Super disgusting and tasteless food I ever had...

Went with high expectations but was left disappointed. The crispy beef was mostly deep fried flour, very little actual beef. The manchurian chicken noodles had very little chicken or vegetables. The deep fried squid was great though. Servers and owners are also friendly. Their prices are good but it would make more sense to increase them a bit and not skimp out on the meat.

Update: something has changed in the food. Used to love the lung fung soup and it s bland and not good any longer. There s no flavour, no salt, nothing. Everything seems to have become totally bland, lots of items have artificial colour. Definitely don t order the spicy garlic stuff - it s awful and super sweet, nothing like the real Hakka one. I dislike most Hakka Chinese restaurants here as I dont find it to be remniscient of the higher quality places from India. This is an exception. Really enjoy the food. Reminds me of home - Calcutta.

Chicken hakka Chow mein and chili chicken dry were fantastic. Noodles had plenty of chicken and vegetables and were tasty. Chili chicken hit the spot.

We got the Fried Rice and Lemon chicken and it was really good. The shrimp manchurian noodles was a big let down. There was no real flavour in it. The rest was good.

Food was bang on average. We had the beef chilli dry, Szechuan chicken, chicken chow mein, and chicken fried rice. No dish had any flavour. Service was great and staff was friendly - that is sadly the only positive.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I have gotten multiple calls from this establishment, with the employees yelling at me to pick up my order I do not live anywhere near this restaurant. I got told I was a terrible person, ugly and dumb over the phone. Will never be ordering from this place.

The food was very good, do recommend. Had the Singapore noodles, chilli chicken dry, and deep fried shrimp. Everything was good, no complaints.

The food is delicious and the server was incredibly friendly. The food also arrived quickly. The fried food was not greasy and the sauces accompanying the dishes were amazing. Also the homemade chili sauce and oil that are on the table were also phenomenal. We had the shrimp pakora and then two hakka dishes (one with pickled lemon and another with pickled greens). Such unique and tasty flavours!

The food here is very reasonably priced and the quality provided is very generous. Would definitely recommend coming back again. Better for takeout as the inside of the restaurant seems unkept and isnt very nice. That being said great food! Parking: Small parking lot

The food is good at times. Only thing is the Asian lady isnt that friendly or patient maybe she was having a bad day. The cook and the Indian waitress are really nice and friendly. The Indian waitress gives good recommendations if you want to try new things. I still like this place over all. Only thing I would say is give people a chance to look over the menu and dont make them feel rushed, and dont be cheap with the take out containers. If theres a lot of food left give them the proper size dont give them small containers and then they have to keep asking for containers

If youre a fan of spicy food, this place is the spot for you. The Manchurian eggplant and butter Masala chicken were my favorites. Great service and friendly staff too.

I just came here recently with my family and we enjoyed our experience here. The food here is great and the service here is amazing. The food had a unique taste and I will defintely be coming back. I totally recommend this place, it deserves 5 star.

Food is very average. The beef fried rice is very bland and the chicken with black bean sauce has no flavour. I tried this place based on the good reviews but very disappointing at the end.

Food is incredible, the quantities are decent my only real criticism is that the rice and noodle dishes dont have a lot of meat in them. Otherwise the flavours are great and if you ask for extra spicy its the perfect amount of spice where you get your nose running a bit but you can still enjoy what youre eating. Service is also great and the atmosphere is cozy, not overly decorated but very pleasant and subtle. Dietary restrictions: Halal

Best lunch deal in the area.

Worst experience. Ordered a Vegetarian noodle and ended up with a chicken noodles.Order through Uber and got absolutely nothing in terms of compensation. Not recommended.

The older man from the back comes out and watches people eat. It is somewhat weird and makes you uncomfortable. The portions are tiny, and the food tastes so bland. I would not recommend this place, especially with the spicy dragon down the street

Definition of a hidden gem. From the food to the good vibes service. Relaxed atmosphere. Up there for my favourite Hakka in the east end. They have the best crispy beef! Also had to try their chilli chicken. Food so good you re intrigued to try other items. Portions were very generous. You won t be disappointed if you re craving. Added to my go to list. Happy to share this review to hopefully play a small part in keeping others wanting to visit.

By far the best Indian Chinese Ive had. The most closest to what we get in India..

My newest fave Hakka place. I ve had Chili chicken & crispy beef in many places, but really loved the way this place does it. Crispy beef is so crispy and meaty, and sauce is balanced taste. I enjoyed the spice and flavours in the Chili chicken. The owner and servers are very friendly. Establishment is very clean. Hidden gem in a small plaza, highly recommend to try!

