I have to say, the food was exceptional! Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients, and the flavors were well-balanced and delightful. I tried almost all the food items, which were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Here i would pertinent mention the great service done by Mr Nabeel owner of the restaurant Overall, I highly recommend Haiderabad Express for anyone looking to enjoy Indian Pakistani style food. Ordered from here once and may Allah increase their efforts but never again. Whatever the menu price is remember to increase it 1.5 times. So if an item is $9, it's actually $14. Anyways, they didn't tell me until after I paid, which I can live with, but after I took it home, butter chicken barely had chicken, and the chicken Biryani also which I paid $14 for barely had meat. For honest context it was rice with a thigh. I don't like to leave bad reviews at a brother's restaurant but I had to be honest ♥️
The food at Hyderabad express is finger-licking good!!! Service is super polite and efficient and portions are amazing! Definitely one of my favourite restaurants for sure!
Chicken Biryani; Rice: Way below mediocre taste. Chicken: extremely dry and not tasty Chaana Masala: Way below mediocre taste Price is ok for the portion but the taste is not good. How does this restaurant have a 4.6 stars rating?
The ambience is pretty basic... The food was okayish.. could have more spices as per authentic Hyderabad taste.. the mint chutney was tasty...
The Chana Masala was the best out of what I bought. The taste was nice and balanced. The beef and potato curry was good and the beef pieces were very soft, decent amnt of beef chunks and the gravy was a bit on the thick side but was still good. The Chicken Biryani was decent but I like mine less busy (less seasoned). It had a drumstick and a thigh. The samosas (veggie and chicken) are a 1/5 stars, tasted like nothing but yet very spiced dense and microwaved when served in store, making it soggy with oil. It leads me to believe that the oil is not hot enough when frying and/or they need to stop microwaving and maybe invest in a toaster oven cause soggy samosas with all that competition out there now, is unacceptable. The packing of the naans were lazy, just shoved in a brown papebag so it was hard as a rock by the time I brought it home. Most places would foil the hot naans so it stays warm and soft. Also it tasted store bought. I may go back to try the Palak paneer and daal makhani since the actual dishes were not offensive.
For halal & reasonable prices, this restaurant is great option in downtown. I tried a few items here. I strongly recommend Chicken biriyani & Lamb Shank. You won't regret trying these two items, in my opinion. And friendly service is another positive side & they are also very quick. They'll serve in a few minutes. Food & service 10/10. So, if you live nearby or come to this area, definitely try these two items.
I recently visited Hyderabad Express and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Now let's talk about the food - it was simply amazing! The flavors were authentic and the dishes were prepared to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the biryani and the haleem, which were both bursting with flavor. Apart from these their best dish is Lamb Shank and Chicken tikka is a must try.The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hyderabad Express and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, authentic Indian-Pakistani cuisine food. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back again soon!
Salam alilkom, I like this restaurant because it clean and the food nice ,but why still take tax should be no more Tax from 12.12.2012 be careful this is cheating us I asked lam and ric Birayne 17 dollars the girl took it 19 and before two day I took it birayne with qurter lig chicken 10 dollars and I paid 11.30 no more Tax please...

The taste of biryani is good and price is very reasonable. However the place is kind of not hygienic so be careful.
Hyderabad Express is a great take out option for Pakistani / Indian food. We ordered veg and non-veg thali - the curries were delicious but fairly spicy so be warned if you dont like spicy food. Strongly recommend chicken biryani as a side. Portions are very generous and single thali can feed two for light supper.
Do not buy the lamb Shank here , tasteless and horrible.

Tandoori was definitely tasty and also the butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. I had two issues and that s the reason for 2 stars. 1. TOO MUCH COLOR!!!! In Tandoori and Tikka. 2. Why Just why on earth would a restaurant send me a frozen naan which is warmed up. I can even tell you the Brand of Naan that you are using. It s Haldiram s Garlic Naan. I don t order food from restaurants to eat FROZEN Food!!!!!

I buy chicken biryani, lamb shank, butter chicken, and large Samosa twice a month, sometimes once a week, a salute to the chefs, it is Super Delicious Food, Im too lazy to cook and cant cook, lucky to find this food near my house, the price is rational for Downtown, my daughter and my husband favourite is butter chicken and samosas, I highly recommend, Yummy Yummy
Hyderabad express is best halal restaurant as delicious meal prepared here. Every food has its own taste but chicken biryani and tandoori chicken are the most delicious food here. In addition, Chana masala(chick pea) is awesome.

They have the most authentic Hyderabadi Khatti Dal. I have tried almost dozen other dishes, to name a few, are: Lamb Shank, Goat Paya, Nihari, Aloo Keema, Bhindi Masala, Aloo baingan, Chicken & Beef Biryani etc. The magic is in the hands of their Chef Hasan Talib, who is a master chef, really knows how to bring perfection in whatever he cooks. The other thing you must try is their Samosas, Vegetable, Beef & Chicken with a unique blend of in-house chutney along with Cardamom tea. You need to experience the taste yourself atleast once.

My dad (Ashfaq) and I had the chicken and veg samosa which was awesome, really loved the chilly honey sauce as it went super well with it. Definitely give it a try along with the chicken biryani
One of the best biryani s I ve had in downtown. The rice and chicken were packed with flavour giving it that authentic biryani taste which is quite hard to find these days. Portion size are also generous and the owner s were very friendly. Would try their biryani again and definitely recommend a friend!! 10/10

I ordered the biryani special earlier this week. During the short wait, I chatted with the owner about the other dishes on the menu and the samosas and variety of soft drinks selection. The biryani is delicious, a great price and portion. Had dinner that night and leftovers for lunch the last two days. I will definitely be going back to try out the other options! For the price it s really good!! The samosa had pretty good filling and tasted good, for this price this was probably one of the really good biryanis but still I will say their samosa and biryani wasn t the best and I have had better. Biryani spice level could improve and the samosa felt a bit soggy but not too bad. It was decent

We had a huge family dinner for Eid this weekend and we ordered food from Hyderabad Express; thank goodness we did, the food was incredible! The portions were more than adamant with lots to spare even after everyone tucked in several times. This won t be the last time I ll be having my dinner catered from here!

I got Chicken Briyani from them today for the first time and it was really worth the money.I wouldn t say the flavours were hyderabadi but it tasted like Pakistani Briyani, (Silver Spoon). It was good and sufficient amount. In my neighbourhood this place was very affordable. Thank you!

I tried the chicken biriyani and beef biriyani on Friday s special. While the chicken biriyani was decent, the beef biriyani was a major disappointment. The lack of salt and overall blandness made it the worst beef biriyani I have ever tasted. The beef pieces were also not up to par, further adding to the disappointment. Overall, the beef biriyani was a disaster.

Great Taste And Affordable Tiffin Service
I get food from here very often. Only tried two items so far-biryani (beef and chicken) and haleem. Both dishes exceeded my expectations in terms of taste. The portions are very generous. The best biryani in Toronto, comes close to the most authentic Mughalai biryani as it s supposed to taste. Most restaurants in Toronto make the biryani like masala Pulao rice. My only suggestion for improvement would be that they must be clear about prices. Their daily special biryani costs $7.99. The last time I walked into buy the daily special biryani which was beef that day, I was charged $12.99. Honestly even at 12.99 it s still a worthwhile deal as their portion size is good for two people but it s best to pursue honesty. Regardless of whether the daily special biryani is beef or chicken, it should cost $7.99 as is publicised by them. I am looking forward to trying more dishes from this restaurant. The gentlemen in this restaurant are always courteous and kind. Please keep up the same quality and portions of food which is why people will continue to come back.
