Chefs hall more like chefs balls 😔. Don’t let my expierence prevent you from going cause chefs hall so many vendors to offer. I just wasn’t a big fan of the pizza it felt to cheesy and heavy. The stall that served japanese food as well seemed very mid, i had better. Overall the food did not seem worth the prices
I was given a cold hot dog! How is that possible? The restaurant 'Grandma Loves You' doesn't know how to warm up a simple hot dog⁉️🌭 That's odd! Especially for $6.00+! Never returning! The line wasn't even that long! I'm trying the Japanese restaurant next door instead. Just an FYI for Chefs Hall, your food vendors look miserable as hell. Any of them could've called me over and told me about their food. They look MISERABLE!!
We stopped by the Chef's Hall after visiting the TO Outdoor Art Show. We looked around the offerings and settled on tacos. I liked the freshly made corn tortillas, while my better half found they fell apart. (She prefers flour) They were generously sized, but I found the flavour underwhelming, and neither of the provided sauces a good addition. However "The Sandlot" was playing while we ate, so I finally saw the end of that movie.
Amazing hub for everyone to experience downtown food and drink, especially for group. You don’t need to reserve table. There are so many seatings and multiple restaurants to choose. Drink, Eat, Play, Love.
Loved the food here and atmosphere. We went right before the lunch rush which seemed to be from 12pm to 1pm. There's a lot of seating inside and outside. Also patio on side had toys for kids which our kids loved. I def recommend for a meal!
Food court meets choose your own adventure restaurant choices. There is a lot more space inside than it appears from outside and first entering. Through the back is another hall of small tables and larger cafeteria space. The vibe is similar to Time Out in Montreal Eaton centre. There are plenty of vegetarian options, dessert, cocktail bars, and coffee to suit all tastes. It's a good spot for eating with friends or dinner after work. There seem to be events on occasional evenings, which look to be interesting.
Head all the way to the very back and eat at Iwami - was AMAZING!!!! We LOVED the carbonara udon, the deluxe roll was delectable, and the salmon truffle roll was refreshing. The chef was so kind and friendly and made the evening truly special! Felt like a fine dining experience in a casual food hall setting!
Italian Night at Osteria scossa in Chefs Hall, a fancy food court with multiple food vendors in downtown. 💕 We went on Thursday night and there was a difference between day and night. There was live music, creating a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after work. We loved the Rigatoni Ragu and Gnocchi. Nothing can beat freshly made pasta. It was soft and chewy. Both of them tasted so good and complemented perfectly by the sauce. The Italian Salumi board with three types of salumi was also a perfect starter. 🥰
We hosted a wonderful event and couldnt fault the service and delicious food / drink! We were so well looked after and wouldnt hesitate to book with you again! Thank you so much!
This is one of the coolest cafeteria-style restaurants I ve been to, great quality food, cool atmosphere, 10/10
Great place to have a holiday party. Lots of food options, staff are helpful and friendly, and great ambiance.
Great place to host party
Good food. Spacious and courteous staff
Specifically want to shout out Scossa. Their pasta is SOOO good. But the service was 20/10. The folks helping me this afternoon were so kind and gentle and hospitable. Really want to make sure I give them a shout out.
The ramen place was great
Came with a group of friend and the place is very nice to watch game or sometimes they have movie night which is amazing !! Food is good depending where you buy it from as I tried only two of them. Try the brigadeiro of Mary !!!
Excellent
Its Yummy ! I love Miso noodles. Food
Amazing ramen. It was very filling and tasty. I took the special spicy ramen.
Get the Hyderabadi chicken biryani
Great food and a nice variety to pick from!
Average food yet expensive. Variety of foods for surr but there are better food markets around such as The Well.
Have been here a couple of times and really like the atmosphere. There is something for everyone here.
Great place to go out for a nice dinner.
Great atmosphere and food selection but very pricey.
A really cool, hip, modern spot for all foodies with all kinds of food preferences. A little bit of something for everyone. Reminds me of the food halls in NYC and Chicago. We have a Hawaiian Poke Bowl -- best weve ever had! Was very difficult to choose which booth to order from, everything smelled and looked so good. Filled up over the lunch hour with lots of locals grabbing their lunches -- always a good sign! Will definitely be back to try out other stalls. Kid-friendliness: There is a stand that has burgers, fries. Theres hotdogs and chicken fingers. Something for even the pickiest eater.
