It was the best delicious calamari I ve had in Toronto. Highly recommend it.

Had made a day of reservation for 2 and they were really accommodating despite being full from 6pm on. We arrived early and were given a wonderful table. Service was great - steady and proactive but not hovering. Taramasalata was delicious as was the spanakopita. Looking forward to returning - and this time we ll book in advance!

This place is as authentic as it gets, service was impeccable, there was a small wait owner ensured us wed get a table soon, as soon as we ordered the salads came, as soon as you finished a plate someone picked up, the food is best greek food Ive ever had! This is a smaller family setting restaurant but Id highly recommend it.

We dined there last night and the food, was amazing, the service and ambience was great. Would definitely recommend this place and will be going back for sure!

Food and Service perfect

We had the pleasure of eating at Pantheon tonight. The food was delicious, fresh and served efficiently. The service was impeccable. The servers and owner checked on us frequently and were very helpful and responsive. All of our meals were flavourful and cooked to our liking: saganaki, dolmades (sp??), lamb, salmon, chicken souvlaki and NY steak. We would definitely eat here again. Parking: There is a fee parking lot on the north side of Danforth, 35 Erindale road I think, about 2 blocks west of Pantheon. There is street parking if you can get some.

Great environment and perfect home made food

My go-to spot whenever I m in Toronto. I love the grilled mix, unbelievably juicy and packed with flavor. Each bite was seasoned to perfection and the freshness of salad made my whole meal even better. Staff were lovely and courteous and made the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. Mr. Amin surprised us with a complimentary dessert, saffron ice cream omg BEST I ve ever had in Toronto! So rich and creamy with the delicate hint of saffron. If you re looking for authentic Greek food with incredible service, Pantheon is the place to be. Can t wait to return every time I m in the city!

Absolutely loved celebrating my birthday at Pantheon! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a family gathering. The owner of resturant was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and the food was delicious. I strongly recommend this place.

Probably one of the worst meals and restaurant experiences my family has had in years. We decided to try the lamb which not only was tasteless but it came with a hair. Then we ordered Chicken Slouvaki and it came with a hair as well! The icing on the cake was that they then decided to charge us full price for everything. You are literally in Greek town. Go some where else and pass on this restaurant.

This restaurant is hands down one of the best Ive visited. The staff is super friendly, and the music sets a great vibe. It gets really crowded, so booking ahead is a good idea but its totally worth it, especially with the amazing food they serve. No complaints at all. We will definitely be back for more!

As a repeat customer, I was once again amazed by the service, quality, and food at Pantheon. The servers and owners are all very friendly and make you feel at home. We absolutely love this place! The lamb chops are always perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We usually order the lamb chop, pork, or chicken souvlaki, along with the avgolemono soup and Dolmadakia everything is always delicious! We ve been here at least seven times and have brought different friends to try it out, and everyone loves it. Sometimes they even surprise us with complimentary honey cakes, which is a lovely touch! It can get pretty packed at night, but that s because the food is amazing. The new owner, Amin has really done a great job. **Must Try:** The saffron ice cream is a standout!

We ordered two dishes which in my opinion were quite average. Not sure why the high ranking. The food quality doesnt quite match the price. Service was good and polite. Nothing to complain about. The quality of ingredients was good. This may be more of a chef thing.

Disappointing. Greasy, salty food. Ive been here several times and enjoyed it. This time I did not. It seems that they changed owners and it shows.

The service was excellent, especially during the birthday celebration. One of the staff members surprised us by singing Happy Birthday, which made the evening even more special. The owner himself made sure to check in with us whenever he could, ensuring that we were well taken care of. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the personalized attention from both the staff and the owner made our night truly memorable. We can t wait to return!

Richie was our server who was amazing

Outrageously over priced, small portions, mediocre taste. The salad you get at Jimmy the Greek is better and half the price. Two pieces of octopus on half a cup of flavourless salad and one olive for $30, can t believe how busy this place is. The table next to us was also unhappy with their meal.

Pantheon Restaurant has been my favourite for years for authentic Greek cuisine, but when John, the owner retired, I was concerned that the overall experience would change. I am happy to say that the chef, the friendly staff and the recipes have not changed. Pantheon continues to be the best place to enjoy a Greek lunch or dinner on the Danforth. I just wanted to extend my thank you to the owner ! For providing such excellent food and service. The food was excellent with just the right amount of flavour. They char the meat perfectly, every other Greek place I ve gone too fails to accurately make a chicken souvlaki meal, but here was one of the best I ve had ! A true delight. We got the grilled platter for 2... would love to see move veggies in that item Really liked the octopus, but not the squid, which seemed a bit overcooked. The potatoes were nice The service was really not there... kinda uncomfortable seeing how the manager treated one of the servers

I hadn t been here for quite some time. A special occasion brought to relook at the Pantheon. I pleasantly please with the food, service and atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Vegetable Souvlaki was very good. Gigantis and hot peppers were excellent.

