Durbar Indian Cuisine is a gem! The owner, originally from Nepal, brings such warmth and authenticity to the experience. The food is absolutely amazing, with rich flavors and great variety. And to top it off, the live jazz show was just phenomenal, adding a unique and lively atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant—you won't be disappointed!
I recently ordered takeout from Durbar Indian Cuisine, and I was really pleased with the quality of the food. Even though it was a takeout order, the dishes were still fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The packaging kept everything intact, and the portions were generous.Ordering was quick and easy, and the food was ready on time. The staff was polite and efficient during pickup. For anyone looking for a reliable takeout option with great food, i highly recommend Durbar Indian Cuisine.
Very much impressed with the ambiance, service and food. Not very expensive and cheap, worth the money and experience! Chicken is Halal.
I’m genuinely surprised this restaurant doesn’t have a higher rating. I’ve experienced a lot of Indian cuisine in Toronto, but Durbar stands out as the best by far. The service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is top-notch. I was amazed to find the restaurant empty when I arrived, as I was the only dine-in customer. This place deserves to be more popular because they've truly excelled in every aspect.
Tremendously great and lovely place to visit! Excellent service and perfect place to hang out with friends and family. Foods, drinks, environment and services are extremely special.🩵 Perfect place to munch. Highly recommend to visit this place. This place is perfect🩷🥰
Just visited this awesome place for Indian Food Tonight , the food was up to the expectations, with the most pleasant atmosphere and excellent customer service by Kapil. We had ordered Chicken Chowmein, Chicken Tikka Masala with Laccha Naan and Chicken Biryani ,they also had an offer for Valentine's Night and offered us one of their special desserts, which was cherry on top or should I say, Rasmalai on Top!
First time here upon a friend’s recommendation and it was great. We were easily able to get a table and everything came out super hot and fresh. The service was also very friendly and the spot was very cozy, we would definitely come back!
The food was delicious. We had Veg Garlic ball which is a must try dish😍. We also had Paneer Makhani and Garlic Naan which was nice too. The service provided by Nishma was very welcoming!!! We will definately visit here again😊
Great restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely come back here again!
What a gem this place is. Sensational food, warm and attentive service and live jazz on the weekends!
I recently visited this Durbar indian cusine restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The food quality was truly exceptional, offering a delightful array of flavors that surpassed my expectations. Equally impressive with the service; the staff was attentive, friendly, and provided a seamless dining experience. The warmth and welcoming staff added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The ambiance was another highlight. The restaurants atmosphere was inviting, creating the perfect setting for a wonderful dining experience. Whether for a casual meal or a special occasion, the ambience was simply excellent.I highly recommend Durbar indian cusine for its outstanding food, impeccable service, and fantastic ambiance. Its undoubtedly a must-visit for those seeking a memorable dining experience.
Always a vibe to come here for a work lunch!
This place is meant for local whites and not for indian or south asian. Restaurant is joke in the name indian food.Absolutely flat food is served., flies are flying around and service sucks as they dont bother to serve unless you are white.
Vegetarian options: Staff is welcoming and food is delicious! Must visit ! Food
Great food, service and ambience. Very comfy dinner here.
Favourite Indian food in Toronto. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful! Absolutely recommend trying this place out for a nice dinner.
Great staff great food
Enjoyed a really delicious meal tonight with excellent service. We ll be back!
I ordered take out. I was told the meal would be ready in 45 mins and planned accordingly. 15 mins later the meal was ready. By the time I arrived to pick it up on time based on the original time, the food was barely warm. I got home and had to reheat everything. Beyond that the food was overall kind of bland, wouldnt go back or recommend.
Very good food and great service by Sajesh and Arminder
good food Food
The server girl is great human and loved her behaviour.
Great place, great hospitality, great food.
Great food great service and really good vibe. Must visit this place to experience Nepali culture and some good food Food
ordered take out from this place. Some Okra, Eggplant and aloo gobi, butter chicken and chicken vindaloo with assorted naans and parathas. The okra was runny with tomato sauce, cauliflower curry was also runny and the eggplant also runny with no flavor. The naans were thick and chewy. Did not try the chicken as we lost interest after having these dishes. It was great a long time ago, but now the food is subpar. They use the same liquid curry for all their vegetables it seems. Would not ever order from here again.
