35 Elm St, Toronto, ON M5G 1H1, Canada
Polished pub with British decor, cuisine & pints, plus 2 patio decks & U.K. sports on TV.
I can’t say enough good things about this fantastic British public house! It’s my go-to spot to watch Premier League matches, and every visit is an absolute treat. The atmosphere is simply amazing—perfect for any soccer fan. Whether it’s a Saturday or Sunday, I don’t mind driving 45 minutes just to be here and soak in the energy. A big shoutout to Jaap for his extraordinary service, always so kind and respectful. He goes above and beyond to make every visit special. The owner is equally amazing, creating a welcoming environment that feels like home. And let’s not forget the food it’s delicious and perfectly complements the experience. If you’re a soccer fan looking for a great place to catch the action or just want to enjoy amazing food and service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!
Follow @bredgyeats for more food! The Sunday special truly lives up to its name, making me forget about all the woes and responsibilities for Monday. This feast is a beautifully roasted beef striploin, cooked to an ultra tender and juicy medium rare and drowned in a red wine gravy made from the beef drippings, for a richer, slightly sweet addition to the beef. My first time having Yorkshire pudding has me immediately hooked. The crisp exterior contrasts the airy and fluffy interior, with a fragrant eggy aroma and lots of surface area to soak up the gravy. Each bite was always so exciting from the sweet parsnip puree, roasted potatoes, honeyed carrots, and braised cabbage, a refreshingly sweet palate cleanser. Also couldn't skip the scotch egg with piccalilli, which is also my first time with it. It has a gentle acidity to balance the sweet honey mustard, with cauliflower, pepper and shallots inside that balance the savory taste of the scotch egg. The crust on the scotch egg is exquisite, with a satisfyingly crispy texture and a moist porky bite mixed with fennel seeds, black pepper and other spices that are elevated by the jammy richness of the egg yolk.
Great food, the servers remember their guests and always make you feel very welcome. The scotch egg is simply delicious order two! The sound system is great for watching sports like EPL soccer games. The 2nd floor is very cozy; the chair options makes for a relaxing visit.
We had a super nice brunch at Queen & Beavers, which is located right in front of the Chelsea. It has a very nice interior, and especially the wooden floor gave me a real feeling of „home“. If you look for crazy cappuccino matcha oatmilk combos you are not at the right place. Instead it feels like at my moms: you get a cute little mug with filter coffee and milk aside. Simply awesome! We had egg benedict with avocado, which was super delicious. The avocado was fresh, the egg at the perfect moment, and the presentation with the salad also really inviting. My dish had a strong note of lemon, which likely came from the avocado cream. This was a bit too much in my opinion. Service was really friendly, and prices are fine for a brunch. Be aware: Queen and Beaver shows footy (soccer). Premier League was on today.
Loved the food. Service was excellent. A little on the pricey side. Great atmosphere. Lovely English pub
Definitely worth a visit. We tried the full English and were pleasantly surprised. I did expect black pudding and similar more authentic items on the menu for an authentic British experience, but was left lacking a tiny bit. Pancakes were very fresh. I would visit this place again a month from now just for them. They were so good that they were devoured before we could think about taking a picture.
Had my 2nd bday dinner in this fancy pub last night. Been in here several times before the pandemic. Feels like Windsor castle😹. Food is still good but better when before the pandemic. Service is good but everything is expensive as usual. $12 for a pint of beer😿. Sunday roast was nice however.
When I stepped into this restaurant, it was like the time I visited an authentic pub in London. Right down to the types of dishes and utensils. I recommend the BEEF AND ONION PIE. Very tasty!! And their fish and chips is one of their signature items and it too was very good. One small note. When they are near capacity, they seem to be slightly understaffed. You may need to wait a bit to get some attention.
This place is too expensive for how rude the staff are.
