Tried their ice cream with dippings and toppings. Store had a lot of variety, however the server put such a small amount of topping and the dipping flavor we chose tasted a bit off. The whole ice cream lacked flavour and I had to throw it away. Such a waste of money

Very good icecream

I ve visited this ice cream parlour a few times and always enjoyed the experience. The concept of dipping your ice cream in melted chocolate with a variety of toppings is usually exciting. However, visit with my family earlier today, who was visiting, was disappointing. The server was extremely cold and unwelcoming. Although she did ask if we had been there before, it felt like she just wanted to rush through the interaction. When my mum asked to taste the Cookie Monster ice cream, the server gave her a tiny, dot-sized sample (literal dot), which felt dismissive. We had to ask three times for a chocolate drop on my mum s ice cream, rolling her eyes in the process. My other family members made their requests patiently, but the server continued to be rude, and in a rushed manner, even though there were no other customers only while we were getting ready to leave. Given that we spent $30, the poor service left a bad impression. While the ice cream itself was fine, I m hesitant to recommend this place based on the service we received.

Liked the ice cream but didnt like the service.

This location scammed me out of my money. I purchased a cake off their website. I received a call a few hours later stating they do not have the cake in stock. As I went to ask how I can order another cake or receive a refund, the worker hung up in my face. I called back and explained my situation only to be hung up in the face again.

The ice cream is consistently good;however, the reason for my rating is due to the service. The staff are nice but are always under staffed. Not too many customers but you ll wait long because there is only 1 person working.

The weirdest experience I have ever had, The girl who works at night is very shady and weird, I gave her $50 bucks she said she doesn t have change and you have to buy something else, I asked if I can get popcorns. All of a sudden she gave me change without giving popcorns. And she didn t say anything just walked out. Please Don t work if you can t be nice.

I have to say my first experience here was disappointing. The milkshake I received looked nothing like the picture it was very milky and liquidy with very little ice cream, and the lotus biscoff component was just some of the biscuit crumbled in, it didnt have lotus biscoff butter in it like most lotus biscoff milkshakes Ive had at other restaurants. The promotional posters also showed whipped cream and syrup on top of the shakes, but my milkshake didnt have those components. I was looking forward to this, however I think the close to 8 dollar price tag (including the tax) was not reflective of the quality of the product. La dipperie should work on ensuring its products match its marketing as a gourmet dessert shop.

It was the first time I ordered here, and I asked for the ice cream sandwich which is clearly listed as $6.50 on the menu. The lady who worked there asked me to choose the ice cream, dip and toppings. She then proceeded to overcharge me. I asked her why it was so much and she said it was because I chose an ice cream, when I wasn t even told that I would be charged extra for it. I told her I should have been charged according to what s listed on the menu, but she just brushed it off. I even asked the other staff member why I was charged so much just for an ice cream sandwich and she didn t know. I called other locations to inquire about this and they all told me that I should have been charged according to the menu and that customers cannot choose the ice cream. I was charged unfairly and I am very disappointed with the service. I wouldn t recommend this location to anyone as the staff don t even seem to know the pricing policy.

Me and my boyfriend where there for the first time and the girl working was so rude, we were looking at the items as it was our first time we werent sure what to get, the girl was in a rush to get back to her phone and keep saying we have the same flavor as always is not that much she literally just wanted us to decide and go, she didn t try to help us and we didnt ask with she being so rude, we didnt give a tip of course

We stay next to the store and often visit this place for their ice cream. Usually the owner used to work often and she is the sweetest. However nowadays for past few times that we have been there, the service has been declined especially when one particular lady works there in evening just like today- 23rd February 2024. She has always been rude and mildly racist which we ignored. However today she was just outright rude and disrespectful. It was evident she doesn t either like to work there or simply not made for customer service. I asked her for chocolate swirl, she rolled her eyes and got upset that I didn t know swirl means chocolate and vanilla mix soft serve. I took a waffle with brownie & soft serve on top, soft serve was just splashed instead of being on top of brownie. When we tried to tell her this, she just rolled her eyes and ignored. We asked for spoon, she said spoon is over and she asked us to pick up a wooden stirrer instead which is for coffee. We love this place only because I know how the owner is and her customer service is impeccable. It s a shame that it is run by such employees who do not carry on the same values and after reading all the reviews here, I am not the only one who has faced this. Please fix this as it s making a happier place dull.

Went in with great hopes for a new vegan ice cream place based on good reviews but the store was disappointing. The menu from their website and photos on Google did not reflect actual vegan options. The mango soft serve was tasty, but a regular size was $9.85 for a cup of ice cream with a pitiful sprinkling of Graham crackers and a teaspoon of coconut shavings. This wouldn t be enough to make me write a review but I was a bit fed up after slow and unenthusiastic service and a half empty cup. Would not go again based on it not being worth my money nor time, unfortunately

Probably the most racist server I have ever seen. We were standing in the queue for good 10 minutes before a group of people walked in. The server right out ignored us and started serving the group. We were standing right at the counter. I mean heights of discriminations were breached. Felt so appalled that couldn t even stand there and raise the question as to why. Toronto is diverse and open but people like these really need to be more accepting.

