This was my first time doing kamayan style at a Filipino restaurant and the experience was truly a special one! This night will be one to remember for year to come,. My friend introduced this place to me and I didn’t know what to expect, but they did not disappoint. Great food and great service. I can’t wait to return and perhaps visit the other location!
Amazing experience and lovely staff they were very welcoming and showed the Filipino culture amazingly! We got the food set and we were pleasantly surprised with the service and meal quality!
Came close to closing time on Halloween night. They were doing live karaoke and having a great time. Could request song, and the two singers gave an amazing performance of my favourite song Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls! Very friendly and family feeling vibes at Casa Manila. Pictured here are chicken adobo, tamarind stew, chicken spring rolls, the mojito, the ube pina colada and the pandan jelly dessert.
Simply put, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to try Filipino cuisine for the first time (and I have my kind date to thank), even more so given my dietary preferences. For someone with a spicy taste palette, this was certainly something way different, and I learned a thing or two about Filipino cuisine (and I can see how their infectious joie de vivre spills on to their food—blessed folks, I’d say). I would be remiss to not give a shoutout to the awesome Jade—thank you for ensuring my date and I had a fabulous lunch (the birthday touch was indeed very thoughtful). You are an asset to the team. I’m quite looking forward to my next visit and I already know what to try then.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with smiles and a joyous and welcoming hostess. She provided my 7 yr old with crayons and a sheet to colour of things that represented the Philippines. The food was delicious and there are many options. For you who know, Filipinos love their karaoke and how fun that they also provide this, no matter what time of the day. It's a nice change of food in the midst of the Danforth. Will be coming back with the rest of my family who love food and karaoke.
The best filipino food I’ve ever had! Received complimentary chicken skin and vegan mango ice cream. Ordered the pork sinigang lunch special with salad, super fresh with a lovely calamansi sauce. Sinigang had lots of meat and vegetables, tasted very authentic and tangy while not being too oily or salty! Milkfish was fried well and the belly was delicious. It lacked a bit of flavour but the other dishes made up for it! Beef kare kare with oxtail was one of my favourites, especially when adding the shrimp paste. Pancit palabok was another favourite. Amazing depth of flavour and very unique from other asian noodles with the pork and shrimp sauce, chicharron, eggs, shrimp, and annatto seeds.
Came with a big group and our tables were nicely decorated. They had mini coconut cups and leaves on the table. Food was delicious and can’t help but want more. The flavours mixed really well together and I got the garlic rice. I was nervous the garlic would be too much but it wasn’t. The desserts were also soo good. I got the warm cassava cake and it was heated and melted in my mouth. Please get the cassava if you ever come here. The service was good since we can in a big group. Our server was the best she had jokes and was supper friendly. I would come back here especially since they are good with groups too.
It was our first time trying Filipino food and we were very pleasantly surprised! The style and décor of the whole store are very characteristic, and the details are wonderfully done. Dining here is as if you are close to the sea, with a slight sea breeze blowing, time stands still, and you can enjoy the multi-layered taste of Filipino cuisine. We will definitely come back!
We ordered 3 dishes- pork sisig was great (get chicken sisig if you don t want your dish too greasy), beef kare kare was a bit chewy, pancit bihon had a bit too much soy sauce in it and was on the salty side. 2/3 were below expectations so it was a bit of a letdown. They made it up with the great service and cozy homelike atmosphere though. Order the hot calamansi drink - perfect for winter!
We ordered 5 or 6 items and all of them were horrendous. The noodles were sour as if they were drenched in lemon or vinegar, the chicken sisig was basically chicken skin deep fried which just tasted like oily fried batter with no flavour. The beef tasted overpowering with peanut butter flavour. Service was wonderful but food was not tasty at all unfortunately.
A few months ago, while driving Uber, I picked up a Filipino couple on Danforth. They had clearly just finished dinner and I asked what restaurant. They said Casa Manila - the best Filipino food in the city! Well, last night, I finally gave the place a try and thoroughly enjoyed my meal and time there!! Five stars all around!
Most of the items were so bland it lacked taste buds. Usually Filipino food is very tasty but this unfortunately was not it. I came in to celebrate my birthday but was very disappointed
So disappointed! Ive waited for 1hr for take out. i ordered chicken sisig , pork bicol express and crispy pork binagoongan . Portion of the food is pricey. meat is tough and tasteless. This is my first and last to order in this restaurant.
I really like the pancit bihon and chicken adobo also the bangus sisig that I ordered today for dinner, it was so good.
