Chowpatty Culture is a fast-casual Indian restaurant with a modern commitment to provide mindblasting Indian food. Traditional Indian recipes, tandoor cooking, and street food flavors of across Indian sub-continent.
This was my first time ordering today and I’m already in love. What you pay for you get that. I was craving chole bhature anx chicken tikka roll hence ordered from this place. Both were amazing. It’s not ur typical Delhi chole bhature but it different and good. I wanna go and try directly from the restaurant next time in woodbine beach. Thank you for sending delicious food
Wow! Just visiting the Beach as it's my old stomping grounds, was a local dentist for 35 yrs. Stopped in as a lark, I love Indian food and always wanting to try something new. The food was fantastic! Tasty, incredibly fresh, flavourful with just the right amount of requested spiciness. A huge portion so a great value. Loved the owner and his cook, really nice guys!! It's now my 'go to' place to eat in the Beach, can't wait for my next visit!
I had never explored the Beaches neighborhood before, but on a spontaneous walk with a friend from downtown, I ended up here—and I’m so glad I did! This area is filled with incredible restaurants, but Chowpatty Culture truly stands out. I first tried their mango lassi, and without a doubt, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. You can taste the complexity of the spices, which sets it apart from the usual fare. It’s a level of flavor that most places seem to miss. Today, I finally had the chance to try their paneer Kathi roll, and it was just as impressive. The depth of flavor in the dish speaks for itself—you can tell it’s made with fresh ingredients and no shortcuts. Plus, the owner was incredibly welcoming, which made the experience even better.
Beach vibes comes home! Great tasting food , and outstanding service. Sunita was our server and she deserve a reward for outstanding service.
Chowpatty Culture has an amazing vibe! The food is absolutely delicious. I tried the Vada Pav and Paneer Kathi Roll, and both were fantastic. The flavors were authentic and the portions were generous. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto. Great location, great food and great service. Must try the Amritsari Kulcha Plate and chai. Their new breakfast menu is amazing! For those who grew up in India, you'll get gharwala taste. For the rest, this is what real Indian food tastes like.
One of the cutest restaurant near woodbine beach. The food is absolutely amazing and so is the service. Everything came out so quickly and tasted so well. The best part is that they use high quality- non artificial ingredients. We tried thei tandoori chicken bowl which was so hearty and their chai samosa combo. Their Amritsar kulcha plate was very nice aswell. The patio is a great addition to enjoy the summers. We will definitely be visiting again.
It’s “Mindblasting” alright!! Just moved into the neighborhood and thought we would stop in and try some Indian food. We love Indian food and have eaten it all over the world on average 1 time a week. We ordered the Butter Chicken and Rice dinner to take home. I also ordered and paid for an additional order of white rice and chicken Samoas. Was extremely surprised when we got home and opened the bag and the white rice I ordered was not there. The rice and salad on the menu that comes with the Butter Chicken and Rice meal that we paid $15.99 for was also not in the bag. Checked my bill, we paid $35 for a single order of Butter Chicken, garlic naan and three samosas. The portions were very small and below average compared to what I’m used to. No cutlery in the bag. I can confidently say we will not be going back there especially after reading some of the additional 1 star reviews associated with Chowpatty. I’m notorious for giving five star reviews so it’s disappointing to me when you spend good money and don’t get what you’re expecting and it appeared to be 100% intentional as we were the only order in the restaurant at that time. There are way to many other good restaurants on Queen street to chose from. I look forward to finding a great Indian restaurant in the area to spend my money at.
Chai made to order, v tasty.
Aloo Tikki Chaat and Karak Chai are a Must Try. Loved the food and service. Will be going there again to try more.
Friendly staff and tasty food.
Great food. Friendly staff. Great portion sizes. Well worth the visit. The Masala Chai, is amazing!! Vegetarian options: Very tasty vegetarian good.
We love your place. Was there yesterday too for the 3rd time in a month!! Had chole bhatura, vada pav, dahi puri and so much more. Thanks for serving authentic flavours from India . Really enjoyed the food as well as the service. Your staff is really nice and friendly.
I ve had kathi rolls in NYC and it s not even close to how good Chowpatty Culture ones are. HUGE FAN! So happy to find this gem of a restaurant. Run don t walk to get their delicious food!
Their Kathi rolls are amazing! I had the chicken tikka Kathi roll, excellent flavour and texture throughout. Unfortunately, they did not have mango lassi when I was there. The employee was very apologetic and she even offered me a small sample of pani puri water to try. The gulab jamun was slightly disappointing as it seemed to be missing the rose water and cardamom flavour.
