I ordered tandoori paneer burger and noodle burger from this store for the take out.i waited there for almost 30 minutes for two items that i can understand sometimes the circumstances are different. This place is near to my home and i was excited to try the burger for the first time at this place i can say that i am pretty disappointed by the taste of the burgers.i opened the burger and it was not hot enough even though this place is barely 5 minutes away from my home. The patty inside the burger was literally soaked in the oil.My mouth taste literally oil🤮.the noodles they used for the noodle burger seems like they had boiled maggi and put it the burger.it was pretty blanc and tasteless.even though in the tandoori paneer burger the paneer doesnot taste like paneer it was something else.each burger cost about 9 bucks and i was not satisfied at all. I have been to different restaurants and i tried the authentic noodle burger and tandoori paneer burger it was just something else🤮 Zero quality for the food👎🏻
Amazing food- must try katori chat, Bombay sandwich and their falooda. They do live pani puri as well.
Never returning customer warning other future customers. Being born in India I'm familiar with the cuisine and being a citizen of Canada for over half my life I will warn all non Indians looking for a good place to try Indian cuisine. Please don't let this place ruin your experience. This is your typical everything must be super spicy because that's what everyone expects of Indian food kind of approach. Definitely not fast food and most definitely not authentic Indian more like someone who sees Indian food as spicier the better, it's like gling to a specialty burger restaurant and all they can offer to serve is well done burgers. Please do better!
EDIT** Responding to owners response- Ive come back multiple times to your location and have been helped by the same person who always is too laid back, How is me asking for NO RED CHUTNEY means removing everything else? She actually said its only potatoes and onions on it and I had the interaction recorded on my phone as i had similar interaction with her prior to this. It’s also amazing that you are certain that we have not reviewed your place 5 star before, i love that you could say that with all certainty, and to answer that we actually did give you guys 5 star reviews twice in multiple accounts. TRACE BACK ON YOUR REVIEWS FROM 4 years ago and you would see it. I have shared what i have experienced in my last visit with actual proof and photos of how it was, there’s clearly work to be done on your end. Maybe put your energy there instead of being upset that i put a review about it. Photos taken 09/25/23 at 6:00pm This place used to be so good, i feel bad for the nice owners because their employees dont seem to care. Waited 15 mins staring at such a dirty sandwich assembly area. See photo. I ordered samosa chaat, the lady that helped me didnt seem to put much thought on the food, I had to ask for the toppings samosa chaat usually comes with (sev) and she insisted it was only the onions and sauces, I told her i come here all the time and all of a sudden she said yes i was gonna put that then ran towards the back to get it. Seems like she didn't want to work and just wanted to rush it off. All that chaos, only to realize when i get home that the samosas in my chaat were UNCOOKED AND COLD. Looked crispy on the outside but completely cold and whole inside. We just lost our appetite. This place used to be our go to for indian quick eats but it seems like our visits get worse and worse each time we come. Photo posted of the uncooked samosas we were served.
I’m at mumbai express right now. I have mumbai grilled vada pav, grilled samosa pav, and pav bhaji combo. I would say food is not tasty at all. I would also ask them to focus on table cleaning. Here they have 4 table of 4 seats each. I was finding a clean table for dine in. Later asked an employee to clean one table for us. FOOD WAS NOT GOOD AT TASTE AT ALL. Disappointed, after wasting my money in such a bad overall quality restaurant.
We ordered one masala pav and 1 bombay toast. Masala pav wasn’t good at all, basically its consists with one bread with lots of masala gravy on it. So i will recommend to try other pav which will be served separately. Bombay toast was average on taste. You will find lots of others veg snacks options available. Overall not a good experience for me.
Ordered food from skip the dishes.. Pav bhaji, pav bread seems expired and worst taste ever. And oily pulao in the combo I ordered. Worst experience I ever had. Sandwiches are fine taste but not worth of 10$. I will never recommend this place for healthy food.