The adobo chicken was delicious and service was excellent! :)
so disappointed. the meat is stale (binagoongan) so hard not crunchy(sisig) bicol express is disappointing. not what we arr expecting. never again buying food from this store. Dietary restrictions: not good to eat stale food
My family came to Casa Manila for the first time back in early September. We enjoyed eating milk fish, crispy pork: was a little too dry, pansit, the halo-halo was a nice dessert and a jug of calamansi drink. We were served by our friendly waitresses. The interior design of the restaurant was beautifully presented. I recommend this Filipino restaurant. Parking: Download a parking app and pay using the location on the sign.
Awesome !! Me and my wife came down to check this place out after seeing a video on TikTok about and it did not disappoint ! The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly . It felt very warm and welcoming to be there I highly recommend giving it a try . We ended up ordering more just to take home haha
My 2 friends and I made a reservation for the Kamayan Experience (which you pay a $50 deposit for ahead of time). When we got to the restaurant at our reservation time and let them know my name, they realized they did not have our table ready. I don t think they knew about the reservation at all. We waited to be seated for 25 minutes. We were served veggie sinigang and chicken chicharon which were both tasty. The Kamayan came out 30 minutes later. It was good, but not something I would go out of my way for. What really soiled our night was the service. We asked for our bill and noticed there was no deduction of the $50 deposit from our total. The waitress came back and confirmed she had deducted the $50 (which was good!), she had also accidentally processed our payment as cash and that because of this we had to pay in cash. We didn t have $115 in cash. So the waitress suggested we either go to the atm down the street or pay them through e-transfer. We were baffled. Another waitress came over and took our looks of dismay as another opportunity to explain what went wrong, impatiently saying this is very straightforward. She also mentioned that $115 would be deducted from waitress A if we didn t pay cash because of her huge mistake . We just kept asking if we could pay with a credit card. And eventually they did let us. But the entire interaction was very odd, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. So, while we did enjoy the meal itself, it was not enough to win us over after being seated 25 minutes late, and seemingly guilt tripped over not being able to pay with cash.
Love the place and free karaoke!
We went there for our 13th anniversary for lunch. The food was perfect, the dessert was yummy and the staff were extremely friendly. I recommend this place to everyone.
Beautiful restaurant, cozy atmosphere and friendly service! The mojito was very tasty but the highlight was the pork adobo, perfectly seasoned and sharable. Highly recommended
I have been to the York Mills location for a numbers of years now, and learnt about the new location during pandemic, and was excited and had ordered food there multiple times. The food has always been delicious and service has never been bad, UNTIL last night. At 6:27pm, I called them to order multiple dishes of food (almost $200 worth of food). The restaurant then called me back and asked how long would take me to get there. I told them in 10 minutes, as I was already on my way from Dundas & Parliament area. I get there, and wait for about 15 minutes, then I asked the lady (I believe she might be the owner or manager) how much longer, she said another 10 minutes, so I decided to step out, and came back in 20 minutes. By the time I came back, one server was busy with tables, and the lady was busy around the kitchen area, I asked again, she said another 10 minutes. While I was waiting at the front sitting down, there was a customer, who has been waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes. She asked me, if she should go up to the back and asked for a table. By that I have been waiting for over an hour already. I told her that I have been waiting for my food for over an hour, and I think they might be swamped with tables and take out and that I am slowly losing my patience as well . The lady customer then took off. I then went up to the kitchen area at the back and told her that If I knew it would take this long, and if it was communicated to me when I placed the order over the phone, I would have gone to run some errands instead of waiting. After almost an hour and a half wait, my food arrived. Unfortunately, this experience has totally left a bad taste in my mouth and I told them this would be my last time coming back. They have lost a loyal customer.
My family threw me a surprise bridal party at Casa Manila Danforth! What a beautiful restaurant, with excellent service and the most delicious Filipino food and desserts. I am so grateful to Mila and her staff for such a beautiful experience! Salamat!!
Breakfast was delicious! Recommend the tofu adobo and longsilog. The calamansi juice was delightfully refreshing and the halo halo was super fun and tasty!
Food is not that good or server is very rude
Food and service was great. Atmosphere was very cozy.
Outstanding food and service! Have nothing but great things to say about Casa Manila
My goodness... portions large!!!! Service impeccable ( Marcus and Jade) my Sangria was huge and delicious. Lechon aroma was attracting pedestrian traffic . Vibe and decor is wow.... it seems there is a chair firmness/ type selection( menu) which I never knew actually matters! TASTY Filipino dining option on the Danforth! Karaoke anyone....?
