12 Amelia St, Toronto, ON M4X 1E1, Canada
Rustic trattoria in a cottage with hearty Italian food & world wines, plus a glass atrium & patio.
Always an incredible experience. One of Toronto's finest in food quality, great service and value.
Amazing little place in cabbagetown. Indoor, covered patio and outdoor seating. Quiet street. Friendly attentive staff. Nice menu. Great service and food comes out well prepared and presented. Have been more than once and will go again. Vegan and gluten free options.
Your local amazing meal. Not a YouTuber instagram blogger place. Beautiful food. Great wine. Pleasant service. Come here and spend $ be nice and leave.
Lovely hidden gem! The atmosphere is great. I loved their patio. Food is amazing. I tried their Diavola pizza and it was phenomenal. Will definitely come back.
One of the best local Wood Fire Pizza and Locally Made Pasta Restaurants! A friendly, welcoming restaurant that is always very reliable and on point with all their flavours and quality of what they serve. A very relaxed atmosphere with amazing friendly servers. Your first bread basket is complimentary and it’s delicious. You are also given some extra parm and chillies to go with your main course. Would highly recommend you try their food, you won’t be disappointed!
Great little gem near Cabbage Town. Very friendly service and well above average authentic home made pasta and primi. Tiramisu was also one of the best we have had in North America. Calamari was also impressive and Seafood Linguine top notch. Didn't have the pizza but it looked like a top seller.
I had a dinner reservation on Valentine's Day and enjoyed the experience overall but I would not go back. It was extremely overpriced. Our server Graham was great, very attentive and polite. My disappointment is regarding the cost and variety. It was a set menu ($110pp) on the night with limited options. Since I was going to an Italian restaurant, I was looking forward to a pasta dish but there was no pasta option on the menu. I enjoyed the meal - salmon, steak and a pie for dessert - but I wouldn't be rushing back to the restaurant to have it again nor would I recommend my friends to go there. The house red was $75, which is more expensive than any other "house" option I've had before. They advertised 50% off bottles over $100, but I'm pretty sure the cheapest bottle over $100 was approx $140, so even with the 50% discount, you're still paying about $70, which feels shady. They auto-applied a gratuity of 22% to our bill ($71.94) which is ridiculous for 2 people. Tips should never be decided for and impinged upon the guests, especially when there are only two people.
Our server, Graham, was super friendly, funny, professional, and patient. Our group had many dietary restrictions and, as a server myself, I was impressed with him. I felt as though we were a group I wouldn’t have wanted to serve, in all honesty–thank you for putting up with us :). He was amazing. The atmosphere was very nice. Great lighting, beautiful patio, and overhead fans to keep us cool. Overall, an excellent experience.
Lovely warm atmosphere together with excellent service and the best gnocchi Ive ever had!) Vegetarian options: They are very accommodating and happy to make most dishes without meat.
Lovely atmosphere. Fabulous menu. Fantastic service.
Great Restaurant, great people
This restaurant doesnt get the credit it deserves. One of the best Italian restaurants in the city. I often bring people here as Cabbagetown doesnt have many options and they are always amazed
I ordered the funghi pizza, the truth is it is not as good as I expected, it seemed a bit greasy. The service is impeccable
To begin, the food was excellent and the wine was great. I also enjoyed the service from the staff, and the experience overall was pleasant. This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and is a wonderful Italian spot for Toronto. However, it was disappointing when the waiter who was serving my table mentioned that we should leave at least a 15% gratuity. We were a little thrown aback as we have always tipped the waitstaff as much as we could afford at the time. Unsure of where this comment had come from, I tipped 18% for reasons listed above. Yet, another member at the table tipped $1.50 short of 15%. To which the server noted that their tip was under the 15% they had asked for earlier. The server was slightly upset at the fact and this left me confused and disappointed. I always find it in bad taste when servers pressure customers to tip. It should not be explicitly stated, especially to those who come often and have a record of tipping regularly. The economy is rough on all of us right now and as much as I understand the need for businesses to make a profit at this time, especially ones as great as Famelia, it should also be noted that everyone, including consumers are struggling as well. Dining experiences should not, in my opinion, be exclusive to those who can provide grandiose tips. Those who still go out, such as I, do our best to give what we can alongside the cost of the bill on its own. I really hope this message comes across as constructive and not demeaning.
