Italian spot for simply prepared light fare & a varied wine list, plus comfortable rooms & a patio.
We were looking for a place to eat in the Yorkville area so we could enjoy the holiday decorations and decided to give Dimmi Bar & Trattoria a try. We sat in the enclosed patio which was well heated and was a nice place to sit. The service was decent. We felt like pizza that day so we got the Sbamp’ a Vucca and the Yorkville pizzas. The crust in both pizzas were thin and crispy and we really enjoyed how it turned out. Our favorite was the Yorkville as all the flavors were balanced and delicious. We were a little surprised by the Sbamp’ a Vucca as it didn’t come with any sauce or cheese. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t what we were looking for. You may want to ask your waiter what the pizza comes with as ours didn’t give us a heads up. If you’re in the area taking in the holiday vibes and you’re looking for a place to recharge you should definitely consider Dimmi!
Super mediocre food. Although, I did really like the tiramisu and would return just for dessert.
Went there on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. For the first time . ordered the special of the day agreed with the waiter said to try the steak it was absolutely horrible I asked for well done this thing came so bloody it was hard to even get the waiters attention. Left their extremely hungry. A proper restaurant and a waiter would have known something was wrong and up chopping it to little pieces to try to eat the cooker parts. Probably won't be going back to this place again. Waste of $130 down the drain
Food was really good, service was friendly and atmosphere was cozy in a wonderful Yorkville setting. We will definitely be visiting again!
Great Italian place to visit for good food. I ordered the gnocchi and LOVED it. Their desserts are also very yummy. The restaurant wasn't too crowded when we went at around 6pm on a Monday. One star off because their toilets were kind of gross and neglected. But that could've been a one time thing.
This is a great little spot in the heart of Yorkville. It was easy to get a reservation. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating when I showed up 1.5 hours ahead of the reservation. Menu selection was sufficient. The best part of this restaurant was their food. Service was fast and efficient. Bottomless fresh bread for the super hangry. All 3 italian dishes we ordered were so delicious. I looooooved the Funghi Risotto. I would order that again and again and even order for take out. My companions (who are super picky) also loved their dishes. Great value. Just a little over $100 for 3 people but we didn't have any drinks. It's an intimate little rustic cave like ambiance but very casual and the servers were all very friendly.
Not the best food experience. We had pizza and pasta here. Pizza dough and toppings were disappointing. Pasta was ok but missed depth in flavour and a certain freshness. Waiters were friendly and correct, but seemed done with the evening. The bread we were served was chewy and old/dried out.
One of the TOP Italian restaurants in the city. Raymond the owner is the most gracious host. - Orecchiette with Induga sausage was one of the BEST noodles I’ve ever had. Smooth. Soft, not chewy at all. The meat was some of the best I’ve had with pasta - Rigatoni w/Ala Vodka - sauce was UNREAL. - Calamari was the BEST I’ve had personally. Smooth, soft, and not chewy. Light & flaky breading. - Arancini was great! - Lamb skewers were a necessary appetizer - grilled salmon so buttery and flaky
Decent food, service is decent heads up they don t warn you that they charge 13 for water.
I have been 3 times and both have been very good experiences, super delicious food and good service. I have eaten: pasta, risotto, calamari, pizzas, calzon and gnocchi. And I love drinking the espresso Martini, wines and beer!!
Food was delicious. However, the drawback was they had switched off heater intentionally just 5 mints after we paid our bill. Well, who does that?
This place is great. The staff are extremely friendly and give wonderful recommendations. The bread that comes with the meal is great too.
Came here for a dinner recently and I was disappointed. The service was not thoughtful or smooth at all. I got the Tagliolini Alla Gamberi and the shrimp was overcooked but, an easy sign to see that the quality was not good was that throughout the dish, a bunch of noodles were actually stuck together as if they were boiled or cooked too long at the bottom of a pot or pan. For a nearly $30 pasta before tax and tip, I d expect the noodles to be at least cooked properly
Staff go above and beyond to make your dining experience exceptional. The food is phenomenal and the owner is very attentive, caring and generous which is why we keep coming back.