Great food great staff!
We got the Kamayan Mixed Set 1 and it was absolutely delicious! Very generous amounts of meat. The garlic rice is a must have. The service was amazing, super friendly and quick. Food
Its a small but quaint restaurant. The service personnel were great with us. It was an authentic experience of the cuisine including cassava cake and ube ice cream. I am looking forward to returning for a traditional style meal.
Everything about this meal was delicious. I had pork adobo, jasmine rice and lumpia with a pitcher of iced tea (mint and lime included) The staff was friendly and kind. Overall a great experience!
First time trying casa Manila and was very impressed! Not only was the brunch deal great, but all the food was delicious. Definitely worth checking out!!! Staff was friendly !!!
Came in for 20 dollar all you can eat brunch. Not sure if its a regular promotion, but we got lucky! Its my first time trying Filipino food, so I dont know what I had, but it was delicious! Definitely coming back. Also, very friendly team. Food
Food was good and service was amazing.
Store has great potential for growth. Loved the crispy pork skin!
Incredible food, great friendly service. Will be back many times
Portions very small for the price. Containers werent even filled and our sinigang only had 2 shrimps in it...
Good vibe , nice food
Great karaoke!!!
I went with a big group and ate was very accommodating, giving us the mic to sing karaoke, and communicating clearly about the progress on our food. The food was very delicious, I highly recommend Combo 1!
Terrible
We tried filipino food for the first time and we couldnt have found a better place to do so! The food, the service, and the vibe is amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
Excellent food (drinks were so good) and service, and music! If you sign along to the music you will be given the option to grab a mic and sign.
delicious filipino fare in a great location and aesthetic dining room! love the truly authenticity & portion sizes. we ordered combo pick 1 for 2-3 people but it fed 4 with lots of leftovers! sarap
Great Filipino spot in the Danforth! Combo picks are very filling and give a good sense of popular Filipino food
All the staff are awesome. Came here for my birthday! Thanks much dinner was fantastic
Such nice people, delicious food & they have karaoke
Always wanted to try this place as it was close to home. And we have never had Filipino food. I wanted to enjoy this place but was sadly disappointed. The service was slow as the staff was entertaining and interacting with another table; ignoring other tables. Wanted to try the Filipino pork skewers (street food) but they didnt have any. The restaurant is supposedly known for these skewers. Positive - the food came out quickly.
I really Love the atmosphere it feels home! Food is good we got Bulalo as it is described from the menu it taste like the one that you can get from Tagaytay. I hoped we could get the pork sisig however it is not available. It seems it is known because i heard the other table is ordering it too but it was not available. Nonetheless my visit is really worthwhile.
Really enjoyed eating here, the food is super tasty and authentic to Filipino cuisine!
Really promoting Filipino culture in a genuine way. Welcoming, sweet. And a really luxurious bathroom.
First timers . Nice and cosy philippino resto . Food was really yummy and great customer service
Excellent food; lovely staff, very friendly very personable owner
Super friendly staffs! Not to mention large portions of delicious food
Delicious food, lots of variety, generous portions, friendly service.
The dining experience was wonderful. The food is delicious and the portions were great. The staff was very friendly.
Adobo and beef shank soup was so good Very friendly staff as well Gave us sample to try as we were trying to figure out what to order Food : 5/5
This is the best location of Casa Manila. The food is fresh and authentic and the menu is SO vegan friendly if you want a delicious Filipino meal that pleases both omnivores and herbivores. Odette our server was so gracious. This is my favourite Filipino restaurant in the city :) Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegan menu with knowledgeable staff
The food was incredible (we had the seafood platter) and the service was so friendly!! Will definitely be coming back :D
absolutely incredible experience! the service was attentive, friendly, and SO much fun. the portion sizes were very generous, the food was hot and delicious, and then they did karaoke at the end of the night. we laughed so much and enjoyed our time there. cannot recommend this place enough! it s also queer friendly - gender neutral bathroom & the staff made my partner and i feel welcome.
Great place to try Filipino food! They offer a wide variety of platters so you can sample different dishes! The servers are always so friendly. The decor is so cute! Bonus: Theres karaoke. Always a good time! Food
Cozy restaurant, very hospitable si ate (I don t know her name ) delicious dishes and a so good halo halo. Would definitely ba back again
Great service. Amazing food.
