Lovely little Indian restaurant right in the downtown core. Sat on the patio on a very mild September eve. Akhil was a great server. Very attentive and lots of good recommendations from wine to apps to mains.

I had an amazing chicken masala at this restaurant right next to St. Lawrence Market. The dish was perfectly spiced and full of flavor. The service was friendly, and the overall experience was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful day with family enjoying tasty authentic

Had lunch there with a friend. Food was SO GOOD. Got watermelon salad, palak paneer, potato with cauliflower dish and chickpeas dish, and garlic naan. It was honestly better than food at the most highly rated Indian restaurants in the city and we will definitely be coming back. Also: staff was very friendly, service quick and attentive. Overall a really nice vibe to this restaurant.

Malai kofta used to be my fav dish at this restaurant but when I had it yesterday I felt it had gone down in quality. Didn t feel great after.

We ate outside while listening to some of the music at Market Square. The food was really good and service was fine. My only complaint is that the sign board that advertised wine on sale was not as clear as it might have been that this only referred to house wine, while I dont believe they actually list a house wine as such on the menu. So overall it cost us more than I expected, though food prices are reasonable.

This place truly defies everything that a customer expects when he/she/they decides to dine at an Indian restaurant. There are places who provide good food, good quantity at a fair price, there are also places that provide exceptional food at a higher price. But somehow, these people have managed to sell barely good food, with super low quantity at a very high price. Oh you wanna share a MAIN COURSE curry between 2-3 people? Don t even think about it with this place s quantity. Want butter on your NAAN? Nope, gotta raw dog it. No ghee, no butter, just plain burnt naan. Would not recommend to anyone, especially in my indian friend circle. Also, I can t forget to mention the 15-18% automatic tip, cause I guess they understood no one is gonna tip by the time they see the price and quantity. A truly TRULY terrible experience. (The ambiance is pretty good, so at least they got that going for em!)

Best place, this gives the real taste Of India with the scrumptious tandoori chicken, not to mention the soft Naan. Service is great with amazing hospitality. All the staff will treat u like a king.

Food and curries were good except the rotis which were non palatable and extremely dense. But the service overall was extremely poor and we were not informed of gratuity charges upfront for 4 people and ended up paying excessively for a sub par service

Absolutely the most authentic and delicious Indian cuisine we have enjoyed in a restaurant. The staff was friendly efficient and informative about every dish. Highly recommend it!!

Its our 2nd time ordering food from Bindia Indian Bistro. However, theres room for improvement in non-vegetarian food served in takeout specifically. Paneer Tikka Masala: 5/5 Butter Naan: 5/5 Buttermilk: 5/5 Chicken Biryani: 3/5 The pieces were literally burnt like coal and pretty hard to break. Their complimentary payasam kheer was excellent in taste 5/5

garlic Naan was mediocre at best. It was not cooked properly and was quite small. For $6, one would expect much better.

AVOID THIS PLACE - SMALL PORTIONS AND TERRIBLE SERVICE Service is terrible!!! I had to get up to ask for glasses of water and had to repeatedly get up to refill our water because the staff wouldnt come by. We were not given water, napkins, or cutlery before/after the food was served, and I had to get up for those as well. When I mentioned the bitterness of a drink to the manager, she responded in a condescending tone, explaining that mango lassis are not supposed to be sweet, as if we hadnt tried them before. The restaurant is EXTREMELY understaffed. It was very busy for a Saturday night, and there were only two waitresses, one waiter/bartender, and one manager. After confronting the manager about the terrible service due to understaffing, she did not apologize or provide an explanation. Instead, she got defensive, claiming each person can handle 5-6 tables, which clearly wasnt the case, as no one came to give us water, refill it, provide cutlery, or check in on us.

I went to Bindia today for lunch and the food and service were terrible. I ordered eggplant Bharta which tasted more like pumpkin than Bharta - no tomatoes - didn t taste smoky. Both my dishes didn t taste fresh. The Asian waitress was a bit rude, didn t address my concern but kept repeating its roasted eggplant - so tough luck!! I am Punjabi East Indian and know what Bharta tastes like! Very disappointed and will not be coming back!!! Vegetarian options: Not good!