We hosted an event at Chefs Hall and it was a great experience. The events team was wonderful to work with, it made planning easy, and the guests had a great time. I would host more events here in the future!
I tried 5 places and only 1 was awful. The sushi was fresh and so wonderful. The customer service from the prep Chef was outstanding. He was prepping and took my order while prepping. The actual chef was rude and had far less customer service the prep Chef explained menu items and was passionate about the food and plating. The Unagi Bento was fabulous. Grandma Loves you I took the 4 seasons home for dinner and it is by far top ten sandwiches I have ever had in Toronto. The Crazy chicken was fabulous, the person working was also so passionate about the food and its presentation. The best chicken tenders. The Indian food had a delicious Mango lassie made authentically and had no sugar. So wonderful. The problem child however The Oswald Pizza, the woman put a sign up 15 min and was sitting next to the oven. We waited over 60 min and it was obvious, and she didn t care. Several times we smiled walked up to the counter and no movement. She stayed on the phone and no pizza could be ordered. We had wanted to bring a couple back to a Halloween Party. Instead we will order somewhere else. Don t waste your time on the pizza but the rest is a 10/10. Beautifully taken care of facility, lots of places to sit and clean. Vegetarian options: So many things Dietary restrictions: Nuts Wheelchair accessibility: The elevator is handy and the staff helpful
Good selection of vendors. I was in a hotel nearby and this was my source for lunch and dinner. Food was always good, but a bit pricey. I ate at four of the places and all were good. A unique place to eat.
Come here for issuing ramen but it was replaced by a different ramen join. Was hesitate at first but turn out the quality is pretty good.
Nice atmosphere and a cozy vibe, the food selection is also amazing. A bit pricy though.
I love coming here. The vibe is great, the food choices are stellar, and the WiFi is perfect. Its a great place for a meeting and for having some downtime to get some work done.
Pricey but very delicious food here
Very nice upscale food court just south of the Sheraton Hotel, connected to the downtown underground path.
Their food is the best
Just had pasta here and it was amazing. The service was great .the guy came with me to drop my food till patio as i had some drinks in my hand. Such great service.
Chefs Hall is an awesome spot in Toronto! I held an event here during a conference (venue buyout) and the attendees raved about how fun this place was. Light bites from all the best places in Toronto, a great layout with tons of places to sit and chat, and a great overall atmosphere. 10/10 recommend Chefs Hall as an individual looking for some to eat or for an event. The staff is also great! I worked with Sarah the manager and she answered all my questions quickly and helped make this event an success!
Its a fiod court that sells beer.
Lots of good food options, book-ended by bars. The staff are great, and its very consistent.
We used Chefs Hall for a corporate event in October, 2024. We rented a private area which they roped off for us and provided Trivia through a third party vendor as well as two private bars for our use. The food and service were wonderful! Our event had about 80 attendees and everyone had a great time. Fun and comfortable atmosphere with great food and great staff!
Cool spot but food options seem pricey. Good value of drinks.
I gave 3 stars for the food - but it was just my preference on what I ordered. It had good ingredients (I had a fish burrito) but it was just the texture of the fish with the rice and beans that it was just ok. The fish didn t have much flavor. I am sure the carnitas or chicken would have been bomb. The atmosphere is great. The options are great.
A great dining experience in the middle of downtown Toronto. Several options at reasonable prices. Indian Greek Japanese Italian and more.
Black Garlic Ramen is delicious.
Great place to eat and socialising would be easier if the music was not on the same level as a nightclub .
Nice place, great food, millennial service (i.e. no service). Prices are on the expensive side, good quality though.
Food is good, but the crowds and lines can get pretty long on some days and the food is pricey
This place is difficult to describe. A layout of small restaurants with excellent and varied menus, packed into one hall with a full service bar and plenty of seating (unless its its lunchtime on a weekday - then its super busy). The layout has a very cozy vibe, and I would go back any day.
Found a dead rodent by the accessible washroom door entrance, alerted staff and they didnt seem to be phased just apologized and said they would clean it up. The staff member I spoke to also made an excuse that that the rodent was near the washrooms because they have a pop room nearby. Felt so sick to my stomach after this experience and unsurprisingly the food made me sick too.
