Fantastic experience hosting my wedding at Jump restaurant. Great experience working with the events team, pricing is clear, and the restaurant staff did an amazing job with the food and service. This is the PERFECT LOCATION for intimate weddings, the restaurant already has good amount of decor (cute lighting and wine cellar back drop) so we didn’t have to decorate a big empty space. We did the wedding ceremony at the cocktail area, which is a separate room from the dining space, the space is very cute and warm, guests get to huddle before the ceremony. After the ceremony, our guests loved the canapés … highly recommend the chicken skewer and calamari. For mains, everyone enjoyed the steak, salmon and mushroom ravioli. The portion sizes are very good. The highlight of the course is the pastry cheese cake, it’s very unique and adds special flavour to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend the space and everyone enjoyed the celebration. Shout out to the events and dining team (Andrea, Jessica etc)
Lovely restaurant with lots of seating. We went there before a concert and they made sure we had lots of time to get to the venue before the start time. Food was wonderful and service was excellent. When filling the restaurant they make sure to seat you away from the others until the tables surrounding you are required. This was a pleasant surprise as it is nice to have some quiet time before all the seats fill up. There is happy hour pricing until 5pm. We had ravioli and focaccia for dinner followed by white chocolate cheesecake and a pear tartan. Dessert was good; I think we were expecting better based on the taste and quality of the mains.
What a gorgeous hidden spot in the heart of downtown! My wife brought me here to celebrate a key milestone in our lives and this place was just perfect. Firstly, the staff is extremely courteous and accommodate for varied requests. Starting with table selection, since we were there with our baby boy in a stroller and we requested for patio in our reservation, they took us out to the patio and asked us to choose which table would be most comfortable. We chose the perfect spot with great views and a light breeze. I had to change my baby’s diaper, so when I requested for the baby changing room, he immediately eacorted me to the accessible washroom and brought in a table to ensure I had everything with me to change the diaper. This shows how much they care about the comfort of the customers. Our server would keep checking in on us and would be quick with all our orders and requests. Secondly, the vibe and the ambience were so comforting that we lost the track of time. I highly recommend the patio, even though while you are arriving, you may think it will be noisy since it is close to Yonge Street but their patio design keeps the area quite silent. Finally, the food was excellent overall with some opportunities for improvement in their desserts - selection and their sweetness. Overall, absolutely loved it here and will be back for sure. Thank you team Jump! Keep up your amazing hospitality!
Summerlicious Experience ☀️ We hit up Jump in the financial district to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday with some friends, and boy, did we have a blast! Jump was pretty chill for a Saturday night, which was perfect for our celebration. We had a reservation, so getting to our table was a breeze. A couple of friends were fashionably late (thanks, TO traffic! 😉), but the restaurant staff didn’t rush us at all and took our drink orders while we waited. The appetizers arrived in no time – the Ahi Tuna Ceviche was a refreshing start! For the mains, the linguine with pangrattato was just okay, but the steak? Absolutely divine! It was seasoned nicely and definitely the highlight of the night. We wrapped up our meal with a delightful peach tiramisu, which was the perfect sweet ending to our evening. 🍑🍮 Service was top-notch! Our server checked in on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a spot to catch up with friends without the loud music, Jump is the place to be ☺️
First time at Jump and we had a lovely time. The service was excellent! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed cocktails to start along with the Heritage Beet Salad which was so flavorful! We ordered scallops and lamb. Both were delicious in their own right. We moved over to the bar area to end our night with a few more drinks. Highly recommend Jump!
Great dining experience for lunch today. The Braided Sausage Rigatoni was very flavourful and Jump’s Classic Peppercorn Steak, was mouth watering. We finished the meal with a delicious white chocolate cheesecake. Of course we were happy to know it was Happy Hour and enjoyed some bevvies as well. Our server did a great job however was not very engaging. Oh well, I’d still recommend going to Jump.
One of the most reliable lunch spots in the financial district in terms of taste and timing. The portion size is perfect and very robust menu. I’ve been many times and always had a positive experience. I had the catfish again and it was delicious as usual. IG: mansafx
I would have given more stars if I could. This is our second time coming here and it gets better every time. The food is amazing but the service is even better. At every turn our server Janus made the evening very special for us, just exceptional service. The kitchen staff also made our evening and our anniversary so wonderful, thank you so much to everyone working this evening. Also the cheesecake is to die for.
Amazing steak for lunch - perfect medium rare, served with baby broccoli and fries. Will try something different next time just to prove to myself once more that anything one orders in this place will be of amazing quality and great presentation. Please don t ever change :).
Amazing staff, great ambience. Food was worth the price. Absolutely great place tucked away in the middle of Downtown. Staff even decorated the dessert we ordered as it was a birthday as well. Wholesome experience.
