At this Mongolian chain eatery, diners cook meat & vegetables in broth at the table.
I checked other reviews and found that many people reported the same symptoms as I did: feeling extremely thirsty with a dry throat after eating, along with diarrhea and vomiting. This is genuinely alarming. If you care about your health, I strongly advise against choosing this restaurant. It’s outrageous! My friend vomited immediately after the meal, and I ended up with severe diarrhea, constantly running to the restroom. On top of all this, the prices are not affordable, offering very poor value for money. The overall dining experience was utterly unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend dining at this restaurant. After eating here, I felt extremely uncomfortable, and it upset my stomach. The soup base was overly salty, with an unbalanced flavor that completely overwhelmed the taste of the dishes. On top of that, the ingredients didn’t seem fresh, which not only affected the texture but also raised concerns about hygiene. Overall, it was a terrible dining experience, not worth the price—definitely a place to avoid. The service, however, was decent. The staff were relatively friendly and responsive. While the food and flavors left much to be desired, the polite and patient attitude of the servers slightly made up for the disappointment. They handled ordering and serving with professionalism and were quick to address customer needs. That said, even good service couldn’t salvage the overall poor experience.
I’m a fan of Happy Lamb Hot Pot (Little Lamb) since the original location in Scarborough area. So glad that they opened new location in Chinatown Toronto. At first this location started with serving at the table style restaurant but now they turn to old fashion style as their original location. More fun to serve and choose your own ingredients by yourself. New buffet lunch hour for $21.99/ person plus tax and tips from 11:30-3:00. I think is very reasonable price for hot pot buffet now a day. Compare to other brands of hot pot in Toronto, I love the Happy Lamb more than any other. All inclusive except if you love shrimps or seafood you got to pay more for dinner price. But for me one big plate of sliced lamp is enough or you can choose beef. You can get pork or chicken by yourself from the buffet stand. Service is great, clean plates and utensils, drinks so much variety to choose from. Worth every penny that you spend in the restaurant. Whatever you can fill in your stomach. At the end there are mini soft serve ice cream for you to choose from chocolate or vanilla. Love it ❤️ and will got back often Winter is coming and this place is great to spend the time with friends and family to share the hot meal.
Lunch all you can eat promo is definitely a good deal. Soup base is already included in the price and also the complimentary softserve. Mushroom soup is nice. There are not many food options but they pretty much have all of the common ones and they are fresh. It's a bit quiet for a hotpot place but the vibe is not my main concern.
This is my favourite hotpot restaurant in the city. They recently renovated so you can grab as many fresh ingredients as you like on your own, there’s a new drinks station, and new hot food station. I am always so impressed by the quick service and variety of food. The clear broth is my go-to choice and highly recommend. I always leave here with a full and happy stomach, I will definitely be back!!
Ive passed by this place so many times and finally tried it recently! Love that they have a cooked food section for me to start off cuz i was starving. Then i headed over to the self serve section for seafood and veggies. Meat they brought to our table so its not melting! The spicy soup could be spicier. Difficult to flag down server.
Surprisingly delicious hot pot buffet! Ingredients extremely fresh/crisp and on ice. The seating arrangement is very comfortable with room to spare. Selection of flavourful broth range from savoury to very spicy, caution advised when selecting spice level! The fresh brewed ice tea is perfect blend of tea, citrus and sweetness. Wheelchair accessible. I didn’t know boiled meat could be this good, assembly required 😆
I have eaten Happy Lam Hot Pot in Missisauga and was very impressed there, very satisfied. I thought it would be the same at this address because it is in the same restaurant chain. However, this place is completely different from Happy Lam Hotpot in Missisauga. Today (Aug 9, 2024) i ate here with my friend. we chose the “spicy and sour” hotpot and the “clear” hotpot. we mainly ate vegetables, and ordered pork twice. everything was very good and delicious, we had a full meal. however, after leaving the restaurant about 20 minutes we had severe stomach pain and diarrhea. my friend and I had diarrhea 3 times and the stomach pain still hasn't stopped, it's horrible. there is definitely a problem with the food here, everyone should be careful when choosing to eat here. I will not come back here and recommend everyone not to come here to eat for your health.
