We catered from Poppadum - the biryanis was amazing! Really well cooked, not greasy, and lots of raita! The vada pav and samosa puff were a huge hit with our guests. Loved it!

A hidden gem in Toronto. A must visit place for Marathi food lovers. One of the most authentic and best Vada pav and Sabudana Vada I have ever had. The pavs are super soft and made in house. Tried the misal and Veggie grilled sandwich as well. Reminds you of the streets of India. The masala fries are a great addition! The staff is very friendly. Must visit!!

One of the best indian food in downtown toronto. All the staff members and owner are quite welcoming and kind enough. The food is at next level which reminds you of your hometown. Having said that, every weekend special menu is quite an unique concept and the dishes served is quite delicious. Kudos to everyone for their hardwork.

I order from uber eats all the time and always buy the vadapav (mix -1 each) and I ve also tried Samosa puff, Misal paav and Ragda pattice. My favourite is the Schezwan vadapav cause the Vada quality and taste is so so amazing and fresh that I really can t describe in the words. And their service is so amazing that anytime you call there s just going to be someone amazing on other side. They provide the best service from I ve seen anywhere here in Toronto to be honest. I hope their food quality , service or anything remains the same in future. Vegetarian options: Have the best vegetarian options in taste and quality both manner. Dietary restrictions: Follow the dietary restrictions and modify accordingly.

Authentic Maharashtrian delicacies. Made me feel nostalgic and took me back to Mumbai. The misal pav, vadapav, sabudana vada, kokum sharbat, grilled sandwich, along with amazing Indian desserts- Tiramisu gulab jamun, Srikhand Cheesecake, everything is upto mark. Kudos to this place. I just pray that they stay like that!

Their Vada Pavs are to DIE FOR! Its hard to be around Yonge & Bloor and not want to drop in for a quick bite. Their whole menu looks delish, but I love their vada pav so much that that is all I always get lol...Both traditional and schezwan are fire! Food

Smallish place, more a takeout style unless you get lucky! We stood outside trying not to stare at the ones sitting inside but willing them to leave soon! Which proved fruitful because the food was great. Not very expensive for the location, food was made and presented well, and tasted good. With the right company, I d like to go back again to try more of their stuff. For those looking for a cooler in the summer, try the Imli Soda!

Placed an online order for pickup. I ordered Chicken Tikka sandwich, Veg Grilled sandwich and Misal pav. I liked the taste of chicken Tikka sandwich but Veg sandwich and misal pav was a big disappointment. Veg sandwich was missing the mumbai tadka/taste. Misal had a very thick layer of oil. I know that oil is called taari. I would recommend giving taari on side. Taste of misal was ok. Misal was missing the kick may be the spice. Found the food slightly expensive for the quantity and quality. For this price, the quality of food should be top notch. A Chefs advice to chefs and owner.

Vada Pav and Misal Pav were both good. Close enough for the taste of Mumbai. Samosa puff was disappointing.

Ahh it reminded me of Mumbai. We had ordered vada pav and Bombay sandwich and trust me the vada pav was greatttt better than what I have had in Canada in general. I think I ll go again to try out their menu. They have sabudana vada and misal as well.

Had misal and masala fries for takeout. Misal is truly authentic similar to puneri misal. Masala fries were good too. Loved the misal. (just tell them to make it spicy for those who are saying it was bland) Panha was good as well. Tea was a disappointment though. We can t expect 100% taste but still misal made my expectations high. Please work on the tea. One suggestion, please increase the portion of potatos and onion in misal.

After planning for months and reading such impressive reviews, we went to the restaurant today with high hopes. We ordered Vada pav, Kokam Sharbat and Ragda pattice. Sharbat was good. Vada pav had more tamarind chutney than red powder chutney and ragda pattice was very average. On top of it,within half an hour of leaving the store, me and my husband both started having severe stomach ache. Looks like something was very old, probably any chutney on the dishes. Not sure. Bt something was not good. Really dissatisfied.

Great food., veg and non-veg. Misal pav is amazing, soft pav and delicious spicy stew. All the deserts are knockout good. Cheesecake and gulub tiramisu are fantastic.

Great food! I am from Mumbai and spent a lot of money to find a decent vadapav in Toronto. Poppadum undoubtedly makes the best vadapav. As authentic as it can get. Also tried the mushroom puff and paneer hand pie, both were delish!

Being a Mumbaikar, this is my go to spot for vada pav. Their masala fries are the best Ive ever had. Nimbu Paani is extremely refreshing. I just wished they did a side of masala fries with vada pav too. Feedback - cleanliness under the table by the door could be better.

Got the classic vada pav and masala fries. Overall I really enjoyed the vada pav, the buns were great and really nice chutneys. Solid level of spice as well. The masala fries were also really nice, good crisp and the egg free tandoori aioli was a pleasant surprise and nice touch. They have a samosa puff Im really curious to try in the future.

