This is definitely a beautiful fine dining breakfast spot. The staff are kept on their TOES, as we watched many guests be rude or demanding at tables around us during a busy weekend breakfast rush. Props to the incredible staff here who handle those people with grace. The food was excellent & our coffees were always full!

Upon arrival, hosts were judgy and dismissive. We were seated and greeted by a nice but inattentive and forgetful Waiter. He was very attentive to the table across from us however. We were offered bread but did not have it brought to us. We had to ask the food runner (who was great) for the bread after the main course was already served to us. Appetizers were Oysters which were good. For mains, we ordered Duck Confit Risotto and the Scallop dish. The risotto was below average and too heavy. The scallops were good and cooked well but the overall dish was not great. We also ordered the Ratatouille as a side which was also disappointing. Overall, we spend $130+ for a terrible lunch amd an even worse experience that I would not recommend for anyone. YMMV though.

We were here for our anniversary and had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The flavour combination for the octopus carpaccio was delightful and I loved the sweetness of foie gras with the brioche. Our servers were all very attentive and we got some extra dessert for our anniversary. The chef even came out to greet us in the end. We had an amazing evening and everyone made us feel so special on our anniversary. Would 100% visit again.

I stayed at Four Seasons for a couple days and reserved a table at this restaurant. It was my first real French cuisine experience. We got the tasting menu which included 5 courses. We pretty much got everything that was available on the tasting menu. Now as for the taste, everything was beyond my expectations. The foie gras was something I never had before and it really amazed me. The server was super nice and friendly. He also made us feel comfortable and cracked some good jokes. The atmosphere of the place was really nice. It felt like a really classy restaurant. Overall, it was a beautiful experience and I would recommend friends to give this a try. They even gave us an extra dessert on the house! I would give my experience a 9/10. Please note, French cuisine is known to deliver the food slower compared to other cuisines so keep that in mind.

Had an amazing brunch with friends. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The prices are fair for the upscale nature of the restaurant, and the mimosas were delicious. The service was good and we were treated nicely. The eggs and steak was amazing. I tried a little bit of everything and it all tasted really good.

Came back in February for valentine's day 🙊 Charcuterie Board (off menu)💕 Foie Gras👌 Tartare de Boeuf💕 French Onion Soup💕 Canard Rotisserie (for 2)💕 Brussel Sprouts💕 Truffle Fries 💕 Dessert Board 💕 We came at a referral of a friend and got such a royal treatment 💕 We were able to try a few items off the regular menu, like the premium charcuterie board as well as a dessert board. The Foie Gras pate was exquisite, especially with the pops of fruit, jelly, and macadamia nuts. The beef tartare was one of the best I've ever had, same with the deep flavour of the French Onion Soup! The duck rotisserie came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. The breast was extremely moist and tender - paired with peach which we never tried before and surprisingly goes so well together! The 72 hour confit legs were fall off the bone and juicy. All of the desserts were decadent, but my favorites were the warm madelines and the chocolate dome with Profiteroles inside.

I went to cafe Boulud for breakfast with a friend on a Saturday morning. I ordered a latte and cheese omelette and I can only say the food quality was below average. I ve had much better omelettes at other cafes for much less. The service was above average as expected but the furniture was worn out. Honestly, avoid this place as you will not be getting value. This is all hype.

What a disgusting place. Checked in with the hostess and ask for a charger. She said she will get one and never did. The mediocre food arrived after an hour while the server came many times promising the food is almost ready. A gum was stuck to my pants from under the table. They replaced the table only to bring it back 15 minutes later with the exact same gum still stuck. No music. No ambiance and zero atmosphere. Would expect much more from a cafe at The Four Seasons. Disgusting!

When I informed her that we weren t, she refused to seat us for service because according to her, they were unable to accommodate anyone who wasn t staying at the hotel. After staring at her incredulously for about 30 seconds, we turned and walked away. We definitely felt racially profiled.

