⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent visit to Mehfill left me thoroughly impressed! The ambiance was inviting, creating a delightful atmosphere for a memorable dining experience. We ordered the Chicken Biryani, Shrimp Masala, and a Mango Lassi. The food surpassed my expectations with its delicious flavors and impeccable presentation. However, what truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by our server. She went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction, making our evening truly special. This place is wonderful! Great food, and open late. Our chef’s special lamb curry was rich and succulent. Perfect for the fall, it was a hearty, spicy blend with warm notes of anise and cinnamon. Our saffron rice was equally luxurious with lots of vibrant colour. Unfortunately, the bar was under renovation, but their creative list of house cocktails has definitely piqued my interest, and I am looking forward to sampling it on my next visit.
Order chaat papri - Instead of giving all items separately they prepared it and gave and by the time it reached me everything was all soggy, damaged and thus not edible. Rest all items were good. Loved their methi mirchi lacha paratha! Palak paneer was too much green in color (not sure if they used food color) but it was still tasty but little bland. Amritsari chole and kulche were good. Would have loved if they had added some onions also on the side.
Must say, it’s a place for Indians to visit if he/she misses that kick and hunger for tasty and delicious food. I am way far from my home country and this place made me feel at home. The ambience of this restaurant is a classic contemporary style and gives you a modern vibe during the whole experience. The service personnel was very helpful to me even though i asked hundred questions about the food, they also were ready to adjust the spice levels and also took care for all the dietary restrictions, just to make sure i will get what i came for. The drinks at this place are very well designed to complement the food at its best. Especially the Bombay to Goa which i ordered for my self and the drink called teekha peru which my friend ordered, which were unique and tasty. We were recommended few dishes which were the all time best selling items on the menu, such as paneer lababdaar, dal makhni and chilli paneer. To go with these delicious dishes we ordered their garlic butter naan which was the best tasting naan i have had in Canada. The naan stayed soft during the entire meal which was surprisingly good. We also order the veg biryani which was super tasty. At the end i ordered the fresh gajar halwa and mango lassi which made my day. Overall the staff and the food itself was worth the time. This restaurant has kept the balance of quality and quantity at its peak. I will surely visit this place with my buddies for future dining and recommend it to my Fellow Indians.

I travelled from Winnipeg to this restaurant, which I had heard great things about, with high expectations in order to test their meals. But what happened to us was nothing short of a nightmare. We were shocked to learn that the restaurant offered chicken when we ordered paneer lababdar because we are strict vegetarians. The waiters also showed zero consideration for our dietary restrictions. We gave them another chance, but they still grinned mischievously at our unease. There was a cook who came out to apologize and claimed to be the manager, but his credibility was questionable. It didn't feel like a sincere effort to put things right; rather, it felt like an act. To make matters worse, they made no effort to make up for our bad experience. It was disgusting how unprofessional and disrespectful the personnel was. Although we had heard nothing but positive things about this place, our experience was entirely different. Vegetarians are highly advised to avoid this restaurant, and we will never recommend it to anyone.
I recently visited this restaurant with high hopes, having heard good things about it, and traveled all the way from Winnipeg just to try their food. However, our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite giving them another chance, they continued to smile insincerely at our discomfort. A cook, who claimed to be the manager, came out to apologize, but his role was dubious at best. It felt more like an act than a genuine attempt to make things right. To add insult to injury, they did nothing to compensate for our unpleasant experience. The lack of professionalism and respect from the staff was appalling. We had heard great things about this place, but our experience was the complete opposite. We will never suggest this restaurant to anyone and strongly advise vegetarians to stay away.

I and my 13 years daughter dine in. She had butter chicken I had chicken curry and Nan. Awesome food. Amazing service. The owner of the restaurant came in person and asked if I need anything else. Very clean restaurant. Enough sitting space. Over all it was a great food.
Toronto s best kept secret in the beaches. The food is beyond flavourful!! Excellent veg and non-veg dishes. I can t believe they re not more busy, but surely that have their share of mobile orders. Although some of the dishes are more rich- the spices provide a nice balance for digestion, and truly awaken the senses. I hope they stick around for years to come!!! 10/10 recommend.

They say that it s open till 12 but this is my 3rd time that I visited the store by 11:00 and they have closed the store or have closed the kitchen and etc. I don t know what s wrong with this guys. If you are closing early then change the times.