Amazing experience! Great food, lovely music, and nice ambience!! Paneer 65 was delicious
Best indian cuisine in Toronto, thanks to server mr singh for your wonderful service.

This is such a cozy and peaceful place to eat. The staff is kind and the food is always so good
Great place for food, the food is 100% incredible. The food came in good time.
Food is always fantastic. Very cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes a little slow to serve, so maybe not the best if youre in a hurry. Our favorite place to bring friends visiting from out of town.
Great meal and value
I visited this restaurant for the first time, and the food was absolutely fantastic! Every dish was full of flavor, and the spices were perfect. The service was also excellent our waiter, Singh, was incredibly helpful, polite, and kind, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
NAAN WAS SO SPECIAL AND AMAZING
Good food and great service by Sajesh!
Had an amazing time, so full we had to ask them to put the rest order in to go containers. And sajesh suggested me these amazing drinks. Food
Mr Singh was great
The food was good but it was really our waiter that made it a wonderful experience. Rare to get this level if service these days!
Food is delicious and great atmosphere! Highly recommend the Naan garlic bread
We had an excellent experience. The food was delicious. Our server was very pleasant and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Delicious
Excellent food and service! We loved the butter chicken and the lamb curry. The naan was perfect- both crispy and fluffy! Singh was a wonderful and attentive waiter.
Really tasty food and staff is really nice special thing is that they are not much business minded if bill is 55.85$ they charge 55$ a small things but makes them special and taste of food is so good i have been there twice within a week and the atmosphere is also really good they have a big window which they open during summer and its really nice atmosphere in there.
Outstanding flavours, consistency of food quality and variety on the menu. Absolutely delicious. Lunch menu is of superb value and selections. And dinner menu is equally as delicious. Our fave selections include chicken bhuna, lamb korma, chicken tikka, pakoras, Bhaji, and of course, butter chicken. There is a huge selection of vegetarian dishes too. And Durbar s naan is unbelievably good. Especially the garlic naan. We do take out and delivery usually, but the restaurant is charming.
Excellent food! Nice sevice, good prices! Thank you! We come again! Vegetarian options: All possibly Vegetaría/ vegan! Very good!
Delicious lunch special
Amazing food and good service.
Exceptional food and lovely service! We shared several appetizers and had two curries and every bite was delicious and hot. The staff were attentive and took care with everything, and overall it s just a fantastic places will definitely come back especially for one of their great jazz nights!
Cute little place with nice food. Reasonable price

The food was delicious and the service amazing.
Great food with a hint of Nepalese fusion.
Very tasty , nice ambiance !
I had a very good time at the restaurant today. Very nice service and good taste of food. Food
My recent visit to Durbar Indian Cuisine was exceptional. The elegant ambiance set the stage for an exquisite meal. The garlic naan and mutter paneer stood out as particularly delicious dishes. Special mention goes to Sajesh, who was incredibly polite and attentive. His excellent recommendations and impeccable service made our evening perfect. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience.
Great place and great staff
Honesty i didnt have such a wonderful food in Toronto, just walking distance from Jane station. Wowww I really enjoy the vibes. Cheers
Need to improve curries and momos. Outer layer of Chicken chilli momos was thik. Overall it was okay.
It was a very hit day and when we went there, it was really hot indoor also. We were advised that AC was non functional. We were asked to sit infront of fan. The attendant appeared to have no knowledge that fan will blow the sane hot air. Decided to go somewhere else.
Chat papri needs improvement
Great food, great owner, great staff! Healthy and tasty food They have Jazz nights a few Fridays! Great restaurant to have in the community Food : 5/5
We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon here. Very relaxing atmosphere and superb food. Really enjoyed it.
It s nice restaurant, The goat curry reminds me our festival Dashain.
Hats off to Durbar for your amazing food and services. Good vibes, good servers, wonderful manager Mr. Santosh. BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN TORONTO.
