Always our reliable place to order lunch from. Lots of variety and great dishes.
We had their food delivered and it was awful. The skewer was hard and cannot be bitten into. The portions were small. The lechon was cold and hard. The portion of pancit palabok was tiny compared to the cost. I will not order from them again. The chicken adobe’s chicken was hard. There was not 1 dish that we had that was good. There are many Filipino places out there. Don’t order from them.
august 2024 The food is still AMAZING!!!! Sinigang and caldereta wow 🤩 —————————— JUNE 2024 : Wow 5 stars Nice portion, fresh food. Sinigang and caldereta .
We had food catered to our party and couldn’t have been more pleased. The catering crew came on time, setting up done quick and efficiently and in no time, my party was ready to eat the items I picked out to serve. Food was delicious. I felt the price per head was a great deal for the amount of things given and offered. 5 mains, 3 desserts, drinks including coffee, tea. An awesome team to help serve and make sure things are going smoothly, and MORE! I was able to sit back and enjoy the party. They really think of everything when it comes to presentation as well. The crew was friendly and a pleasure to have at the party. Looking forward to eating more good food at the restaurant until the next time I’m ready to do another catered party 😄
Older review from my Yelp: Hands down one of the best -- if not the best, Filipino food place in Ontario. I try to travel all the way to their place, just so to satisfy my cravings for Perlas' authentic Filipino dishes. They sell out early though, and I always arrive late, so I was just able to get their already packed dishes to take home most of the time (as they were already cleaning up for closing). So far, I was able to get from them: Beef caldereta Lechon Pork belly lechon (with all the herbs!) Ginataang bilo bilo Bott ed atchara Even their dried fish (tuyo) is perfectly (crispy) fried. Also, people behind the counter are very welcoming, attentive, friendly, and always have a smile on their place. Further, non-Filipinos alike line up to order from them. There was even one time that a non-Filipino walked up to them just to say that their food tastes really good. Let us appreciate and continue to support extraordinary businesses like this.
I ordered the batchoy and it was delicious! The broth had so much umami and there was a lot of beef in the bowl. I haven't had anything like this before so I really liked this dish. It's like the Filipino version of ramen. The price point was a bit on the higher side but it's because this food stand is attached to a grocery store. It has similar pricing to Seafood City. My boyfriend got the tapsilog and he really enjoyed it. I would definitely come back if I do my groceries and want to grab some Filipino fare.
It's tucked away inside the Al Premium food court area and isn't open particularly late (closes at 5), so it's best to try and swing by during the earlier day time. Ordered the Tapsilog from their all day breakfast menu and was thoroughly impressed! The cured beef was super flavourful, soft and well seasoned. The garlic rice was also a nice touch. Overall, the portioning of the food was generous enough that I was full and also enjoying bites of beef and rice together the whole time. I also grabbed a large tray of their cassava cake and found it to be really delicious - a nice touch is that they also line the bottom of the tray with a banana leaf so you can catch just a hint of that when eating the cake too. Hope to be back to try more from their menu!
Excellent food and tasty quality. We ordered food take out for a party and I ordered 1. Kare kare 2.fresh lumpia 3. lechon kawali 4.crispy fried shrimp. I will definitely order from here again. Pearl was very nice and even help bring our trays to our car. 10/10
Diniguan is left over of adobo, taste weird
Carbonara is really the best!

It could have been perfect, but the service is very poor. If I hadnt called to follow up 45 mins after the original delivery time, Id have no food to serve my guests on New Years Eve (2023). The food is good otherwise. Food : 4/5
Food is actually quite good for a grocery canteen. Parking: Loads of parking no need to worry about this. Kid-friendliness: This is a grocery canteen so you shouldnt feel awkward at all if you bring some kids with you and set up a nice spread for them to eat. Wheelchair accessibility: The mall its washrooms its entrance is all wheelchair friendly. Make sure your wheelchair has a basket or spot for one if you intend on doing some grocery shopping.
