Offering popular Italian fare & a lengthy wine list in a 3-level venue with modern rustic decor.
If you are hungry, DO NOT order special pasta. Those $15 dishes can’t fill up your stomach. We all finished our dishes within 10min…… Order the regular menu instead. The tiramisu is way too dry and it uses sponge cake instead of lady fingers. Not smooth enough. Also, our group was hard to find the server as we were assigned to the basement.
Enjoyed an amazing dinner here ( Yorkville location) with my daughter! The atmosphere is bustling & it was packed. This made it very loud but that’s to be expected. The food options were good & I was pleased that there were lots of vegetarian choices. We ordered the bruschetta , gnocchi , risotto , pizza & tiramisu. Everything exceeded our expectations! The staff was attentive & polite. Thank you for having 2 large mirrors in your ladies bathroom too. You know how we love our selfies. Lol. We’ll definitely return again soon.
Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos! My love for mushroom pizza is unwavering, and this place is no exception. The roasted mushrooms on top are a burst of earthy umami, accentuated with a drizzle of truffle oil and the richness of the fontina cheese. Combined with a crispy crust and beautifully charred undercarriage, it certainly reinforces my addiction/love for this pizza. I was not disappointed in choosing the lobster ravioli, made with a wonderfully seasoned lobster filling that has a delicious sweet and umami seafood aroma, each bite completed with a creamy lemon sauce.
A great spot for lazy Sundays! Prices are very reasonable. We had the steak and tagliatelle bolognese, food was very good. The vibe was very cozy and nice. Our server Oliva was very welcoming and kind. Next time I wanna try their pizza :)
Nice Italian restaurant at the heart of Yorkville. Highly recommended. Olivia was a great server. She gives good attention to details and follow up with each dishes. Update: We came back many times but I was disappointed this time because unfortunately tasted a lot of sands from the mussels that we ordered. The waitress did apologized but hasn’t done anything to fix it. It makes me feel like they kind of ignoring the situation. So as the result I’d give a 2 stars.
Just dined-in a few hours ago and oh boy, it wasn't a good experience. For the food and atmosphere, they were great. The only reason why it isn't a one star is because of that. Got the Fontina Rigatoni and my friend got the Rigatoni with the rose sauce, we also got the Focaccia. We also shared the Chocolate Baci Bombe. All the food was delicious, but I think the way we were treated just spoiled everything. The host was friendly and welcoming, but that's the only nice thing I can say for the staff. The service was less than ideal. Our server took a while to give us menus firstly and never checked-in frequently, and only refilled our water once during our stay. She never came by to offer dessert when we were done with our mains. It was the bartender that did it and even he didn't do a good job when he essentially took over our table when our server disappeared. At one point, he went to refill our water, but got sidetracked because he was busy talking and gossiping with OUR SERVER. My friend and I were just frustrated by this. I know that restaurants will have dead periods and that was currently happening as they were approximately five other tables besides us, but I just can't help but feel neglected during my visit here. I was disappointed as I've been to the Cibo on King West and their service was amazing and attentive despite it being twice as busy. And for a place that sits in the middle of a fancy neighbourhood like Yorkville, I thought it would've been better, but I guess not.
This was our first visit to CIBO. Me and my wife were there to celebrate my birthday and we had an amazing time. The staff is amazing and did go the extra mile to ensure we were happy and satisfied. We were served by Mehrdad who was great in helping us with recommendations. Though there are not too many vegetarian options, the few options were still enough to make us visit this place again.
If you’re ever at yorkville looking for a great happy hour spot, come here! Cant beat the prices CIBO SOCIALE is every Thursday 4-7pm 50% off wine (glass and bottles) & $8 items: Polenta Fries Polpettine Arancini Bruschetta Fried zucchini + artichokes Margherita Pizza A Napoli Pizza Tried almost everything! Will definitely be back!
We enjoyed a holiday get together. Brisket was excellent.
Great deal on Wednesdays w only 15$ pasta! When the server gave us the machine, it was automatically at 20% tip, which we did not expect or appreciate.
Really great service - it has been a while since I ve had such good service. And food was excellent.
Extremely disappointed with the service. The food was cold, the waitstaff was inattentive, and Im not sure what happened this place used to be great.
My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and I swear the pepperoni was off My daughter s gnocchi was not homemade. My kids ordered gelato and it came like soup. I recognize cibo isn t a kids restaurant but the waitress was cold and rude and wouldn t make any accommodations
nice apps and pasta!