I havent had the chance to go in person but whenever I need a quick lunch I order their chicken Tikka sandwich on Uber with the tandoori fries ofc. Im so glad they dont add things like mayo or ketchup to the sandwich and keep it authentic with chutney. Also I read some of the replies to the negative reviews and Im so glad this business owner has the guts to stand by their product and they do it with grace and without being unkind. I passed by this place and thought to try it. I was a bit disappointed- first I waited 5 minutes before someone showed up. Staff was bringing in a delivery of groceries. I placed an order for a chicken tikka sandwich - price seemed high but hoped it was a substantial sandwich. I saw the server walk to the back unload more deliveries before starting my order. I think it s oremade sandwiches and then it s toasted upon order. The taste was nice chicken tikka but the vegetables felt a bit wet and made the bread soggy. I know that s because it was pre made. It was a regular size store bought bread sandwich. Brioche bread is rich but not sure it s the right balance for this. I ate and enjoyed but was considered small and over priced.

This is a cute place to hang out with your friends for a quick snack. I had high expectations from the food though. We ordered Vada Pav, Misal Pav, Samosa Puff, Butter Chicken Pastry, and Masala Chai. I only like Vada Pav and Samosa Puff. I am a tea-lover but their tea disappointed me. It didn t have enough cardamom or the masala as it should be in a masala chai. The misal pav was bland too. I think the taste can be made better but it could be because of all the diverse customers that they have kept it this way. I have had better vada pavs and masala chai in Toronto.

Loved their vada pau. The crust for the puff is super crispy and perfect but sadly the filling is bland. The filling for paneer hand pie is perfect but the crust not so much. I suggest making a panner puff, it will sell out like crazy!! But I would definitely visit again.

Food was authentic and hygienic no doubt , only issue was the space to accommodate larger number of people . Fee were waiting outside and few inside on people to finish food. Rest all good. Whats the icing on the cake? Their saffron cheesecake!! Its almost as if youll relive Remys ratatouille moment in a single and many more bites of this cake! Ordered from uber eats. Ordered Schezwan vada pav, the vada pav was good but the schezwan sauce was some orange mayo like sauce which I did not like. Also, no green chilli or masala was there in the vada pav. Also had the chicken sandwich which was good!

My colleague and I heard about this place yesterday and decided to try it today for lunch. Right from the moment we got there, we were impressed! We arrived 15 minutes before they opened and were kindly let in early and placed our order. We had the chicken tikka sandwich with the masala fries. It was absolutely amazing!! The food was so fresh and it had just the right amount of spice. Each bite was a flavour explosion!! I highly recommend giving this amazing restaurant a try!! Let s start with what I ordered! - Vada Pav ( 2 Pieces of OG Vadapav) - Vada Pav ( 2 Pieces of Schezwan Vadapav) - Grilled Veggie Sandwich Combo ( A drink + Masala Fries) - Chicken Kebab Roll A great place to have Indian snacks. I was really impressed by the Grilled sandwich it was fully loaded with veggies and worth it and the masala fries were decent spicy and delicious too. (Forgot to take a photo) There are a lot of places in Toronto which are serving Vada Pav but surely Poppadum s OG Vada pav for me has made it to the top 3 places as well. The Schezwan Vada pav didn t have Schezwan in it and neither it tasted like Schezwan. That we were confused about. I did not have the Chicken Kebab Roll but my friend described it for me and according to him the bread was but there could ve been some more filling inside. The place is small but beautiful. Not a lot of seating space for large groups but surely a must visit.

We ordered the vada pav (based on the shops recommendation) and the misal pav. Honestly we were pretty excited to try as we cook Indian at home and this place opened up around the corner. Pretty disappointed as the vada pav was overly salty and the misal pav was very oily.

Would come by just for the homestyle chicken curry, and saffron mango cheesecake. The south Indian ice coffee and chai are amazing too!

If you want to try or are missing authentic flavours of Indian snacks, this is the place for you! We ordered Chettinad Chicken Curry Bun and Vada Pav and my god they were delicious! The chettinad chicken was out of this world and the Vada pav was mouthwatering too. And if youre an Indian like me craving Thums Up in Toronto then youre in for a treat! A cute thing about the restaurant is the cold water pitcher and glasses right near the counter. Really a thoughtful gesture. The owner of the restaurant is a pleasant person with an interesting backstory of how the place started, which we were lucky enough to know. (Want to take this opportunity to thank the owner again for running after us to return my phone which I forgot at the restaurant)

If you are looking for an Indian (South Asian) snack/meal corner then Poppadum is the answer. They specializes in Maharashtrian food (food from the Western coast of India). I highly recommend trying their pav (bread) treats - from vada pav to pav bhaji to kheema pav, they have the full range. The pavs are soft, freshly baked and all dishes are served with authentic tastes. I was pleasantly surprised to find Kokum sarbat in their beverage section as I dint expect to find that here. Overall, the food and the variety exceeded my expectations. Will surely come back for more!