Finally tried this place and it was definitely worth the trip as everything we ordered was excellent. Be warned the food can be fairly spicy even if you order it mild. Will definitely eat here regularly going forward. Edit: Ate here again and we had a couple of the lunch specials. Food was excellent like the last time we were here and the lunch deals are a steal for what you get for the price, in my opinion. Very happy we found this place!

This was my first time visiting Wongs, I have read the reviews and let me tell you this place is definitely a near 5 star. The food was purely delicious! Crispy beef, best crunch and flavour, the schewan sauce on my shrimp has a beautiful spicy flavour. Staff very attentive and polite, I will be back to this gem in Scarborough!

Decent tasting Hakka food and they give 10%off for cash. Theres no dining inside since COVID started even though its 2023. Theres fierce competition for hakka food in Scarborough and this place is just okay.

Me has already a great experience with this restaurant. From the spices they put in their food it will feel like traditional Hakka Food straight from India itself. Me always order the paneer pakora, and veg pakora, general tao chickne, paneer fried rice , manchurian beef, shanghai vegetable chow mein etc honestly this couple knows how to cook and serve great food. Vegetarian options: they are buttloads of great amazing veg opitions

We orders the fried rice, the spicy garlic shrimp, Manchurian dry fish and the chicken Pokora, and I must say it was some of the best dishes I ve had from an Indian Hakka restaurant. Food is delicious service is great! Will definitely be going again!

Had some spicy mixed seafood fried rice and cumin beef for the first time and it tasted amazing, stealer work and the lady at cash was very nice. Thank you and highly recommend to anyone to give this place a try. Will be a regular customer moving forward

02/02/2023 Went for 1st time, theres only takeout which was fine. Lunch takeout was $9 and included a springroll and a pop. Food was overall very good. Had to wait just a bit as food was made after we ordered. Will definitely go again

Every time we get Wongs were never disappointed. It taste delicious and always hot. We always get the seafood soup, general tao, and garlic beef and its 10/10. Definitely need to try their other items!

I ve tried a lot of Hakka places in the GTA but I think Wong s has to be right there at the top. Chili chicken and Chili beef are a must try and I absolutely love their spicy garlic shrimp. My only complaint would be that their portion sizes are not a big as some of the other Hakka places I ve visited, but they make up for that with amazingly tasty food!! If this places wasn t so far from where I live, I d probably be eating here a lot more often.

Been eager to try out this place after having a craving for Hakka food. Ordered a takeout of chilli chicken and chicken pakora and it was very good! Fresh, flavourful and generous portions, cannot beat the value. Will be trying some other dishes next time I m in the area.

By far the best Indian Chinese restaurant in Scarborough! Tried their chef-recommended chicken 65 ( not yet on the menu) and it was perfect! The spice level, and the chicken pieces they used were really nice. Loved their chicken Hakka Chow mein as well. Im originally from Mumbai so this Chinese definitely met my expectations of spicy and tasty Hakka Chinese. The quantity was good too ...... One plate of noodles was good for 3 people. The chef and his wife were so friendly and an amazing host..... This is definitely my new favorite place!

Delicious experience at Wong s! We had great service and all of the food tasted so fresh. Pictured is dry chili chicken with hakka chow mein, and chicken wontons as an appetizer. The chicken and wontons were so crunchy which I love! Great prices too for the lunch & dinner specials especially in today s market.

One of the best places for Chinese Indian Haka food in Scarborough that Ive been to a few times. Located in an older plaza at the corner of Birchmount and Lawrence. Theyve got an array of delicious menu items most ironically their chili chicken, beef cumin, vegetarian haka chow mein, Crispy beef, pakoras to name a few. Their service is great and the chef and fellow owner is personable

One of my favourite Hakka spots to get food. Very flavourful chicken and noodles. I would recommend to ask them to double fry as it makes the chicken much more crispy which goes perfectly with the Hakka noodles or the fried rice. Both the owners are very nice with great customer service.

Solid place for Hakka food!! The service was very good! The chef or owner was very friendly with me and my family, treating us like one of his own. The food was on point with outstanding flavours! Absolutely phenomenal. Everyone in our party loved the food, the chill atmosphere and the friendly staff. It satisfied our cravings after a badminton game. Price is also very reasonable, we ordered 1 dish per person and paid $15 each (excluding tax).

Its our favorite spot. We found this place during the pandemic. The chef and his family are very friendly and they take personal care. Their house made hot sauce is loaded with flavor. Best hakka in Toronto.

We were a group of 15 people, went for dine in on very short notice. We had wonderful service, excellent food and our dietary restrictions were accommodated. Highly recommend!!