Very very very very poor service. I ordered food to be pickup at 4pm. I arrived at exact time and they told me to wait for 45mins or more because they will start to prepare the food at 4pm because I said the pickup time is 4pm wow amazing!!! Seriously???? So if you want to pickup the food at 4pm you should tell them that you are going to pickup at 3pm so when you arrive at 4pm its ready???? so whats the purpose of giving you time if you will not prepare it on time
Dont Even Deserve 1 Star.... No Repeat Business, i ordered 4:00pm pick up for Xmas Eve. Then the lady in the counter said the order will just being prepared. If you dont consider your time, then consider your customers time. Never Again PERLAS DE PILIPINAS. Horrible Customer Service..... will never buy again.
I ve ordered UberEats and then a catering order for a party. My favourite place to eat Filipino food other than home!
No one was there to serve us. Then we ended up getting food from the other counter.
Ordered longsilog for take-out. Good Filipino food. It was a little bit greasy but it tastes really good. It was also packaged well.
THE BEST FILIPINO BREAKFAST/BRUNCH EVER!! 20/20
My favorite place for authentic Filipino food! Everything tastes like home cook meal made by your mama! <3 Pearl is so nice! She really cares about her customers. She also gave me free turon with my purchase! I wish its not so far for me so I can come here more often. Definitely worth the travel!
i just ordered sisig which cost whopping almost $20 and yet such a small portion. rip off. then halo halo i didnt even eat at all m tastes so old. spent like $40. never again!
Found them at Barkarda Market. Still can t believe I was charged almost $30 for 3 skewers (2 bbq sticks and 1 grilled longonisa- which was the frozen ones you find a grocery store- saw a guy opening the packages) the kicker $6 dollars for a small cup of rice, that I think the price was made up on the spot because there was so much confusion on how to charge just rice. Service was also meh. My food was ready sitting on some table and no one told me until I asked. And some lady just pointed to it and said yes . Not even handed to me.
Just ate there for lunch today (Aug4), Ive eaten at Perlas plenty of times however, today was a disappointment, I ordered the combo with lechon kawali amd veggie stew(pinakbet) was told extra $1 for lechon kawali - ok no problem. Right of I was skeptical because I was given the tidbits remainders of lechon it looked like it was leftovers because it was cut up already usually they would cut off a piece from the big piece of the lechon and give you about 5-7 pieces(depends on the weight) Nevertheless, after paying north of $18 with a can of coke the lechon skin was tough and rubbery not the crunchy skin that one would be accustomed to when ordering lechon kawali in fact, I really believe this was food from the last night. Case in point the colour of the meat was really off not the clear white juicy pork belly meat and the taste of the entire combo plate was really off. I suppose its a buyer beware philosophy - very disappointing normally I would give a comment to staff personally but, it seems this establishment doesnt care about food preparation and quality anymore - angry and disappointed spending my hard earned money and I get this in return. PAGNAT - (pangatlong init)
Ordered some igado and other food for the first time here. Everything was good except the igado, which never arrived
Delicious and authentic Filipino food! Thank you :)
Delicious sisig
food was great. The reason i took a star off was because of the lady who assisted me. I ordered a feast / platter for pick up. I was given a paper and i was instructed to go to the nearest cashier to pay for the order. I lined up and waited for few minutes, when my turn came, the lady cashier told me that i needed to go to customer service because shes not able to scan the paper that was given to me. I went to the customer service area and there was a line up for customers checking out 1-8 grocery items. I had to line up and wait again before i was able to pay for my order. I shouldve been directed to the customer service line right away so i did not have to line up and wait twice.
Had longenisa with rice and eggs. Everything was absolutely delicious. I wish they had a location closer to home!
These guys prepare the BEST stews, simply amazing. Also very friendly staff.
Really good food. Big portions. Two mains and side for $10.99 or one main and side for $8.99. Large portion is enough for two people with big appetites. The food tasted home made.
I ordered binagoongant thru door dash so disappointed No taste and No anchovies. Wont do it again.
Found Perlas at the Pinoy Night Market and got to try their pancit. It was the best pancit Ive ever tasted!! Definitely will be ordering more and will be back to share more of my thoughts.
Parents picked up food from here for my sisters birthday/ family get together last Saturday... felt sick after....
They have the best sisig, kare kare, and silogs!!
