Pleasant lunch with friends. Good menu choices and very good service.

Great cozy place to grab and bite to eat and a drink. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. If you re looking for a cozy neighborhood watering hole, this is a great spot.

Service was great. Food was okay, not bad but definitely not impressed. Portions are pretty small, especially, the chicken burger there s almost no chicken at all, just a big bun with no substance in between.

Very nice staff that welcome and serve you. The restaurant feels very homey, I like it. The toffee cake is great, goes well with the Keefe stoute they have on tap.

5 stars for being the first and only spot in the area that serves huevos rancheros, and it was EXCELLENT

I just happened to be in the area and stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. At 4:00 on a Thursday there was a decent group in the place which is always a good sign. The staff were friendly and welcoming, nice selection of beer, and daily food specials (a big personal plus). Decided on a special Apple Chutney Pork burger and fries. It was very tasty, a nice portion size, and great temperature. I was a little disappointed that it was a pre-made pork patty and not hand-made in the kitchen, as it could have used some seasoning, but it really hit the spot. I will definitely stop by again for some traditional menu items.

Better than average pub food, nice atmosphere.

Made a reservation for 2 at 6:30 on a Saturday. The cauliflower cheese dip was good, and cocktails were just fine. Felt like the service dropped the second we mentioned we werent interested in dinner. It was just fine, but nothing extraordinary! Might be back.

Very good, meatloaf, Mac and Cheese and other food. Good specials. Friendly and great service, well priced for the neighborhood and quality of food served. I would recommend it for good home cooked pub / comfort food. It has a cozy atmosphere.

Went out for a causal dinner here with my roommate. The restaurant is very small inside so seats very little, but feels cozy and the front windows offer a lot of natural light. I had a lager with the double fry poutine (regular fries AND sweet potato fries), and both were quite delicious. Good restaurant for a chill and comfortable night of dining.

Overall this is a lovely neighbourhood pub. The service is excellent and the beer selection is solid. Im not a huge fan of the indoor space, but the rooftop patio is top notch. I cant speak to the food other than bread and dip, which was solid.

Love the Atmosphere and it s really cool :-) The food is mediocre it s not awful but it reminds you that you are at a pub eating fried frozen food! The service is absolutely horrendous we have been to this restaurant 3 times cause it s a local place and we keep ending up here for birthday but wow! service is slow staff don t really check on you! We had to constantly ask for water or get someone s attention to serve us! and we basically waited 20 minutes before someone came to the table to check if we wanted receipts or desserts Because of poor service we won t be going back

Been here 2 times prior and was absolutely stellar. This last time, Im hoping it was an off day but here is the thing. See as follows: I had to put salt in the gravy ( I have not touched a salt shaker in 10years) The burger was terrible. The pulled pork was terrible. The calamari was bland. It ruined my fathers day dinner that I vetoed going to japanese BBQ. I wish I didnt..... Hope next time is better, but wow.... I have to say it was not good at all. Vegetarian options: Vegetable stew and salads

Very cute place with excellent food and great service. My wife wanted to have a radler. Mix of beer and lemonade. They didnt have it, but the hostes tried to make one, and it was a success. I will go back to enjoy this wonderful pstio and friendly service

Super nice, neighbourhood casual vibe. Very warm, friendly, and inviting service staff, and a beautiful rooftop patio thats more like a treehouse - far away from the noise, heat, and congestion of the street out front. Mid-range price-point with entrées in the $20 range and lots of classic shareables in the same range. Nice range of beer, wine, and spirits. Great place to go with a small group, and looks like a nice place for a date. Id also like to do night caps at the bar downstairs.

Love this neighbourhood spot. Its my go-to gastropub. Considering all the food is house-made and excellent, the price point is quite reasonable. They have a beautiful treetop patio, but the indoor seating is nice too. They always have rotating specials and Ive never had a mediocre one. Vegetarian options: They have a number of vegetarian options on the menu, and usually have a veg soup on special.

All I can say is, try the Cobb Salad. You wont be disappointed. Id definitely would go back to try moreoff the menu.

Cozy place, good for a drink and a meal. However, service could be improved. The meal I ordered contained an allergen (dairy-sour cream) that was not listed in the menu or dish description. After confirming the allergen with staff, no effort was made to resolve the issue, rather I was told you didnt mention anything before ordering. In other words, your fault, tough luck.

Came in Friday with a meetup group. Our waitstaff had an attitude problem with me, but no biggie. The real crime is the size and shape of their burger patties. Avoid the burgers and you ll enjoy the place.

