Food was excellent, exceeded my already high expectations. The only downside is the tables were tiny and seating very squished/close together… I considered knocking a star for this but decided to keep it at 5 because of the food. Service was also very good. Plenty of vegetarian options. It is hard to mess up a classic pasta, but it’s such a basic food it’s also hard to get one that’s above and beyond and so memorable. Mine was. I got the mushroom agnolotti with black truffle added - it was spectacular! Very unique thanks to the strong lemon flavor. A relatively generous portion. And it went perfectly with the added truffle. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, which is rare - usually I find them soggy or unpleasant, even at top notch restaurants. These were perfectly melt in the mouth, chewy but not overly so, not overly soggy or water filled either - and fully flavored from the inside out. The sauce was buttery without being too heavy. And the lemon kick was throughout - in the filling and the sauce, cutting through all the richness. Beautiful shavings of parmesan added on to the mushroom umami. The fava bean starter was also excellent though a little small. The dandelion greens are a bit chewy and bitter, but I liked it. Most importantly, it was doused in pecorino which made it so flavorful. I tasted my friend’s squash pasta and it was also excellent. The reviews said not to miss dessert, and they were right! The sticky toffee pudding was to die for, perfectly made. I also tried the terrine and even though I don’t like mousses, it was excellent - the bitter chocolate and flaky salt cut through the richness, and olive oil added an interesting flavor. My mocktail was great - Moscow mule with a zero proof herbal “liqueur” that added a very interesting undertone. The service was very good, and the waitress described the dishes very well. Water was also refilled promptly. The only thing is there was quite a wait between receiving the dessert menu and ordering dessert - we had to flag her down after waiting around 15min. Now to the main downside, and it’s quite a bit one. The seating was horrible. We were squeezed on a bench with not even 1 foot of space between the other two parties - their feet were under our table. The table was also TINY - seriously wasn’t big enough for our two plates of pasta and two drinks… if we had ordered any sides or a third dish to share there wouldn’t have been space. I had to think through where to place my fork and water glass so as to not knock anything over. This seating situation is so unpleasant that it might keep me from retuning quickly, and I do hope they rethink it because the food was really spectacular. It seemed to be mainly the 2 person tables like this, so I plan to only return with 3+ people. Overall, food was excellent but they really need to revamp their seating to be larger tables and more spaced out.

Been here 3 times over the past few years and it’s gradually been getting a little lacklustre for me. The food isn’t anything too noteworthy. One word to describe my meals would be “salty”. I can’t taste anything else as the flavour of the dishes gets overpowered by salt. I was not a fan of the chicken liver mousse from this spot. Taste was far too metallic for my liking. A saving grace, the desserts here are well made, can’t go wrong with those. Personally a fan of the lemon ricotta and pistachio cannolos. Still worth a try, maybe it’s just me. This is still a well respected establishment in the city. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine!

The food was exceptional, and the experience of sitting at the counter for all the courses made it even better. It was a pleasure meeting the chef and hearing about each dish. I’ll definitely be returning!

This place was an absolute delight! I visited for my birthday based on a friend's recommendation, and it exceeded all expectations. Our waiter, Richard, was exceptional—his detailed explanations of the menu and his soothing voice made the experience even more enjoyable. I was pleased to learn that all pastas can be made gluten-free for an additional $7, including the filled varieties. I opted for the gnocchi, while my partner chose the agnolotti with gluten-free pasta, mushrooms, and truffle. His dish was decadently earthy and delicious, while mine featured soft gnocchi in a tangy tomato sauce, beautifully enhanced by a drizzle of olive oil. We started with the tomato and strawberry appetizer, which was a fantastic combination of herbal, nutty, and creamy flavors. Dessert was equally impressive: we had both gluten-free options—a torta topped with chestnut sauce and a dense, fudgy chocolate cake adorned with nuts and a touch of fancy olive oil . Every aspect of the meal was flawless.

A very cute and beautiful ambience Italian eatery outside of the downtown core. Pricing expensive and equivalent of King West spots Food was good: Had the burretta starter, pasta and branzino and tiramisu. Portions are equitable to most restaurant nowadays. Service: excellent service, we started inside and wanted to go outside with no problem and everyone was friendly and nice. Ambiance and pricing: beautiful decor and lovely patio. Prices are not cheaper than the ones on King West even for a place on Dundas West.