The food was good but not phenomenal or worth the steep prices. Pizza was okay but on the too salty end of things. Service was almost nonexistent and from the moment we were tabled felt resentful of us. Maybe it was an off night, but the restaurant was almost empty and the waitstaff took 50 minutes (we timed it) to bring us our cheque after we asked for it. The bruschetta was delicious though.
Delicious pizza! Always great service.
Great food and service. Was a bit loud for conversation.
Great Italian restaurant delicious food high-quality service great location you can t go wrong. Highly recommended.
They have a great happy hour menu from 10pm until closing time, but we had to order showing the menu on our phone because they never informed about it on site. The pizza was delicious!
Despite the cute atmosphere, the pasta was overcooked and lacked seasoning. The pizza was slightly better, but the tiramisu was very dry. If youre looking to have drinks and fun with friends, its okay, but if you want authentic Italian food, you should go somewhere else. We went last Wednesday and our server was okay, but she was a bit sarcastic with one of our friends, and she never checked if we liked the food after it was served. Overall, the experience was just average.
We had an amazing dining experience at Cibo! We started with the grilled octopus and a few other appetizers, all of which were fresh and full of flavor. For the main course, we ordered the beef short ribs ravioli and the seafood linguine both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The pasta was rich and flavorful, and the seafood was fresh. To top it off, we each had a shot of Hennessy and peach sangrias. The drinks were the perfect complement to the meal. Overall, the service was great, the atmosphere was warm, and the food was incredible. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately, my experience at Cibo was disappointing due to the poor service. Despite the promising menu, the service was inattentive and slow. We were surprised when they told us the couldnt split the bills even when on the phone they said it was ok. After we closed the bill and opened a new one for drinks only, we struggled to get our server s attention, and even basic requests felt like a hassle. We had to talk to the manager and he finally solved the issue. It was a frustrating experience, and I expected better for the price and reputation. The cherry on top was the unpleasant smell coming from the restrooms and the multiple flies on the wall that accompanied us during the whole night. Not returning given how many other great spots are available in the area.
My friends and I went to CIBO for the first time last night, and unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience. Firstly, we were told the wrong amount regarding the gratuity (18%), and then later was told 20%. The staff brought the manager over to hopefully provide some clarity, and he also insisted that he told us 20%, not 18%. It was very unlikely that the entire table heard the wrong percentage, but her was very rude and persistent that he told us 20%. Secondly, we asked to pay separately and that apparently wasn t possible. Which we were not told that in the beginning. Through many discussions back and forth, our group just decided to pay the full bill and split it amongst ourselves later. In the midst of that decision, the manager came back and had the audacity to say to us the bill isn t event that much , it was over $350.00. We were extremely appalled and taken aback by his complete disrespect and insensitivity. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was a horrendous experience.
Great location and food was good (I wished they had gluten free pizza dough as well). We had a good time there, thanks to Olivia for such great service!!! Food
Great Service and nice atmosphere but mediocre food in my opinion. Nothing stood out or was remarkable. Most items solid/ok but not well seasoned. Some items taste like they arent made fresh (for example parmesan chicken, dips for polenta sticks).
Very disappointed, would not recommend. Staff was rude, manager refused to help me and mockingly told me he was sorry. Worst restaurant experience ever.
I recently visited Cibo restaurant for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and daughter, and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. From the moment we sat down, our experience was lackluster at best. Our server made us wait before even taking our initial order, which set the tone for the evening. Throughout our meal, the server Olivia never came back to check if we were enjoying our food, offer us water, or ask if we needed more drinks. We finished eating and still waited for her to come by, but she was nowhere to be found. We eventually had to wave her down just to order more food, only to be ignored again afterward. When it was time for dessert, we had to call her over to bring the cake, and even then, she didn t bother asking if we wanted coffee or tea. She dropped the dessert off and left before we had a chance to request anything else. The inattentiveness and lack of basic courtesy made the dinner feel frustrating and ruined what was meant to be a special night. It was disappointing to experience such poor service, especially on a night that was supposed to be memorable for positive reasons.
mediocre food, there are fruit flies all over the restaurant
Kind of disappointing for Yorkville. Popped in for a quick drink. Server didn t see us for 10 minutes. It took 10 minutes to bring a can of Guinness and a glass of wine. Server didn t even open the can or poor the beer. He also took 2 trips to carry our 2 drinks and a beer glass rather than just using a tray.
