I came here to dine-in after trying their incredible chicken tandoori momo s during the taste of little Italy street festival and it certainly did not disappoint. My friend and I each got a speciality cocktail, which involved a whole show at our table. The servers brought the drink ingredients and assembled them in before our eyes making for a very interactive experience. The appetizer was the Raseele Pani-Puri Shots which were refreshing and absolutely delicious. We ordered the Truffle Mushroom Naan, the Degh Mutton Biriyani and the Dilliwala Butter Chicken. Every single thing we ate was incredibly flavourful, spiced to perfection and evidently cooked with good quality ingredients. I m absolutely coming back the next chance I get. The servers were so friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was cozy, romantic and inviting. These folks deserve all the success they get!

I went to this place on a friend s recommendation. My expectations were high but well. I ordered dal makhni, garlic nan and chilly nan. I dont know if the food had butter or the butter had food! Dal makhni was filled with cream and butter, the nan s were soaking wet in butter. The taste of indian cuisine is not better with more butter! I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. To top it all, When I was paying the bill, the server kept on peeping in the machine which made me uncomfortable. All in all not a good experience at all. I have gone to much better and much cheaper places here in Toronto for Indian cuisine. Wont recommend anyone. Do not have the pictures because me and my partner were starving when we came here and thus digged in. Moreover, after we got out, my stomach felt weird, more and so my partner s stomach felt weird too.

Went here with a quick Google search after the One of a Kind Show...it was honestly a beautiful atmosphere, and we got a wonderful service by Aashish and Didaar. Food came out on time and was absolutely delicious and made very mild upon request. Their menu items for appetizers, drinks, and desserts are unique. A must try if youre in the area and dont mind spending some extra - its worth it! And of course, it has lots of vegetarian options,I loved their sizzling soya platter. Will be returning again when I am in the area :)

I came here with my colleagues for dinner. The Atmosphere was really nice, gave an upscale vibe. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our party. The food was very tasty and were generous portions. We shared everything (family style) and had a lot leftover. Definitely will return and will recommend.

Honestly the food was above expectations, especially when you are sceptical about trying an Indian restaurant outside India. We thoroughly enjoyed the pani puri .. lamb ghee roast..and the paan kulfi was great Will surely come back soon !

My friend and I had an amazing time dining at By Aanch last night. Each dish was beautifully and thoughtfully presented, their flavours just right! We loved the heart and detail the owners put into the restaurant, whether it be the customized welcome note for our reservation, or the restaurants beautiful ambiance. The staff was tremendous, taking time to answer our questions, checking in and refilling our water, and ensuring our meals were allergy friendly. Wonderful experience at the restaurant, we hope to come back!

Over priced for bad quality food

I recently went to By Aanch with friends to celebrate a birthday, but sadly, the experience was disappointing, especially because of the poor service. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the staff wasn t attentive at all. We had to wait a long time for anyone to take our orders, and even after that, it took too long for our food to come out. Throughout the meal, it was hard to get the staff s attention for simple things like dish recommendations or additional items. It felt like they weren t interested in making our experience enjoyable, which made the whole evening feel frustrating and unwelcoming. The food was average at best, and certainly not enough to make up for the poor service. While the ambiance was nice, the staff s lack of attention and care made the night disappointing. By Aanch could be a better spot for celebrations if they seriously improve their customer service.

