We had a fantastic time tonight for my wife’s birthday. The grilled calamari was delicious. Our son devoured his meatball pasta within a couple of minutes after arriving. Our daughter also loved the truffle pasta. Our server Nadine was amazing and took care of us right from the start and was very attentive. She even brought a small ice cream with a candle for my wife! Thank you for the wonderful experience.
We had such a wonderful night out at this restaurant! The wine selection was fantastic and perfectly complemented our meal. All the apps especially the calamari was a delicious start to the evening. Every dish and drink was spot on, making the whole experience memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!
First time at this location and it was a fantastic experience! Our server, Daniel, was attentive and offered great menu recommendations. The food came out quick and tasted great.
We enjoyed the high ceiling of Cibo -Yonge Street. Our server is efficient granted she covered almost all tables on that evening. We were particularly delighted with our appetizers on the taste and presentation. We will go back.
Wednesday Pastas are $15!! There are 7 to choose from. Generous portions and delicious! Ive been back a few times and pretty much tried all of them. My favourite is the Rigatoni & Fontina.
We came here for the half prized pizza Tuesday, ordered 5 pizzas, and it was only around $20/pp, great deal! Pizza ranking as below. Recommend: 1️⃣ Gorgonzola 2️⃣ Diavola Average: 3️⃣ Fresh Italian Truffle 4️⃣ Funghi Not a favourite: 5️⃣ Pollo pesto
The service was 5 stars! We had Marma who was very attentive, offered honest opinions on what to try and was professional. We had the Gorgonzola salad, Margherita pizza, truffle pizza, tiramisu and a bottle of the 2016 SYRAH Feudo Disisa red wine from southern Italy. All photos included in this review with captions. The restaurant was quite large and our experience was outstanding. The wine cellar holds a remarkable 1700 bottles! Our waitress was the best part of our evening, she was welcoming, warm and provided us just the right amount of time between our orders. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the washrooms were not attended to and not clean or replenished. There were tissues on the floor and some sort of water leakage / accident that had accumulated infront of the middle toilet. Overall experience was lovely and the hostesses were also pleasant and offered a warm welcome upon arrival.
At this point I've been to all three locations but I think I liked this one the most. The service was great but the meals came out a bit slower than expected. The mushroom truffle pasta was so good. The tagliatelle was so fresh and light. The focaccia was an amazing addition to the plate of burrata. Will definitely be going back.
Im glad I tried this place using groupon. Served burnt octopus, and salmon tasted ok. It felt like chef was lazy with meal preparation for a fine dining place. Service needs lots of improvement, our waitress is not attentive to detail. Liked my cocktail and tiger shrimp; ambience is good. Food
Service was top notch, and our server was great!
EDIT: IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS NOW AND WE STILL DIDNT GET OUR MONEY BACK. Horrible customer service. I feel cheated. We went last Tuesday for dinner with a group of friends and by mistake they overcharged us. (We paid DOUBLE the real price). When we reviewed the receipt we realized it and notified them. They asked us for our phone numbers so they could call us the next day and ask for our information and return the money we had paid extra. The mistake is ok, we all can have a mistake. The problem is that it has been a week and they havent even contacted us. We had to call twice to ask. They give us excuses and tell us the person in charge will call in a few days. I feel scammed and deceived. Are we gonna get our money back?
The orrechiette was really good (albeit, expensive for what it is at $29) but the beef carpaccio wasn t good we had to scrape it off the plate using our forks (it was $24). Our server was quite attentive, which we appreciated.
Vegetarian diet
Andy was an amazing server. Would come back just for his service
Andy was our server, and the whole experience was amazing! From the recommendations, to his service, there is nothing more we could ask for! I had the fusilli, and a series of cocktails - could not recommend cibo more!
Andy is an absolute king, the food is delicious
Excellent service from Andrew, great food and atmosphere
Great spot for dinner in midtown, have gone multiple times and never been disappointed. Would also like to mention Andrew, who we ve luckily had each time; the service has always been fantastic. Would highly recommend
My friend and I had a lovely dinner at Cibo tonight with tasty food and wonderful, friendly service from our server Marina. Thank you Marina and Cibo team for making my friend s bday dinner a positive experience!
Would be nice if bread was complimentary
We had a dinner planned and we had an order in through SkipTheDishes for 40 minutes then Cibo cancelled it. Couldnt even get ahold of someone to ask why because they dont answer the phone.