What a treat of a restaurant. The gnocchi was cooked to perfection with a delicious ricotta in the middle, but once you get past it, I found it quite bland. The other pastas were much yummier. The wine selection is nice and fancy, good reds. I would say the price is what one might expect and the portions are just about average. The service is definitely above and beyond. Everyone including the GM is so nice and caring. The vibe inside is nicer than the patio but still a bit hot for the summer.

This Michelin guided restaurant served great Italian food, although I'd say some were more spectacular than others! Such as the arrincini, tuna and truffle pasta! The 30 day aged steak was also super earthy, highly recommend it! If you don't drink alcohol, they have mocktails, which were just as refreshing!

Interior was charming and cozy. Feels like it d be a nice date night. We sat at the bar and service was inconsistent. Some waiters described the food half assed and some didn t at all. Cacio e Pepe - It was gross. Salty and overcooked. Agnolotti with mushrooms - Yummy. Lots of mushrooms and very buttery sauce with lemon forward ricotta. Fennel salad with bursts - overdressed. If it wasn t for the burrata to balance the acidity, the salad would have been gross by itself. Looks like cafeteria slop. Grilled rapini - they boiled it first then grilled it resulting in a mushy rapini that was over salted. Overall - Definitely would not return.

Food was ok. Pay attention to the seating limit and eat fast. Not a place to meet friends or a date for a leisurely dinner. I was really displeased with our experience. Although it s written in the reservation confirmation (admittedly- I missed this detail when I read the email) - it was not communicated to us when we arrived/were seated. It would be extremely helpful to give a reminder when diners arrive. We would have understood this and dined accordingly. In this instance - after dinner our party was given the dessert menus and asked for our order by the manager. We asked for a minute to decide. Literally a minute later when our server returned, we were ready to place an order - we were told that the next reservation is arriving in 10 minutes and they needed to clear the table. This was really disappointing to hear - and the server said there was nothing that they could do (there was no offer to rush dessert and payment, take out, or any accommodation whatsoever). For context - as a party of 3, the stated seating limit is 2.5 hours. Our reservation was at 6:30 pm and we were told at 8:21 pm that we must leave less than 2 full hours in (our receipt is time stamped). In this time we ordered 3 apps, 3 cocktails, 3 pastas (would have ordered another drink but were not offered) - and dessert was STRICTLY not on offer. I shared this feedback to let the manager know while we were still there and it wasn t acknowledged or addressed.

Unfortunately, a cockroach crawled right across the table and the manager only decided to comp the dessert! Connor (our server) told us that he explained the situation to the manager, and the manager refused to come and speak to us. Disappointed in this dinner as this was a special occasion.

It was a beautiful space and the music was enjoyable. The staff were amazing and very attentive. The lighting was nice and warm and cozy. The food was unfortunately below our expectations and rather disappointing. The sticky toffee pudding was great but neither of us liked our pasta and the apps were lackluster.

It was my birthday and we decided on Enoteca Sociale for dinner. Super excited, ive never been a to anything so fancy or accredited like this place. I love italian food and love a good sized portion, good taste, and definitely expect to be full after a meal. This place was unfortunately a pretty big disappointment. I waited a few days to mow it over in my head before writing this. But since i ate here i cant help but feeling like i was ripped off quite badly. The food: Gnochi pomodoro - flavour was pretty good, smoky, tomatoey, and some cheese. Very few pieces of gnochi and a lot of sauce and tomato left over so much so that i wanted to ask them to prep more gnochi to use the absurd amount of sauce in comparison to the pasta. We got the beef and bass crudo - not my usual cup of tea but excited to try it. Not very flavourful but that seemed to be more on the dish itself than the cooks. Service: service was okay. Pretty good actually. Water was filled, plates were cleaned. But 1 thing stuck out in my mind. A waiter had seemed to be having a bad night after a not so kind patron had spoken to him rudely (from what i gathered). The waiter and the patrons friend who spoke ill hashed it out. They had a very very uncomfortable conversation literally while the waiter was almost touching my shoulder. This guy was literally breathing the same air as me. All i wanted to say was please take this outside but i felt bad and held my tongue. Only to have this make my entire dinner awkward The bill came and it was almost 400$ with a tip. I told my brother i wanted to tell them i wasnt happy but he stopped me and told me it would be rude. This happened on the nov 22nd at 8:30pm. - reservation was for Nabeel (my brother) Thesis: i am unhappy. I spent almost 400$ on a very disappointing and overvalued meal and not anywhere close to being full . I didnt even get any protein within that 400$ figure aside from the crudo apps that only had 3-4 pieces. We actually had to pay to have them to add another piece . The service was okay. The atmosphere was nice. I really genuinely feel like i was wronged here. I hate to say it but i truly feel this way. I even spoke to close friends that love this place so i was extremely disappointed. If you are looking for a upscale italian spot in the city, im sorry to say this is not the best option out there. This is a middle of the run and expensive place for what they offer. I would not recommend it. Thanks

