Its finished with a dollop of creamy coriander chutney, mayo and hot sauce to your liking. Got the Tandoori Momos.

Food is exceptional! Will be my top suggestion for anyone that wants an Indian meal. Atmosphere is calming and perfect for sitting, talking and eating fabulous food. Will certainly bring my friends here!

I am so happy that I took a chance on this little known treasure on the Danforth! There are so many beautiful facets of this restaurant that deserve to be amplified. The restaurant is only a 3 4 minute walk from Chester station, making it a super convenient location. The walls are adorned with uniquely framed posters of lovely images which are backlit from within. I can just imagine the incredible ambiance that would be created at night. I appreciated the extensive selection of appetizing menu items, that also include some vegan options. Our server, Melina, could not have been more gracious, helpful and attentive. She managed to find so many little ways in which to enhance our dining pleasure and experience. We tried several dishes that included: Mango Salad, Veg Chow Mein, Tandoori Chicken Wings, Chicken Karahi, Bhindi Masala and Chicken Biriyani. Everything made our taste buds sing and the care with which the food was prepared and presented, was almost palpable. The portions were generous and made for incredibly tasty leftovers to enjoy the next day. The Mango Lassi was perfection, with just the right balance in all ways. The Kheer was very refreshing and had the perfect level of sweetness as well. My family and I enjoyed an incredibly satisfying meal and stellar service. We were quite eager to share this delightful new discovery with others. It feels really good to support family-run businesses who put their heart and soul into all they do, and deliver with exceptional results. Also, if your timing is right, you might manage to catch a glimpse of who the restaurant is named after. You might just be surprised!

If you are Momo lover, this could be the place to be! Just wow Soft, juicy and bursting with flavour. The dipping sauce is just perfection. The creamy butter chicken and curry items are packed with authentic flavours. Better spot to go for Indian foods.

First time trying tonight, walked by and got takeout. Chicken chow mein and jool momos - both really tasty and very freshly made! Exactly what I wanted for a Hakka chow mein - best one I ve had in years. Takeout was quick and 15% discount was a nice surprise. I ll definitely go back and try more items, but for sure will be ordering the chow mein and momos again.

My husband and I just moved to the neighbourhood and this is our new favourite place! We have ordered take out twice, with a large variety of dishes and happy with absolutely everything. Also the service is incredible. After being just once, weeks prior, they remembered my husband, spent the time going through the dishes and making recommendations. The obviously have real pride and passion in their food, and it really shows. Our favourite dishes so far have included the Madras curry, Palak Paneer, andTandoori Chicken Momo. But honestly we would reorder everything weve tried. Thanks so much for being such a great neighbourhood staple!

After our favourite neighbourhood Indian restaurant closed up shop, we had been desperately seeking another option that measures up to the quality we came to love. Thankfully, we eventually discovered Menali. Weve ordered take-out from them a number of times, and have been beyond impressed and satisfied on every occasion. Recently, we opted to use their catering services for a small celebration event we were hosting. Not only was the Menali team attentive and accommodating to our needs in the planning process, the food was so impressive - all of our guests were raving about the food throughout the night. 5/5, would recommend, and were looking forward to experiencing this family-run gem in-person sooner than later!

I have been enjoying Menali for a few months and visit frequently with friends. It is a family-owned small business which we love to support. The food is delicious with a huge menu, the servings are large and the hospitality is outstanding. One day I ordered a take-out which I wanted to pick up at a certain time, only to learn it was too early for the chef to have the food prepared. He came in early to prepare the food and he had it ready on time. And, as usual, it was delicious. BTW They are able to adjust the spices to suit individual palates. Food here is amazing! The server made some good suggestions - got the chicken chow mein and chili momos and the combo was so delicious. The tandoori chicken wings have a tasty marinade on it, and not dry at all. Really recommend to visit this gem.

I ordered veg Manchuria, Butter chicken, Butter roti, and Tanduri momos. I tried momos very first time and not felt better taste. But the other 3 items are wonderful, especially Butter chicken and Manchuria are very tasty. If I get another visit, I would definately try this restaurant one more time.

Food is fantastic. We came here today to have a lunch and got two starters and two main dishes. Food was so fresh, lovely and tasted so good - one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Also the service is over the top.

Everything was delicious. The veggie chow mein noodles were great. Momos were herby, and paired sauces were perfect. My favourite was the samosa chaat. I will definitely go again. Also, I appreciate that they were open to me bringing my own containers from home for packaging the food.

From the very first bite, the food was a revelation, with flavors so authentic they transported me to the streets of India and Nepal. The ambience was just perfect cozy and inviting, making me feel right at home. And the service? Absolutely top-notch! Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of amazing. If youre craving delicious Indian and Nepali cuisine served with a side of warmth and hospitality, this place is an absolute must-visit.

