We ordered catering food from Yaya & it was truly incredible what they did, The meat was so juicy and tender, Their pita were soft and warm, Their dips, tzaziki & salads were perfect, And their olives were out of this world, Their baklava was sooo good! One of the best and most reliable places to cater for your parties, they delivered the food on time & it was warm & delicious We will definitely be using their services again! Best Greek food weve had in a while. The halloumi appetizer was exquisite. Their tzatziki was the most authentic Ive ever had in a restaurant with the cucumber flavour coming through. Portions were very generous. We had the lamb and pork kontosouvli and the fried kalamari, all were excellent. Matilda was friendly and warm and treated us to a delicious, not overly sweet baklava. Food more in line with what youd get in an authentic Greek taverna than the Americanized fare youll find on the Danforth. Do yourself a favour and give this gem a try.

I have had many a chicken souvlaki meal in my life having lived in the Riverdale area for well over 50 years and this is the first time I have had a meal here. The meal was absolutely fantastic. The chicken was tender, the fries were delicious, the salad was out of this world with lots of cheese and vegetables. The only thing I would do different is to eat in and have more of their foods. I had to do take out. Must try if you are in the Queen Street East and Leslie area.

Greek family restaurant that serves Homemade food in the Leslieville area. The host was very friendly and it s a great place to have dinner. Food tasted great & authentic. However, bear in mind that meals might take up to 25 mins especially when there are a lot of people in the restaurant. Regardless, I highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I ordered from this place on a whim the other night, we were craving just some solid Greek food and wow did Yaya s deliver! The chicken was seasoned wonderfully and very juicy, the potatoes were so delicious with a nice lemon flavour, pita was yummy and same for the rice. I d definitely recommend this place! No complaints.

My daughter ordered a burger from here, not only was it burnt but she had food poisoning for 4 days after!!! Waitress was extremely rude to my autistic nephew. When he asked her what the dinner comes with she told him to read the menu! They did not come to our table once asking how everything was. We then had to go ask for our bill. Their payment machine wasn t working and took 20 minutes to finally work. Definitely wouldn t recommend.

This reminded us so much of our food in Athens. The food is so authentic, family owned and the owner is from Athens. I thought it was pricey at first when I looked at the menu but I then realized once the food came out that the food is priced as sharing plates, huge portions. Menu is very traditional and modern at the same time. Out of this world. Chefs wife was so warm and kind. If you cant go to Athens, come here. Definitely coming back again!

We had an exceptional experience dining at Yaya this is our second visit, and each time has been nothing short of fantastic. The portions are generous, and the flavors are superb. My husband and I went here for a date night and the food was amazing. VERY generous portions which surprised me a lot (in a good way). My husband is Keto so it was nice to see he could select his own 2 side dishes for the dinner meal as no extra cost. The meat was tender and the veggies were very fresh. The host was very friendly. Wonderful music. Definitely coming back to try their other dishes! Dietary restrictions: Excellent option if you re keto or looking for something healthier.

Simply put, I m blown away by how good Yaya s food is. The skewers are tender, juicy and flavourful. The veggies are perfectly cooked. And the pita bread and the tzatziki were the best I ve ever had. We dined in several months ago, and just tried Uber Eats, and in both instances we weren t disappointed. You can tell they love food, making food, and satisfying their customers.

Absolutely delicious meal, and the very generous portions meant I got to enjoy leftovers the next day. Deep fried olives are amazing - way more than two of us could eat. The lamb skewer and tzaziki were great. I appreciated the bottles of ice water the server kept us stocked up on

Best place ever..

Dinner was delicious! A few recommendations. The calamari and zucchini were excellent. The rosted potatoes and chicken schnitzel were great. Fries were ok, I think maybe frozen vs homemade but would say get the potatoes instead anyways cause they are amazing. They also gave us a complimentary Greek dessert to celebrate Christmas - what a great touch!

Fresh ingredients and tasty meals!

Who knew you could get a great Greek meal in Leslieville? Yaya has a homey feel to it - from the food to the people to the place. Their lunch specials are amazing: Got the chicken stick box, and for just $15 you get a juicy chicken skewer and a generous heaping of fries, salad, pita and dip. Owner gave us some baklava to try, and I gotta say, that baklava drenched in all that honey is worth 5 stars on its own. Amazing value, great vibe, worth a visit!

This restaurant is fantastic. My first time going and the food was to die for, the service was attentive without being pushy, and the whole restaurant gave an amazing family feel to it. Definitely in my top five spots in Leslieville from now on.