Easily one of the best ice cream places we ve ever visited. Friendly staff who are willing to help every step of the way - when we went for the first time, she offered to let one of us try two of the flavours without any extra charge. On top of it all, highly delicious.

Basically this place is a crowded hole in the wall. Theyve got shakes and sundaes, but it seems their specialty is soft serve with sauce shells and whatever toppings you want (almost). What a joke..store calls to tel me they dont have the item ordered...asked me to cancel the order...but Uber wont refund money because they started the order....well both Uber an La Diperie has stolen money for something that didnt even get delivered .....called the store to get help..but no one ever answers..have used them a few times but now this is just sad an feel frauded ...

Horrible! I have a nut allergy and the staff seemed to know nothing about what a nut allergy was. I had let her know about my allergy and the worker just brushed it off and told me I would be fine. I had asked her to use a different scooper to prevent cross contamination with other flavors containing nuts, and she had no concern and just scooped with the same one anyways. I later had an allergic reaction, big surprise! Not to mention when I arrived the only staff worker on shift was outside of store vaping and on her phone. She was oblivious to the fact that I was waiting outside with her not even knowing she was a worker there, I had thought that the place was closed before she quickly realized I was a customer and walked back inside to serve me. DO NOT GO HERE.

I went to this location with friends on a late Saturday night. I m vegan and one of my friends is lactose-intolerant so we were counting on the vegan options When asked the staff what vegan options they had (pointing at the menu on the wall listing those vegan options in question), I was told there was only one available: cookie dough (which is not ice cream). Then I asked if they had dairy-free sorbet options and if the mango one had milk in it, to which I was told I don t know with attitude. Quite disappointing. Also the store is very small with no seatings inside. Will not go back.

Theres this girl Stacey who works there with green hair.. shes the sweetest most kindest girl with the best customer service!!! Definitely recommend going to this location only when shes working! Otherwise theres a very rude girl working there other days

Soft serve ice-cream with a variety of toppings - not much to complain about!

This place is just below average in every aspect. I had a poor experience with the girl working. As my girlfriend and I walked in, we werent greeted. We didnt get a hello, hi, anything. Absolutely no form of acknowledgment. Thats all fine, I know sometimes you can just be in a bad mood or have an off day. However we waited for around 4 minutes before she turned around to take our order. She was making little Donuts while we were waiting. She rolled her eyes as we placed our order. I got a KitKat sundae and my girlfriend just got soft serve with chocolate sauce. It came to around 16 dollars for just that. Which is ridiculous. The store itself is crammed. Another man came in while we were in there and it was like we were sardines. I highly recommend you avoid this place. Terrible service and average ice cream you can get anywhere else, most likely for cheaper as well.

First impressions, a small but nicely organized shop with many dessert options to choose from. The service started off nice but then the lady became a bit cold for some reason and when asked if they had any forks (got mediocre crepe) they replied no without looking at me. How can an establishment not have forks?

Used a coupon in the mail for BOGO ice cream cups. We could choose between vanilla and chocolate soft serve and then there were at least 20 different options for drizzles and toppings on top of it. Super worth the price and it tasted great. Food

I tried calling this place 10 times because I forgot an item at their location, they were still open for another hour and 20 minutes and never picked up. Was calling to see if they can set aside my item but no answer. Why do you have a phone if you re not gonna pickup?

Lovely casheir! She explained all the flavours too us since it was our first time. Its a small shop, not a lot of room to sit, but we didnt mind We ended up not getting ice cream, and opted for birthday cake cookie dough. It was sooo gooood! We covered it in milk chocolate and red velvet chocolate! 10/10 flavours! It is pretty rich so we shared, but I definitely will go again and constantly crave it.

Its more of a dessert shop and not just an ice cream shop. The flavor options available are a bit lacking compared to other places but its got other options such as cakes and cookies as well. Usually pretty picky about ice cream. But this has great soft serve options you can customize. The staff were very friendly and helpful with options as well, and you can tell they actually like the things theyre selling which is always a good sign. Do wish there was more smaller cake options available, but I can only go late at night when its nearly closed so theres not as many options by then.

Fantastic ice cream shop that is located just a hundred meters from my apartment. I went there with my girlfriend yesterday with our dog. The staffs there are super friendly, and we had a great conversation too! Oh by the way, they also have dog treats in case you pass by while walking your dog!

My colleagues and I made the journey to this location numerous times between 1pm and 3:00pm during the week and it has never been open. The hours of operations clearly state that it is open at 1pm on weekdays. Also, I have asked an employee (at 6pm one day), and they stated they open at 1pm - which is clearly a lie. I recently went to the store at 2:00pm to find the store LOCKED, yet again. Additionally, I noticed an employee behind the counter sitting down (out of sight from the front door). The employee did not budge as I knocked on the front door. If you do not open at 1pm, the hours of operation need to be changed. Please make these adjustments so you can avoid tricking people.