Food was mediocre and the service was terrible. One of the dishes had no flavor....had to put salt and pepper to make it palatable. They overcharged us for drinks. Our friends diah came more than an hour late. To make things worse, waiter made us pay a mandatory tip of 20%. Would not go there again
Great food, we have burrata, arrancini, and pasta and everything was delicious. Beautiful location and chill vibes, good music in the background. The service however was sub-par, it took our waitress over half an hour to come take our dessert order and I physically had to get up a number of times to request for items we needed (more water, sugar for my cappuccino, the bill etc). Took us almost 4 hours to have dinner.
I came here last night for my anniversary dinner and all I can say is I had a really great time. The service was amazing. Andrew was our server and he was so attentive and funny! The food was a 10 out of 10 we liked everything we ate I had the pesto pasta! They also gave us the dessert complementary, which was a really sweet touch! I would definitely recommend this place!
Simply delicious and good atmosphere
This was my third time at CIBO. The first time was the King Street location, and the past two times were Yonge Street. Today was special because we celebrated my mother s birthday and retirement. Our server was Andrew and I have to give him a special shout-out. As someone who has been to countless restaurants, Andrew is the best server I ve ever experienced. He has an excellent aura and welcoming personality. He was well informed about the menu and his descriptions were so solid that I could taste the food/drinks as he explained them. CIBO needs to give him a raise and promotion!
The best thing about this is the atmosphere. The service was adequate. The cocktails are single-shot and tasted extremely weak/watered down. $17 for a weak mule is laughable. We asked for a bit more of a shot The margherita pizza had no basil, nor dollops of mozza. Instead, it looked like a basic cheese pizza. Very disappointing.
Nice location with fantastic Italian food, service is normal.
Love the menu and the vibe!
Amazingly soft and delicious octopus and food taste was great! Andrew ,he served excellent! Food
It was a great experience. They had nice selection of wines to choose from and authentic Italian pasta and pizzas. Personally, I loved the Pollo Pesto pizza. The staff were very attentive and friendly especially Andrew. Highly recommended!
Excellent food & service. Will go back for sure
Foods were good and all servers were very friendly and helpful.
Went to CiBO for a birthday celebration. Food was delicious and fresh. Service was amazing. Will definitely go back. Loved the seafood Risotto.
The ambiance is perfect for a date night or even a family night out . The staff is always available to assist you. The food is great as well.
The ambiance is great. We all had pasta, which was good, albeit slightly bland. Staff is friendly and the wine selection is large.
Good food and service. Had a good time with the lady. Thanks.
If I could give 3.5 I would. The server was quick and friendly, the food was alright. It was half price pizza day so maybe thats why, but I thought there was better pizza places in town. Id go on a Thursday when its half price wine, but otherwise I probably wouldnt go back.
Absolute worst experience as it was my first with two other friends. The bruschetta was soggy as the bread was flimsy and the tomatoes were falling off. My penne polle chicken pizza was burnt, couldnt even bite through it. My jaws hurts after trying to eat it. My friends penne pasta ala vodka tasted like chef boyardee. There was no flavour.
Always a great spot for pasta or pizza. Wednesday pasta specials and half priced wines are an incredible bargain.
Food was good, service was great! We will go again.
Best tagliatelle bolognese in the city. Amazing atmosphere and wonderful service from Abel
Abel was such a great server. The food was splendid and burrata was to die for. Definitely recommend.
Best pasta ever!! And the gin cocktail I had was sodelicious. Abel provided amazing service. Definitely recommend
Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating with allergies Food
Abel was an amazing server! Very kind staff, food comes out super quick, and the place has a beautiful ambience. Best tagliatelle bolognese I ve ever had!
Went for brunch! Food and service were excellent! Highly recommend!!
Food was delicious and the service was amazing. Came for the bottomless mimosas for my friends birthday and Nancy the bartender was super quick and kind with her service! The brunch menu was amazing we will for sure be back
It was an honour to be served by THE Andrew that everyone in the reviews spoke so highly of. He made the experience worth while. He knows his stuff around wine and you could really tell he cares. It s a breath of fresh air to see a server with the level of attentiveness and passion
Andrew gets 5* for service, efficiency, and knowledge. Very accommodating restaurant for any type of food preferences and restrictions
Food is worse than Walmart
Fantastic!
Tuesday deal half price pizzas was great!
Nancy was absolutely amazing, kind n very attentive.
We had a great time at brunch. Cibo has a great bottomless mimosa special that is absolutely worth it for $30/pp. We had such amazing and super attentive service by Nancy.
The appetizer and service were good, but I liked the atmosphere more.
This location is one of my favourite CIBO locations, however I wish the parking was convenient. Often street parking is not available. The food is always great and the employees are confident in the food that are suggested to customers !