Honestly ones of the best spots I found recently. Prices are more than fair. Everything tasted fresh and the bread is absolute heaven. Went upstairs and Yap is amazing host up there. Great recommendations and his service is absolutely amazing
I went there a while ago with my friend it was so great, had an amazing time. Service was excellent. Also if anyone can identify that drink in the picture, it would be so great. All I can remember is it tasting epic and having a cherry inside .
This is just such a nice place to chill right out, ... Check it out - youll love it
Lovely place with fabulous drinks
A very nice place to have drinks. Recommended.
I d been to the Queen and Beaver a handful of times before and always enjoyed it, but today I had an especially great experience. My stepfather and mother came into town for his birthday and to celebrate we were going to go Little Canada as a family outing. Before taking in that attraction we decided to have lunch at the Queen and Beaver. Because there were four adults me, my partner, my mom, and my stepdad as well as my four-month-old son in a stroller, we decided to eat well after the lunchtime rush. As soon as we walked through the doors we were greeted by Stuart, the host. He profusely apologized because he had just given away the last table. But then he reconsidered and said wait a minute, we might be able to rearrange some things. Sure enough, one pair of diners left, Stuart moved another pair, and we had a table big enough to accommodate all of us and have the stroller alongside. As usual, the food was excellent, the wait staff were friendly, and the ambience was warm and fun. I took one star off atmosphere because at one point it was so loud it was a strain to hear my family around our table, but the din served as white noise for my son to nap through most of the meal. Just an exceptional meal, thanks largely to Stuart s efforts.
Very cool spot! Nice staff.
Fish and chips were spot on. I would give a fifth star but I thought there could ve been one more piece of fish. The draft beer selection is solid.
Service is excellent. Chicken pot pie is on point. Stepping back in time to an old school pub atmosphere. Do not miss this one cheers!!
We had a group dinner for 14 in the parlour room. Great place - quiet. The menu is real pub food, as tasty as in the UK. Vegetarian options: Veg curry was good
Very nice pub. Food was outstanding for a Toronto pub. Nice central location too.
Actually I just call the restaurant the server attend the call and in reply she said good bye...I dont know they dont know how to react customer and any one call food is good but may be they need good staff for serving and attending call
A true old world charm
Authentic English food, very reasonably priced
Great brit pub in Toronto! Authentic mushy peas, and they bring you vinegar for the chips without you having to ask. LEGIT.
Very kind staff. Reserved a big table for 14 people and the crew working was extremely accommodating. Food came out perfect. Thank you for all the hard work.
Cozy pub with absolutely amazing food and drink options. A fantastic experience no matter if you there for drinks, apps or lunch/dinner. Highly recommended.
Read about this on a substack- friendly service and great beer!
Great bar. Got absolutely smashed on Snakebites watching the rugby. I found out about this place on Substack.
Loved this spot! The burger the beef and onion pie were beautifully done!
The fish and chips were amazing. The experience was good but then turned to exceptional because of this lovely employee named Christine. Ive worked in five star restaurants and hotels and I can honestly say that her kindness, professionalism, and warmth well surpassed any of my expectations. Thank you for making Blaises birthday an amazing one!
The food is amazing, but the environment could be better
The food was ok. I had the fish pie. The server was friendly and attentive
British style pub
The environment and vibes of the place was alright, probably the only thing I liked. The meal was mediocre at best, but was absurd for the quality, quantity and price.
I ve been going here for years. Excellent pub.
Quick service & amazing burger! Good texture, juicy, flavourful, and well balanced. Cant wait to have it again.
I only tried one dish so far English breakfast but its coolest place ever foods alright. 30-50 no drinks 10-15 a drink
Nice place, food is good. The staff was friendly.
Lovely little place. The food is always good. The English breakfast is very filling. My husband enjoyed the pancakes.
Excellent weather and beautiful place it could be the best dinner but the server was rude and the food cold. Great beers Vegetarian options: I m not sure Parking: Paid parking lot close by
Strange place, the staff treated us with attitude upon arrival. The food arrived cold, and the portions are tiny for the price. Go elsewhere.