Overall it was an okay experience. This is more a spot for after work grub and drink. The pasta was alright, was not a big fan of the lamb as it did have bone bits in them. Drinks were alright too. Nothing to write home about.
2 stars just because of the food quality. The service was fine. The dish I ordered first was way too salty so I had to return it the kitchen and I ordered a different meal. The second option was not good as well. The tomato sauce was too liquide and there was no tasty flavor with the meat. It tasted very plain actually.
I was here for a wedding reception. Enjoyed the lovely patio/outdoor terrace for drinks.
It was a tasty dinner and received good service
We hosted an event here this week and high-level service all around. I was provided raving positive reviews, and our attendees were very happy and satisfied.
Their salmon tartar, steak and sorbets are great!
Rating as a 3 star because the service was horrible. Even when paying, i was advised that I can only pay cash if I dont want change as there is no till on this floor. Truly disappointing. Service was much better prior to covid.
Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options in the main course. Food
The menu is interesting but a little spicy. What I blame the waitress for is overfilling the wine glasses when buying a bottle, this made the wine too hot quicker. Too bad the fire alarm went off during the meal. Otherwise the rest was good.
Staff is so lovely and professional. The patio is so cute. The happy hour specials are great (both for drinks and food). The cocktails are delicious. Great spot for after work with your colleagues or even a date.
The lemonade is delicious here. We only had appetizers so I will say: fries were good, their dip was interesting - but not like wow amazing. Their bread was good Sorry I forgot to take photos inside. But its very nicely decorated and great for a workplace social or date.
Excellent food and great atmosphere.
Food was over priced . Ordered the smoke pork . Way over priced and you don t get a lot of food here. Service was good. Overall I would NOT recommend. Go elsewhere.
Booked a 3:30 seating with friends. When we arrived we were told that the lunch menu ended in 30 minutes, which was fine because it was late afternoon - just wish we had been told at the time of booking. The service was as expected for this restaurant- generally attentive but offering privacy. The meal was a disappointment. It was from the lunch menu. The portion sizes were not generous (or even expected) - over $20 for about 10 (albeit large) gnocchi pasta in a sauce that tasted bottled sprinkled with about five mushroom slivers. My friend ordered the Chicken al Pesto - she did not finish it. She said it lacked flavourful and was tasteless. The fries we ordered as an appetizer came with our meal and were equally disappointing. Rather plain, small portioned, with dips of standard ketchup and a tomato mayo that basically tasted like a mixture of mayo and ketchup. Ive been to other OB restaurants - Canoe and Bar George - and was very surprised by our experience. Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are upstairs although there may be an accessible bathroom on the main level.
This is the perfect place for lunch during work. The cesar salad is one of the best I ve ever had. Service was fast and efficient. Would highly recommend the chicken al pesto because the pesto sauce was very tasty.
Very Tasty
Hello Good food seeker, never cheap out on feeding yourself. Very good food JUMP is a must check. Food
I havent been to Jump in a loooong time (~10 years). On this evening I came here with colleagues and client for dinner. Staff was amazing and attentive. Decor and atmosphere was very nice as well. Food was excellent. There were a lot of menu items I wanted to try, but landed on the seared scallop & Argentine shrimp seafood risotto. My only criticism is that portions werent great -- but I guess this is quality vs quantity debate, or maybe I just eat a lot ^_^ For dessert I got the pear tarte tatin, which was amazing, but I couldnt taste much pear in it (but it was still good). I had colleagues who sang praises for the white chocolate cheesecake as well.
I went here for Winterlicious last month and was so impressed! I truly loved the Mushroom Stroganoff Cavatelli and the desserts, if you could go when they have a promotion going on, it s worth it
Always exception service and attention to detail by the staff. Went for lunch and they delivered the food promptly and arrived hot. A bit more difficult to find options if you have a dairy allergy but they accommodated what they could. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the calamari was fresh tasting.
It started good then they had to overcook the tenderloin! Medium well well done. Food is too expensive for these mistakes. Tell the cook this! The guy only has one job!
Came here for the 2nd time for a business lunch after a disappointing experience the first time and unfortunately its the same. The place was busy and I didnt have a table setting for whatever reason and they didnt have enough menus. I asked for water twice from our server and it never came so I had to flag down another server to order a soda just to have something to drink. The food came out surprisingly fast so Im not sure if they just had it ready in the back. The food was ok but I suppose your expecting more at these prices. No one came by to ask how lunch was going which was ok. It just seems like they need more staff and better organization on busy days. I would have expected more from a supposed fine dining place. I would go else where for business lunches. Very disappointing.