Great Filipino food and amazing service from Jade! She s super sweet and made us feel welcome as soon as we stepped in. Could not recommend this place enough!
I had a nice date with my childhood friend at this location. The atmosphere, music, interior design and the food was amazing! We had a lovely time. The food and service was spectacular!
Casa Manila is a standout spot on the Danforth for anyone interested in exploring Filipino cuisine. Its combination of authentic flavours, available karaoke, warm ambiance, and friendly service makes it a destination worth visiting. Whether you re a fan of Filipino food or new to the cuisine, Casa Manila offers a delicious and memorable dining experience.
Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian and vegan options. My vegan dish had lots of tofu! Dietary restrictions: The server was great at catering to dietary restrictions. Another bonus: they have outdoor seating.
Food was very tasty and service was amazing
Great food, Good service. thank you!! Casa Manila. Food
Food is so good and the customer service is superb and cool ambience. I like the pansit and the pork belly! Food
visiting from uk, best spot for filipino food - beef kaldereta is a must try!!
Good food and nice people, but we waited for 1 and half hour to have food. Very crowded and the staff seem to prioritize UberEat/take away orders. Will not come back although food was good.
We loved the pork adobo and halo halo here! The patio is also very nice.
Delicious veggie / vegan options! Get the tofu Sisig, I don t think it was on the menu but it s soooo good. Always really friendly service too. Salamat!
Awesome servers and mouthwatering food! Thanks Kath and ates!
The food was really good! 100/10. It really satisfied our cravings. Thank you for your service!! Food : 5/5
I had one of the best food experiences there. And the staff was great, her recommendations were so good . Can t wait for the next time !
Too expensive for the quality and terrible service. Food took so long to come and the server is never on the floor so it s hard to order or ask for stuff
Went there with my Dad for lunch on Fathers Day, first time on this location and all I can say is the staff are very friendly and the food is top notch would definitely come back again.
First time eating here and I really liked the food! Me and my wife shared the Bicol Express and the mango salad, and both of those dishes were delicious. Our waitress, Kristina, was very sweet and really helpful at explaining all the different food options and gave us great recommendations! Will definitely come here again.
Obviously ethnic food is a monolith but I like how authentic the food is here. The longsilog is my go to but I tried the mild pork adobo today. Will go medium next time.
Took an out of town friend there for a Kamayan Feast. It was also my first time there as well. It was such a cute place and the serving portion was MASSIVE!! As a Filipino person myself I have to say the food was the closest to what my Mom makes so it was absolutely delicious. You do have to reserve in advance for the Kamayan feast so be sure to call and reserve ahead. Great service and food. I recommend.
Ate Odette and Kuya Edwin were exceptional servers! My friend and I came here to celebrate my graduation, and the food was superb it truly made me feel like I was back in the Philippines. To top it off, we were treated to a free halo-halo to celebrate my graduation . I highly recommend this place for both dining and unwinding!
My friend and I were craving a taste of nostalgia, so we decided to try some Silog meals, reminiscent of our university days back home. It was everything we hoped for and more! Generous portions and top-notch quality made the experience delightful. A special shoutout to Ate Odett and Kuya Edwin for their exceptional service and delicious food. Well definitely be coming back for more
It was a full house on a Monday night, half the restaurant was reserved, including one group that had pre-ordered quite the spread! Maria was super friendly and helpful though she was alone for serving (she explained an employee hadnt come in but she made sure we enjoyed our experience, we hope she wasnt too exhausted by the end!). The food was simply delicious, the descriptions are informative (easy to spot gluten-free or veggie/vegan options) and accurate, and the choices are beautiful and tasty. Strongly recommend!
Incredibly delicious food! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan and veg options Food : 5/5 |
Taste great and large portions. Highly recommend
Awesome food and service! Really warm family atmosphere and great drinks as well!
Amazing food, with a refreshingly warm atmosphere (and throwback Filipino/pop karaoke!)