The best Amritsari kulcha ive ever had in Toronto!!!!! Nice vibe and atmosphere. Owner had a positive attitude towards us and greeted us with a big smile!
Believe me you wont find this authenticity in anywhere in canada... Spices were as balanced as it could.. Masala Tea is faboulous... the front guy helped us ordering according to our preferences , Overall a pleasant experience thank you.
They have probably the best kadak masala chai I have had, the general problem with chais are it s either overcooked or the masala over powers the taste - theirs is very balanced. I saw they had some other very interesting chai options that I d wanna try next time. We also got bun lamb qeema and mango lassi. I have never had ground lamb and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn t have the gamey after taste that can be present in some lamb dishes if it s not cooked right, the lassi is also in my top 3 list. Would definitely return to try more of their items.
Absolutely sublime food experience! Vada pav, Amritsari kulcha and freshly made chai with authentic spices made our day! Kulcha is so crispy and has authentic flavours. Must try restaurant! Excellent customer service by the owner and the staff!! Highly recommended!!! Dietary restrictions: Oat masala chai is awesome vegan choice!
Mumbai Style Juhu Beach Street Food in Toronto: A Taste of Chowpatty street food Near Woodbine Beach in Canada Dont forget to have kullad wali chai
Tea is magic here. Loved the food and hospitality.
The best Indian food ever!!! Everything is delicious and natural made!!!
I met Ripu, he was amazing and charming, the food was freshly made and very tasty insearch a way that my son asked for more but unfortunately we finished. They have halal option.
The service and food was exceptional, I would like to give a shout out to Sunitha, who served us really well and the chef. I would recommend coming here for Amritsari Kulcha.
I love the food Vegetarian options: You should get Vegetarian Hawwka noodles They are 10/10 It is very tasty and yummy Food : 5/5 | Service
Chowpatty culture is one of the best restaurant near Woodbine beach ! All the items we tasted were delicious,, highly recommended!!
It s a perfect spot for street food lovers and that too near woodbine beach. Perfect location with delicious food!
Loved the vibe vada pav and kathi roll were ammmazingg
Love the vibe. Right in the heart of the beaches. Love the food. Will be back! Vegetarian options: Lots Dietary restrictions: Keto and gluten free and dairy free options
Looking for amazing vada Pao and dahi puri in Toronto ! This place next to woodbine beach is your spot! Must try them for their vegan masala chai and also healthy smoothies.
I found this place walking around the beaches and the price drew me in and I had been having an amazing time visiting that I visited at least 4 more times within the same week. The food The food is exceptional, so many different varieties and even with the 4 times i had visited, I still have not tried everything in the menu. The food is exceptional for the price. I am a vegetarian and the chana masala has been the best chana masala i have ever had. The fries- wohoo that seasoning, it is one of the best i have ever tasted. They really put a lot of thought into the recipe which made the experience so wonderfully unique. The Service Management and staff had been amazing, I would sit there and feel like I am being served at a restaurant that would typically be serving an average plate price of $25-$40 per plate. Masala Chai I have replaced coffee with their Masala Chai. I am waiting to see if he can sell them by the bags because this Chai is a good replacement of coffee. Overall, I give this place full 5 stars. I look forward to going back again soon.
Tried the new breakfast menu. The Aloo Gobi Paratha and Halwapuri were great .
The best Indian.
Echoing the chorus of people who had items missing in their orders. Did get a refund and was contacted by Rupi who also offered me an additional naan. The food itself (Chana Masala) is lacking in flavour, but the portion size is large.
I found this cozy restaurant after a walk from the beach, and it was a wonderful experience! The lady s service was hospitable; she was kind and really made me feel at home. I tried the kathi rolls, dahi puri, and samosa chaat, and they were all bursting with flavor. The service was quick, and I can t wait to come back for more!
First time here and had vada pay that instantly took me back home to Mumbai !! Vadas were perfectly crisp not at all oily and seasoned to perfection with fried green chilies and the pav fresh and soft as a cloud. Definable a must try if you r craving Indian street food !
Excellent and authentic chaat. I had the aloo tikki chaat and my friend had the samosa chaat. It took us back to the street food that you find in India. I also tried their pani puri water and if you like a spicy, tangy refreshing drink it s delicious! Had a wonderful chat with the host and Im definitely coming back again.