Menali was very good experience. The food was awesome. Jhol momo and hakka noddle had authentic taste to it. The tandoori momo was so beautiful to look at. We also tried saag goat and it was new experience but it was also super good. Goat was perfectly balanced with green leaves. It would perfectly pair with rice/naan/roti etc. We tried kheer for dessert and it was perfectly done. 10 for the tasty food.

Had 3 types of momos and a lamb curry for lunch. Everything was spot on. New favourite spot for both Tibetan and Indian fare.

Absolutely delicious. We tried so many items and they are all so good. The momos were so juicy and delicious. We had the tandoori momos, fried momos, jhol momos(these were especially great). we also had the shrimp chowmein. The chili fries were so flavorful we had to order them twice. We also tried the rooh afza drink. It was so beautiful but equally delicious. The service was also great. Our server Melina was so knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a great family run restaurant!

One of the most authentic indian food experiences I have had. The food is quite economical plus they do complete justice to flavour profiles of each place. The service is on point. The servers make you feel welcome and the ambience is great as well. Must try if you are looking for good indian and nepali food in east york area.

The food is delicious, quantities are perfect, service is friendly, and prices are reasonable. We had the onion bhaji, paneer tikka (tandori), lamb roganjosh, rice, and paratha. Everything was on point. Now we have to return for momos! Menali is a lovely family-run business that makes everything from scratch and deserves to succeed. We felt welcomed and nourished.

The menu is large and if youre in the mood for Nepali momos, Indian dishes or even Hakka dishes, this place is for you! The food was fantastic. We had two types of momos - Jool and Tandoori. The sauce for the Jool momos was perfect. The tandoori momo was next level! Texture, heat, filling and taste was perfect. Simply perfect. We also got the lamb biriyani (with legit good raita) and the chili prawns. The biriyani had a good meat to rice ratio, was flavourful and still great the next day. (We often eat with our eyes and not our stomachs...) The chili prawns had a perfect amount of vegetables and a wonderful sauce. If youve made it this far in my long review, thank you :) You shouldn t sleep on Menali Restaurant, on the Danforth. You wont be disappointed and honestly, we cant wait for our next visit!

So happy to have a restaurant on Danforth with great Indian, Nepali, and Hakka food! Ordered samosas, Chana masala, and the Hakka fried rice. If you ve never tried chili chicken or Hakka flavours in general, definitely give them a try this is a great spot for them! My family loved it.

Excellent Nepali food, freshly made and high quality. The menu had some unique dishes we haven t seen at other restaurants and they didn t shy away from the spices. Their Momo s had a thin wrapper with just enough bite and the filling was juicy. Portion size was excellent. Attentive and friendly service in a warm space.

I would say the best restaurant for hakka food, when you taste the food you can easily understand that it is fresh and not stored, all the flavours hit instantly you eat something and also the atmosphere is simply awesome with nice romantic music playing in the background, dimmed lights with some Nepali pictures around. You can have a splendid evening with mouth watering food. The staff are very humble and polite. I would give 100/100 to this place I had veg manchurian which is the best in Toronto and tandoori veg momos were feast to eyes (garnishing and colour contrast were great)

A very pleasant experience. Although we did take out, the restaurant had a great ambiance and was very clean. The Momos were delicious. The portions were great, and the sauces were flavourful. I love the options. This restaurant provided Indian, Nepalese, and Hakka cuisine. Will come back for the Hakka and Indian food next time. If you pre-order a pick up/delivery order from their website, your order gets a 15% discount. The restaurant had lunchtime combo deals, which we found out only after we ordered online. I went to this restaurant with my friends. We never knew about this place before. The place is literally amazing with excellent interior. On top of everything, host was really polite, welcoming, genuine and smiling. She took care of us for the entire time and made us comfortable. Also, coming to the food part, we ordered tandoori momo, veg munchurian and veg biryani. Everything was super delicious. We finished everything on few minutes. The most notable thing was how carefully prepared all the food was...made with love not just churned out of a kitchen. Its a small family restaurant with a mix of familiar Indian dishes and (to me) less familiar Nepalese ones. All very good. And great service too. Vegetarian options: Lots of good vegetarian dishes.

The food here is so good! My friend and I had lunch here today and they have a lunch special, about $15 bucks for a chicken curry of your choice + rice + naan! We also sampled their fried momos. You gotta try them. Delicious! Plus, the restaurant owner s mom makes them. I thought the curry was really tasty and flavourful but the momos might have been the gem. Best Indian restaurant on Danforth for my taste.

So happy that we decided to go there! We had the traditional curry with lamb, jasmine rice and garlic naan. Everything was so well made, so soft and delicious. The naan is so good that you can t just stop eating. Amazing! I ll come back for sure! Vegetarian options: I didn t order a vegetarian option, but I saw that they have a part just for that. And it s not small.