Probably one of the best choices for ayce hot pot in China town. A very large ingredients list and and the lamb and beef are pretty good quality. Sometimes you get a taste of freezer burn at other places, but none of that here. Ordering is a little hit or miss and depends on how good you are at flagging someone to take your order sheet. But the ingredients come quite quickly with the robot delivering everything. Edit: came back this year and they’ve definitely modernized. You choose all your own ingredients from a section at the back, buffet style now. Very good selection and just the normal menu is more than enough choice. Included in that is unlimited drinks and a small section for hot food. They also have premium ingredients they can bring to you now, such as premium slices of lamb and beef. They def taste higher quality and the lamb cuts are pretty tender.
Terrible food. The price was the same as last year but the quality went down by a lot. Tofu and garlic chicken were spoiled. The soup was entirely soup paste and extremely salty. The paste wasnt even fully dissolved when they brought up the pot . It tastes bad and is not worth it. Don t go there. The soup is washed, the frozen meat rolls are very poor, and many of the dishes outside are not fresh. They are much worse than what you ordered when you originally ordered them.
Very nice place, 1 st time trying a hot pot. They are Very welcoming
Tastes really good
Very delicious! Excellent value for money
Pure vibes and pure good Korean food
Clean and tidy. Good service and food is delicious.
High quality food and soup. Having a nice awesome dinning experience with my family!
The buffet tastes good and the environment is very good. I will eat here again next time
Ive been here before they rebranded and am happy to report that overall I think theyve improved from their previous set up. I like that you can serve yourself for most things now, before if I wanted something I risked getting way too much of it and getting full before I tried a bit of everything I wanted. Now, I can eat exactly the right amount of the things I want to eat, and am not restricted by my partners choices. I like the expanded food choices as well such as cow tongue and tendon. A couple things I do miss, is the soy milk and the handmade noodles. The noodles used to be one of my favourite items, but theyre a lot smaller and have a hard texture now no matter how long you boil it for. The old handmade noodles were way better. Also, while its nice that theres free ice cream, it tastes weird and watery.
Is it the reverse operation to give good reviews? I ate so much that I had diarrhea in the middle of the night and my mouth was dry! I couldn t stand it anymore, so I got up and wrote a review! The environment is poor, the food is poor, and what s even more frightening is that it s suspected that everything is done by technology. The mutton and beef don t have the normal meat taste, and the sauces don t taste as they should... except for vegetables, you can eat meat normally (without technology). Enjoy your meal! At the checkout I even saw the frozen beef on a cardboard covering the trash can! (I didn t dare to take a picture!) Except for Yan Xian, it s Yan! I suspect that in order to make people drink water crazily and paralyze the poor quality of the food, they cant eat or drink at all... The bottom of the pot is hard to describe. The pot bottom bought in the supermarket has more flavor than it. Its really not a bad review for the sake of bad reviews, but a good review. I was really helpless. I went with my friends and farted home together after eating. There was a stink in my mouth every time I opened my mouth. I didn t want to complain about the service attitude. There were not many people in sight except the kitchen. The whole store in the front hall added up. Just two guys, plus a half-dead robot... (its really labor-saving). The hygiene of the store, the shoes on the floor are sticky, you will believe the pulling feeling... friction and friction, it is the pace of the devil! For those of you who don t believe it, just go and eat. This is a permanently blocked restaurant... This is the first time I ve given a bad review.
Big shoutout for the birthday discount!
Friendly service, affordable buffet and tasty food.
Incredible experience. For a very low price, hot pot buffet, you will get access not only to the usual meats like beef, tongue, pork, lamb or chicken but also to a huge variety of meats and veggies like cow throat, frog legs, intestines, baby squid, tripe, kelp, lotus roots and many, many others. Even the list of deserts is huge!