Came here twice during visits to Toronto. The food and drinks are great, and the staff are friendly. One of the employees, gentleman with glasses, recognised me even though it had been a year since I visited
Lousy food...worse service. I came to the pub to watch a football match and sat in the upstairs bar. The first server that I met was very quick and polite, but I guess it was the end of her shift (approximately 4-430pm). The next server did not acknowledge me at all. She was serving the few other tables and cutting fruit (setting up the bar for the night shift), but it was not busy. She did not even look at me. I was sitting at the wood and had an empty glass for at least 15 minutes. I was the only one at the wood. When I ordered my next pint after finally flagging her down, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. She told me that it comes medium and asked if I was ok with this, and I answered, definitely! The burger (which is $28) was the smallest thing I have ever seen. I am ok paying the money if the food is good, but $28 is still a stretch for a burger. Anyhoo...the burger is beyond well done. Just a pathetic burnt patty with barely any cheese or bacon. Do you think I got a quality check? I did not, else I would have voiced my concerns. No one asked me how it was, how I was, or if I wanted a refill. Just took my plate without a word. So I paid and left. Disappointed. Still left a decent tip, because Im not an ass. Poor food. Poor service. Very disappointing.
Excellent food and amazing service. Great pub upstairs to watch sports. Would repeatedly come back
Was recommended this place by my hotel when I visited Toronto and it didn t disappoint. I was craving British style pub food on my and my hotel concierge recommended this place right around the corner. I was greeted by a hostess who was very attentive and friendly. Our server was also great and the food and atmosphere definitely scratched the pub fare itch that I had. It s also a very sports friendly bar vibe to it. I ll definitely be returning next time I m in the city.
One of my absolute favourite burgers in the city. Must try.
Had an amazing experience; food, service, and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for a classic, proper English pub!! They also carry Cask ale, which is hard to find in the city :)
Service was fantastic. Food was great.
Great Brit pub with an amazing hostess Christine who made room for our friends after wedding brunch with no reservation(even though they were busy). Nice servers and good food, would recommend. If I had to make any suggestions I would have them include more gluten-free options such as bread..
Went during happy hour, very quiet as it was early in the afternoon/evening. Special pricing was nice, drinks and food were less than average. Aperol Spritz was flat, Moscow Mule came in Collins glass and Scotch eggs were just above room temp. Very clean, nice ppl working there. Would try again.
I was moved to write a review because my sandwich was just that GOOD! I wasn t sure what to order and wondered if gravalox was a bad order, but it was one of the best I have had. The bread was so fresh and worth the carbs. The cream cheese and beets were a brilliant accompaniment. And the side salad was simple, fresh and delicious. My son had the burger and fries and was equally impressed.
Great food, really nice atmosphere and great service.
Good burger, good beer, cozy atmosphere
Delicious! Loved the cozy vibe and the friendly staff. Highly recommend the Scotch egg alongside a Black & Tan. Waited a really long time for our bill and had to eventually get up and ask for it - only reason I docked a star.
We were a party of 8..I had the fish and chips which was delicious...definitely too salty..the portions for the Sunday lunch roast beef and burger were very disappointing based on the price..most of our party was disappointed
Superb spot that truly feels (and somehow smells) like a proper British Pub. The smell comment is not an insult.
The Queen & Beaver has been a must stop each time I ve come to Toronto for the past decade. It s one of the best burgers you ll get in Toronto and the atmosphere is great. Their other dishes are great too. If you want great pub food, you can t do better in downtown Toronto.
Absolutely incredible, pancakes were the best we ve ever had, the full English breakfast was 10/10. Would drive back here from Sudbury just for brunch.
Great place to visit, a must
Great pub. Food was good and they show Premier League Football
Great cask ale and a buzzing atmosphere, even on a Monday. Cant miss for authentic British vibe and drinks
Ran out of Sunday roast before 7 pm
All time favorite pub downtown! Burger is a real treat!
