This is our go-to spot for Chinese takeout, and every time we order it is solid - fresh, flavourful, and an easy crowd pleaser. Never a long wait and our order has always been correct (which is not always a given these days!). Love having this restaurant in the neighbourhood, it always hits the mark when we re craving some comfort food.

We used to love this place but DEFINITELY not anymore. Has there been an ownership change?? Only thing we enjoyed was the white rice . . . Very disappointing

This is a really great spot for eclectic Chinese food. It is always delicious. The restaurant is a bit of a mess as it is being renovated and still serving customers takeout.

I ordered the Thai green curry chicken. When I opened it, I was disgusted. It looked like murky water and chicken. Unfortunately, it tasted like it to. I have never had such bad food. I have no idea how they have a 4.0 rating. I will not be ordering again.

Stay clear of this place. They demand a tip prior to a delivery then decide to deliver cold food. Absolutely horrible service. Many other options in Toronto that are fair.... This is to the reply; for the record, I have worked solely on tips that I received for my service. I ALWAYS tip, but when the food takes 45 minutes to an hour after expected and is cold, I will not be MADE to tip. Shame on you and your business practices.

Amazing food, great taste and good portions

This place has gone completely downhill. I have been watching it since I started eating here in 2008 and it has now reached the bottom of the hill. From changing the recipes to the point that you no longer recognize the dishes you once loved to substituting ingredients and decreasing portion sizes this place is a whimpering shadow of its former self. The food is bland and suspicious looking. Stay away.

Ordered from their site online. Took 2h to get it, called to inquire about the delivery and second time he said it was on the way, sorry and hung up. Food was warm, at best, but not fresh and hot. Very disappointing. No compensation for taking 2h to get the food.

We ordered from here for the first time and had a very disappointing experience. Although it was on the higher end price-wise, the food was adequate at best... This could be in part due to how long it took for our food to arrive. We had to wait 2 hours for our order! By the time we got it everything was cold and soggy and anything that should have been crispy was more chewy than anything. When we called to check in around the 70 minute mark we were assured that our food had left and was on the way, but the driver may have traffic issues. As we approached 2 hours since the order we called again. He put us on hold briefly and then told that the driver was a few minutes away, and again references traffic but by this point it was 9pm and we live 10 minutes away. The driver arrived in about 10 minutes.... A quick Google confirmed that there were no traffic issues anywhere around. Long story short, we will not be ordering from them again, and would not recommend them to anyone else either!

I tried for the first time today, and I wish I had read the reviews before I did. I ordered the schezwan beef with a side of streamed rice. The rice was dry and crunchy. The beef was overcooked and tough. I cant help but wonder if this was food cooked yesterday and served today. Wont be ordering from here again.

Ive been a customer for about 13 years. Food has always been very good. Good service too. But...now they closed their dining room. Delivery only. Post pandemic changes. Ill have to find a new favorite Chinese restaurant.

Ordered food from their website but the service is awful. Called multiple times to get a status update on our food delivery (over an hour and a half waiting) and was told our food was to be delivered within 10-15 minutes. It wasnt delivered and I called again from the same phone number. We have now waited for over 2 hours. The owner didnt pick up. I called from a different number and he picked up right away and said our food is again on the way. I tried to ask why its taking so long, he was incredibly rude and he hung up on me. We spent over $100 on the order and have ordered multiple times from here but they can rest assured they have lost our business. The service is awful. 10/10 do not recommend ordering from here based on their service.

I have been coming to and ordering from Westwood for 15 years, and it was one of my favourite places to eat. During the pandemic we have ordered several times. I was just treated so rudely on the phone after inquiring about a delivery that has been over two hours I will never be back. I understand staffing shortages- I work in a restaurant as well and its hard. We called after one hour to check on our order, and were told 15-20 minutes while they waited for a driver- acceptable. After another 40 min, I called to check again and relayed my frustrations. The person on the phone was not understanding, was very rude, and offered no apologies or assurances that we will even be receiving the food we paid for. Incredibly disappointed.

When i went over to my brothers house he ordered for this before the pandemic and I was so pleased with tge quality and taste of the food. So i went yesterday and ordered the jin ju chicken and fried rice the food was delicious but the portion was almost half of what I used to get. Just like every greedy people theh also have decided to increase the price and decrease the quantity but keep the sam packaging it seems. What a shame I thought they were different. Even though I still think the food here is delicious but because of my morales and beliefs and principles I will not be going back and I dont think anyone else should either. Please I was so hungry i didnt take a picture of the quantity of food but trust me it was not worth $15.