Staff was amazing , food was delicious and priced very well , 10/10 would go again with a more hungry appetite
I have been coming here for over 5 years and it has recently gone through a big renovation that improved the experience even more! You can pick your own veggies and toppings for the hotpot with their new buffet area and also have unlimited soda/desserts. I highly recommend coming to this place. Also, Andy (the owner) is such a kind person, he s always willing to improve your experience however he can.
Good beef with happy lamb. Try the sauce combination with sesame, chilli oil, garlic, soya sauce, green onions and cilantro. game changer, delicious with the beef and the happiest of the lambs.
The menu just got updated! Super
very good place. Kid-friendliness: Food : 5/5 |
The food is delicious and the staff in the store are very attentive.
Amazing food and service<3
All good food, services
First time eating at this location Happy Lamb, Sept 10th for dinner around 8pm. I gave it a shot with my partner as he was raving about it, but he had last gone a few years back. When we got there I noticed it was buffet style food so I was careful with what I was picking and choosing. Some meat I saw had been sitting out for a while (discoloured) and some of the tripe didnt look that great. Ordered the tomato and spicy hot soup, but upon leaving the restaurant maybe 30 mins after I got major stomach pains, I could barely breathe and was close to puking with severe nausea. I had walked it off but this morning after Im encountering stomach pains, diarrhea, and dizzy spells. I dont recommend coming here, unfortunately it was not a good decision and Im regretting it. Take your money elsewhere and enjoy your meal properly.
delish with lots of options and reasonable price for lunch too ! will definitely come back !
amazing place! came with my friends and had their lunch special. food and soup was delicious and had a wide range of food even for just a lunch menu! would definitely come again! thank you happy lamb hot pot!
the service was great! very good selection even for the lunch special (21.99 + tax between 11am-3pm)! had a great time here with friends. plus it was very casual, with a cooled bar where you could select your own toppings and meats on your own :)) would recommend to everyone again!
A good place to hang out with friends.
Have a happy time here, food was nice
Good!
Good food
very delicious
Good selection and good value for money!
Very delicious, a variety of food to choose from
I love this place!
Come often, very affordable
Very good service! The server (Karen) was so nice, attentive and friendly. I enjoyed for my first time going there.
best hot pot in the city. reasonably priced
Lively place with delicious food that is easy in the wallet!
Today (9th August 2024) I had a lunch meal with my friend at this place and I got diarrhea 3 times after having this meal. This was the worst experience for me ever. Only 10 minutes after this meal, I went to the washroom due to the pain and was still thinking it was just a normal stomach ache but it became worser when I was travelling on subway 2 times later when my stomach was still in pain and I had to find the nearest public washroom to handle it otherwise it would turn into a nightmare.
Perfect service ,good food but the place not very clean
One of my favourite spots! The staff are super friendly and the food is amazing!
Great food and service.
Great experience! It was my first time having hot pot. They were very, very good with gluten-free and being able to accommodate me having coeliac disease. The all you can eat hot pot option was super filling. The service was great. Dietary restrictions: Very good at helping navigate gluten-free options. Almost everything could be accommodated, but none of the sauces were gluten-free.
Went for the lunch all you can eat deal for $21.99. Good selection of food, yummy broth and much better service than your average Chinese restaurant (they kept adding broth to my pot, broth, not just water). Very happy with my first visit, cant wait to come back again.
Garbage food, terrible service, dirty restaurant. If that s not enough it expensive
Pretty good service and the beef is so good!!
Reasonable price for good food! I really love their wood ear mushroom appetizer. Would love to go there again.
Great experience loved the food and the little robot server!
Very bad attitude towards customers Poor service quality Compulsory tipping of 10% (cannot refuse without explanation)
Loved their mushroom broth!! Will def come back again with more people this time
Every time is such a treat. Delicious. Vegetarian options: LOTS of different kinds of tofu, noodles and veggies Food : 5/5 |
ate here the first time, and definitely will be coming back! great food, wonderful desserts and affordable prices! $30 per person, all you can eat! definitely will be coming back very soon! my new favourite place to eat :)
Absolutely delicious, the best hot pot in the city-- the broths are all so good, the meat is high quality, the veggies are crisp and fresh. Tons of choices. A perfect meal for special occasions, you dont want to skip this place!!