This place is super cute and cozy! With lots of spots on the upstairs. The fish and chips were really good! The pulled pork sandwich was underwhelming and the salad it came with were not as generous a portion as the fish. The service was slow. I d come back as the location is great and it was a nice experience but not 5 star worthy this time.

They have comfort food down and serve it in the most homely atmosphere on Harbord.

Had french onion soup and shared the buffalo shrimp for appetizers! Both delicious, french onion soup was a bit too salty, but it was my first time trying this kind of soup so maybe its supposed to be?! Had meatloaf for main, amazing! Was already so full, so shared the sticky toffee pudding. It was soo sooo good

April 17th We were enjoying delicious fried pita chips with cauliflower cheese ale dip appetizer when server brought our main course about 20 minutes too early. I m a vegetarian and usually go with mac n cheese, pretty good most of the time. Wanted a change server recommended veggie burger, said it was like delicious veggie meatloaf special a couple months ago, never apparently to be repeated despite several requests. No it wasn t. Fries were good, that s it. Food is generally better than service people who seem very untrained.

I went there for a brunch and took the eggs Benedict. The food took over 45 minutes to arrive. The server didn t let us know it would take so long to arrive. When the food arrived it was cold. It didn t taste good at all, there was barely any Dutch sauce on the eggs. The amount of food was very disappointing too, I was still hungry after eating. The service was very so so. Overall disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

Tried to have a special Mothers Day Brunch for my wife but despite it not being crowded, we waited 70 minutes for our meals, my wifes meal was wrong so hers came at the 80 minute mark, and in the entire time we were there the server never looked at us, came to the table to ask if we wanted more water or other drinks or food, and then walked by us four times without a glance when we tried to grab her attention for the bill. On top of that, I think my wife got sick from her meal.

I had passed this restaurant many times thinking that it was a really small restaurant. I always heard good things about their food so I knew Id try it one day but I didnt know what to expect. The day I decided to finally go, I took some family there. We were pleasantly surprised when we were asked if we would like to sit on the rooftop patio. When we went up, I realized it was a hidden gem!! We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch in the sun, surrounded by trees. :)

Had a great time. Enjoyed the patio space upstairs- its small, but a perfect space for a small group. Highly recommend the chocolate cheesecake! They have a good selection of craft beers. The servers were very professional and chatted with customers casually. Overall, great experience! Would drop-by again.

Well, its my local, and I always support my local! But its easy cuz their food is above average for a pub, and they do vary their beer to keep it interesting. Nice back patio too.

Cute little place. Definitely a good place to bring someone who is looking for something familiar. Best way I could describe this place is, they do regular food with reasonable care. No bells and whistles or flavour of the month ingredients. You could bring your grandparents here for sure. Really nice roof top patio. Decent service. I had the burger, it was alright. Made fresh. The desert was good. Would have preferred it with ice cream instead of whip cream, but I thought it was ok.

The Harbord House is an old haunt and tradition for us - countless get togethers and holiday events. We just love the new location, and all the work John, Rachel, Matt and the team put in to make us all feel at home. Great for our work crowd but also drinks and dinners with friends. The patio is roomy and bright, and the food always keeps us surprised! Love the meatloaf, it is the stuff of legends. Love having options for our salads. Love new items like Saltimbocca. We came for lunch and both had the lobster rolls. Half was plenty for both of us even though we each ordered a full. Bread was nice and light. The sweet potato fries were some of the best Ive ever had. Well definitely be back.

They do justice to their comfort food centric menu. I had the mushroom and goat cheese mac n cheese, a little under seasoned but overall was good. Good portion size with a big side salad. The service was very prompt and attentive and our group of 9 was very well taken care of. I also tried the fried calamari and deep fried pickles and I would recommend the latter.

Wonderful place for a nice dinner with friends. This is our second time as a group and we will definitely be back. Staff is polite, respectful, easy going and supportive. Very accommodating. Food is delicious. I recommend the grilled chicken Cobb salad. Mmm

2021 update: they take reservations for the roof patio! Very good food, huge portions, gorgeous rooftop patio, warm heaters, top floor washrooms, pleasant service. Couldnt recommend a wine pairing but thats just a tiny complaint. Much better than their old location!

Visited during the opening of Phase 2. Staff diligently cleaned surfaces and tables were spaced with 6 feet between seats, without cutting corners by doing 6 feet between tables. Food and service were on par with the price, and the patio was great! Highly recommend!

We sat on the patio of course. Food was delicious. Server was so kind and thoughtful.

Great option for take-away. The Turkey Dinner (an American Thanksgiving Special) was the exact kind of comfort we need these days. Also nice beer selection.