FAmelia and Tanya hosted my birthday party for 25 guests. They did a great job, all the guests were well looked after.
It s rare for me to post a bad restaurant review, but F Amelia s just doesn t cut it for me. Not a good vibe here at all. The service was painfully slow and unfriendly, the food below average, the portions small and the price high. Just not good value. The arugula salad was yellow and old. Yuk! The bolognese sauce was good but the pasta noodles were not. For $32 I expected a generous bowl of fresh pasta. It was a small portion and it was under cooked. I like my pasta al dente, but my noodles tasted raw. Definitely dry, packaged pasta. We won t be returning. If you want great pasta, try Gio Rana s at Queen/Leslie. A bowl of delicious house-made pasta for $18-$20, great atmosphere and friendly, attentive service.
Dined in for lunch. Half cooked pasta sauce and half baked pizza. Could taste the raw tomato. Server was like whatever.
My wife and I had pizza here, it was ok. The tiramisu though is the best in Toronto, totally worth it!
I had been wanting to go to this place for a long time as the venue is super nice and I love good Italian food but unfortunately I don t think I ll be going back. The food is super pricey for the tiny portions you receive, at least with the pasta dishes which is what we ordered. And our dishes weren t as tasty as I expected them to be for that size and price.
Having had a wonderful experience at FAmelia when I visited Toronto last year, I wanted to return with family in tow for a celebration, which I did last week. And once again, I was NOT disappointed. Paola provided exceptional service, the right combo of warmth and attentiveness. John Jay made exquisite drinks (the Tuscan Sunrise was a big hit!) And the chefs - did what they do best, beginning with a delicious charcuterie board and lovely warm olives. That was followed by multi-textured kale salads and for some, light arancini. Our mains covered the waterfront, from yummy white anchovy linguine, to mouth-watering seafood linguine (one on gluten-free pasta and one on regular pasta) and two tagliatelle bolognese that hit it out of the park! And there was nothing basic about the pepperoni pizza, which hit the right combo of sauce, cheese and meat! It was surprising that we could actually have dessert, but we did, enjoying the unbelievably light chocolatey richness of budino. A splendid meal once again. Bravo Famelia! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
Vegetarian options: The Primavera was delicious and everyone at my table who tried it was blown away! Dietary restrictions: Left meat off of a pizza for one of our vegetarian diners.
Food was ok. Way too expensive for what it is though. The salad was small and simple. They ask you if you want sparkling or still water but they don t say that there is an extra charge for sparkling. Tiramisu was really good!
F Amelia has been my favourite place to eat in Cabbage Town since they opened. The patio in the summer is the best place to hang out and enjoy great company and a bottle of wine. I have never been disappointed dining here. Fantastic friendly service. Friends are always surprised when I bring them here. How did we not know about f Amelia? They always say.
I called and asked if they were dog-friendly, and they had a table ready on the patio with a dog water bowl before we got there. Also, amazing food.
Friendly servers and delicious food & drink options! I love the intimate atmosphere.
Wine Weds are awesome
Such great food.
Patio is just perfect!!! The steak was very thick and juicy. Service was very attentive and Im normally very difficult.
Amazing Italian food and impeccable service. Staff was polite and always made sure we had everything we needed. Pizza was one of the best in the city and the crust was probably the softest and most delicious I ve ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone going on a date night or night out with their family.
Went for a wedding reception. The food was delicious and the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. Perfect place for a wedding. Vegetarian options: Had the eggplant parmigiana- amazing sauce, def home made!
If you havent been here yet. Please dont wait too long. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was impeccable, and most of all the food selection says to bring your appetite. I definitely recommend their calamari and their salumi board appetizers.
We shared wood oven fired pizza with great flavor combinations, and I had a classic lasagna that was excellent. My friend had the special, a yellowfin tuna steak that was an impressive portion size and perfectly prepared. We had an assortment of cocktails and wine to top it all off. I highly recommend FAmelia Ristorante if youre in Toronto.
Great food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Pasta is fresh and tasty. Tiramisu was to die for. This place is a must try
When you walk in you get the feeling that you are in a neighbourhood place in Europe. Ambiance ... check. The servers were knowledgeable, suggested cocktails and worked around dietary restrictions. Service ... check. The menu had items you would recognize. But when you get the food, it is just better than you have had. Extraordinarily well done. Food ... check check check. The pizza oven looked amazing. Need to go back for the pizza next time.