I recently dined at Enoteca Sociale, opting for their four-course meal option (with an additional charge for the ribeye steak). While the service was excellent, the overall experience didn t live up to my expectations. Ambiance: The atmosphere was not ideal for a comfortable meal. The tables are small and positioned too close to each other, creating a cramped dining space. The noise level was also quite high, making conversation difficult. Food: - Primi: For the first course, we chose the cacio e pepe and bucatini allamatriciana. While both pastas were well-cooked, the flavors fell short. The cacio e pepe had an overwhelming amount of black pepper, overpowering the dish. The bucatini s tomato sauce lacked freshness and didn t stand out. - Secondi: We decided to upgrade to the ribeye steak for our main course. It was cooked perfectly to a medium rare and was undoubtedly delicious. However, while enjoyable, it wasn t exceptional enough to justify a return visit solely for the steak. - Dessert: For dessert, we had the torta caprese. It was decent but nothing extraordinary, consistent with the overall experience of the meal. Overall: The service and ribeye were definite positives, but the cramped ambiance and mixed impressions of the primi courses tempered my experience. While there were standout elements, the meal didn t fully meet my expectations considering the restaurants reputation.

Went here for dinner solo on my last night in Toronto. Prices are in CAD so for someone from the US hitting that exchange rate the value is superb. Dinner started with sparking water and a glass of Montepulciano DAbruzzo. Ordered the house bread, consisting of about four slices of sourdough and four slices of focaccia with olive oil to drizzle. The focaccia was excellent but that sourdough was tangy with a perfect bite, soft and chewy. The main courses was the Bucatini All Amatriciana, made with Guanciale. The noodles were housemade, very fresh and cooked very well. Dessert was a small espresso with Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Gelato and a cardamom sauce. I would go back here again. The environment was very pleasant and the bartender was great, although the host seemed to take umbrage with me wanting to dine in, and he seemed to want me out of there as soon as possible, despite it being a relatively quiet night. Its not worth taking a star away. People like that you just ignore and maybe take a little bit longer just to irk them some. If you let me live in your head I will do so happily.

Ive eaten at Enoteca Sociale many times over the years, so I was excited to take a group there who had never been. Unfortunately, we left disappointed and I had to agree it was the worst meal Ive ever had there. We ordered the tasting menu - basically a prix fixe comprising some of the same items on the a la carte menu - which ended up being plenty of food. Standouts were the breads (always some of the best in the city); arancini (a stalwart); and burrata salad. The cacio e pepe and mushroom cappelletti were also pretty good. However, the bucatini allamatriciana - my usual favorite - was almost cold, with noodles bordering on mushy. Our steak was badly overcooked. It was supposed to come out medium rare but was closer to medium-well. For a dish that goes for $100 on the a la carte menu and is a $35 supplement on the tasting menu, that should *never* happen. I found the chicken quite dry and the lightly fried sea bream was also slightly overcooked, though the fried zucchini strips with which it was served were very nice. Dessert was quite good, a moist chocolate torte served with a drizzle of hazelnut sauce. Service was very good, fairly attentive and prompt, though it did take too long to get a second bottle of wine brought out after we ordered it midway through the meal. It seemed like maybe they had a bit of a challenge with the tasting menu for a group (though we were only 6), as dishes were not uniform temperature. The fact that double-portioned pastas were served on a plate (instead of a bowl) was also a bit awkward and probably contributed to them going cold quickly (with noodles spreading out all over).

