I went here for dinner during Summerlicious. Delicious food. Amazing service.
We went for Valentine's Day today and we loved the food. The ambience was so romantic. Surprisingly the food was kind blowing. We had a 4 course pre fix valentine's dinner menu and each dish was delicious.
I had an exquisite dining experience at Kamasutra Indian Restaurant. The Vegetable Pakora and Veg Samosa were delightful starters that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The flavors of the Dal Makhni were rich and comforting, while the Aloo Gobi showcased the perfect balance of spices. The Garlic Naan was a delightful accompaniment, adding an aromatic twist to the meal. Every dish was executed with finesse, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. I'll definitely be returning for more of their delicious offerings.
I really like this place . We had a delicious dinner here. The garlic Naan was great, butter chicken good too. Tikka Masada was also good and the daal was creme and extremely tasty. I would come back here again for sure
This was our first ever restaurant in Canada and I must say it was amazing. Ambience is good. Service is also good. Food taste was great. We went during winterlecious season. And we had great experience. Must try dishes - Mushroom Tilki, Palak, Corn and Mushroom curry.! Thank you.!
We stopped in because my friend is a vegetarian and liked Indian food. Not the type of food I usually eat since my last Indian food experience was way too spicy. To my surprise the food was very tasty, and not very spicy. Funny that the music playing in this upscale restaurant was some hardcore rap, maybe time to tone that down a bit LOL
I came across a deal that I couldn't resist so my sidekick, Raj, and I went out looking for Kamasutra. It's an Indian restaurant on Bayview, south of Eglinton, with a Green P lot conveniently located across the street. Once inside, we were greeted by a very cheery young lady, Danielle. The decor was very nice and upscale. We asked about the special that I had come across but the manager said it was only available Monday through Thursday, even though it wasn't dated. Anyway, we managed to get past that and the manager ended up taking care of us through most of our visit. We ordered from a four course menu that had lots of choices. We started with the Onion Bhaji and Tandoori Lamb Tikka. Both dishes were delicious, packed with flavour. The onion bhaji was crispy and was served with a tamarind sauce and pickled onions. The lamb was served off the skewer with a mint sauce, some veggies, and more of those yummy pickled onions. Wow, a great way to start our meal! The remaining dishes arrived all at once, each in its own bowl, making it very easy to share. It all looked delicious but the camera had to eat first. See photos. The Lamb Vindaloo is a curry stew with potatoes and spices. It was very good but Raj thought it tasted a little gamey. I loved it. The Kamasutra Butter Chicken had a lot of rich tomato sauce, maybe a tad more tomato than I'm used to in butter chicken but it did taste very good. The chicken was moist and had a good depth of flavour. This may be one of the top three butter chicken dishes I've enjoyed. Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese) may not be a very attractive dish but this version tasted very good. Again, maybe another top three. We tried the Malai Kofta, a dish I've never seen before. It's a cottage cheese ball in a creamy cashew nut sauce. Interesting, in a very good way. I would order this again. Rounding out our meal was a Chicken Biryani, Pulao Rice, regular naan, and garlic naan. The pulao rice had a little saffron, peas, and cumin. The naan was hot and crispy and the garlic naan was delicious. I love garlic. The chicken biryani was colourful and had a generous amount of moist chicken. This might be the best one I've had. We also tried Cheetah Indian beer. It's a lager that we both found was a little sweeter than the Kingfisher we tried recently. It was good. Overall, I have to say this is the best Indian restaurant I've been to. The food was excellent. The service turned out to be be really good, especially from Danielle, who checked in with us frequently. Now that I've discovered Kamasutra, I can't wait to come again. ;)
We went here for New Year's Eve and the restaurant itself is tastefully decorated. The food however, was just okay. Nothing to call home about and have definitely had better butter chicken at other Indian restaurants. Also quite pricey ($70/pp) for not even including any drinks but a coffee or tea at the end with dessert. The entertainment was also just okay, with the most interesting part being the sitar guitarist playing an amazing solo. Interesting experience but don't think we'd do it again.