I ordered for a in-office team lunch and everything was fantastic. I really appreciated Jyoti s help with my order (was just the right amount) and organizing delivery. Everyone absolutely raved about the food. We will definitely get a team lunch from Bindia again!

Indian place with some improvement! FOOD: We came here for lunch with a friend and ordered a variety of food. I got myself some rice with veggies and some chicken with mint. Though the flavours were there, they were not pronounced enough. In fact, the rice was under salted and the chicken was a bit bland. SERVICE: The service was friendly, but a bit slow for my liking. I had to walk to the bar to ask for the bill. ATMO: This place felt a bit disjointed: higher end or a diner?

Went here on a visit to Toronto, two of us shared the tikka platter, a butter chicken, a tandoori roti and a butter naan. It was easily enough for two to share. All of the food was excellent, in particular the tikka platter had some unusual tikka flavours (like mint tikka) which we dont normally get in the UK. The butter chicken was again comparable with some of the better butter chickens I have had. Unusually the butter chicken was offered as mild, medium or hot, we had medium which added a bit (but not too much) heat over a UK version. Service was also good. Overall I would definitely recommend!

Really good food, great service, and beautiful restaurant- but it was pretty expensive for what it is Probably not the place if you are just craving chicken biryani, but definitely a great place if you are craving chicken biryani + want a nice dinning experience! My friend ordered the butter chicken and she also really enjoyed her meal but did agree it was pricer than what we are usually used to paying for these dishes elsewhere. Their mango lassi was also delicious!

The food here is authentic, taste so good, tongue of the flavor . Yummy! I ordered the butter chicken, lamb curry , and the garlic naan , everything thing on point .

Delicious Indian food! The medium hot is medium hot. We ordered butter chicken, chicken korma and tandoori chicken, and the calamari. All dishes were delicious, warm and so tasty and full of flavor. I would say it was one of the best Indian foods I ever ate. Cons - the dishes dont come with a side, I got the butter chicken and it doesnt come with rice. It is a bit pricey but the flavor and customer service compensated! Pros - customer service, ambient, amazing delicious tasty food!!! So rich and flavorful! I will definitely come back many times!!!!! Oh their naan is so light and tasty, one of the best naans I ate!

Enjoyed a delicious supper as a family of four. We started with samosas and aloo tikki. Between us, we enjoyed chicken curry (made hot), Chana masala, butter chicken and Laal Maas (lamb) with a side of garlic naan and raita. Everything was delicious! Our only complaint was the lack of lamb pieces (only 5) in the Laal Maas.

I don t typically write reviews or confront eateries about their service, but my recent experience compels me to share my thoughts. I ordered Gajrela (carrot pudding) for $10, expecting a decent serving. To my dismay, the portion was minuscule, barely two spoonfuls, and the quality was extremely disappointing. Even the container was less than half-filled. When I called the restaurant to express my concerns, the response was discourteous and dismissive, as if I should be grateful for the meager serving. This experience was frustrating and fell far below my expectations. I hope this restaurant never succeeds unless they change their portion size. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Wonder why this place has so many reviews? Ton of paid reviews! BEWARE!!!! The owner bought online reviews! I could detect using an online tool. The food is sub par and expensive for the quantity. Whats worst was that THE STAFF ROBS THE TIP! READ OTHER REVIEWS TO CONFIRM! THE OWNER IS SHAMELESS, HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING AND STILL WONT STOP!

My spouse & I have been to Bindia many times & the food & staff are always fantastic. We went for a late dinner over the family day long weekend & it was busier than we are used to it being (I was hoping if we went late it would be quieter). This caused problems for me due to temporary medical issues. I realized soon after we ordered I wouldnt be able to stay so we requested our order to be take-out instead of dine-in. When we explained why I needed to leave the staff went absolutely above & beyond expectations to actually make it possible for me to stay & have a really lovely dinner. A HUGE THANK YOU!! To the staff for being so understanding.