We stopped by for drinks after dinner. We were not greeted warmly by the hostess. She seemed put out that we were 3 people and she had to move 2 tables together. Then we waited more than 10 minutes for the bar tender to come to the table. We saw 3 of them standing behind the bar, looking at us. They were standing. Not making drinks or serving people. Eventually one came over and took our order. Then we waited at least 15 minutes for a glass of wine, can of Guinness and a cocktail. The drinks were good. Until I realized my glass was very dirty compared to the glass the Guinness was in. We totally would not go back. Can t imagine what the service would be like if it was busy.
Terrible service. Waiter immediately tried to upsell by only offering sparkling water. The food to ages and drinks were finished by the time the food got there. We kept having to flag down the waiter to ask for water. It felt like they were taking long on purpose so that we couldn t order off the happy hour menu anymore.
mid service, bad food. Tried all the signature food, they all tasted like garbage
What a shell of its former south
Walked in without reservation, host was kind and provided us with available options for dining. Initial interaction with the server almost made us feel like leaving the place. Rude and arrogant. Incorrectly told us only 2 of their pasta dishes were vegetarian. We ordered based on our friends recommendation. Once the food was served the other server did refill water more than a couple of times. But because of our initial negative interaction with the main server our whole experience toppled down. Comparing this location to the King W would be an insult to the nice staff over there. Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options. Research before you go in as the servers are impatient and not interested in helping.
I wish I could rate this place a zero. My friends and I went in at 9:30 pm and immediately asked the waiter to take our order, however he asked to wait. 15 minutes later we placed our order, after 30 minutes, the waiter let us know that the kitchen had closed right when we entered the restaurant and he didn t know about it! As we were entering, we saw the people who had entered with us had received their order although apparently the kitchen was closed ! The waiter even asked us to leave a review for him, the audacity! Horrible, horrible service.
I entered the restaurant with my sisters around 930pm and we placed our order for BOTH food and drinks BEFORE 10pm. At 1015pm, a server came to us and told us that the kitchen has closed and they can t give us our food. We order 10-15 minutes before 10pm and the restaurant opening hours were until 11pm. We requested to have our drinks for free - to which they responded: that s fine but please leave us a good review on open table . That s completely unacceptable. So we left and came to a wonderful restaurant called Vaticano where the lady was WONDERFUL and THE FOOD WAS YUM (cause there was food) .. Please keep in mind I LOVE CIBOS FOOD. So I m very disappointed that they were literally hiding from us and didnt have anything else to say. Keep in mind we were starving. :(
AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE. We went on September 6th at 9pm and our waiter made us wait for 30 mins before taking our order. He took our drinks order and we asked to order food because we were starving and he made us wait even longer. Then finally took our order and 30 MORE MINUTES LATER TOLD US THE KITCHEN WAS CLOSED and they would not be able to serve us the food we ordered AN HOUR AGO. He then told us he would comp our drinks if we left a good review on Open Table. THE NERVE ON THIS MAN. Absolute GARBAGE service. DO NOT GO HERE. We sat for an hour and left without food. They ll do it to you too if you go here. Go to Vaticano Yorkville instead they are so sweet and accommodating and the food is much better. Oh and the other group we entered at the same time as had finished their meal before we could even order.
Cibo had the best bruschetta I ve ever had, and they let me bring my dog on the patio, which was a great bonus!! I ll definitely be back.
I have been coming to CIBO Wine Bar since it opened at 133 Yorkville. This place has hosted other restaurants in the past but I have to say CIBO has captured the essence of Italian dining and food, (CIBO in Italian means food - so it s a perfect translation). A couple of weeks ago a coworker and myself went to CIBO for polenta fries, pizza and a couple of glasses of wine - Christian transported us to Italy and the service was out of this world!! The food is authentically Italian and when I went by earlier today I saw the chef actually making pasta downstairs - doesn t get any more fresh than that!! I have had the pleasure of dealing with their manager, Mirko, and he has been extremely hospitable and accommodating with our business requests. The two private dining rooms downstairs are incredible for meetings and events where you require a little privacy and top notch service is a standard! They have a patio outside to enjoy the summer weather in Yorkville and it s conveniently located in the heart of this trendy, fashionable and culinary epicentre. Whether you re a local or visiting Toronto, if you want to experience really great tasting Italian food in an atmosphere that resembles an eatery in the Mediterranean, CIBO Wine Bar has my highest recommendation. Update October, 2024. If there is a business meeting or someone we want to feel pampered with customer service we go to CIBO, both Yorkville and King Street locations. Sean and Steve had their wedding dinner at the King Street location, Chef Amit and his team made their night extra special - huge thank you! This past weekend Tami visited and we celebrated my birthday at CIBO again, next level and hospitality PLUS. We had the polenta fries OMG - best ever, we both agreed! Split the chicken, mushroom (porcini) fusilli - delicious!! Mmm I ll order it again. The birthday cake was a decadent treat and worth every wish! Incredible to be treated so friendly by the whole team, always pleasant and authentic. Thank you for making my b-day extra sweet!! . Our choice of restaurants for this birthday celebration was also unanimously, CIBO. Vegetarian options: Polenta fries!! The best we ve ever had that night! Amazing (marinara sauce was
Good vibe, they brought us a LOT of food before even starting diner. Would recommend
I went to Cibo to celebrate a friend s birthday and we were dealt with the worst service ever. I have come here multiple times however this one is my reasoning to never coming back. Firstly , we were rushed and cut off when speaking by our server Olivia As-Har. Secondly only 3 out of our group of 7 had their food, the rest of the group had to wait 45 mins for their food and we couldn t even get accountability on there part maybe a sorry would be nice. I never heard a restaurant do this in my life, they almost made it feel like we were the problem. Also food is alright, other places in Yorkville I prefer. However our server Olivia was either out to lunch or drunk.
