Boccone Deli & Pizza in Toronto

I love this restaurant. It s one of our favourites for lunch or an early dinner. The food is always delicious and the service & atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. If you haven t tried this little neighbourhood gem yet then I highly recommend it.

Ordered their deluxe pizza and there was nothing deluxe about the cheap ingredients they used. Not tasty at all.

Horrible experience. Hands down the worst veal sandwich in the GTA. Threw it out. Avoid.

Very good spot if you want a quick bite! It s kind of like a cafeteria because you choose your food then sit down. However, they serve you your food at the table you choose to sit at.The food is very good for its price. I got the Veal dinner. The veal is topped with tomato sauce and parmigiana cheese, and I got a side of penne salad that s with white sauce, and the last side is imitation crab. Even though the crab is imitation the flavours pair elegantly with the veal and penne. I always look forward to coming back every time!

I have been ordering from this place since 2012 and had good salad choices and prices were very reasonable before they did all the renovations in the store. Since they have reopened , the prices have gone sky high and the quality of food has come drastically come down and not a lot of salad choices or warm plates. ( $17 for a spoon of veggies and a piece of dry chicken which is supposedly cooked while you are waiting ???) Even before this is not an ITALIAN place to be called. Disappointing. Better choices with other places around the area.

Delicious. Hot and cold dishes for every mood and palette. Meat or Vegetarian? No problem. Lots of selection. Plus a cozy little bar nook at the back. Would be nice if it stayed open later. Still, You should go. Vegetarian options: Lots of choice. Fear not. Go boldly. Kid-friendliness: Casual, relaxed eatery. Ample seating.

I stopped in for lunch today and ordered the eggplant sandwich. I was disappointed to discover little bits of animal protein in the sandwich, I think it was in the sauce... I dont eat meat. In addition to the animal protein the eggplant very thinly sliced and was far too salty, the bun wasnt good either, just your typical grocery store bread bun, nothing special. I wont be back.

My favourite place in Midtown! So delicious food, always fresh and tasty. I am addicted to their parmiggiana and focaccia, my husband to their lasagne and seedod salad, and kids to meat balls, pizza, and cakes. Furthermore, they have one of the best capuccino and latte in Toronto. Also, very decent prices, little patio in the back, lovely and always kind staff. So lucky to have them in the neighborhood!

Dont understand the high ratings for the veal sandwich - not enough sause, light on the veal, about a third of the.size of the Claremont St California veal Sandwich but hey its $3 less. Disappointing.

Great service, walked in just before they were closing. Gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Picked up spaghetti & meatball pasta, orzo salad, and some pizza slices.

Amazing food and ambiance. Ive been going here for over 20 years and it has only gotten better (although its always been great). Great little place for lunch- beautiful salads, sandwiches and hot foods. Highly recommend!

Was my fourth time coming into this establishment because the sandwiches are great but unfortunately the women who takes the orders is completely unprofessional & impolite each time. Do not go into this establishment asking questions because you will most likely get a Condescending reply to anything you may question. I know many other great Italian establishments that will treat you like family, this unfortunately isnt one.

We ordered a large catered lunch from Boccone for a 20 person business event, and the delivery was so smooth. The food was amazing and everyone was very pleased. Prices were great too. Very highly recommended, and we will definitely order from Boccone again!

Absolutely brutal service and pizza. Asked for a coffee the woman said they didn t have anymore when they had a full espresso/latte machine. Lady was totally unfriendly and the other guy there was useless

I love the breaded chicken sandwiches here. The staff are friendly, the food is reasonably priced, and always delicious. This is a great place to grab a quick Italian lunch during the week.

Veal sandwich and clam chowder, both of which were amazing. Everything fresh, and service was great.

Amazing first dishes incl the calamari, meat and cheese board and arancini. The pastas were really great, and the veal was fantastic.

I got the pizza for free, due to my participation in a Yonge and St. Clair neighborhood merchants association promotion. It tasted okay, but not as hot as pizza is supposed to be. Reasonably priced pop.

The menu have good options, the lasagna had good quality meat. The portions are reasonable with the average price of $19 per plate/ person. The desert is very limited, some cookies, nothing special.

Love grilled chiken sandwich and veal sandwich! Thats what I had so far and I intend to try all sandwiches. Great lunch spot with heated patio in the back and plenty of space inside!

First time trying La Boccone today. Friendly staff. I ordered the Veal sandwich with everything on it, It was marvellous. Not too much on it like California sandwich , was just right and decent value. Also have a snug little bar in the back for a quiet pint. As Arnie says I ll be back. Thumbs up

Had Boccone yesterday. First time there. Did the special of the day: fish, vegetables, and potatoes. It was amazing !!! As I waited for my food I looked over the entire counter and realized everything looked amazing. Needless to say....try this place out. You won t be disappointed!