I tried samosa chaat, papri chaat , veg pakora and vada pav. Loved all the items spicy and yummy like any other street food. Better than many other places. And cheap compared to othere places prices were average not too high.
must try their Chinese bhel
The only complant I have is the chai that I ordered was great but the coffee lid was not a good one as it was spilling, so my advice is get bigger cups with dome lids
Yummy food at affordable rates
Very good food. Especially dahi poori. The owner is so so friendly. They are all very helpful. I really love the ambiance as well.
Waste of time Waiting time too long Food
The tandoori pizza , masala chai and the vada pav i ordered were absolutely stunning. Love the food and also the very warm welcoming staff there. 10/10
If you are looking for good Mumbai style chat then here is the place! We tried masala pav which was flavourful, and tried paneer sandwich that was fantastic. Definitely recommend!!!
Had amazing food here. We had pani poori, vada PAV and sandwiches. Loved the food.
Always go here for breakfast. Enjoyed a lot
Tasteless pav bhaji, pulav and raita
A heart warming desi style takeout.
Love the plce! Chandini is attentive and such a good server! Loved the food! Will come back!
Great experience at Mumbai express! Delicious food authentic Mumbai chaat and great service- thanks Chandni! Must visit if you re in the area Food
Ordered takeout of bhel puri and samosa chaat. No positives. Negatives 1. Low portions but higher price compared to P@nchvati fast food. 2. Bhel puri, one of the worst - better to buy Haldiram packet and make it. 3. Samosa chole chaat, not prepared in front, seemed not freshly prepared. Drive 5 kms, you will find couple of better places.
I had wada pav and kobi parantha with choley the wada pav was superb the taste of wada and thechwa reminds me the taste of golden wada pav from lonavala just a suggestion to use soft buns
Good taste and variety food
I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to your establishment. The food quality was subpar and the cleanliness of the store left much to be desired. To make matters worse, when we requested soft drinks, we discovered they were expired. This experience was very disappointing, and I hope you take immediate steps and improve it.
Only samosa chaat was good other food are not good like the taste was bad
We were excited to see this place ordered pani puri sorry to say there was plan boiled yellow peas and the water was horrible then tried vada pav tasteless and soo small for the price not only that the pani puri set outside and the waiting was long waste of time and money . It is only those who have not known the taste of these things will say it is good.
I ve ordered tandoori paneer Frankie. Well the name has paneer in it but the food contains barely any paneer which was disappointing. It was just smashed potato with 2-3 small chunks of plain paneer in it. Wasn t satisfied with the food, felt like it was just a smashed potato roll which was 9$.
Service is too late
Take day off if u going over there
Customer service is very bad
Fan of Masala Tea and Samosa
Ordered a pickup from loacation and come all the way back from home to get what was missing and all the lady said , I am sorry and that you should have told me to about it , like what isn t it your duty while on work to check the order packing correctly, and i get i should have checked too, but really feels like they should teach some more customer oriented service to their employees.
The food i ordered is totally frozen and when i reached out to them they didn t agreed to accept the mistake. Much frustrating
Amazing food and very pleasant service. Loved the authentic taste!
We ordered grilled vada pav and the lady working over there gave us simple vada pav and when we asked her about our issue she replied that this is how we made it..I don t understand how come grilled and simple both vada pav is same
Its a good place to enjoy the basic street food of Mumbai with a nice atmosphere and decor.
We order Samosa chat but it was just samosa without any chatni or yogurt. So we just paid $8 for 2pc samosa. Try to avoid going here.
I ordered delivery. The samosa pav was great. Their samosas are always great . But dabeli, bread pakoda and vada pav were not upto the mark. I ordered through uber eats and the packaging was open inside the bag. (not sure whose fault it was) but we threw away most of our order as it did not taste good except for samosa pav. Extremely disappointed.
Went there on a Monday. Probably, that was a mistake or just our bad luck. The food didnt feel and taste fresh. People are friendly. Decent ambience and acceptable pricing.