Visited on Diwali with my girlfriend, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. First off, be careful when opening the door, it swings right into a board, which could easily hurt someone. Additionally, the setup isn t accessible for individuals with physical disabilities, as the washrooms are located downstairs. The servers didn t seem welcoming; they looked stressed, possibly due to rush hour. A single server should ideally handle one table to maintain consistency, but here they were switching between tables. The restaurant itself is small and dark, with tables so compact that we had to consider table space before ordering. No recommendations were offered by the staff, which would have been helpful. We experienced long wait times, with almost half an hour just for drinks, by which time we d already finished our appetizers. For the main course, we waited an additional 45 minutes. The food is a bit overpriced, though the portion sizes were fair compared to other places. However, the food was excessively oily. We actually had to separate the oil ourselves, but there was still a lot left, making it quite unhealthy. Overall, I felt that the experience and the evening were ruined. Improving this place would require addressing the understaffing issues and hiring more welcoming staff. Coordination between the kitchen and servers is essential; I ve been to busier restaurants with similar staffing levels, but the service was far more efficient. It would have been nice if someone had checked in on us about the food rather than pushing for reviews. Instead of asking for reviews, consider focusing on the overall quality of service and training the staff to handle different roles if necessary. If these issues aren t resolved, it might be best to reconsider operating in the hospitality industry.

When the dishes finally arrived, they were nothing short of stunning. Each plate was a work of art meticulously arranged, with colors and textures that invited the senses to indulge. The aromas were equally enticing, elevating anticipation for what was to come. Portion sizes were generous, and the overall dining experience seemed well worth the price. However, the experience was tarnished by an unfortunate aftermath. Both my dining companion and I experienced stomach discomfort the following day. It s a regrettable footnote to an otherwise promising meal, and one that inevitably affects the overall impression. While the restaurant excelled in ambiance, service, and culinary presentation, the consequences we faced the next day leave room for concern.

We never got to try the food because the service is absolute garbage here. We had a reservation for 7:30 and they were surprised when we walked in. They sat us down and we waited over 30 minutes at the table without anyone ever coming over to take an order. We walked out.

We dined here this evening for my husbands birthday. We ordered a biryani, butter chicken and rogan josh + a few breads. There were four of us dining and we went home with leftovers! The portion size is perfect and the food was delicious. Ashish was pleasant and was so kind to bring out a complimentary desert for my husbands birthday. Would highly recommend this place. We will certainly come back again!

We come to this restaurant for the yummiest naan in Toronto. There naans are always light and paper thin and never chewy and they are very consistent with their style of cooking naan. And everytime we have dined in the service was amazing as well. We were recently served by Didaar and he gave us an exceptional service. Highly recommend this restaurant

Amazing Indian food with a very nice atmosphere inside

Our first time at this restaurant. Started out shaky as they said they did not have our reservation, said OpenTable wasnt working, but accommodated us. Things got better as the night progressed, cocktails were quite good, and the food was excellent. Some of the best quality Indian food Ive eaten. Service was very pleasant and attentive. Im not sure why the place was only half full on a Saturday night. You should really try it out if you havent been there. Will definitely be back.

The entire vibe of this place is so lovely! Thankfully we got in when it was a little quieter (Thursday, right after work) and so we really got to experience the great food and great service. The boys working here are so lovely and we felt very attended to! The food here was also fantastic! We ordered the Aanch Signature Daal Makhani and Butter Chicken platters - comes with curry, rice, naan, and some salad. A perfect platter for each of us! When me and my 2 friends went there and placed order for kadai paneer, tandoori roti and some other stuff. It was late and restaurant was about to close so we agreed on take-out. But when we went home and started eating Kadai paneer it felt weird and it was shredding so we were suspicious and checked it with friend who eats non-veg food and he confirmed that it was CHICKEN . I was really really angry that me and my friends are (Hindu) and pure vegetarian and I am really disappointed with the chef and the staff. I would never go back to that restaurant again as they have violated my dietary restrictions and a very basic requirement of giving me food I want. Dietary restrictions: Even though me and my friends are pure vegetarian and we ordered vegetarian food, we got CHICKEN

Went there for a birthday dinner. Their service stands out - they are active listeners and served up some excellent dishes. Highly recommend the tikka trio and chocolate kulfi bomb. The Devdas cocktail was interesting - not everyone s cup of tea though.

I recently dined at by aanch and had a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, showcasing creative Indian cuisine that was both flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary ice cream. When the staff learned it was my friends birthday, they made the celebration even more special by providing an extra dessert. If youre looking for delicious Indian dishes and great service, this is the perfect spot!