Went here a few days ago while in Toronto and it was soooo good I got the karma bowl and it was delicious the man working there was so very kind and helpful and sweet it made me and my boyfriends day! Would definitely reccomend
Amazing food and amazing service. The lady who hosted us today was very polite and hospitable.
My husband and I are food-snobs and not easy to impress. This place said it was mind blasting we chuckled and said let s try it and Oohh boy was it ever good! We had split a couple things to try the place. Along with iced chai. You can say we had our minds blasted. Thank you for that. We will drive all the way here for this food, that s for sure!
Had the Paneer Tikka Kathi Roll which came with delicious masala fries. The roti was freshly made for us and stuffed with the most delicious paneer tikka paired with onions and peppers. It was taste sensation! Highly recommend and will most definitely be coming back soon as the whole menu looked interesting! Ate outside on patio. Perfect after a day at the beach. The staff were super friendly and helpful as well.
Food is lovely, service is horrible. Ordered the tikka Kathi roll. Went to sit outside and wait. 20 minutes later I walked back in to see what was taking so long and found the server sitting with some guy at a table. She got up, walked around the counter, packed up the food that was just sitting there and handed it to me. I won t mention the size of the roll.
We ordered: hakka noodles, butter chicken, chicken tikka, naan and the ghost pepper naan. Staff was really nice and very proud of their culture and food. The ghost pepper naan was very intense in terms of spice. Portions were rather decent size although served in take out containers while dining in.
Recently tried Chowpatty culture for the first time as we were visiting the woodbine beach. Its a cozy cafe with great ambience and service. We tried their Kathi rolls and must they were amazing. We also tried their masala chai- hot and cold and it was so refreshing! Will definitely be visiting again.
wow mindblowing just started my day with the halwapuri breakfast with the khulad chai in the beaches slightly impressive and the menu for breakfast is awesome and the food was super fresh and delicious . Try some breakfast in chowpatty culture wont regret it....
Excellent Indian food near woodbine beach . Must try Vada Pav
The food was delicious. Authentic Indian taste! The owner took special care for each and every dish that went out of the kitchen. He is extremely passionate about his work and treats everyone warmly. This place is a must visit!! I highly recommend the Chole Bhature and Chai. Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options
The vada pav was one of the best Ive had! Tastes very authentic and you can adjust the level of spice. The Karak chai was not as strong as I wouldve liked and I wish there was an option to add my own sugar, but that could be personal preference. The service was really good, the owner is really nice and gave great recommendations based on taste . Highly recommended
I have tried masala chai here. I was not impressed by the quality of cups as it was not able to handle chai properly. I almost got burnt by spill and the sleeve was also not fitting properly. The cap of cup was also not proper. However, chai was good. I will visit again to see them improve the packaging. I also felt they should mention in the menu, how much ml/quantity of chai will be there. Also, it was Mumbai s chowpatty restaurant but the music played was Punjabi. I was expecting some nice bollywood music. May be, I am expecting too much I don t know! Anyway, I will visit again hope things change! Edit in 2024: I visited again and the tea cup are upgraded! loved it. Good customer service! This time I tried Tandoori Kulcha and they were spot on.
Delicious food and nice staf. Highly recommend.
It was great dining experience. Ripu helped us a lot while ordering and also checked on us regarding food. All the items we ordered were great. It took us back to Mumbai. Thank you.
Satisfying Juhu Beach Cravings in Toronto! If youre looking to relive the iconic Mumbai street food experience, Chowpatty Culture is the place to be! Just 2 minutes from Woodbine Beach, this spot perfectly captures the flavors of Juhu Beach right here in Toronto. We tried a range of dishes that transported us straight to Mumbai: - **Bhelpuri:** Bursting with sweet-sour chutneys, just like youd find on Juhu Beach. - **Dahipuri:** Perfectly balanced with creamy yogurt and tangy chutneys. - **Kanda Bhaji:** Crispy onion fritters served with fried green chillies a true street food delight. - **Vada Pav:** The ultimate Mumbai burger, authentic and satisfying. - **Butter Chicken Puffs:** A unique twist on Delhi s classic, blending the best of poutine and butter chicken. - **Tandoori Chicken Noodles:** Hakka-style noodles with a deliciously spicy twist. The Mumbai-themed ambiance, complete with local trains and dabbawalas, really brought back nostalgic memories. It felt like being back at Juhu Chowpatty, but in the heart of Toronto! Don t miss their **Unlimited Samosas & Chai Deal** just $11 for all you can eat samosas and chai, available daily from 2pm to 5pm. This is a deal you don t want to pass up! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Mumbai flavors with a Canadian twist. #WoodbineBeach #MumbaiVibes #TorontoEats #ChowpattyCulture
I live in Houston and never have I taste Indian food, I took a vacation up north and happens to meet the owner of this great location that I was staying at. Our conversation was about a different subjects and the wonderful city of Toronto and stuff As we come to our social conversation the food subject came up and I get to hear about this location. Keep in mind I have never eating Indian food before! I decided to try it . And oh boy ! Was I happy to do so, the ambience is very relax, the owner was the most kind and gracious person! And the food boy the food ! Don t take it from me . Just pass by, you will taste what I am taking about ! You will not be disappointed! As soon as I make it back . That s where I will be !