Fantastic atmosphere,great service,and great food
Vegetarian options: Mushroom Risotto was very bad Food
I was on vacation with my boyfriend and this place was highly recommended on reddit. The mussels were exceptional! If they have them get them! Perfect ending to an amazing trip to Toronto!
We went there when snow was falling and the fire inside were on. Very intimate place. Food was not the best but quite good. Service was impeccable. Edit : Got the dishes wrong. Thanks for pointing that out.
Inside the restaurant looks like what I think a comfortable, beautiful village restaurant would like like in southern Italy (Ive never been there so I dont know). I was first hit by the delectable smell, and as the evening progressed and more meals were prepared, the aroma got even better. My meal was delicious, and everyone in my group loved theirs as well. Lots of choice on the menu. The specialty drink with pineapple, prosecco and other delightful things was amazing. Although the restaurant had many people, it never seemed crowded or loud. I will definitely go back when I am in the area. I highly recommend.
Best calamari in Toronto! Their spiced flat bread is amazing!
Hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in the city.
Do not get the lasagna unless you are not that hungry. Though delicious, I was left wondering where the rest of it went. It looked like an appetizer lasagna or perhaps one meant for the toddler child I was dining with and not myself. The pizza was delicious and so was the dessert. The coffee was not to my liking. The service was excellent and the place is cozy. I shall return again with family, but will avoid the disappointment lasagna.
This is one of the best places you can find if you are looking for a reliably great meal in a unpretentious setting. Hidden gem that deserves a visit.
Dont miss out on a beautiful experience. Food on point ! Service on point! Atmosphere on point! I had an amazing time at this restaurant. You will definitely enjoy it! Its perfect for a date nite or jst hanging with some friends!
Delicious food, fantastic service. Been here twice now and it s definitely a spot I d bring people to.
Amelia has a great atmosphere, especially during the summertime. However, food is okay. we ordered tomato and rabbit pasta. I expected rich emulsified sauce with some jammy tomatoes, but we got very runny canned tomatoes with boiled pasta. I hope, this place upscales the menu because i would love to come back.
They try to hard. Food not the best
Nice environment, with tidy and tiny table we actually chat well. The risotto with seafood and mini eggplant is excellent. We don t like sour that much so the plants and warm olive is definitely not the best suit to us. Under Winterlicious menu, the Tiramisu is not bad, I wish it could contain more alcohol taste.
The good: Cozy, great summer patio and friendly staff. Cocktails are small. Appetizers: Arancini balls too much breading soggy rice. Arugula salad was good. Seafood risotto was bland and shrimps were over cooked. It just lacked flavour and tasted like watery rice so the seafood also had no taste. Pizza was ok. Generous toppings. The crust was good but the rest was soggy so I used a fork and knife. Couldn t pick it up. I really wanted to like this restaurant but the food just wasn t great and seafood risotto $36 (modest portion) has to be good at that price. The waitress suggested it over the homemade pasta so I ordered it. We did not order dessert. $130+tip
Excellent restaurant from start to end. Efficient, friendly staff. All meals were great. Rounds of applause.
Its such a cute spot, the ambiance is perfect during winter. The food is excellent here and the drinks are fun. Its been a place that Ive revisited a few times already
We had dinner for two take out the pasta linguine with rose sauce it handmade cooked to perfection but the arugula salad was disappointing comes plain baby arugula side small container with oil looking for any cheese baby tomato none whatsoever .the staff were very friendly especially the bartender I love to give them another try
Good food, good service and nice staff
This place is beautiful it s a cute spot and has friendly staff but don t hold your breath for the food. We ordered 2 glasses of wine (cabernet and chainti) , one appetizer and 2 pastas. The bread wasn t as fresh. Fungi risotto tasted good. The Bolognese was sub par. I expected more based on the reviews, not to mention they didn t look like the photos in the reviews. I would say it is overpriced based on the quality of the food and wine. I might go back for the ambiance but would order something else. Parking: You might find spots on the streets around
Amazing food (great pasta!) service and ambience! Will definitely be back.
