Small plates & international cuisine are the focus at this laid-back bar & restaurant.
This place (12/8/24) was completely packed but the food OMG! Try the Chicken Avocado Cheese Melt because it was everything delicious! Our server Kelsey ran 14 tables BY HER SELF and aside from waiting on our cosmos food came out fast, hot, and perfectly cooked! Check this one out 10/10.
Popped in here for a quick drink and was impressed with the menu! Nice variety of options. Great atmosphere and vibe - really cozy - could definitely dress up or pop in casually if you’re a regular in the neighbourhood. Kelsey was our server and she was super welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I got the bone broth onion soup and it tastes like what your Mom would simmer on the stove all day on a Sunday. Great experience and will def be back!
I stopped by this restaurant recently, and while the food was just alright, I really loved the atmosphere and service. The staff was super friendly, and the whole vibe was really relaxed. What made it even better is that they’re pet-friendly and have a nice patio, so I brought my dog along. She had a blast too! It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a laid-back place to hang out, especially if you want to bring your furry friend
It's a cozy place with indoor and outdoor seating. Nice vibes. Food is good. We went for dinner and tried tacos, prawns, and truffle fries. They serve many drinks as well.
Visited The Corner Place near St. Lawrence Market and loved the summer vibes on their patio. No wait when we arrived, and the service was decent with regular check-ins. Drinks were well-priced for Toronto and quite tasty. We tried the Truffle Fries, which were fantastic—huge portion with lots of sauce and a mild truffle flavor. The Bang Bang Prawns were good too, though a bit chewy and not as large a portion. The Japanese tacos were a highlight—so delicious with a huge chicken slab, making them hard to close, but the flavors and sauces made up for it. A crispier shell would have made them perfect. The Pistachio Ricotta Cake was amazing, combining two of my favorite flavors. I just wish it was bigger hehe Overall, The Corner Place is a great spot for patio dining, and I’m definitely planning to come back!
I visited the Corner Place last weekend and sat on the patio. We were a larger group, but they were able to accommodate us on a short notice. The brunch was great - we had some mimosas, the breakfast prime rib burger, and the avocado toast.
Absolutely loved this restaurant! Situated in the heart of downtown Toronto, it boasts a gorgeous patio that offers a perfect blend of urban energy and serene ambiance. The food was nothing short of amazing, with each dish showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients and expertly crafted flavors. The wide range of drink options, from exquisite cocktails to an extensive wine list, ensured there was something to complement every meal. The customer service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout our visit. Must have dishes would Be the bang bang Prawns, parmigiana fries, Korean BBQ style Short Ribs, and of coarse their. Hamburgers!! Whether you're there for a laid-back brunch, a cozy dinner date, or just hanging out with friends, this place is a fantastic pick for a memorable meal.
Tasty, but pricy. Everything we ordered tasted good. We ordered Bang bang prawns, Truffle parm fries, and Basil coconut curry with chicken (Drat! Forgot to take a picture of the curry. Just imagine a bowl of rice next to a mini cast iron serving dish filled with curry that has sliced mushrooms, sliced red and green bell peppers and sliced chicken, all served atop a wooden platter). The prawns were very nice, the flavors excellent. The doneness of the prawns themselves were not perfect-- a smidge overdone, but still very good. The fries were everything fries should be: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. While the coconut curry was good, not spicy. All three dishes had good presentation. Their food is expensive when you take portions into consideration. Servers were friendly.
The most cozy bar in Toronto with the most friendly staff! Fantastic food options and extensive drinks menu. The servers were so incredibly friendly to our 1y/o toddler daughter. Love this place Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly for our 1y/o daughter.
Your typical sports bar. Had a Leafs game playing. The bartender was really nice and the food was surprisingly really good. Would definitely come back to try more.
I come here on a regular basis for brunch. The space is really nice and has a beautiful patio in the summer that is dog friendly. The food is why I come, I absolutely love their brunch and the $5 mimosas really make it worth a stop. I had to put stars down for the service... As I said I come here every week almost and they never miss to forget an item on my order... Wether it is my coffee (happened twice) or my side salad ... The staff is always so apologetic but for this to happen constantly really questions their attention and if you should be tipping them ... A shame for a place with such an amazing menu.