Very friendly staff, good selection of meats and seafoods, decent sides/ desserts, good sauce bar Overall great place, but other ayce hotpot places do offer a more extensive menu Food
The hot pot tastes OK, but the service of bringing out the dishes is a bit slow. After selecting the ingredients for the first round, it took quite a while for them to arrive, and they were missing a few items. However, the waitstaff were pretty enthusiastic; after talked to her, the issue was solved.
It is one of the best hot pots in the city. How can you go wrong with a robot bringing you your food? You will smell like hot pot when you leave, so the pro tip is to not wear nice clothes and leave you coat in the car.
Food is ok quality, what really sets this place apart is their awful service. Or should I say lack of service? I ordered a drink twice and it didn t arrive. No check up on our service. Server was no where to be seen. And they had the audacity to add gratuity included on a table of four as if they know this would be an issue. Certainly would not recommend! Looking forward to their response, I spoke to our server saying service was poor and he looked right past me.
staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was exceptional.
PLEASE OPEN ON TIME I M STARVING OUT HERE
Decent hotpot place in Chinatown. Food is fine.
Fair price. Authentic lamb hot pot from China. Lamb is highly recommended. Some food served by Robot, a very cute cat. Great place for gatherings.
Amazing
Staff arent attentive, and most of the time seem annoyed serving you food. Great taste, good selection, costs about 30 for one, cheaper than Moral Village across the street (dont go there its horrible) If you like hot pot this is your best choice in the area.
Delicious as always! Great value for money!
Great price and great vibe Beer and hot pot were a great combo Recommended dishes
Really good! ! Delicious! Service is also good
Kid-friendliness: Not recommended for kids!! Wheelchair accessibility: Yes! Food : 5/5 |
Good service
The meat quality is very good wwww especially the mutton, it is indeed a happy lamb
The food is bad, the taste is bad, the service is so-so, the food is super stale, the bullfrog and sausages feel bad. I felt nauseated for several days after eating it. Been there once and will never go again.
Happy lamb is a sad lamb. Honestly one of the worst hotpot place I ve been to ever. The food isn t fresh at all and I had such bad stomach ache after. I wouldn t recommend at all. Price is fair but not worth for all the pain I went through after.
This is the best hot pot place Ive ever been to and Im a huge fan of hot pot! There are a ton of options for ingredients to add to your hot pot, you wont be disappointed. There is also a buffet area where you can grab sauces, some appetizers and dessert. The waitress was also very friendly. Just a heads up, its pretty expensive but 200% worth it! I wish I lived in Toronto so I could go here more
Food was fast and good. Service is average. Atmosphere is so so. We paid $90 for two. Price is expensive compared to others.
Nice food, but survice is a piece of St
The rare all-you-can-eat spicy hotpot is very good and the service attitude is also very good
Love this place for hot pot! Really fun with a group.
I just had lunch there by myself, it was pretty pleasant:) The food looks fresh and clean, tastes good too. As a meat lover, I like their lamb the most, beef and chicken were also appetizing. Servers were friendly and helpful, my requests were all met with accuracy and efficiency. The environment was nice, everything was maintained properly as far as I saw. Prices were fair, it caters to both groups and individual diners--all soup bases come with individual portion options. For your reference: I was billed at $28.xx in total after tax for the weekday lunch. Dinner would be $9-10 higher for a wider food selection. Tips not included. I enjoyed it and would love to come back next time. A small tip: be cautious when you mix your own bowl of dipping sauce, the soup base is already quite flavorful, It could get a bit salty if you add too much flavor in the sauce.
Best hot pot
Good experience, good food
For the price you pay, the food is not bad at all. Fresh, fast service, and cool robot delivering service inside.
I love that you can customize your own sauce. It really adds a personal touch to the meal.
Happy Lamb Hot Pot was the perfect choice for our Mothers Day celebration. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this spot!
fish fillets are so fresh and tasty. I highly recommend them.
My first hot pot experience and it did not disappoint! The broth was delicious and the selection of meats and veggies was fantastic. Will definitely be back!