We really love this place, portions are big and tasty, and price wise is really not expensive at all. First time we went there with my wife and a friend looking for a cozy place to chat and escape from the cold, and of course have a good meal, we felt at home immediately (and we are not Greeks!) we got a huge amount of food and all the dishes had a great quality, and the attention by the owner and her daughter was exceptional they really took really good care of us, and their baklava was exquisite! After that we came back couple of months later and again we felt like home again and the food was on point

Some of the best chicken gyro Ive had in a loooooong time! Im not sure if the pita bread is baked inhouse, but it tasted super fresh, and the fries and greek salad in the Chicken Gyro lunch box were all great. To polish it off, the baclava was pretty great. Will be back, will recommend to friends.

You know food is good when mama is cooking they offered me baklava on the house which was so nice of them. I hardly ever leave reviews, but I had an exceptional meal at Yaya s today with my family. The lunch specials are an incredible value. I ordered the chicken gyro and it turned out to be a huge portion of succulent chicken, homemade tzatziki, fresh salad, pita and fries. The owner then served us orange pie on the house, which was juicy and delicious. We had the best meal and will definitely be back!

My hubby & I visited Yaya bistro for the first time yesterday. I was so excited based on their Instagram posts but I have to admit pictures do not do any justice!. The food was absolutely delicious, so tasty . The gyro was tender yet crunchy , the potato s so lemony , the feta was fluffy and not overly salty like most . The portions were massive and the price so affordable. The staff it s super friendly and kind . Such a cute decorated chic restaurant. It was quite the trek from Brampton but I m counting the days till we visit again ! Best Greek food I ever had ! My teen ate our leftovers because we couldn t finish it all, he was amazed at how good it was . We definitely need to bring him with us. Don t even over think this and just go.

Saw this place bike riding downtown and stopped by to give it a try and I really enjoyed it. Seemed like a great little local family run Greek spot that was well run with good service and great food. I tried their Gyro and it was great no matter which way you go Pork or Chicken. The pitas were stacked up nice and all was fresh and tasted great and the price was fair too. I took my food to go and ate on a few small tables they had outside which was great as the weather was nice. The inside looked clean and cozy as well for those who want to dine in. Being Greek myself I will say that the flavours here are quite authentic to what you would find in Greece and executed quite well. I will definitely return again myself and would strongly recommend anyone to give them a try for themselves

The best Greek food I have had in the city, I tried the chicken souvlaki dinner and orange cake. The chicken was tender and juicy, the potatoes were extremely delicious and they make their own tzatziki which was outstanding. To top it all off I got the orange cake which was absolutely delicious. The owner is from Athens and is very polite and sweet. Would definitely come here again, 10/10 would recommend.

What a gem Greek restaurant in Leslieville! They have a great variety in their menu. And the food is fresh and delicious, and feels like homemade. My highlights are the chicken skewer and chicken gyro dinner, which includes two sides. The Greek salad is excellent and so is the roasted potatoes. Overall good price and great service.

I called YaYas to get some help ordering my friends a dinner as they went through one of lifes tough times. The own was so helpful and kind as she walked me through the best options for my friends. The pork gyro was pretty fatty, but tasty. The chicken gyro was extremely salty. The salt overpowered every other flavour so I don t actually know what it was supposed to taste like. The portions were quite large. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. The waitress was more interested in her phone than the people she should be servicing.

The food was prepared nicely fresh ingredients Their Greek salad was amazing. I had to try their Moussaka since they had it on the menu and it was amazing. Made from scratch, I absolutely loved it. The hostess, I think was the owner lovely lady was very friendly and inviting. Definitely a place to try.

Really enjoyed our lunch here, great value delicious food. Service was nice felt very authentic, it was kinda funny seeing the cook smoke in the back after from our seats. I honestly really enjoyed eating here, the only thing I would say is the salt and pepper and vinegars on the table needed to be cleaned they were really dirty, the place could be updated, but overall would return and enjoyed my meal! Delicious food with huge portions. I m keto at the moment and was able to eat here no problem, which is rare even in Toronto. My personal favourite was the halloumi appetizer (pictured - I ate mine without pita but my friends loved the pita) but honestly everything was so good. For my main I had the chicken stick dinner with Greek salad and vegetables, came with 2 large skewers and was fantastic. Had a vodka soda to drink and it was a very generous pour for the price. All the prices were great for such large dishes and the quality of the food was amazing. The open air patio/dining area was really nice as well. Will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg friendly options. Dietary restrictions: Keto friendly. Vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: We had 2 kids with us, ages 8 and 3, and they had a great time.