Where are these high reviews coming from? For the price I can get a better tasting meal elsewhere. We are LGBTQ Americans on our first trip to Canada, and Café Boulud was a great dining experience for us! Deon was our server, and he was personable, attentive-but-not-pushy, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the homard for an appetizer, and the wagyu beef burger and flat iron steak for our main courses. All were great. Sebastian was our bartender, and we had some of the best cocktails (Limincello Spritz, Spicy Oaxacan Mule, and Sazeroc Espresso) we ve ever had. Great experience!

Why cant food be this good everywhere?? First, Table service is impeccable, extremely efficient without being rigid, and superior to any place Ive recently been to; The atmosphere: relaxed, yet focused on what you need in order to enjoy yourself; The food: Opulence? Richness? Distinction? Yes! All of that! NO other place on earth has such a delicious perfectly prepared steak tartare, (including Paris, famous for it, right? tried many places over several years): None come close to Bouluds steak tartare. The sirloin was perfectly cooked, so was the Coquille St-Jacques (scallops cooked to absolute perfection). PEI oysters as an amuse-gueule were perfect, fresh, flavorful, with the best cocktail sauce (the mignonette is slightly weak on vinegar). Dessert list is interesting and the wine list offers just enough choice to suit any taste. Highly recommended!

If I could give Cafe Boulud 100 stars, I would. I came with my mom who has poor health but loves food and a great restaurant. The service was OUTSTANDING. From the hostess, to the servers, every single person went above and beyond to be accommodating. You will feel so pampered after a meal here. The food was fantastic, flavourful, and well thought out. We had a funny moment which also shows how much the chef care - my mom ordered the tartare which came with lettuce. She really liked the lettuces contrast to the tartare, so she asked for one single lettuce more. When the server brought it out, I laughed because the lettuce was artfully displayed on a plate with capers perfectly lined up on it. When we pointed it out to the server, he shared that just as he was about to bring out the lettuce, the chef stopped him and using tweezers delicately placed the capers on top. Hysterical, but also they really care about each detail. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful experience.

We celebrated my sons birthday today at Café Boulud in Toronto. We had the Three-Course Express Lunch (Tartare de b uf, Canard confit, Profiterole), with the amazing Burgogne Maison Roche de Bellene - Pinot Noir Vieille Vigne 2017. Absolutely recommend the tartare, the duck would work better with a salad (we took home the beans) and the Profiterole was highly decadent, with a much needed coffee. Overall, a beautiful experience, and we are planning to go to a 5-course tasting event.

I had an awful experience at Cafe Boulud. On January 14th, my friend and I had brunch at Cafe Boulud and we met the server who worn the black eyeglasses. He was unfriendly and unprofessional from the beginning to the end. I can assume he is racist because he was helpful and friendly to others, except us. At first, we were confused about the menus and asked my server, but he barely answered my questions and left. We tried to call him throughout this whole period, and he ignored us. I was glad one server helped us in the meantime. I thought he wouldn t come to the table anymore, so I just wanted to finish experiencing that bad service and asked for the bills. After a while, he showed up with the bills. A few days later, Jonathan Chan contacted me with a few messages about the solution. From the messages, he invited me back and honoured a complimentary course to me as the restaurant manager. I could feel he was so polite and professional in handling this bad situation. He confirmed the reservation by email for me. That s why I came back yesterday. I drove from the north to downtown and was late by 5mins. I called the restaurant and spoke with the host whose name starts with K. He told me there was no reservation under my name and Jonathan was no longer with the restaurant, and he couldnt help with it. I was wondering why the restaurant did not let me know before I came in. I tried to talk to the manager, but somehow the host said he didnt know who the current manager is. I was so disappointed and pissed off with the way they ve treated me. I spent my time to drive to downtown and got that fantastic service. I need a formal and sincere apology from the restaurant. Updated, manager Yann called me and apologized for all of that and welcomed me back as well. I appreciated he was professional, nice and polite on the phone. But I just do not have any confidence to come back. Hopefully, the customer service will be improved and you guys wont experience what I ve suffered. Overall, weekend brunch set is not meet my standard and over-priced as Michelin guide restaurant. In general, the main course and appetizer are a bit salty to me. The oyster is plain and not flavourful. The only thing I like is Madeleine, and please enjoy it warm.