Owner has done a great job to create a modern, welcoming space. Fantastic food and chai!!
Tried the Aloo Tikki Chat - food and service was so good! but small portions when considering price paid.
Bland noodles even after calling them to make it spicy but the girl on call was like we are very busy at this moment if you added a note then its ok. No taste at all not even salt forget about any spice
This is a beautiful small place, where you get authentic Indian food (not too spicy, and very flavourful). The restaurant owner is so kind and I believe that s the key to his good food. My favourite is Amritsari Kulcha which is very flavourful when eaten with pickle and the chickpea masala. He had other good stuff too. I tried butter chicken with naan and dahi puri, and they all were really good. I highly recommend this restaurant. Sometimes we eat dinner and go for a beach walk. It s a perfect evening place if you want to enjoy Indian food :)
I really loved the ambience. And the food was really great. Felt like i m eating in mumbai. Great experience. Worth it
I tried Vada pav and Hakka noodles and it was awesome. Very nice ambience and very lively. Must try!
We had Pani Puri, Palak Paneer and garlic naan and all of them were super good! It s also very vegetarian/vegan friendly :)
Wonderful food and great service. Mango lassis are excellent.
Great food and the place seemed really clean
Amazing food! Authentic flavors and we could tell the masalas were freshly made and not outsourced which was great! The amritsari kulcha and bhel puri were our favourites. Loved the dal makhani, tandoori bowl and chowmein too. Can t wait to visit again and try other items on the menu.
Wonderful service and the food was delicious! I ordered the Butter Chicken poutine, which was absolutely heavenly. The Aloo Tikki Chat was incredibly tasty, and the Masala Chai was a delightful addition. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Good food and cute little ambience. In summer time, they offer patios which gave us indian street food vibes. We had dahi bhalla and masala fries. Both were yummy. Masala fries were crispy and delicious. Reasonably priced Indian cuisine food. Must visit place.
Got the Papdi. My go to. Hits the spot when you want flavour but on a hot day. Refreshing.
Good food, good service, accommodating for slight food preferences. I recommend highly :)
Use to be 5 stars because the use to have one of the best Pav Bhaji V in the city but last time I tried to order they said they discontinued it.
delicious food, great service, will come back again
I came here twice during my short stay in the beaches & will definitely visit again. High quality food (paneer tikka roll & I had a sample of the organic lemonade) & very friendly service!
Every time I miss India, my friends and delicious masala Chay.. I go to this small cozy cafe, where beautiful Indian music always sounds, to which the characters of the paintings on the walls come to life.. very bright and colorful.. you are always welcome here , time flies by in pleasant communication... the most delicious masala, samosa... come and enjoy Indian hospitality and the tastes of a distant country with your own eyes.
Went for lunch today with my mom, second time at this restaurant. The food has so much flavour and it is very authentic. The masala chai is also phenomenal, probably best in the city!!! Will definitely return again to try more menu items.
A place to enjoy a real authentic street food of India infused with friendly and positive energy from the owner. Love and gratitude!
Wow great experience best and delicious indian meal great love it The boy Saurav was legit and charming great love thank u Food
Every thing was perfect! Fresh food, Good service, Good & quick service!! I recommend everyone to do visit here and try some delicious Indian cuisine!! Food
The food is great, as is the service. We have been to the location multiple times and each time the food is consistently good. Their Kathi rolls are great.
Great food, amazing atmosphere
One of the worst and terrible restaurant i have ever been to. It s unmanaged and the front desk girl is confused about everything and 0 customer handling skills. We ordered our food after waiting for 8 minutes and they said our food will be ready within 15 mins. But we waited for like 1 hour and when we asked them they said nothing is prepared. We ordered naan, chana masala and samosa. When i went to ask at the front, the girl said one minute every time. Had to refund the money because they told we haven t start to make anything . One of the customers also refunded before us. It was really frustrating.
