Very authentic. Amazing smiling women always greeting you.. she’s wonderful! I went 3 times and each time consistent quality and service. Burger is fantastic. Hot, fresh, high quality and tastes homemade. Fries are not oily or overly salted. The Greek combo for 13$ is also great.. nice rice, chicken( smells fresh) skewer, salad( good tomatoes and olives) potatoes ( nice and soft) .. I also enjoyed the tzatziki sauce.. their food doesn’t taste old, stale or bad quality. It really tastes like they have moral and get their stuff from good suppliers. Other Greek places the food is usually overly oily, cheap with tomatoes and olives …. Potatoes are hard as rock.. meat stinks.. but these guys are ON POINT! They seem like they actually care about quality and not only being greedy! I respect that.
This meal was so large and so delicious for $22, the chicken was tender and juicy. I couldn’t finish it and had to take it away.
Fantastic home style Greek food by Vengelis and his family. We had a selection of plates to share amongst 3 of us and what can I say... Wow, that was great. The pork souvlaki was delicious, the keftedes (meatballs) was like a roast beef look at the photo, his sauce, pita and tzatziki were also hits, fresh cut fries, tirokafteri and horiatiki Salata thank you!
We were working in the area and this place found us 😉. Walking by it, it felt like it had to be tried. I was not expecting what I got. It was alot of food for the price. It was really good. I think I was expecting mall food Greek , this is definitely not that. This is like a higher end place with decent prices. The lady at the cash was friendly and definitely go's above and beyond. We ate in and she kept bringing water and checking on us. I'm definitely going to take the drive back there for round 2.
Amazing food and incredible service. The lady who was working at the cash and serving today was SO kind. My cousins never had Greek food before and this was their first time trying — they loved it! From the platters to the desserts, it was all very delicious, and at an affordable price point with generous portions. Highly highly recommend. Thank you so so much!

This place is an AMAZING gem in Cabbagetown. The owners are so nice! The food is fresh, well seasoned, well cooked and has good portion sizes for a reasonable price. Their tzatziki and Greek salad is extra good. I would definitely recommend.

Great place on Parliament. Went here for lunch craving souvlaki and it did not disappoint. Went here again some months later. Same great hospitality, same great food for a great price.

We went for dinner tonight. I am in a wheelchair, and not only was the restaurant accessible, they went out of their way to be kind and helpful. We ordered chicken souvlaki dinner, a falafel wrap, plus sides of the Greek fries and cheese pie. The food was wonderful, good quality, well made, served with pride in how it looked. It was a really great place to eat, much better than we had hoped for. Definitely will go there again. Highly recommended.

You sure get your moneys worth here for both portion and flavor. The Gyros are fantastic. Their tzatziki is excellent and definitely try the baklava! On top of that, we were treated very well by the folks who run the place. A delicious meal from nice people thats value for your dollar awaits you at Souvlaki Express.

We placed three large catering orders from Souvlaki Express at 484 Parliament for our work event. The food and service were excellent. The food arrived on time was fresh hot and very tasty. This spot is my local foodie secret! Their Souvlaki is crazy good - hearty, tasty, and wont break the bank. And the Gyro wrap? Its like a flavor explosion in your mouth. Seriously cant get enough. Plus, the vibe here is cozy, and the staff? Super friendly. If youre up for a Greek feast that wont disappoint, check this place out total neighborhood gem!

Souvlaki Express definitely was a great spot for delicious Greek food in the city. My wife had a craving Mediterranean and we noticed they were down the street. The restaurant was clean, the food was fresh, and it was well priced. The spinach feta pie is such a good value for the homemade meal. I ordered the mixed gyro and was pleased to find it wasnt like other restaurants, its more loose, but so flavourful. I didnt have a chance to take pictures because the food was way too good and I forgot. Ps. The baklava was P.p.s Also the staff was super friendly. Made the night!

I had a craving for souvlaki the other day and was so lucky to find Souvlaki express on parliament. I was so excited to see the classics and some beautifully created dips that are to die for. I had the souvlaki dinner with roasted potatoes with chicken. The chicken was roasted to perfection and the lemon flavouring on potatoes had the perfect zest. Tzatziki was homemade, and had great texture, body and punched a knockout with garlic power. I could not resist the fresh baklava, and overstuffed myself. So worth it, the owners were so friendly and welcoming I hope you find your new go to for lunch, dinner or late night snack. Poli oreio/

Overall, the chicken soulaki dinner and greek fries were overly salty for my personal taste. But if you dont mind saltier meals, you wont mind it. The chicken soulaki wasnt too bad but the potatoes/rice seem to have absorbed alot of salt, borderline unbearable but everyone is different. Salad was fine, it came with a packet of salad dressing. Lastly, thr greek fries had less feta than i expected.
This place never misses! Amazing chicken greek salad, very satisfying and large portion of hummus, and the burger special is great too. Exceptional service.
WOW!AMAZING
I ordered for pick up thru Ubereats yesterday and asked to use the washroom when I picked it up. I was told no, they dont have washroom for pick up?? I was confused, then she told me next time to bring a bag?? I just paid $47 for food and she had it ready in a paper bag? I carried it home just fine. The point is Paying Customers Should be allowed to use the washroom wether dining in or not.

Were staying in the area and got gyros and souvlaki to go. The food was so good! These guys know what theyre doing. We also loved the sign on the wall, teaching you Greek words!

