertwined in the most delicious way possible. And as we gazed into each others eyes, surrounded by the charm of the waterfront and the warmth of our affection, we knew that our love story was just beginning, filled with endless Sundays and everlasting love.
The food is delicious, but the cute manager at this location with the earrings is the 10.
Meh didn t find the beaver tails with ice cream on top very good. Had two bites then told my gf to finish it without me. Gf liked it a lot. Dough was thick and not fluffy like a good pastry usually is. If you have a sugar craving it ll hit the spot.
Absolutely delicious
I had the beaver tail topped with Nutella and banana and it was delicious. The downside is that it is too expensive. $9 is not a snack worth eating often.
Stuff is very hard chocolate not melted properly and there is no utensils to cut the stuff
The Beaver Tail Triple Tip is a delight!! Its one of my favorites. This branch is good because of its location, close to the lake, the park and the view of the CN Tower. One of the best Beaver Tails in Toronto
Enjoyable rides to the Toronto Islands. Cheap tickets considering you get a small boat with less people to sit instead of a large ferry with tons of people.
Very busy still awesome food
Love it
First trip to Canada from the USA and had to have a beavertail Stopped by this little place on the waterfront...shared a Triple Trip (Chocolate Hazelnut Spread, Peanut Butter, and Reeses Pieces Candies) beavertail and an order of poutine. The beavertail was amazing.
A little sin in a great location!
Quick service and great treats. We tried the minis so we could sample a few. My son also got the poutine with hotdogs. Good times.
Wouldnt recommend the strawberry leomonade but the beavertails delicious, my favorite is usually original, today i tried pistachio and it was divine. My friend had the strawberry cheesecake with vanilla ice cream, she enjoyed herself as well.
My wife and son love this place, their favourite one is Triple Tree.
I recently visited this BeaverTails in Waterfront, specializing in Canadian pastries, treats, and the iconic beaver tails, and it was a true culinary treat. The moment you step inside, youre greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked goods, setting the stage for a memorable experience. The shops decor is charming, with a rustic yet cozy ambiance that captures the essence of Canadian hospitality. The highlight, of course, is the beaver tails a Canadian classic. These fried dough pastries, shaped like a beavers tail and topped with a variety of sweet toppings, are absolutely delicious. I tried the classic and maple beaver tail, and it was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share the stories behind each treat and offer recommendations. This BeaverTails store in Toronto is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Canadian flavors and experience a slice of Canada s culinary heritage.
I tried the Hazel Amour beavertail. It was delicious but I must also tell you that you can taste that it is a deep fried dough base. The vibe of the place is also good. They shape the dough and deep fry them in front of you after you order, so it is fresh. Vegetarian options: No specific labeling Dietary restrictions: No specific labeling
I loved the avalanche version! Cool place to hangout
It is so great that this place still exists in the middle of the ever increasing pressure for space.
OH yeah, its tasty at the beaver
Couldn t try every flavor as they ran out of the minis. But went with the pistachio one and it was really good!
Was amazing
There is a very cute store with a nice history. Also they sell some articles such as T shirts and caps. BeaverTails are delicious. Unfortunately they dont have coffee which is needed and fine when you have Beavertail. Washrooms are very dirty. Parking: Forget it. Wheelchair accessibility: Friendly / no stairs
Best ferry service and great experience thank you so much
Yummy!!!
Must try
The Maple Beaver tail is the best!
A fantastic fast food restaurant with some incredible food. If you are after trying the traditional dishes that Canada is famous for this is the best place to do it. The service is efficient with really friendly staff. The food tastes great and is at a really reasonable price. A top experience!
I absolutely love BeaverTails; however, when I visited the restaurant on the Waterfront, the staff was not wearing gloves and were talking and laughing while handling the dough and adding toppings. I expected better sanitary practices when handling food.
Great desserts ! The staff is friendly and goes the extra mile! We ll return for sure !
It was nice for having an experience once
1/2 the size and twice the price compared to the old days.
Lovely place with view of the water, sit outside to see some birds flying around and feel the breeze Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly environment
A classic! Very tasty but a bit greasy. Recommend splitting with a friend but you can definitely have a whole one by yourself if you re committed.
I love BT so much. I wish there more branches available. Such an iconic Canadian snack. Will always recommend the Avalanche . Make sure to circle around the establishment as eating your snack at the port is so much more chill.