Fantastic food and service! Some of the best chaat in Toronto and the veg choices are amazing. The service is warm, welcoming and makes you feel like family.
Walking into Chowpatty Culture felt like a delightful escape into the bustling streets of Mumbai. The staff doesn t just serve food; they serve warmth. Their attentive service and genuine care elevate the dining experience. Pair that with their Chicken tikka katthi roll, and you ve got a winning combination. Kudos to the team!
This is the Bowl Of Karma location Vegetarian options: non meat and fish choices Food : 5/5 |
I tried Vadapav and it is authentic Mumbai style! Fantastic. Masala chai is a must try!
Great vada pav and karak chai. super authentic
We wanted to try some indian street food and Chowpatty Culture showed up on top of the list nearby to woodbine beach. We tried Dahi Puri, Chicken Tikka Roll and Veg Hakka Noodles. Without any doubt, the food was great in taste, however the plate portion was very small which was not sufficient for a single person. 4 stars for the quality of the food.
Amazing dining experience, very friendly and kind server, very attentive and delicious food!
Clean and delicious
excellent food ! enjoyed Amritsari Kulcha with Chickpeas and Masala Chai, highly recommended , nice to find this Gem while visiting Toronto.
Great little spot for good and yummy Indian food. Service is amazing too! We love coming here when in the neighbourhood. I especially enjoy their masala tea!
Had a fantastic chai, flavourful butter chicken poutine. Food was amazing. Must try street food stop .
Wonderful service and the food was delicious! Ordered the Butter Chicken poutine (which oh my gosh I ll be dreaming about this!!) and the Aloo Tikki Chat (incredibly tasty!). We also ordered two Masala Chai which were delicious, as well as Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan to go for dinner. No pics because we ate the food up so fast! Highly recommend checking this place out!
What a gem!
Best butter chicken poutine! A must Great service also and amazing menu!
THE BEST AMRITSARI KULCHA WITH DESI VIBE CHAI THE RIPU IS AN AMAZING GUY THE WAY HE SURVE WITH RESPECT CHECK IT GUYS IF YOURE AROUND BEACHES
I tried almost everything and that was amazing , I will highly recommend choulle bhature . MUST TRY ..!!
Very authentic in Indian food
Great food. Must try amritsari also kulcha
Great food, if you are craving indian street food in Beaches do try Chowpatty.
The best experience I ever had of Indian food at Chowpatty culture. Very authentic Indian food. Vibes are upscale and relaxing. Salad bowl was mind-blowing and Puff patties, masala chai was REALLY good ..Excellent service and good taste and quality of food. Can t wait to visit again. Vegetarian options: Alot of vegetarian and vegan options. Dietary restrictions: All the curries are gluten free. No nuts.
Vegetarian options: Love amritisari kulcha and pavbhaji Food
Yesterday I visited chowpatty and I ordered allo tikki and pani puri , it Was so delicious the atmosphere and service was very good as well.
i was here for a veg puff patty it was really good and tasty it gave me a same taste like my hometown and i will like to have more next time
The lamb curry and rice was delicious. I got it spicy and it came spicy but not so spicy that the food wasn t tasty anymore. I really enjoyed it
Food is ok. Prices are high as compared to other indian fast food places.
Typical Bombay meri jaan food! Sweet Sunday brunch. Lovely hospitality by Noor!
$19 dollars and the Biryani that was recommended was not good at all. A shame because it would be nice to have good, reasonably priced Indian street food in the neighbourhood.
Love their Amritsari kulcha and Vada Pav. Would come back again
We went here a few days ago because we were looking for vada pao and our usual place was closed . The food wasn t bad I won t lie but we paid 12 bucks for 2 vada pao which I felt was a little over priced . The food was served in disposable plates which also I did not appreciate and the floor was fairly dirty compared to the restaurant that was absolutely empty . The kucha was nice but would I pay 16 or 17 bucks for disposable and 1 kulacha maybe not I guess . I know it s new new so I hope they do improve and we can give them another chance ! All the best !
Fresh food, I got the Dahi Puri. So tasty! great combination of flavour. Also the vegetable curry is good, love all vegetarian options.
I had an wonderful experience. Food was delicious specially Amritsari Kulcha & Channa and the staff were very courteous.
My take out wrap was pretty tasty, but I thought I ordered a bowl and naan but didn t realize the mistake until I got home. I never order any kind of wrap or sandwich. So overall it was disappointing, even if it was a communication issue. Make sure you check your order before you pay for it. Loved the mural.