Food was quite good, although tables are in close proximity -- nothing unusual for Bay Street, however. Id certainly go back again.
Basic downtown corporate feeling restaurant. O&B owned therefore, well run restaurant. Servers very efficient. Atmosphere is standard. Been the same for years. Dishes are creative and seasonally appropriate. Portions are decent soup was served piping hot. And definitely tasty. Very easy to get to if walking. Parking garages all around under ground.
Visited for Winterlicious recently and enjoyed a tasty, upscale menu with a great experience to boot. Theyre conveniently located in Torontos Financial District, with street-level access and indoor access both accessible. The food was prepared in a timely manner and all dishes were great - the salmon gravlax and Arctic char were delicious, as was the banoffee pie trifle dessert. Service was good as well and food arrived shortly after ordering - the staff definitely go above and beyond to make your experience a great one. Worth checking out for your next downtown dining experience! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options available Parking: Paid parking lot Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
Nah, nothing to write home about. Overpriced, limited selection, very basic food choices, but service is good. Thats about it. Not coming back, lots of better placed in that area.
Great food, did the winterlicious meal. Staff was courteous and atmosphere is very elegant. Prices were decent as well.
Excellent service, fantastic food, great value for money as it was winterlicious Food
Im not even playing around... This is a destination in Toronto.. If you havent known
Perfect place for Valentine s Day date. The four course menu was tasty and diverse. My suggestion is to add more vegan options
Food is superb. Flavorful and the right amount of taste. Duck confit was tasty, loved the puree. The heritage beet salad was phenomenal. Balanced flavors loved the creamed feta. Cheesecake was moist and soft. Our server Steven was attentive and knowledgeable of the wines. We had (3) bottles in total and were all excellent. Syrah, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Will definitely come back.
The overall experience was pleasant. Nice ambiance and the hostess Jenna was a sweetheart. The mushroom soup came out inside an extremely hot plate but the soup wasnt hot which was weird. I sent it back and it return just warm. Soup wasnt tasty. The fries w/gravy and curd cheese was delicious. Every other dish my guest played it safe. The jump burger pattie looked burnt. The ceasar salad was edible.
The food was great! The drinks were just wow
We had a wonderful dinner at jump, our waiter was fantastic and food was delicious
We dined at Jump before a show at Meridian Hall, and we were in a bit of a rush. Our server was very accommodating, and he placed our orders right away. He made sure that we got all our food and were able to get out in time to catch our show. We were there on December 30th, and they had beautiful decor with gold and black balloons which gave us some photo opportunities. The decor and ambiance is gorgeous. And the food in service is impeccable. We had beef carpaccio, burrata, and scallops for appetizers and all three were hands down delicious. For main course, we had lamb, chicken el pesto and half chicken. I felt the lamb could use more flavour, but the other two dishes were so good. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Friendly staff, great food .
Horrible service, horrible food. Will not go back.
Pros: great location for work lunch/dinner. Great service, perfect ambience. Cons: the chef! I ordered Salmon and I never was disappointed before by ordering salmon anywhere. It s pretty difficult to make salmon wrong. There was no bread and butter offered similar to other restaurants and then the salmon came as a small and thin grilled salmon on top of a watery soup like beans! I found the combination wasn t good at all. And also given the base was soup like, it should have come with a piece of sourdough bread and a spoon (spoon was not offered). The flavour was pretty strong too, it felt like a bad fusion of middle east, south and north. I felt the chef completely missed the mark with this cuisine.
I went there with a couple of friends recently after nearly 25yrs! From the moment we were seated to the moment we left, everything was Perfect!
Remove the weird carpet and consider rejigging the set up.
Amazing culinary experience for New Years Eve dinner. 4 course menu was delicious, and we did not leave hungry. Merci Jordan pour une très belle expérience.
My wife and I had the best dinner at New Years Eve. The food was immaculate, as well as the service. We would like to say thank you to our server Jordan for his overqualified job and the wine he recommended for our food. Many thanks
Tasty food with good environment
The service was okay but from start to finish I requested it to be special for my mothers birthday and it was nothing of the sort. Food was extremely mediocre and the portion sizes where small. We where forgotten about multiple times and felt like we where a bother . Going to have to redo my mothers birthday because I am extremely dissapointed.
I went for Winterlicuous Dinner. The Arancini appetizer was very nice, light and delightful. My main course was Seared Trout Bouillabaisse. It was extremely light, left me still hungry wasnt bursting with any flavors. My dessert was the Rum Baba Cake. It was also very light. Didnt taste any Rum but it was tasty. My sister had the same Main course as myself and she found a long hair in it so she returned her meal and ate nothing other than her app.(Very disappointing) Her app was the Arancini which she enjoyed but she also ordered seasoned fries which were not seasoned at all and the fries were short stubs (Very disappointing) I wouldnt particularly recommend this restaurant. Parking: They give you a voucher for $2 parking.