Charged me for hot water. Waiter was pleasant but yawned while he was talking to me. Very unimpressed with the food. Would not go back as there are so many choices around.
Italian restaurant with quality menu and very accurate service
Two of us went there later on in the evening. It was busy, but there were seating. Service was efficient. My pizza and shared salade was good.
I did enjoy my time at the dimmi bar and trattoria, but it wasnt because of the food. the service was good overall but I really only went there in the first place because I enjoyed the vibe.
I would go back anytime
Dimmi is perfect!! Just had an amazing delicious pizza never disappoints!! Today we tried their Rib eye steak !! Cooked to perfection absolutely delicious !! We will definitely be back !!
Unlike other places, there is no dedicated server, so everyone who works here comes and helps, so we were able to eat quickly. The food was so good that I tried to make a reservation for a meeting this week, but after paying and giving me the receipt, a tall waiter behind me said, Sese! Not all Asians are Chinese.
Outstanding food....Great Friendly Service...Highly recommend
The food is so bad
Excellent choice of dishes and outstanding service
Nice restaurant for an evening out. Pizza was very good and restaurant is quaint.
Great service excellent food good portions decent prices for lunch. Parking garage right next-door. And an excellent patio overlooking all the sights and sounds of Yorkville.
Excellent food & staff. Ray has a great thing going there and he has made it work through the pandemic. That which I know could not have been easy! Keep the awesome times going ...NEVER stop !!!
We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop here on a wim! We are glad we did! The food was delicious and the service was great! One of the waitresses even took our daughter on a tour of the restaurant, which was really nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any of my friends and family visiting Toronto!
Dimmi has been my go to place for over 10 years, probably over 15 years. I have hosted clients / family / friends and they have all had a positive experience at Dimmi. I have hosted a Christmas party their / numerous private events upstairs along with Lunch and Dinner meetings. For the private events upstairs, Raymond arranges the appetizers for us and we have never been disappointed. They can be very accommodating if you have special menu requests in advance or sometimes just a simple change to the menu. My go to starter is the Charbroiled Calamari (I do add black olives) and my favorite pasta is Fettuccine Alla Ciccio (I do add shrimp and their hot sauce to it). To be honest I visit Dimmi at least once a month, probably a lot more. The food is excellent and the staff are knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Dimmi to my family / friends / business colleagues. Enjoy!
Excellent service, they delivered the food very quickly, changed our plates and the food kept coming along with our drinks. However, I felt it rushed at times as my friend and I wanted to enjoy our food and talk, and even if we had a bit of food left on the sharing dishes, we were asked if were done. Maybe because we were sitting outside and they wanted us to finish quickly so they can give the seating to other people. The food was good, and it was a nice atmosphere. Its pricey but its Yorvkille. Almost $200 for one person with tax and tip.
the place was nice and the food was good. What soured the experience was the $23 they charged us for water. they didnt tell us that the bottle was $11.5 and what made it worse is that every time we took a drink from our water the waiters seemingly appear to top off our glass. once the bill came it made sense they kept on pouring us water :(
Wonderful service from our waiters and waitresses. They were very nice, attentive and gave excellent service. The food was very good. Although several people from our party would have ordered differently if they come again. Very good place and well worth going.
Good Yorkville location and good food. The wine we ordered was delivered with the wrong year (younger). They didnt seem to care about this and didnt do anything to make up for it. $100 for 1 shared dish and 1 half bottle of wine, including tax and tip. Revisited in fall 2024. Same conclusion: delicious light lunch but poor service. The waiter forgot to bring pepper after asking if we wanted some (so we were waiting), and forgot to bring bill when we asked for that (so we were waiting).
I came on a Saturday evening. Everything was excellent, but unfortunately, I had food poisoning from my pasta. I m not sure how they made their pasta, but it was not fresh at all. I was very disappointed because it made me sick, but overall the service was excellent and the atmosphere was excellent, but they should definitely work on their pasta making or the oils.
Pizza was great and the service was good. Pasta portions are very small, won t be filling for one person.