. *An excellent choice for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine, offering delicious food, a welcoming ambiance, and outstanding service. Food : 5/5
I often come here with my dad for lunch on Sundays - the lunch special is great value for portion size and tasty. I usually get the Chana masala lunch special.
Jazz music tonight so that was great, table clearing was a bit slow but food was great
Amazing restaurant but even better food! You have to try the Goat meat. Honestly probably the best in GTA (No Bap) seriously tho, it s good.
Very exceptional service especially Kapil and Osha were very kind ! ;) loved itt !
The food was amazing and delicious
Wonderful food with good service and ambience..
Delicious food. Chicken Kadai is perfectly spicy. Eat with garlic naan and you have a complete meal.
Beautiful place with delicious food and attentive staff Special desert given for our birthday woman.
Pathetic food ,I think cook doesn t know how to cook we order chicken seek 6 small pieces cut in rectangular shape ,no salad no mint relish and seek was dry.kebab ,paneer tawa like auger syrup.lacha paratha was horrible G naan was missing. And served by santosh.don t make fool to people. Not to recommend anyone, strange how they getting 4.8 ratting .Nothing personal but honestly food was horrible waste of money
Dine in here is great. The food is good and service is good, server brought out complementary appetizer. Uber eats is a different story though, food is cold, and naan bread ordered was missing (twice). Uber eats says they are allergen friendly and I specified allergens in the order so I at the very least expected the order to be labeled as most places do, but not a single item was labeled with what it is, when items are similar colour its difficult to tell what is what and if they payed any attention to the allergen notes.
Absolutely amazing customer service! The food is always fresh and made to order, and I love how authentic the food is here! If you all want some amazing indian food this is the place to go!! Would recommend to everyone, especially when going out in big groups!
Consistently great Indian food and service! My faves are the palak paneer and the onion kulcha. In my opinion this is the best in the hood.
Delicious food, and wonderfully friendly service!
We love the food here, its consistent, affordable and delicious. We love the tandoor platter or hariyali chicken - its great for anyone who wants something a little less common in the city. There is also a small number of Hakka dishes (trust me, get the garlic balls!), which you cant find elsewhere in BWV. The service is always helpful and prompt, and the prices are affordable. Definitely recommended for anyone in the area! Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie and vegan options!
Best place to have good food in Toronto
This is our go to Indian restaurant. Food is authentic, delicious, and well priced. Staff is always polite. Atmosphere is fine/ not typical India decor but clean and simple Vegetarian options: Vegetarian daughter loves it here
One of the BEST curries weve had in Canada. The service was great. The food was on point. I particularly liked the Hariyali Tikka that Ive never tried before which was in the tandoori mixed grill. All washed down with a Kingfisher beer We tried to order Pilau rice but the waitress didnt know what it was which surprised us. The restaurant itself was welcoming and cosy. Its quite small so was lucky to get a table without booking. You could see they were busy with takeaways. Going downstairs to use the toilets was a bit disappointing and think they need a refurb. The carpets on the stairs looked worn down and dull. Overall we was very happy with our choice to eat out in Jane.
The food and the service here is so good. The cozy atmosphere, good food & amazing service is all worth it. Best indian resturnant in in town.
A hidden Gem of exquisite fine dining delight. Having frequented most of the Indian Restaurants in GTA, Durbar is my new favourite. If I am taking out friends out company to impress, Im making reservations here. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection and bursting in genuine savory yumminess. Just enough spice (not too hot), but their unique blending of Nepalese Indian influence is the excellence that is missing in typical Indian Restaurant Kitchens. Fresh produce and meats enhance the experience and are just plain Yummy! The atmosphere is nice and would be lovely for a date night out, Quiet, quaint and relaxed. P. S. The Chilly Chicken Momo is my new favorite appetizer. If youre a foodie, Durbar should be near the top of your list. Cheers!
Amazing rasmalai
Great for hosting parties and the food is amazing! Vegetarian options: The fries are amazing! Food : 5/5 |

Loved the tandoori chicken and also the tandoori vegetarian
Really good food and service. Food
Very friendly staff, delicious meal
First time trying indian food the service here was fantastic the people where great and the good was amazing
Amazing food! I m never disappointed with anything I ve had here! Granted, I ve only ever had dine-in or pickup. I ve had lots of their dishes, but the Aloo Gobi, Pakoras, and naan are to die for. Friendly staff & great service!