Anyone can have an off day, but its a shame when it happens at a restaurant you were so looking forward to eating at. We sat down for a couple drinks, some bread and pasta. Drinks were good and our server was lovely. Unfortunately the pasta took an eternity to come out. We were sat for 95 minutes before we got our 3 pastas , and they were bland beyond belief. Like someone had lost the salt jar and the kitchen decided it might be ok. Clearly the kitchen staff tonight wasnt up to snuff, as they havent even learned they need to taste the dishes they send out. I would wait until they sort out kitchen staffing issues before going here, or risk being disappointed.

September 22, 2024

Recently inquired about a group dinner reservation for a private event - we were super excited to dine there and were in the process of discussing set menu changes and final details - even sharing with our family and friends that the dinner would be there. They ended up giving away the reservation to another party and didn t even have the courtesy to tell us that another party was interested in the same date! Terrible customer service etiquette.

The food overall was bland and most missed the mark. Other than the Carne Crudo, it was delicious! Every course was cool, this was brought up by the other people at my table too. I took my fiancé here for his birthday and overall very disappointed. We were greeted promptly by our waiter who took our drink order and said he d be back to talk about the menu. He came back 15 mins later and asked what we are getting. Never explained anything about the tasting menu - which is what we were interested in. He seemed in a rush, so we just ordered bread and arancini for an appetizer. Arancini had no flavor but hot and crispy. Bread was average, wasn t served warm. It took over an hour to get our entrees and the whole time we were waiting our server avoided us and we had to ask someone else for a refill on wine. I got the gnocchi for dinner and it was very overcooked, just was like eating mush. My fiance ordered the bucatini. His was very underdone and hard. We enjoy Al dente pasta, but this was very underdone. We waited so long for the food, we didn t bother complaining about it. Our server must of sensed our disappointment bc he ended up taking the apps off the bill and blamed the kitchen being slow on the new pasta guy . Also, a few people in the group had food allergies (gluten sensitivity, raw fish, mustard) so a couple individual dishes were made for them. We could not have been happier with the experience. We randomly stumbled across this magnificent place by looking up Italian restaurants in the area. What we found was that rarest of gems, a restaurant, in the most unlikely of areas, that excels, beyond the max, in an extraordinary full-spectrum dining experience. The SERVICE at Enoteca Sociale is truly exceptional with the wait staff carefully, enthusiastically, even passionately, explaining the features and traditions of each dish they served. Their courtesy, precise attentiveness and relaxed friendliness is something I havent experienced in a restaurant in decades. And the food ... while a little nouveau in the portions, is of such high quality in every respect, that one is happy to have laid down the money for such an unforgettable experience. Eyes rolled back and the mouth just watered. The presentation is art. The manager ( owner? ) of Enoteca personally waited on our table as well, joking with us in the most elegant but relaxed manner. And it is radiantly clear that he holds customer experience very, very high on his list of priorities for his restaurant. And his wait staff beautifully, and happily embody his passionate vision of the Enoteca experience. We are going to become passionate regulars.

The cacio e Pepe by far the best thing there. I would go back just to get that dish and that dish alone. The pasta was so good and fresh and the sauce was delicious. Even when it was getting a little cold it tasted just as good. My only complaint was that there were some pepper pieces that weren t ground enough which made it taste toooo peppery, you had to spit out the piece of peppercorn. The butrata salad was a miss for me, rapini was good as well as the sourdough and focaccia bread (the olive oil was proper) For dessert the sticky toffee pudding is a bit odd as far as theme but do not skip it. It s delicious!!! For drink I got the Italian 91 and after a while it tasted a bit bitter. Service was alright. Felt like our dishes were being taken away too quickly had to stop them from collecting since we weren t done yet.

We booked the chef table tasting menu but had car troubles on our way into the city. We were over an hour and a half late to our reservation but the staff and chef were so understanding. The tasting menu consisted of 6 courses, all of which were big portions. The staff s attention to detail and eagerness to help stood out most. We loved the interactive experience with the chef and would recommend this place to anyone!