I got invitation from my brother Naim . Its been a long time since I was craving authentic Indian food . I would say it is the best place in beach area. The food was super delicious. This food is the best gift in my entire vacation trip in this Christmas
The food was lovely. Met Gurnoor, such a fantastic host. Wil visit next time soon! Tried Amritsari Kulcha. It was love. Delhi ki yaad aagyi!!
Awesome Mumbai wali vibe, must visit and have some amazing authentic chaat and Desi food.
Awesome vibe, had Amritsari Kulcha it was awesome.
Food here was really good! We got the Aloo Kulcha and Tandoori Chicken Tikka that came with rice and veggies. Very Flavourful and Fresh ingredients! Highly recommend!
Today was my first visit to Chowpatty. I ordered the butter chicken. The food was great Generous portion for a reasonable price and the staff are hospitable. Definitely will come again
Hands down one of the best Indian Street food lve tried in a while now! Their chat papri is so incredible, the papri is fresh and made of suji - a rare thing to find in Toronto. The Amritsari kulcha was piping hot and delicious. Will certainly be going back as want to try everything on their menu. The service was super friendly as well.
Absolutely amazing experience, the service was quick and the food was incredible. I ordered the butterchicken poutine and chicken samosas, plus they brought us a snack before the main meal.
Best Hakka noodles that I have ever eaten in Canada. Tried Amritsari kulcha too and it was really great.
Would not recommend going there. We went there after seeing their ratings but they are not worth the hype. Food was not good with very less quantity. We ordered chowmein but the noodles were less and veggies more. They didn t even gave us cutlery. Not worth it.
We tried kale onion pakoda with chai and both the things tasted very fresh. It didnt taste like coming out from microwave oven. I havent tried anything else yet but soon will.try and share more. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.
None of the chaats were good at all and they all tasted the same. Low quality and they forgot an item.
Super tasty Indian food!
Went there to pick up 1 Naan. Upon being asked if I wanted any curry lamb as it was on the dialy specials outside on their sign I thought why not. To my disappointment the Naan was horrible and soggy. But worse was the lamb. I paid $4 for the Naan and then $20 (a total of over $27) for this bland lamb curry that had 4 pieces of lamb in it. I did a double take when I looked at the bill, when I got home Worse is that the main course meals are cheaper than what I paid for the lamb alone. Definitely seems like the cashier is trying to pocket money I dont recommend this place to anyone. They either scam you out of your money or disappoint you with the food. Stick to the bazaar on Gerrard street
Best food in queen street area ,highly recommend
I went to the place recently and I must say that they have great service and great food. I went for Amritsari Kulcha which was too good. The owner was too kind to indulge with us while our order got ready.
I ordered the paneer kathi roll and Masala chai! It was super great. Top Food.! Top Service! Top ambience!
Amazing Mumbai style food right near the beach. Great options for rolls and snacks. Service by Gurnoor was amazing she was smiling and welcoming! Will surely come again Food
One of the best places to eat indian street food with exactly the same taste and experience..
I asked for a recommendation on which vegetarian curry to order. The staff recommended the Chana Masala. It was $15 for the curry with some rice and it was not good. There were no fresh ingredients in the Chana, just spices and chickpeas. No fresh tomatoes or onion or anything in it. It was also overly spiced, almost gritty. I will not go there again.
Such good vibe! Food was delicious, service friendly and great timing.
Absolutely delicious food, the planner special had just the right amount of spice. Perfect, just perfect
What an amazing place! best curries - not oily, masala chai, everything!
Very nice place for Indian chaat / Street food. Courteous staff and clean place. Loved the pani puri and vada pav!
The food was amazing (had the butter chicken pasta). A little pricy for the serving amount.
Food was kinda ok.. noodles were dry. Lassi was good and even their drinks were ok but food was 2.5/5
I don t remember the names of these dishes I ordered, but they were delicious! The service was very friendly and fast. I loved those little crunchy pods of goodness and I could probably eat 50 of those! I was also recommended the potato stuffed roti/naan (I m sorry I forget the name of it), and was very happy with it! It reminds me of roti canai from Malaysia. So flakey and piping hot! Prices were also very reasonable and portions are more than enough. Will definitely go back to try other dishes. A little hidden gem that deserves more attention on Queen east!
The food is really good.Reminded me of my Mumbai and Delhi years. Portion sizes were very filling. Id recommend and revisit!
Amazing vibe with scrumptious street food. Loved the special serve and complimentary homemade shots
Tasty food
The food was absolutely delicious! I would so recommend going. I was on a walk with my dog and the restaurant aromas called in to get dinner. Great customer service.