I don t understand how this place only has 4.0 stars. Compared to standard neighbourhood Chinese restaurants this has got to be one of the better ones in town outside of Chinatown. In addition to standard traditional dishes, they also had a number of original Szechuan specialties. Food quality was top notch, and ingredients were fresh. You have to dry the soft shell crab. Wondrous. Food was packaged perfectly, which is often left to be desired with takeout experiences. Every single dish was also labeled with a printed sticker. Nice touch! Also, staff were incredibly friendly and courteous. Our order was ready at the exact time that we were quoted. Five stars, all the way!

This is the third time since tried to leave a positive review. Uber eats wouldnt let me , Google reviews keeps refreshing and I tried calling to share how incredible this food is. Any bad reviews here are people trying to order their standard Chinese order. The crispy beef is absolutely god tier. I had such a beautiful review about it written but its lost to time now. The flavor profile and heat dynamics are like black magic. Everything about it was incredible. My god how the heat catches up on you. Im still sitting In silence. Delicious food, generous portions, and quality ingredients. Anytime our family feels like Chinese food, our go-to is Westwood Grill. We love the general chicken, red/green/golden curry, fried rice, pad thai, and dim sum. Delivery is always prompt, but we also pick up sometimes.

If you havent ate from westwood grill pan-asian, pls save yourself from wasting your money. This place is a disgrace to asain food. Ordered general tao shimp and when i got it, it looks like shimps in black slimy goo and smell just as bad as it looked.

I used to order regularly from this restaurant and ithe food was always amazing. I ordered dinner last night and it was horrible. The chicken dish was extremely salty, too much breading. The rice dish was blsnd with very little meat and vegetables. Overall very poor food quality at an exorbitantly high price. I wont be ordering from them again @

I was so disappointed. After reading the other reviews I thought the food would be good. It wasnt that great the 1st time I tried this restaurant, but I thought Id give it a 2nd chance. im not giving it a 3rd. The General Tso and Orange chicken were cold and and the meat was very tough. It was not fresh at all. The wonton soup had no flavour. And the rice tasted wierd. And the delivery was late because the restaurant needed more time. For what? To microwave old food? I tried complaining to Uber Eats but they didnt seem to care either.

Just ordered chicken fried rice for dinner. My husband picked up his way home from work. Sat down to eat and rice was completely gross!!! So much oil it was dripping from spoon when scooped out. I could actually get a tsp of oil out of the container. Not bringing back because not sending husband back out. Ill make dinner instead and this is going in the garbage! Dont think Ill be ordering dinner from here ever again.

We ordered 7 different dishes from this restaurant and all of them were delicious! General Tao chicken and honey garlic spare ribs were my favourite. Excellent quality and good portions. Will be ordering again!

The food is great but 2 hours for delivery when they say average 1 hour is ridiculous.

In the heart of Bloor West this place was amazing! Ordered crispy ginger beef, general Tao chicken and sweet and sour pork amd everything was fresh and delicious. Going to try the pad Thai next time. Great local business. Will definitely be heading back soon.

Weve ordered delivery from Westwood 4-5x and have loved every order (also cant believe how quick delivery is. They do their own delivery!!). Weve found the food to be consistently yum, on par with some of my favorite restos in Markham/Scarborough, and not overly saucy or oily... I adamantly disagree with the negative reviews! Being far from Chinatown, I miss dim sum and critical staples like ma po tofu... Stumbling upon this resto has been a lifesaver on nights Im feeling homesick I am so grateful theyve survived the pandemic and I hope they thrive as things open back up. Thank you for being in this neighborhood!

Who s rating these reviews? It was unfortunate I have to write a negative review but this can t be normal to eat. Everything is dripped in oil. Even the green beans!?!? HOW. Every SINGLE item you order is drained in oil. So gross. Waste of $80 first and last order. Public health needs to review this.

What the heck happened to this place. We ordered here all the time. This time though it was not the same food. Everything is not right. We ordered wings with salt and pepper and they smothered it with chili sauce and they were raw, I hate chili sauce. Everything tasted bland, not flavourful like before. What is there new management? We are never ordering here again.

This is the 2nd time I ve ordered from Westwood and need to order more because of all of the choices in the menu! Really great dinner and used the delivery option this time. Ordered for 6:00 and was hot and ready and on my porch at 6:02. Special shout out for the veggie rolls as they were nice and crisp which is since I find they don t travel well. Over ordered accidentally on purpose and now I m looking forward to lunch and my feast of leftovers. Just a $3 delivery fee which I think is totally reasonable and the contactless delivery was seamless.

We ve been a customer for a long time dined in and have ordered to the house however on this occasion we ordered online and specified and pick up time I arrived 5 minutes early and the food was already sitting in the counter. We brought it home served it and it was cold completely. Not good so we nuked it and it s just not the same so a $76 order was sort of blah. Bad experience all around from one of our favourite places, won t do that again.