I celebrated a milestone birthday there and it was just perfect. Easy to work with, great food, excellent service, warm vibes! We will be back for sure. Thank you, Gancalo and Leah for making sure it a fun for everyone.
Went here for the first time with a friend of mine who lives in the area. Great service, great food, friendly staff and patrons! Will definitely be back!
Amazing vibes, not a bad thing to say about this place, but Ivan should definitely be allowed to work on Tuesdays #freeIvan
Came in for a pint with a friend, service was OK but it took a while to get served. The staff were friendly but a little odd, they kept talking about how much customers were tipping and passing comments (positive & negative) the whole time we were there at the bar.
Located right at the corner of Front and Jarvis, perfect spot to grab a drink. Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30pm and note that the kitchen opens at 4pm. It wasnt busy and we were able to grab a spot on the patio. They had a good selection of beer at fair prices. Would recommend and comeback to try their food.
My go to Irish pub in Toronto. Absolutely love their foods & drinks menu! Food
Great food!
Servers are demure Great place to chill with your friends Food also top notch Food : 5/5
Great place! Awesome beers.
Got to be one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had! I had it with salad. The salad portion was huge! It was not a side size, but a main size. Recommend!
A local staple. Their truffle fries are out of this world. The smash burger with truffle fries is the perfect meal. A nice little patio for people watching. Good service and good drinks. The menu is a bit small, but fortunately I always get the same thing lol. Prices are a bit high, but they are everywhere these days, and this is a prime location, so I imagine the rent is high! Fun trivia night thats free to play too!
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. I had a Mocktail called Rose and Cran which was delicious and my husband had an IPA. We both chose the burger and fries and they were very good. The burger was just what we felt like and the fries were good and very plentiful. Good neighbourhood gastropub.
Came here for trivia on the 27th and it was amazing. Stephanie, Alana, Teddy and Kat were fabulous and made our experience great . Will be returning !!!!
came in on august 27th for trivia and stephanie, teddy and alana were absolutely amazing! they were super nice and absolutely made our night!! will come back again :)
Just came in for drinks with friends, had Stephs signature cocktail, the Lychee kiss. Right on the spot. Then an Espresso Martini. Didnt have any food but Ill be back, best spot in this part of town. Great staff, chill spot. Make your way here.
Great service, and even better poutine! Very close to the market if you need a quick stop.
Very cool sandwich on a very nice terrace.
Been here about 3 times now, and never left disappointed once! Especially love hitting it up for quick eats before concerts. On the pricer side of bar eats, however the food is delicious and so are the drinks. All the servers are incredibly sweet as well and very attentive, but also give you your space to chat and eat and its the perfect mix. Every time I come here I make sure I eat the Truffle Baked Camembert, its truly one of the best, a must try!!! Truffle fries and jerk chicken burger were also good. This is the only good picture I have from the first visit because every other time Ive just dove right into the yummy food lol Vegetarian options: Not as much variety, but definitely still have good options to enjoy.
Located just a stones throw from Torontos iconic St. Lawrence Market, The Corner Place offers a culinary experience that perfectly complements the markets vibrant atmosphere. This charming eatery stands out with its exceptional menu and welcoming ambiance, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts and casual diners alike. One of the highlights of The Corner Place is their red snapper ceviche. This dish showcases the restaurant s commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. The ceviche is a delightful blend of tangy, citrusy flavors and tender fish, creating a refreshing start to any meal. Another standout is their hummus and olives, which offer a Mediterranean touch with creamy, flavourful hummus paired with briny, perfectly marinated olives. For those craving comfort food, the burger at The Corner Place is a true treat. It features a perfectly cooked patty with a succulent, juicy texture, complemented by fresh toppings and a soft, toasted bun. The homemade fries served alongside are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, providing a satisfying crunch with every bite. The Corner Place also excels in its beverage offerings, particularly their martinis. Expertly crafted and served with flair, these cocktails are a testament to the establishment s dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. The attentive and friendly staff further enhance the dining experience, ensuring that each visit is enjoyable and memorable. In summary, The Corner Place enriches the St. Lawrence Market experience with its exceptional food and drink offerings. Whether youre indulging in their ceviche, savoring a burger, or enjoying a well-made martini, this gem of a restaurant adds a distinctive flavour to the areas culinary landscape. Patio is dog friendly!