Food and service was great. Place is gorgeous. Great night
The food is so perfect it s a shame the service is so bad, they get your order wrong regularly and often bring you random dishes that are meant for other tables asking if it s yours
Great lunch, Mushroom Risotto and Fettucine. Warm bread to start ..all good.
The food was incredible and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. Our server Olivia was quick and very friendly. If you like authentic pizza this is a go-to spot.
Id give 5 stars for the quality of the food, but I walked out of there hungry after having their seared tuna special.
First time at CIBO our server Olivia As-har was amazing and quite attentive. Would definitely come back next time we re in the area.
An upscale, spacious Italian restaurant with an authentic taste of Italy. The food was amazing, especially the flavorful tagliatelle pasta. The kind and attentive staff made the experience even better. A great spot for Italian cuisine!
TL;DR: A server raised his voice at me over a minor issue, and Cibo ignored my follow-up message. During my visit, the server aggressively demanded my ID when I ordered wine. When I explained I only had my health card, he rudely cut me off and raised his voice, which I found both disrespectful and unprofessional. This made me feel uncomfortable and undervalued as a customer. I understand that not being able to offer alcohol due to an invalid ID is standard policy, and I respect that. However, what I found disappointing was being condescendingly lectured (aka MANSPLAINED) about the law. To make matters worse, no alternatives (i.e, non-alcoholic drinks) were offered, and other tables (coincidentally white customers) received far better service from the SAME server. Additionally, he gave us the wrong dish initially and did not apologize. He did not offer pepper/cheese or check in with us throughout our meal . Meanwhile, he was so friendly with the other tables. Given my previous positive experiences at Cibo, this was incredibly disappointing and the worst service Ive ever encountered.
The service was first rate. Prices have gone from fair to off-the-chart. The room looks run down.
The food was quite good. The funghi could have come with some bread or crackers on the side.. Just on its own did not really work. They seemed to be a bit short staffed. Food : 4/5
Aug 2025: brunch menu: had the braised short ribs and egg, plus tiramisu. Early. Feedback: the braised short ribs was quite salty I love the ambiance and the larger space to accommodate groups. I had the short rib ravioli which was delicious. For starter, the calamari was delicious. Vegetarian options: Yes available Parking: The parking garage probably your best bet
Food was good. I loved the establishment 3 years ago. But coming back it really was underwhelming. Service is worse, got our order wrong after repeating to us verbally what we got. Tagan (I think) was not apologetic and kinda just brushed it off. Only apologized for the wait for the correct dish.
Great food and service
Food was great! We have been here many times and will continue to return. Out waiter Christian was very prompt and had great customer service skills. Christian made sure that we were happy with our food and gave us such a great experience!
Very nice restaurant in good location , friendly staff and so delicious food.
Great ambiance, super waiter Yummy pasta Really good wine Food : 5/5
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Just great!
Deepak was amazing!
King st location is certainly better food wise.
Great evening out with a girlfriend to grab the last of summer patio season. Food was great as was the atmosphere, we asked for help with the wine menu, it was spot on. Great visit
Food was fresh and tasty and our server Klaudia was perfectly attentive. Always a good experience at Cibo, Yorkville!
Our server was Klaudia, who was very nice and friendly. We had Gnocchi, Pastas, and breaded chicken. The food was good and the atmosphere very vibrant. Thanks Klaudia and Cibo, for the lovely evening!
Such a great place!