I ordered online and for delivery. The food was authentic and delicious. The service was outstanding.

We arrived on a Monday evening at 8:45 a.m. and although the kitchen closed at 9 a.m. and there was no one there, we were made very welcome. The young woman serving was smiling and so kind! She took the time to give us advice on dishes and to chat with us... Thank you! As for the dishes: A real delight!!!! Lentil soup: an explosion of flavors. Fish in sauce with rice: it feels like a trip to India. Fried squid: tender and tasty; Lamb: marinated and tender! The naans are fresh and still hot... I will never fail to return there every time I am in Toronto! ... I strongly recommend it to all fans of Indian cuisine and to all those who dont know it, its a great introduction!!!

Having been brought up in the UK and living and working in London for ten years means I ve had my fair share of very good (and very bad) curries and Indian food. This isn t my first time at Bindia but my first at this location. I have to say the staff were really lovely and welcoming. Quick and very professional. I had the Chana lunch special which was delicious, fresh and came with a delicious freshly made naan bread (I upgraded to garlic). Overall a lovely location with night lighting, great staff and an excellent chef and kitchen team. Thanks Bindia!

Got Harabara Kebab , Paneer Butter Masala , Mushroom Do Pyaza and Tandoori Roti . Everything tasted good but quantity was super small . $14 for 4 pcs of harabara kebab . Server was nice and location was good

We were a fairly large group, and the service was great as was the food I had. Its a bit pricey, but I would definitely come back. Its a nice spot in Old Toronto! Vegetarian options: We all ate a variety of vegetarian dishes from the menu and enjoyed everything we tried.

I came in at 11.42 am for a take out. I was standing at the front desk since 15 mins. No one came for the order or no one was there. I even called but it went straight to the voicemail. No concept of customer service

This place was sooo amazinggg. Just loved it with food was nicely plated and served well. Paneer was the highlight and Kebabs as well. Service was really good and fast! One of the worst experiences Ive ever had in Toronto. We complained about the tardiness of service and missing cutlery. The manager decided to pull up the camera footage from security cams to explain how they were doing what they were supposed to and that we were lying. All this without any provocation. The food was great and I would recommend it but the service or the lack of it plus the rude management left us with a bad aftertaste.

The young Indian waitress was very abrupt. Food was subpar. I m better off with the Gerard and Pape authentic restaurants! Too bad there is no option for negative zero stars!

Worst service. Me and my friend went there on Tuesday and felt like we were not welcomed. The server (on the bill his name was Akhil) served us as if it s his compulsion do it, He didn t seem to be interested in serving us at all. We asked him question about the naan and food and his response was absolutely cold, one word answer. Even the mcd people give better welcoming service than this guy. I seriously would have left if it wasn t for my friend, she said let it go we are already here Just because of his poor attitude we didn t order much, only ordered one dish and left. Thank you for indirectly telling us to never come again, message received we won t.

I have come to Bindiya many times but I just visited today and I ordered Chicken Biryani which is my go-to order. I asked the waitress to get the food as soon as and her name was Nav she got the food which was cold and when I asked her to replace it she refused me and started defending the kitchen that our chef has changed. She didn t give us any compensation or even said that she ll get the food again. Really disappointed and bad service. The waitress also showed really bad attitude.

We dine-in regularly and order take-out as well. Bindia never disappoints. It s consistent, nuanced flavours that are not rich and heavy, and the service is always pleasant and friendly. Love it!

Good ambience. Service hit or miss. Food was actually quite good. One star off for all desserts being off (ras malai and kulfi). The kulfi surely dint taste like anything close to a kulfi. Overall, not bad if you avoid the kulfi and can get a little better service (maybe the fact that large groups are auto charged 15% gratuity does not incentivize staff to offer quality service). Vegetarian options: Lot of vegetarian options.