Delicious food, very friendly staff
Fun loving people!
Trivia Tuesday is always a blast with good drinks specials. And best servers ever Teddy and Kelsy always bring the energy.
Great place to stop when the Toronto weather is humid! Grab a drink, get a juicy burger, and enjoy the hustle and hustle of Toronto!
Nice patio. Good smash burger. Breakfast potatoes are real potatoes and done nicely. Will come back. Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Ask server Parking: Downtown. Just need to pay Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Keysey is great Good burger Good poutine Thanks a lot to Kelsey for your smile and service Kiss from Paris
Teddi and steph- first day off in 30 days!! I had the best night, had the best drinks and had the best fun!! Our favourite bar in Toronto
Its a cozy bar , food was great and so delicious
Not too many nice patios in this part of the city. This one stands out for sure a little quiet oasis on the corner of Front and Jarvis. Foods decent, drink specials are sweet. Staff is super kind
Had an amazing experience at Corner Place. Alanna, Axel and Ivan provided wonderful service to our party of 30 people. They were super attentive and ensured everyone was taken care of. Our space was kept clean & tidy the whole evening. The catered food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Visited this restaurant today for lunch. The food was amazing and cocktails were phenomenal. We ate on the patio, which was lovely and partially shaded (and dog friendly)! Great atmosphere and lovely location walking distance from distillery district and Union Station. The service was really fast. I will definitely visit again in the future.
Good beer and food on the patio.
Great patio for Summer and good service! Loved the selection of Beers as well. Must try : Bang Bang Prawns and Truffle Fries - both are absolutely delicious
Food was well prepared. Drinks are good. My server was really friendly. No snobby atmosphere lol which is common in Toronto these days. Good experience and do recommend. Would go back just for the service and try something else food wise.
Nice and lively place, great staff and delicious food. Drinks are well prepared and punchy. Totally recommend this place
Great place to go have a drink with friends. Spacious bar and a very pleasant terrace, ideal for hanging out on warmer days. Very friendly staff and the food is very well prepared and tasty. Very well located, right in the city center. I recommend.
July 8 First time Guest & Mitch was Amazing!!! Prime Rib Burger was yummy with Sweet Potato Fries. I ll be back. Thank you. Gail
The food was pretty good but the service was not good. You know when you have to ask to be served? Like that. Over and over.
I really enjoyed our time there. Our server with this cute British accent was very friendly. Food and beverage was great also. I took lots of pictures inside and out and loved them all.
Amazing bistro with delicious food, great drinks and excellent service. I honestly cant say Ive had a bad experience. The staff are all very friendly and service is quick. Probably one of the best restaurants in the city.
Great service and atmosphere! Food is good and well priced!
My friend and I were actually shocked by how friendly and nice all the staff were. We waited near the door for seats and literally every server who walked by said hello. How often does that happen in Toronto?? The trivia was really fun and everyone working there was in a great mood.
Update from May 2024: again, excellent. Our server Kelsey was awesome. Totally spoiled us with great service, funny and friendly, also recommended snacks, dinner, dessert, tasty local beers because there were too many good ones on the menu to choose from everything was delicious and it was a pretty perfect night. Only wish they hadn t taken away the poke bowl and fish tacos, which were soooo good. Previous: Great food, well beyond usual pub fare. Good service and very reasonable prices. A favourite!
Pretty nice patio out front, decent selection of craft beer on tap & in cans. Food was a mixed bag, the Truffle Camembert was divine, the truffle fries & shishito peppers average.
Great tandoori fish. Gliten free and dairy free
Overall experience was wonderful!! Visiting toronto for a couple days and stoped in this place based off other reviews and they were more than right! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and comfortable. Kelsey was absolutely amazing with service and recommendations! Needless to say we will be going back!!
Very nice. Food was excellent and filling for a reasonable price. Got the CP Breakfast Sandwich which was delish. Service was perfect.