I saw the rating was 4.7 on DoorDash, hence why I gave it a shot. Really wondering if this was just a really bad day, because I m shocked at the level of quality I received and this review score does not hold up. I ordered the grilled Kalamari dinner which was $23.95, and firstly did not receive the rice, potatoes, or Greek salad. But worse than that, the kalamari was so so so dry, chewy, and you could see it had freezer burn. I could hardly eat this, and for that price? Also, not sure I would classify iceberg lettuce as greens . My partner (who is also Greek) couldn t believe the quality of the gyro which also tasted frozen. This was a little shocking for Greek food, and I was confused as to how they would feel ok serving this to us.
Dinner special is where its at. A slice of the Danforth in the Cabbagetown.

Its Nov 27th 2023 and I just stopped off and picked up a Souvlaki on Pita and a medium Greek salad. Both were absolutely delicious AND this Souvlaki express is under new management/owners! They have renovated and upgraded their menu! Amazing authentic Greek food and decor. They gave me some free samples of the rotisserie/grilled pork and it was awesome! I fully recommend this new Souvlaki Express!!
The restaurant is under new management, and has been spruced up. It s absolutely spotless, the service warm and inviting and my chicken souvlaki was perfectly grilled and the salad crisp and fresh. Definitely worth supporting!

Only been to the location on Parliament and ordered the 2 pitas for $10 deal. Was really impressed with both the Chicken and the Lamb, it wasnt dried out at all and both had great flavor. And you cant beat the price. Customer service was good, its take-out food and its delicious, so 5 stars!

$21.41 for a chicken Greek salad served in a little container and hellmans Greek salad dressing?? No I was expecting homemade Greek dressing. Terrible amount of food for the price. Will not be ordering again.

June 2022: No they do not have Moussaka. At least not on my last visit. Maybe its one of those on again off again menu items. Feb2022: Double chicken Souvlaki & Meat Moussaka dinners to go. Absolutely outstanding food from the perfectly heated pita with just the right toasty crunch to the delicious Moussaka. Cant say enough of the flavours. Previously: Ordered a large chicken souvlaki dinner with a large side of olives for take out. Given the history of the owner in the business, I for one am glad we have decent Greek food in the neighbourhood. My meal was brought to me by a sincerely pleasant lady. The food was fresh, tasty and dang satisfying. A squirt or two of in house salad dressing would have been nice rather than the in bag Hellmanns I was given but then again, it is express. And yes, for take out the salad doesnt get mushy by the time you get home. On a final note, the hummus is outstanding with its little pieces of garlic. Looking forward to their other dishes.

I ordered from here for the first time a few days ago. I believe on Saturday. Through Uber Eats. 45 mins before they closed. The food was amazing. It was fresh. It was quick. I really enjoyed everything.

High quality greek cuisine with very fresh ingredients and dishes that were packed with flavor. Very much recommend for a great meal! (My order was delivery and everything arrived very well packaged and warm, the separate salad, separate dressing, everything perfect).

I wish I could recommend the food, but I am not panning it, either. I was 24 hrs out of general anaesthesia surgery and I had NO sense of taste. The burger was hot, fries too. The counter staff woman was quick, kind and courteous. I will try again when I can taste something, I think we may have a restaurant in this particular address that may last beyond a few minutes. Heres hoping I ate regularly at work years (shhh decades) ago and want to again.
I was quite disappointed with their food. Extremely dry and salty. I wanted to like it so bad, but I was unable to finish my plate. Plus, they are not cheap.

Got the special 2 for $10 jyros (half sizes) and it was good. I find most Greek food places to be overpriced, this one included, for other items on the menu.
The owner was rude
The lady who took our order was nice but food was mediocre. Souvlaki dinners are expensive for what they are. Their pita wraps can be good for lunch though. We sat down while waiting and the table was sticky and looked not clean but this was during lock down when dine in was not an option.
I specifically asked them if there was any meat in the dinner I ordered and they said no. The rice had a distinct pork/smoky flavour!!! I dont eat meat and this was outrageous to me. yuck. Never again. Called me a liar when I said there was meaty taste in the rice.

Waited till they opened at 10 because I was craving Greek food. At 10:00 the sign lit up. I ordered, everything was ready, just had to wait for meat to be freshly grilled. Everything was packaged nicely, and tasty. Hot grilled pita bread. Lightly dressed salad, balsamic and olive oil with lots of feta. Mmm juicy chicken souvlaki, tzatziki was fresh and not super thick. Roasted potatoes were flavorful. Also, portion was big. I was stuffed.

I tried there chicken gyros and they didn t disappoint me. It was perfectly cooked and full of juice. And there spanakopita is hit hot and crispy loaded with spinach and cheese. It s highly recommended. I am definitely going back there. Also they have such a great staff.

I have ordered Souvlaki Express for dinner several times and for catering an event in the last year. Before they moved to Parliament/Winchester location from their Queen/Parliament location, my organization ordered from them frequently for meetings and events. They are easy to communicate with, very friendly and their food is amazing. Definitely a go-to restaurant for Greek food.

A cut above standard souvlaki fast food joints, but no more expensive. The food is first rate. Everything is hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and they will customize to your specifications. You order and pay at the counter. Then someone brings your food to your table. There is even beer and booze. Great quality and value. Friendly staff and very clean. Its a real restaurant, not just a takeout place with a few tables thrown in as an afterthought.