Incredible dining experience from start to finish! Everything was exceptional, from the warm, freshly baked bread to the perfectly cooked meats and the extensive wine list. The braised short rib was a standout melt-in-your-mouth tender with rich, deep flavors that were unforgettable. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable meal!
The service and food here were outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, which made for an incredible dining experience. Our server, Jacopo, was wonderful. He steered us in the right direction for both drinks and dinner choices. We shared the radicchio and endive salad as a starter, and for the main course my husband had the chianti braised short ribs and I had the pappardelle with lamb ragu, perfectly paired with a wonderful bottle of chianti that our server recommended. We finished with the chocolate baci bomb for dessert. Everything was fantastic, overall a wonderful dining experience.
Whether youre on a date or catching up with friends, The Cibo Wine Bar provides a sophisticated yet relaxed environment. It s a spot where you can savor great wine and enjoy excellent company.
It s quite good place for wine lovers, i personally recommend. Their service and hospitality are outstanding. I would love to go again
The best spot in Yorkville to go with your family!
We visited Cibo Yorkville for a friends birthday, expecting a great experience, but it fell short. Our server was rude, blaming her attitude on being tired from a long shift. The food was bland and lacked flavor. We expected much better.
Perfect food and service from tarang Restaurant looks very good and would definitely come back here when visiting Toronto again. Food
Amazing food and service
Amazing food, ambiance and service. Highly recommend
The funghi pizza was delicious
Great atmo during the weekend
Tej is the best waiter in all of Toronto! GOAT Italian spot
Tej is an absolute legend, food came out mint and came out fast
Amazing service and food. Shoutout to jacopo
Great place, amazing food. Probably one of the best pizzas I ve had and the desserts are amazing.
Jacopo had the best service and was very helpful. Recommended the pizzas and tiramisu
Great pizza
Michaela was an incredible sever kind friendly and amenable This was our second meal in two days. Thank you. melissa
The best Chicken Parmigiana in Toronto.
Cibo Wine Bar has excellent Italian food and a really good selection of world class wines. Cibo employees are very attentive, and management pays attention to detail. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Great atmosphere, service was friendly and food was well cooked and tasty
Enjoyable atmosphere and really delicious food. Definitely recommend!
Great food and atmosphere, the servers were very friendly
The food and service were incredible! Our server, Christian, was amazing!!
We had the pizza with Parma ham, a glass of Montepulciano and a glass of Peroni beer. All were good quality. Atmosphere was superb! Our ambassador was Massi, he has been super helpful, giving great recommendations for food and drink. I will certainly come back as there are various promotions each day!
Great food. Excellent service.
Christian was our server and he was just impeccable. He helped us clear any doubts with regards to the offerings on the menu and helped us understand what would be best for our palette that evening. Super down to earth dude and I look forward to coming back
Last night was absolutely stellar! I celebrated my birthday with my family at Cibo, the atmosphere was just amazing. The food was so good and service was even better. Thanks to our server Olivia for her exceptional service through out the night. Will def come back
Disappointing brunch! On a special day. Service was slow from start to finish. After coffee arrived, we waited another ten minutes to order. (Interesting coffee cup?) Food was warm not hot, likely not ran to the table right away. Asked the food runner for a condiment, which never came. No quality checks done, by server or manager. Had to ask support staff for bill, and a different support staff brought bill and machine for payment. Never saw our server after drinks were dropped. Working in hospitality, I can t even count how many touch points were missed during our visit. Didn t want to post the review, as I was going to email the restaurant directly but website has no contact information.
We arrived late on Sunday night and the kitchen was almost closed. The manager Jacopo and the server Tej were very kind, they sat us down anyway making us feel very welcome and not rushed at all even though we were the last table. We had some delicious pizzas, a fantastic cocktail called Pazzo Tropicali and the best Mojito in all of Yorkville. We finished the night with a top notch Tiramisu.
Very well served and excellent food. I went with my wife and daughters and they all loved it.
The waiter Mehrdad served us very well!! Tasty food.
Had a great night food and service was on point...it was my 3rd time here.
The food and wine was great and the waiter who helped us (Mehrdad) was very friendly, welcoming and professional. He offered us a tiramisu, which was very tasty, for my birthday-a very kind act. I recommend this place! Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere safe for kids. The place is elegant and the staff are very friendly
I went there for dinner for my friends. We got pasta and the food was good. However, the service was awful. We were sitting there for about 15-20 min and had to ask for a waiter ourselves! The waiter finally came but he was very busy with other customers and didnt come to our table after we ordered the food. I asked him for water and he said ok but he left and disappeared. After 30 min, finally, I could find another waiter and asked for water. No one seemed to care that we were there and no one checked in on us. Overall, I had a really bad experience because of the terrible service.