Great patio and food. A small oasis in a very busy part of the city! Great service too!
As true as an authentic British Pub gets, especially for the Bay Street corridor neighborhood. Can t go wrong with the food, scotch egg and Gouda chicken are both amazing but don t forget to pop by for brunch! One of the few places in the city that pours an authentic/ quality Black & Tan! (Besides them being Pesky Red Devils supporters.. great spot!)
Was a bit quiet but was still good none the less - great beers food and friendly service. Well worth a visit to watch some footy Food
Server Grace was amazing!!!! The burger has a little blue cheese the fries were custom made with just a perfect amount of salt. Gravy was light and tasty. Very happy with my mid day treat and hope to return soon! Very affordable
Nice atmosphere in a rustic old house. Service not overly friendly Food was good but the selection and combination of quisine was not to our taste ... friends seemed to like it. Kid-friendliness: Not particularly friendly to families with kids Wheelchair accessibility: Not at all friendly to wheelchairs or strollers ... or any person with mobility issues.
Higher end English pub dishes, tried the burger and fish and chips and both were really nice. Service was meh, our waiter didn t seem interested in providing a customer to remember at times he even seemed bothered
Amazing place to visit & spend quality time
The food was great, the atmosphere homey, and our server was a delight. We will definitely go back when we return to Totonto.
Breakfast was good, felt a little small, the beans were great, the sausage was small but tasty, the fried bread was outstanding, good eggs, good grilled tomato, mushrooms ok Service was good and inside is very atmospheric, outside some good spots with a quiet street
Great ambiance, delicious food, and friendly service make this restaurant a top choice.
Fantastic pub vibe. My wife and I were visiting for a pint. The best part was being able to have a traditional cask ale, which was delightful.
Excellent food and ambience
Great vibe, and cool upstairs bar
Favourite place for breakfast and brunch! If you re into football you can go up top on certain days and you can watch great matches! If you re not you can chill downstairs or on the patio. Very classy place and quite lovely. The food is awesome as well!
They have several patio options which is great on a hot summer day and you want a cold beer after work, relaxing with friends or gossiping with colleagues.
Sophie made our experience more than memorable! When you have service that good it just makes everything seem perfect!
Very cozy & lovely pub with all the Euro games while not crowded. Tried rarebit for the first time here and it was truly incredible. Well paired with the cured salmon for extra protein. Lost an earring there and retrieved it from the upstairs staff when I came to look for it. Only things to take a star off: no water refills and when I called about the earring, the lady said she didnt see it after a cursory look.
Some interesting starters to share.
Great time last week at Q&B, thanks to Christina who made our evening so much fun! Thank you!! Good food and fantastic deck. we will return.
Had an awesome brunch! The full English was the best I have had this side of the ocean or the other. Pancakes were amazing as was the hash. Highly recommend. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Kid-friendliness: Very nice to our kids
Really nice place to stop and watch the game on a hot June day. Beer and drinks were really cold, appetizers were excellent. Really felt at home being able to hang out and cheer on England! Food
Queen & Beaver is a charming, beautiful, pub with exceptional service. We had a conversation with our waitress (I cant remember her name, but I hope she sees this) about the perceptions Americans and Canadians have of each other. It was the longest and most interesting conversation Ive had with a stranger in years. The table next to us had a rather specific food allergy. The hostess checked with the kitchen to be sure the guest could enjoy a meal safely. I got the cheeseburger and my husband got the Sunday roast. Both were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. We will absolutely be back the next time were in Toronto.
Nice english pub, with good music and friendly bartenders.