Order for mutton button but received onion button I paid $16 but got only cost $1 onion
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thanks to Samson for amazing hospitality.
We really had a great time. The food was really nice and the Chai Tea was our favourite!
Received chicken tikka in a soggy and almost leaking cardboard box. Garlic Nan was cold and soggy. The order was received after almost 90 minutes while claiming 45 minutes. The food was cold when received because of the delay.
durbar is solid. tasty fresh food. friendly people. best in the neighborhood.
My wife and I have been ordering from Durbar for years. But the quality seems to have gone down and the price has gone up. The butter chicken tasted like Campbell s tomato soup. The korma chicken tasted very chalky. The roti was also very chewy. The saving grace was the mulligatawny soup, which was very tasty. I m sad to say that, years long customers, we may not be ordering from there again.
Fantastic food and at very very nice prices. Staff are always friendly. Lunch specials are amazing. They even have live music. A+++
Absolutely amazing mad at myself for not discovering this place before
Delicious food for good price. N huge portions
Great place
Everything is great Quality of food is always good Food
Really enjoyed my lunch which was freshly made and promptly served. Ill be back for sure, its a nice casual dining room and reasonably priced.
Our favourite spot in town. Really tasty across the board. Definitely recommend the Malai Kofta
We ordered Ckn biryani, butter chicken, Naan and ckn tandoori. Food came on time and the taste was great specially ckn biryani with raita, my daughter is a great fan of butter ckn and got thumbs up from her. Keep it up. We will order soon again.
It was our first visit but definitely not our last. We had a group with some very apprehensive first timers and boy did the food change their minds. We had a variety of dishes..and were hard pressed to pick a favourite. Service was great, atmosphere was comfy. Check it out..you wont be disappointed!
Our first meal in Toronto. Really nice. Recommend
Food was not good..
Vegetarian options: Good food Food
Tasty, fresh, great food and amazing staff!! We will be regulars!
Delicious lunch special. Friendly and quiet. Good atmosphere for a visit.
Amazing! Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming atmosphere with great food choices. Absolutely loved it!! Food : 5/5 |

Nice place to have a party, good food, very friendly attentive staff.
Amazing food with great hospitality wonderful experience Thank you team for making our day Vegetarian options: Panner tikka Dal makhani Dal tadka lots of choice
First time visiting this hidden gem, but definitely not my last. I was referred to by a close friend and I will continue to recommend to all my friends Vegetarian options: Garlic Balls
Lunch combo is really good here!
Busy place. Decent food. A bit pricy
I visited the restaurant on 14th march for dinner. I was greeted fairly good by the service team but unfortunately the food was not good. We ordered the tandoori machi and paneer tikka masala. The machi was overcooked and stale and made me sick. The paneer tikka masala was also not up to the mark.
It was a best experience espicially the food and staffs were friendly.
Vegetarian options: All items cooked in same gravy Dietary restrictions: They do not follow instructions
Amazing food and amazing staff! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
Excellent service, very tasty dishes, and jazz Friday nights! Oooooo doggie that s good!!
Worst food I had in Canada! I chose this place for my party and was left embarrassed at the end because of the quality of food. We all left in between to go to other Indian place because of the horrible food we were served. After consuming so much time in preparations also, starters came uncooked with weird salt-spice combination. After starters only, we all decided to leave the place leaving half of the stuff at the table. We were a party of 7 people and not again ever we are gonna come back. We had veg, non-veg, seafood and drinks. Best part at table was water. Hope so it was filled from the filter and not directly from the tap!!
Horrible food. Visited on 15th April for dinner.
Long waiting time worst experience.not recommended
Best restaurant
The food at Durbar is simply outstanding! The flavors are authentic and perfectly balanced. The service is attentive and friendly, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience.
The food and hospitality of Durbar Indian Cuisine was awesome and the staff over there are so friendly and kind. I will definitely go again and again for the food and the hospitality which they gave to me. Thank you Durbar family for the awesome treatment.