Decided to try Jump for my partners birthday and we were not disappointed. From that start we were greeted by their excellent service, where we recommended excellent drinks and were even given a complimentary oyster course. All the dishes were really great and the highlight of night was definitely the Osso Bucco! Finally they were so accommodating with the birthday cakes that we got elsewhere, where they even laid them out with great presentation at the end of the night. Will visit once again for the great experience!
We went here on Thursday night for winterlicious. The waitress was very polite and the service was great, but we weren t too impressed with the food. It tasted ok, nothing special. We paid over $200 with drinks and we didn t feel full when we left. The atmosphere is definitely very corporate because it s by the financial district, so not a romantic place if that is your intention going here.
We decided to host our team dinner at this restaurant and while the food was good, the service was really disappointing. I wouldn t come back for team dinners here or for personal occasions. With the variety of options available to consumers in Toronto today, restaurants really need to step up their customer service efforts rather than only expecting returning business simply for the convenience of their location.
The service was great, I found the food to be bland and not worth the cost. I had the mushroom soup and Cod. The Cheesecake was good.
Great spot to stop in for affordable & tasty food. The handmade pasta is excellent.
Very mid food. The Calamari was sooooo hard to cut. The salmon was underseasoned, but the foccacia, Pesto Pasta, and burger were all safe and good options. Its a nice place for an intimate date night with a nice atmosphere, but I dont think they do well with seafood.
It s a good restaurant. But used to be better. Interior needs a refresh.
Jump was overall a very good experience. The location is large and spacious (though a little more room between neighbouring tables would be appreciated). The service is friendly and accommodating. And the food is tasty and well presented. It is a very expensive dinner though (we spent over $200 per person, including taxes and a standard tip). With this in mind, while we had a very good experience, I d say that you d don t quite get great value for your money. Solid 4/5 stars Follow me on Instagram @yamisofoodie for more. Follow my award-winning recipe blog at @yamisohungry.
They re known for their blackened catfish which is what I took . Definitely a must try . Gets busy on weekday afternoons .
I booked a team dinner for 12. We went at 5pm . The service was slow. Few of our orders did not come out. Some of the main dishes especially the salmon were overcooked
Organized a corporate dinner here and was very happy with the service and food. A few little things could use updating when it comes to the decor but all in all, a pretty good experience. The only downside is that as a mobility challenged person, I had to wait about 5 minutes when entering and exiting for a security guard to come and operate the elevator. Wheelchair accessibility: As a mobility challenged person, I had to wait about 5 minutes when entering and exiting for a security guard to come and operate the elevator and that was very frustrating.
Avoid the specials.. to avoid disappointment. Game Night Surf & Turf?! What a rip-off..
Service was great they refilled our water very frequently and food was decent. Portion size was good but the burger was slightly over cooked. They said it would be medium but the burger came out well done. Still had a great taste and fries were good. Charging for refills on soft drinks is a bit excessive though! Still would recommend! Also a nice birthday treat of sorbet!
It s ok place
Very friendly and efficient services, tasty food and comparatively reasonable price.
Service was okay, but not great. Server s didn t know who ordered which dish and gave the bill to the birthday girl, however they were fairly attentive on drinks and were very nice. The food was mediocre. I got the jump burger and the patty was well done. The brioche bun was soggy. The toppings were a good mix.
Had a wonderful dinner here as part of a private event. 3 course meal including appetizer, entree and dessert. Will want to visit in the future and try the rest of their menu!
Lovely setting, great service and great food!
I booked this restaurant for Valentine s Day. They seated me in the middle of 2 tables literally 2 feet away from each other, Zero privacy. The cocktail I ordered had to be sent back due to horrible taste. Ordered their 4-5 course Valentine s Day menu. Everything was very mid. We ordered a large rib-eye to share, most of it was fat & low grade meat. Overall spent $400 for mid food, mid service all on Valentine s Day. This is worst high end restaurant I ve been to in Toronto. Had to JUMP right out of there. 2/10
Exceptional service very good food friendly staff
Wonderful food and very friendly staff!
My friend and I recently went to Jump for a girls night dinner. Service was good overall. There wasn t anything in particular on the menu that really caught my attention so I opted for a light refreshing cocktail, shared the grilled calamari, and the Seared Scallops & Golden Beet Risotto. Everything was okay but definitely overpriced. The grilled calamari definitely is more of an appetizer than a main. It s definitely not a big enough portion to keep you full. The risotto was good but only had four scallops. If they could replace the beets that looked like scallops, then it would ve justified the price a bit better. I spent (with gratuity) $88. I rarely dine out at high end restaurants so I was okay with paying that much.