Great burger deals on Monday
My most favorite place to go Sunday mornings. I cannot say enough about this place. Super relaxed energy, such personable and prompt service. The bar totally knows what is up, no matter who is pouring. Food is delicious and consistent. I m known for requesting slight changes or additions to my plate and without reservation they have been so accommodating. Of course within reason Update June 11 2024 It only gets better @thecornerplace it is becoming a regular for myself and my friend group. We have tried most things on the menu. My cocktail of choice always is a margarita and they are a reasonable price and delicious! I m a huge fan of the burger and fries. I don t like eating beef very often with the exception of the burger here. I grew up on a farm and my parents only fed us 7 children what we grew in the garden, the barn and what we could make with these raw materials. Everyone wants to make something more out of a burger than it is. Not here great quality beef and everything is fresh on the burgers, the pickles taste like they came out of our root cellar. I recommend the fries as well. I don t eat fried food anymore unless it s worth it. Something about these fries makes them frigging delicious. The patio is open now, do yourself a favor find a shady spot on the treed patio or a sunny spot depending on the day and take a load off before you go do your marketing kitty corner at St Lawrence. On of my favorite outings for sure. Happy Happy Bill Angst
Came here for Trivia Tuesday and it was so busy! It starts at 7 but I would recommend to get there at 6 to get a good spot - 6:30 the latest. Trivia was really fun - there was a total of five rounds. I got the prime rib smash burger and that was pretty good. The virgin caesar wasn t spicy enough for me and it had a lot of pulp (which I don t like). But overall really cute place and will definitely be going back for Trivia Tuesdays!
Food is ok. But definitely a good place to hang out and grab drinks
I was in Toronto and my friend recommended this place to me. I had really good servers (Kelsey & Stephanie). They gave me good recommendations on where to go in the city. Very good place for groups!
I met up with my friends here after a Father s day dinner and it was a good experience and loved the atmosphere. My group connected with the servers for being awesome, shout out to Stephanie and Kelsey, had good conversation with them which made it the more better. Definitely bring friends and or family here after a good night out to chill and relax
My son & I had a great experience, superb food & drinks...shout out to Axel - I made a mistake with ordering my drink, and he immediately & graciously replaced it with another one. The quality of the food & alcohol was excellent. We will definately be going back soon!
Great place. Lively. Good food.
Great food , service and atmosphere! Love the place . Food
We were only there for drinks but the service was very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
Great place and great atmosphere om weekdays but the service significantly gets slower on weekends. I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my cutleries and my food got really cold. I also ordered a latte which I got maybe after 25 min!!!
Great
Good service and good vibes. Slightly overpriced menu but the location and the neighborhood warrants that. Vegetarian options: A decent variety of options with a good variety of vegetarian offerings
Teddy and Axel were comforting and respectful. They were very attentive and professional. I will be back !!
Its a great little spot with a warm cozy atmosphere, excellent food, and kind staff. The prices were downright reasonable for an excellent meal offering value that is pretty much unheard of in the neighbourhood. I will definitely join them for another meal.
Everything was perfect
WE LOVE CORNER PLACE!!! My partner and I are regulars here, we come here very often. A regular spot for Sunday brunch for us. We come for the mimosas and I m obsessed with the breakfast tacos. I have gotten them every time I come here. My partner loves the eggs Benny. The food always comes so quickly too! All of the staff are amazing, super friendly, and very accommodating (shout out to Kate thought she s the best). Will continue coming back to corner place for sure!
Great place for brunch. Had the breakfast burger and my wife tried the Spanish Frittata from their brunch menu. It was really tasty and filling. Vegetarian options: Din t see much options for vegetarians on their brunch menu
A little hole in the wall. Literally the corner. The ambiance was calming, and the mocktails to die for. I loved it.
Great place to grab a bite and drinks. Went here after work and had some brews and the jerk chicken sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and the fries seemed fresh cut.
Great pub atmosphere
A really fun place. Tasty drinks and food. Great, attentive, fun, servers. Went twice in a week!
Such a cozy spot for a drink with the aesthetic and the fireplaces! Great service! Would definitely go back
Nice place to meet with friends, cocktails ar great
A decent hamburger and salad for $10 plus drink on Mondays and Tuesdays!
The brunch and mimosas were out of this world. The waiters were all super chill, I loved the vibe.