I was blown away by the quality of the ingredients at Happy Lamb Hot Pot. The beef was so tender and the mushrooms were fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend!
Happy Lamb Hot Pot is a great spot for a family meal. The kids love being able to customize their own hot pot, and theres something for everyone on the menu. The spinach and mushroom are especially tasty.
I came to Happy Lamb Hot Pot with a group of friends and we had a blast. The communal dining aspect was so fun and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend!
This is the perfect spot for a casual date night. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend the spicy butter hotpot.
Exellent service, the best bit was the cat robo waiter, nya. My service dog was like: Hewwo, wot is dat?!
The lamb skewers are a must-try. Theyre tender and juicy and packed with flavor.
Love Happy Lamb restaurant , the food is really good I got the regular base soup which is not spicy , various kind of meats and veggies that you can choose from. You will get drinks such as soy milk and dessert which is ice cream They serve alcohol which is a plus .
We did not order vegetable yet, but they brought out a whole table full, trying to fill us up. Not the best hotpot place I would recommend. If you do come here, you have to really watch what they are giving you and send back the stuff you didnt order.
The house beef tenden balls are a must-try at Happy Lamb Hot Pot. Theyre so flavorful and the texture is perfect. The BBQ lamb shanks are also amazing.
Loved the food!
The price is reasonable comparing with what we get. There are huge portion of beef and lamb. Recommend the tomato soup and sour soup. Should order watercress to eat along with the beef. I will find the better dipping sauce next time. The chili oil and chili sauce are not spicy at all.
I tried the curry broth for the first time and was blown away. So flavorful and delicious!
Great price, food and service
flavors are so delicious and the texture of the meat is always spot-on. The staff is also very accommodating and helpful.
I love the interactive dining experience at Happy Lamb Hot Pot. Its great to be able to customize my meal and cook the ingredients to my liking.
this is my go-to spot for a warm and satisfying meal.
Ive been to Happy Lamb Hot Pot with both friends and family, and its always a hit. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the hot pot is always delicious. Highly recommend the tomato broth.
The mussels at Happy Lamb Hot Pot are a hidden gem. Theyre so plump and fresh and add a nice seafood twist to the meal.
The yin yang broth is my favorite and the lamb skewers are always cooked to perfection
This place has quickly become my favorite spot for hot pot. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the food is always spot on. Love the spicy butter broth!
Love this place, with this price I didn t expect this much high quality beef and lamb. We ordered tomato and hot soup base, both are very delicious! Will come back again.
We loved the variety of meats and vegetables
Such a wonderful space! The food is regularly well prepared and flavorful, staff members gives awesome service. I loved how neat it is and atmosphere.
I ve been to the warden location and decided to check this location too. We came on a weekday evening and it was not so busy, so there was no seating time limit. To place an order, there is a menu sheet that you hand in to a server, and then a robot server will bring out the ingredients to your table. There is a self serve section where you can mix your own spices for hotpot sauce, and a snackbar with some fruits and desserts. We ordered a large pot with half clear broth and half spicy butter - the latter has mala flavor with numbing spicy taste. It was good but I recommend getting a clear broth and then making a custom spicy sauce. Some of the pre cooked items on the menu tasted a little odd, such as the custard bun and sesame ball - usually these taste soft, but when we tried it, it had a hard layer on the outside. The servers were super friendly and helped explain to us about some menu items. Overall I think it s great value for the price.
The taste is mediocre. If you haven t had hot pot for a long time, it s okay. I don t recommend it.
The mushroom broth is my favorite and the meat selection is always top notch.
GREAT HOTPOT! Nice meat.. excellent service... reasonable prices!
Food is good, but service has gone really bad over time. Won t be going back to the place anymore.
A decent place for all-you-can-eat hotpot. Price is good for the quality, you can eat as much meat as you want and have 3 rounds of ordering other food for hotpot. Definitely will come back!
Authentic place!!! This is my husband s favorite place! Fantastic service and staff!
Pretty delicious food. Definitely coming back.
