Incredibly overpriced for potatoes rice and chicken.

Good was good- pork souvlaki served hot although a little chewy with rice and potatoes as is customary. Very good appetizers and esp Greek salad. Dessert was 3 rather flight calls with bot much flavour other than the sprinkle of cinnamon. Parking: It was busy and I parked on the street. Fairly easy to find.

Food was great! You definitely taste the difference between authentic Greek cuisine and fast food.

Ordered with Uber. HORRIBLE chicken in wine sauce. For $31 I would expect a chicken breast and not a drumstick/thigh with hardly any sauce on top and a horribly soggy skin. The potatoes were not the nice lumpy mashed potatoes, but big pieces of potatoes mixed with some mashed potato. Tasteless, Cold which is understandable because it was with Uber. The pork gyro wrap was not much better. There was more onion in it than there was meat

We went Saturday night and had Herald as our sever. He really took care of us. I had the sea bass which Herald recommended and it was delicious. They have live music and a belly dancer. We had an amazing night with the fun entertainment, amazing server and the owner who always makes you feel very welcoming. One of our favourite places to go. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Christina s on Danforth, and I can say it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely amazing every dish was delicious and expertly prepared. A special mention has to go to our server, Elena, who made the evening even more enjoyable. She was attentive, personable, and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. Elenas knowledge of the menu helped us make great choices, and her friendly, welcoming attitude made us feel right at home. Overall, Christina s on The Danforth is a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch food and service. I can t wait to return!

Great food..service and atmosphere

Went to this Greek culinary gem on the Danforth on Saturday. What an experience! Amazing food, generous portions, attentive kind staff. Chris the owner made us feel so welcome whenever he sees us. He took care of us to make sure the table we were in brought us closest to the entertainment and made sure our experience was top notch and even made sure to catch us before we left to make sure everything was perfect. We traveled two hours one way to have dinner and an evening of entertainment at Christinas and its well worth the drive. They not only offer authentic amazing Greek and Mediterranean food, they also provide entertainment each weekend. The belly dancer is extraordinary and even does a fire show. A must see! Even though we dont understand Greek the singers gave such riveting and engaging performances. This place is so busy and packed eveytime we come I would recommend booking a reservation. Its been two days since weve been there and we are already talking about when we will be coming back.

Popped in for lunch today. A warm and cozy spot out of the cold. It was almost empty, but we were warmly greeted by Herald who told us to choose where wed like to sit. The food was really delicious. I had moussaka and my husband had the pork souvlaki. One of the best moussakas Ive ever had with lots of meat and my husband really liked the pork too. Generous portions, we couldnt finish it all and took home leftovers. The dolmades were served warm and very yummy. Ive seen Christinas from the road before but never eaten there until today. We will definitely be back. Reasonable prices for tasty food with friendly staff. Thanks for the dessert Herald!

The best Greek restaurant ever. The service is always great. The food is so delicious that you will be a repeat customer like myself. The best greek salad hands down. If your on the Danforth give this place a try, I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

My family and I had a great time for lunch here. The food was super tasty and authentic. We recommend the dips and salads (we didn t try any of their meat mains). Our server Tommy was great. I was deeply disappointed with my take out order. Let me start off by saying the food was really good and the servers were super friendly but the portion I received was pitiful! I paid $27 for a souvlaki dinner, it should have been a decent size. As I was waiting for my order I saw them coming out of the kitchen with great big plates of food.....so I thought to myself, ok its a bit expensive but at least it will be a good portion. I was shocked when I opened it at home! Not to mention pissed !! I really should have taken a picture. I wont be back. This restaurant has to do better!! That was bad

I ordered the classic pork souvlaki for dinner with friends. The meal was great in terms of portions and taste. Their salad was tasty with the dressing and feta cheese. The only critique was the atmosphere. The music was too loud to have a conversation while eating. We asked the waiter 2 times to turn down the music before they lowered the volume.