I had the PC breakfast. The only problem I had was that I needed help with my food. I gave my mom some of my potatoes. She had to try some bacon and peameal bacon. One bite from the sausage and it brought me back to Vancouver by the boardwalks at this nice restaurant. And the coffee, O...M..G. was so flavourful, packed with a punch of good morning. The wait staff was amazing, supper friendly. We didnt have to wait long for our food, actually our food came quick. Going back for sure, we were a Paddingtons kind of bunch, lol for years we have been eating there. Cant wait to try the patio. Dietary restrictions: I have fruit allergies, they were so accommodating.
What a wonderful restaurant, a lovely little hidden gem. Amazing food, creative ingredients and a good range of beers.Good service. I certainly recommend it to my friends
Went for brunch on a Saturday. Got a table easily. They had some specials as well, which they were trialling before potentially adding to the menu. I ordered the pulled pork Benny from this special menu. It wasn t anything great. The pork made the English muffin very soggy, so much so that it was falling off the fork. The onions on the Benny didn t really add much in terms of taste or texture. The potatoes could have also done with some more salt. My friend ordered the breakfast tacos. At the end of the meal, he was very disappointed and said that he could ve made a better version of them at home! The scrambled egg was lacking any sort of seasoning, while the rest of the toppings just seemed to be some veggies thrown on top. The service was quite good, and they offered to not charge my friend for his meal upon hearing his feedback. Vegetarian options: There are a few options, although they contain eggs (breakfast tacos for example)
First time back in Toronto in MANY years. Decided to stop here on our walk back to our Airbnb. I was excited to see Poutine on the menu because it was one of the things I was looking forward to on this trip. The service was very nice, pleasant and friendly, accurate and prompt! The burgers at our table were spoken very highly of, the calamari my husband ordered was pretty good. The Poutine was not what I expected. It had potential, but the gravy was just too much gravy although it did taste good. Mozzarella instead of cheese curds was not authentic to me, therefore not that enjoyable. Overall it was a satisfying meal, but I was left wanting good Poutine which didnt happen for me this weekend.
Good vibes
very sweet atmosphere, the staff were hospitible and checked in with us at the perfect times (not too often but not too little either) the atmosphere of the place was very chill (we went after sundown), we had a group of us and it was a blast, food was good as well from what I saw, I ended up having the sweet potato fries which ended up being really good. overall great spot to hang out
Cute interior with kind staff and quick service. :)))
If you re visiting St Lawrence this is a great place for brunch!! Can t wait to come back and try their lunch/dinner Menu. Great food, good prices, quaint! Food
Great brunch with my daughter.
their truffle fries are incredible, service is prompt and friendly, and their monday burger deal is impossible to beat.
Really nice ambiance inside the restaurant- the music was great and I liked the lighting/decor. The wood burning stove beside our booth really kept things warm and cozy indoors. Service was quick and friendly. Overall enjoyed a really nice meal. The poutine s gravy was pretty salty but the soup is just what I was craving on a cold night. Mocktail was delicious.
Called in asking for a dog friendly place. The lady on the phone confirmed it was. Getting to the place I saw a person inside holding a dog, so I entered and was told by the hostess that she apologized for the inconvenience but dogs were not allowed , I told her that there was a guy inside with a puppy dog on his arms and without a service dog vest and she didn t bother to look just saying I m sorry for the misunderstanding . we had to leave. Google showed it as a dog friendly restaurant in Toronto . NOT DOG FRIENDLY.
Loved it. Looking forward to going back. Great atmosphere, good food and excellent service. Wish it was in our home city.
Got the butter chicken with naan. One of the best Ive had!
The best little brunch spot - food was amazing, great mimosa deal and just love the fire place and lighting
Second time here and a great spot.
Food - fries used to be amazing - crispy and salty, but the last few times Ive gone they have been soggy :( New cook? New recipe? Please change it back! I have tried most of their mains, and they are just ok. The butter chicken is very bland (dont order if you actually like Indian food lol) Service - the staff are friendly and try to do their best, but they seem visibly stressed. When its busy I think they just need to hire a couple of more people to make service run smoother. Atmosphere - its much nicer sitting outside on the patio and staff do their best to accommodate this. They will sit you inside to start if there is room, and once something outside becomes available they will move you. Inside is pretty loud and has more of a bar feel, not that enjoyable for eating a meal, but depends on what youre there for I guess! Overall, food and service are ok. It really relies on being in a great location and having a nice patio.