It s bad experience Vegetarian options: It s bad Food : 1/5 |
This place is a diamond in the ruff with a unique menu. This is the kind of food Id like to see more of in our city. Good, honest, natural fast food not just processed burgers and garbage. The kathi rolls are awesome and well priced. Chicken was so tender and juicy and well seasoned. Staff is very friendly too. Love you guys hope you are here for a long time!
Amazing service, generous portions, unique atmosphere, and organic juices and lemonade. And thats just the start of a great experience at this fantastic find! First of all, the location. Steps from the Beaches and Kew Gardens, this Indian restaurant with its unusual name - the name of a famous beach in Mumbai - this quaint restaurant has a good mix of take-out, dine-in and patio traffic, good for every need and occasion. Then theres the food. It has tons of options for everyones tastes: butter chicken, samosas, chais, lassis, the BEST naan, vegetarian options galore, and more. I went for the butter chicken curry and rice bowl - and found it to be perfect. With a side of plain naan, I found myself stuffed in short order - and had half of it to bring home for later. Finally, there is the staff. Ripu Singh and his team made the visit fantastic with quick, polite service, helpful suggestions for those of us who were unsure, and made it feel like we were family stopping by to chat, not customers. I will be looking forward to my next visit here, as there are so many different things I want to experience.
Hands down the food was amazing and so was the service. The food portion was super generous and the quality was spot on. Highly recommend for everyone in the beaches area to check it out if you haven t already. Also if you like chai tea wow that is really good too
Revised: the owner reached out and rectified the situation. Not many establishments go out of their way to do that. Thanks chowpatty culture! -------------------------------- We ordered a beef curry and butter chicken for takeout. The cost of the two currys plus a naan came to $46 with tax and tip. I understand the cost of food has gone up, but for nearly $15, a curry should have more than 3 small pieces of meat. That was what we got with each curry. The curry itself was also watery. Disappointing, and will go elsewhere to satisfy our curry craving. Happy to support local but not when the quality of food is this poor.
Outstanding customer service and care. Best pani puri! Everything I have tried on their menu was tasty and spiced to perfection. I m glad they are just around the corner from where I live. They now have tasty fresh limonade.
Amazing food and high quality, attentive service. Highly recommend this place.
We went to celebrate our friends birthday today and we had the pleasure of experiencing the very delicious samosas and pakoras and chicken, and on top of that the very friendly Anaitha gave us the best service ever.Thank you so much Anaitha, we appreciate your hospitality and for sure we will be back for more. We also recommend this place for future dinners get together.Cheers!!
The Amritsari Kulcha is incredible. Good customer service too!
The lid doesnt seal on the takeaway cup so I kept spilling hot chai on my white sweater until I realized the problem!!!! Please change your lids to better fit the cups!
ordered the chicken seekh kebab kathi roll and it was phenomal, not too spicy and super flavourful. we also got the samosa chat which looks and tastes delish! help support this amazing small business - eating in or take out is open! will try their chi next time:)
Ordered the Chicken Tilka Kathi Roll and could hear the cook firing up the stove and making it fresh. Super delicious, tonnes of flavour and the wrap itself had a perfect springy chew. Will definitely be back
Awesome authentic indian street food. Tried paav bhaaji and aloo tikki chat. Nice cosy place to have a meal or takeaway
Ordered Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhature, Samosa Chat & Dahi Puri. Amazing food, place and the people working there are very polite & respectful. Must go place!
Just tried a whole collection of foods and they were all delicious! Will definitely be back again to try more
We tried this place a few days after they opened for takeout and really enjoyed it. We were big fans of the chaat and iced chai.
I ve tried three of the Chaat s so far and I ve loved them all! Flavourful chutney s and sauces, garnished with colourful toppings. So happy this place moved into the beaches!
Fantastic food portion and quality!
Wonderful experience, Great service. Visited on Fri Evening to experience true indian style street food. Ordered Pav bhaji and Chicken Khati Roll and Chai. Chicken khati Roll was excellent and served with Fries, loved the crispness on Fries. Pav bhaji was also upto the mark and they did no shy away from using butter on the pav which we definitely enjoyed. Great food and worth the $ spent. Will definitely visit again next time I vist the beaches.
Really excited to have this spot in the neighbourhood. Stopped by to try a few dishes and everything was fantastic. Great food and very fair pricing. Welcome to the Beach!