TOMMY WITH THE SPARKLING BLUE EYES! What an experience at Christina s! The food was absolutely incredible- from the butterfly lemon shrimp to the saganaki to the lamb and chicken souvlaki! All delicious and fresh! The side salad had the most sweet and juicy cherry tomatoes and Tommy s attention to detail with his customers is unmatched. We came to early dinner with friends before we were going to a show. The food was excellent and fresh and good value which is a bonus as eating out is expensive lately. We started with the 3 dips, calamari and of course the must have saganaki, aka OPA Cheese appetizers. So delicious. The pork souvlaki was really tasty. The rice was ok (Im not a huge fan of rice to begin with) the potatoes arrived cold but tasty. Hense the 4/5. Mom loved her Calamari Entree and Portions were more than enough. Ok so I got a chicken souvlaki and I have mixed feelings. First the food- Tziki sauce was good. Unique flavor but still recognizable. Chicken was also good. Soft and tender, lightly seasoned. Potatoes very solid, very good flavor. Rice was absolutely terrible, dry and lacking flavor. Overall a unique take on a traditional dish but the rice, usually my favorite part, really let me down hard. The restaurant itself is also really well decorated and themed but unfortunately I made the mistake of takeout. The take out portions are the same as any other quick serve Greek place but of course you dont get any of the experiential part of dining which is why the $30 price tag really burns. If it wasnt for the rice I wouldnt have felt a bit ripped off but I really dont think its right to charge a full $30 for a portion that is no larger than other places and when the food is not *quite* worth the extra amount. $25 and I would have been fine with it- the food was certainly better than a quick serve place and on the whole it was very good, unfortunately just not *that* good.

Horrible experience at this restaurant today. We were a group of 6 and were seated for 3 hours in total for lunch time. Service was extremely slow and when I politely asked after 1.5 hours of waiting, when our food would arrive, I was told, when it s ready. My husband ordered a coke while his food was being brought out and the waiter brought the coke to him with the bill. The lunch menu was the dinner menu with insane prices. Almost $30 for a mediocre chicken souvlaki plate during lunch time. Menus were dirty and outdoor tables were severely damaged. Food is nothing special. You re better off going to Pantheon. Better food for the price you re paying.

The waiter was truly great! A bright, older gentleman. Very warm and friendly welcome. Very positive, bright and service oriented. The food was better than I imagined. Lot;s of salad, and the lamb was exceptionally tender and mouth watering. The chicken souvlaki was great as well. We also ordered olives dripped in olive oil. Looking forward to going back.

Christinas Restaurant on the Danforth is a cozy spot offering delicious Greek cuisine with a homestyle feel. The Lemon Shrimp and grilled eggplant were fantastic tonite. The service iwas beyond excellent, especially when Tommy, one of the staff members, brings his warm, welcoming charm to your table. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is exciting making our multi-birthday celebration simply special. Great house-made dips and fresh pita bread to get you started. Been going there for 30 years, just gets better.

Christina s is a Toronto institution- Boasting 55 years of incredible service on the Danforth, Christina s has the most incredible star studded history, but you are immediately made to feel like family. The food is incredible, authentic, and unmistakably made with love. Tommy, our server, made us feel immediately home and he very generously gave us a mini tour and regaled us with stories of the restaurants past. THIS hospitality is what gives a restaurant like Christina s the longevity and a lasting legacy in TO. People like Tommy are the heart and soul of an industry we too often take for granted. We ordered the grilled octopus, it had a good flavour but didnt have the right firm texture. Solomos(salmon) was a bit overcooked and mild in flavour and had to add salt. Lamb souvlaki was good but rice was bland. Service was good and attentive with a nice atmosphere.

Perfect service, Tommy was so professional, had my shy daughter smiling laughing and made everyone comfortable. The food was equally as good, fish cooked to perfection, wife s pasta was cooked to perfection. I recommend this place to anyone, any family. Great place. Battling with the fly wanting my bread was entertaining. I noticed in the reviews if the names were Greek the owners responded with their apologies for the bad food and bad service. Interesting.