You go out to a restaurant, not of your choosing and order something you feel they cant mess up. Steak. You ask for it to be butterflied and well done. The steak comes not butterfiled, bright red inside and bleeding onto the rest of your food. You dont send it back because you dont want to make a scene in front of others. You also dont eat it because it makes you nauseous to even look at it. I dont understand the arrrogance of the chef in the kitchen to refuse to cook something as specified. If they are just going to ignore how someone decides how they want their food prepared, why ask in the first place? I also dont understand what gives them the right to choose how someone eats their food? Are they not in the service industry? Chefs are obnoxious and think their way is the only way. I will never go back there again. Also, the Somalier was arrogant and argumentative. Not my idea of a relaxing dining out experience at all. As for the atmosphere, there was a couple, older guy & really young lady behind us in the upper level full on making out against the glass wall, constantly banging into the glass wall so hard making it rattle and shake so much we were afraid it was going to shatter. Nobody asked them to stop.

This is not our first time going to Cafe Boulud, but this time it gives us the most surprise. We were running 35 mins late from the original reservation, and it is getting close to closed time before we arrived. We called and asked if we can pre-ordered the duck for 2, and they worked out for us. Service is definitely unbeatable. Duck for 2 is always good and never disappointed us. We ordered the chocolate souffle for dessert, yet the waiter told us that the kitchen dropped the last souffle on the floor, and need us to order another dessert. We were slightly disappointed but not a big deal. The surprise comes when the dessert we ordered came out with another dessert on top. Also the waiter said the kitchen will make the souffle again from the beginning and asked us to be patient for 20 mins. The bill came up and surprised came, two complimentary desserts!! Wow. Not talking about the food, the service is top notch and this alone made us really want to come back again.

A great place to go for a special occasion. Service was outstanding and the ambience was wonderful. From the dishes we ordered, we loved the salads, the desserts, the steak and the cod. The caramel ice cream and profiteroles was remarkable, and the whiskey ice cream was delicious. They obviously have a very talented pastry chef! Our least favorite dishes included the pasta with the lamb ragu - which had too much tomato paste in the sauce, the octopus which was overcooked and rubbery, and the foie gras which tasted like butter with a hint of liver. Although there were few moderately priced wines on the menu, the sommelier was excellent at recommending decent, moderately priced options.

Love Cafe Boloud! My partner and I have been coming here for birthdays and anniversaries. However, this time, I was a little disappointed. We came here for the Danielicious lunch. The food didnt disappoint as usual. But there was a fly flying around our table. The waiter unsuccessfully got rid of it. Eventually, the fly disappeared but it was annoying when it was hovering around us. Second, I felt a little rushed. I kept noticing the waiter was anxious for us to finish eating. Always asking if he could take away the dishes. I still had some food on the plate and I told him I was still working on it. I have never experienced this before. Was he in a rush to go home? On a positive note, he asked us if we were celebrating something. I said yes, its our 29th anniversary. He brought some madeleines on a plate saying Happy Anniversary. Also, he kept the table clean by wiping it after the appetizer, the main course and dessert, just like other fine dining restaurants weve been to. If it were not for the fly and feeling rushed, I would have given a 5 star. I hope when we go back, there will be no fly hovering around us and an overly anxious waiter. Annette