This quaint establishment is a no frills, authentic Indian Street Food restaurant. The ladies behind the counter and in the kitchen are polite, knowledgeable and gracious. The food is as real and tasty as I have ever had. The samosas are perfectly seasoned and fresh to order every time I visit. The vada pav is perfectly assembled and very satisfying. The prices cannot be beat. I recommend highly visiting Mumbai Express. Great job ladies!
The most affordable and tasty food in Toronto. You will love it Food
Fantastic
This fast-food joint has become my ultimate go-to spot for delicious samosas and flavorful chutney. Not only do they offer market-competitive prices, but their samosas are consistently fresh and served piping hot, hitting the spot every time. The exceptional customer service, combined with their commitment to maintaining good hygiene standards, adds to the overall positive experience. Without a doubt, its the perfect place for a quick and satisfying snack!
Must try the Tawa pulao, Bhel puri and Misal pav and Pani puri The wait time wasnt too long and the person serving us was friendly and approachable. Will definitely visit again
Decent place for vegetarian food
I went for samosas and they asked for extra just for chutney which is not served with the samosas
Frankie is very filling dish, they make it so differently but very nice
Food is decent here but what is more important is that the customer service is very good. Its a family run restaurant and they treat everyone like family. With the current inflation its so dufficuilt for small businesses to flourish. However Mumbai express still does a good job to keep the prices at competitive levels. Wishing you good luck.
Frankie is very filling dish, they make it so differently but very nice.
Paratha size is huge for the price and is decent in taste.
Aloo Tikki with Chole is sooo filling and I loved it.
Saw their LED sign for 3 samosas for 1 dollar and we stopped. Got a few of them. Very delicious and not too spicy for me! Small location with lots of parking spots right at the intersection
We had catering for 15 of us and they packed very nicely and quantity was also enough.
Friendly service, plenty parking spots in the plaza, amazing vada pav.
Their Masala Chai and Bombay Sandwich is my weekend breakfast:)
This place will give you a feeling of being in your own Indian hometown having local fast food. Food is good, not too spicy but there is always a customization to your order.
Food is Ok, a little spicy, you will have to order samosas and wait for them to be fried. The serving size of chaats is too small, and the taste is not bad. Can try for a quick bite.
One of the good chaat places. Very delicious and as authentic. I love their menu and try something new every time.
I was recommended by a colleague to try their Vada Pav at this place. Considering ongoing super-inflation, they offer so many Bombay street food at wallet friendly prices. I will be trying more of their dishes.
We as family love this place. Staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommended
I was here for the first time and ask cashier for there most selling Meal and she recommended pav bhaji combo it was pretty tasty and good quantity for one person. I will surely come back in future for another meal to try.
I liked the portion size of Dahi Batata Poori for what was paid for it. They have a good blend of Chutneys and yogurt.
Club sandwich was ordered and we got the small regular bread sandwich. Not worth the money considering the quality.
I just had a pani puri at the location , it is very worst , the water has only paste the consistency is not good .. and also the vadapav stuffing is not that much good . I would kindly urge please dnt serve the expire food.
Food taste was good.. But allo parantha stuffing is not good.. And thickness of parantha is very thin
First time customer and very happy with my ordered. I was not 100% sure as to what order so i went with the masala vada pav and 1 dabeli and i was so surprise. Both items were amazing. Loved the crunch of peanuts in the dabeli and tangy sauce. And the vada pav was a but spicy for me but i still loved it. Will definitely come back and try other items but these two i will be ordering again.
Food and service both are okay.
Use to love this place for the samosa chaat not anymore bad quality. Portion is smaller. Ruined my day
Really bad experience
One of the best restaurant to try Indian street food Staff was really freindly and welcoming I wanna thanks to helly for delicious vda pav
Amazing experience here. Great food, wow prices and very good food quantity. We had sev poori for less than $8, dabeli and vada pav for $3, momos for $8 and kulfi for $2.
We visited here this afternoon and it was a great experience. Restaurant was very clean and bombay masala toast sandwich was delicious. Panipuri was tangy and we liked samosa chat also.