My daughter and I had a late lunch today and ordered from their pasta Wednesday menu as well as the regular menu. First, the Caesar salad was like it had been sitting for a while, not very fresh with croutons that would chip a tooth. The daily special sandwich came with fries that were the frozen variety. The pasta was gnocchi and while it presented nicely, we both commented on the lack of flavour, it was bland and spicy at the same time. All in all we both agreed that it was like a meal at Kelsey s or whichever roadhouse restaurant you prefer. Not at all the standard expectation for Cibo. We were disappointed.
Food just avg. Leather falling apart on chairs and waitress barely came by... flag down for bill...
Tastes like fast food
My girlfriend and I treated ourselves to an amazing array of dishes, thanks to Olivias fantastic recommendations! The Veal Milanese, Carbonara Pasta, and Risotto were just delicious! The atmosphere was spot on, and the service was outstanding. Huge thanks to our server, Olivia, for her exceptional care throughout the evening. Cibo is definitely a spot I d recommend!
Came for the pizza Tuesday. Pizza was generally good, but one of them had very salty dough. Service was for the most part fast. The couch cushion in the booth needs to be replaced as it was so cracked and uncomfortable to sit on (scratchy).
The restaurant is open until later than others in the area. No problem with getting a table on a weekend evening. Nothing stood out - food tasted like it was frozen and reheated. Waitress had an indifferent attitude.
This restaurant was very welcoming by the people working especially the owner. I had amazing service and the food especially was very delicious. Overall I really enjoyed my lunch here and will be coming back super often.
We went to Cibo Wine Bar, Yorkville for dinner, and it was a great experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all very good. The patios were lively and full. They have good menu and in that some pretty good vegetarian options.
Amazing food, vibrant atmosphere and excellent service. Daniel was funny, charismatic and very attentive. He made the experience truly unforgettable, would rate it 10/10. Vegetarian options: There were many vegetarian options
We came here to celebrate my birthday while we were visiting the ROM. I felt like my food was (the pasta) was a bit underseasoned and I wasnta huge fan of the dessert (but I am a pastry chef so Impretty crtical), but that would be my only critiques. We were originally booked for dinner but had to adjust our plans and they accommodated us for lunch, added some birthday touches to dessert and even took a picture for us of us all together. The venue was also clean and well decorated. I would definitely try this place again since the service and atmosphere were excellent.
Katie was AWESOME! She made our dinner and evening an amazing experience!!
came as a group of 9 people last weekend for a birthday, off the bat service wasn t great considering the restaurant was fairly empty. since gratuity was automatically placed on our bill due to it being a large party, the server wasn t attentive and brushed us off. i understand that we were a larger group and it can be overwhelming, so had this been the only issue my review would ve been mostly positive i asked for some bread to use on my pasta, and they brought out the $6 focaccia. usually a bread basket is included at most italian restaurants, and it wasn t the price that was the issue, however if you re going to charge us at least let us know prior to bringing it out rather than us finding out from seeing it on the bill. another issue we found was that the waiter smelled of body odour. its very off putting and unappetizing to smell BO when im being handed my food. lastly, as we were leaving my friend lightheartedly apologized if we were being annoying (as a large group, it can get overwhelming to serve lots of people so we were trying to be understanding) but to this the waiter replied ya you guys were just a bit annoying first of all the restaurant was 95% empty and the only other customers were sitting outside and we were inside, so i m not sure who we could annoy. and secondly, when you re paying a $650 bill and over $100 tip, the least you could do is not call us annoying. overall, food wasnt great and service was even worse, theres much better italian restaurants in the city that will leave you more than satisfied.
If you re ever in Yorkville looking for a fantastic happy hour spot, CIBO SOCIALE is the place to be! Their happy hour runs every Thursday from 4-7 pm, and you can t beat the prices. Enjoy 50% off wine (both by the glass and bottle) and indulge in delicious $8 items like: Polenta Fries Polpettine Arancini Bruschetta Fried Zucchini & Artichokes Margherita Pizza A Napoli Pizza I tried almost everything on the menu, and it was all amazing! I ll definitely be back for more.
Risotto was bland Poor service restaurant was empty yet server late to take orders or come by, always had to call server Chairs old and uncomfortable, everyone in our group was complaining Not what you would expect for a popular restaurant in Yorkville Used to be good Disappointing Vegetarian options: Good options
I love their pizzas as it reminds me of my lifetime in Rome. On Tuesdays, there is a promotion of half priced pizzas if you dine in. My favorites are Mortadella (fresh pizza with pistachios) and Gorgonzola (sweet pizza with pears). This time we tried Truffle one. It was also interesting! They also have a nice patio, so you can print your pet!