TLDR: there were highs and lows but overall, expected more given the reputation of the chef & restaurant. Okay strap in, it s gonna be a long and detailed review. If I could give partial stars, I would give this experience a 3.8 stars because it definitely wasn t a 4 but better than a 3. We had the Danielicious 3 course menu for $80 pp which honestly, compared to the usual menu, is a great deal. Appetizers: The server brought us fresh bread and a quennelle of perfectly softened butter. Great start but unfortunately the good times didn t quite continue. We got the special, the French onion soup which was the first flop :( it was way too over reduced, could only taste the acidic sherry vinegar and salt but no beef broth or onion flavour at all! For $21, it was very disappointing and we only finished half (between 2 people). Moving on, we got the escargot and chicken liver mousse as a part of the first course and both came with bread. The escargot was cooked well with nice fresh herbs throughout but lacked salt and the accompanying sourdough bread seemed like a mismatch as the slices were just too thick and overpowered the flavour of the dish. The liver mousse was great and came with crostini, though given the amount of mousse, it would have been nice to have more crostini. We ended up having it with the rest of the table bread . I feel like it should either come with more crostini or less mousse. Main course: We got the chicken supreme and braised lamb shanks. Starting with the lamb shank, it was SO well cooked, pomme purée was so smooth, vegetables cooked perfectly, lamb was falling apart tender but it was just a bit too gamey for me (though my partner enjoyed it more than me so we switched entrees lol). The chicken supreme was so so delicious but I unfortunately found a foreign object in the sauce as well as some grit likely from the mushrooms and its packaging. The staff were super nice and made me a new serving to go. Honestly this wasn t a huge deal because the chicken was so tender and the sauce was luscious. The potato pavé was textbook, probably fried in clarified butter because it was divine. Also both were huge portions. Dessert: Definitely the best course of the meal. We got the classic crème brûlée which had the perfect texture and was paired with a delicious madeleine. Not too sweet and a perfect dessert to get if you are overwhelmed with choice - you just can t go wrong with a crème brûlée. And then we also got the pistachio mousse which was so so creamy, smooth and very pistachio-y. Because of the main course mishap, they also comp d us a basket of mini madeleines that were hot and fresh, dusted with a bit of icing sugar. So delicious. Overall: I don t know if I d go back to be completely honest because for a $200 meal plus additional tip, I just expect a bit more consistency and refined execution. Maybe I m too picky but I don t regret going and recommend trying if you ve never been. Hopefully by that time, they ll adjust their French onion soup seasoning because I really wanted to love it!

Its a beautiful space but it was fairly quiet for a Friday night at 8pm. I got the impression that our server felt similarly as he did not seem to be having much fun. Nothing bad in this regard, but nothing exceptional either. Anyway, I come to an establishment such as this to eat. The whole duck was exceptional, done two ways: roast breast with plums, turnips, and spinach, side of jus: and crispy thighs over a mixed green salad. Also had the beef tartar and the leek soup with muscles and lardon. Everything was fantastic, and at a not-so-obscene price given the quantity and quality. Cocktails were fine, and I dont know much about wine but the recommended syrah went nicely with the duck. In the words of the Terninator: Ill be back.

The Duck is so tasty. Others are all fine except the roasted chicken. I read quite a few good reviews on the roasted chicken so I ordered it. It is so normal. Just like the 7.99 Costco chicken. Will come back for the duck again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. I love the food, the service and the ambiance. Whenever I feel for modern French cuisine, Cafe Boulud is my top choice, especially if I want to spur a little. The price is actually quite reasonable for its quality and service. Their brunch and their dinner menus are both excellent. Today we ordered two appetizers, grilled octopus and the scallops, to share. And we also ordered the Homard (poached lobster on a custard like fish cake with jasmine rice) and the veal as our mains. I really love the scallops, very light and refreshing. The Homard is also very good. Quite heavy actually but goes extremely well with the rice. The highlight was the dessert of the month - pomme. This is a restaurant I highly recommend for a romantic dinner or place for celebrations.

For some reason, each time when I visited the restaurant, the staffs have been polite, yet, they were not on the same page. Often, they had to confirm with me something twice, confused looking, etc. Otherwise, foods were great for the price and never have disappointed me with the cake.

As this restaurant is located in the Four Seasons, we had to rank with higher expectations for our lunch experience - the food was decent. We had the beef tartar as a starter and it was nice and tasty, the wagyu burger was overly salty and flavoured, while the duck confit was average. The freshly baked Madeleine was delicious - however the service was to our surprise very disappointing. Starting at the coffee, we made it clear that the coffee was black twice and they still brought over milk. And the waiter seemed utterly unimpressed when we decided to not order wine (we did notice surrounding tables did). Not that we couldn t order wine, we simply did not feel like having any. - throughout the meal, he was (or they were) unattentive and were very slow with clearing our plates. Not ever was there a time he checked on us to see how we were doing. I actually had to wave someone down to clear our plates because it had been sitting there for more than 15 minutes. More insulting was that he was swift to make sure the other tables were clean and even took the time to sweep off the breadcrumbs of their tables. - as an etiquette, we also noticed he added another bottle of sparkling water without checking with us. I don t know if it was a way for him to bump up the bill to compensate for us not ordering a bottle of wine Overall, this had been disappointing because we were actually really looking forward to enjoy my birthday meal. Please do note, that the food is not bad at all and the atmosphere is on point.