Learn to talk to customers. The bartender was super rude and basically kicked us out of the place. I was shocked. And I work in restaurant business and I can say this was out of control. I will never be back. Edit: It would be nice if you could provide an e-mail so I can send more context , but I ll edit my original review, maybe this works. So my boyfriend came to your bar yesterday around 12 pm, I was in the car waiting for him to find a spot. His friends were there. He entered the bar, never been there before, and was trying to figure out where to sit. He was standing next to the bar for not even a minute when the bartender come to him and says: you can stay here, there s no room . That s it. He moved to another spot at the bar, still just trying to figure out where to sit, the bartender comes and says that he can t stay there. I m sorry, I work in restaurant industry and for me that is unacceptable. Customer service 101: the bartender could ask hi, are you here with friends? Are you waiting for someone? Can I help you? . Something like that. But no, just get out attitude. Ok. My boyfriend finally goes to his friends and tells them what happened and that the bartender is rude and all of that. The bartender comes to the table and starts picking up a fight withmy boyfriend saying: what, are you trying to run this place or what? I ve been here for 20 years and more stuff like that. For no reason at all! All he should do is to ASK the customer how can the place acomodate him! Thats is basic customer service. At this point obviously the customer is angry. And like all of that wasn t enough, the bartender is like what, are you calming down now or what? I don t know if I have to say how frustrating is that. A normal person would understand not to talk like that. You would probably ask why my boyfriend didn t ask for a manager. He was so angry that he didn t want to stay for one more minute in the bar. And even now he still doesn t want to write this review, but I want to because I am a restaurant worker and I care about stuff like this. There s more: after my boyfriend left, his friend texted him what the bartender said after he left: I would apologize to him if he would calm down So let me get this straight: you don t offer any help to the customer, you don t ask him anything, you tell him he can t sit in any place of the bar and still don t give him any options, you go after him when he is talking to his friends, you make him angry and after all that you tell him to calm down . I have nothing else to add.
Get the sunday roast its incredible! Staff are so kind and accommodating Reasonable pricing as well Food : 5/5
The beef and onion pie was delicious - but a bit salty.(Better not to oversalt and instead allow the diner to add if needed). My friends cheeseburger and chips platter was on the small side. I liked not being rushed by the waiter as Im a very slow eater. Food : 4/5
Stopped here for a drink and dinner. Great atmosphere and food was great. Good selection of drinks and service was awesome given how busy it was.
Amazing pub all around. We loved our experience!
Great spot. Will be back. British food is notorious for being well bad. Not here. Very impressed with the food. I ve had the curry and bangers and mash. Both were incredible. The cask ale was also fantastic. This is a new go to for me.
Food was good , a bit expensive. The vibe was A+
This is a superb pub with most excellent grub. Highly recommended! Great service too. One of a kind in downtown Toronto! Food : 5/5
Fish and chips had great - chips and fish was big and chunky. Kale salad was way better than I thought it would be. The upstairs balcony was great on a sunny day.
Wonderful friendly place, excellent choice of food
Queen & Beaver is a gastropub serving traditional British fare, it has a very comfortable environment to enjoy food and drinks. Staff were very attentful and friendly, and were always ready to assist. Food was classic British, with the Haddock and Chips one of their popular dishes. They also serve brunch as well as feasting menus for larger groups. Portion sizes were fair and pair well with their beers on tap.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. Will be back
Nice
Just drinks and apps on the front patio. Quick and friendly service. Good variety on the ploughman s platter.
Lovely pub with English theme & Canadian sports. Great choice of music playing. Exceptionally friendly staff & front of house , was made to feel welcome & appreciated our return visit. Beer good wine was good & food was amazing. Plant to choose from Well worth a visit. Highly recommend.
Good times,
Toronto doesnt deserve a gastro pub this good
My partner got sick bc of the burger last night.prob uncooked bacon and I had to return my margarita two times and no one said sorry I ve never seen my partner throw up like that before horrible horrible times :/ only good thing was fries and gravy at least.
We had our book club meeting in the little private area. Quiet so we could talk. Everybody enjoyed their meal and beverages. Wonderful venue.