The food was decent. But when we do not have any space on the table. We patiently waited for the waiter and ask to get a bigger table or combine two tables together. After several attempts, the owner came to us with a bad attitude and said that he had to reserve tables for other customers since it is a saturday night. And started taking our food out of the plate without asking. It seems like he just want to rush us to eat the food and get out of there. Very bad attitude and lack of respect for their customers. Will never visit again.
Staff is friendly and will do their best to find a table. Food is consistently good and reasonably priced. They appreciate your business by treating you well. Thanks
The ricotta is invisible. Order another dish. Overpriced. Attentive and friendly staff.
First time ever I have seen charging a fee for splitting up the salad upfront so my wife and I could share. We were asked if we would like them to do it in the kitchen, which is common courtesy across the globe, so of course we said yes. No one informed us about a $3 fee for that which is ridiculous. No excuse or anything after asking it to be removed from the bill, looks like its simply their policy to squeeze in fees for the unaware customers. Food was decent but won t ever go back.
Very disappointed. We were a group of 6. Over the course of dinner, we had three different servers. Calamari, mostly batter. I dont even think there was any calamari. Looked and served like they were made day before, not hot or even warm. salad with goat cheese, lettuce very soggy. Pizza barely warm, toppings were scarce. A fortune for a cocktail. All of us walked out very disappointed. Wont be going back. Kid-friendliness: kind
This place emulates the heart of a family owned Italian restaurant. I should have taken a pic of the food, but we ate it faster than I could take a pic! Ordered Penne alla Vodka and a Margherita Pizza, both were 5 stars. Service was on point and well choreographed - everyone working together. We took our two little ones there and they devoured the food. 10/10 recommend and will be back Parking: There s a parking garage right next door Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with kids! Order your kids the pasta - they ll love it
We travel extensively, and have enjoyed great food throughout the world. We needed a first dinner here in Toronto (Yorkville), and chose Dimmi Trattoria. We loved it. The food was wonderful. We had the Fettuccine alla Riviera and the Linguine with Clam Sauce. The service led by Sara, and generously supported by others, was superior. Dimmi is a 5 star neighborhood trattoria.
My husband and I enjoyed the food which was Cosimo pizza , so yummy . Parking: It is located in busy area which is normal Food : 5/5 |
Had pasta. It was decent. Waiters were annoying with too much interruptions at first and then they were no where to be found later as they took a long time to bring boxes even though we asked 3 times.
1000% love this place. Everything is good. You MUST get the toffee dessert.
Horrible service and food . Ruined me and my friends day , nobody bothered to be our waitress or ask us anything and when we asked for help the lady was extremely rude. Waited 20 mins just for someone to take our order. Only nice person was the owner.
I went on a Friday night just before closing time and the service was excellent !! The guy who received us gave me several options as I am vegan and the menu didn t have specifically vegan main courses. The waitress was so attentive, nice and the service was so fast ! Both of them made our visit very memorable and the food was very delicious ! My only suggestion would be to include vegan options written on the menu. I very much recommend this place !
Been there on a weekday night. We had just sat down when a guy, who was not our server, rushed over and said, Order, we are closing soon. Order, we are closing. Weird attitude, but our server was nice though.
Tell me more like middi
My favourite restaurant. Best value in Yorkville by a country mile.
Amazing T-bone !!
The best seafood pasta in the city! Great servers and management. Thank you.
Food is not as good as it looks, overly over priced. Olive oil on table not real olive oil smh! Saw, how our neighbour table requested the real olive oil for dipping.. will not go back
Unbelievable, everyone should have a culinary experience like this. I will be back countless times.
Good location amazing food and service Must try
Absolute 10 Food, service and pricing amazing . Quality , quantity, just perfect , very happy we came and we will be back Food
Great food with two nice outdoor patios. However despite the patios being dog-friendly, the waiter was showing us a lot of attitude and repeatedly commenting on us bringing a dog which made us quite uncomfortable. His comments were regarding the size of the dog and how it could get in the way of other customers. Despite us verbally checking with nearby customers in front of him (who were all more than happy with our dog), he continued his rude behavior. We wouldnt go again because of this experience.