Attended the prix fixe brunch on Saturday for my wifes birthday. I was impressed with the Steak Tartare, but even more so with the Croque Madame. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and quite filling! The two course menu is more than enough for anyone, but I was a little disappointed I couldnt try the dessert because I was too full (I dont like wasting food and I couldnt take any to go as we were attending another event afterward). Ill have to go back to try the dessert another day. Overall the food and the service are excellent; we were greeted with smiles when we entered, our coats were checked and we were seated within minutes. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant; brunch can attract a boisterous crowd sometimes which is to be expected. Its worth the visit and lives up to the Boulud name in terms of the quality of the food and service. My wife was served some warm Madeleines with a candle and happy birthday written in a chocolate sauce, which was heavenly with the Madeleines. Highly recommend the brunch prix fixe menu, will definitely be going back to try the dinner menu. Wheelchair accessibility: They have automated doors and an elevator to take you up to the restaurant.

**Edit 1 star to 3: After I reached out to Café Boulud, the general manager, Yen, called me back after a couple weeks and offered a generous credit for our bad experience. we appreciate it and this goes towards how they provide attention to customer satisfaction. Thank you! My husband and I decided go for a Valentines experience and it was so awful we laughed all through dinner. Firstly, the food was for a very acquired palette. In fact you can walk by the restaurant and smell the intense aroma of the food, which in my opinion was too pungent to get your appetite going. The food quantity was very unreasonable and we left hungry at midnight, while being a 7 course meal. I could feel and hear those around us complain about the same so I knew it wasn t just us about the food quantity. The bigger problem was the wait between each course. We sat at 9pm and left at 12am. Maybe it s just us, but we were unable to enjoy even some of the meals we found edible ie. beef Wellington, when the service was 30 mins between each course. Overall a funny experience but I would never go there again and can t understand how there could be any good reviews. Meanwhile for us every course disappointed our palette Service was fine, but considering the wait time, it took away from the nice staff. Overall 1/10

Went for Valentine s Day, $215 pre fix per person. Food was terrible, they served caviar with a metal spoon which is 100% wrong. Waited 30 minutes to be seated and then another 30 minutes before we got the first course. Cocktails were below average. Hostesses were nice but I had a card on file that the waiter refused to charge as he needed to see it in person to make sure it was actually mine . What s the point of registering a card on file through the hotel s secure portal if the waiter refuses to accept it? Overall, please don t come here.

Giving 5 stars for Cafe Boulud! We went here to celebrate my bf s birthday and we absolutely loved it. Ordered the beef tartare and lobster bagna cauda for appetizers and they did not disappoint. Especially the lobster bagna cauda, the sauce is something I will def remember For our main, we got the Rotisserie Duck and I would say it is totally worth it. Good portion for 2 people and the way it was cooked was perfect! It was super tasty. And for dessert we ordered the vanilla ice cream with chocolate profiteroles and I was scraping the chocolate off the plate when we finished because it was sooo good! Our server, Cremildo, was also very kind and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely come back to try other dishes!

I have been here a few times and the experience was always pretty nice overall. However, my most recent visit was super unpleasant. The waiter was very rude to us. His service was not excellent from the start but it was bearable. It was more problematic after we finish the meal. When we ask for the bill we did not pay immediately, which I believe does not matter as long as pay before we leave (the place was not closing or anything). After we eventually paid, the waiter came with a judgy look, as if we were trying to escape the payment, and collected the receipt from the machine. Seeing the printed receipt, obviously knowing that we did pay successfully, he looked at us up and down and said that he has to check if the payment went through. Of course it did. He then came back with a contemptuous smug look and said oh, it did go through . I have never had waiters like that. Even if they needed to check they never said such thing to my face, not to mention with such an attitude. It is fine if he actually needed to check, I would understand where he s coming from. However he was super disrespectful and we were really unhappy with this service and attitude - right after I tipped 18% for his mediocre service (only because it was the first tipping option on the machine). We felt so disrespected and not welcomed. It was truly unacceptable for a place that I had higher expectations in to provide such unprofessional services.