I recently visited Cibo Wine Bar on Yonge Street with two friends for dinner. The restaurants ambiance was lovely, with a romantic and charming vibe. However, our initial encounter with the host was very unpleasant. We were greeted coldly and told that the restaurant wasnt accepting patrons due to a broken payment machine, despite the fact that there were still several open tables. The host then awkwardly stared at her computer before telling us they were no longer accepting walk-ins due to reservations. After a brief conversation with another staff member, we were told there was a leak in the roof, and then, finally, we were seated in a corner away from everyone else. The service was unfortunately slow, with a 15-minute wait before our server offered us water and another 15 minutes before we could place our order. The calamari appetizer lacked flavor, but the pizzas (Americano, Capricciosa, and San Giorgio) were delicious, although the toppings were unevenly distributed. The atmosphere and decor were nice, and the noise level was comfortable for conversation. The washrooms were clean and well-stocked. However, when we asked our server about the payment issues and roof leak, she said she was unaware of any problems and found the hosts behavior odd. We were a group of three, two of Asian background and one of African background, and we noticed that the restaurants clientele was primarily Caucasian and older. We were all dressed nicely and in our late 20s, so we were left feeling confused and uncomfortable by the hosts actions. Anyway this left us feeling discriminated against due to our ethnic background. I could totally be reading into it, but this has been the first time I ve ever experience something like this that I had to write about it. Overall, while the pizza was tasty, the slow service and initial negative encounter with the host overshadowed our experience at Cibo Wine Bar on Yonge Street. Wheelchair accessibility: Washroom inaccessible by wheelchair. Must walk downstairs
The food was really small, good enough for a child
My husband and I came here for brunch and it was absolutely amazing and delicious the food was incredibly delicious and the service was amazing everyone is very friendly and the place looks absolutely amazing like a fancy restaurant
Sat there for 15 minutes. Not a single waiter came to our table despite the restaurant being virtually empty. We got up to leave, and the hostess asked us why we were leaving. Told her we got no service, and she just gave us a cold nod.
Myself and my partner dined at Cibo and had one of the worst dining experiences. I have been a regular customer for many years at the location in Yorkville, and I decided to try a different location. The taste of the food was adequate, however the service by the staff was not. For starters, myself and my partner were seated at a table that was wobbling, when we asked our waiter to switch tables, she said she would stabilize it. Someone arrived to attempt to stabilize it while we were seated at it, which is not logical as the table was against the wine cellar. Following a failed attempt, they proceeded to move us. Next, when ordering my soda, the waitress walked away from me as I was concluding my sentence to say I did not want ice in it, my partner had to get up and let another employee know. We were served our meals, which tasted amazing, however I ordered a pasta without chicken that is typically served with chicken. When the bill came I noticed I was charged full price for the pasta, so I asked about removing the cost of chicken which is typically done at the Yorkville location. The manager and waitress both said the head chef said to charge full price so we have to charge full price . Not to mention, as we were trying to pay our waitress, she dropped off the machine and walked away. We were having difficulties with the payment as well and she did not return in a reasonable amount of time so we had to be assisted by the manager. I would not recommend this location. I mainly dine at the Yorkville location as I previously mentioned and have never had a negative experience; the manager and staff are much kinder and personable. Additionally, as we were leaving the restaurant, we also heard other customers commenting on the poor service. Vegetarian options: Charged for chicken although I got a pasta and removed the chicken.
If it werent for how lovely our server was this place would have gotten a one star. I have been here many times and this last experience was just terrible. Again our server was amazing. But the food was just bad. The octopus was cold tough and dry inedible honestly. The polenta was fine at best and the food took an hour to arrive to the table.
Great food and amazing attentive service! They have a pizza special on Tuesdays and pasta special on Wednesdays. The portion sizes were generous, and quality was evident! Need to go back to try their other dishes! Polenta fries looked amazing, but didnt order this time. Dietary restrictions: Very attentive staff, making sure no cross contamination of allergens
Amazing customer service as our waiter was attentive and always checked in with us. The $15 pasta wednesday deal is great as we got to try their delicious pastas for a great price. The vibe of the restaurant was lively, making it the perfect date night spot.
Overrated. No smiles. Poor service. Waiter goes missing.