The restaurant environment was so clean with beautiful nepali art on the wall. The service was so nice, the staff were friendly and gave us recommendations to try their tandoori momos. The momos were so flavourful and the garlic naan was nice and fluffy and went so well with the soup momos we ordered. They even gave us complimentary gulag jamun! We were really full, the portion sizes were great! Just overall a great experience, will highly recommend for a family/friend dine out occasion!

This was our second time visiting Menali, and we ll definitely be back. The Jool Momo are fantastic, really everything we ve had is great and the whole team is so nice and friendly a great new addition to the Danforth.

Friendly service! Big menu with a variety of dishes (momos, hakka, and indian). Dishes were well made and flavourful. Will be happy to go back and try more of their dishes. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options to choose from.

We went to this restaurant on Family Day. It was an amazing experience. The decor, the food and the service was outstanding. We loved every single food we ordered. We will definitely go to this restaurant again.

It was my first time trying Nepalese cuisine. We ordered the momos which came in chicken and vegetable dumpling options. The portion was big and it tasted very delicious. We also got the goat vindaloo with garlic naan and roti; the meat was very tender and it easily fell off the bones. We also had the rice pudding and carrot pudding as dessert. It was a lovely experience and we will come back again!

Happy to have this in Greektown. The food is delicious and comes out nice and hot. The service is very friendly and great at making suggestions. We had the tandoori momos and I would recommend trying them. The saag paneer, a personal favourite Indian dish, was also great.

Enjoyed some great food at this new location today! Their mango salad and Hariyali momos were my favourite! We also got chilli momos and tandoori ones, and those were a close second

One of the best place to hang out. This store is spacious as well as quality food served with good taste. Personally I enjoyed both the taste of tandoori momo and steam momo. Also I tried out some Indian dishes as well which too were outstanding.

Great flavours, generous portions, makes for good leftovers the next day. Will be our go to place for Indian food from now on!

Today I went here, if you miss Indian style momos then please give it a try for sure. We had nepali style momos, lamb curry, naan , tandoori momos & gajar ka halwa. Everything tasted so delicious ! Overall Loved the experience

Strong flavours and tasty food, extensive and varied menu, exceptional service, and reasonable prices. Menali is a great addition to the neighborhood and a definite hit. Stopped by for lunch and tried a whole bunch of stuff: - Papadam: Crispy and crunchy, served with a tarty dipping sauce. - Samosa Chaat: A medley of different things, with the crumbled samosa, chickpea, and tangy chutney being my favourite parts. - Chili Prawn: Good sized prawns in a supercharged spicy-sweet sauce. - Shrimp Dopiaza: Yes there was shrimp, but the thick curry-like sauce was the star. Amazing to dip the butter naan (which was fluffy and fresh) in. - Gajar Ka Halwa: Carrot pudding that was delightfully not-too-sweet. - Kheer: Creamy and cool dessert, a nice contrast to the rest of the meal. Its a family-run business and it shows with how attentive they are with the service. The chef/owner even stopped by our table to check how things were, and they were very attentive of my wifes needs since she cant take a lot of spice. We will definitely be back because of all the other things on the menu we still want to try, and because of the very welcoming atmosphere of this place. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options as part of their Nepali and Indian cuisine offerings.

Despite being takeout, the flavors were as fresh as dining in. Portion sizes were generous, providing great value for money.

This place has amazing indo-nepalese food. I tried the hakka noodles, they were very flavourful. The tomato soup was also creamy and delicious. The serving portions are also very generous. Edit: I went in again today (17th Jan 2024) and tried their Paneer Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. The paneer had a really delicious and smoky flavour from the tandoor oven, and the gravy was loaded with nice aromatic spices as well. The gravy also had very less oil, hence it goes easy on the stomach. The naan was also large and very delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out, the staff is very courteous as well!

Delicious food, great service and love the ambiance. We ordered Chili Shrimp , Chicken Noodles, Tandoori momos . The food was soo good. We really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly. accommodating and kind enough to answer our questions regarding preparation of the food. Serving size per order is a lot. honestly the food in this place is just so unbelievable. Highly recommend!

The experience was too good. I ordered Chicken Jool momo and Chicken briyani. The briyani was good but momo was super good. One of the best Jool momo in area.

Super friendly owners backed up with awesome food. We ordered the Chicken chow mein, Butter chicken, Bhindi masala and they were all excellent. The chow mein was especially tasty and spicy which I enjoyed. I cant wait to go back and try their Roti and Momos. If your standing outside the restaurant reading this review and wondering if you should eat here, you should!

Amazing place, very good food, and amazing staff.

I went there with my friends, tried the chicken MoMos, Vegetable MoMos, Fried MoMos, and chicken biryani. The food was very appetizing, staff were very kind, the inside of the restaurant was beautiful & very inviting! I d give this place an 11/10. I definitely recommend a visit to Menali restaurant. Parking: Lots of spots to park in the area. Main road, parking lot, inside-street, lots of accessibility!