Food was good, but they charged us $36 for plain water. All that was asked was whether we wanted still or sparkling, there was no mention of any cost, and it isn t listed anywhere. Everywhere else I ve been in Toronto, water is free. Seems like a scam.
The service was friendly, which made us feel welcome right from the start. They also have a nice patio thats perfect for an outdoor meal. Unfortunately, the food was just average and lacked flavor, which was a bit disappointing. While the ambiance and service were great, the food didnt quite live up to expectations.
Very nice restaurant with delicious pasta dishes!
Our favorite place in Yorkville! Service and food is always good Can t miss!!!
It is a lovely Italian restaurant with amazing food.
Very welcoming atmosphere, amazing food and service experience
Food was good. Service was atrocious
Everything was excellent
As luck would have it a reservation at a nearby restaurant was fumbled ... fortunately we stumbled upon what I now know is the best restaurant in yorkville! Dimmi hits all the ambiance , ,service and culinary vibes .. having thousands of years of ancestry entrenched in Italy , Im a bit of a food snob.... I expect and wont settle for anything but the best... rarely have i eaten outside of my home and experienced quality cuisine.. until Tonight... Dimmi served up a fabulous burrrata.... followed by an absolutely divine T-bone steak..of the quality that prods one to grab it and savour each and every morsel... the accoutrements were perfectly crisp and delectable... if youre a dessert person, please be aware that the tiramisu will knock your socks off...dont know how i missed this gem all these years...going forward this is my go to yorkville spot...
Average Italian food for the price point. Pizza was disappointing and the was pasta ok. Food
Loved the ambiance, food and speedy service. Definitely will be back!!!!
Food was great (portions a bit small) but strange service. Kept trying to take things away without asking if we were done. We had four servers checking in on us every three minutes. Was a bit much, felt like we were being rushed out.
Quintessential neighborhood Italian restaurant doing dishes right. I wish I took photos but was trying to disconnect. Our service was impeccable and the staff worked like a well oiled machine. Each having their own personal touches. I have had calamari all over the world and their charbroiled calamari will probably continue to stand out - tender, flavorful and beautiful cooked. Reminiscent of my time in Italy s Almafi s coast. Pizza and pasta with meatballs were also fantastic. I will also add this seemed like a place where many locals dine and seemed to have genuine relationships with the staff. That is special in my book. A real Kid-friendliness: We didn t ask for a kids menu. But our children enjoyed a margarita pizza and pasta with meatballs! Cleaned their plates!!
It s always a great time to come and dine in Dimmi s! Amazing atmosphere, delicious food with great choices. If you ever in Yorkville it is a must go place !
Excellent food, with very friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere from start to finish was lovely and Id highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for quality Italian food. Food
Reasonably priced for Yorkville ! Great Italian restaurant. Fresh draft beer. Good wine selection. Excellent staff Fun place to have lunch or dinner.
Not the best pasta but thats okay, portions could be a bit bigger. Itsa good place for date. We got pastas and tiramisu
Quality food (salads, pizzas and pastas tried). No waiting. Staff who work in magnificent Team work , smiling and professional. An excellent place, well done
Excellent food , staff were so attentive and could not do enough for us . Prices were more than reasonable . I look forward to going again .
Ordered a simple Arugula salad and added chicken and asked to not add the fruits/cranberries toppings of course when I got the food, it came with fruits on top so I had to send it back. Then they removed 90% of the cheese too! I didn t want to send it back again started to eat and noticed the Arugula was not even fresh. Showed to the waitress, but I really didn t have the time to wait for another salad! It was lunch time, so it wasn t even during their busy hours!
Great restaurant, good service and food. Would highly recommend the veal chops!
Always great service and atmosphere is good, busy not obnoxiouly loud. Even when there s celebrities dining here the vibe is still relaxed. A frequent spot for me been going for years and they are always super friendly. I wasn t feeling too well this last visit so I think my taste buds were off but I wrote this review because I always forget to I love getting their pasta and seafood and their non-alcoholic or alcoholic drinks are amazing! I m still acquiring the taste for mussels however I think it was good but Im not an expert so definitely try it. I have had their calamari too and its amazing!! This pasta dish was recommended and it was just as good as the server said it would be I just forgot what its called Bon Appetit!