We had a gathering of approximately 12 people. Unfortunately, the service we received was lacking. Our water and soda glasses were often empty, and it was challenging to get the attention of the serving staff. To make matters worse, I ordered the short rib, and when asked how it was, I honestly expressed that it was quite unappetizing. Regrettably, the server did not offer to replace it with a more satisfactory dish. Both my friend and I found the sauce to be peculiar. The server attempted to justify it as the beef sauce, but we could not agree. The calamari was average but excessively salty. The pizza, however, was the sole redeeming dish of the evening. Given our experience, it is unlikely that we will return to this establishment. I think because they automatically put a 20% tip, which they tax on top of it, and it is illegal to tax tip to the client in Ontario (legislation is one google click away), anyways I think thats why the service was awful. They dont have to try to earn it. I would have tipped 0 dollars if I had a choice. Nothing about it was memorable or pleasant to expect a 20% tip.
Loved the vibe of the place . We had $15 pasta on Wednesday and it was not a bad deal for two people
The service at this location was good, the staff were attentive and answered all questions we had regarding the menu. We ordered 2 mains, including the seafood pasta. The pasta was cold and underseasoned, which was very disappointing considering the price.
An all-round great place to go with friends for a well prepared Italian meal. The menu offers plenty of appetizers as wall as a comprehensive selection of pastas, pizzas and a good choice of more serious Italian fare. Friendly service and knowledgeable wait staff make the evening most enjoyable. Check the website for the daily pasta and wine specials!
The best place ever The food and the service is ON TOP
It s fantastic I love Abel
Service was awesome shout out to Abel
Thank you for the great service Abel.
Came here for a dinner with friends, Abel made us feel very welcomed and helped make dinner smooth and enjoyable. Definitely recommend!
Abels service was great, and the food was delicious!
Food was amazing I had the seafood linguine.
Excellent Pizza, Great service!
Great great service!
Average experience overall. The sauce for the orechiette was pretty watery, pizza dough was somewhat undercooked, calamari wasnt really fresh. The servers were nice but really need training. I would not return to this location as I have seen the reviews about the service and it is abundantly clear that management oddly hasnt addressed improving it at all
Beautiful restaurant. Our server Andrew was AMAZING. Friendly, funny, always filling our water glasses. Food needs a bit of work. Italian food is so full of flavour yet my pasta dish was very blah.
Great service by andrew very professional and made some great menu suggestion. Food was amazing and very fresh. Wine selection could improve nothing really special or super high end. Went with the cibo ale which was very nice.
The food was good but. Don t really know how to say this nicely but this place applies gratuities on tax as well. So on every bill they are getting extra 1-4$ free. When called out on this mistake the servicer argued about how the company works. Bottom line not right this is fraud. Be aware.
Well, what do I say? Drinks were good but my drink was forgotten. Food was great but main course came when our appetizer plates were still on the table. Dessert was given and no coffee was even offered until after it was finished. Then at the end, our bill came with tip added on top of the taxed amount. Which means that the tip amount was ridiculous. When we addressed this, an explanation was given which suggested that this company deals fraudulently with its customers. Not right!
Food was excellent, if a bit small on portion size. Service was.... meh. Not bad but not great. Waiter was not very attentive and slow. What really got me was at the end when they bought our bill. First they charge an automatic 20% for groups over 6. In principal, I dont have a problem with this although 29% is a bit steep. However, this is not written anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant. But the second issue was more grave. They charge that 20% on top of the tax! When we mentioned it, the manager said it is a company policy, that they cant change the system. This may or may not be legal (Im not a lawyer), but its definitely scamming their patrons. Worse, he said that the service staff would have to pay back out of their pocket if the 20% tip was short. This is not a fair way to deal with service employees who generally work hard. The company is scamming their patrons and screwing their staff. I really wanted to like this place but I cannot in good conscious support this predatory corporate behaviour.
Lobster ravioli is amazing
Came here for the Summerlicious menu. 3 course prix-fixe menu, price isn t bad but portions are very small. Food was good.
Fantastic Experience! Service was attentive and gorgeous ( inside joke to our waiteess!). Totally recommend the Arancini, Braised Beef (which should be called Cant pick up with my fork cause its soooo tender) and Tiramisu. Totally coming back to check out thier Thursday Social.
The ambience is amazing and their customer service is great . They offer fine dine experience. Nice place to go out with friends or for some special occasion. Vegetarian options: They have less veg options but I like their avocado sandwich
Friends say its a nice place. But we didnt have time to visit
Came here with Groupon $70. So, I have to spend over $70 to utilize it. The salmon is an average and the service is a bit slow. I was sitting over 15 minutes before getting served. Overall, it is an average, and no need to buy Groupon. Just come for the food and wine, and maybe even cheaper. Parking: There is a paid parking garage located at 2401 Yonge Street. Come after 6pm to get a flat rate $5.