Kamasutra has a wide variety of menu items and the butter naans are the best ever when partnered with the chana Masala +portions are good for 2-4 people (excluding appetizers and deserts) Parking: You need to backtrack and turn on a side street and park there
We have been dining and having takeout from Kamasutra since the begining , very fine dishes. The dining room is just fabulous , it feels very special dining in that ambience. Food
I can make better food at home. Overpriced dishes made with frozen vegetables from Costco. Food is not worth the spend.
Delicious platters for a group of 30: Kama Sutra delivered us absolutely delicious meal platters and exceptional customer service for our event. They were courteous, very professional and on time. We will definitely order from you again. Thank you! Platters for a group of 30: Kama Sutra delivered delicious meals to us. Their customer service was courteous and very professional. They delivered our order on time. We will not hesitate to order from you again. THANKS!
Fantastic Indian food in Leaside! We ended up going to this place by accident because the restaurant I originally booked was closed. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, spacious. We could have our privacy and the service was amazing. We decided to go back there two times and food and service is always consistant. The waiters will help you even if they arent the one helping your table. Every time we go there, we try a few dishes and have never been disappointed. The food is even better the next day when reheated :) I will definitely go back to try their lunch menu!
Visited on July 13th - went for summerlicious. Amazing value at $35 per person for 3 course meal. Quality and quantity was excellent. The appetizers were good and for mains we enjoyed the Madras Prawn curry, chicken labadar, lamb and butter chicken. Naans were hot and delicious. Cant wait to return again!
I am sorry for this comment, but it was a bad experience and it will not happen again, and they have bad service
15.6.24 _ Amazing Lunch party!!! Great Hosts and staff is absolutely warm and friendly 5 Stars throughout!!
Hosted a wedding lunch/reception for around 100 people at Kamasutra and we had an amazing experience with them. The food is always great but the service was completed exactly the way we had asked and our guests were all served in a timely manner. They also went above and beyond to get us a microphone and speaker for our speeches which was a huge help to us. Cant thank them enough for all the effort they put into making this day special for me and my partner! Would recommend them to anyone visit whether for a dinner or for a large event or special occasion.
Birthday dinner for wifey. She loved it! Great atmosphere. Linen table cloth and serviettes. Candle light. Soft music in background. Easy parking. Really a great place for a nice dinner out. The food is fantastic!
The Best food + service + atmosphere..
I have been coming to Kamasutra since it first opened in Leaside and recently went again for dinner to dine in. The food is always exceptional and a great value for the price. I recommend the daal makhani or lamb vindaloo if you like spice. The staff is courteous and even provided a dessert on the house at the end of the meal. By far one of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto.
Great food! Its a fine dining place. Very good presentation and food was really delicious. The person who waited on us was so courteous. We are happy we chose this place!
Really great Indian in Toronto. Especially great for a larger group to share lots of place. Service is always fantastic, and the food is delicious!
Culinary masters. After my third visit (dine in, delivery, and pick up), Ive tried enough of their dishes to say they consistently deliver the most delicious Indian cuisine Ive had just about ever. The spicy dishes like lamb vindaloo have real kick. Their mild dishes like palak paneer are full of subtle complexity. The bhaji are delicious, the brie pakoras were a surprising delight. Nothing was under or overcooked, servings were plentiful, quality ingredients were top notch.
I am utterly disappointed! I visited for the first time during Winterlicious and the food and service was phenomenal. I ordered takeout the very next day and the butter chicken cubes were so hard and the Naan werent cooked all the way through. I will probably go again but only for sitdown dinner where I can ask for a replacement dish if theres a problem.
Very good appetizers and main. Desserts sadly lacking. Mango ice cream had been thawed and refrozen, rice pudding sadly lacking
Best butter chicken in Toronto! Guaranteed! The onion bhajis are awesome (please put a little more tamarind sauce out with the appetizer platter! The little dish you give is too small!)