Where to begin. Last evening, I hosted my aunts eightieth birthday dinner in the private dining room at the incomparable Cafe Boulud at the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville. It was a surprise event that started at our favourite watering hole, d|Bar, on the main level then up to Cafe Boulud for an evening of glorious French cuisine, champagne and joie de vivre. The semi-private dining room at the far end of the restaurant was the perfect setting. We designed it in black and white with a shot of lemon yellow. The three-course meal (from a wonderfully curated menu set specifically for the event) was superb. Octopus, quail & foie gras, black cod, beef sirloin, most amazing frites were scrumptious. And the presentation! Perhaps, though, the most memorable aspect of the experience was the service. Maitre dhotel, Liezel, was a rock star. Liezel is quality service personified. She helped me plan the event and expertly oversaw the evenings proceedings. I cannot praise Liezel enough. Zack, the head waiter who looked after our every need in the most thoughtful way, was also a five-star service provider. Thank you, Liezel and Zack, for creating the most memorable occasion for my aunt and guests. Ive long been a fan of d|Bar and Cafe Boulud and cannot wait to plan another soiree in your fantastic establishment. Stephen Vegetarian options: The winter tart was a hit! Parking: Valet parking is the best choice. $25 for three hours. Service is exceptional!!

Nobody ever bothered to call me back to even just let me know they couldnt accommodate my reservation request. Thats really poor customer service. As a Michelin-style reviewer, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Boulud, located inside the Four Seasons hotel in Yorkville. From start to finish, the experience was beyond perfect and left me thoroughly impressed. The tasting menu was a true masterpiece, showcasing the culinary prowess of Chef Daniel Boulud. Each dish was carefully crafted with an impeccable attention to detail, utilizing the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The flavor combinations were complex and harmonious, with each dish building upon the last to create an unforgettable culinary journey. But what truly set Cafe Boulud apart was the exceptional service. The waitstaff were professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that every need was met. The chef even went out of his way to serve us two extra desserts free of charge, which were equally as delicious as the rest of the meal. The ambience of Cafe Boulud was also noteworthy. It was my wife s birthday. A friend of ours called the restaurant to order her a cake with a note from their family. We were a displeased with the food. The shrimp my wife ordered had a very bad bleach taste. We both ordered burgers cooked differently, and received each other s plate. They forgot to bring bread to the table. Based on that, we decided not to have a dessert so we paid and left. The lady at the reception asked how the experience was and whether we liked the cake. We told her that we had not had any cake and that I actually thought she might send something to the table as I had indicated on the reservation that it was my wife s birthday. She seemed very puzzled, so she asked for a moment to go speak to the manager. She advised us after that a friend of ours had called and asked to pay for a dessert, and for a note to be left, but that they had forgotten it. It s funny, because I indicate on this review below that I would not recommend this place to a friend. It was this very friend that asked for a cake to be delivered to the table that wanted to take his own wife there for their anniversary. I had to inform him that I would not advise it. So the manager asked us if we would be so kind as to wait so they could pack us some thing which we agreed to. He said he wanted to pack up some thing, special from the restaurant for the event, and as an apology. He ends up, bringing us a single piece of chocolate cake packed in a tiny takeout container. The piece was literally at least half of the size that you might expect to get at any decent restaurant . The service was atrocious. As much as the people were friendly, it did not seem like this restaurant had it together. A big disappointment to an establishments like The Four Seasons, where this restaurant is located in Toronto. And to the actual reason we went there, which was a big recommendation to Daniel Boulud s name in the book Unreasonable Hospitality disappointed.