AVOID THIS PLACE - I had made reservations two weeks in advance to celebrate a my husbands birthday and when we arrived, they had decided to put us right in front of the door in a small and very awkwardly-placed table. I said absolutely not and then they put us on the patio where there was no music and the tables were so close that you could hear word-for-word conversations of the tables on both sides. The service and the food were very lacking. The red wine came out ice cold and when we asked why, the girl server responded that they were looking into it which no one came back to speak to us about until we had to flag down the manager and he finally brought me another glass. When I am paying more than 20 dollars for a small glass, ofcourse I want it to be the way I ordered. The food was very mediocre, the cacio e pepe was over peppered and too spicy with hugely ground peppers and the chicken secondo came out with undercooked chicken and flavourless. I lived in italy so I know good italian cuisine and this place is very pretentious. I had better food and service at chain restaurants and paid remarkably less. Food and service were both majorly lacking and you will find a much better place to celebrate any special occasion, especially for one where you are spending considerable amount of money and getting very small portions. Lots of other better restaurants to choose from.

First impression, small and loud but it s an acquired taste in experience! For myself, I am soft spoken so I had to speak up for my friend to hear me, even though our table was small. The interior is very nice and I love the dim lights for atmosphere! We ordered the gnocchi and bucatini for our main dishes, and I highly recommend the gnocchi! it was the best texture I ve had from any gnocchi dish I ve tried. It was soft/pillowy + delicious and the hint of chili added a nice flavour. As for the bucatini it was decent, it was more al dente than I typically like my pasta made and wished it had a little more sauce since the pasta itself is hollow, but the meat was good though! As for dessert we stuck with the sticky toffee pudding, and we found out why it was popular because it was simply delicious. That s all that needs to be said from someone who enjoys something sweet to end the day!

Standout dishes include cacio e peppe, arancini, and the smoky gnocchi. Highly recommended! UPDATE....We returned to Enoteca Sociale last night for a birthday dinner and again everything was just splendid. Standouts too numerous to mention them all, but the aroncini and zucchini flowers were very special. All of the pastas also were excellent and the sticky toffee dessert was out of this world. There was two hostesses at the door and the female hostess was completely disrespectful and rude to us. I understand that it was a busy time and they may have had no space for us in that moment however it does not warrant the attitude and eye rolling this hostess gave us. Came to Enoteca Sociale for early dinner with my friends! We ordered the carciofi (artichokes) as antipasti and it came with 3 portions. The artichokes were extremely soft (almost mushy) and citric with boiled egg bits to add on to the texture. My friends ordered the gnocchi and bucatini. The gnocchi was extremely soft, with a texture close to potato mash but more doughy of that. The sauce also came with a hint of spiciness that s not overwhelming as the ricotta balanced it out. The bucatini was very bouncy and almost close to an udon texture. Personally think this dish is very simple, it was the artisan pasta that made highlight. I ordered cacio e Pepe, with truffle shavings. The cacio e Pepe was slight dry but very rich in cheese and truffle flavour. The black pepper was slight grounded and you could bite into pepper bits in the pasta. The truffle flavour was also infused into the sauce and hung very well onto the pasta. You can add 2g truffle shavings to all items for $15 (at the time of review). To the wine list, it s mainly consisted of Italian wine. I ordered two whites, a Chardonnay and a La Coste (I couldn t recall the name!). The Chardonnay has a hint of butter and popcorn, the other one is more fruity and has a hint of lychee. Absolutely enjoyed the wine. The restaurant is cosy, a part of 3 gets a dining time of 2.5 hours. The waiters are lovely and attentive. Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience at Enoteca Sociale and would recommend this place for all sorts of occasions!