Came for dinner on Friday. Showed up at 5pn - two other tables were present, restaurant was empty otherwise. Waited seven minutes to be seated. After being seated, server came around with menus - Summerlicious menu was placed front and center, but had lunch printed at the top which ended at 4pm. Asked server if they offered a dinner Summerlicious menu and was told they didnt. Makes it confusing why the Summerlicious menu was even brought in that case. Ordered the chicken adobo with a side of garlic rice. Also got a glass of calamansi iced tea. The iced tea was mostly ice and pitifully small for $5. Chicken adobo was either made with overcooked chicken breast, or extremely overcooked thigh meat. Either way, the meat was dry, tough and stringy - some pieces almost had a leathery texture. The sauce was sharp but flavourful. The garlic rice just tasted like white rice with some toasted garlic on top. Fine when combined with the sauce from the chicken, but overall boring, particularly for the price. I asked to hold onto the dessert menu after ordering. In the middle of my meal, the server came around and took my menu - I asked her to leave it and she either didnt hear me or ignored me. On her way back to the kitchen, I asked again for the dessert menu back and again she either didnt hear me or ignored me. I finished my meal - after waiting another six or seven minutes for her to come collect the dishes, I asked again for a dessert menu and received one. Ordered the ultimate halo halo for dessert. The ice cream served on top was already in the process of melting as soon as I received the dessert - at the time, the shaved ice portion was overly frozen and needed to be chipped apart with a spoon. Otherwise, the dessert was fine. Overall, not impressed with the food or service. The atmosphere of the restaurant was charming enough.
Delicious! If you have never had Filipino food, come here! Our server Kristina was very good at making suggestions. Well be coming back for sure!
First time trying food from Philippines and I loved it! Great service, guidance and delicious meals. I recommend the chicken adobo, it was my favourite
Editing my review cos I came back for the second time and i waited for an hour just to be served the wrong food. I asked to cancel it instead and left after wasting an hour. They offered me the wrong meal for free but it is not what I ordered. I would no longer be recommending this place. The first visit was great but the second is very terrible.
Dined here last Friday for the first time and it was great! We usually visit the Casa Manila on York Mills but being we were in the area, we hit up the Danforth location. Quite a bit of outdoor patio seating but we chose indoors this time! Service was amazing as our server brought out complimentary soup as well as atchara along with our meal! They also had karaoke going at lunch time if youre into that. We ordered a combination set which includes adobo chicken, garlic fried rice, coconut vegetables, crispy lechon kawali and a fried milkfish on the side. Food was great all across the board and we were more than stuffed amongst 3 people. Would recommend for your Filipino fix on the Danforth!
First time at a Filipino restaurant.. very tasty and cozy. Will come back Food
Got the express pork and it was absolutely delicious! If you enjoy coconut milk dishes this is a great option. The service was also very friendly.
I adore this new location! Theres seating both outside and inside and either option is comfortable and pleasant. The food is yummy (and they have so many vegan options!) and the ambience (they had some fantastic oldish songs playing, but not at a deafening volume. So conversation was still easy) is lovely. Make sure to ask for recommendations and mention the flavour profiles you like, and they will happily share what they know. Our server Jade was a gem (no pun intended). She had suggestions and even obliged me with a small side of the papaya salad when I mentioned I was considering ordering a dish just because came with that as an accompaniment. And to add to that, when she came to know that we were celebrating my birthday, she gave us a complimentary dessert (scrumptious!) with a candle and sparkler! At the same time, they played Happy Birthday in the restaurant, and sang along too. It absolutely added to the days sparkle. Would happily come here again. For those curious, I ordered the mung bean stew (quite hearty) with a side of steamed brown rice. The complimentary papaya salad was perfectly sweet and tangy too. The dessert they gave us was, I think, the vegan mango icecream. The icecream itself was execellent and it had jelly cubes (made of agar agar, I think) at the bottom. Those were delightful too! And also reminded me of the jelly I loved a as a kid. Perfectly set and not too sweet. The person dining with me ordered a pancit dish, quite mild, which they enjoyed. They also really liked the virgin mojito. And at the beginning of it all they also gave us complimentary soup. Light and with the right amount of garlic and spring onion flavour. And as always, the portions were very generous! Dietary restrictions: Multiple plant-based options available for every course!
My mom and I were so excited to eat bbq and sinigang at Casa Manila, but Surprisingly the food was not as good as we expected. The bbq came cold was not fresh and the sinigang meat was tasting off. Other than that the other server Med was a sweetheart about the situation. The other location at york mills was way better than this location.
Staff were friendly and polite. The food we ordered were very delicious, especially the tofu karekare, sisig, pinakbet. We also ordered ultimate halo halo party bowl good for 6 to 8 persons and it was so delicious and refreshing. We will surely come back.
Love the food and the ambience! Reminds me of home.
Awesome food and good services as well.
Great food! Servers were very attentive and friendly!