This place had the most rude server I ve seen in Toronto. She not only got mad at us when we asked for the bill upon receiving our first drink but she also pushed us out of our table to seat somebody else as soon as we finished our drink.
June 16 2024 @7:30pm. Its very stuffy, dusty, has no air flow, and dirty. THE DUST COLLECTION ON THE BRITISH FLAG (in the stairway) was insulting. Fish and chips. Undercooked fish in overcooked batter. Chickpeas mash was dry paste confusion. I was warned not to order the beef wellington so instead ordered two, sunday roast dinners. Both were plentiful, great tasting and traditionally english. Top-up on water, check ups were scarce.
Best vibe! Great pub with 2 patios on the upper and lower level. Great spot for a bevy or 2 with friends. Highly recommend!
Adorable, welcoming restaurant with delicious food. Definitely a great place to check out when when youre in the area. Special thanks to the friendly staff and the lady that served us at lunch (Christine) for going above and beyond. Will be back!
Stay away from their Ceasar Salad, its insanely spicey - even if you like to eat spicey.Staff is friendly and great untill faced with a complaint, they have no idea how to handle it. Food : 2/5
We were killing time waiting for an event to start and stumbled into this place. So glad we did! The best vodka spritzer Ive ever had and a fresh twist on Brit pub food. The quaint room upstairs and the bartender made the experience absolutely perfect.
Nice British pub overall.
Excellent steak
A great classic English pub. You ll feel like you teleported to England upon walking in. Food is on the pricey side but it s solid. Great service. Food
A wonderfully atmospheric venue with a cozy and British pub style layout. Great spot for hanging out with friends for fun conversation. Bonus in that its also open just a little bit later than many other nearby spots.
I had no reservations, but as busy as they were, they found us a seat and only said youve got it until 6:30 PM. We had plenty of time for a beverage and a meal! They were SO accommodating! Ive never had a bad experience at this pub! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options on the menu!
We were treated very well here, never an empty glass and the food was delicious, portions large! Our server left half way through which sent the next lass for a loop but she managed!
Amazing food and service. Very British! I even like the dishes they use. Very traditional. Their food is way better than average pub food. I like their curry. They have three kinds. All is good. This place is a no brainer for a drink or snack or meal.
Great Euro football venue with genuinely friendly staff and clientele...
I had the special chicken pie which was tasty but unfortunately had a few bones in it. Good beer selection. Service was excellent, the front room was a bit noisy but not unexpectedly so.
Queen and Beaver is a Toronto gem! Our server, Sarah, was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and gave us excellent drink and dinner recommendations! She is kind and has the most gentle spirit. What a sweetheart!! Compliments to the chef the food surpassed the pub food in England! We had a wonderful evening and are already planning our return. Cheers to many more enjoyable visits!
Wonderful brunch with really friendly service! I loved the full English breakfast that I ordered with fried bread which was rich and delicious. Will definitely be back! Food : 5/5
Ordered lamb curry - the worst I ve had.
Horrible place. Bartender grabbed my phone as collateral couldn t believe it. Don t go here, would never recommend. Never had a bar steal my personal property.
Portions are generous and the food was delish oh la la! Our waiter was super nice and friendly He absolutely made the experience better.
Stopped in for a pint (ok maybe more than one), but didn t expect to have the best scotch egg of my life as well!
Been here three times over the past year and had a fantastic time every time. Servers are awesome, decor great, vibe great.
Great place to relax and enjoy a pint and a tasty bite (not necessarily the most healthy), but definitely delicious.