They left big metal flower boxes on the fence hanging into the sidewalk, while the sidewalk is covered in snow and the path is narrow. The flower boxes are metal with very sharp edges, this is a total safety hazard. I called and let them know; someone said they d inform the management. We ll see if they act promptly.
Good food
Sadly not a great experience. The decor looks smart, but from the washrooms there needs to be some maintenance. The biggest issue was the food, which is likely the reason for a lack of customers at 8pm. We started with the chefs platter, which should have been delicious. The fried brie seemed stale, the chicken was dry and the samosa was very plain. We decided not to opt for mains and found another restaurant, which was cheaper and tastier. It was also a little chilly - as well as the popodoms, which were cold and not freshly cooked. The Margo chutney was straight out the fridge and not good quality.
Food and hospitality is really good
We were very impressed with the food and service. The pakoras, chicken tikka, mango lassis, butter chicken. All delicious. Highly recommend this place.
Amazing food with authentic Indian taste. Ambience is cool and amazing place to hang out or party with friends and family
Giving 5 star as I met someone close to my heart here.
My name is JJ Czinner. Kamasutra is excellent. The food is great and the service is perfect. We order vegan: Naan, eggplant, okra, cauliflower and chickpeas, with lots rice. Vegetarian options: Vegan is easy Dietary restrictions: Vegan is easy
Wow! Didnt realize I never rated this restaurant. This has been my fave for years. Every single meal I have ever had from them has been DELISH! The Goan, korma, saag, etc, etc, etc. All YUMMY! Oh, as for butter chicken, theirs and Foodieez are the only butter chicken I recommend so far. You cant go wrong with any meal from Kamasutra.
One of the person who is working is quite annoying but food is okay
Poor hospitality, poor taste.
Pathetic food. Spoiled my evening. This is the worst Indian food I had in Canada so far.
Worst food I have ever had. I dont recommend. Had food poisoning
Although the QR code isn t mandatory, the front of house wouldn t let us in for no given reason. Disappointing especially because it was completely empty. The one other time we were there, he/they wouldn t pick up the phone. It went unanswered for the whole duration of our meal. It was quite irritating and ruined the experience. Good food but horrible service, it ruins everything. It s time for a new, more professional manager.
Loved it here. The food and service are amazinggggg!
I loved the Ambience and food Its so amazing Best place for date night too
Terrible service and attitude This is the second time I ve ordered online and over the phone - both times the orders were cancelled Staff responding were very rude I was shouted at for the duration of the call It used to be very different. Now it s just a low to medium class Indian resto - in Leaside!!
My first time at the restaurant was in 2010 for my girlfriend s (now fiancée) birthday. The food was amazing then, and still amazing now (i.e., yesterday). My fiancée and I usually visit this restaurant once a year together to celebrate special occasions, whether it s one of our birthdays, a job promotion, finishing school, etc. Last month, for the first time, we brought some friends out for one of their birthdays. We had some picky eaters in the bunch who never really had any Indian food outside of butter chicken or samosas. I ordered some shareables for the table and they loved them. My friends said they would definitely come back. Whenever we go the Kamasutra, we get the Lover s Thali Dinner for 2 (apps, 3 mains, naan bread, rice). That way if you re not sure what to order, you can try a few things. My trip to the restaurant yesterday was for my birthday dinner. The place was quiet and we had a nice window seat. The food and service was excellent as usual. Shoutout the Jasmeet for the great service! He was attentive, and informative when we asked some questions about a couple questions about new items on the menu that hadn t seen before (which ended up being delicious by the way). He also did a great job balancing the going back and forth between the takeout, Uber/Skip/etc orders and us. Long story short, if you re looking for a great place to have some Indian food, I recommend giving this place a shot.
Usually my favourite. And maybe they were having an off night. But the brie pakoras were much more pakora than brie. Was ridiculous.