Brilliant place for food and drinks, we used it as a workspace and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend.
The environment is quite suitable for gatherings, though it was a bit noisy. There s a decent selection of food. Overall, it s not a bad choice for group events.
Great atmosphere. Not loud. I could talk to my wife at a normal volume. This was our first really satisfying meal after 3 days in Toronto. Our food was cooked just the way we wanted and was described and our waiter was attentive, but we never felt rushed. This should be your standard to compare to other resturants in the area.
I love the chefs hall and I keep coming back every chance I get. the food has always been nothing short of amazing and the atmosphere is always on point
Meh. Stopped by Saturday early evening for a quick bite. It was quiet, massive tvs showing baseball. Grabbed food from the pasta place near the front, the food was bad. The arancini and salad was okay - the sauce for the arancini was awful. The spicy sausage pasta was horrible - the pasta wasnt al dente, but it wasnt overcooked either it was in some weird state... but the sauce was horrendous, it honestly tasted like tomato paste with no seasoning, no salt, and the spice was not there either. Maybe its a better place to grab lunch at during the work week, but overall really underwhelming.
Verry good food and relax vibe! Kinda came here by accident when walking downtown, but was the right thing we were looking for! Thank you
Food is not worth the hype
Love this venue! Showcases Toronto s love for fusion cuisine! Definitely check it out if you re a foodie. Great place for afterwork drinks or lunch
It s a really good place to spend a beautiful afternoon or evening. But the problem with this place is the music. It s really bad. And I ate in a place call Grateful chicken I order fish and chips, it was really insipid, flat, bland, vile and gross. The service was really strange. There were two people from India. I really like Chefs Hall, but I don t suggest you to it in this restaurant
Their playlist is only hispanic music, i mean, i understand that it could be nice but this is Canada, and that kind of music is not proper from this country
Amazing exp at red eye dinner . Look was lovely and amazing ambience. Love the service friends and kind.
chef hall has become my go to place , 2 time in one week. Amazing food , visited Scosa today , an Italian restro. Mouth watering pasta , no doubt . One should try their chicken pasta, chef has done magic
Great atmosphere, many options to choose from, I chose Tecolote and everything was delicious and excellent service. Highly recommended. Be careful with the burrito that is spicy
Super nice staff
The only downside is actually a plus, busy. This means its great. Had Oswalds Pizzas, amazing!!
We had a fun experience here. Our group tried the italian, japanese and indian places, all dishes were high quality and good. Theres something for everyone!
I had Ginger miso ramen for lunch. It was delicious. I d like to come back to this fancier food court again and try sushi next time.
Nice spot for hanging out . Has indoor and outdoor seatings . However, I was disappointed with the Briyani dish. Had the lamb with rice . The Lamb was pureed meat. Probably with loads of fillers. They shaped it like pieces of meats. Did not enjoy at all. Most disappointing. Would not recommend .
Came one hour before closing, some counters were closed with no employees, the one we chose had food and an employee but was closed. Our second choice was sold out and had no food. This is ridiculous, we left and ate elsewhere
Hidden gem in Toronto, great mixture of foods, even on a Saturday was not too busy
Awesome food hall, definitely check out Grandma Loves You! Best sandwich Ive ever had! Awesome bar selection also with a variety of daily specials
Nice spot with many vendors offering a good variety of food. Ive ordered from a few different vendors at this point and not been disappointed. Good place to go if you have a group of people who cant agree on what to eat and theres plenty of options for everyone.
I have never come here before, but it is definitely a really cool atmosphere with a ton of food choices. We would not hesitate to go to the Chef s Hall, and try other restaurants, or perhaps the bar. I love the atmosphere, as it was open, and I could see how parties would really enjoy being in this space. A big shout out to the amazing manager, Neesha. Honestly, living in a big city like Toronto, I am so amazed at the exemplary service and care that she has for providing the absolute best service possible. I definitely could not imagine a better manager for a cool place like this. Her kindness, and attention to making sure everybody is happy is absolutely outstanding. She is a true gem and should be treasured by this wonderful establishment.