Welcoming, delightful space with warm, friendly service, but the FLAVOUR is in a class by itself. Had the Dal Makhani and the Vegetable Vindaloo and both were bursting with rich, vivid taste. This is the hidden gem in Toronto, their prices are Reasonable, service is fast and food quality is awsm. I have treid their chana bhtura, kdaahi paneer and garlic naan. it was so tasty. Must try.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered Paneer Lababdaar but received chicken instead. I dont know this restaurant identifies chicken as paneer or what but as a vegetarian, this mistake is inexcusable and ruined my meal. The staff did not handle the situation well, offering no satisfactory resolution. I wont be returning and advise others to be cautious when dining here.
Recently visited this place with my volleyball group to try some good Indian food and man oh man the options that they had for both vegetarian and non vegetarian food was crazy. We order tandoori wings and crispy chilly gobhi for appetizers, and for the first time i enjoyed the vegetarian option more than the meat even tho the wings were a 10/10. So we decided to order more vegetarian food for our main course. We also ordered paneer tikka masala and veg vindaloo along with some garlic naans, it was sooo good i felt like i was in some fancy Mumbai restaurant in India. Would definitely recommend this place to all the people who are craving for some amazing Indian vegetarian options.

Update from a recent experience: It seems the management changed three months ago, and unfortunately, so did the quality of the food. I ordered the pakora platter and tandoori chicken, but they were far from my previous experiences. The chicken was overcooked and dry, and the pakoras were oily and tasteless. The vibes in the restaurant and even the plating have taken a massive hit. Stumbled on this place and what a find! We ordered Mutton biriyani, Tandoori chicken and Rasmalai. All three dishes had us wondering how did we miss such an amazing Indian restaurant all this while here. By far the best tandoori chicken I ve had in GTA! Great portions, lip smacking flavours and perfectly cooked meat. 100% recommend this. Ambience is good and kudos to their lovely service as well.

They should hire more staff. For all reasons. Went there to have starters. They said no for Palak Patta chaat, pav bhaji, chole bhature giving the reasons that these things take time hence we tell diners it s out of stock. Secondly it s a medium sized place and there is only 1 server going around circles so the service is so slow having the menus take 15mins. Our server was literally wearing his apron for which we knew he is leaving his kitchen duties and taking order, multi tasking. This isn t the first time this has happened. We like this place but every time we come here it gets worse. I hope the owner sees this and realizes he needs more people. Renovation se kuch nahi hona, log laao kaam karne..!!

Me and my family visited this restaurant and I must say the experience was great. We ordered multiple starters and everything tasted great as the server recommended. Definitely would recommended the gajar ka halwa as the server told me its made fresh in house. The servers were attentive and made sure we were enjoying. I was here for the weekend in Toronto all the way from London and came here with my friends. We really had a great experience after having some really horrible food at other restaurants that we visited. I do not prefer spicy food so I specifically asked the server to keep the food mild and i guess the chef did an amazing job. The methi mirchi naan and amritsari kulcha was great. Crispy gobi was just like home and the quantity was great compared to the other restaurant. Soujanya was great at service and made sure we enjoyed our experience .

This restaurant is amazing! Came here 1 hr before closing on a whim and asked for a vegan menu. They gave me a regular menu and said the chef can make anything on the menu vegan - the food was DELICIOUS! The service was fantastic, even though we came late, they didn t make us feel rushed and all the food was prepared perfectly. We re back again 2 days later. Keep up the great food and service! Gem.
This is the second time in weeks that we have ordered takeout from Mehfill, with the most recent order being last night. Both times, the food was excellent. Every dish was full of flavour dishes ordered thus far: onion bhajji, lamb bhuna, chicken korma, aloo gobi, chicken curry, garlic naan and rice. EVERYTHING is really good. This restaurant changed hands in the last several months and the new management (lovely young couple) are doing a great job. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the portion size, quantity of protein and veggie dishes are filled to the brim of the takeout containers. They are definitely NOT skimping on giving you your money s worth or taste. We also asked for some customization (for example extra garlic on the naan) and they were happy to accommodate the request. We will be back to try other dishes. It s really nice to be able to support a local restaurant in the beach with quality food and really talented owners. Our compliments to the new owners Jyoti and Prakash (owner and chef). Welcome to the neighbourhood and keep up the great work!
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Tandoori Chicken, Eggplant Patiala - Another one of my favourites in Indian cuisine, a good tandoori chicken is something I tend to think about when Im lonely. Marinated in a yoghurt sauce thats creamy and tangy, it takes on a beautifully smoky char while retaining a juicy, tender texture on the inside. Also trying something new, their eggplant Patiala is an option for vegetarians as eggplant, tomatoes and potatoes are cooked in a complex mix of aromatic Indian spices.