We have eaten at a number of Italian places near Yonge and Eglinton and Cibo is a cut above the others. Very good list of wines by the glass, with some serious choices. The beef slices in the carpaccio appetizer paired with a arugula and Parmesan salad that made just a terrific combination. Bread cost extra, and is well worth it. Grilled focaccia with spicy olives and red pepper sides. Both our pasta, dishes from the homemade side of the pasta list were very well prepared and delicious. The service was pleasant and professional. Eight times out of 10 when a server takes away my fork with my appetizer plate, no one brings me a new fork with my main course and I have to ask for one. But not here. Very pleasant ambience. But the restroom is down a flight of dark stairs.
Our waitress Nancy was very friendly and helpful. She knew her stuff regarding cocktails! Was a great experience.
It was my first time at Cibo! Loved it!
Carbonara and pizza was good
Really great experience celebrating a birthday. We shared appies, main courses and I dulged in a couple of desserts. Service is swift, food is well portioned and ambiance is medium level noise. Family friendly, small patio in front and a special area upstairs you can reserve. Parking can be tough to find.
Good food and wine, but very expensive for what you get. The decor and lighting felt a bit artificial/corporate to me.
So fun! Daniel is the best bartender ever!!
food was great and our server pietro was lovely, definitely recommend this place!!
Our server (pietro) and food was amazing! Came here for a small group for a bday dinner, soooo good!
Great atmosphere, fast service and amazing food. pietro our server was very friendly. will definitely be coming back !!
Amazing food and service, would highly recommend 10/10
Nancy and Andrew have been an absolute delight! Will come here anytime that they are serving and bartending. Food was excellent and bottomless mimosas with these two is well worth it. Thanks CIBO, Nancy and Andrew!
Seating was spacious and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes. Would recommend the lobster ravioli and the fried calamari. The calzone crust and filling was tasty (the ends were a bit too doughy). But will definitely be back to try their other pasta dishes
Slow service Would not recommend the salmon. Smallest serving of fish I ve ever seen (half a normal portion) Food
Food was great and lovely service and atmosphere
Lobster ravioli was heavy and was average. The pizzas were pretty good. Venue was spacious and ambient. Service was average.
Attended a 20th anniversary celebration of 2 dental offices and it was an amazing sit-down dining setup. Designated space at their basement, easily accomodated 50 people and still spacious for more. Food were great! Tons of food as seen on the menu. Staff were attentive and were constantly going around. Definitely recommended for functions.
The food was so good
Amazing food. Highly recommend the Orecchietta and the pizzas.
Went their last night for Dinner. The waiter did not pay any attention to our table. We never were told that if you would like bread at your table, then there will be an additional charge or 3$ I ordered the Lobster Ravioli, tbh it was horrible. Dry, bitter, over cooked Raviolis. I tried to return it but again the waiter was not attentive at all. So I just decided to pay and leave. Over all the food is mediocre and the service is horrible. This is more of a high-end pizza joint good for lunch I guess. I would not recommend this place for anything else. I rate this place a 1 on a scale or 1-10.
Very cool place. Texas feel. Big space. Great service, even better food. 5/5
It was awesome !
this was awesome
got the strawberry fields cocktail and the gnocchi, it was an excellent meal!!
Food and drinks were awesome! Thank you Abiel for your great service!
The food and drinks were amazing. Really great atmosphere. Abiel provided great service.
Delicious food and our waiter Abiel was very kind and helpful!
A go-to in the neighbourhood. Great food and a wonderful staff each time.
Good food and great service
Food was great staff were nice it was a nice spot will sure visit more Food
Parking: No Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yrs
The food and atmosphere were great but the service was impeccable. Our server was Marina. Her service was on point all evening. She serves her guests with techniques that are seen at fine dining restaurants. My husband and I were very impressed. Thank you Marina for your perfect service throughout the evening!
The ambience, service and cocktails were amazing! The food were not spicy enough for my taste bud but I feel like it will be described as delicious by someone else Food
My family and I had a fantastic experience at Cibo and felt we needed to make it known! The food was exceptional, authentic Italian cuisine at its finest. What made our evening even more enjoyable was our server, Maja. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations for each course. Her warm and welcoming demeanor really added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. From ensuring our water glasses were never empty to understanding the importance of our dietary restrictions, Maja was a fantastic ambassador for Cibo and if you re ever visiting, do yourself a favour and ask to be in her section. We highly recommend Cibo for anyone looking for delicious Italian food served with a smile!