Expensive and underwhelming. Our main waiter was lovely, but support staff were not. All the food was very average and overpriced for what you get. Heavy on the oil and lacking flavour. Plate of assorted dips did not come with pita -- apparently we were supposed to use our hands. Greek salad felt like an Olive Garden salad with a sprinkle of feta. Who makes a Greek salad with lettuce? Looking for good Greek food? Keep walking.

My friends & I had a wonderful time during our recent visit at Pantheon Restaurant. We were a party of 4 and arrived on a Saturday night after a concert, 20 minutes before the restaurant closed. The owner was so kind and without hesitation he brought us to a table. Our server Kevin was fantastic and made us laugh throughout our meal. He even complimented us with delicious baklava for dessert. This was a our 1st visit to Pantheon, but it wont be our last. Thanks everyone for a terrific time!

Ordered lite plate ( greek salad with chicken) and bougatsa for dessert. Great service, delicious food, convenient location and very comfortable outdoor setting, ideal for summer. If you ask me one thing that might need improvement: please lower the price for greek coffee. :)

Great spot with great food. Our waiter was really nice, but forgot half of what we ordered, perhaps because we ordered a variety of many appetizers rather than any mains. That turned out being fine though because he also didnt put the missing items on the bill & the portions were larger than expected even the small skewers. Definitely a good spot for eating tapas/izakaya style. Id go again.

Probably the worst service Ive had in a long time. Came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Family of 5. The servers were downright surly, except for 1. Like, retire if you hate your job and people so much. And we are a very nice, agreeable, polite family that respects any staff anywhere. One kept repeatedly reaching across my chest to place and remove dishes from the diner 2 seats away from me at a round table. I had to keep leaning back. First, anything could drop into my food because he reached with his whole body across my plate. Second, personal space please! Any server knows you never reach across a diner. He could have easily walked around the table to get to the far diners setting with access from the diners right side, which is basic server protocol. The food was run-of-the-mill. Expensive, but it is The Danforth. Also, the music was loud for an empty restaurant in the middle of the afternoon. It should be background, but we had to talk over it. Im sure my brother tipped well, because he would tip well if the waiter spit in his food. Good thing I wasnt settling up that time.

One of the BEST restaurants in Toronto. I ve been coming here for almost 10 years and it never fails to disappoint. The grilled calamari is the best you will find in danforth, literally no competition. They give you complementary dips and cake, and the service is always great.

The food was ok, a bit oily for my taste. Service was a bit harsh but it seemed to be the normality, not something with us. I think the food was overpriced for the amounts. We got a pita, one fired cheese and one fish dish each. Two small beers and two Diet Coke. The bill with tips was $175 Food

I have been coming to Pantheon for over 25 yrs and loved the authentic Greek food. We cane back tonight after over a year and we were shocked at the prices - everything has doubled in price. I know things are more expensive but this was crazy. The quality and portions were not what they once were - very disappointing. I don t mind paying a bit more for food but not when you double the price and give less. No thanks.

Made Reservations at 8.00pm on Saturday and was Greeted with smile and table was all ready. We ordered 7 different dishes and all was fantastic Specially the Calamari. Loved it. Have to go back in 2 weeks. What a memorable night.

Had a delicious dinner at Pantheon. There are so many Greek restaurants in Greektown but we are glad we chose this one! The service was so warm and friendly I felt at home walking in! All the workers were attentive and service was prompt. Had the shrimp dinner and it was amazing! Very good flavour with fresh ingredients and huge shrimp. Was there last night for a family dinner. reservations were at 6:30pm. We waited half hour before they took our appetizer order, while wating ,they also took our Entree orders, everthing came at 8:30pm. Entrees did not have rice, potatoes Greek salad or tzatziki as is customary with all Greek Entrees. Food quality has dropped from the last visit. Turns out , its now owned by some guy from Dubai, and the staff is his people. I noticed we werent the only table waiting unreasonably long for orders. MY advice is get back the old staff, double up staff at peak hours, such as last night, and DONT try to cut corners by being cheap with rice, potatoes, and tzatziki, and wanting to charge extra for it. Greek food has a certain standard and way of being served. If you continue like this , you wont be around very long. I, for one am not coming back.