Chef Sudhanshu is such a genuine and nice human! He took care of us and explained all the dishes to us and the flavors. The service here is impeccable! There was a street event happening and the staff was totally doing their best managing inside and outside patrons. The food is FLAVORFUL!!! Do not miss the pani puri shots and the baadal jam bruschetta! These unique dishes are a great combination of flavors we all know and love as Indians but elevated! Def check out when in the Toronto area! I hope to come back to the area in the future and try his other restaurants.

Visited By Aanch last month during my birthday. Their food and service was amazing. The servers and owners frequently checking in on us and if everything was to our liking or not. We had the pain puri shots, chicken tikka trio, chicken tikka quiche, garlic naan and butter chicken. The dessert was complimentary for the special occasion. Hands down, one of the best fine dine restaurant I have been to.

We tried the butter chicken, vegetable biryani, masala chai martini, truffle garlic naan and aanch signature dal makhani platter. We had the chocolate filled samosas and a complimentary few pieces of mango ice cream and kheer for desert. The food is creatively plated and tasty. Ashish was an our server, very friendly and professional, he made sure we were well taken care of. It was a delight to meet the jovial chef Sudhanshu who wanted to ensure that the food was to our liking and that we enjoyed our time there. We felt they wanted to make us happy and given the food was delicious we will definitely return!

The best Indian food I ve ever had, mostly because the flavours were excellent but the ingredients and presentation were playful and modern - almost every dish was a beautiful little surprise. Had the Padi shots, tikka trio, mushroom truffle naan, goat curry and a lovely mango kulfi dessert. We like to keep trying new restaurants but will definitely be back, and will bring lots of friends.

Things Ordered: - Mango & Salty Lassi - Lahsuni Calamari - Aanch Signature Dal Makhani & Chur Chur Naan - Murgh Korma & Malabari Parantha - Peshawari Naan Money Spent: $130+ Lassis, Calamari & Dal Makhani were really good. Murgh Korma was quite average. Breads were the biggest disappointment as it was burnt and overly crispy. Is it worth the price they charge, I would say probably NOT.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Toronto! The food was simply delicious and so beautifully presented. I don t think I ve eaten such amazing food even in India, London, Paris or anywhere in the world and I travel a lot!! Kudos to the chef and the choice of dishes on the menu. We were there for lunch at 1 pm and even though the restaurant had opened at 12 and we d made a reservation, the menus were not brought to us, no water, no napkins and we had to call the waiter Ashish several times for everything. Also, just a suggestion to give wet wipes/towels instead of having to go down the stairs to wash one s hands. Vegetarian options: The options were fantastic and the starters like rasam shots with curd rice arancini, Badal Jaam aubergine bruschetta, sabudana tikki chaat, bedmi kachori with aloo and Peshawari naan, each one vied with each other for taste and presentation. We visited today for my sister s birthday and we re so glad we tried Aanch! Everything from the food to especially Kapil s service, was great! He was very welcoming and ensured our group was well taken care of. Big time recommended!

It was an amazing experience. Ordered Chicken tikka quiche and basil paneer tikka both the starters where tie breaking had amazing flavors. Degh Chicken biryani had good subtle flavors. Kadhai chicken was again very well cooked and paired with garlic naan & lachha parantha just completed the whole meal. The drinks were to next level, must try Masala chai martini and Paanlicious they were the perfect bust of flavors. Kapil was above and beyond in his service and had a good knowledge of the menu and gave good recommendations. Ended the meal with complimentary mango kulfi dessert which was just wow. Over all it was a great fine dine experience.

Paras who served us was excellent! We arrived a bit late for lunch. He described every dish accurately, and made the best choice. Ambience and taste and price and Cleanliness all superlative negatives point is a bit hard to find maybe the neon and glass electric art piece next to our table bit out of sync. Was distraction to the eye from the soft ambience.