Beautiful location! So pretty but beware there are a lot of bugs since it s close to the water.
Went during Victoria Day and there was a long line but service was fast and the wait wasn t that bad. Delicious as always and staff was really nice. Prices were reasonable fair. Plus it s right beside the water so great location :)
Everyone must try this at least once!!! Pocket friendly and delicious!!!
It was amazing...
It is a small place, but ideal to eat something that is very Canadian, I like the food there especially the different flavors, all different and very delicious between them, I highly recommend trying the large ones and the small versions in their box in case you you want to try various flavors
Bathroom was absolutely disgusting....smelled like it wasnt cleaned ever. No toilet paper no paper towel and unbelievably dirty. Worst Ive ever experienced
Small atmosphere but fast service. If you go to Toronto it should be a must stop. The beaver tails are very delicious.
Whenever we are in this area, we always stop at this location to have a mix of beaver tails (I used to have as a child in several European locations as done in markets or when the circus was in town). Clearly this is now taken to a new level and not wanting to have my face covered in chocolate as it happened after having a beaver at Niagara, no one telling me of the chocolate on my face, we decided to get a pack of 6 for 24 dollars, I think. The downside is they are not as great 24 hours later, but there is so much sugar I can have nowadays. The staff was nice and friendly, the crowd increased in no time after arriving here, proof this place can still get very busy.
Had my first poutine and beavertails during my first ever visit to Toronto. I am glad I chose the best place to do so. Amazing and Highly recommended.
Could be better
The staff are friendly. The food, always pretty consistent and delicious. Most recently, I ve tried their ice cream and it was SO delicious! This location is clean, comfortable, and so convenient in a touristy area. Pretty busy at times though be patient! Just one thing for the mgmt team: maybe have some sort of signage for customers as to where to stand and line up. It was very confusing for me the last few times I ve been in there not sure to order and pay first or not. Highly recommend this place!
2nd time coming to this place. Great spot to take a break from walking around.
All this talk about Beavertails is making me hungry I would highly recommend going to their Harbour-front location especially in the summertime
We visited late Saturday evening after a walk along the harbour and thought wed treat ourselves to some comfort Canadian food. This location is bigger than other BeaverTails, and there was seating available inside. We decided to get their new Beaver Minis as a way to try out more options without being overwhelmed by the size of a regular beaver tail. You get 6 in a box, and the size of a mini is roughly half of the regular size - maybe even a tad bit smaller? We also ordered poutine (gravy is vegetarian). We thoroughly enjoyed the food and were happy to find a BeaverTails near our hotel. Vegetarian options: The poutine gravy is vegetarian.
Something new something cool. It s definitely shareable.
Good food if you are a tourist
Good place.
BeaverTails are a Canadian staple. The company originated in Québec, et les Queues (and the Tails) themselves are a special, indulgent Canadian treat that you must try at least once in your life! BeaverTails aren t real beaver tails, which is an inedible part of the beaver. Instead, they are deep fried dough pastries that are the size and shape of a beaver s tail! They are then topped with a variety of delicious toppings. I ve been getting their Classic since I was a kid, which is just cinnamon and sugar on top. There is NOTHING else like it; literal heaven on earth. I ve taken my friend and fiancé here separately, and they ve gotten the Oreo and Apple Pie Beavertails, which they loved! My fiancé s decidedly favourite BeaverTail, however, is the Ma ehple one. You also can t leave without getting their famous poutine, which is basically Canada in a dish. I highly recommend coming here to get yourself a BeaverTail. It is the only location open year-round in Toronto, and it is connected to the Harbour-front where different water taxis take people to the Toronto Island. It is truly a must if you re in Toronto! Wheelchair accessibility: The two doors to enter the restaurant are at ground level.
Ordered DoorDash and they don t even put the minis in any sort of bag just hand the driver the box so of course they were ruined soggy and all on top of each other when they reached me. Like they were completely inedible. Forgot my drink but gave me a straw - driver said they didn t really disappointed.
TAILS! TAILS! TAILS! Vegetarian options: Most of their menu revolves around deserts you can ask for no butter Food : 5/5 |
The customer service representative was very patient and understanding.
Ordered the banana chocolate one, taste good, great view
Beavertail virgin no more. Rang the bell! Also ate it so fast forgot to take a picture of my maple sugar beavertail
Really good desert. Nice place.
We went there to taste the famous beaver tails Soooooo and the staff are just lovely With a pleasant view