I have tried their Pav Bhaji & Dabeli at another location, but recently had Pizza and Momos, they were amazing. Momos can easily be shared between 2 people and the flavor is spot on:)
just ordered sev puri n for $8 i got the dish quarter full. absolutely disgusting. it took them 15 mins to put 4 sev puris n some masala. day light stealing.
Very kind and accommodating staff. Proper mumbai local environment. Had the grill cheese sandwich watching the WTC final. Couldn t get better than that.
Loved the taste of the food!
The best street food place in the area without a doubt. Love the mango lassi & we had almost all the chaats & they were really yummy. The Ragda Pani Puri really stands out for me.
Food is good and the lady in the front dust is very nice and respectful, samosa price is very cheap, but very good quality, the dough is crispy and the filling is simple potatoes and peas with right amount of seasoning, not too oily so you can eat maybe a dozen at a time lol.
Not worth going !!! Food has no taste and I doubt about freshness And it s Saturday evening; won t recommend to anyone. Found plastic piece inside the food (vada pao) i have shared that with stuff and it was taken inside before taking a picture and i was offered another fresh one which i denied the table was dirty and after cleaning it there was a bad smell. I will appreciate if owner try to improve the quality of food and atmosphere
Owner is really lovely, recommended the veggie Frankie. Loved it, how crispy it was and how it was prepared. So good, will def be back.
Not good quality of food I suggest to everyone, don t go here for indian fast food. Waste of money Food
not picked the phone. careless people.
Loved the pani puri
Really liked the Vada Pav. But dabeli is ok it s not fresh. Inside is good you can seat and eat food. They should be little bit focus on food because my other friend told me they have same experience but overall not bad .
Worst food till date!! Bhel and vada pav both were extremely bad. Dont even bother to try.
Bombay Masala Toast was so nice and Mango lassi was great.
They have a cute interior and loved the frames from Mumbai.
Nice Indian/Bollywood influence and cultural pics on their walls. It s a good place to be with friends and family.
Chaats and sandwiches were yummy and very good service too.
The food was amazing and service was also good. I ordered dabeli and it was delicious.
We order multiple things, we had to wait for a bit long time but the food was good. Worth for the wait.
The food was good.
There are lots of good food option In this area.
Im delighted to share my review of Mumbai Express Samosa! The samosas from Mumbai Express are truly a treat for the taste buds. Crispy on the outside and perfectly spiced on the inside, these samosas are a burst of authentic Indian flavors. Whether youre craving a classic potato filling or exploring their innovative variations, the quality and taste are consistently impressive. The flakiness of the pastry and the balance of spices make every bite an enjoyable experience. Mumbai Express Samosa has certainly mastered the art of creating a delightful snack that brings the essence of Mumbais street food right to your plate.
Hi we have eat samosa here and it is so good and the services is very good. I am really delight to express my view. It is so mouth watering and other items also very good and I love the ambiance
This is the second time we bought vada pav and burgers and both breads were stale not fresh at all , so the owner should you take care of the things so that customer can get what they pay for .
The taste of smaosa and veg grilled sandwich is too scrumptious and finger licking I also recommend to other people to visit there.
I really like the food, service and atmosphere. The food is budget friendly and really delicious. I personally like samosa, pav bhaji and pizza. The atmosphere and staff is also good Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian options and really mouth watering. All the foods are really good and delicious Parking: Parking space is enough Kid-friendliness: The embiance is good here. Wheelchair accessibility: It s better for the wheel chair
Food was made from the day prior. I can taste the dust
I order pav bhaji combo, bhaji had some funny smell, I believe the canned tomato puree they were using was old. The pulav had too much garam masala. When I asked them to replace, they said they cannot do it as the food will go waste. It was anyway not edibleand we had to throw it.
Worst food ever I had in Canada. I ordered Grilled Vadapav and there was cabbage filling inside it instead of potato filling. And I ordered Gobi Paratha but there was no Gobi filling in it. So unsatisfied. Never recommend anyone not even to try.