The tastiest items in my delivery were the soy sauce packet and fortune cookies... Avoid at all costs.

This is our second experience using Westwood take-out/delivery service for lunch and we have been very pleased on both occasions. The delivery was on time and the food was still hot! Our specific instructions for less sodium/oil were followed perfectly! We enjoyed a variety of authentic, well presented dim sum (not the frozen kind). The Satay Beef and Singapore Vermicelli was spicy but not too spicy and the Shrimp Bok Choy had the right tenderness. The total bill for two was not cheap but we had more than enough left-over for dinner. We look forward to having more Westwood Grill take out!

First and last time, shame I saw great reviews and we were very excited to order from this place. My beef chow mein was tasteless.I had to run to my salt and pepper shaker.The crispy shrimps were very oily and salty.My husband black beans beef was meh. The fried wonton was tasteless, but crispy at least. Im sorry, I know restaurants are suffering during the pandemic time.I wont be ordering from Westwood Grill again.I feel I didnt get a good value for my $66 dollars bill.

Westwood grill is probably my favourite place for Chinese takeout in the city! Their food is always fresh and tends to be less greasy compared to other Chinese restaurants I have tried. I must say that if you decide to try Westwood Grill, you can t order without adding their Chicken Soo Guy with the lemon sauce and the Vegetable Chow Mein. Honestly, these two dishes alone are worth stopping off here. Their Vegetable Chow Mein is crispy, yet has a sweet, oyster-like sauce added to it, avoiding their noodles from tasting dry and bland, which I find is the case much too often. The Chicken Soo Guy must be had with the lemon sauce as it adds a sweet tang to the chicken, a taste I have yet to experience anywhere else. If you are in the mood for some amazing Chinese takeout, you must try Westwood Grill, one of the best spots for Chinese food in the area.

Ordered through uber eats and very disappointed.Both me and my husband fell sick after eating.Very salty,oily and high in MSG very unhealthy.

If I could give a zero star, I would! This is how bad the service was! We ordered over $100 worth of food at 6:55pm. After about 40 minutes since we ordered, we got a phone call asking us if we planned on adding a tip and if it should have been added to our visa payment. We said that we will give a cash tip to the driver. After waiting, and waiting, and waiting we called to inquire about the delay. We were told that the driver had 2 other deliveries and that we were put last for the delivery because we didnt include the tip on our visa bill. By this time it was 8:45p.m. We requested to cancel our order, the person who answered said that he wouldnt refund and hanged up. We called back, he wouldnt answer, called, and called, and called. Finally the driver arrives. We tell him that we didnt want the food and that we are cancelling the order. He swore at us and walked away. We are fighting the transaction with visa. What horrible service

Best chinese restaurant with a huge menu to choose from. Loved the sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and G Tao chicken. Pork dumplings were amazing.

Just made my first order from this place. Had a little trouble with the app and ordered twice. They called imnediately and we straightened my order mixup out. I grew up in the 60s at the time Torontos chinatown was just a couple of restaurants near Bay and Dundas. Sai Woo probably the most well known. Later when Spadina blossomed from haberdashers and deli,s to add Cantonese and then Hunan and Sechuan I ate up and down the street. Pan Asian is the perfect description of the first delivery meal I just had from here. Definitely Ill be ordering again and covid willing, well be dining in on Annette St. sooner rather than later

They lied and used the wrong fish. We ordered unagi and rice and they used herring and some other type of fish instead of unagi. Weve had unagi many times in Japan and know what it tastes like. Dont deceive your customers

Ive ordered delivery from here 4-5 times via the website and have enjoyed it each time. The delivery has been faster than stated on the website and the delivery person always friendly. The dishes are ample and tasty. I havent found better Chinese delivery in west Toronto.

Love the food and friendly staff. One complaint is takeout waste. Black plastic containers and plastic bags. This is a huge issue and will keep me from ordering takeout and choose another place to takeout from.

Best Chinese food in bloor west.

We ordered online at 6:19 and our order was delivered at 8:10. The driver was clueless and barely understood what we were taking about (he still got a good tip because it s not his fault, I m sure). Whats worse is when we called the restaurant to complain, the offered to fire the driver. So, late, luke-warm food, disrespectful service, and then mocking us for complaining that it took close to 2 hours for our food to arrive. Thats just not OK. I don t think we will order from this restaurant again.

Decent spot. Above average Chinese. Not amazing but very good. Very disorganized with pickup times. They say half an hour and its sometimes sitting there waiting when you show up in 20. Ive also showed up in 35 only to sit for another half hour for the exact same order.

My go to for fresh. I love the hot and sour soup and their veg. spring rolls. I am told the rolls are made on site.