We went on a weekday for an early dinner to celebrate my friend s birthday, and the entire waitstaff were very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy, perfectly lit, open and relaxing. Food came out quickly and everything tasted delicious! Grilled octopus is moist, tender and charred perfectly, polenta fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, gorgonzola dip was creamy and flavourful, and the baked eggplant was gooey and tasted heavenly. They also brought us a tiramisu cake with a candle on for the birthday girl, and tiramisu had a fantastic in-depth flavour profile, which balanced harmoniously with creamy sweetness and the coffee s delicate bitterness. We had such a wonderful time and can t wait to come back and try more dishes!
Did not enjoy chicken pesto pizza. Chicken dry. Pizza dough and crust mediocre. Pesto oily.
At here last night with my family....pastas were great, service was good....vibe was nice.
Our server was very nice and polite. Unfortunately, I found our food to be average and overpriced.
Lovely spot for a few drinks
$24 caesar salad with old lettus, fake parmesan, and frozen chicken. disappointing. I used to like this place.
Kid-friendliness: Many options Food
Food was great and tasty. Really poor service, we saw our server once in the entire night just to handle the bill. Great atmosphere in the heart of midtown. Other locations service is way different.
Andre and Abiel have been amazing service tonight. Our friends birthday was so fantastic and we all had the best time.
Nadine and the other servers are great, Attentive and kind but the manager named MAYA needs to learn a thing or two about Customer service and keeping returning customers satisfied. ( head manager or owner should take notice!) She s totally arrogant and ruined my date night with her rude attitude and penny pinching ways! I will not return on tuesdays anymore to avoid her and her toxic attitude !
I love the ambience of cibo. The service is great. Cocktails are not great, do not get the gin cocktail. Food is very bland. Overpriced but nice hang out spot.
Abiel was a great waiter and very friendly! He consistently ensured we were happy with our food and drinks. The food was also very great. I had a San Giorgio pizza and Present Tense (non-alcoholic) drink.. I highly recommend.
Great Service! We had server Abiel!!
I had such a great experience and the ambiance was amazing! Our server Abiel was fantastic!!
Bottomless mimosas was so worth it! Service was fantastic
The food was amazing and had bottomless mamosas that was well worth it, the price for everything was amazing. The service was great, they were always coming to check that we were good and needed anything else. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Nadine and Daniel are the greatest! Making sure I m happy and hydrated
Cibo is always a great spot in Midtown. Come for some delicious food and stay for the great service. Ask for Daniel & Nadine they will always take good care of you.
I had such a great experience here with some friends - thanks to our server, Daniel. He was so kind, knew the menu front to back, and genuinely enjoyed our company as he dealt with our silly jokes and over the top enthusiasm. Nadine was also a great addition to the energy here and was so very kind to our table the entire night. Highly recommend this spot because of these two employees.
Danial is amazing!! Nadine is amazing!! Everyone here IS AMAAAAAZZZINGGGGGG! Come here and eat and have fun with friends and have great service! You won t regret it
Food and service was amazing!!
went for brunch the food was amazing and even better service!! the drinks were strong and delicious and the food was fresh and yummy
The food was delicious, the drinks were strong, and Abiel was a wonderful accommodating waiter :)
The Espresso Martinis are amazing. Our server Abiel was super nice and helpful! Such a cute vibe in this place and its easy to get to from Eglinton!
Cibo is a beautiful restaurant and a lovely place to eat with amazing food, service, and scenery. Our server Abiel was kind and efficient and very lovely.
Celebrated my birthday here with friends. Our server Abiel created such a welcoming environment for us.
our server abiel was great!
OuThe server Andrew was the best!
Great service and super flavourful food :)
Really amazing and friendly staff. Food was amazing as well!
One of my favourite places to get Italian in Toronto! Food is fantastic (I love their beef carpaccio and grilled octopus) but my favourite part of coming here is the people that work here. Always super friendly. I want to give a special shoutout to Marina! I ve always had a great experience here, but she went above and beyond. Great vibe. Made my visit extra special. Love it here. Thank you Cibo!
Amazing service, super cute place
Incredible service! Sparkling peach sangria is insane!
CIBO is fantastic The staff are welcoming, friendly They took the time to respond to my questions about the menu and my preferences. The energy and environment is clean and spacious. Thank you for having me CIBO
Visited the Yonge location tonight - this place was intimate and cozy. Our server Marina was a pleasure! She was helpful, attentive and provided some great recommendations on drinks and food. The manager Chris was a delight to deal with. He is welcoming with a great attitude. The customer service skills of the staff was excellent. Food was delicious and plentiful. Had the steak (cooked to perfection), lemon ricotta cheese cake and ended with cappuccino with Kahula (served with biscotti) - everything was so tasty and delicious. Excited for me next visit. Dietary restrictions: Server asks if there are dietary restrictions whenever you order a dish. Kid-friendliness: Spacious space with booths.