Wandered in off the street for a snack and had the most incredible meal. Wow. Portions were very generous and the food was seriously delicious - halloumi and Greek salad and eggplant sticks. Is our third time at this restaurant but our first review. Long story short: amazing! The place is so cozy and the Greek music makes you forget the cold outside. Warm lights and a super simple but beautiful wooden environment. The attention is super kind since you enter there and they make you feel warmly welcomed! Now the food. Please ask for the Gyro dinner, it could be chicken, pork or anything but it will be always delicious. We asked for pork and chicken and both were awesome. Golden, crunchy, juicy and soft. It s all that you need. I recommend to ask for the potatoes and the Greek salad is the fresh accent to put the crown to the dish. All the experience was really amazing in this cozy, full of love and good vibes place. Congratulations to everyone who made this restaurant possible

The owners are so sweet and kind and we received a free desert! The greek salad was perfect and the halloumi on a stick with grilled vegetables was so good - we will come back again and again!

Got take out twice and it was SO GOOD both times. Gyros are bangin. The dips for $20 were also delicious and lots of leftovers. Will eat in soon!

I love this local gem. The food is FRESH! The owner/operators are LOVELY. I love supporting small local businesses and this one is worthy. We had the veggie skewers, salad, haloumi, pita and humous. Delicious. Vegetarian options: Im a vegetarian and it totally worked for me.

From one YAYA to another loved this restaurant- for all family members but this Gramma loved it! Just enjoyed delicious fresh grilled halloumi on warmed pita bread with tomatoes and the homemade beef meatball soup - yummy satisfying and good value. I have tried almost all the food menu at Yaya restaurant. My favourite is Stuffed Beef Burger. Very delicious. All good food served with Great quality. Julia always provides Great service, is very friendly and is very welcoming with all guests. I will definitely suggest to my other friends to come here to try Yaya restaurant food cooked from a real great Cook.

What can I say? Pork gyros, Greek salad and roast potatoes, is just absolutely out of this world. !

Forget the Danforth. For really authentic, flavourful Greek food lovingly prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients, Yayas is the place to be. Always consistently great. Still working our way through the menu but standouts so far are the pastitsio, kebab (pita or dinner) and dips (try the combo platter of dips).

Delicious food every time I ve been there. Home-made. And very friendly owners and staff too.

Freshly made food (pita, tzatziki, salads, not just the mains). The seasoning of the dishes was perfect, just enough to bring out the flavours. They have more choices other than gyros and souvlaki. Best Greek food we ve ever had.

Overall, our takeout order was outstanding ! Ordered the pork on a stick dinner meal, and it was on point. The marination of the meat was excellent, and the grilling was exceptional. Nice sides of boiled veggies and oven-roasted potatoes! Highly recommended!!

To support neighborhood restaurants, my husband and I went to YaYa Greek Bistro on a Saturday night for dinner ~ and we were super excited when our meals were served. We had Chicken Souvlaki & Calamari platters ~ the portions were enormous and the dishes were presented tastefully with care. The chickens were tender and Calamaris were meaty as they were lightly battered. As a restaurant owner ourselves, we greatly appreciated and enjoyed the simple flavors but honest food that were served a homemade food that you would serve to your own family! The owner walked about to each table to thank for patronage and served bite size baklava as complimentary dessert, which was a bonus If you are looking for a family run restaurant where they serve homey and pleasing food in Riverside/Leslieville neighborhood, YaYa Greek Bistro is highly recommended!

I really don t know why this place has a 4.9 star rating . I went today wanting to support local business in my neighbourhood but was very disappointed. The saganaki was cold they didn t do the opa ! Thingy they normally do I though ok it different but then to have it cold was just unacceptable . My gyro box was served with cold fries had to send it back and everything after that was just bad . Luckily there was wine and good company but I could have had that at home for way cheaper . Oh and the chef or kitchen staff came out with his hand held massager and was just sitting there in the middle of restaurant giving himself a massage like it s totally cool to just be there while people having their dinner drinking . Just weird and not worth the experience . It s a cute spot but they really need to iron out these major kinks and get their quality control in check.

The best Greek food I ever had. The quality was amazing. The service too. I order saganaki and chicken stick dinner with lemonade roasted potatoes (the best roasted potatoes in town) and steamed veggies. Everything was amazing. Authentic and traditional. I went to a lot Greek restaurants in Greek town but Yaya Greek bistro is the only traditional Greek restaurant in Toronto. I recommend this place to everyone. You have to try for sure this little, cute place in queen street. I will come back for sure. My favourite new spot. Thank you Yaya for this experience!