Great service and nice patio!!!
One of the best patios and brunch spots In the area
Salads are great, love having a Guinness here as they re not common at most bars!
We truly loved this place! What an incredible staff. We had a perfect service from the servers. From the host Feben, to the bartender to the food and drinks! Would 100% recommend this little gem! Our server Alana, Taylor and Kelsey were amazing and our drinks from Dylan were magnificent!
The vibe on the patio was great. Loved the atmosphere. The food was mediocre. Wouldn t recommend anything we ate. The service was severely lacking. Our server hardly came by our table, even when our drinks were empty for almost 10 minutes. I would have had another cocktail but I decided to go to the next bar because I was tired of waiting.
For late night bite to eat, this is the perfect spot. We ordered a few apps and they were delicious. The chocolate mousse dessert was delicious as well. Staff was helpful and attentive. I highly recommend to everyone.
A good place to have a good beer with chips. The Boniato fries are highly recommended. You can also eat there. Very fast and good service
What a shame, this place used to have really good food but they really cheaped out on quality in the past few years. Not worth the price anymore.
Amazing little bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The non alcoholic beverages are treated with the same care as the alcoholic beverages. Next time I will try the food.
Good food, friendly service, no long waiting
It s a shame because I usually suggest this place a lot to my friends and I just had dinner here today and the food was god AWFUL. The truffle fries had NO truffle - they were layered with a mountain of white mayo sauce that tasted NASTY. The Korean ribs didn t seem to be fully cooked I did not finish my plate and the waitress didn t bother asking how the food was. Was really let down.
Great little patio! Trivia night is awesome!
Great place to get some dinner - would definitely recommend if you re in the area and hungry!
After 10 minutes of waiting in a commotion I fled
Cut glass, sugar on fries, bad servers attention
Very cute atmosphere...patio is wonderful with all the lights. Our server was friendly and on his game. Service was quick. Food was excellent. Had prime Rib burger with truffle fries and it is one if the best burgers I have had in a while.
Tuesday night Trivia! Just dont get the food .
The red pepper quinoa bowl is average, and the truffle fries were average too. Not a bad spot. Liked that they allow dogs on the patio so it s chill that way. Vegetarian options: Not many veggie options so it s better to go to other spots
Excellent restaurant perfectly located with a really nice atmosphere. The quality/price ratio is unbeatable! It was very good, and not representative of the exorbitant prices in Toronto. The dishes are all under $20 and there is something for everyone.
Good food and the best ambience... Vegetarian options: Very less Food : 4/5 |
Just got rejected there by a girl but the food was really good and the service is great :v
Incredibly attentive staff that took care of our every need. Thank you so much!!!
Patio will be able to accommodate dogs.
Drinks were awesome came in after a shift to chill out. Location is wonderful, lots to see around. Can t wait to be back to try the food. Thanks for the after work drinks. Taylor is the best!!!
Great spot for grabbing a drink or a bite before heading out for the night. Chilled vibe and friendly atmosphere.
A very cute little bar servicing unique pub foods at a very great value! The service here is wonderful. I am going to make this my new local haunt for sure.
Everyone is bald
Great menu with interesting items. This could be happily added to a repertoire of usual places Went again and continue to be happy. Food came out fast. It was simple but delicious. Loved the home fries. Very great fruit nicely prepared. Good value all around.
I hardly ever, IF EVER go to a place where I liked everything I ate. My friend and I got the katsu fish taco, the Japanese style chicken taco, and the prime rib burger. All the dishes were delicious! The breading on the fish and chicken was perfect and super crispy. The staff were also very personable and kind. I loved the music they played as well. I definitely recommend dining here and will come back again :)
Warning! The food is wonderful but, the small plates are HUGE! Ordered 2 small plates and could only finish 1/2 of each. Tasty and hot! Wasn t overly expensive either.
Friendly staff but very slow service plants have cobwebs and thrips but overall great vibe and the ceviche was bomb!!!!!