Excellent service and food as always. Took away a star because some of the seats that line the wall are worn out. I was surprised when I saw that the first time this year returning after lock-down, but to still see it 4 months later, not good. Owners please fix those seats. Thank you.
Average busy spot for professionals. Nothing we had there was a repeat. Definitely not coming back but it is convenient if you work in the area and have a business lunch. You can get way better food for the same price at any other upper scale restaurant in toronto.
The food tasted good, not mind blowing. Portions were small, prices high. Server was super nice but never offered fresh cracked pepper. Worst of all the high backed seats are well worn, ripped, looked awful. Not going back until they clean up thier act
The atmosphere was lacking in energy and life, it felt similar to an airport lounge. It was nice, and the service was great but it was missing a warmth and it was not a vibe... Honestly it s hard to explain because the food was good, as was the service - but it was missing something. I probably wouldn t come back but it wasn t awful so it s a 3.
Great food and service. Parking in the area is quite expensive though.
Really lovely atmosphere best for drinks and apps. Staff is friendly and the happy hour deals are amazing
My daughter had planned and made reservations for a Mother s Day brunch at this restaurant. We were quite excited about it -we attended on time, and after a short wait, we were directed to the bar area right beside the washroom. This was odd because everybody else was in the main dining, we felt somewhat untoward. We waited for service. Nothing and no one came the fact that we were Indian, and they seated us alone in this other section beside the washroom concerned us, but we thought nothing of it until the next set of patrons who came in we re also Indians, and you guessed it -they put them in the same room, we were separated from everybody else we couldn t help but feel some level of Racism was afoot- perhaps they didn t want us amongst the rest of their patrons in the -rarefied air -of the main dining room. After waiting for a server to come, my wife, my daughter and myself had a bad feeling. We got up and left. No server attended nor did anybody even bring us a glass of water. We will never go back to a place like this-thoroughly disgusted with the service and putting us where they did when there was available space in the main dining room, it was disgusting . It begs the question- we made reservations one would think that they would have reservations for us at a table and would ve said to us -your table is ready in five minutes or it s not yet ready or we have seating at the bar do you mind that -they never even asked us. The only thing I can say is the service and ambiance as it was, I would rather want to JUMP off one of the nearest towers than ever go back or recommend this place.
Always outstanding
Poke was great and tasty.
It was good. Great ambiance, and good food. The table I sat at was damaged where the wood on the table top was chipped. We had the Wild Tame and Mushroom soup, Pear and Endive Salad. As the main, we had the Ossobuco and the Salmon. The presentation on all the dishes was incredible, and the flavours were good too. Is it a must-try restaurant? Probably not. If you re in the mood to try some Italian inspired dishes, then this place is worth it.
This was our first time eating @Jump Restaurant and we will definitely be back. The decor was very welcoming, the service was great and the food was excellent. The dining area and bar area are very different but both sections were enjoyable. Dietary restrictions: Advised the server that we had a nut allergy in our party and they were happy to accommodate. They also advised which items to avoid and modified one of our appetizers to provide a non nut option, along with the regular appetizer option. Parking: Great underground parking right beside the restaurant, underneath the restaurant. Super easy to park and dine, with other paid lots very close and within a short walk (2mins or less) Wheelchair accessibility: The parking garage beside/below Jump Restaurant has an elevator, which takes you from parking to dining with ease
Chill place. I love their Tagliatelle with Lamb Ragù Bianco!! I would highly recommend.
Went there with my friends on June 26th .The atmosphere was great but the food options were very less. Ordered a pasta which I felt was overpriced because the portion was too less for the price! $28 for basically small portion. However, the food tasted fine so I didnt mind it. The one major complaint i had was the server who served our table for the day. She was rude and was always busy (which is understandable) but at the end when we were paying, she made a rude comment to one of my friends who did not tip. This is unacceptable and should not be something that is encouraged by the restaurant. If tipping is something the restaurant feels is mandatory for their waiters/servers then maybe put a mandatory tip in the bill for groups of more than 4 people (which other places do) but waiters should not be allowed to make rude comments like that to their customers and for that one reason alone, I would give the place 1 star out of 5.
Food and service were great but the place could use a tune up. Leather seating was falling apart.
Nice place to enjoy good food with a glass of wine. Is this a place to enjoy fine-dining? Not really. Its more of a great place to enjoy wine and beer with friends and family.
We had a small work event (40 guests) at Jump and it was fantastic. The food was great and the service was extremely attentive and professional. Highly recommend for corporate functions!