Great little find on the Danforth! My partner wanted a tasty cocktail, so after some research, we chose Casa Manila. The Coconut Dream cocktail was amazing, so creamy and refreshing. Perfect for a warm day. The little patio offers 3 two seaters with inside seating as well. Tried the pork spring rolls for a snack and they were super tasty and crispy. We will definitely be back to try more things!
Amazing Filipino dishes like the Bicol express and the sisig !! Karaoke was offered but didnt want to embarrass myself Parking: Friendly service which offer us to sing karaoke fun time
Very nice place, food was good!
Love the food and the ambience!
Very fast and friendly service
The food is great. The staff is very pleasant. Good ambiance, and the place is really clean.
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Great vegan options as well in case thats your thing! Vegetarian options: While they are not a vegetarian/vegan restaurant, they have a dedicated vegan menu, and they label menu items as vegetarian/vegan friendly (if applicable)
Just finished eating here. I order sizzling pork sisig. The sisig taste really good serve still sizzling in the plate. Crispy and tasty. It comes also with soup. The soup taste excellent. The service is fast, the servers are helpful. Highly Recommended.
i wanted to love this place, but i didnt. the food was extremely disappointing, looked nothing like the pictures and was definitely not worth the price they were charging. i was expecting a lot more based on the good reviews i was seeing, but it was very lacklustre. sadly the only thing that was good on the menu was the garlic rice. the bistek tagalog was not good, it was dry, bland and just not good, dont order that. the pancit was ok, bland and nothing special really. the chicken skewers were ok, kind og cold and not really grilled well. extremely disappointing especially since we spent over 100 dollars on this meal and didnt leave feeling happy with our meal that we spent a lot of money on and had high expectations for. i also dont like the fact that they were very transparent about the pricing of things. mostly i think the thing we ordered were wayyyyy overpriced for their value. not good at all considering i can make these dishes at home and they would probably taste better and i would be able to save some money. overall, do not recommend if your looking for a good filipino food.
Great authentic Filipino food!
The food is authentic filipino which reminds me of home. The place is clean and has an aura of ambience. Daing na Bangus, Kare-kare Bagnet with bagoong is worth coming back for. Their lumpiang Shanghai is the best .
We are the chicken spring rolls which I highly recommend. We had the chicken curry which was so flavourful. The garlic rice was really good too and the warm Biko for desert was delicious. It reminded us of sticky toffee pudding.
Cozy local eats for Filipino food on the Danforth. Service was excellent and food was very flavourful.
This is my first time trying the Danforth location of Casa Manila and I was already enamored by the place. Its smaller than the North York location, but the environment and decor is charming and inviting. The staff was absolutely lovely and friendly, I couldnt help but smile every time I interacted with them! There is slight differences in the food in both locations so they have their own taste but I still enjoyed every bite I had. I would definitely come back for the food and experience here
Absolutely love this place. Very cute Decor and charming staff. The food never leaves me disappointed.
Food was delicious, got the pork sisig and it was crispy, rich and flavourful, paired perfectly with the garlic rice, will definitely return to try the calamansi mojito
A wonderful and delightful restaurant on the Danforth thats priced reasonably! :)
Best filipino food I ve had outside of the Philippines! I got a calamansi iced tea and chicken tocilog. The tocilog arrived sizzling on a cast iron with eggs, rice, atchara and vinegar. It was the perfect balance of savory, sweet and sour! The patio is perfect for a summer day and iced tea. Maria and the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. I want to bring my friends and family :) Vegetarian options: Tofu
My first time... after the friendly wonderful service as well as delicious ginger soup & fish tacos, I wish I had come sooner.
This was my first time at Casa Manila. I walked by many times and was curious but this time a friend and I tried it for lunch. The food was delicious and they had many wonderful vegan options. We also tried the potato cake which was delicious. Ill definitely be returning. Vegetarian options: There were some good vegetarian and vegan options to enjoy.
Amazing spot. The pork sisig was amazing. Paired with a Red Horse, can t beat it.
Delicious! We had pinakbet, tofu sisig, tofu karekare, adobo chicken. And halo halo of course lol
This is authentic Filipino food with generous portions but make sure to save room for dessert! Very rare find to have so many vegan/vegetarian options and a menu with everything marked so clearly. The ultimate halo halo includes ube ice cream and authentic leche flan. The best ube ice cream I have tried! Friendly service, maraming salamat! Vegetarian options: Nice selection of vegetarian/vegan options. Dietary restrictions: Well marked menu with vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options.