Away from siren going off for so long atmosphere is nice, comfortable. Food is waaay too salty. Lobster pasta not great and salty. Service is ok. Didnt change our plate. Waitress not knowledgeable in their menu. For Yorkville area, I dont recommend at all.
Manager told me to sit anywhere and would bring me a menu. Proceeded to get on a phone call. Had to ask someone else for a menu and then chase them down to order. Pizza I got was $24 on the menu. It was half price today and probably still over priced. Bland and unappealing. May as well have gotten a pizza from one of those vending machines. CIBO has gone down hill at this location and I will go back to not giving them any business
Came tonight for the half price pizza deal! The restaurant is very chic and, with the windows open on a warm summer evening, an idyllic spot for date night. ran into some friends as well who were also impressed with their meal. will definitely be back!!
Have been eyeing this place for quite a while and finally decided to come here on a Tuesday evening when they were offering 50% off pizzas. Right off the bat, as we entered one of the hosts was dealing with what seemed like a group of people so we were next in line to be served, upon seeing this a host/server noticed us waiting and attended to us right away and after being told we had reservations he took it upon himself to check us in to the tablet they have as the first host was still dealing with the people in front of us. That was a positive experience right of the bat as it seemed like staff had a system in place/teamwork to get to their patrons quickly to minimize wait times. We were seated in the area where the chefs make their pizzas and being able to see them at work was marvelous, the seating was very comfortable. We were served by Daniele and I must say, the service was outstanding. My girlfriend and I got a couple glasses of wines, their polenta fries (which were very well seasoned and tasty) and their fried calamari (which was average as what you expect from fried calamari, not too soft not too crunchy, it was just right). I got their quattro stagioni pizza (which was great) and she got their funghi pizza (which was outstanding, I definitely preferred this one). I got a cappuccino and she got a latte with some latte art which was nice, both came with a little biscotti. We shared a vanilla panna cotta which was also very good. I would definitely be back, if youre looking for a social place to chill and have dinner this is the place to go. Again, service was outstanding, plenty of servers around and very easy to catch someones attention and they took care of you. It was nice to see teamwork in action, everyone working together to make sure customers are being taken care of.
How the portions have shrunk! Pizzas don t even fit the plate, too small, maybe 8 pieces of calamari .. and where are the peperoncino s? Oh Cibo ..
Should be 3.5. Really average heavy greasy food.
Went on w Tuesday for their half priced pizza, i tried the da napoli pizza which was really tasty. However our server was very rude. RECOMMEND THEIR PIZZAS Food
Lasagna is spicy not the sauce but the meat. Not expected.
Beef, pizza, French fries, very good combination
They have Pasta Wednesdays where you can get authentic homemade Italian pasta for just $15! This deal is available at all of their locations. Thats a great deal to have amazing Italian food in Yorkville. Pair the pasta with your favourite wine or prosecco and have a happy hump day! I had a lovely Girls night for the Pasta Wednesday. Loved it.
Great service atmosphere and location.
You can never go wrong with any location of Cibo. Sometime service can be bit slow but the delicious food and amazing staff makes up for it
Great food! Great environment! Enjoyed every bit. Dietary restrictions: I m vegan and ordered a salad, because of there open kitchen concept I could see them working taking proper precautions to meet my choices. Loved it. Food : 5/5 |
Just had brunch here, food quality and taste was so good!! The service was also good I recommend going to this place Food : 5/5
Came here for the first time and the orecchiette was excellent . Especially, the Egg Benedict was mouth watering and delicious .
This one is an underrated gem right here in Yorkville. Its a little high on the money, but taste and quantity of the food justifies it. You should definitely go for the brunch special with mouth watering eggs Benedict and shortribs and eggs. Thank you for having us.
Cibo is an established resto in Yorkville. We sat on the secluded patio. The polpette, pizza margherita & chicken pesto panino were all extremely tasty. Portions were so generous, we couldnt finish. Service was stellar, with a number of servers hovering around us. It seems almost every day there are pizza, pasta or drink offers, making it very inviting for a return trip soon. Vegetarian options: There are salads, pizzas, panini, pastas and a number of other vegetarian options. Wheelchair accessibility: Cibo is at street level and theres a 1st floor washroom.