Went on NYE and opted for a set menu! They have such Amazing food, full of flavours and so refreshing.
Memorable wedding banquet experience. Everything was good.
Went for the happy hour on the patio today. Wish I got the name of our server cause he deserves a shout out by name he was on the ball kept our water filled up and was v friendly. The patio is great and the happy hour is possibly the best value of any I ve seen. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return to try the full menu! We ordered almost 1 of each dishes between 3 and we all left in pain. Not shabby with the portions at all.
Jump Restaurant and its staff helped put our wedding together in record time - 10 days! It ended up being even better than our original venue (which went bankrupt..). Lal, Matias, Lane, Jordan, and everyone else there were helpful and accommodating, and we couldnt be more appreciative. To top it all off, the food was AMAZING! Thank you so much, Jump!!
My sons wedding venue went bankrupt 11 days prior to wedding. Jump stepped up providing a venue and meal which exceeded our expectations. Organizing excellent, meal great, service was fantastic at a price comparable to original place. Highly recommended.
The chicken Caesar salad was absolutely to die for, the salad had a wonderful fragrant smell, and the chicken was charred perfectly. The catfish on rice was horrible though, everything was too salty and didnt have much flavor to speak of.
While food was good, the service was extremely slow and inattentive. Water and drinks were not promptly refilled and it took extremely long for food to arrive at the table
Attended a wedding, which was organized with a weeks notice after another venue went bankrupt (and stole the money paid!) Jump did a fantastic job stepping in! Food was splendid, service was commendable. Definitely recommend this place!
A Bay Street Classic! I dont even know what else is on the menu other than the Blackened Catfish. Delicious.
I usually go for after-work drinks with co-workers, and its always a nice experience. The location is large and spacious, but they could give you more room between other tables. It is not a tight fit, but a little more privacy would do the trick. Staff is excellent. Polite and professional who are attentive but not overbearing. Over all the service is friendly.
The restaurant is lovely aesthetically speaking, decor is great inside and in the courtyard where there is additional seating. Arrived a bit before six and staff passed by several times, clearly looking at us and no-one coming to greet us. Im not sure how long we would have waited. We were there for an RBC sponsored dining event, and asked where we sh ould go to be seated at the bar as no-one came for about 15 mins. We were sent to a private party, the event (also by RBC) and were quite befuddled as it wasnt what was expected. After an embarrassing encounter with the patron if the wrong event, we were seated in our proper section. Off to a bad start. The food was well presented but everything was overly salty. Overall not a great night. The waitstaff however were attentive and pleasant. Lowered my score as the restaurant reached out with a mediocre response. No response would have been more satisfying tbh. Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible location
Grate food good service, nice atmosphere.I had the best passion fruit desert.
Peasant enough place for dinner. Large patio space. Small areas are available for social events and receptions, although a bit tight on space in this area. The areas seemed dark and somewhat dreary. Staff were not very attentive or fast. Food was ok but nothing special. Parking: It is expensive to park downtown to begin with.
Great decore and setup. The food portions are large. You can eat and feel satisfied after a meal. The fish sandwich special look very appetizing and delicious, the blackened fish on rice was also tasty. Nothing extraordinary, but good food. Food : 4/5
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Went here the other night with a group of 12. I had rib eye ($62). Steak was brought to table quickly and was prepared as requested and hot. Only issue I have really is the two DULL steak knives. Come on buy some good ones. These knives are done. Thanks for the evening. Bill for 12 adults about $700
The restaurant is loud and and lacks privacy for intimate conversations because the tables are closely spaced. All the food was excellent except the signature Jump cheesecake. It was wrapped in a soft, raw, unappetizing phyllo pastry and had large mint leaves that were inconsistent with the other textures. This dessert was left uneaten by every guest at the table. The delicious apps and mains might otherwise be enough for a return visit, id it werent for the inattentive service. We were left for 45 minutes without water refills or an offer of coffee to accompany the dessert. Even after a 3rd guest joined our table, no one offered a drink or food menu. We literally could have left without paying the bill and no one would have noticed. There are many other restaurant options to try so these oversights make it unlikely to return. Vegetarian options: The beet salad and cauliflower steak were very delicious!
Great food and service. Loud but fun
Being a Sunday the restaurant was rented out for over 100 guests. The staff were excellent. The event went with out any issues. Drinks and a 3 course meal was served and everyone was impressed. The steaks were as requested, fresh mushroom pasta was excellent and the lemmon chicken was juicy.
New Years Eve passed and the menu was 4 courses with good variety and everything was very delicious
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Nice ambiance and the service is flawless. The food is also amazing and very well made.