Bad quality food
When I ordered more they didn t give me the right amount. They also automatically charge 15% tips for a party of 2, even though there wasn t much service. We didn t realize this and gave additional tips. Food was great. I remember they give ice cream at the end, didn t get any.
Always great. Spicy butter hotpot broth is super flavorful. Menu is plentiful. Love it
My favourite hotpot place in Toronto. It s amazing value, service is excellent, and a wide range of offerings
This is a cost-effective hot pot restaurant! The hall is quite large and there arent many customers, so its not too crowded. A cute robot will serve you! Definitely order and eat Shrimp paste!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Happy Lamb Hot Pot for the first time with my family, and it was such a delightful experience.
It s an ok AYCE hotpot, the interior seems a little dull, service is quite good they re very friendly, they also had that cute robot machine server which was a slay. However, we have to pay for the extra broth for our hotpot, which was got us confused. All of the hot pot we went to don t charge for it, unless there are AYCE hotpot that does that too. Overall, it s aight.
This place was bliss. Probably because my first time trying Hot Pot. However, it was just super delicious, super fast service and clean, and great preparation. The food is very fresh and delicious. Please see my photos attached for more info Vegetarian options: Less options for veg Dietary restrictions: If you have allergies this place is NO for you. Dont even try everything will have allergens. Parking: Paid street parking is mostly available. Kid-friendliness: I dont think they have a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is big enough and have a good setting in the restaurant allowing our wheelchair or stroller friends to get in comfortably.
As someone who loves spicy food, I was excited to try Happy Lamb Hot Pots spicy butter hotpot. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
Cute little robot delivers your food. The broths were good and all the food was fresh.
Very good price for all you can eat. Good selection is good, Sonia it s service.
Hot pot was such a fun experience- very interactive! I loved having my own soup to cook unlimited items in. For all you can eat downtown Toronto, I thought it was a reasonable price (especially if you can eat a lot). I recommend coming with lots of time to eat and bringing a large group of friends. The food ordered comes in small taster plates which is best to prevent wasting food or overeating. At they end of the meal you also get a free purple yam icecream bar which tasted like matcha- so yummy! I highly recomend this restaurant and will definitely be back!
Im not usually a fan of hot pot, but Happy Lamb Hot Pot changed my mind. Their mushroom broth is incredibly rich and savory, and the quality of the meats and seafood is top-notch.
pretty ok
Meat quality is great here.
The best Lamb Hot Pot in Toronto downtown! The food was delicious and all the ingredients were very fresh ! We had great experience with this restaurant! Would love to visit again in the future Kid-friendliness: All the kids will love the robot service they got there
Its our first and probably last time here. Our first impression was that one of the staffs is disrespectful to us, he seemed not willing to serve. We were given 3 rounds to order, therere boxes beside each category of the foods so we can put the number we want for that food, but the amount of what was brought out is just the same every time even if we put a twice as higher number in. The sauces were not refilled also, i finished my first bowl of sauce and headed to take another one and there was nothing left but peanut sauce and the spices (chili, chive, and green onion). The picture below really freaked me out. I dont even know wwhat that is but it was pulled out from inside of the mussel. Overall, it was not a good experience and we do not recommend this restaurant.
Good taste, fast service definitely will come back!
Im vegan and there were so much stuff for me to get, variety of noodles, mushrooms, corn, tofu, other vegetables. I loved it! The stuff there is so nice too!
Delicious food; however difficult to share soups with large groups as the large tables only have individual stoves. Very helpful staff that leave you alone in a kind manner.
Delicious. Great quality of meats, excellent broth, and ..friendly service! It was the first hot pot experience for a few of my friends and the server explained how the menu works. That s just very nice for a super Chinese place. We also chilled for hours and it was all good and we got free Melona bars which blew my mind. Definitely coming back and telling everybody. Don t come right at 4pm though, they might not actually be opened yet
20.99 for lunch but additional 4.99 for a soup base. The ingredients are fresh. good selection, and the meats are nicely shaved and tasty. There is also a funky robot that serves you. Only downside they seem to have gotten rid of their free drinks.