Best in the game
best place to enjoy Indian cuisine
One if the finest restaurant in Toronto Worth visiting Food
The environment was so clean and food was perfect with reasonable price. Would definitely visit again
Superb restaurant amazing experience and most of all the food there is breathtaking especially the items from tandoor .chef s kiss. Keep up the good work.
Got food poisoning after eating the chicken korma on may 7th. Wouldn t recommend
Disappointed given the Google reviews. Service was non existent: some people had to wait at the door for nearly 15 mins to be seated (even though there were lots of spaces); we waited 15 mins before someone came to take our order and another 25 mins before an order of 2 samosas finally landed on our table eventually when the mains came, our order was messed up. The place smelled like stale spices and the food was pretty bland. The breads were inauthentic and oily af. The saving grace was the Daal Makhani that was quite good. Overall, there are other Indian restaurants in the area that are better though more $ than this.
Good food
The worst Indian food ever - all dishes were very oily, rotis are too thick as though one is eating dough. Chaat was too dry did not have enough yogurt and chutney mixture. Prices is too much for what you get
Thank you Kapil for helping us order, exceptional service!!
Naan was fine. That s about it. Skip the chana and paneer, it s not seasoned. Also if you order online be prepared to pay more. The prices are not accurate.
Wt a great food. We ordered mushroom paneer dal makhni everything was amazing. Too good. The person who served was superb, I guess the guy from Nepal and the chef al good. Please visit there the taste is superb you cant find that taste in other restaurants
Absolutely horrific... found a napkin in my butter chicken... not to mention they dont provide rice or Naan with the butter chicken and dont say anything about it on Skip the Dishes. Never ordering here again. Disgusting
Ive done both dine in and take out. Delicious and friendly staff. Butter chicken, tandoori chicken and a few other veggie dishes were delicious
Love the food and the people who work there!
Absolutely terrible food. Quantity is the worst and food was very bad plus missing drinks.
We came here on the recommendation of my Indian client who told us it was very authentic. The service is friendly, easy going atmosphere, I had no issue dining in a tank top during summer heat. There is a TV on which I dont love, but the music is pleasent and its easy upbeat vibe. The manager was professional but not suffocating or overly serious, just gracious, dress casual style himself, and served our dinner without delay or hassle. The food was wonderful, it was spiced in a way that preserved subtle flavours. Often other places it was just spicy without much aroma or subtlety. We came back two more times before this review, both lunch specials and main courses. I had the Vindaloo twice and Chana Masala. The rice, just plain rice, was consistently so well cooked that every grain was seperate, nice pillowy texture and perfectly absorbed the main course laid on top. Loved it and felt well served, so it was refreshing to go. We have been to many others in the city and the area. Prices were also fair, they did not use the pandemic to double prices. Other patrons were also munching happily and chatting. I recommed this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Many dishes and will modify to make it vegan.
We ordered Palak Paneer for takeout last Friday, August 18th. It was tasteless and covered in margarine/oil.
No more!!! We ve been ordering from DURBAR for probably 10 years and we loved it and recommended them to everyone who wanted delicious Indian food. But this past year we ve noticed a serious decline. It started with something missing from our orders - only to be promised to get it free in n our next order (no refunds no delivery of the missed item) which is so frustrating. It happened again this time. To make things worse we ordered for some guests we were having. Our garlic naan came plain and tasteless. Everything else was off. The butter chicken in particular was horrible - dry chicken in what tasted like tomato soup with a splash of cream. Ugggg. Sadly we won t spend another penny at this restaurant. Such a shame they in our opinion used to be the best in town!!
We ordered catering for 30 people for my sons birthday party. We were shocked to see that the quantity of food delivered was only for 15 people. When we enquired about the low quantity to the person who brought the delivery he answered very rudely saying that, your people might eat more, but this is how much we deliver for 25 to 30 people. The mutton vindaloo and chicken curry had lot of potatoes, more than the meat pieces !! My guests were searching for meat pieces inside the curry, which was an embarrassment. The boneless chicken biryani should be renamed as chickenless chicken biryani. Hardly any pieces of chicken here and there. More than the food the attitude of the person who spoke in the phone when we called back for a feedback was ridiculous. I will never recommend this place for any party catering.