Great fresh Italian food.
A wonderful meal, great staff, family environment. Menu items are well priced and the staff arena delight.
One of the BEST dining experiences Ive recently had in Toronto. Excellent food and OUTSTANDING service. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly
If you re looking for exceptional service and exceptional food, please look no further and experience the greatest Italian food at this establishment.
gnocchi delicious Food was delicious so good . I would 100 percent be back .
Been here multiple times! Great service and good food! Food
Service is horrible for the area. Just bad taste of food. Brought salmon , all overfried dipped in oil, kale salad same. Brought blocks of frozen gelato for the kid, couldnt even put spoon in there, returned and they charged for it. Wont go next time
Amazing restaurant and servers! Went here on a date night with my husband and it was a wonderful night. The food is incredible and the restaurant had a great traditional Italian feel. The beef carpaccio was excellent as well as the steak special and vodka pasta. Highly recommend and will be returning!
Love this place Excellent service from the time we walked in till we finished meals Food was delicious - will be back when in Toronto next time Food : 5/5
A very yummy meal accompanied by kind staff and on the ball service. Im gluten free and felt very safe eating here!
I really like this restaurant. Good service, delisious food, and tasty wines.
Such a good experience! Great service, vibe and food. The calamari and the tiramisu are a must!
I found the food meh
Went with my elderly father on the 14th (we ve been several times before). Dad is physically impaired due to 2 strokes - the staff there rushed out the door to help dad get up the two steps to get in, and gracefully helped him to the table. Upon leaving, same thing, helped him all the way outside (the gentleman would not accept the tip I tried to give him). They treated him with much dignity and respect it warmed my heart. The service was spot on, and the food is really delicious- I had my favorite, pasta a la vodka, so good. Dad had a pizza and ate almost all of it (he normally eats like bird). I highly recommend this spot for a nice meal with lovely service. Thank you Dimmi restaurant, we will be back!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dimmis and I must say, it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant was great; The staff members were attentive and friendly enhancing the overall dining experience. I highly recommend it! Buon appetito!
These guys are just amazing. Great positive & welcoming energy. The chef taz (sorry if im not getting your name right!) went out his way and made the perfect custom pasta with a little bit of everything. He jumps right out for the slightest request/complain and wants to make it perfect for everyone. This is one of the biggest things i ve been missing for a long time in Toronto. They made us feel like we re visiting someone s home, not a commercial kitchen with fancy tables. Sokol was a wonderful host and took care of too well. Unlike the uptight snobbish attitude of some other italian restaurants in the area who refuse to change a single thing about their dishes, like they were set in stone.
Had an unpleasant experience here. Waiter was very rude regarding a mistake that HE or the RESTAURANT made. Furthermore the food is fine but portions are small for the price.
Eh- just another overpriced italian restaurant. I got the yorkville pizza and it was a bit disappointing- very crunchy thin crust and not worth the money.
Cute family vibe love the staff
Our Waiter, young guy, was amazing, it was a Company Christmas party, he was funny and full of great recommendations.
Honestly, I was expecting a lot more out of this restaurant. Especially for its location and price. Dined here with my company in a little private room upstairs. We all ordered some apps to start, the charcuterie, mozzarella cheese. My main was a chicken parm salad with arugula, shaved parm and a balsamic drizzle. I m not even kidding when I say the salad was super super dry and I struggled to swallow it. I can t believe how much I disliked this dish. The service was amazing and the beer was nice and cold. 100% wouldn t come back here.
One of the best Italian places in the city; we are always treated like family when we walk in the door. Great service and food (highly recommend the spaghetti meatballs for their heartiness), a real gem!!!
20/10. Best food, best customer service. Owner is great. Favourite restaurant in Toronto.
Amazing vibes - service - food great price too
Great place for dinner wine and pizza!