Visited here for the first time and the experience was so good. The food, the service, specially pasta s and pizzas and loved the open kitchen concept. Let s not forget about the appetisers (polenta, fungi) the best. Would highly prefer to visit here
Honestly it was meh, had to send a couple of things back. Nice owner but everyone else was Indian including kitchen staff. $300 for a Meh dinner = bummer
Food was amazing!!! Service was stellar!!
Dhruv was an excellent server , entries were amazing and atmosphere on a Tuesday night was perfect. Capped off a great day with a great meal and service.
Great service from Karyna and food. Great Tuesday pizza deal
The food and service was superb. The polenta fries is a must . Karyna was an awesome server. The restaurant was an excellent addition to our Toronto trip . Location in Yorkville was a plus
Great food and service! Karyna was great
Attended the patio after a long day - the cold drinks and $15 pasta really hit the spot. The service was top tier and they were very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend!
Karyna was great!

Cibo is the bomb dot com!!! the food is amazing and dont even get me started on my server karyna, she was great!! 10/10
The service and the food was very good. Karyna is awesome. Going here again.
Great place. Katryna was one of the best servers. Food : 5/5
Cibo Wine Bar has an amazing vibe to it and it super spacious. Reservations are required but are super easy and convenient. They not only have couple tables but also have a wider space to accommodate families of large number. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. Although its super busy and thus the service might take longer than expected, its worth the wait. They also have Wednesday specials where their select pastas are just $15! What a steal! We had an amazing time and are looking forward to our next visit!
The restaurant has a great atmosphere. The food is solid. The pasta is very well done. The pizza is ok. Nothing jumps out here but it is solid classic dishes. There is a great collection of wine. The cocktail list is ok. There is not much in terms of beer selection. The service leaves much to be desired. The server was absent for most of the dinning experience. I would say the support staff did an excellent job of taking care of our table in lieu of are servers absence.
My husband and I really enjoyed dining at Cibo. It was our first time there and we were impressed by the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and hospitable service. We were served by Daniale who was extremely professional, helpful and patient with us. We will definitely dine there again.
What a lovely place
I went to this cibo with my friends on Wednesday for the promotion sette bello pasta and I enjoyed everything specially our server daniele, was a really nice and welcoming guy and gave us a really good recommendation and took care of the table really professionally.
Vegetarian options: Lots Parking: Green P available nearby and walking distance Food : 5/5 |

Would pay more attention to the cleanliness of the place. However, the food was really good, and Daniele gave excellent service. Thank you. Food
I Was at cibo On Yorkville for my anniversary with my husband and we had a great experience we had an Italian server. His name was Daniele And gave us an amazing service. He suggested what to order which was very helpful. He also Give us an exquisite service. I recommend to go try it out and ask for.daniele
Everything was great! Our server Daniele was amazing, would def come back again just because of him:)
I absolutely loved it at Cibo wine bar. I called last minute and they were able to take my guests and I of 11 girls. When we came the table was already set up nicely on the top floor. Service could have been a little better in terms of communication and billing. But I know it was last notice. But food was great, drinks and appetizers. I would definitely be back. And a highly recommended dining. There s options for gluten free, vegan and vege.
You know when people say they can make a meal out of appetizers? Well, I decided to live life on the edge and do it! I present to you: a meal of appetizers: focaccia bread, caprese salad, and mushrooms. I was stuffed and greatly satisfied. The people with me opted to get salads, but we all know they wished they had stuck with appetizers-only. But, alas, I can only influence so many people in one day! I m just one person, after all.
It seems like management recently changed or at least something did. Hostess was nice, servers were not friendly and just doing the bare minimum. Had been here many times before and quality of food has 100% changed and not for the better. No longer a place I would recommend
Staff wasn t friendly at all. The person at the front door didn t feel welcoming at all. Gave us a judgemental looks instead. Def won t come back again even tho I liked the food.
Alright guys.
The best Italian cuisine in Yorkville, Toronto!
Great spot with delicious Italian food and exceptional service!!!
Great vibe and the atmosphere was warm and homely. Drink menu is good, with also non-alcoholic cocktails. Espresso martini and spicy margarita was so good!!! Service was mostly fantastic, water constantly refilled and table cleaned between each course, friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Tried the penne alla vodka, and it wasn t the best I ve had! My friend got the Tagliatelle, which was awesome. Calzone was good too. Nothing extraordinary but still good!
All the dishes were excellent . Pleasing Ambience. Good vibes, staff was very friendly and cheerful. Will definitely like to Visit again. Highly recommended.
Best pasta Ive ever tried in Toronto, but also the most expensive. Worth it when I want to treat myself!