I ve been going here since I was very little - it s family run, everything is delicious and is one of my absolute favourite places to go for lunch. The focaccia sandwiches are some of my favourite sandwiches in the city. When they have it, I m also a BIG fan of the manicotti. Like BIG fan. Also it s a GREAT value. Also they cater events if you re ever interested.

Ive been a Customer since the 90s and absolutely love going to Boccone! The Owner, Vince and his staff, are always very nice and the food, always super fresh and tasty/delish! 5/5 stars!

come in here for lunch at least 2 - 3x a week as my office is steps away... absolutely fantastic and what makes it better is the staff! so warm and inviting, not to mention friendly and always smiling.

Ive got a fetish for good food and this place gets me hot! Everything from the starters to the entrees to the desserts meshed perfectly with my flavor-profile. Everything was just so yummy. The decor was unique and incredible. The waiter did an excellent job. They got a new customer for life!

This is my third time here. The food is solid. The staff are friendly, and if theres not a long line (lunch rush is always pretty strong) they are helpful explaining the choices and ordering options.

The freshest for next to home cooking, but probably tastes better. You get what you pay for, so a small meal for me was over $13, but definitely worth it for quality and healthiness.

April 11, 2019. 10:45 AM. I am pleased to say that after walking the airport and approaching 4 restaurants. I settled to have my breakfast at this fine establishment. Many restaurants (2) were to untidy to even get my business and the third assumed I wanted to sit at the bar when there were many available tables, advised they could not offer me decaf coffee. THEN I approached BOCONNE. Smiling staff, pleasant interaction and inspite of not having decaf..SALVINA M gave me an me an option. As clean and classy, comfortable affordable and open concept with a feeling of privacy. I witness the manager who was so polite in his interactions with his staff it was admirable and presented true professionalism. Then the food ...great..... In short a experience is the total of manager, staff, food and environment. I would give 10 stars if possible.

I came around 1:30 pm on a weekday. I wanted a quick, hearty lunch. This was my first time visiting. I looked at the hot food and nothing seemed fresh or appealing. I opted for a Veal Parmesan sandwich, as thats one of my favourites and I feel like a good Italian spot cant really mess that up. Well, I didnt think that was possible. I asked for it to be on a plate, but she forgot and wrapped it up. No problem, I took the plate and looked for seating, which was quite easy as there was no lunch rush...the interior dining room was lacking in appearance, but I never let that get to me. I sat down to quickly have my lunch and my first bite I was quickly disappointed. It was cold, soggy and tasteless. The paramesan should be hot, crispy, cheese should be melted. It was cold, the sauce was basic sauce. Ive had hearty, delicious Veal Sandwiches before, so I know what Im looking for. Unfortunately, at a $11 price tag, this did not have it. I dont recommend this meal not this restaurant. There are a lot better options in the area, Im sure.

Great atmosphere for any occassion! Great Italian food from sandwiches to pasta and salads. Faces east onto Young Street and does an outdoor patio for the warmer months. There is a Public Parking lot across the street very close by. Lots of shops to see and visit along the way after your meal.

A staple for the Yonge and St. Clair lunch crowd... this place really delivers and always has something to suit your fancy. Whether its a salad or a pasta or a sandwich... you can count on getting something very fast and the quality is always there. Prices are reasonable. Its nothing over the top. This is probably why its lasted in this neighborhood for so long. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a sit down lunch but are also cognizant of the time you are away from the office.

Food mediocre. Expensive. Atmosphere a 6 out of 10. Music/tv (considering it was lunch) was pretty loud. Also someone working there was scrubbing something with bleach and it was so loud that we left.

Their food was delicious but after 2 hours I had acid and felt very bad in my stomach which means it should have been very oily. If you do not have a strong stomach I do not recommend this place for you

Sandwiches were cold, the mushrooms were definitely canned and not fresh. hot chocolate was from a packet and tasted like chocolate flavoured tea at best, they locked us in, gave me an espresso machiato when I purchaced a cappuccino, shall I go on? I have no idea why this place is rated so highly.

I come to this place for lunch quite regularly. Lot of really healthy options at reasonable prices. My favourite is the pasta combo for $12 which gets me a choice of 4 different salads out of a possible 10 or so choices!

The Avocado and crab salad is a must try. Reason why I keep coming back again and again!!

Great food and atmosphere. Went for lunch with some coworkers and it was busy at around 12-1pm. The sandwiches were a little cold so if you want them warm make sure to let them know.