Tried to go here at 9:48pm on a Friday night after seeing a show at danforth music hall and they turned us away saying they re closing. I pointed out Google says they re open until 11pm and they said that s wrong they ve never been open that late for 20 years. More than likely they wanted to close shop early on a Friday night. What a joke.

me and my family, come here frequently for birthdays as a tradition since 10+ years ago. safe to say that this restaurant is a staple and has yet to let me down with their food quality. if your looking for solid Greek food this is the place to come, the atmosphere is beautiful for an intimate get together or date. sitting outside during the summer is a pleasure, the service is always on par, everything at this restaurant truly feels worth it. i have not been to many of the Greek places in the area, but this one never disappoints, so it will remain my go to from now on! the chicken souvlaki is always good, so is the spanakopita, the pastas, the beeftekia is very good and filling, even the salad and the pita and dips they provide is very good, 10/10 would recommend! :)

It had been a while since my husband and I dined in at my fave Greek Restaurant on the Danforth, Pantheon Restaurant. Wed had takeout through COVID but nothing beats dining in. Under new management, the food, service and atmosphere remain second to none. We had a great time and appreciated the efforts by management and staff to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. Thank you! Will be back for lunch next week, with friend who is also a fan, and look forward to great food, service and atmosphere!! Oh, recommend you make reservations! We came in on a Saturday night with 6 adults and 4 kids under 7 without reservations. They rearranged some things and were able to accommodate us within a few minutes. Everything we had was fantastic! The service was great and the ambiance was wonderful.

Disappointing Dining Experience at Pantheon: Lack of Genuine Hospitality and Service Arriving for a late lunch around 2:00 PM, Pantheon Restaurant in Toronto was bustling with around 30 to 40 patrons still enjoying their meals. Despite not having a reservation, we were promptly seated at a table at the very back of the restaurant, revealing its narrow and elongated layout akin to a lengthy hallway. While the food quality was satisfactory, if not slightly above average, the prices leaned towards the higher side, which seems to be the norm in Toronto. We appreciated the tablecloth and bread service, but what truly disappointed was the lack of genuine hospitality and attentive service. With only one waiter managing the entire restaurant, along with occasional assistance from the manager, the level of service fell short of expectations. The waiter appeared overwhelmed, spending minimal time with each table, barely taking more than a few seconds to attend to our needs throughout the meal. Moreover, the claim of a broken credit card terminal at the end of our meal, resulting in a cash-only payment requirement, left a sour taste. Although we managed to scrape together enough cash, witnessing other guests effortlessly paying by card heightened our dissatisfaction. Attempts to express our discontent were met with indifference, as the waiter failed to acknowledge our presence or concerns. This experience left us feeling like mere assembly line products rather than valued patrons. Suggestions for improvement are clear: honesty about technical issues, adequate staffing to provide genuine hospitality, and ensuring timely service. Despite previous positive experiences, this disappointing visit has left us reluctant to return to Pantheon Restaurant in the future.

It was packed on a Sunday at 6:30pm with a line out the door, but all of their staff and servers were accommodating, helpful and attentive. Very impressed with how smooth service was, the timing of courses and the friendly demeanour considering how busy they were. The food was great across the board, both with quality and flavour. A warm neighbourhood atmosphere where familiar faces greeted each other. Will definitely be returning.

Its no wonder he chose Pantheon for his culinary adventures; the food truly surpassed all expectations. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic Greek flavors and expertly crafted. Pantheon has undoubtedly set the bar high for Greek cuisine in Danforth. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone seeking exceptional food, cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service. Five stars without hesitation!

Best Greek food ever! Quick friendly service.

The hubby and I ordered the Pantheon Hot Combo for 2. It was the perfect amount for us and it did not disappoint. The platter was beautifully presented, very tasty and consisted of: grilled octopus, grilled squid, sausage, stuffed grape leaves, spanokapita and potatoes. We had a Greek beer, it was a clean barley beer. Service was quick and attentive. They made sure we were not short on drinks and water. The restaurant filled up entirely by 6:30pm on a Saturday night. It was fun to see many table ordering the saganaki (flaming cheese). All and all, it was a fun night out! Make a reservation to avoid disappointment! Parking: Street parking on Danforth, Green P parking lots around, or free parking on nearby residential streets

Last Sunday, on Greek Easter, my family and friends decided to try out Pantheon restaurant. Although it usually closed for Greek Easter every year for the past 27 years, this time it was open for this special occasion. We were a group of six and started with some grilled calamari and fries, which were absolutely delicious. The flavors were unlike any calamari wed ever had in Ontario. For the main course, we went for the roast lamb and fish, both cooked to perfection. Despite the busy day, the service was quick and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and beautiful, adding to our overall enjoyment. We left feeling happy and satisfied, ready to recommend Pantheon to everyone. Just remember to book ahead as it can get busy.