Excellent service and food, all the staff are very friendly
Thanks Chris for the great service!
Food was good but we waited over an hour just for a simple pasta Parking was easy, and the restaurant wasn t too busy. Food
Zero pictures of the food because as soon as it hit our table, we inhaled it. Completely forgetting to even snap a shot!!!!! My husband and I have been to Italy multiple times and we come to Cibo to be reminded of the taste and quality of the food overseas. I love arancini so I am always on the hunt for a good one in Toronto. The ones here are brilliant. Deliciously meaty sauce and oozing with fresh mozzarella cheese. The focaccia is so soft, warm and fresh it practically melts in your mouth and the olive oil tastes like crushed olives. The first time we went we got pasta: carbonara and the braised beef mushroom ravioli. Incredible. While we were eating, we caught a whiff of the pizza as it was being run by our table. We vowed we would come back just for the pizza. The second time we went, we had the Di Nicolino and San Giorgio pizzas with fior di latte. You know the restaurant is a good one when they serve fior di latte!!! The crust was perfection and the toppings are so fresh. We also had to try the penne alla vodka and my husband who admittedly gets pasta d out very easily truly devoured the dish. It was savoury, creamy and the pancetta was perfectly crisp and generous. A perfect way to outrageously satisfy that nice bowl of pasta craving. Desserts and cappuccinos don t let this perfect experience down one bit. In any general cheesecake recipe, you always add a little bit of lemon because it goes so well with the creaminess of the cake. So what if you made the cheesecake with fresh Italian cheese and flavoured it only with lemon juice and zest?? Probably the best tasting cheesecake ever right? They serve that here!!! Omg so decadent. The tiramisu is also great for a little pick me up ;) But above all, the reason we come back is for the service. Every single person who works at this establishment walks as if they are wearing a crown. When you are their guest, you are honoured with warmth, caring attention and upscale thoroughness. As soon as the empty glass hit the table, our server Kelsey was at our side to offer another. The hostesses greeting us and any server that runs the food to our tables is gracious and kind. But above all, management deserves a real prize. The way that Brent made us feel part of the family and how he tended to our every need so generously, made us guests for life. We will forever visit Cibo Yonge street thanks to their wonderful team!!! 11/10, RUN don t walk!!!
The atmosphere is nice and the service was great. Food and wine is a bit pricey but overall we were satisfied.
Food presentation and taste were great. Waitress was really nice, but we had to wait for awhile in between orders for her to come back to our table.
Great food and great service!
Nadine was a great server and the food was amazing. Would definitely come back
Great venue with a beautiful open space! The staff is very friendly and the food is very delicious and presented with utmost care. I really appreciated the service from Nadine and Marina, their knowledge of wines helped me find a new favorite: Ben Marco Malbec. I would highly recommend this location to any food enthusiast looking to expand their palate, have a great time and enjoy great service. Thank you again - will definitely be back soon!
Wonderful service!
The staff at Cibo Wine Bar Yonge st we re fantastic, i couldn t be happier with my service and food! I will definitely be back, the staff helped with food and wine pairings. Nadine, Maja and Andrew were fantastic! I definitely recommend the fried zucchini and artichoke and the orecchiette with the borolo was a wonderful suggestion from Maja! Dietary restrictions: Staff was knowledgeable on gluten allergies and was very helpful and accommodating!
I had a great night in this place. Andrew nailed it with his wine recommendations and Marina was incredibly attentive to us. Definitely will come back to try the pizza. Thanks guys.
Nadine was so attentive and amazing at what she does!
The staff that provided the service to us was really nice and attentive. We don t give the five starts only because of two things for a long period of time we are ignoring at our table and we need the menu to ordered the next course. Fortunately time after someone comes and very nicely we are attending. Secondly our octopus was very very hard and chewy but is the only thing on the menu I didn t enjoyed. Our server Andrew was very nice and recommend a really good wine that makes our dinner the great combination ! I don t really like the tiramisu but I like the cheese cake. The lobster ravioles was delicious. Marina also attend our table this night and she s so nice!! Thanks
Kitchen was very efficient at getting my food out quickly since me and my pregnant wife was starving. We devoured it with amazing attention from our server, Nadine. She made sure my wife had all she needed and allowed us to make substitutions to some of the menu items. It was a great date night out!
Marina was an AMAZING server !! Andrew was bussing tonight but has served us before and same excellent service. Food great. Portions very hearty. Would not hesitate to recommend this resto. Greet vibe too.