Atmosphere: love the old pub vibe. A very cozy feel and the decor is top notch. Service: we ended up with a fellow named Grant who acted as though our existence was an imposition. After ignoring us for 20 mins and finally taking our order, the only insight he could give me on the menu was just reading the menu to me like Im illiterate. The man continued to ignore or talk over my party the whole time and I was left wondering what Id done to make him hate us so much. 0/5 for Service Food: I ordered the crispy salmon which was not only very salty but generally flavorless. There were other apps that we ordered that were great so Im sure the staff know how to cook, they just chose not to in this case. Overall, looks inviting but dont waste your time or money
Decent pub resto. However, I ordered fish and chips; more expensive and not as good as House on Parliament. But maybe that s what you have to pay to eat just off Yonge Street. Space upstairs is a bit dark. Food : 4/5
I really liked their pickled platter, lots of varieties. The meat patty in the burger is too dry, so its hard to eat the whole thing. Their fish and chips were good. Overall its a very chill bar to get some English food, wouldnt recommend their burger but definitely recommend their pickled platter.
Honestly I didnt get food here but my boyfriend and I came here before dinner at Barberians. And what a vibe! We went upstairs and I was immediately transported to a dark academia setting with cozy and lush areas for gathering. We snagged a seat on the red leather allowing us a full view of the room. 2 pints and several stories with the server later, we reluctantly left for our dinner res. And we will return as often as possible. I loved everything about the Q&B. 4/5 only because I didnt eat any of the food Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately its not. Stairs to enter and stairs to the upstairs bar.
This place is amazing, staff are friendly and the food is second to none. We went by there a couple nights for drinks in the upstairs pub and then had dinner on the third night in the main floor dining room. I am still craving the food!
I love the potato soup!
We were there in a Monday night, and we were alone in the first floor. There were no other customers. It has an old fashioned vibe. The food was very mediocre, the service was good. In general its worth to try.
A bit overpriced for an average-tasting food.
Sunday roast was great, enjoyed a lot!) Fish and chips: classics and was also good. What I did Not like: 1) waiter forgets to bring beers but asks how was the food. 2) after reminder waiter brings drink and immediately asks how was the food. Let people 5 min to eat!) Mostly lovely place, a bit pricy (50cad per person for main and a drink). Kid-friendliness: We saw some fathers came with kids 2-4 y.o. and they all enjoyed
I had brunch on the weekend and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice~ I had eggs benedict with salmon, and the seasoning was just right and the sauce was delicious, so I was satisfied!
Fantastic little pub in the heart of Dundas square.
It can be really lovely. The food and drinks are good. When the service lacks, everything feels more expensive, crowded and not as good. Went with a group of us recently on a short staffed night and we were jammed together at a table with very slow service. It can happen anywhere but that was my most recent experience. I d go again if invited. The burger is good.
The best brunch ever
Excellent restaurant, meat pies are to die for! Good service and atmosphere. Little expensive but reasonable for downtown Toronto
Restaurant is disrespectful of neighbors. Power washing the building at 11:30pm on a Monday night is not only illegal but also extremely disrespectful of anyone living in the area.
Order the beef croquettes, you won t regret it. Cozy pub, great vibes.
I really liked the layout of the pub. Loved the sofas and fireplace design. The environment invites conversations and community. The staff weren t that friendly, but I got introduced to a new drink that has become a staple for me. The grapefruit radler with a shot of gin. So good! I had a few food items: fish & chips; sliders; and more. I enjoyed them all.
Lovely English Pub, food is on point, just missing the Thames!
Landed from London and the experience here was authentic and genuine. Great people and service.
Excellent place for brunch! Great vibe and nicely quirky decor. Perfect place to meet old friends.
Rhis needs to be a 10 star. Fabulous staff. Cozy as fark atmosphere Food was phenomenal. They pour pints beautifully. Sigh. Sigh. Kid-friendliness: Super friendly
Tha atmosphere and the restaurant was really cool and gives you the feeling of the old country. The food was quite nice but the portions were rather small. The burger specifically was comically tiny and more of a thick slider. The meat pie was really good. The scotch egg wasnt my favorite. Overall its a good spot for small bites and beer while watching the soccer games but it is underwhelming for the price point