They definitely made us feel unwanted like they were only looking for a certain cliental. If you look at some of the lower reviews of this restaurant you will see a trend in how this place tends to rush/push people out. Portions were small so it was nice for sharing and trying different things. My brother got lots of wine recommendations from the bartender that he loved and I had some delicious spritz. Was really hoping to enjoy this place after the rave reviews but it was quite disappointing. We had a lobster pasta which was extremely salty. The agnolotti ai funghi was underwhelming - nothing special. The female server who gave us our entrees did not offer fresh pepper and when asked for parmesan, she simply said its already on it so we asked our own server behind the bar who happily helped us get more parmesan but we should not have to ask twice. A bit overserved & over pressured. Despite ordering a bottle of wine, attempting to have a detailed conversation with my dinner friend over 3 courses, we were constantly interrupted (every 10 mins...literally) & getting pushed to finish our dinner in just over an hour despite having the table for 2 hours as stated on the reservation. I could see my friend was upset & frustrated too. Also, my friend & I were both dressed appropriately & were quiet/unassuming. There were a few empty tables between dinner service times and people were not lined up so there was no reason for ongoing pushes/interruptions. However, I think good, well intentioned people run the restaurant though. And I also think that customers come in for an experience that includes relaxed but efficient service, atmosphere, and food. The food was decent, not over the top for me...the waiter seemed very enthusiastic about the food but I didnt share the same emotions after the appetizer. I tried a menu special item that maybe just didnt work for me or I didnt have a chance to savour it or enjoy it as much as I could have. Given my experience (I have gone to over 750 prime restaurants in the last 30 years so I do have a lot of comparisions to draw on as well)...I would not recommend to friends or go back though. :(

To be honest, I liked almost everything at Enoteca a part from the two hour seating limit which wasnt mentioned on the website or with the reservation. If you are planning a dinner to catch up with friends or family, think to dine elsewhere, as they are pretty strict and serious about the 2hr seating. Our table got the tasting menu, and while our waiter did tell us about the time limit when we ordered, he assured us we would be fine. After we paid our bills, we sat and chatted for a moment and our waiter literally told us the next table was here and we had to leave. When paying $120+ per person, I would prefer not to feel rushed, which we definitely did feel towards the end. I will say service wise too our waiter, although nice, seemed a little more green aka clearing plates of food without asking if we wanted them wrapped up. We had a half loaf of bread and a whole tray of olives that he cleared and I had to ask another server to pack the for us. Im pretty picky about italian food but almost everything was very tasty. Stand-outs menu wise were the Amatriciana, gnocchi, sourdough, squash appetizer and arancini were lovely. The branzino I dont think is worth the price, very average for what you receive. (You also have to pay extra to have the full serving of branzino on top of the tasting menu, I would go with the Ribeye instead). The chicken was tasty as well as the flourless chocolate cake. I would maybe consider coming back for lunch a la carte but not the tasting menu with the current time restrictions. Wheelchair accessibility: One other note is that the restaurant is NOT accessible. The washrooms are down two flights of steep stairs. I saw a pair of elderly people taking their time with their canes coming up the stairs and felt really bad for them, so I wouldnt recommend coming here with elderly or those who need a wheelchair.

Since they are known for their pasta dishes, I ordered 3 to sample. All different flavours and textures. The tagliatelle with short ribs just melts in your mouth, the bucatini has a good bite/chew and bold flavours and their shrimp anchovy linguini briny and spicy (a bit on the saltier side but to be expected with the anchovies in there). Anyhow, didn t have any stomach space for dessert so will have to go back. Server was very friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience.

I had a delightful experience at Enoteca when I was there a while back. I want to say this with utmost candor, I did not really consume olive oil casually, but having something as simple yet high quality as Enotecas bread and olive oil appetizer changed my life. From the exceptional artisanal bread, to the best Amatriciana Pasta Ive ever tasted, and frankly every dish we tried, we were truly impressed (we had the Chefs Menu - it was definitely worth it!). Vanessa was our waiter and it was clear to us how important it was to her that we enjoyed our meal. She was passionate about the menu, and took her time to make thoughtful recommendations. Although the service was great-from entering into the restaurant to our server and sommelier, it stops there with me personally. The arancini balls were crispy and hard to cut through and dry on the outside and just stuffed with mozzarella with no other flavours, drowning in marinara sauce. The beef crudo was decent but salty and served with many slices of what looked like over toasted thin sliced wonderbread which did not do anything for the crudo. My husband and I split the speghetti cacio e Pepe and it was probably one of the better dishes but my husband noticed it was drowning in parmigiana cheese and the added truffles for $18 did not elevate the dish at all- infact I couldnt even taste the truffle. Lastly the branzino was decent however I wished they described in the menu how it was prepared, I probably would have preferred it grilled however it was a wet dish with no other sides but the bed of raw chickpeas in laid on it the plate- it didnt do anything for the fish. My husband and would hate to leave this kind of review for this restaurant however the dishes were far from authentic and overpriced for the ingredients and preparations of the dishes. Weve been to Italy and visited many regions for ove a month to understand real Italian dishes rely on the freshness and simplicity of good quality ingredients. If we were not asked to place the whole order of our meal for the evening in one go, I most definitely wouldve asked for the bill after being served the arancini balls. After reading the many great reviews, we gave this restaurant a chance however my experience with food there did not match the other comments. I would like to thank the GM/sommelier for a decent wine recommendation- at least the wine was a positive experience.