Was originally a 5 star review, however, after ordering recently Ive been disappointed by ordering garlic naan and getting plain, curry more watery etc. I no longer recommend this restaurant which is truly disappointing as it was one of my favourites for over 4 years. Original review: Had my first meal here when I moved to Canada 3.5 years ago and Ive always enjoyed it when I can since. The food never disappoints! Ill be ordering again ASAP.
Very delicious! Dal makhani was yummy, and a great replacement after my usual Indian place closed during the pandemic. Cannot remember now what other dish I ordered but it was also good. Havent been to the actual restaurant in person for years, but I remember liking the atmosphere.
We love this place. Very good food
I was taken here for my birthday dinner and it was fabulous! The servers were attentive and very friendly, the tables and space were decorated beautifully, their vegetarian curries and biriyani were very well prepared. Ill be sure to visit again.
Tasty food, awesome ambient (patio), friendly staff. We enjoyed

Lovely food [CHEF RAM PRASAD]
We had a great dinner out. The dinner for two was very well prepared. The table was set for fine dining, we enjoy our hors d oeuvres and followed by our main course with choices of two meat based and a vegetarian entrees. We selected butter chicken, chicken marsala, palak paneer and raita, saffron rice, etc.. the meal was well prepared, top notch customer service. Ideal for treating that special someone, or business dinner. The main dining area is very clean and well maintained. There was a large family group but wasn t disturbing to our outing. Definitely going back in the future.
It hurts me to post this review as the food is excellent and for dine-in the service is good. That being said, their take out service (over their own website) it is in a downfall trend. I had consecutive orders that were incorrect. Missing rice, missing naan, wrong main dish, etc. They were fixing the problem every time, but had to wait another X minutes (up to 45 min) to get the right item. I kept returning as I love the food, but I was checking the order in the restaurant before leaving... Yesterday, after placing an order online and them going to the restaurant 50 minutes later I got yet another surprise. My order was not even sent to the kitchen and my visit triggered them to look into that... They were expecting me to now wait another 50 minutes? I guess I should have read the signs earlier... I am done with this restaurant, despite their good dishes. I just cannot longer tolerate the service they provide.
Fantastic food & cocktails!!!! Service was great as well. Super impressed.
Have been to so many restaurants and never had an experience like this one. The cook cooked such delicious food. There were all the green flags of a restaurant like warm plates, speck-free tablecloth and dishes, perfect quantity of food and waiter was extremely kind and professional. Such good fine dining experience. Thank you for your amazing service. 100% recommended. Vegetarian options: Delicious!
Very bad food. The staff doesn t know how to behave COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME ..
Good food, reasonably priced. Quiet.
Excellent Service..!! Delicious Food..!!
Amazing food! Butter chicken and curry were super delicious. We also loved the naans! Very friendly staff!
Place is good with good ambiance but one of the worst food I had. We ordered four curries and almost all 4 are not good. Especially the butter chicken, too sweet. I mean they added sugar to the butter chicken. The sweetness of butter chicken comes from onions and cashews not by adding sugar. All reviews talks about butter chicken but I feel those reviews are by people who never had authentic butter chicken. It s the same story with cottage cheese makhni. These two dishes should be in the desserts section of the menu. 4 stars fir the place and service -ve 5 stars for the food
The garlic Naas is a must have here!
Excellent food. Great waiting staff. Felt very comfortable in the dining room, definitely would go back again. Best Indian food I have ever had.
Outstanding and flavourful dishes. Impeccable service. Family, casual and friendly atmosphere.
we had the thali for 2, we had so much food we brought home left overs. lovely ambience, great food, good beverage selection. we will be back!
No one in this restaurant knows how to behave.