The family went for a birthday celebration dinner and the experience was just superb! The staff were extremely friendly and hilarious! Everyones food was delicious! The place had a very nice vintage look to it! Highly recommend!! Parking: There is an underground parking lot close to the restaurant, as well as limited paid street parking
I love Dimmis! With the amount of restaurants in Toronto I usually dont often return to places because theres always somewhere new to try but Dimmis has been a staple for me over the last 6 years. There probably is better italian food in the city but the service here is amazing and they are CONSISTENT!
Good place for Italian lunch. Penne alla vodka was good. Cup for tea was small though.
Many years of enjoying Dimmi. Never disappoints from the food to the staff. Take yourself out.
Tasty food and Good service , will be back again .
18$ for the worst caesar salad ive ever had. It was already dressed for take out. Rip off
Went with my friends. We had the veal chop (my favorite), spaghetti meatballs, chicken pizza, beef carpaccio, ice-cream and tiramisu cake- all very delicious with big portion and priced fairly. The server is very attentive and passionate about what s being served to clients. Overall would recommend.
Nice dinner Good service No perking A bit noisy Will spend around 50 per person Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Yes Parking: No parking Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: No
Simon our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Great place and delicious food. Atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Great place
What can I say . 5
Above and beyond, always - great service, great food and if you sit on the patio, incredible people watching!
Was just okay, nothing to rave about. Was expecting better tbh
We sat on the most beautiful patio at the back, served by an incredible staff including the manger. Loved the food, atmosphere and service. Can t wait to return!
Dimmi was fantastic. Great food and uncomparable service. Thank you!
Great location and food is fantastic. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nice to find a place that would host a group without having a minimum spend. The whole experience was perfect!
Great food , service and atmosphere. The Syrian girl server was amazing with her nice smile and excellent food recommendation. Food
Tomato salad and beef carpaccio tasted great. Very nice atmosphere.
Stale cold bread, bland cold pasta dishes, fake parmesan. Fusili con pollo and spaghetti and meatballs were bad.
This place is so big with lots of floors, lots of patio and rooms, the service is impeccable, and the food is absolutely amazing, cooked with live and passion. The chef was extremely gracious and came to the table, offering a variety of dishes. The atmosphere is unmatched with its beautiful lighting, and the surroundings are amazing. The food is all authentic, obviously home made and literally melts in your mouth. You can take family or a group of people and have a wonderful time. Take a date and you are sure to have a second one, lol. This is a must try
Pasta expectacular!
Delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere. I have been to Dimmi several times and the food is constantly great, in my opinion. Have not had a bad experience there.
late lunch on Saturday, great experience from reserving a table to service and quality of food, presentation. And Staff are just amazing.
All good. Food, service, menu
The food was pretty good, but not mind blowing. That being said, the ambience and the service were beyond expectations and I enjoyed my meal mostly BC of these reasons. I shared the Margherita pizza and spaghetti with meatballs and bother were good.
Used to be 5 stars, but prices have gone up considerably and portions have gotten a bit stingier. $25 for a plate of pasta with only a few pieces. The food tastes great, but the portions are a rip off. Used to once be a favourite of ours. Total came to over $113 for a pasta, pizza, two coffees, and one glass of house wine. Unbelievable
Family run Italian spot. Has a storied past. Yummy.
Love the place , food is good , prices are pricey
Authentic Italian place nicely decorated with efficient service. The pizza in particular is excellent. Down to earth but still feels up market. Very nice option to have in Yorkville.
Came with our cranky toddler and they were very accommodating. We ve been here often & their food is delicious and service is always kind. Our server I believe was named nick & he was great!
Best restaurant.
Extremely friendly staff (multiple servers checked on us) and delicious pasta! Lots of seating so easy to get a table Saturday night.
The staff where amazing!
Food was good. Everything on the menu was under $50, but when I ordered their veal of the day the bill came in $85 so feels a litttle bit scammed on that end. Other than that, great experience!
It was a little bit pricey for the food they offer. I guess its the neighborhood...
Excellent!! Loved that place
Good food and even better wine a bit too noisy, always busy, staff is very friendly. I always know what to expect from the place. Have been a customer for years.
