Real Greek Gyros in Toronto

The food is so delicious! We tried it and we went back two days later because we were craving more! Other Greek food in the area doesnt compare at all.

Gyros are good. The portions are pretty generous too.

Good food. Good price. I like. I come again. The chicken gyro wrap is really good and bang for your buck. Edit: They are still charging tax despite the the 2 month break from the government. Disappointing. Changing from 5 to 3 stars.

Good food and friendly service. The salad, pita and tzatziki were delicious. I wish there was a vegetarian option. They offered to make me a wrap without meat, but said they d still have to charge for a meat wrap. Halloumi and a veggie platter would be fabulous additions to the menu.

The worst place on queen, I went there for Uber pick up waited around 20 minutes and they were not able make the order ready. They need to respect people time. Try not to visit this restaurant they will kill your day.

As a restaurant owner in the naborhood I am always looking to try something new and I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the food and the portions were incredible. I had a half chicken half pork gyros with fries and it was amazing. Wanted to replace my fries with lemon potatoes but changed my mind last minute, to my surprise when I opened the bag I found an order of complimentary lemon potatoes. Definitely recommend. Thanks for the great experience

Their gyros are better than the ones in Greece When my friend told me this, I knew i had to try this plade for myself. Five years of travelling through Greece for work, trying the best gyros spots along the way. Believe me when I say that this place trumps them all in both flavour and portion. The Bougatsa deserves a special mention as well. Would the Real Greek Gyros please stand up? Bravo!!!

I ve been going to Real Greek Gyros for lunch every day for the past few months, and it has consistently been an amazing experience. The food is excellent always fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Their gyros are among the best I ve ever had, and the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. What makes this place even more special are Dimitri and Margarita , they are lovely who always greet me with warmth and kindness. They ve created not only a fantastic dining spot but also a welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back daily. If you re looking for real, delicious Greek food, this is the place to go!

The meal deals we got from Uber eats were quite big in portions. However, Im not sure if it was to my taste. Potatoes were very sour and the meal consisted of a lot of rice, not as much chicken, which tasted pretty good. I also found a product sticker on a piece of vegetable in the salad.

More authentic than anywhere on the Danforth. Can t wait to try the orange cake. Huge portions but a bit light on the salad dressing

So I only get them three stars because I went into the store myself two times and I got myself chickens souvlaki dinner, which was amazing. The chicken was cooked on point. The portion was on point other than the fact that the Greek salad was definitely short on toppings. Only one slice of tomato maybe one slice of cucumber. And feta cheese was definitely less than, 1/4 of a teaspoon of feta cheese. Otherwise the , The flavor, the portion and the chicken was definitely cooked on point. But when I ordered an Uber eats so far 3 times, the portion is less than the amount that I received when I walked into the store. The salad is almost nothing on the salad except lettuce, the chicken is just chicken. Does not even have brown to the chicken, Almost pink received two slices of potatoes. Overall, the portion size is far more less than you would receive when you walk into the store. And of course, the prices are more expensive than you would pay when walking into the store. so if they made it accordingly, maybe they would get a five star from me. I received the same food from Uber Eats that I received when I walked in. They would definitely receive five stars. I shouldn t receive food differently just because I m ordering through Uber eats. They are restaurant and they have a certain reputation to live up to. If they choose to accept orders through Uber Eats, they should , serve food if someone would get food.

A true neighbourhood spot you get nice, simple and fresh delicious Greek food - have tried both the Chicken Gyro Sammy and the Souvlaki with a side and it s consistently fresh, delicious and a great portion size and best of all a very reasonable price for a quick lunch sandwich or dinner plate.

This is the second time I came here and it s closed. It s telling me on the app that is closed at 3 AM and it s 11:40 PM.

If youre buying the Ubereats BOGO, heres what youre getting: 6 chicken or pork chucks for each box. If youre trying to go low carb, the deal is a carb bomb. The plastic Tupperware was fully loaded w/ rice and potatoes. 4 small garlic bread sticks & tzatziki sauce. a greek side salad & half a sauce cup of vinaigrette. Rather low protein for $12/box, but if this is not an issue, its overall okay.

Stopped by the place while wandering Queen street for some late night eats. We arrived only 20 minutes before closing and the food was phenomenal. I ate one chicken gyro and it filled me to the brim. The chicken was juicy, the pita tasted fresh and soft, and the toppings were delicious. They gave me this delicious meal for $10. If I lived in this area I would be grabbing a chicken gyro regularly at this establishment.

Massive Gyro, one of the best Ive had in the city, and $10 - very hard to beat, I very highly reccomend this spot. Came in on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised!

WOW, this is the best gyro I ve ever had in Toronto. I had the chicken Gyro, the meat was juicy flavorful, had a slight crunch and the wrap was warm and soft. Fries were perfect. It was the perfect wrap, needed time to process while I was eating it since it slapped so hard. 10/10 would recommend

Anyone saying the portions are small is eating too much food, these folks hooked us up with two full 2 Glad containers, side salads and some pita bread for $24. Couldn t finish all the rice, the bread was delicious, the pork was succulent, and the salad was fresh af. You can tell the greens were prepped less than 24 hours ago (normal business practice). New regular earned tonight.

Been here about five times now because the food is good, but not good enough to tolerate the terrible customer service and the rudeness of the staff. If you do decide to go here, I strongly recommend Calling ahead because their hours they have posted are not accurate. I drove from Scarborough at 10:45pm because the hours posted said they were open till midnight but when I walked in they said they were shutting down early and weren t serving food anymore.