Decent food
This is one of our absolute favorite Indian restaurants of all time! We will gladly drive an hour to pick up the delicious meals from here. The restaurant itself is very tastefully designed, with a lovely ambience hoping all works well for them through the lockdown, so we can eat in-house again soon. The blend of spices and the flavours at Kamasutra are just incomparable. Everything on their menu is delicious. Our favourites are: Chicken Vindaloo (if you like it spicy) Butter Chicken (sooo fragrant, with tender chicken) Madras fish curry (rich and coconut-ty) - When the menu was updated a few years back, the fish option was not offered for the Madras curry anymore. But if you call in and request it, the Chef happily makes it. I recently order from there last night they made it with fish and it was the best I ve had yet. The naan is soft, fragrant and you ll gobble them up, so order extras! The garlic naan is divine. The rice was perfection, not a single grain over or undercooked. All servings are a very generous size but the flavours and preparation are so delicious that you ll want to order extra and satisfy those leftover cravings the next day!
Exceptional Indian food
Classic bar setup with a banquet style dining tables. I m pretty sure they can improve the ambiance to give a modern private style soft or hard partitions to keep the proper restaurant dining experience. Owner is a nice gentleman as well as working staff!
We ordered take-out for the first time. Everything was top-notch! The flavours were perfect and the presentation was lovely. The online ordering system was easy and sophisticated with lots of choices and the delivery was timely. 10 out of 10!
Great place for Indian food Mist visit
My experience with kamasutra has been horrible. I bought madras chicken and vegetable curry And it was horrible. Chicken was sooo hard that it was not chewable and so was the roti. It felt like it was a piece of rubber
Always delicious!
Exceptional food.
The food was mediocre! The taste has been modified a lot. Its not Authentic Indian food. The Palak paneer tasted like spinach puree with some pieces of Paneer. The portions were big. The appetizers were tasty.
Great food and great people. We always go, or get takeout, whenever were in Toronto.
Went there yesterday for dinner and ate at the patio. Beautiful setting and the food was delicious. We had the tandoori lamb tikka which is a sizzler and even though the server warned us that it may be spicy for our 3-yr old, she ate it quite easily. We also had the onion bhaji which was quite ok. The main dishes included lamb vindaloo and mutton korma both of which I would highly recommend if you are going here. I will definitely be going back here again.
Been going here for years. Very high quality ingredients and fantastic food. I keep coming back
Delicious! We really enjoyed our take out meal. However it is worth noting that the Lamb Vindaloo is guaranteed to induce labour! If your wife is pregnant and you wanna get the birthing process started, an order of lamb vindaloo will do the trick! Advice to the fathers to be, dont over eat. After a 7pm dose of the vindaloo, contraction should start around 2:30am and you dont want to be sluggish in the delivery room. I am very sluggish right now and regret the 3rd portion I ate.
A nice and a pleasant place to have lunch or dinner. If you want experience Indian cuisine in Toronto, ON I would suggest this place. Fairly priced and good service. Due to covid restrictions only patio services are open as of July 2021. Hopefully situation gets better in the coming days. Service - Good Location - Good Quality - Good Taste - Good. Wat more you would expect than this I recommend to visit once.
Nice staffs and food quality is great, speaciallt the lamb beryani
Awesome ambiance, delicious food and huge variety of drinks to choose from. Keep doing the great work!
Really solid meal. The Thali for 2 was HUGE. Great variety and large menu.
Great service Food was also great I just found some of the food was a bit cold; my husband had chicken and he said it was a bit hard to chew. Would still recommend.
Great ambiance and service but food was ok!
What a good experience!!! We ate butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and another dishes, they were delicious, plenty of flavour. It was an great food and a good size. Service was great too. It is a place you need to go and we need to go back.
My whole family were there on their opening and have supported this establishment eating in, all these years, but this evening for the first time ordered a takeout and the experience was terrible and had to cancel the order because of poor service, but more so the way they talked to my wife. Learn how be be nice to your customers! No more Kamasutra cuisine for for us or our whole extended families.
Best food.. Very nice ambience and warm staff... a must visit for Indian food.. Dont let the name of the restaurant divert your mind... its a super classy family restaurant!! Thanks!
The taste of the food here has really improved! It is delicious . I wish they had a tandoori whole fish.
