TGTG. I ordered 2 too good to go for $15. Was not that supposed to be $40 worth of food. They filled one box up with white rice and some chicken. And other one with half full box of noodles. Was not worth it. DONT BUY MORE THAN 1 TGTG.
Excited to come home and eat this isaw ordered from tagpuan and this comes in the stick, moldy isaw being fried...causing my daughter stomach upset!!!!!! This is not acceptable and we will report to health and safety and food handling!
Pro tip, check Too Good To Go near closing time. Great food, great price even without using Too Good To Go though. My son and I used to liked their hopia ube, but the last one we bought sadly tasted weird so we haven’t tried buying here again.
We ordered beef pares and found out the beef used was recycled ( tasted like left over beef 😞😞😞). But the sweet crispy banana rolls ( turon) were really good.
The lady owner is arrogant! After my order and 2 other ladies' orders were delayed she had the audacity to feel upset and say to the other 2 ladies "be quiet don't talk!" And to add to the injury she tells me after paying not to come back and they don't need our orders, they don't need us and they have 5 other locations!! Great winning attitude for a business owner, you are definitely making it inviting for customers to come flocking to your store!!! We don't need you too, there's so much more options out there who will be more appreciative and more respectful than you!!!
Ordered green beans and squash, fried rice and crispy pork. The vegetables were good. But what really surprised me was the friend rice, it was better than I though. My only complaint with my meal was the pork was mostly fat with barely any meat. Overall I would order from there again whenever I go grocery shopping.
Good place to get Filipino food. They change their selections for some of the dishes to keep things fresh.
First time ever coming in. Was working close by. And the guys I worked with said we had to try. Lots of hot food to pick from. Staff was nice. I love chicken fried rice. It's favorite. This wasn't special. Chicken was kinda cold. Rice was fine. I will try again to make sure. Hope.its better next time.
The manager of this place is nice Good food , good serving , wish it could be bigger and more seating The staffs are friendly Would recommend this place rather than go to fast food
ONE OF THE BEST Filipino Restaurant in TORONTO!
Very friendly staff and felt very welcomed. I ordered a fantastic, well portioned meal to feed my family. Food was great, thank you for the Pancit
As a Filipino food lover, I frequently visit Filipino restaurants, cherishing both the food and the warm ambiance they offer. However, my recent takeout from Tagpuan was a letdown. From the moment I placed my order, the staffs appeared bothered by my questions and showed no interest in helping. Whats worse, when I asked about my order, their laughter and conversation in their language felt unprofessional and unlike the welcoming atmosphere I usually encounter at Filipino restaurant. Overall, this experience left me feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.
Not only once! This store will charge you differently! Instead of charging medium they will charge you with large! Did not happened just once!
I usually go to the VP location, which I love. I dont mind the Morningside one but my family has complained that the fish doesnt taste the same as the VP location. Im not sure, because apparently they get their product from there. I am annoyed with the Morningside location because I checked to see the hours of operation before heading over to get the breakfast. Hours said 10 - 7 so I waited in the car until 10. Only to find no one there and when I finally saw someone at 10:10 she told me they werent open. They changed their hours in the summer 2022 to an opening of 11. It is now February 2023 and they failed to update their hours on the website. I went there for breakfast, which is advertised but they dont open until 11? That doesnt make sense especially since the grocery store they are located in is open. My husband always complains about the food I bring from this location but I try to give it a chance. That was my last one. Im not a foodie anyway so I didnt notice the difference from this one and VP but Ill stick with the VP location from now on.
Really loved the garlic rice and the mango chicken. The fish was too salty. The Shanghai noodles and lumpias were also delicious additions.
Our go to place for Filipino food takeout !
Have always been ordering Daingsilog here! But recently their portions have gotten smaller in terms of the daing. It used to be half of a big daing, now you ll just get the baby daing.
i like the service of the chubby girl who serve in the morning, she is very friendly and good..
The food is really good they always give you a good portion, the consistency of the food is always the same i like going there every morning when i crave for some filipino food the girl who s wearing eyeglass who works there every morning she is really nice and super friendly thank you for your great service will definitely coming back.
Catering service was basura! Bad communication on the staff side, I spoke with Eve and placed an order. I received several confirmations of my order and pick up time. When I finally showed up, there was nothing to be picked up, no apologies, and they tried to blame their part time staff (did not take ownership of the issue). Another customer was in at the same time with the exact same issue. Your time and money is better spent elsewhere.
TLDR: great experience, will try more dishes! Found Tagpuan on a food app to prevent food waste at the end of the day and decided to try them out! They are inside the grocery store but not hard to find. We got a surprise bag of goodies for a really good price, and the food was spectacular and plentiful! We cannot choose whats in the surprise bag, but we ended up getting some great stuff: sinangag fried rice, fried squid, lumpia Shanghai, and caldereta. Will definitely return to try other dishes!
Best filipino food
Ordered the Longsilog, I get a cup of stale white rice, 2 unseasoned sunny side eggs and one small link of longganisa sausage. The sausage was delicious but at that price point it is ridiculous. The whole meal cost less than 2 dollars to make and quite frankly a meal you make at home when you have nothing else in the fridge or financially struggling. To charge customers 14 dollars for such low quality standard of food when there are so many other options in the city absolutely blows my mind. A insult to other small business restaurants who make much better food at the same price point. Just buy the sausages in fusion frozen section and avoid this place completely. If i could give this place no stars I would, atrocious food. 0/10
unclean place and tasteless food
Love the palabok (noodle luglog) and poto!!!