Worst franky I ever had, it s full of green chutny no taste.
Wi went in there for the first time very nice customer service , also you get more food for your money very tasty . I will surely be going back there.
Not too bad but they need to UP their cleanliness of the place. Wait times could be shortened. Place could use a face-lift. For the price though, I cant complain.
Good food inexpensive prices The place is now redone
I tried Samosa chaat, vada pav and pav bhaji. My favourite was samosa chaat its the best and being a Mumbaikar myself this is worth it!!!!
We ordered Cheese frankie, paneer frankie and schezwan frankie and all 3 were amazing. If you are craving tangy, spicy, lip smacking food, definitely visit once. Vegetarian options: Many options available
Vegetarian options: None at this time! Food
Tasty food
Its good
Vadapav was fresh and tasty
worst masala tea too much ginger
Vegetarian options: Purely veg options only Food
Reasable price , good food !
1st time here and was delightfully impressed with their quality. Good food and good portion sizes. Would recommend
So we happened to randomly visit this cute restaurant! I must say the Vada Pav was to die for! I appreciate the taste and authenticity these people maintain! Definitely a must try!
Very bad experience,we waited for almost 1hr and got pizza which is filled with only sauce and not baked, and not even cut into pieces,we wasted all our time and the girl is not even sorry and no proper response, she left the money on counter and just left back again, very disappointed and I don t recommend this place
best veg roll
Good food good price must try
I have ordered from skip more than twice they never disappoints a little bit spicy food but really yummy. And packaging was great. I would like to dine in there
Good Food with options - Mumbai style. Enjoyed it and recommend it as well.
Tried the schezewan Frankie here and absolutely loved it. One more dish that I like from this franchise is the spring rolls but unfortunately they arent available at all of their franchise which is kind of a let down. However, speaking purely on taste, loved it.
Di not go here I went to a business close by
Not recommended at all ,worst food , rude staff
Giving one star because can give zero. Ordered pavbhaji and it was worst.
The staff always takes my order modification and make a veggie burger exactly like I want. Love the veggie burger and sandwiches here
We try combo bhaji pav , pulav, dabeli it s was very bad taste like they are used coconut oil for dabeli and bhaji very solty tast. May b expired food
Their food was amazing! I tried it at an OGSA event and it was soo good!!
Awesome food, and awesome people as well! One of the best places for desi food in Scarborough! If you haven t had Mumbai Express, you need to pay them a visit asap!
Had their food at the OGSA Rang Jo Lagyo event and it was amazing!! great variety and reminded me of home :)
The prices are good, but if youre expecting to get close enough taste to mumbai street food, then you will be disappointed. The chaat and sandwich were okay, but do not go for their Pav bhaji and/or misal, its not even close.
Amazing food and service, very tasty!
Not enough staff, poor customer service.
Pretty great chaat and snack items. Quite authentic tasting dishes. We have tried almost all the dishes on the menu. Always tempted since we stay so close by.
Taste is not good.
Its my go to place for breaks! Quick tasty and affordable food at one stop! Must try their Frankie, its closest to the one you get get in Mumbai!
Everything Is well spaced & placed, Food is delicious and customized, appreciate that the staff is quite attentive. Very balanced on spices. Aroma just wafts in the place. Keep it up.
Worst place to eat out. I had sandwiches and papdi chat there, the worst i have ever had.
The quality of the food was not good, we ordered Paneer bhurji and kulcha, vadapav, chickoo lassi, but not satisfied with the taste. Only Kachori chat was ok. Would not recommend, if you are fond of good taste.
Pav bhaji and rasgulla were terrible. Vada pav was over spicy. Dabeli and samosa Chaat were good. Good quantity for the price
Pretty decent place must try samosa chaat.
I ordered Pav bhaji and Masala Pav, seeing the place name I thought might as well try it, should have seen the ratings first. Both the items were stale, I hope I don t get sick because of this! Not worth it at all.