We ordered rice with butter chicken on top..it was fresh and tasty The owner guy is friendly we chatted a bit..nice quick experience after a day spent on the beaches
Really good and fresh food!
Finally, a decent curry house in The Beach. Exceptionally delicious.
Wow...wow..wow. The food, the music and the staff were so friendly. I highly recommend the mango Lassi that is made and bottle in house. Looking forward to going back soon.
Parents loved this place, great food and portion sizes were pretty good too.
Got the butter chicken poutine for takeout. It was tasty and delicious. Will be back again for the same or prob try something new as well.
Great food.. especially the chaai. Great staff... definitely going back.
These guys NEED and DESERVE a standing Ovation! I tried their Dhal Makhani rice combo and it was a 7 dish!!!! I went back right after & got 2 more to go! Never been in a Restaurant that handed me my food in under 5mins! EVERYONE MUST try this PHENOMENAL Restaurant at least once. 7/5 STARS!!!
Was craving for chaat and reached here. Boy, we loved it. It s a new joint as owner explained, 2 months old. They already have lots of good reviews that led us here. We tried Aloo Tikki Chaat and that was probably one of the best we had in recent times. Very soft Tikki and optimum masala to go with it. Bombay Grill Sandwich was super too expect that it was on sesame bread which was slightly hard than the usual sandwich bread. It tasted superb. We couldn t resist to get chhole parcel to enjoy later. Totally recommend.
Possibly the best samosas in toronto!! Im hooked!!!!!
Best Pav Bhaji and Masala fries! Very friendly people too!
Delicious. Stupidly didn t take a good pic, but the food is flavourful the people are hospitable. An easy five stars for me. Update September 2022 - outstanding Butter Chicken Special with Gulab Jamin. LOTS of tender chicken and flavourful sauce.
Ordered wings to pick up. I didnt receive a call about them not having them. They didnt tell me in the restaurant either. They just replaced my meal with pasta which I only realised once I had arrived home and opened the container. The pasta was also really over done. So it tasted like I could have gone to a supermarket and bought some cheap microwave pasta instead. Im not sure how they can reason replacing an entire main course with something else and not at least phone the customer. Every restaurant Ive ever seen run out of something in Toronto has phoned. Edit: They said that I had accepted the change on Doordash but I never had any change request come up. It was just changed automatically. A simple quick call to explain is basic customer service. The restaurant was empty when I went past and went back.
Loved this spot!! Highway recommend!!
DELICIOUS!!! I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic Indian food. A bit spicy but very much enjoyed everything we ordered for takeout. Friendly staff. 5/5. Vegetarian options: Delicious Dal, veg noodles dish, aloo tikki Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options
The Bhel Puri is delicious, refreshing and filling. The Mango Lassi has a wonderful subtle blend of spices like Ive never had before. Ill definitely be back for more.
Was disappointing kulcha was burned vadapav was tasteless in short everything was not good compare to price the taste is not good and quantity is less but main things is quality thats not worth it. Vegetarian options: Not worth it..
Wow ,best Kati roll I ve had in Canada ! Butter chicken very memorable. Highly recommend this restaurant. Extremely clean & fairly priced. We tried the panner Kati & the ticka chicken kati .
This place is just amazing . It is so hard to find in the beaches any street food Indian restaurant . The food is fresh and delicious! Staff is amazing and very friendly . Prices are very reasonable . I am very picky with Indian food but this place is just heaven ! Highly recommended!
Food is so delicious, especially the chicken kebab. The chai was flavourful too and prices are affordable.
There is definitely a consistency issue at this place. Recently ordered a pav bhaji and paneer roll (regular order) both turned out to be hugely disappointing. Bhaji was super watery (please don t take the order if you are out of stock). Roll was clearly wrapped in a naan base (very thick than usual) instead of a typical maida/wheat chapatti. Again I am a regular and have high expectations from this place but it s the second time I have been served inconsistent food. I would still encourage you to try this place as their quality and taste is usually spot on.
Quite delicious and reasonably priced. Pretty good portion sizes although the amount of chicken in the butter chicken is rather minimal. The dish itself is very flavourful and tasty. The tandoori chicken meal is also really well seasoned and has lots of flavour. We ve been twice already and will surely return again soon!
Awesome food, great service. Best chole kulcha in Toronto
Awesome Chole Culche and Amritsari Naan bud uplift in a while
They have launched choley bhature and Amritsari kulche ..Both are amazing . Oh yeah! I forgot to share about their pro salad bowl Omg I would say best healthy food in beach area. Lots of love