The place upstairs looks like a cheap food hall in a third world country. Overpriced. The place was nearly empty even on the weekend and still the person on the Greek counter took our simple order all wrong. The food was dripping in oil. Do the chefs on whose name the place runs not supervise their staff? Do they see what s being churned out in their name ? Shameful to fool people like this.
Awesome food hall in downtown Toronto. Nice selection and lots of seating
Went for lunch on a weekday and had poke. Ok price for a poke bowl and staffs were nice. Food was ok. Its a food court and wasnt really crowded with lots of seating.
I had a fantastic dining experience at Chefs Hall, thanks to your exceptional service. Supervisor Murali s attentiveness and professionalism truly made our visit memorable. Thank you for going above and beyond!
Had pizza from Oswalds pizza. Had the peperoni and mushroom truffle. Its expensive but great pizza.
We enjoy coming to chefs hall for a variety of food options and the nice ambiance!
Overpriced food
Love the vibe and atmosphere here Kind of like a hybrid between a restaurant and a food court But tons of higher end food vendors with good reviews Pro tip Search every restaurant in assembly hall to see which ones have good reviews. Avoid the ones that have less than 4 stars
Tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago. There really is something for everyone, its a great spot if everyone in your group wants something different. I got the crispy brussels sprouts from Red Eye and they were amazing, garlicky and sweet, they were so good. And I got tacos from Tecolote, they were good, not the best tacos Ive ever had, not as flavorful as I would have liked, but good. My friend got a sandwich, and it must have been the thickest sandwich Ive ever seen, there was so much meat on it she could only eat half! The atmosphere is cool, its like a cafeteria but a bit more hip. Lots of long picnic table style seating. But definitely not wheelchair accessible.
The Burger and fries looked good, but taisted like the sault shaker had been emptied into all the food and was surprized the vendors will not accept cash. I have never gone to a restrant that wont accept legal tender.
Nice. Good ambience
Excellent sandwich.
This entire place is atrocious. No staff to serve you at 3 of the places I tried. Settled for a fried chicken sandwich which came to $25 dollars in a value meal and its half mayonnaise. Gross . Wont be back.
Nice place, nice atmosphere, but the value for food has declined since Covid. Price to portion has increased across many of the stalls.
Food is lousy. There are no services but they still ask you for tip? Loud music and people, can t hear anything. You have to get water yourself but there are only 2 jugs of water. Benches are comfortable though. Had fun with a good man there so it s still lit
Great selection of vendors to choose from with lots of seating space. There is also a QR code on each table that lists all the available restaurants located inside Chefs Hall to make ordering fast and easy. Will be visiting again.
Chefs Hall is an absolutely fantastic place to go, whether on a date, on business, with friends, or just a casual lunch spot. I love it here. The selection is just the right size and not overwhelming, and you get the vibe of a tokyo-brooklyn food market inside, low ceilings, hip - it is so much better than the WELL (which feels like a mall food court). Favourites are the chicken at the Grateful Chicken, the lamb baos at Charcoal Biryani, the big Mac pizza at Oswalds, and the sushi. Its all just so good.
Each place will be a wildly different experience, but the overall concept is excellent. The Greek place...less so. But one day I am sure that Greek place will find a chef who is either Greek, has been to Greece, has had Greek food, or is self aware enough to point out that what they offer should not be under the heading of any Mediterranean/Greek/Turkish flavor.
Variety of selection
Lots of choices, great atmosphere and prices are reasonable. My wife and both got Poke Bowls from Pokito, both bowls were amazing.
Great all around service, good prices. Iwani sushi has very good dynamite rolls. Grateful chicken has really yummy chicken and cherry coke. Last but not least Oswalds pizza had a yummy trash cookie.
Many mini food vendors
Went for lunch with my daughter. Great options had a Spanish dish. Clean that right up. Dessert time. Order the Pistachio cookies, Bloody fantastic. Great little vibe. Will definitely be back.
Great pub bar atmosphere in the Financial District. Friendly staff. Great for group settings
Such a fun, awesome and eclectic spot with good vibes and food options. Something for everyone.
Had a jerk chicken pineapple pizza that was from Oswalds
A+ experience! We hosted a work event at Chefs Hall and everyone from our servers to the Event Manager, Bailey, took great care of us and were super attentive. Great food and service. Highly recommended!
If you dined here you probably wouldn t care about the price, but to me the food quality should match the price tag. I m not paying 20% extra just because they built a quick service food hall on Richmond and University.