The best service and food Abel was also an amazing server
I had the most amazing experience at the CIBO Yonge location. Abel accommodated my party as we changed plans twice. He was attentive, had amazing suggestions and went above and beyond
The interior of the restaurant was much more spacious than it appeared from the outside, they have second floor and basement as well. The high ceilings and the ambiance and decor inside really impressed us! The appetizers beef carpaccio, grilled octopus salad, and then The Margherita pizza and the mixed mushroom pasta with white wine cheese sauce were both so good and tasty. However, the tiramisu for dessert was a bit too sweet for us and seemed a bit different from the traditional Italian tiramisu. The coffee was average. The service was good, and overall, we really enjoyed our experiences. I definitely plan on returning when Im in the area again. This is one of the stores that I would definitely like to visit again.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and they took great care of us, letting us know what was safe or not. Nancy went above and beyond to make sure what we could eat or not and everything was delicious!!! The polenta fries alone are worth the visit! Food
Andrew is da bomb! Food was great, great atmosphere and options for different mimsosas:) great bday brunch
Great place, had a fun time! Went with a group of 4 for a birthday, right away the waitress was helpful, the service was fast and she was willing to add a bit of rapini to the pasta no questions ask. The food came fast and I dont think a single glass made it to empty the entire time, refills were quick. Now if youve read this far you are rewarded with the best part. They gave the BEST dessert platter for our friends birthday I have EVER seen. 4 full separate desserts for all of us to share. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.
Very noise place, and overpriced for food that is not past.
Place looks very nice and is very well kept. However, the food wasn t up to par for the prices, the margarita pizza was disappointing and everything else was ok to good, nothing fantastic or great. The drinks also were not great, I ordered their strawberry drink and I didn t even come close to finishing it, not a good drink. Service was great, our waiter was charismatic, nice, and attentive. Overall, for the prices I feel the food and drinks were not nearly up to par and need improvement. Service and atmosphere are great.
Exceptional food and service You will not be disappointed, a must go to place very chilled Food
Great place for date night or get together. Private space available. Food was good.
Nancy at the bar was amazing!! I recommend the gorgonzola pizza!
Food was okay wasnt the greatest but alright. Service.. it was non-existent. Gave us a menu and didnt return for 15min. We got our apps than waited another 10-15 min to get a hold of our waitress to order mains. Desert was the best gellato. The male server who overheard our frustration came to our attention to finally get our bill after waiting another 15mins. Over all the atmosphere and dessert was the highlight of the night.
Visited the restaurant on our wedding anniversary. Cibo has the perfect ambience for such celebrations. Loved the cozy decor and lights. The food and drinks we ordered were all superb! There are plenty of options in vegetarian food. We ordered Baked Eggplant and it was beyond delicious. Foccasia bread to too good and Garlic dip is a must have with it. The drinks were good too. Hazy bullet rye and Rosemary cocktail were the best. Service is really good. Staff is very helpful. Highly recommend the place and will visit again soon.
I came for the half priced pizza special offered on Tuesdays and had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious and the server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Can t wait to come back for the special again next Tuesday!
I enjoyed mushroom pasta, but I bite small rock hard pieces of dried mushroom. I thought it was plastic pieces, but they checked with the kitchen and confirmed it dried mushroom. It hurts my tooth, but they handled this issue as nothing.. so I was sad :(
Visited Cibo for the first time, tried the Diavilo pizza. Surprisingly, it had 11 slices of salami and a handful of roasted peppers. While the taste was good, I wished the toppings were distributed more evenly; after one slice, half the toppings were gone. Consider asking for extra toppings for a more satisfying experience the extra cost is worth it for a truly delicious pizza.
The seared tuna salad was delicious. The wine pairing suggestions were on point. Superior service and friendly staff. Great experience
Ashley the Manager at this location was completely unprofessional. Brought a group of people, it was my friends birthday and Ashley with her team were absolutely disrespectful and rude. I will go beyond measures to let her District Manager know about our experience. I will never come back here .
I came to Cibo to celebrate my birthday and was impressed by the exceptional service. Our server was fantastic, and the food exceeded my expectations (especially the tiramisu!). Kudos to the whole team for swiftly handling an incident involving another patron causing a disruption, using foul language and making verbal threats towards myself and my party. I applaud their de-escalation skills in attempts to mitigate the situation, it was commendable. Despite the incident, I refused to let it overshadow a great evening.
Cibo had a good vibe and looks like a good spot to have a drink but unfortunately food wise it could be improved. I love to try carbonara but the one served werent authentic : parsley (no sir no!) and a lack a cheese made the sauce liquidy and lacking of flavors.