The clerk has a very bad attitude and doesnt accept customers at all
After waiting for a long time, no one greeted us. We asked the waiter if there was a seat and his attitude was very bad. He spoke to us in a very bad tone.
Good little hidden hot pot place to go to. I would definitely come here more often if I could. But sometimes it always stops me because they do not have the soy milk machine anymore. When they used to have it, I would always come regularly but not anymore now. Last time I visited they didn t even have any more soy milk left at all. A little disappointing but that s okay. The food here makes up for it and I love the tomato soup broth, it pairs really really well with the lamb slices and udon noodles.
The price is still affordable, the service is good, no waiting list, generous variety, the flavour is rich! What else you expect ? Come and try, don t forget to ask ice cream at the end of your meal!
If you have no objection to paying for $30 a head for all you can eat, and having to pay an additional $11-12 for the broth that is required to cook the meat and other ingredients for your meal, this is your place. Make sure everyone in your party brings cash or have someone willing to pay up front for everyone, as they only separate the bill when you pay cash. We did not find this out until after wed been directed to the register to pay.
I am glad you are still at this location. I used to visit with my mom for late dumplings and stam all around stuff. YUMMSSSS
Reasonable price with good food. I really like the soup base
Very friendly staff, thank you for the food and service
The variety is superb. I love the spicy red broth!!
Took a friend who never try hotpot, he loves it. Waiter and waitress are very polite and nice. Always a smile on their face. The menu has quite a variety, and probably one of the most affordable in the area.
Favorite hotpot in the city!
Food was delicious service was fast I was the prices were a little bit cheaper but it was definitely worth the cost cant afford to go there as often as I like to damn Id do it again
The meat always tastes a bit funky but I just let it slide because I m not sure what hot pot beef should taste like (if anything). The service was great, the vibes were great, however the aftermath was not. While paying the bill, the waiters gave us the bill with the tip already included and didn t discuss it or notify us first. That wasn t much of a problem and it was a reasonable tip ($30 out of a $195) a bit high but again- letting it slide. Once I got home I woke up in the middle of the night with severe nausea and stomach pain. I m sure it wasn t something like the meat wasn t cooked enough because unless that piece of meat is so shrunk and looks like there s no more life to boil out of it, I wouldn t eat it (basically I don t eat it unless I make sure it s thoroughly cooked). I m not sure what the issue is I will still have to ask my doctor about it, however I m pretty sure it was food poisoning. I suspect their meats weren t kept at the right temperature. The guy at the cashier asked us if we wanted desert and gave us some melona so that was nice- but again, the pain I went through was not nice.
Dietary restrictions: Staff are not knowledgeable when it comes to dietary restrictions. Recommended dishes
The fat male waiter wearing glasses must have reached menopause. I haven t seen such a service attitude in many years.
Friendly staff, good portion of the cut meat when we got the all you can eat option. A truly authentic Chinese hotpot experience. I particularly enjoyed the house made meat balls and potato noodles and the hot and sour soup base.
Service was a bit slow, but food was good.
It was way too spicy and the food made me dehydrated for two days and gave me a cough. I recommend the soup base that is not hot and spicy, so you can eat more. The waiter is a total loser.
Amazing tomato soup base. Affordable price. Lovely staff
Charming Chinatown hot pot joint tucked into a multi-unit building just steps away from Dundas. A quiet, unassuming interior leaves the stage open for perfectly seasoned broth, a variety of finely prepped and house made meats, veg, dumplings, meatballs, and other mix-ins. The spicy broth came loaded with chili peppers, Sichuan pepper, and whole garlic cloves that rendered deliciously into the broth. Service was friendly and efficient, with wait staff welcoming and seating patrons and then handing food deliveries off to a cheerful ambling delivery robot.
Entered an empty restaurant and was told that Since its the weekend, dinner price would apply for lunch. Very misleading.
Great experience overall, everything was fresh and tasted amazing!
Had lunch here and the food was great. I got the clear broth and the tomato one and both were delicious! The little cat robot that brought our hot pot ingredients is super cute as well