Food was so delicious and the server was friendly and accommodating for our group of 4.
Amazing food (very tasty, tender meat, the garlic rice is delicious and the chicken adobo was a big highlight), amazing drinks and the whole experience was above and beyond my expectations.
Kayan tasted amazing!
Thank you for making my boyfriend s birthday Kamayan a very special one!
The most delicious food ever. Its my first time eating and I can say there is a depth of flavor in every dish that makes me want to explore more of the menu. The pork belly is perfectly crispy, the chicken adobo is an amazing blend of sweet/vinegar, and the calamansi iced tea is just sweet enough and incredibly refreshing. Cant wait to come back for more!
Just wanted to take a moment to compliment the service i received from Jade this afternoon. So helpful and accomodating The ambiance of the restaurant is surreal and all of my fav song were played, and she was fantastic! I appreciate a server who does a great job, a perfect display of relaxed competence. Well done!
Great food and even better service! The adobo chicken was awesome! Food : 5/5
Wonderful Filipino food. Great variety at affordable prices. Fish tacos are phenomenal! Highly recommended! Food : 5/5
Ordered party trays from Casa Manila delivered to our office. The food was delicious and everyone asked where we ordered from The beef kare kare was the best of it all! The sisig wouldve won but its best enjoyed fresh from the kitchen. Thanks to Nina, Mila and Zaldy for the excellent customer service
Great food, excellent ambience! Will definitely come back for some Halo Halo!
Tasty vegan options!
Food was amazing and servers were friendly and attentive. They even busted out the karaoke for the 2 people celebrating their birthday. It was just overall a great time and will definitely come back again.
For Authentic Filipino Cuisine come to Casa Manila at 508 Danforth. We ordered pork belly, kare-kare, mixed vegetable - pinakbet, fried boneless milk fish and garlic rice. The garlic rice just goes really well with any Filipino food, Fried pork belly was seasoned just right, crispy but juicy and tender. There are other vegetable options but we chose the pinakbet. The vegetables were cooked just right not overcooked and flavored with native Filipino bagoong (shrimp paste). The fried boneless milkfish was my favorite especially the belly part. Kare kare is cooked in peanut sauce. Delicious with fried pork porkbelly. The sauce was really good. You can taste the authentic peanut flavor. They have a great selection of cocktails and mocktails. We ordered pinacolada, margarita and the Filipino version of root beer called Sarsi.
Terrible customer service. Dining in may be ok but do not place large party or catering orders they will fail you most of the time as well as their delivery service partners
Wonderful experience at Casa Manila for dinner, we came from London and wanted some Filipino food and this really hit the spot. The owner is a lovely lady and we would definitely come back!
If you re looking for good filipino food go to this place!
My first time coming here and I am very happy with what my table of 4 got. The food was very fresh and tasty. Chicken adobo was wonderful. Great service and a wonderful first experience!!! I will be coming back here frequently with family and friends.
Great food with very friendly service! Variety choices of food. Will definitely visit again :)
I really don t understand why the reviews are so high. This food is over priced and greasy. We paid $10 for garlic rice? A greasy bowl of rice with garlic. Some fried rice s in Toronto are cheaper than that. Their crispy pork looked and tasted dayssss old. Their chicken sisig fries was all fries, no chicken at all. Maybe a dusting of chicken. The fries were so greasy and soggy, not crispy at all. This cannot be the best Filipino food by any means. We waited 20 minutes after being seated before we were served water. The restaurant was completely empty too. What is with the outrageous prices, day-old greasy food, and slow service.
Super friendly staff. Delicious food. Will come back for sure. Food : 5/5
We had a great time at Casa Manila! Two of us got the fish kamayan and one the vegan kamayan. Service was very friendly and they played the drums as they served us which was very fun. Definitely recommend the calamansi iced tea. Will be back!
Amazing service from everyone there. Extremely friendly and the food was amazing! Our birthday celebrant really enjoyed her night and it was all thanks to the amazing staff at Casa Manila!
Wonderful food and service! Thank you!
Great energy and service from staff and tasty food/drink options
The food was delicious! We had the pick 4 and the beef kaldereta. We had great service from Odette! Maraming Salamat Ulit! Parking: Theres a paid parking lot on the corner
very delicious
Delish!!!!
I could fall into a blissful food coma after this. The place has beachy vibes and the server was such a delight.
Great service, lovely atmosphere, food is excellent! Had the bistek and cassava cake, both were done well. Note that you have to order rice on the side separate from the main dish. Dishes were a little pricey for individual orders, but I look forward to coming back to try one of the group combination meals and feasts!