Excellent food and service. Palek paneer and butter chicken were perfectly spiced and onion bhaji was great starter
Delicious onion bhaji, butter chicken, palek paneer, naan and rice. Each dish spiced perfectly for our taste. Service was great.
Great food and beautiful atmosphere
Nice menu. Cozy place
This place serves amazing Indian food.I would say one of the best Indian food I had in Canada. The decor is beautiful and staff is very polite and extremly friendly.I been to this place multiple times and the food always turns out to be super delicious.Furthermore, they always serve freshly prepared Naans.Dont miss the tandoor items on the menu, they prepare it with lot of hard work it reflects in the amazing taste and flavours of the dish.I am very impressed by the hard work they put in all the dishes they prepare. If you are looking for amazing Indian food experience this is the place to go.
Food is very good. Unfortunately they removed shish-kebob from the menu. Good service, friendly smiles all around. Very attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Good atmosphere. Not piped in east Indian music all the time. That is refreshing. Most East Indian restaurants have piped in Indian music. It is refreshing to not always hear it! Enjoy. Cheers
Not so good food and too pricey.
Best Indian food in Toronto. Hands down!
Loved the food, the atmosphere and the customer service
Great Indian food. Good environment as well.
Good prices good food
We spent Valentines Day here. I must say, I left quite impressed with their Valentines Day package in terms of its price point ($55 per couple - this includes a four course dinner per person...too good of an offer to pass on!) and the quality of the food. The Lamb Adraki chops were delectably moist and melts in the mouth. My wifes Fish Bhuna was good too and so was my Chicken Shajehani. My one minor quibble here would be that for most Indians such as myself, the flavouring of the food might come off a touch, how should I say, modified for Caucasian palettes. Its not the level of spice per se that bothers me. Not all Indian food is spicy after all. It is the flavour profiles of the dishes that leave the average Indian who knows the food well wanting more. That issue notwithstanding, my wife who isnt Indian enjoyed her food and so did I. Try their cocktails out as well - the tango mango and casa blanca drinks are great! We are definitely going to come back to try out some of the restaurants other offerings. Wonderful ambiance, good food, good drinks...cant wait to come back again!
Great food and service
The ambience is very nice. The service is also very good. but indian taste is somewhere missed
Very nice, friendly , clean and affordable Must visit
Amazing food. Very flavourful. Our favourite Indian restaurant in the area. Nice patio as well.
Great food!
I used to love this place. I ve sent many people to this place. I personally love the food and still do. But everytime I order for pick up the last 3 times I end up having to wait for an additional 30minutes from when my food app says it s ready for pick up vs when I actually get my food. The worst part is the lack of communication from the staff. Right now as I write this I ve been standing in the restaurant for 16 minutes before anyone even speaks to me. It s incredibly frustrating. I could easily come 30 minutes later if one would just indicate that. There are now 6 of us waiting for pickup. At minimum better communication, or even to simply let us know to wait another 10/15/20 minutes or even the simplicity of saying your food isn t ready yet. It has now been 45 minutes of me waiting here.
Very nice interior, delicious food, fast service. Recommend!
good food
Sunday buffet is delicious! Beautiful decor, bright and clean, calm atmosphere. Popular dishes as part of buffet. Staff are attentive and helpful, highly recommend!
Went here last night, lovely restaurant parking was available right outside the restaurant on the street. Mousuf was our server, recommended some really nice dishes. Will definitely visit again.
tasty Indian foods
If you are looking for good indian food then dont forget this place.... really tasty food
Good ambience and food ....
The food and hospitality were divine. We went for Winterlicious and enjoyed an array of food from the menu and were thoroughly satisfied. A must visit. Thank you to the chefs for a lovely meal and to the hosts who were so pleasant.
Chicken and naan and atmosphere were great. Lamb shank wasnt tender enough.
Good food. Nice servers. They need to listen more.
My fiancee and I were an hour earlier than our reserved time and they had no problem finding us a table. The music was very soothing, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch. The manager even personally greeted us. Great place!