We ordered the following via UberEats: curry chicken with rice, chicken embutido with rice, chicken adobo with rice and humba. A few minutes later we received a call from the resto that humba was n/a and i asked if they can suggest a substitute. The lady sugfested menudo. Overall food is delicious and satisfied our craving. Each portion was neatly packed in containers and the menudo came adorned in banana leaf cut in a circle. It was a lovely touch and we felt as if we were dining out. Feedback: Curry chicken needs more sauce on the rice ... Also chop the pork in smaller pieces for menudo as it is a little tough to chew. Delicious meals and great value, very clean.
Ordered the Longsilog with an extra order of Munggo. Portions were really good and the longganisa was delicious. The Munggo was a perfect compliment to the order. 5 STARS!!!
Outstanding food and service. This is the best filipino restaurant in Scarborough. One of a kind and Highly recommend.
Good food
Thank you for your support for the nurses in CCU in St. Michael hospital April 26, 2020 night shift We truly appreciate it. Thank you for the boxed dinners. It made our shift easier. The food was delicious. The springrolls were amazing ... meat and the vegetables one. Also everything else....so good. Thanks again. From Vienna. Tina. Eunice. Aalok. Kirk. Carol. Kiran. And our MDs.
Amazing, Amazing Filipino food. The best Filipino food in Toronto.
The food is yummy and authentic! I recommend to try it for yourself especially their stir fry noodles (pansit), lechon paksiw and fried rice. Good job Keep it up! always make your customers satisfy and happy especially the portioning.
I love this place. Its located inside the Al Premium grocery store. Its displayed and served food court style with affordable prices to match, but the food is restaurant quality! The food is not greasy and the portion sizes are generous. Great bang for your buck and a good way to explore Filipino cuisine since you can see every dish in person before you order. The option to get pancit (stir fried thin noodles) instead of white rice with a lunch box order is so amazing!
I love the food and I love Pearl.
Thank you for our meal last Sunday, my wedding day. We all enjoyed your delicious food and evening was everything we hoped it could be. Thank you so much. Order kami ulit.
Food is great. But when your order from UberEats certain stuff on the menu is available and then you get a call that what you want isnt. Sometimes you cant even order at all.
Like the food.
This is my first time here it was hard to find because its in the food court of the grocery store .. the Mongo with tuna flakes was very good .. the paksiw bangus was too sweet for my liking and it had no veggies .. the puttong bong bong was good with lots of coconut
Its food court style food. The photos are misleading since youll just get take out containers. Still good but the photos do not represent what you will receive.
I am obsessed. I only order on skip the dishes but the food is amazing every time the portion sizes are perfect it really tastes amazing every time. ONLY down side is having to wait for wednesday :(
Recently ordered and tried food - my friends and i loved their food particularly the Sisig, Pancit Bihon and Lechon Belly. They do serve authentic Filipino dishes. Whether your looking for lunch, supper or you want to host a buffet party - I highly recommend Perlas de Pilipinas to my kababayan. Pearl is a very lovely person and my first experience of ordering party trays was awesome simply because of her. Thank you so much Pearl.
Great food, awesome service! I definitely recommend Perlas de Pilipinas. We love being served with fresh food and cooked perfectly. They even serve for party needs. Thank you for our awesome daily lunch!
Superb taste! The lechon stands out probably the best lechon I ever tasted from among every lechon specialty houses in the GTA! This is located inside the food court of Al-Premum food market at Eglinton Avenu East beside LA Fitness and Costco warehouse. Higly recommended!
The best Filipino Cuisine in Scarborough. A place where you can find authentic Pinoy Specialties. Certified RAPSA (SARAP)!
Until I came to Perlas, I had yet to have Filipino food which was no problem at all. I was warmly greeted by the server who, without asking, walked me through every dish available with an offer to try anything I would like. Both dishes I had with my combo were very well prepared and delicious and were offered at a very affordable price. I was also offered a sample dessert which was equally fantastic. The server was very welcoming and friendly, so much so that I felt I should give her a hug as I left. A definite need-to-visit in the east-end and a great welcome to many future Filipino meals.
I ordered from uber. They gave me adobo instead of tapa. Why is there laurel leaves in my tapa! Never again!
Food was delicious!!!