The first time we went, the food was amazing. However, It has gone steadily downhill since opening (between my husband and I, we ve been about 5-10 times in total). The last time I went in the staff were rude, ignored my children and I, while we were waiting to order (not even a hello, and no one else was in the store, they were just cleaning). Food quality has also changed, the gyro meat was crispy and delicious at first, the last few times it s been a soggy mess. And every single time I ve ordered I ve asked for no onions, a very simple request, and each time my gyro has been LOADED with onions. Not mixed in, just a huge scoop of onions. It s not difficult to listen to your customers- sorry to say they won t last in this neighbourhood if these things don t improve. Danforth is not far!

With so many greek options around, this place is among, if not, the single best one around. Everything is flavourful, service is fast, and the patio is cozy too.

As a long time resident of this neighborhood, there has not been any Greek option for dining for a long time and so I was truly, truly looking forward to the opening of this restaurant. I took advantage of a BOGO promotional offer on UberEats and picked it up myself. 2 chicken souvlaki dinners. First and foremost, the portion size was very, very small. Not sure if that is due to BOGO offer but if so, they should state that explicitly in the details of the offer and the pictures used are misleading. Each dinner contained one skewer which had 5 SMALL cubes of meat (~1.5cm). Most souvlaki meat in town are about 1.5-2x as big, even the fast food chains. The salad was very small as well. It tasted fresh. The feta cheese used did not taste authentic however in my opinion. The bread that came with it IS bread. This is not an issue of quantity but of authenticity. I would have preferred the authenticity of PITA and not bread that is similar to a baguette with sesame seeds (or some other seed) on it. This was like the toasted bread you get with Italian food. The young girls working the front counter needs more experience and professionalism. I did not feel very welcomed, on two separate occasions that I entered the restaurant, with two different girls - this is particularly important for a newly opened restaurant who wants to offer a first good impression. I wish you good luck with your business endeavors and hopefully, the quality, quantity and authenticity of your food will improve over time, practice and experience. Happy to try again at a later time.

Ordered a pork gyro . ..got pork souvlaki instead. The lady at the counter was nice, but overwhelmed as it was busy, and she didnt have much help. It was tasty, I ate it with no complaints....no need to ruin her day about it. Id go again.

This is the BEST gyros Ive ever had in my life. Really recommend the $10 chicken gyros, great value and the tzatziki was amazing (they put a good amount, which made the flavors really tasty. HIGHLY suggest anyone who likes gyros to try this place out, you wont regret it!

I lived in Greece and am picky about Greek food. This one is a winner! I wish I took more photos before we devoured it all. The pitas with the gyro are a game changer. Pork is our fave but chicken is great too. Their lemon oven roasted potatoes are amongst the best in town. Check out their mini pantry with savoury and sweet home made items. Galaktoboureko desert is amazing. Keep up the great work guys!

Stopped here for a bite to eat before going to a concert and I was blown away. I had the chicken souvlaki dinner and it was absolutely incredible. The portions were huge and I have never had chicken souvlaki that was so tender and juicy. The owner even gave us some extra tzatziki which was also amazing. The only problem is that I dont live locally so I cant visit whenever I want. I will definitely visit again next time Im in the area.

Pork gyro was unreal!

We ordered takeout last night and were very impressed. The chicken gyros was amazing. Authentic, great portions and very flavourful. Highly recommend the roasted potatoes as well. We will definitely be going back soon

EDIT: Went here a 2nd time. Unfortunately I found the rice extremely stale and hard texture. Strangely I was impressed by their rice the first time. Potatoes were slightly better from being too salty. Wifey wants to give this place 1 more try. Im hesitant, but a final visit will confirm whether its inconsistency issues or this place just isnt for us. Ill be giving this place another shot. I really want to like this joint but my first experience was far short of expectations. I ordered the BOGO deal on Uber eats. 2 chicken gyro plates and a baklava. The rice is actually cooked quite well. Short grained, lightly seasoned, good separation and firm texture. What youd expect of Greek style rice. The chicken off the spit was decent to mediocre. A bit dry. Not to salty. Nothing to rave about, just serviceable. The potatoes which are typically my favorite was OVERWHELMINGLY salty. This is why I will give it another shot. I think they just accidentally over seasoned it. The texture was great, nice coloring, but just gives my tongue salt burn. The sauces are minimal. Only provided a small container of tzatziki(?). Not enough to compensate for the mild and dry chicken. Theyd probably benefit from adding olive oil to the entirety of the plate. The baklava was overtly sweet. It was good for me although I dont have enough reference to judge. I liked it. Overall its a mediocre Greek takeout joint off first impressions. Having a local takeout joint that I could get for convenience and comfort would be amazing, so I have high hopes for better luck in my next visit or just their improvement in recipe and cooking.

The food, service and vibe are all top notch 5 star. This place has fresh, authentic vibe that comes from the fact that it is owned and operated by proud Greek people. The staff have a vested interest in showcasing Greek food and hospitable culture. The vibe is what struck such a positive experience and atmosphere. The place was slammed when I visited, they were short staffed but they handled it with professionalism, grace and efficiency. They took ownership of the situation and didnt compromise the quality or service delivered to the customers. It was awesome because they didnt have the attitude you might get from a corporate or franchise store.

I have been waiting for this place to open and I honestly cannot be happier with my first visit. I ordered only meat (pork gyros) and they gave me so much and so nicely crisp and it is so so delicious. I am ecstatic with the neighborhoods new edition.

NEVER use Uber eats with this company. Just call them, I ve been robbed by Uber of $24 thanks to the guy who runs this joint, just call and order your food to avoid being charged 40% extra for your food, had i called as opposed to ordering through the app, I would ve paid $36, but Uber took an extra $24 for literally nothing, and it s your fault, it s the dude behind the counters fault, and if it isn t, then he shouldn t have acted like it was, I would ve cancelled, anything, to avoid paying that extra $24, but apparently this world is criminal

The title is true, these are real Greek gyros like youd find at a shop in Santorini or Mykonos.