This restaurant is simply amazing. From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed by their exemplary staff. Our server, Mishkat, went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best dining experience and took great care and interest in any allergies that members of my group had. On top of this the decor is breathtaking - all of this made it feel like we were at a restaurant worthy of 5x the price. Thank you to all the great staff for such a great meal, we will certainly be back!!
I invited some clients tonight for dinner here. We chose the dinner for three. We started with the appetizer sampler which included samosa, onion bhaji, cheese pakora and chicken pakora. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size and we could only eat half the appetizers and packed the rest. The chicken pakora was one of the best I have tasted. Main course was lamb vindaloo, chicken curry, eggplant and aloo gobhi. All the dishes were very well prepared and you could tell that everything was fresh. The lamb especially was superb. Vindaloo dishes have to be cooked slowly to allow the sauce and meat to really blend the spice flavour with that of the meat and I knew that the chef must have really spent some time ensuring the lamb was cooked properly. Warm soft naans and basmati rice rounded out things. The portion sizes are much larger than other Indian restaurants I have been to. We only ate about half of the food and were all full. My friends were very happy to take the leftovers home for another delicious meal tomorrow. The place has a very nice decor and ambiance and friendly staff. I am of Indian heritage and a very picky eater when it come to our cuisine. I usually drive fifty km to Brampton to get authentic Indian food. Nice to know there is such a superb and tasty alternative right in my Neighbourhood. Already looking forward to my next visit. I highly recommend this place for Indian food lovers.
Was an amazing experience Had a great meal there
Tasty food and good service. Spacious and clean. Their butter chicken was one of the best I have had in Toronto. Will def go back.
Food was good. I will deduct 1 star for other things.
Loved the delicious Dahi Wada chat , baigan bharta and the wheat roti. The staff is warm and friendly. Kudos to the talented chef for serving awesome spicy food , just perfect to satisfy my food cravings!
Good food , wine selection could have been wider
Food was absolutely delicious. I took out one star cause they played pop music. I would have prefered some classical Indian music as it would go perfectly with the food and decor.
Not only is the food amazingly delicious, the hospitality of the staff far exceeded my expectations. I went there as a vendor for a wedding they were hosting and I was treated with the same kindness as any guest (which isnt necessarily industry standard). Im so impressed with everyone as well as the food that Ill be returning again and bringing the family. Thank you!!
Outstanding food was selected by our host/server, very accommodating for our young children. Highly recommended.
Previously this would have been a five star. But the last couple times the foods been kind of bland. With so many other Indian restaurants it may be a while before I return.
Food was really tasty and service was great!! Thanks Prasant for wonderful service.
Food was really delicious, the hospitality of the staff was very good. I really like the environment of the restaurant. Awesome place with good prices
Loved the food and atmosphere. One of the best Indian restaurants Ive been to! Our server Miskat was friendly, attentive and made my experience enjoyable!! Overall I highly recommend anyone craving Indian food to come here.
Fantastic service, but I would describe this as Indian food Canadians like to eat. The tandoori platter appetizer for two was the best thing I ate there, great flavours. Butter chicken and korma werent as good, but not bad either.
Very tasty Indian cuisine near downtown
I ve been coming to this location for a few years now; the food is always top notch! Very fresh and quality ingredients and spices however, the customer service sometimes lacks depending on when you come in... My issue is mainly with prices. They never reflect what you see on their menu online, you will always be quoted more than what they show online. Please either update your menu or give the price advertised. I am willing to pay more for good quality food, but I m always being quoted a different price on the phone when I call and it s very annoying.
Fantastic food. Friendly servers. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Great place to bring friends and family.
its gone downhill and now its not the same since it has changed so many times
DELICIOUS food, probably the best food Ive had anywhere. Great service, wide menu selection (try the appetizers!), lovely atmosphere, reasonable pricing. Already craving the food here!
Excellent food and excellent service. Just perfect.