Id say service was the standout. I felt everyone who interacted with us knew we had a choice of other restaurants and truly appreciated that we walked in their door. Don was great and gracious. All the meals looked good and tasted great. I have had better sticky toffee pudding but the Tiramsu was delicious. Been before. Will be back.
Great experience!
So delicious! Best pasta dining out that Ive been ever had! I had the spaghetti meatballs and it was perfection. The bread prior to meal was excellent too and we had top notch service with really friendly servers! My boyfriend had one of the pizzas and it was also divine. I cant wait to go back!
Great food in a prime location in Toronto where there are many other choices. The seafood was amazing esp. the fish. They were so good that it took us right back to Italy :) Highly recommend!!!
Enjoyed our meal
Love Dimmis Consistently amazing! Always happy with the food and service. Love seeing a hard working staff and management. Beautiful menu, never disappointed.
Went out for a date night a few weeks ago and loved this place! The atmosphere and food is lovely overall. The staff are super friendly and despite us not making a reservation, we were accommodated. We shared a salad, calamari and a pizza between the two of us and with the drinks we had, it was all we needed. The calamari is a popular dish and I could see why! The squid is tender, lightly battered and the sauce on the side is excellent! The tomato salad we had was simple but fresh and delicious. And finally the pizza we had was the gorgonzola and honey pizza. The gorgonzola was toned down with sweetness from the fig and honey. We felt the pizza was ok the sweeter side of our liking however gorgonzola is not everyones cup of tea but I would have enjoyed a little more sharpness of this wonderful cheese. Last but not least, the cocktails here are lovely. Theyre a bit on the sweeter side but very enjoyable! We tried the espresso martinis, the lemonchello spritz and so on. Very enjoyable evening and I was happy that the restaurant had a more homey than pretentious vibe. Pricing was not the worst either. It came to $200 for the two of us with 3 rounds of cocktails. Drink s are expensive anywhere you go. Definitely recommend!
Restaurant name: Dimmi Bar & Trattoria Introduction: An Italian restaurant in Yorkville that serves fresh pasta and pizza and offers outdoor seating. I came for lunch and ordered a grilled feta cheese vegetable salad and mushroom tomato pasta. Lets start with the salad. The salad contains arugula, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and other vegetables, as well as grilled mushroom slices. On top is a piece of grilled feta cheese. The toasted, crispy and delicious bread tastes great with the salty feta cheese. You can add a little black pepper or mix the feta cheese into the salad to taste more delicious. The salad is a little bland as I expected. The taste is slightly different, but fortunately there is no peculiar smell and the vegetables are very fresh. Then there is the main dish. The pasta is cooked to a suitable degree of softness and hardness. The tomatoes and mushrooms paired with it are also delicious. The dish is not very salty, but because of the large amount of garlic oil, there is still a layer after eating the noodles. There is oil residue on the plate. When this dish is served, you will be asked if you want to add cheese powder. You can choose to add it or not. The addition of cheese powder adds a creamy flavor to the pasta. All in all, it is a very good meal. The friendly service staff and the fresh dishes made me want to come back again. Parking: It s definitely not easy to park. It s recommended that you take Metro Line 2 and get off at Bay Station, which is where this store is.
In the resturant
I loved the place, very nice and the food was delicious.
Consistently good Italian comfort, rich, food. Hits the spot
Great pasta and good price point. Excellent customer service. Kept refilling bread basket which was delicious. Had the shrimp pasta with arugula. Also fried calamari. Great meal for decent price
Great atmosphere, we have had our Christmas part here the last 3 years, and every year has been a fantastic experience! The owner is awesome, food is superb, love it here. Food
Best pizza Ive had, not from a pizza oven.
Great place!
I go to Dimmi regularly and it s always consistent for its food and service. This time I took my colleagues for our annual holiday lunch. I tried a new pizza and was disappointed. It was the Yorkville. It was supposed to have Gorgonzola on it, but I didn t taste any. Also, the onions were supposed to be caramelized, but they weren t. I ll have to go back to the other food I know will not disappoint.
Best restaurant in town by far I ve been going to this place for years now and still the same quality and service. Food