Ordered chilli chicken, chilli panner and green beans. Green beans wasnt great and wont order it again. The portion of the panner wasnt great. Chill chicken portion was good but the taste okay.

Been looking Hakka place for some times and glad that we found this restaurant!! Maria, the lady at the cashier (I overheard she mentioned her name to the other customer) was super friendly!! We ordered: shrimp pakora, veg spring rolls, chili chicken, chicken and cashew nut, Manchurian vegetables noodles, vegetables Hakka noodles and hot and sour soup. Overall the food were AHmazing!!! Try the chili chicken, it was DaBoom!! Thank you guys for making such great food! And please keep it up

Good food for a really good price. We got the chicken lollipop, manchurian, crispy beef and chowmein and the bill was just $50! Everything tasted so good. Def a must try.

Excellent food and friendly service. I came here for lunch with my kid today, and we both really enjoyed our lunch special meals. My kid got the Hakka Chow Mein and I got the Chili beef (spicy!) with steamed rice. Each came with a can of pop. Great portion size and they didnt skimp on the meat. Wongs Asian Cuisine is better value than what youd find at a mall food court.

One of the best Hakka restaurants I have been to. The food is not oily and very good flavour. The owner/chef is a very friendly person who comes out of the kitchen to check to see if you are enjoying the food which is a nice touch.

Surprisingly, vegetarian options were really good. Veg hakka chiw mein, veg Manchuria soup and Chilli potato were extremely flavourful. Usually, at other places we get either too spicy, or just red colored stuff, or too bland. However, we were really impressed with the clean and distinct tastes of this restaurant.

A clean and cozy family run dining spot for some yummy Hakka Chinese food. The food was absolutely delicious compared to other hakka places. Our hostess Aman was very kind and hospitable. She took excellent care of us. My husband was crazy about the schezwan sauce as it was so flavorful. I had a ton of options to choose from since I am a vegetarian and the paneer was so good. There are a lot of Tofu options for Vegans as well. We ordered a Chicken Schezwan rice, Chicken Chilly, Chicken Pakora, Paneer Manchurian, Veg Hakka Noodles and Chilly Potatoes Dry. You should definitely try this place out for dine in. Vegetarian options: Lots of Vegetarian options! Many Eggplant, Potatoe, and Tofu options for Vegans too Parking: Decent number of parking spots in the plazal Kid-friendliness: Has a few kid friendly items!

This place used to provide the highest quality of hakka food but recently their food has become terrible. My husband and I got terribly ill after eating here. Our food tasted stale upon delivery and we didn t think much of it but overnight we became terribly ill from their food. Our order was also from yesterday. We had General Tao Chicken, Chili Fish and spring rolls. Not sure whether its new management but this place has really changed in terms of quality of freshness. Unfortunately after many years of ordering from them we will no longer be.

Best Hakka Chinese in the area. They don t put too much salt. It s perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in their food. Don t forget to try the house made chili for that extra kick. Underrated !

Unprecedented Pakoras! If you like Chicken Pakoras, then this place is next on your itinerary! Big, juicy chunks of flesh without the heavy batter, but just enough crunch. We also had their Chicken Hakka Chow Mein, and Chilli Chicken. Both were great with minimal oil--the greasy spoon that wasnt! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, and were surprised that we hadnt known of this place in the 7 years that theyve been here. To paraphrase Arnie, Well be back...! Only 1 thing is that you need to look past the duct-taped stairs as you descend to the basement, and walk past the furnace and hot water tank on your way to the could-be-cleaner washrooms...

Came here from Ajax after reading reviews. Expectations were high, but the food was okay at best. The hakka noodles were dry, rubbery and not tasty. Chilli chicken and garlic fish were okay. But the lollipops were awesome.

Ordered chili chicken (dry) last time. Kinda confused cause it was just plain chicken sauteed with chilis and onions. Other places I get it has the chicken sauced up just not smothered in gravy (hence the dry part) Not sure if thats actually how they serve it or just forgot other ingredients. *In response to the owner. I wasnt referring to other vegetables as ingredients. Im talking about seasoning/spices/pastes/wet ingredients to give it flavor. It was literally just fried chicken, onions and chili lol

Hands down THE BEST Chinese food! We tried Wongs based on reviews and have not been disappointed! We were hesitant to revisit after a great first experience because we thought it was beginners luck, but boy oh boy, every time we order it s consistently high quality, delicious and super fresh. We always order when we come visit our family and look forward to it every month. Staff is super friendly and provide great recommendations! Wish there was something this good in York Region!! Don t hesitate to order from here, never disappoints and the price is very reasonable!!