The pesto gnocchi from Osteria Scossa was really underwhelming. It was under seasoned and lacking taste. The pesto from Costco might be better.
Tons of options, nice environment.
Great food hall! There s no table service but the vibe is great and food is sooo good. Food : 5/5
Had amazing food at the Tempura place. The chicken tendon was great and there were tempura green beans, yam, lotus root, zucchini, etc. Lots of food!
Best pasta in Toronto, and awesome atmosphere
Fisrt time eating at Chef Hall. It was busy a lunch time but still able to get a table and have a conversation without raising our voices much. The burrito B-owl at Tecolote was Yummy, a colorful and tasty bowl a bit hot but bereable.
It was amazing place back before pandemic. Now they took away everything that made it different from any other food court and filled it with junk fastfood. I cant believe Chef allowed this to happen.
I saw the sign for this upscale, eclectic, funky food court while I m staying at the Downtown Sheraton. Now I m well past 70 and the young people operating the food kiosks are all a pleasure to speak with. I chose lunch at the Poke place and I was thoroughly impressed by their helpful service and delicious offerings. My only problem with this whole culinary extravaganza is that it s not adequately advertised and promoted. Oh, and one other problem, I may have to stay here another few days to sample a few other vendors fare.
Ive been here many times and the experience is always different. Tachi is gone as is the ramen and thai place. There are still plenty of options but the food was just okay (tried the mexican place and the poke bowl place) . Probably had more to do with a slow Wednesday night than anything else. Tunes were good.
Great vibes and amazing food!
I work by here and frequent the Chefs Hall since it opened. I literally worked above it while they were building it. It wouldve been nice to offer SOMETHING to those who had to work with the sounds of construction below us. But whatever. Its a business. So things are EXPENSIVE. The food is great and thats the only reason its not a one star review. Pretty much every food vendor who has gone through there has been awesome. But whether its the terrible beer selection, astronomical prices, or extreme difficulty with trying to plan workplace events there, theres been too much frustration with the management of the venue to overcome the quality of the food. For example, once we tried to book an event, they told us: just show up because they dont book events. We did that, but then were kicked out because an event had been booked there.
I love this place so much! I ordered the arinchini and cacio e Pepe from scossa and at first was a bit hesitant due to the price but it was well worth it. Delicious over all. I also got onigiri from the Hawaiian poki place, absolutely loved it, super fresh and the worker was very kind. Lastly I got bubble tea from paloong and even though it s a chain it was great, the worker there was super kind. Loved this place throughly and can t wait to come back!
Chef s been stepping up their game. The colour blind magician that performed at our table on friday was AWESOME. Would come back on another friday just for him.
Magician went crazy
The magician was awesome! I highly recommend this place.
Had a lovely experience here at the Chefs hall tonight! It was really nice to be able to pick out the food from various types of cuisines. The cherry on top was that a Magician stopped by at our table!! Will definitely come by again for the food & entertainment :D
Tecolote Tacos are great!!!
Ordered tacos from Tecolote, taste was amazing with great and friendly staff
Had diner with friends here yesterday. Very good environment and food. The magic show was truly amazing, still trying to figure out how the card trick was done
Had an excellent time with friends, and was especially grateful for the attentiveness paid by the halls supervisor, David. David did an exceptional job (both in person, and prior to arrival on the phone) making sure our group was taken care of and that our needs were accounted for. I also want to highlight how accessible this location was; one of our friends is a power wheelchair user, and the space was a breeze to navigate.
Amazing selection and great quality across all stalls.
We held a private corporate event here in March 2024, the team was incredible and made planning very easy (we were planning this from out of town so the back and forth being made easy was huge for us). The atmosphere, food, staff, and event logistics all went super smooth thanks to the Chefs Hall team. Highly recommend! Well likely be back!
Great Mexican food at Tecolote Mexican Cuisine The best in Toronto!
Great place to check out, a VERY fancy food court of sorts. Kids can all pick something interesting to try out. Everything we had was good.
Don t go to the burger place! Everywhere else is tasty though
Packed, loud, stressful environment. Nowhere near enough seating space. Very slow service. Expect a 20 minute wait to order and a further 20 for your food. Things run out very fast at dinner time so many options not available.