Honestly great food and ambiance. The people who work there are so nice! We even met the chef and he was very friendly and even gave us a good suggestion for starter. It ended up being amazing. I recommend this place. They even gave a birthday dessert plate for my boyfriend at the end and he loved it :)

I had ordered mutton karari roti, kathal tacos, butter chicken, baingan bharta and paan kulfi. Firstly, the appetisers were good but then came the main course which was very average and same like any indian restaurant in Toronto, nothing special for the price, lastly came the dessert; Paan kulfi which killed my whole experience as it tasted only like cardamom and the kulfi was so frozen that it couldn t be broken with a spoon so could only taste ice and nothing else. Disappointed

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting By Aanch last night for our 11th wedding anniversary and we had a lovely experience. I m trying to comprehend all of those one star reviews as we found the food to be phenomenal. Every bite was so full of flavour it was a truly wonderful experience. The pastry on the Samosas was so tender and flaky it melted in your mouth. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the restaurant had a very lovely atmosphere. If you are looking for something other than pasta and pizza in little Italy I highly recommend checking By Aanch out.

Highly recommend partaking in a culinary experience here. We sat on the patio and got to explore a specialised menu. A few of us shared multiple dishes and every single one was amazing. It was so exciting to see what visually stunning and delicious dish was going to come out next. We got a visit from the friendly chef and the service from all staff was lovely. We will be returning for sure!

We had a good experience at this Indian restaurant. After a long wait, food was really worth it. We were served by Kapil who seemed to be a kind person holding a nice smile.

The food and the presentation was exceptional. The cocktails were really good. Never in my life have I had mango kulfi in my life, Ashish brought us the kulfi and it has to have become one of my favorites now.

Went on a whim. Staff were very nice and attentive, and the food was excellent. One of the best Naan breads Ive had and a nice variety of flavours. Will definitely come back to try the street food patio menu.

I had been there yesterday with Family. I was really impressed with the service of Ashish and Kapil. They explained dishes, their ingredients etc. very well and suggested some dishes and I must say their Jackfruit tacos were awesome. Overall food was tasty, atmosphere is good for partying with family and friends. Last we ordered a dessert which was okeish but the way they presented it, was fantastic.

We had ordered chicken tikka trio , chicken tikka quiche , signature Malabar paratha and chicken and mutton biryani! Also in deserts had chocolate samosa! Each and every dish was mouth watering and delicious and amazing creativity and finishing! Also the service was superb! Wish we could try more dishes! I had the best samosa of my life, from this restaurant during the Taste Of Little Italy Festival. My boyfriend and I stopped by primarily at their stall for the $5 beers and the staff were so friendly and happy !! We had to try the Samosas, and they were the best Ive ever had. So much flavor, AND PERFECT crunch. We will be back to have a whole meal here!!

Had a lovely dinner here last night, we all thought the food was spectacular. Started with the truffle mushroom naan (so good, in photo). The sizzling soya was also very good, loved the flavours, and felt the portions were fairly large.. I assume everything on the menu is unique and delicious and can t wait to try more. Our server was lovely and made the meal even better. We will be back! Vegetarian options: Sizzling soya was different and delicious!

Went for dinner on Thursday evening. Was greeted by Ashish who was very welcoming and hospitable. He was patient with our questions and took time to provide detailed answers which helped us choose from the great selection of offerings. Food was delicious we had the pani puri, dal Makhni platter and kathal curry. Fresh, tasty and just the right portions. Great atmosphere, good for date night and small celebrations.

I dont have enough words for this place. Everything was 11/10. The food was exceptional and so was the service by both the manager Ashish, as well as our server Deedar. Weve gone here just two times, both to celebrate special occasions, though even if you go without an occasion in mind, you will still be treated as if its the day to celebrate. The drinks, appetizers, mains, and desserts were to die for. Will definitely go back!

Me and my wife were thinking to go for a nice Indian restaurant in Toronto. Finally one of my friends suggested visiting there and it was an amazing lovely atmosphere, great service, and excellent food. we were taken care of by Kapil and Deedar (server) both of them were polite and attentive to detail and made our evening special and once again immaculate service.