Very good food. One of my favourite places in the city to eat green curry chicken and the beef fried rice. Also like that they have a dim sum menu. The beef shiu mar is very tasty.

This is one of the most terrible restaurants I have ever ordered from. Their foods quality are extremely poor and cannot even compete against home kitchen stuff. The Chinese foods in Scarborough are much much better than this restaurants one. I ordered two dishes (sweet and sour pork & honey garlic spareribs) from this restaurant for takeout and it came as what the photo shows. I dont even need to comment how terrible they look. Dark coloured spareribs with dark coloured dressing...the sweet and sour pork doesnt have much taste but a strong cooking wine flavour...

This was our first time here and we are very pleased with the quality of the food. We got the spare ribs, chicken with Chinese brocolli, tofu and veggies and house noodles. This place has good dessert options also. The price is par for the neighbourhood so no surprises there. We would eat here again or order take out.

Ma Po tofu had no meat but was excellent. Shanghai noodles had too much soy sauce. Mango salad was well done. Snow pea leaf dumplings were carefully prepared and needed the hot sauce I put on it - I would recommend. Nice decor. Service was a bit slow which I dont mind for good food so it should have been a bit quicker.

Good food, nice atmosphere, but disappointingly small portions. A standard entree (even a higher priced one) left us hungry.

We have gotten delivery from here several times with mixed results. Today, however, we paid $82 for about 3 portions of just ok food. The manager basically responded with too bad for you and didnt really care if we returned as customers or not. Pretty poor customer service. Toronto is a big city with many food options. Take your custom elsewhere.

Just awful! We ordered $100 worth of delivery last night and it was barely edible. Each dish looked and tasted terrible. The Thai Green Curry was basically watery coconut milk poured over mushy vegetables. The Szechuan dishes were drowning in sweet, goopy brown sauce and caked with chili flakes. Even the dim sum was pasty. Have been eating here off and on for 10 years but never again! Expensive and substandard.

This place has terrible customer service. After ordering delivery we found the food was not cooked properly and was really bland. We called to tell them about it and they didnt do anything to give us good service. They kept excusing it saying thats how its cooked and pretty much saying tough luck. After speaking with the manager they sent the delivery guy over with a new order but refused to give it to us because we had started the first order (but couldnt eat it because it was so bad). The driver was very rude and stormed off and said its our problem. We called the manager and told him about this and he also argued and was very rude saying we had eaten the food and even though we offered to send it back for him to see it they didnt take it. He said Im sorry and hung up. This place is expensive so you would expect at least good service and good food. Never ordering from them again.

Im surprised at some of the reviews here. Ive found the food to be amazing (its the best Chinese food in the area) and the service has always been fine (I only do take out, so I dont know what the wait staff is like). If you live in the area, then this is the place to get your Chinese takeout from.

Id want to rate a 3.5 if I could have. Good food, but slightly expensive for the portion sizes... so I dont mind paying a bit extra when I want quality. They have these wontons in peanut butter sauce that are to die for. I only get delivery, and the service has always been good.

Anyone who lives in Toronto has eaten at a bunch of Chinese restaurants. Westwood Grill is the citys best kept secret. Better than any of the restaurants Ive eaten at in Chinatown or elsewhere.

I walked by the dimly lit restaurant during the day, and didnt see much action. Being new to the area I checked out a different more populated restaurant a few doors down. Then one night, dont feel like cooking as the events of the previous night have left me drained and unwilling to cook any meager meal that would allow me to achieve satisfaction. I think of the dimly lit memory of Westwood Grill. I look at the menu, and decide on a simple noodle and dim sum combo. I place the order online, but agree to pay in cash as a man should always pay in cash anywhere that sells alcohol. Girls that fall for plastic usually are themselves. I walk into the place, the staff greets me kindly and inquires about my presence. I initiate that I am there for a pickup. The young woman infront of me looks me in the eyes and asks for my number. I dont even hesitate, I declare it unto her. She nods in approval, moves towards the back as if to whisper something to the other staff, and then turns to face me again. She hands over a small bag with the contents of my meal encased within.With that I should of been greatful, the transaction was complete, I was free to go, but I was rooted in place. I already knew the meal was as magic as this moment. I take the bag, give her one last look, as tell her to keep the change, but whisper and I will keep mine. I take it back home, the meal is better than expected. The special instructions were followed. I want the meal to come with a walkie talkie so I can instantly relay how much I am enjoying the meal. Might come back.

Kind of a Chinese hybrid. Huge portions that you come to expect in Chinese restaurants. Very tasty.

Doesnt seem to be many reviews.... most are from years ago. Dont like the remarks that their cheap and skimpy on takeouts. Soooooooo dont think Ill order from here