Second visit was better.
Very cool spot. They have so many places to order food from and a great bar. The comedy nights are a lot of fun!
I feel like my burger was rotten. The meat was fresh but none of the condiments were, they all smelled weird wish I went somewhere else
Oswalds Pizza was fantastic. Never thought I enjoy pear on a pizza but it was delicious.
I took my mother to Chefs hall for lunch, she grabbed a smash burger from Red Eye Diner while I opted for a chicken souvlaki plate from Aphrodites Taverna. The folks who greeted us at the counter were kind and helpful as we decided on what to eat. The food was great! My mom loved her burger and all of the component of my Greek plate were flavourful and delicious. We agreed that we would absolutely go back for these meals next time we are in the area!
I absolutely love Chefs Hall. They always have something interesting going on from trivia to movie night. The food, drinks and atmosphere are top-notch! 10/10
The food tends to be on the drier end because of the nature of the cafeteria style market and the kitchen equipment used. But lots of variety with everything around $15-25. The drinks at the bar are around ~$15 (some feel more diluted than others). Nonetheless love the vibes, range of foods, movies on Saturdays (for the month of Feb), very awesome social atmosphere. The staff is super sweet at all the vendors, just make sure to clarify what your meal entails before finalizing. Vegetarian options: Most of the vendors had some veg option Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space between the tables but getting to the upper floor for the food market requires more assistance
Decided to dine here after spending a day enjoying downtown Toronto. They are opened to 10pm and we arrived her close to 8:30pm. Entrance is easily accessible via Richmond Street. The Chef s hall is a collection of food stalls that provide quick service delicious meals and friendliness in their service. You can see there is a sense of pride of love for their food from each of the vendors and the selection of food can range from Detroit style pizza slices fresh made pasta poke bowls,Ramen tempura, diner style food like burgers and fries etc. On this occasion we decided to enjoy the restaurant Charcoal Biryani. We Ordered: Chili chicken biryani Lamb Kebab Tandoori chicken Samosas Total $68.00 and food was fresh and super delicious! Atmosphere: Where we chose to sit was near the bar and entrance window facing Richmond as we were watching the game on the huge screens. However there are several tables within the vendor area and opposite end of the hall which included comfortable sofa chairs, barstools and a quieter atmosphere than we were in. Definitely can see this place busy during the day. This is a place where I would enjoy dining again if visited downtown Toronto as I wanted to try the popular tempura Ramen restaurant as well as the Detroit pizza vendor and the one who had deep fried Mars bars! Simple food done right and friendly service always earns a place in my must return list!!
Arieze the magician was very cool, cool tricks and cool guy
Had a great night out with some friends and got my mind blasted by the amazing magician!
food was ok, i enjoyed it. The magician was fun too
Very interesting concept in the Google building in downtown Toronto. I tried the pizza Oswald One of the best Detroit style pizzas around very busy during the lunch time. Good thing is is I accessed it through the path system
Came back for good food and a chill atmosphere - this Friday Arieze the magician came to our table and it was crazy! Free magic show, amazing. There was some standup going on in another area of the Chefs Hall while we were there too, sounded like a fun time. Will be coming again!
Great atmosphere and food. The pasta is good. There was a magician there peforming at each table (no extra cost), which was actually really impressive. Good vibes over all, I recommend this place. Food
food is decent, beef curry udon, fried chicken, biryani. the magic show is amazing! Really engaging and creative. would like to visit again to enjoy the phenomenon and the show!

The vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and endless array of delicious dishes make Chefs Hall a must-visit destination for any food lover in Toronto. Went with a corporate setting - Jamar was the most warm friendly professional and accommodating bar tender made sure everyone in the group had a drink and was proactive to ensure everyone was serviced in the group! Team will be coming back for that kind of good hospitality.
The deep dish pizza slices were immaculate! I would certainly go for round two. Chefs hall was like an elevated experience to a regular food court. All the food bars are worth the try.
David was our server and went above and beyond, going out of his way to make us extra spicy margaritas!! Can t wait to go back with coworkers
The food was amazing , I recommend going here if you got a high budget as it is really pricey . They recently added a Magician who comes every friday to entertain the guest . It doesn t seem real at all .
A unique food scene for lunch if you are looking for something quick and different
