Oh. Nuthouse was perfect. I had looked for hisbicus flower all over Niagara but to no avail. I went to dufferin in toroto and there was nuthouse. Walked into the store and it was flowing with hisbiscus flowers. Nuthouse is filled with lots of herbs and traditional medicine that will heal you naturally.

I have been going to this place since last 7 years and they have all the varieties in nuts and allied items. The quality is very good and the prices are also reasonable for the high quality stuff you buy. They are very helpful and courteous. Even though they are located on the west end of Toronto downtown, I still prefer to go to them all the way from Scarborough every 2 months. Highly recommended!

Nuthouse is something of a Bloordale institution, for good reason. While it should come as no surprise that they have a great selection of some of the tastiest and freshest nuts in town they offer so much more. They are our go-to for fresh, always top-quality free range eggs. Yes, they’re more expensive than eggs produced at industrial scale farms, but they are no more expensive here than at major grocery stores. And they really do taste so much better, so even if you can’t afford to buy them all the time you really should consider treating yourself now and then. Nuthouse also has a great selection of foods in bulk, including a wide variety of grains and seeds, peanut butter and an equally good selection of cooking oils in bulk (you can bring your own reusable containers for the oils, or get one on-site for a $2 deposit). But without question our primary go-to at Nuthouse is their fabulous, very reasonably priced coffee. We’re not sure how they’ve managed to keep the price consistent in spite of wild inflation in whole coffee bean prices at other places, but we’re thrilled that they’ve done so. Their consistently delicious Ethiopian Yigacheffe (light roast) beans are $14.99/lb ($3.30/100g) - an outstanding value in today’s market. And their Cherry Bomb beans (medium roast) are $16.99/lb ($3.75/100g) - a great deal for a really good coffee. And there are a lot of other very cool products at Nuthouse, so many that sometimes we just have to put our blinders on and stick to our list so we don’t impulse buy too many things! They also encourage people to bring their own containers for bulk products in order to reduce waste. Highly recommended.

maybe it's a four and a half. could update the sound system for a wider stage. but not a sonos, nothing like that. nice to have the old amp n boxes. it's a cranston. not many fresh fruits and vegetables like apples and bananas and their chocolate tastes like the shop but we love this place in the neighborhood. we like that you have to close the door. feels domestic. we go all the time for fish cans n health bred. bone broth. it's not even that it feels domestic. it's like, everything is so easy these days. bring a little bit of care to public spaces. bananas and apples are great, we actually want them to have those. we like how the walnut gets snow on it, on the top, so it looks kind of like an acorn. It's cool, it's cool, it's cool. one time we went in there and, you know, we was looking for the yogurt, but the one that we normally get wasn't there, but then we went hey, they have like five different kinds. now we have a different kind that we use. they have changed our yogurt life. we are sure it's like three times more expensive. now the new shop that opened up down the street (not affiliated with the NH) is a little weird everyone knows that. anyway we think the margueretta mix is a little dated, we know that's a bit controversial. but they used to have these sticky corn things in there. they got rid of em! now we're tokyo about 2x / week, maybe it's a three

Nuthouse is great. I used to go to Bulk Barn but I did a price comparison and all the things I was buying (outside of the brown rice) were cheaper at Nuthouse. The place is easy to navigate, is COVID safe, has recyclable packaging material (you can bring your own jars and the bags previously used), and the people who work there are always great help and fast with the check out. This is my new bulk store.

This place is an absolute gem. I m not a neighbourhood resident, though I regularly make plans to go to Nuthouse specifically. The intention to reduce waste is clear with the ample variety of high quality goods in bulk, including harder-to-find bulk items such as maple syrup and chipotle powder! The team is knowledgeable and friendly, and there s often great music playing. I love it!

So happy to find this place! Ive been trying to minimize my waste for the past couple of years. I was finding it difficult to do in my old neighbourhood because nothing like this store was accessible to me. Imagine my joy when moving to the Bloordale neighbourhood to find a grocer like this. You can bring your own containers for filling. They have a tare system at the front of the store where you can calculate the weights of your containers before shopping. They have lots of great products from flours, dried foods, spices and most cooking essentials. They even has epson salts! The woman working there was also very pleasant and kind which is incredible in such strenuous of circumstances. Thank you to this store for existing and creating good for this world; Thank you to the essential workers feeding our communities and taking care of us! You guys are the real MVPS.

I ve recently discovered this store and am so thankful it exists! There aren t any similar options in the immediate neighbourhood. It seems like a small store but they have a big selection of organic foods and drinks and a lot of bulk items including nut butters, coffee, olive oil, maple syrup, honey, etc. which are harder to come by in other bulk stores I have shopped at. I appreciate the commitment to waste reduction, primarily via the assortment of bulk items on offer. They have a weigh scale upfront for customers to weigh their own containers before filling them which is very convenient. Staff have been super friendly and helpful whenever I have visited. I highly recommend this store!