Ive been coming to Durbar for years now and I can say that the food and service is always top quality! Every time we go with the family we always get a warm welcome from the servers. Not to mention this is my dads favourite restaurant and makes the half hour drive just for their service and food. Its sad to see that there are fake reviews posted up, as we have never experienced anything that these fake reviews have up. If you want quality food then you may have to wait a bit, if you expect your food to come instantly then youre better off at mcdonalds drive through. Ive never had to wait an absurd amount of time for the food here, always comes out at a reasonable time hot and fresh! I highly recommend Durbar cuisine to everyone as its our favorite place!!
Best butter chicken i have ever tried in Toronto. Other food were also delicious with great hospitality. I recommend everyone to try butter chicken with garlic naan it feels like heaven..
We ordered catering for 20 people..all the items are delicious and good quantity..I should recommend to everyone..this is the best place for indian cuisine....Butter chicken is sooo yummy...all my guests was happy with the food ..we will order again
I must say the dishes prepared in durbar indian cuisine is so good. I had mushroom takatak, chicken tandoori, and naan. It was really awesome I personally asked the name of chief, Samson joy he did a hreat job !!
Great food ,flavour full nor extra spices or more chilli , lovely flavorful food. Also service was really good . Enjoyed it we had great time .
The food was good. The service can be improved by having more people.. it was so busy and there was just 1 person in the front for dine in and take out together..
Best place for your next dinner. Best Butter chicken and tawa paneer are the best and the don t miss their kabab Staff is friendly, food taste the best. Even better than brampton restaurants. Its nice , calm and great ambience. Highly recommended to everyone. Fine dine and a very clean restaurant.
I did my rehearsal dinner with durbar and their food was amazing, I was surprised on top of that they had such a great service, we have 22 guest and they stayed on top of it, they were very accommodating to our request, me and my fiance are really happy with this restauranr and I will definitely come back
Good food I tried in Toronto..its like feel home .. Recommended to our new friend from Nepal who love Indian food...check out this place...
Fantastic Indian cuisine, delicious flavors and warm ambiance. Biryani, butter chicken and naan are amazing! You must give it a try !
Worst Indian food I ve ever had in Toronto. The chickpea curry was BLAND and the chickpeas in the curry were raw and not cooked properly. The Momos were all soggy and coated in a sauce that tasted like sheer salt water. The food was served after 45 minutes of waiting and what came on our table was almost inedible. We sadly wasted half of it as we couldn t eat it after a point!!!!!
Indulging in the culinary delights of Durbar Indian Cuisine was a true pleasure. The diverse menu featured an array of authentic Indian dishes, each a burst of delicious flavors. The attentive service and inviting ambiance made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Momo, Chicken tikka, butter chicken, and butter Nan is awesome. I feel like a home. I highly recommend my Nepali friend to visit once over here. Im already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their delectable offerings.
Food was good. I enjoy it daily. Food
Delicious food, friendly, polite and accommodating staff. Will certainly be coming back, thank you!
What a amazing food! I just wanna say a big thank you to all the members of the restaurant we had ordered a catering service which was really great and iam happy and hopping to get back again. We had ordered butter nan chilly chicken and a basmati rice which was awesome. #highly recommend
Good food great jazz on Friday nights, however last week 11/10 the singers mic was way too loud.and conversation was impossible to compete with her.. recommendation turn down the mic....
Excellent restaurant for uncooked meat, visit here if you like uncooked goat and chicken. I visited here yesterday, and first we ordered goat masala, it was 90-100% uncooked , then we thought Chicken will be easy to cook so that will be okay, but then chicken was 20-30% uncooked, how can any restaurant serve uncooked food??????
Indian food lover. First time ordering and the aromatic flavours instantly blew me away. Good portions for price. Items I ordered could be made vegan, which I loved. Chana masala is a bit spicy if you cant handle heat. Briyani is full of flavour and veggies. Very prompty delivery. Well packaged. Still hot. 100% ordering again.