Great Indian Chinese taste

This place is next level, best Hakka around. Have eaten here at least 6 times this winter. General Tso Chicken, Salt and Pepper Paneer, Ginger beef, House Mixed Fried Rice, and the Crispy Chicken are all highly recommended. Even if you dont like spicy, they can make any dish mild. But if you like spice, youre in good company, and wont be disappointed .

Best Chinese food So much like India

SIMPLY AWESOME !!! Ordered food from this place today. I had read in the reviews that some people got essence of Kolkata Chinese food at this restaurant. This is TRUE !!!! I cannot express how happy I was when I put the first spoon of Chicken Chowmein in my mouth. I was so overwhelmed that I called the owner immediately after tasting the food to thank him. I have been to a few countries in my lifetime. But I can say this is the closest I ever tasted to Kolkata Chinese style of cooking.

Ordered the mixed rice, green beans, sesame beef and chili chicken with gravy. They were all fantastic. Also great customer service. Welcoming and friendly.

This is now my go-to spot for Hakka, best in Scarborough by a mile! Customer service is great, great lunch specials. Chicken pakoras are best Ive ever had! Would also recommend Singapore rice noodles and chili chicken, but dry and not with gravy if you want crispy.

What can i say about this place that hasnt already gone up. If i could give 10 stars id give 20. Its been nearly 2 decades since leaving Calcutta, and yesterday was the first time ive had hakka chinese as good if not better than back home. It put a smile on my entire familys face and made for happy bellies all around. Must try the chicken manchurian and hakka fried rice , chicke. Chowmien, vegetable chowmien. Chicken pakoras etc. You guys get what im going for. They are definitely worth the drive out if you dont live close enough. The owner is super pleasant and very sweet. Will only be visiting wongs for any future hakka cravings .

Ive tried so many Hakka restaurants in Toronto and Wongs is by far the best! It actually tastes like the Hakka food I remember having as a kid in India. Their manchurian fish is amazing and a good sized portion as well. So happy to have found them.

Good price point. The chicken fried rice, chili chicken and spicy fried squid were good. The chicken balls were dry and the garlic beef was not my favourite. Would def come back again. Also, plus points to the lady/owner who was super nice.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We ordered 8 dishes total and all were fantastic. We really liked the Crispy beef, Bombay Chicken, General Tao Chicken, Manchurian Chicken with gravy, Mixed Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles, Vegetable Pakora, Salt & Pepper Paneer. We will be back again.

The serson at the cash register allowed the two east asian customers receive a discount for paying cash, while myself and the person before me - we are both south asian - payed full in cash. There was a sign on the front counter that said we would receive a discount if payed by cash. Was odd.

The place is takeout only. The food is actually very good. Ginger shrimp was cooked perfectly. Szechuan chicken had good flavoura and vegetables. I would order there again.

This is now my favourite Hakka place! Tonight we ordered the dry chilli chicken, hot and sour soup Manchurian fried rice, chicken pakora and chilli beef and it was soooo good!!!! Affordable quality food. Happy customer. Will be returning again!!

The food made me sick in just 15 mins after I had my first bite!! I had terrible diarrhea for a couple of days as a result.I wouldnt recommend this place at all. Ordered Manchurian chowmein and chicken Manchurian. The food wasnt cooked properly at all. I highly doubt if the chicken was fresh either. Also, taste wise it was really poor too. Terrible experience.

We ordered Manchurian fried rice both veg and chicken. Rice was extremely red in colour and taste could have been better. Food quantity was very good we ate for dinner and next day lunch. Hot and sour soup was excellent!

We went there cos of the rating, however, Quality is very poor. Apologies for such reviews but we had stomach problems after eating it. The owners were polite and friendly. We did a take out on 22nd Oct and ordered Chowmein, Fried momos and fish fries. Costed us 55 $ .. honestly it was a complete waste. We didn t consume it. Hope the quality issues are resolved and owners pay attention.

The food was fantastic, best Hakka restaurant that I have found in awhile, everything we tried was great! Can t wait to try more from the menu.

We ordered delivery from Wong s Asian Cuisine for Lollipop Chicken, Shrimp Pakora, Shrimp Thai Tom Yam Soup, and Chicken & Shrimp Chow Mein. Overall, the food was tasty, fresh and in reasonable portions. The soup turned out to be spicier (hot) than what we thought we chose though.

Went there based on review. My new favorite hakka place for sure. Their food is really good. Like their hakka noodles. They use thin noodles which i like the most. I will try their other dishes for sure.