Stopped by for lunch before the holidays - happy to find these guys in a neighbourhood with so little open that time of day. Mixed review on the place but ultimately worth 4 stars. Although the lunch prices are a bit more affordable, this spot does tread into fine dining territory. Service therefore was pretty spot on and friendly. Food was either tasty or average. The molasses bread was basically incredible and my burger was tasty and enormously filling. My friend had the gnocchi which was small and bland. Overall a good spot for lunch. I think it has typical financial district prices and a generally reliable experience.
Good food, and probably nice for business events, but its a bit stuffy. GREAT burgers, great staff and some of the quickest service Ive ever had.
Delicious food! I love the gnocchi, it s got a nice hint of heat and is light and fluffy
I came here for Valentines Day and our experience with the server was amazing! Upon entering, we were offered coat service and were quickly escorted to our table. Our server, Karissa, was very attentive to our questions and requests. I love that she asked the kitchen to separate a dish we requested onto separate plates to save us the mess of dividing it ourselves, how generous! All used utensils were replaced with every course and servers always made sure water glasses were full. The food was very good as well, I wish there was a 4.5 rating because there was nothing wrong with the food but I do go into restaurants hoping to be blown away by flavours and textures. I really loved the mushroom soup, highly recommend it. The bolognese was also very delicious and you can really taste the pork. The tenderloin was alright to me, it was flavourful and easy to cut into but perhaps it was the combination of that and fries which made this $52 dish less worth it. Perhaps everyone has their own preference of characteristics for fries but I felt that my fries felt almost on the same level of store bought frozen fries. I was surprised to see that the soup and pasta that were a standard price were amazing but a higher priced main was sub-par. Ambiance wise, very upscale and intimate. The place was clean and the decor was tasteful. The bathrooms were a little odd as the water pressure was low and tissues were on the counter in place of paper towel or napkin. Overall, I do see this a good restaurant to go to and try but im not seeing anything amazing to come back for (except maybe the mushroom soup).
Beautiful restaurant, loved the food, menu is small. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We came here on December 21, 2021 for a birthday dinner and were treated poorly. Staff were judgemental and borderline accusatory when complaints with the food were expressed. The meals were not impressive. Waste of money and time.
Food is good but a bit pricey. Great service. Corporate vibe.
Really great service! Quiet location with really good food and an extensive drink menu
WoW, the service was awesome!
The wings, Osso Bucco and Yellow fin tuna tartar was on point. The Boar and beef bolongese was off the chart! I will certainly go back, especially for the strawberry martini.
Excellent service
Food and service arent what they used to be.
Had an amazing dinner at Jump on their patio the other day. Mushroom soup, tuna tartare and Jump burger were each incredible. Had to pick a favourite probably the tuna tartare. Wine list and service were also phenomenal.
Good food fun environment. Had a great time
The food and the dessert was so delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was excellent also. We are definitely going back for their superb white chocolate cheesecake and amaretto coffee. And I will make my camera ready.
Service was amazing, food was not bad.
Better places exist for the foodies. The meals were fine but nothing special. Service was fine, not great. The atmosphere is boring. Will not be coming back.
Everything we ate here was delicious. We enjoyed the poutine fries, olives, burger and the salmon.
Service is good. Food is just okay. Does not live up to the fine dining experience Jump drives to delivery. Overpriced for the quality of food overall. Interior décor is also a little stuffy. Feels like a restaurant from a menu and vibe perspective that doesnt quite know what it is.
Beautiful experience, very delicious food and exceptional wines, the place is very nice, I would repeat the place without a doubt!!!
Bland and oily pasta, would not recommend. Service and ambiance is very nice. Food is decidedly average.
Great drinks and appetizers. Really nice spot on the patio with good service. Well done
Amazing staff, food, and venue. Top shelf for sure.
Stumbled across that place for a late lunch. Really very pleasantly surprised. FANTASTIC server - Petra I think she was called? Lovely, really friendly lady, well informed about the wine and menu, not in your face but right there when you needed her, before you needed to ask. Food was delicious. Wine was fab - we only had a house white and red - but both were excellent. Nice ambiance. Would go back tomorrow.
Great service, love the outdoor sitting area. Usually busy during lunch hours
Nice patio
Had a wonderful summerlicious dinner. Flavourful food and friendly service!
We really enjoyed our afternoon at Jump. The waitstaff and manager were very professional, efficient and friendly. We had the Summerlicious dinner menu. The Heirloom Tomato salad was awesome. I also really enjoyed the Stuffed Pork chop which was delicious and beautifully presented. My friend declared the Cucumber Melon soup was the best soup she ever tasted!
Fantastic Summerlicious choices including vegetarian and vegan so everyone can enjoy. Server and staff were helpful and friendly. Beautiful patio, perfect outdoor dining experience for a summer evening.