I recently dined at The Corner Place and had an excellent experience with their attentive and friendly server, Dylan. The service was impeccable, and the servers recommendations were spot-on. Ill definitely be returning for both the delicious food and the exceptional service. My favourite was Butter Chicken and Chips & Guacamole.
Lovely place, great drinks but most of all amazing and kind service.
This is a place that we walked by many times while in the area, but I noticed a $10 burger special one day and went in. The burger special was very good and service was excellent; our server was attentive and knowledgable and friendly. Should have dropped in earlier . . . .
Great place for drinks! Has a good atmosphere without being too pretentious. Good for a day or starting a night out.
Like . This place is insanely good for the atmosphere and the foods are reasonably priced as well! Def try it out!
Over the summer I scouted out venues for my offices end of year holiday party for 60+ guests. After a visit, and a chat with manager Goncalo, I knew this was the venue for us. The decor, the price options, and the menu flexibility were everything I looked for in a venue. Leading up to the event Goncalo was always quick to respond to my inquiries, even if he did not have the answer immediately he told me he would get back soon, and he did! I felt he did everything in his power to make sure we had the best customer experience at The Corner Place. Once our holiday party date finally arrived, Goncalo and his team Axel, Leah and Kate were ready to make our event special. The servers, bar staff and cooks did everything they could to serve my coworkers drink orders in a timely fashion. The team was flexible when I made requests to changing the food schedule, or requesting we put takeout boxes and water stations out. They also helped us setup our personal trivia session and let us use their in-house sound system. The food came out quickly, and presented wonderfully. The charcuterie board was more beautiful than any I had ever seen before. It was almost too good to eat! However, we did and each piece was fresh and flavourful. We also ordered: Veggie spring rolls, mini veggie samosas, chicken dumplings, beef skewers, angus beef sliders, butter chicken with rice, burrito bowl cups, and haloumi tataki salad. The Corner Place was so good to us! The whole team truly made our experience a great one. Many of us mentioned going back there as a team in the future, and bringing our families outside of work. Thank you again, Corner Place team! Vegetarian options: The Corner Place was flexible when it came to substituting meat or fish in their dishes. However, they also had many vegetarian options in general. Dietary restrictions: We were a group of 60 people so I did have to prepare the meal plan ahead of time. This planning allowed me and the chef to discuss dietary restrictions such as the need for dishes to be Halal certified. This was no problem because I gave the restaurant plenty of notice about the requirement.
A really nice place! I had the chicken sandwich and it was so good. Also the service was excellent and also the price was totally okay. Will come here again!
Smoked salmon eggs benny was delicious, service was prompt, and food was reasonably priced.
What a wonderful establishment. Stephanie behind the bar was absolutely phenomenal. She was so busy however gave us all the time we needed with her to discuss our cocktail choices and all the drinks were spectacular!!!! Mitchell who was serving that night was so informative and friendly to everyone in my party. Could not recommend this place enough. My first time to Toronto and Stephanie and Mitchell made us feel like regulars and everything about the place was great!!
Such a good vibe, excellent service (shoutout to Stef and Mitch), great cocktail selection too!! Definitely coming back here again!!!
Went for lunch on a Monday. Friendly fast service. Delicious food and nice portions. Lunch special is a great value. Will visit again
Great place for casual drinks and a bite to eat. Really enjoyed myself, friendly server and the food was good and reasonably priced.
Great food and service
Amazing place, with really good food, environment, and great service. Love the trivia nights! And great support from the management team that helped my team with a party that we hosted!!! Food
Rude waitress that easily ruins your night!
probably the best burgers you can get for $10 (on Mondays)
our experience at the corner place was fantastic! Our server Kelsey provided us with amazing recommendations from the menu and the Parmesan fries were TOO DIE FOR!!! Really cool atmosphere because Kelsey was serving us tbh . The rest of the staff was super friendly as well. will be back for trivia night!!!! Vegetarian options: My besties vegetarian burger was super good definitely a great place for really good vegetarian cuisine
We had the best time with Kelsey! Such a great spot to catch up with friends and family!!!
The jerk burger is a must try
Live music is pretty LOUD