The food is okay, but can be better. Its not anything memorable especially if you eat Indian food regularly and recognize the difference between mediocre, average and great. Id rate this average. Its a bit pricey as well given food/decor/service are all average, and nothing exemplary. 3.5, try it if youre there but dont go out of your way type of restaurant.

Great Indian restaurant with excellent service by Nicole & Akhil. Ambience & atmosphere are very good & inviting. The food was good but portions were smaller than other Indian restaurants we ve visited in the city & for the prices as well. Again, it was good & we were both pleased but it didn t have that WOW! Factor! The Garlic naan was excellent. I would rate Bindia 4.5/5 & would definitely be in my Top 10 Indian restaurants- but not TOP 3 though.

I hosted a party in their private room and everything was perfect. The owners were very accommodating leading up to and the day of. The space was modern, clean and very versatile. Everyone was talking about how delicious the food was and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend 100%.

The best restaurant experience I have had in the GTA , the food was amazing!!!!! Had the Lal Maas , Chicken tikka platter and the Garlic naan was scrumptious!!! The vibe the atmosphere and the LOCATION!!!! JUST awesome!!! Felt a little bad for the server as she was working alone in the dining area, I really hope that she is getting paid well. Kudos to all you guys and keep up the quality, will be back for more food .

We had dinner there today, we ordered paneer tikka masala, daal makhni and naan. Food was ok before, after leaving the restaurant we all felt like throwing up, our stomach started burning and literally four of us throwing up as soon as we got home . We are feeling terrible after eating that. Don t know what was added in the food. It was so bad, we all are sick after eating that food.

Its our favorite place, I always like their anchari paneer tikka. But dont know after Covid-19 I cant find there dont know why they discontinued. I request Please bring back anchari paneer tikka .

Reliable, tasty food and friendly service.

Food and service were both excellent! The service in particular was really attentive. We sat on the patio and it started to rain, the entire serving staff appeared immediately to bring us (and our food) inside so nothing got wet! It was quite impressive really. The patio itself is quite nice, there was live music playing at the market when we were there which was a lovely addition to our meal. This was our second visit and well definitely be back.

Everything was superb; I especially liked my biryani and the chutney that the samosas came out with. The various currys were good also although they could be spicier.

My favourite Indian restaurant, for both dine-in and takeout. The pakoras are a great appetizer, and the butter chicken curry is so flavourful. You can also choose the spice level of the curries when you order. The patio is nice when the weather is good, and the ambiance indoors is also nice for when the weather is bad.

Food was delicious. Had the tandoori lobster, butter chicken and rasmalai. All dishes were fresh, tasty and well seasoned. The only thing to improve on was the portion size, which could have been larger. Service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely return.

Service was friendly and the overall atmosphere is nice Unfortunately, there are some bigger cons to point out: 1. The portion size is very small. Think of 1 entree curry as one small sized bowl. 2. I think the prices are quite high, even for a restaurant in downtown, especially considering that all entrees come on their own and without the typical side of rice/Naan

Was incredible. Had the lamb vindalop and if youre looking for spicy you wont be disappointed, had a great kick. Found it a little expensive, $80 for dinner for one, that was with tip but definitely worth it! The garlic naan was to die for. Samosas were very tasty! Hoping to come back soon!

Very good Indian restaurant, perfect service from Akhil. Little crush on the lamb byriani.

Cute little place next to the market. Food was very good. A bit pricey and I felt the portions were a little small. Service was below par. We were seated and weren t served until about 20 minutes in. We also felt rushed towards the end. I would recommend this restaurant but management needs to improve service.

Food was flavorful, fresh and hot! Would have loved bigger portion sizes for the price but overall experience was great.

Good place , great location and little pricey. But the food tasted great esp. the Chaat. Also try the Punjabi Old Fashion which was really good with the Biryani.

Food was below average, and very much pricey considering the quantity of the food.

Cute but small spot. Staff are wonderful. Food was delicious, and they have a tandoor which they use for their naans and some other items which is harder to find in the city. They have private bathrooms instead of stalls which are always a plus.