Absolutely shocked and disappointed at the service last night! I have stayed world wide at many Four Seasons - and this was the first disturbing experience ever. Trying to make a special evening for my mothers Birthday the evening started well in the bar - with a cocktail and outstanding service- only to be completely let down during dinner. The waitress had a terrible attitude from the onset. We ordered a full meal all courses at the same time. There was over an hour wait between the appetizer and main course . when I called the waitress over to ask what the problem was She shook her head and shrugged her shoulders, and said not sure. I then asked to speak to the manager who came over who gave a weak apology, and said some thing about the kitchen, got a little busy. Yet people around us have received their meal came and left in the time we were waiting for a main course to come. I believe the part that made it worse was the lack of explanation and the weak and condescending apology from the manager and the waitress. Then, at one point, the waitress decides to turn and say that it was because we ordered late, and that one of the party went to the washroom, and then went on and on to blame us. Us leaving the table to go to the washroom does not explain why there was over an hour wait between appetizer and main course. Never have I sat in a restaurant only to be chastised by the staff as they tried to defended the undependable. A new waiter was sent over to us only to have the original waitress walk by several times, shaking her head as if we had did something wrong waiting to eat over two hours. Now we are more than well aware of the situation s happen in Restaurant, but it was the lack of respect and validation, for what it happened that threw us into a tailspin of disappointment and discussed with the entire establishment. Izzy Sharpe will be receiving a formal letter. I taped the entire scenario on my phone and will ensure it posted.

This is my first time here, and the service i received was the best I ve ever gotten in Canada. The manager of Cafe Boulud Sommelier John Torrens, is the best host ever!!! He gave my friends and I slippers as we were struggling with our heels, he provided top notch services and checked on us from time to time. I want to say a special thank you to him, and he definitely deserves a raise. I am bringing all my friends in because of him. The chef and servers were so good and detailed. They came in to tell us everything they cooked. I rate this restaurant 10/10!!!! Definitely coming back.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary and had a lovely time! The staff wished us a happy anniversary multiple times, offered to take our picture, and even treated us to madelines. The cocktails had depth and were quite delicious and the food was both beautiful flavorful. Our server was attentive and even made sure to notify us when something-a souffle-was taking longer than expected (though it was well worth the wait!). All in all, a great place to go for a special night.

After many years dining at Four Seasons Toronto I didn t think I would have anything to write about. It s a place I call home, everyone family. As with family there are always ups and downs, good times and not so good times, it s what family is all about. However, lately there has been a shift at the Four Seasons, Food and Beverage outlets Cafe Boulud,, Dbar and Banquet that I have had the pleasure to experience. The quality of food and service has risen way beyond the norm, but more than this, without being dramatic, the Four Seasons Toronto is hospitality not only in name but more importantly in motion. Having been in the hospitality business for many long years, I am beyond impressed. In this day and age when paying more and getting less is a given, this is indeed a breath of fresh air. Kudos to management and staff alike, an awesome team to be reckoned with. Congratulations!

Had a disappointing meal here. We came for our anniversary with the intention of having the tasting menu with the wine pairing. We couldn t order this as I m pescatarian and the chef wouldn t sub the pheasant course for me. This seemed odd since the tasting menu came as a recommendation from a vegan friend who was able to customize every course to make them all vegan, but we moved on. We ordered oysters, shrimp, endive salad, pappardelle, sea bass and fries. The lucky lime oysters and the fries were the best part, which is sad because you can easily get those anywhere and for less money. The fish was dry and overcooked. The pasta was good but a little under seasoned and something I could ve easily made for myself at home. The endive salad was really well balanced and we quite enjoyed it. We did also appreciate a complimentary glass of sparkling and dessert for our anniversary that came at the end. We didn t give any feedback while we were there because we didn t want to bring down the mood on our anniversary, but when you re spending $500+ on a meal, you have higher expectations than this. Can t say I would recommend or come back personally.

The only downside is that its a very loud environment, so not great for chatting. Food, food stylings, and service were all excellent Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible!

The quality of the food is that good and has been for years. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, but the service is excellent. And yes, the rotisserie chicken is that good.

Came for my wifes birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was exceptional. We shared the foie gras entree and it was great. Her Coquilles Saint-Jacques was delightful and my Duo de Veau was sensational. Chef was nice enough to offer us a souffle for dessert in a classy touch for the birthday girl. Our waiter was a proper old school gentleman whose service was impeccable. Got a little noisy towards the end as was a lot of music going on downstairs but it didnt overly detract from the evening . All in all a most lovely experience and would thoroughly recommend a visit.