The Greeks and the Persians have a storied history of conflict and conquest which now apparently includes the Pantheon restaurant. Yes, it s true, Iranians now run Pantheon. The good news: the food is still amazing. I guess they kept the same kitchen staff. The not so good news: the little things that made the Pantheon the Pantheon (e.g. crazy bad singing waiter, complimentary honey cake) are no longer.

We went to Pantheon for dinner and had a great time! Our server Kevin was very professional and attentive. We ordered scallops, saganaki, and calamari, everything was flavourful and ingredients were fresh. Highly recommend!

Tasty food, great service and reasonable prices. The Melitzanosalata was delicious, authentic Greek eggplant dip, creamy and very flavourful. Equally delicious was the Spanakotiropita, with its flaky pastry filled with fresh spinach and feta cheese. Finally the Light Piato grilled chicken, skillfully seasoned and served atop a bed of vibrant grilled salad, was capturing the essence of the Mediteranean cuisine.

This restaurant is the time capsule of proper service and care for the patrons that we all miss so much. The atmosphere is what it used to be on the Danforth before the Covid and economic decay. It is busy, cheerful, and optimistic. No shortcuts. The menu is a bit complicated due to some dishes being served both as an appetizer and as dinner. But! The service! Let me tell you about the service. It was the first time we came for dinner. I made a reservation. You should, too. The place was packed. Immediately, we were embraced as VIPs. We felt like a part of the family. Most people around us spoke Greek. Thus, confirming the quality of the food served. The constant, non-intrusive, somewhat playful attention to our little table by the entire team was incredible. They really make you feel like a star. Special thanks to our ninja waiter, Shawn! He was funny, fast, respectful, and charming. He always showed up out of nowhere with the right question, comment, order, or beverage. The food was the cherry on top. My order wasnt at par, but they made sure it was fixed. Without me complaining. It was like they read my mind. (They grilled the octopus to a proper state for me). Thank you for a fantastic evening, Pantheon! We shall be back :)

An outstanding place, perfect in various aspects. Lovely ambience, a great combination of brilliant Greek culture and cuisine mixed with an amazing style and taste. Gourmet food and drink, with courteous, attentive, friendly and welcoming staff, mostly seasoned people who have worked there for a long time. They do their best to preserve the tradition of this marvellous place in addition to providing new things and interesting services. Amin who recently took over as the new owner and manager has done a great job in keeping the well-established reputation and identity of this place along with devising novel ideas. He also combines diverse elements of other cultures and cuisine. All in all, an excellent spot comprised of homey space and professional service. Two thumbs up.

Went in for an early family Easter dinner. The place was the busiest Ive ever seen. Still got fantastic service and great food. The simple yet delicious 10oz grilled salmon was probably one of the best Ive had. Absolutely perfect crust, and fresh. The chef here knows his stuff. My sister got moussaka, and it was almost as good as my Moms! My daughter (who never eats leftovers) took everything home that she couldnt finish. Thats saying a lot.

Always a favourite of ours! We have been going here for about ten years and the food is always great, the service fast and efficient. We couldnt get a reservation at first because it is so popular but they squeezed us in . We were having a late celebration of my dads 89th birthday and they gave him a cake, sang him Happy Birthday and he was loving the attention! Thank you for a great evening...we will always come back! PS. The Garides Saganaki is the bomb!!

Real family type restaurant. I drove from Mississauga to be here. I had octopus and my wife had to sea bream. The fish was really fresh and tasty. My octopus was to die for.

Fantastic Creek takeout wonderful staff

I ordered a few meals from Pantheon for the first time, not too long ago via Uber. The food was delicious, but I was disappointed as I had had a lingering craving for lamb, and had ordered a single lamb chop to accompany my entrée and it was missing from my order. I reported to Uber, who then gave me a hard time and refused to refund me for the missing item. The next day, I contacted the restaurant to ask about the chop, and it was confirmed it had been missed by accident. I was told by the person on the phone, that they would send me a lamb chop the next time I placed an order with them to help rectify the issue. Fast forward to yesterday evening; I placed another order with them and had left a reminder on the notes of the order about the missing chop. Well how absolutely surprised was I when I received my order, and included was not one BUT TWO big portions of perfectly grilled lamb, along with a big square portion of their honey cake! It was delicious by the way! I cannot rave enough about how absolutely delicious the food is here, but on top of that, their customer service is next to none. Just quality on top of quality. Amazing and authentic Greek food here, and the staff and customer service is just premium. I highly recommend.