I unfortunately had a bad first time experience here. Ive never heard of this place before but I saw people eating it and thought I would try it. The ice cream was good but the customer service was horrible. I would not go back here because of the customer service. I didnt get a welcome. I didnt know how their process worked so I had to ask a lot of questions and I was there for a while trying to figure out the menu and their prices. I asked about how toppings worked and they told me I can get unlimited but they didnt tell me I had to pay for the individual toppings!! They shouldve told me its unlimited but theres a charge. Its not like it was crowded for me to recieve such horrible customer service. Some people walked in after me and another employee welcomed them saying hi have you been here before. WHERE WAS MY WELCOME? I would prefer if the employee welcomed me like that and told me about the process. Im never coming back here nor recommending this place

I am writing in regards to a complaint that was made below by my colleague. Weve been trying to get ice cream from this location between 1-3pm. Why would you give us your email and not reply to it? We have sent two emails last week. Were you only replying to the google review for others to see you have tried to address the issue with the intention of NEVER replying to the email? That is very dishonest and is quite consistent with how this business is being run. Once again, we have tried to go there recently, and it still was not open at 1:30pm. So what will you do? Are you going to reply by telling us to email you, and then never reply? How are you going to fix this ongoing problem and your dishonesty?

La Diperie is a great little ice cream shop in Downtown Toronto. With a cute little garden space out front to sit in and enjoy your ice cream, La Diperie provides some of the highest quality ice cream in Toronto for a price that almost makes it too good to be true. I highly recommend going for the soft serve as it blew me away

Tasty and great selection. The server was attentive, patient and explained how it works. Ice cream was smooth and loved how the chocolate dip had a crunch. I liked it more than Sweet Jesus, more selection and customization. Absolutely will go again!

Although they ve got lots of options and the toppings are tasty, once you get past it, it s just regular soft serve, which is starkly plain in contrast to everything else they offer.

An amazing variety of topping choices for those who like mixing and matching, and everything is fairly priced for what you get. Overall, I enjoyed my visit!

Fun little place where they drizzle your choice of flavored chocolate sauce that hardens on the ice cream, and then you can pick toppings that go into it.

This location is awful! Who is training the workers here? I could overlook the terrible customer service, but when the product is lacking it makes it a lot harder. Why is there no vanilla soft serve? Why doesnt this location offer cones randomly? Why are the flavours constantly too low of a level to be able to dip? Isnt this place supposed to be known for pretty much one thing: vanilla soft serve and dips and cones? Why are things so unavailable here (including common sense)? So many questions...

Customer service here is terrible. Workers often arent wearing masks, are touching dirty things and then touching food. Even once the worker got upset with us for not coming inside when it clearly said 2 person limit and there were already 3 people inside. Apart from the workers, most of the time things are not working here. Often they have no soft serve, no cones, not enough dip to dip a cone, ran out of toppings etc. The workers need to be trained properly and management/owner needs to stop cutting corners. Every other La Diperie location has been pleasant, but this location is consistently the worst. Stop hiring your friends and hire competent workers! Or at the very least train them properly.

Delicious donuts and customized chocolates

One of the best soft-serves that I ve had in a long time. Wide variety of topping and add ons. They also have Cheesecake Factory s cakes. The nicest thing is the girl making ice cream as she is sweet and friendly. She guides you well and makes your experience even better. The small dine out setup is also very nice.

I ordered a small vanilla ice-cream in birthday cake dip with cotton candy sprinkles. It s certainly beautiful and the dipping adds an interesting crunchy texture to the ice-cream. However, I can t really taste the specific flavor of birthday cake or the cotton candy - they both just taste very sugary. Nice staff.

Ordered from Uber Eats and ended up messed up my order. Ordered large cups of ice creams and got medium sized and ordered 13 milkshakes got only 9 unfortunately. Very disappointed customer service.

The place is awesome! I have tried the donuts dipped in milk, dark, and ruby chocolates with a bunch of toppings: pretzels, crushed pistachios, and KitKat. Really delicious. My absolute favorite is a vanilla dipped ice cream cone in ruby chocolate with crushed Oreo! The quality of Belgian chocolate and ice cream is on point! First time here. Just came back. Spoke to owner she was very good in explainng all the goods this store has to offer. Got vanilla soft serve dipped in salted caramel chocolate with pretzels. Omg!!!! The best dipped cone I have ever had. I will return for sure. I never enjoyed a dipped cone so much. I highly recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I went for hot chocolate on chilly day. The lady working was so sweet and very funny. She explained the process of their products in great detail and how everything is good quality. She was not lying, the hot chocolates were probably some of the best we ve ever had. Highly recommend going to check them out. Great service and product.