Definitely not a fine dining experience! Was underwhelmed, mostly due to three reasons: 1. My Duck Ragout Pasta was bland and nothing to write home about. 2. Dining room felt extremely crowded. 3. Service was ok but couldnt read the mood at the table, hence didnt add to the atmosphere.
Had our anniversary here. My wife ordered the summerlicious set. I ordered from menu. All good was good. Sever was professional. Good vibe.
Very disappointing experience with Jump. My family went there this Thursday for dinner; a birthday celebration for grandpa. After being seated, no server around for at least 10 minutes. We don t even have water at our table. I have to wave to one server and asked if she can get our server and she said she s our server and will be with us shortly. The whole restaurant is not even half full. Long wait for everything. Nothing special about any dishes. The worst is the most expensive dish on the menu, ribeye steak. The chef cook it right, but the quality of the meat is subpar, extremely chewy. We did mention it to the server, basically just getting an apology and thank you for our feedback. We ordered some desserts to share (again, another long wait while we were the only table left), gladly they did remember putting happy birthday on the plate. The server kept apologizing for the wait, anyways, everyone was tired and disappointed with the whole dining experience. I was surprised when I check the bill. The server knew we were unhappy with the steak, they did nothing to make us feel better. Most restaurants would treat one of the desserts for the birthday guest as gesture, unfortunately we were charged everything. Throughout the whole time, no management check on us and see how things are going. I did not say a word, we just paid and left. I dine out at least 3 times a week (fine dining and casual). I am accustomed to great services and food quality. Never again to Jump. I should not rely on those positive reviews on this restaurant. I felt horrible picking this restaurant for my grandpa s birthday.
Great experience! Service from host and bartender (we sat at the bar) were excellent. I had the Ricotta Agnolotti. It was very good. Good portion size. Light fresh pasta. Greens and lemon were a good compliment to cheese and pasta. If anything was less than 5 it would be the decor/aesthetic, which was nice, but a refresh would elevate the venue. But I have to say ambiance was great. I loved it. Sorry pic is not great. But it was very good!
Two experiences here, both the same outcome. You re either left unattended to, or completely rushed out the door.
The food is amazing. Beef tenderloin was best I ever had.
Incredible place for corporate lunches. BC salmon was amazing
Great spot for a client lunch.
I want to thank Jump Restaurant for the wonderful job they did in being the host venue for my daughter s wedding. China was incredibly helpful and immediately responsive to all of the questions we had in the crucial final days and hours before the event. I cannot tell you how perfect the day was. Everything clicked! Every guest told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Comments about the food were glowing, as I knew they would be, but there was equal praise for the service. All of the staff were efficient, kind, friendly, thoughtful and attentive. One guest with special dietary needs said she was made to feel like a queen! It is a difficult time right now in the service industry but clearly your corporate practices have ensured that your staff feel valued, respected and well cared for, hence their obvious dedicated commitment to Jump and to O&B. I especially offer my thanks to Zosia, the manager on duty that night for overseeing and ensuring the smooth running of the evening with outstanding decorum, thoughtfulness and efficiency. Please ensure that the O&B corporate leadership team is made aware of the praise I have for the event coordinator China, for the manager Zosia, and for the efforts of all the staff working that evening. Thank you again for all you did to make the wedding celebration everything the bride and groom dreamt it would be. Warmest regards, The Mother of the Bride
Just Amazing
Peppercorn Steak was perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding.
Beautiful ambience, great food!
excellent, all around. service and food both 10/10.
Visited for lunch, it was a very good soup and sandwich special at a premium price. Id like to visit for dinner next time as some of the menu options were tantalizing.
Great fine dinning spot if you re looking to host a coorporate event in the middle of financial district. Nice ambiance with a wide selection of whiskeys. Food and service 5/5 Definitely recommend!
We visited Jump recently for our works Christmas party, the food was excellent, the service superb. The only down side was that the venue closed at 10pm. . . . . .albeit this was a bonus the next morning. Well worth a visit for the food, one colleague noted it was the best steak theyd eaten.
Delicious food with beautiful presentation. Everybody enjoyed their meals. The food here will make you want to come back for more. Great spot for a business lunch in the financial district.
First review because the service was that bad. While the food was decent, hospitality was not a concept in this restaurant. Had a team dinner here where our server was rude and dismissive throughout the night. I can empathize with services workers and hectic crowds, but her attitude was standoffish from start to end and it was enough to dampen an entire corporate outing. There are endless options downtown, you dont need to dine here.
Great spot to go for some well priced, quality food. The squash caramelle are an excellent choice as a pasta dish. Updated menu can be viewed below.
Great food & service