Upon our return-arrival at 7:30 PM, we were dismayed to learn from the same hostess that we would not be seated until 9:24 PM, unless we were willing to eat in a hurried manner. As if this werent disappointing enough, the situation took an even more unsettling turn when the hostess relayed the urgency for us to leave to the bartender after we had placed our meal orders. If this wasn t bad enough, the staff began to gossip about the situation with a blatant disregard for us as they spoke about it directly in front of us. This blatant disregard for our dining experience left us feeling undervalued and unwelcome. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy our meal, we were rushed through our dining experience, with the implicit message that our presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued opportunity for the restaurant to showcase its hospitality. Not sure how this meets the Michelin Bib Gourmand standards.

We loved our first time here so much that we came back a second time! Our server made a great suggestion of wine to pair with our food. Such an underrated spot but such a nice atmosphere for date night. We absolutely love all the appetizers (the raw fish and meats are always well seasoned and the combinations used are delicious!). The seasonal lobster pasta was a small portion but rich in flavour. The agnolotti are what dreams are made of. Would highly recommend this beautiful spot.

We tried Chefs Table experience for my birthday dinner and we loved every bite! Richard and all the staffs were so wonderfully kind and sweet which made us feel very welcoming. Duck&beets, Scallop crudo, and Cacio e pepe were our favs! We are looking forward to visit this place again. Thank you for the amazing food & experience.

How does this place have Michellan guide ??? The pasta was absolutely dry, the salad lacked acidity. The cheese wasnt fresh and worse of all, it took so much time.

One of the best homemade pasta I ve ever tried. If you fancy pasta plate, this is your place in Toronto. Perfect for a night date. Place is small but cozy. Drinks are good and and the quality of food is excellent. I recommend to order the fixed menu to have the chance to try more plates with your partner or friends. Ordering by the cart may be come out expensive, but still worth the taste

Had a warm welcome and immediately was offered to take my coat into the back for me. We did dinner for 2, food was top notch and the waiter helped us pick the best wine with our entree s. Atmosphere was very well coordinated with a warm vintage feel + great music. They are very strict with a 2 hour limit like other reviewers have said. But without asking brought our coats to the front so no needing to wait. Will definitely be going back!

Server was great. Small dining area, didnt like. Entree was okay. Bread was very good. Not bad but not worth the money. Overrated. Better places to spend money.

Saltier than my Ex. Jokes aside, incredibly salty pasta, wasn t even able to finish it. My wife had the same issue with her dish as well. Seems to be a common complaint with this venue based on the reviews.

This is my third time here as I was hoping for a better experiece based on the ratings and I always think the food will be better but it once again disappoints. Starters was the rapini that we couldnt even eat after couple bites. Very salty ! Burrata was really average. Have had excelled burratas at Giulietta and some other restaurants. Then the main meals - I got cacio e pepe which was their specialty but that wasnt good at all. Very salty. Pasta itself was cooked al dente but everything else related to the flavour was really poor. My partner got the gnocchi which was overcooked and very poor texture. Left very disappointed.

Went there last night and thought it was very average. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great, but the food was not. The pasta was overcooked and not hot enough. The pork was over cooked and tough. Scallops never even came. Over all not what I would expect from a Michelin 2023 restaurant at all.