First time eating in this restaurant and we loved it. The food is delicious and comforting, and the service was outstanding. I recommend trying the Flan, it was rich and delicious
I highly recommend Café Manila on Danforth. It is a cute little restaurant, bright and cheerful as are the staff. We really enjoyed several dishes that we tried, and the ubey cake was excellent. Will definitely go back there!
Really good food, atmosphere and service! Best halo halo in town!
Loved the food and friendly staff
Intensely flavourful abobe pork, vibrant, happy atmosphere and the prettiest bathroom. :)
An amazing first time Kamayan experience! We celebrated a birthday and it was made very special from beginning to end. The waitress guided us through the experience and was super accommodating to dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and well worth the very reasonable price paid. A very enjoyable experience!
The food was absolutely delicious and the venue is quite beautiful. Highly highly highly recommended.
We order the filipino fish tacos and the beef kaldereta, they were so good we forgot to take a picture! The service was great, friendly and authentic, it made us want to go Thailand :)
Excellent experience, and thats why a well-deserved 5! Jax was top shelf with the customer service, and the food was just a fun adventure for a couple of newbies. Highly recommend..., and well be back!
Professional staff. Incredible food. Friendly homey ambience. This place is a must-go-to restaurant on the Danforth.
An ultimate experience in the true authentic Makati fine dining Philippine cuisine, which is only nothing but the best in the Toronto eatery!
The food was delicious, the service was warm, and the ambience, enchanting. Highly recommend!
I went on date here with my vegan girlfriend and had a wonderful experience! They had a whole section of the menu devoted to only vegetarian/vegan dishes and throughout the menu there were options to make other dishes vegan. My girlfriend ordered the tofu adobo and I got the chicken adobo. Both entrees came with a delicious soup. The server gave us the option to have the spice on the side and we received a small bowl of hot peppers that we added to the dish. They added a lot of heat! For dessert, we got the Pandan ice cream and it was the best dessert my girlfriend had ever had! It was so light and sweet and came with jellies at the bottom. We will definitely be coming back again or getting takeout! Dietary restrictions: Fantastic vegan options from appetizers to entrees to desserts!
Amazing authentic food and a very extensive menu. Everything we had was delicious, including the Calamansi Margarita and Ube Sans Rival. Would highly recommend, but expect to sit back and take your time and truly enjoy the meal.
Wonderful place. Very lovely vibes all around. Food is delicious and every authentic. The staff are friendly and very accommodating.
Food was delicious accompanied by very friendly and attentive service! Definitely planning to come back soon!
We had the fried pork belly and it was delicious. I will definitely be back.
Went to have some cocktails with friends and the place is fantastic, Lj was so nice to us. We will come back for sure :)
We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant and loved everything about it. From the atmosphere with amazing 90s music (played all of our favourite songs) to the Delicious food (with no msg!). The server was attentive and cared a lot about the food and our experience. We have since come back multiple times and would recommend this to our friends!
Food was really great! The staffs are super friendly and nice. I love their halo halo! Well surely come back to this place.
Amazing delicious food and drinks
So glad Casa Manila is in my neighborhood. Came for dinner and ordered Combination 2, lumpiang Shanghai and dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious! Generous portions and don t forget the garlic rice. Service was warm, friendly and fast.
This was my first time trying Filipino food and my server was so informative and patient. The food was also fantastic and according to the Filipino person that accompanied us it was very authentic!! 10/10 would go again. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the entrance!
This is such a fantastic find! We had brunch and milkshakes. The service is friendly, super helpful, and timely. Highly recommend!
Went here to celebrate my wife s birthday. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and at a very reasonable price! The ambiance was also great. And, as expected of Filipino hospitality, we got a complimentary ice cream with jellos and a candle on top. Made my wife so happy. Thank you Casa Manila Danforth!
First, THE best service! Staff are very friendly, helpful, accommodating, and thoughtful! Spent my birthday here, they sang for me and gave me complimentary desserts with candles. The food, awesome! Very tasty and delicious and it is really fairly priced. I don t have any negative thing to say. I am happy and will definitely go back here to dine. I will recommend to my friends!
The food was pretty good. The service was solid as well. The prices are a bit high for the amount of food. Overall, a good experience.
Great food, great service. Had a family birthday, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Cant wait to come back.
always provides the best food and service!
Such a nice place with friendly service!