Perfect for indian food
Delicious food, amazing customer service!
Wonderful and tasty Pani puri, Samosa and Channa Samosa. Really worth for money. Not much crowded. Quick service. Future will try other dishes.
Vada pav are good
Wheelchair accessibility: It was really difficult to get in the restaurant and no one was there to open the door and was kept waiting outside in chilling cold just because no one was there in restaurant to help me, suggest not to step in before 12pm afternoon to avoid any waiting ,
food is good......
Food 3/5 Cleanliness 4/5 Service 5/5
Tried out my first vada pav and samosa chaat - the samosa chaat is the star of the show. Service was friendly and helpful, though it did take quite some time for the food to be ready (I believe they only had a handful of staff, and there were a couple of large orders ahead od us). I love how this place is 100% vegetarian and is specifically dedicated to Mumbai snacks and street food, which can be hard to come across sometimes. Vegetarian options: 100% vegetarian (can be made vegan friendly on request)
Visited twice in a week. Excellent food quality and taste. Tried Veg. Franky, Samosa chat, and Dal makhni kulcha. Really recommend!!
Worst taste ever. You guys chrge $10 for paneer sandwich, I will not even pay $2 for that. Going to this restaurant is just a wastage of money and time. Its better to stay empty stomach instead of going to this place.
Feels like in India
The best Vada Pav I have eaten so far here in Toronto, reminds me of Mumbai Would definitely recommend
This restaurant has amazing food and is owned by some of the nicest people Ive ever met! Highly recommend :)
Food was good. Had the pani puri.
They serve the authentic Indian cuisine the owner is really nice and humble. The food is just amazing
My favorite place for Mumbai chaat items like tawa pulao, paav bhaaji, vada pav, Dabeli and they also have falooda which tastes awesome.
The interior reminded me of mumbai in true sense. The slang printed on the counter, the digital pics on the wall, and good street food option and topping all the masala tea.
Food was disappointing
perfect promise loaf
Went 2 times to this store, order dal combo. Dal was not good , it was not fresh at all taste like 2-3 days old, I complaint about it , didnt eat the full food ,just eat rice but the owner didnt agree that it was not fresh ,moreover doesnt even feel that its there mistake For service wise i would rate a big ZERO to them And i feel bad about this as well that she charge me first before dine in and even after didnt apologize at all ,when i said it is not fresh ,even in the complaint conversation on that time i said taste that dal but she keep saying i dont need to taste i know its good ,and now about the freshness it was microwaved thats why it was hot and it was having a layer on the top, even after this much conversation in which i was complaining because i paid for the food and it was not right she did nothing , very poor service , very bad attitude of owner Will never ever go back and will never recommend any one
Ordered shahi paneer and tawa pulao combo yesterday from Skip. Shahi paneer was below average, naan was uncooked and the pulao had very bad taste like it was made days ago. Had to throw everything.
The food is good just ask them about the time it would take for the order beforehand for certain items it would save your time
Very nice food, decent price.
Love the vadapav
Note that their website has the wrong menu prices. They will charge you $1-2 more per dish in reality. Food not good at all - oily and spicy. They will say the spice level is mild for some items but its actually super spicy.
We have ordered kachori chat and pav bhaji both were not and doesn t seem to be fresh, curry in pav bhaji smells not good and chat also I never such a worst kachori chat.
Quick service and food was good
Amazing food and reasonably priced.. Hits the right taste buds.. Professional service from the staff..
Ordered Dabeli and Vada Pav online, nicely packed and very tasty
Ordered Tandoori and Schezwan momos. Both were very delicious. Made my day.
Love their samosas, I get 20 for just 7 bucks!
Its really yummy and affordable
I don t even wanna give one star.. Very bad food .. I ordered samosa chaat and they just add sauce on the samosas even no channa no onion nothing and the grilled sandwich look like animals food. But their prices are so high .. definitely not recommend
The Food tastes authentic and the recipes are perfect