Took my friends today here for a lunch party and it was just amazing. The food, the presentation, the flavours, the service and the warmth all together were just perfect!!! My friends were from Mexico, Philippines and Mauritius and everybody loved our Indian flavours.
Great place to have chole bhature in town. Most places around have just blant chole but here they add whole spices and you can taste it even bhaturas are decent size and fluffed. Also Amritsari kulcha is very good to try. In-house service is okay but delivery is slow.
Hands down the best Indian restaurant near me! Mehfills Manchurian had the perfect blend of spices, and the Garlic Naan was heavenly. The servers were attentive, and the owners made us feel like honored guests. A must-visit!

We and another couple just had a great meal together. We shared 8 dishes plus rices and naan and thought they were all nicely done. In particular the Tandoori chicken was amazing. Service was attentive and the meal was served in a timely fashion. Our waiter was Taren and we learned that the location has just changed hands and the new chef had prepared the meal, his name Iresh. Well done to the new chef and team!

Today I visited this restaurant and had a horrible experience. The washroom was not maintained properly and it was dirty and stinky there. The dustbin in the washroom was overfilled with dirty napkins and I cannot explain the condition of toilet seat. I should not say this but the server there was also having bad odour. As a brand, You should be keep all this maintained and proper. Who will eat your food?
1. Half of their menu is out of stock in Friday night. 2 . Curry is okaishhh but butter chicken was too sweet . 3. Naan was really fresh and good. 4. Drinks - zero stars, none in stock 5. Initially, looking at the ratings and recent comments, I thought there must be something extraordinary in this restaurant, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. At best, the food was mediocre. It was edible, but I didn t enjoy it. Christmas night dinner didn t go as I had envisioned. We ordered roti kulcha, Dahi Bhalla chat, rice, some mushroom and a paneer gravy item. I didn t like the taste of any of the food there - I was not feeling good while eating them, it s just that there was no freshness in them. Perhaps, they cooked it in the afternoon itself considering the Christmas rush, who knows! So, I stopped in the middle of dinner, and the rest of the night went a bit heavy with an upset stomach. Though the staff was courteous, service was a bit slow, but it was understandable given it s Christmas night anyway, and online orders must be overflowing, as I noticed from the presence of never-ending queue of delivery guys. Nonetheless, I m disappointed with the quality of food that was there. There was nothing extraordinary I found here.

My dining experience at the Indian restaurant served by Taran was delightful. Tarans attentiveness and knowledge of the menu enhanced my evening. The dishes were flavorful, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant, thanks in large part to Tarans excellent service.

I love Indian food, espcially butter chicken. I ordered butter chicken dinner last night and got 3 cubes of chicken and less that half cup of rice. 3 CUBES of chicken which is less than half chicken breast. They charged me over 20.00 for that. Never again. Food prices up but cmon. Such a disappointment. I live in Beaches and I will order from some where else via uber eats rather than Mehfill
Too spicy. We ordered several dishes, all labelled as Mild. Half of them were too spicy to eat. Usually I enjoy dishes up to Medium spiciness, but apparently here I cannot even handle mild. Sorry but wont be ordering here again - my family wont let me since they cannot even eat what we ordered.

Four of us ordered a variety of dishes and just loved the quality and taste of the food. It was absolutely delicious, spicy but not fiery. We got take out, but the restaurant itself is elegant and clean, and we plan to return and eat there.portion size was great, and the prices are very reasonable. Overall, it was terrific and we will definitely return soon.
Not recommended. I have never waited longer for food in my life than this place. The wait time from placing an order to the food arriving was over 45 minutes, easy to confirm since we were checking on our remaining parking time. We got an update midway through that it would be just 5 more minutes but it was over 20 minutes from that point. I can t help but think our order was diverted fulfill takeout orders. Speaking of which, with the way the restaurant is designed you have 4 to 5 people waiting around in the middle of the restaurant for their takeout order which makes for poor ambience. They messed up one of the four main dishes bringing an incorrect item, bizarre since you say the number of the item and I had them repeat the order back. The food was ultimately mediocre, not great, not terrible.
There were four of us, so we had the opportunity to share 4 entrees. I would have preferred to see more protein chunks in all of the dishes as they barely made it around. The curried fish was especially light in fish with only enough for 3 of us. The service was very friendly and the food was tasty and because of that, we would return.
We were impressed with our dinner at this restaurant. We had some amazing food, but the Channa Bhatura and the Gulab Jamun were our favourites! Our server, Tarun was very sweet and helpful. Me and my friends had an amazing time! Will definitely be coming back!

I visited the place looking at the reviews and stars but for a 2 month old establishment i now understand how those reviews and stars are gathered. The food at Mehfill is really good! They serve authentic Indian dishes. You should definitely try the Malai Chaap. Also, I want to compliment one of their servers, Taran; she was very polite and recommended some great side dishes for our order.