Its interesting how they mix and match ingredients to offer Indian street foods/small bites. I tried the chicken roll and its pretty good; the pastry is soft while the chicken kebab is flavorful. The heat and seasoning are strong, typically Indian food.

Small and clean outlet. Their vada pav and sandwiches somewhat satisfy the Mumbai street-food cravings for sure!! They also have special add ons on weekends. This week it was biryani, although I didnt try it. Friendly staff :) Food : 4/5

The chef is one of the best in the city. Very very talented. Everything he makes is well done and carefully prepared. His special meals are amazing!! Amazing vada pav and misal pav. Please bring back your weekly menus!!!!

Amazing catering provided by the poppadum team, great communication, preparation and organization. Wide menu for variety, highly recommended! Chicken kabobs, vada pav and Chettinand buns were a highlight!

The food was great! Authentic taste. Transported me back to India! We ordered the OG vadapav,schezwan vadapav,samosa puff and masala fries. Everything was delicious, especially the samosa puff was mouthwatering! Only place in Toronto to serve authentic and delicious Indian street food. Will go back again to try some new delicacies

I am glad I discovered this gem.. the staff is polite and friendly.. the Bombay sandwich is an actual Bombay sandwich and so is the Vada pav.. but for me the star is the kokum serbet.. Gulab Jamun Tiramisu is a must try..I am coming back for the misal pav for sure :)

Got a chance to have the food in the pop-up kitchen in Food district Square one . loved the samosa puff , mushroom chettinad puff and of course grilled sandwich. Awesome and delicious fresh food .

Authentic Indian beverages and snacks. Vada pav filling and peanut spice chutney with mint chutney smearing takes back to streets of pune. Chai and coffee brewed to perfection. True kadak chai lovely flavours.

The best place where you could find good vegetarian options. Loved the vada pav they make here, the pav they prepare here reminds me of back home. Probably not many restaurants make their pav s in house and if you re lucky enough you would see them getting the pav s straight out of the oven and thats a site to see! Def coming back

The most genuine and top-notch Maharashtrian cuisine in the GTA! We made the drive from Cambridge to Mississauga just for their pop-up at the Food District. Got an opportunity to chat with the chef such an impressive dedication to honoring home-cooked flavors. Absolutely planning to indulge in their thali meal; it looks incredibly delicious!!

Excellent food. Tried Vada Pav, Ragda Patrice, Veg grilled sandwich and gulab jamun tiramisu. Just one word to sum up the food experience chatakedar . I will be definitely be visiting this place more often.Loved it. Nothing to complain

Sandwiches are yummy. Masala on the fries are the bomb. Absolutely loved the gulab jamun tiramisu - Its a little pricey at $7 but mostly worth it and its something you wont find it anywhere else.

I came here for a quick bite during a day of shopping in yorkville. The staff was super friendly and the person working explained everything on the menu for us. We got the chicken kabab roll and the the vada pav in both flavours. Everything was delicious, super flavourful and fresh. I ll definitely be back to try other things on the menu

The Komdi Vade and Malvani chicken brought me back to my childhood, thank you! Food was excellent even when we ordered delivery, we will be visiting the place very soon. Highly recommend to try out the Kombdi Vade and Malvani chicken! Its very good and very much reminded me of my mothers cooking.

Great food, something different than a typical Indian restaurant.

They are consistently good. Vada pav was amazing. Chicken tikka sandwich was scrumptious. Tried pav bhaji, keema pav, chettinad bun, veggie sandwich. The pavs are extremely good. They are so fresh and fluffy. Mango cheesecake was also lovely, not too sweet and good amount of kesar. Chettinad was a bit saltier. Update: We tried their catering menu recently. The methi chicken is so so good. Keema biryani was good as well. Veg kolhapuri lacked spice though, it was on the sweeter side. More navratan korma imo. Chettinad puffs was a total delight. Naanza s were good too. Christmas time, you must must get their plum cake. We paired it with vanilla ice cream. It was such a hit. Cake is super moist, perfect amount of sweet. And so nostalgic. Loved it.

I went with my friend who is vegetarian so she got the veggie sandwich with the fries and I got the butter chicken hand pie. We both really enjoyed what we got, but the real star of the meal was those fries. Its probably the best fries Ive had. They were spicy, though lol. Im happy they had a water jug out with cups out. The place itself is small and cute. Staff are friendly. Im definitely coming back.