Wonderful and authentic indian food, delish!
Outstanding food at a very fair price. I highly recommend going.
Good food and not expensive
The service is quite slow.
Lovely Indian restaurant! Butter chicken is a family favourite. Great value for weekly lunch specials. Very friendly servers.
Veggie items are tasteless. Asked for Halal food, over the phone. They confirmed, yes we do. When we arrived in restaurant and asked waitress, she said we dont serve. Lost trust. They dont have certificate for Halal too.
Server was friendly and helpful. Based on food it was ok and not above and beyond. What bothered me most was they were unsure that they served halal or not. Other than that the manager or owner was not friendly and does not understand how to initiate customer service. After requesting for additional rice or naan she was perceived as annoyed regarding my request stating the kitchen was closing when we didn t even get a follow up on how we were doing or if we needed anything else. I understand that the location was closing but based on customer experience with a table of 10+ we should be able to eat Comfortably. Small details in a business effects largely on experience. We will definitely not be coming back.
Amazing food and ambience
Tasty food, very attentive service.
Good: 1. The food is amazing. The quantity is also good. The thali deal is a killer, a must try. 2. Decor - simple and clean, makes it look spacious. 3. Staff is active and friendly. Bad: 1. No music at all in the background, being an Indian restaurant u need some music all the time I guess. 2. I felt the location was a bit far from where I lived but again this is more of a personal thought. 3. They charge for sliced onions so thats a big disappointment. Price wise its not too expensive and definitely not cheap. Overall a good restaurant and a must try.
tasty
I Went here a night to enjoy a nice dinner. When I got my order at the table a baby roach dropped off the plate. Very disgusting. So think twice of coming here.
Yummy food and cozy ambiance
Classy delicious food Dinner for couples
A restaurant you must make a stop for if you like Indian food
We went to this place for dinner with some friends. This was on the wish list of one of our friends and was quite highly rated, so we decided to give it a go. This place is located on Bayview Avenue among several other restaurants but was easy to find. It wasnt overly crowded for a Saturday evening. We called in before reaching there and were asked to just walk in. The decor of the place is quite good - as you would expect from a fine dining place. They had a sizable area for their bar, which I felt looked really nice. Surprisingly, there was no music, not even a light instrumental in the background, which seemed odd. In terms of the menu, they had several options, just like any other Indian restaurant. I liked that they had a Dinner for 2,3,4 option, which is a rarity. But they do charge extra prices if it is shared by more than the specified number of people. 3 of us went for the dinner for 3 and 2 others ordered from the al-a-carte menu. Prices were quite reasonable for a fine dining restaurant. In terms of food, the appetizers were not that great. We got the chefs special which was a combinations of a few different things. They were okay at best and one of the onion pakoras was gooey and under cooked inside. The main course was quite good. I really enjoyed the Malai Kofta and the Madras Chicken. My friends also enjoyed their Eggplant Bharta and Palak Paneer. The Butter chicken was good but missed the essential creaminess in it. It had a slice of orange in it, which I didnt understand. The Kashmiri Naan, which is supposed to be sweet, seemed more like a dessert and not to my particular liking The portions were quite good and the 3 of us struggled to finish the dinner for 3. Our waiter did seem insistent on the fact that the dinner for 3 could not be shared, even though the other two were getting food from the menu. A few comments from him when the food was brought out didnt sit well with my friends who thought he was too much up our case. We had a good experience at this place. This is a good place for a fancy dinner without burning a hole in your pocket. There are some areas where they could improve, but overall, I definitely see myself coming back here and bringing more folks along with me.
I wasnt impressed with the food however the ambiance and staff were good. Maybe it was what we ordered but we asked our server for their favorites and everything seemed to taste the same. Id have to say that I dont think well go back anytime soon. There are better places to go. I loved the Tamarind Indian restaurant in Tribeca, New York City.. yummy...upscale fine dining and one of the best Indian Restaurants Ive been to.
Prices are good so is the food and service