Not too fancy. Saganaki and souvlaki main was delicious and sweet, tzatziki however had a VERY strong garlic taste. The space there is a bit tight and packed but very charming. Belly dancing and live music was a nice touch!

Raw kalamari, tough lamb still raw and huge day old potatoes, so undercooked impossible to eat. My worst dining experience ever. Had to run to the loo when I got home.

Just a lazy Saturday afternoon, strolling along the Danforth and we stopped in for a drink and to watch people strolling by. We were greeted by the Mayor of the Danforth, Tommy. We had a few snacks, a couple of drinks and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was our 3rd visit to Christinas and wont be our last. Amazing spanakopita...probably the best Ive ever tasted, even better than my moms. And Tommy? Hes the best! Ask for him by name. He knows everyone and makes you feel like youre very special. After a great boxing workout at Maximus Boxing Club, you have to stop by at Cristinas on the danforth to try their saganaki cheese and chicken souvlaki, and enjoy performance from a dancer

Very disappointed - it was too loud and the dinner felt rushed. My mains came out while we were eating hors deouvre - they took them back after being told. When the other mains came mine followed and it was cold - that is a joke - sorry but they need to do much better if they want me back...

Why do I give Christinas one star? Because at the end of the meal, we were RIPPED OFF by the waitress! How unfortunate. Its also my fault for not scrutinizing the bill sufficiently. Caveat Emptor! I was attending a family group birthday party at Christinas and knew that the 3 people I was paying for had consumed approximately $100 worth of food. Add to that 1/2 litre of house red and a glass of house wine, I believe the bill should have been around $140 before tax. Thats expensive cheap wine, but thats how things are. The reason I dont know precisely is because the waitress showed me the bill and then took it away again as she keyed in the total to the credit machine. I remarked to my brother-in-law, to whom she did the same thing, its odd shes taking back our receipt. Only later did I understand the reason: because we were a large group, a tip was automatically applied, yet I didnt get time looking at the bill to see this. As a result, our $103 food order and 3 glasses of house wine ended up costing me $208.54. I enjoyed the food, but the petty larceny at the end of the evening spoiled it for me. My question is, was the extra $30 you got from me worth the cost of nobody I know ever setting foot in your restaurant again?

If you are in between a few different Greek restaurants in the Danforth, come to Christinas and meet Tommy. He does it all! He was our server, our bartender. He surprised us with some delicious bread with greek olive oil and told us let me bring you some wine, can i surprise you? Not only was the wine delicious, it was crisp and cold, just the way we like it. This guy is full of energy and personality and even when he had the whole restaurant to himself on a Friday lunch, he gave us the full 100% service that everyone deserves. You can just tell that every customer around you loves him and he really makes the atmosphere amazing. The food on top of it all was the cherry on top. We had three dips and the Greek fries and we are leaving extremely happy customers. We even made a reservation to come back on Sunday. You are in for a great experience when you come here!

I am disappointed with the quality of food. The waiter was great, he was always available and professional. They ran out of pita bread to serve before our meal, so our waiter cut up some bread slices and added butter to make up for the pita bread basket. It was nice of him but not the same. We ordered a Greek salad as an appetizer, and two main dishes. The salad was awful, and obviously not fresh. The main dishes were ok, cant complain. Nothing to brag about. We had the fish, and Lamb souvlaki dinner. Both dishes were ok. This is not the Christinas I remember. This used to be my favorite restaurant for Greek food, I used to always recommend Christinas to all my family and friends, now it is a completely different place, different experience.i suppose the old saying applies here, Back in the day

Sat on the patio last night and had a great experience! Service was attentive, tables were clean, and most importantly the food was AMAZING. Complimentary baguette and garlic butter was a really nice touch.

amazing service from tommy!! made my brunch experience nice. He catered to me served me a nice seafood pasta and it was everything. It was just a nice energy from start to finish. i ll be back fisshherrrr ps it s not common to mention but the restroom space was super clean.