A neighbour hood gem, food is exquisite, service is top notch..everyone made my experience unforgettable
Very cozy and nice, great for dates and get togethers. Great Italian cuisine with fresh bread made every day. The service is passionate and makes great suggestions on whatever your mood is. If you like good food and a good time this is the perfect place. Vegetarian options: There is a vegan bolognase with zucchini spirals as the noodles. Very tasty and healthy as well. Dietary restrictions: Chefs can do their best to accommodate Kid-friendliness: Kids a simple and quick, butter, red, cream, plain, whatever they want. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the indoor and the patio is accessible from the street
Wedding reception...wonderful
So disagree , pastas and pizza to noisy
Nice and cozy.
Great spot in the east end. Delicious food and drinks! Perfect for date night
Lovely spot for dinner!! The gnocchi was amazing. Also loved the vegan pizza. Only let down was no birthday dessert. But otherwise we had a fabulous time and the service was great.
Probably my favourite restaurant in Cabbagetown, especially in summer when their patio is open. Great ambiance and even better Italian food! They have lots of options including vegan and gluten free items. They have some more traditional dishes like pastas and pizzas and then some more unique items. On my last visit I had a vegan bolognese that actually had spiralized zucchini vs actual pasta; I love my pasta and carbs so this was outside my usual order but it was amazing and extremely flavourful!
Highly recommended!! I enjoyed the lasagna and my friend enjoyed the halibut special, lemon tart was dreamy!
The atmosphere and service was lovely. Unfortunately I didn t love the lasagna or pasta. Would recommend for a cozy ambiance for sure, but not for the food.
Love the food! And a lovely patio too. Beautiful service.
Thank you very much for this experience, Im happy to have eaten here! In addition to being extremely friendly, the food was excellent (the best lasagna of my life..).
Arancinis were delicious so was my green risotto! Would recommend.
It didnt disappoint.
Beautiful outdoor and open air seating! We had the arugula salad (awesome blend of flavors), baked lasagna, and bolognese pasta. Every bite was delicious! We even declined dessert and instead finished all our pasta! Service was so amicable!
Went with my husband and my brother. I had the braised rabbit pappardelle, and they had the bolognaise tagliatelle. Amazing handmade pasta! The rabbit was to die for. The service was wonderful as well, and the atmosphere is so dreamy. I will 100% be back soon :) Food
Probably the worst Italian restaurant in Toronto thus far. We came here to celebrate a birthday and were quite disappointed with the experience overall. FOOD: We started with two appetizers: fried calamari + focaccia. Both were average overall, but in comparison to other places basking in olive oil like there is no tomorrow. Our main courses were pastas. Mine was a rabbit pappardelle my friends had pasta with shrimp and a plate with mussles. The sauce was not well done with it not sticking to the pasta and making it bland. The shrimp was dry, certainly overcooked. And, everything lacked the salt. Finally, for dessert, we got Tiramisu, which was too rich. So much so that I went home and made a perfect Tiramisu that is light, airy, and all around delightful. DRINKS: I gotta give it to this place: they do know how to make a proper negroni sbagliato. SERVICE: The service was not as bad as the food. Even then, we waited for someone to come by our table too long. ATMO: The atmosphere is really nice. Their patio is wonderful. However, due to how the restaurant is positioned, it can be very noisy and difficult to hear people you are dining with. The noise levels were definitely off.
Cant wait to go again.
Really nice place for a date or bring the family. The food is superb and the service was really good. The decor and atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, Ive only been seated inside but the patio looks amazing. We are repeat customers!
Cozy place with tiramisu to die for
The food was great, and the atmosphere was ideal with this season during to enjoy the outside patio. Thx for the waiter who was patient & took time with our orders!!
Had an awesome dinner here. Sweet and cozy atmosphere, with even sweeter staff. Best plate of pasta Ive had in Toronto.
5 star all the way!
Love their pizza and the tiramisu is excellent
Long time customer but have to say the last couple of visits were disappointing. My family and I have always loved the place as the perfect little neighborhood restaurant. In the past its been great but it appears theyve changed their recipe or cooking method for pizzas, no larger charred nicely, flat sauce and now serving green olives on a Diavola? First time Ive ever had that and it felt like that just happened to be what they had on hand. Pastas also came out lukewarm and very small portions (at least ours were). Im posting in the hopes they put some renewed focus on the kitchen because it has been a great spot so want them to turn it around.
Great date night atmosphere with authentic Italian food
Pasta is a bit overcooked but the atmosphere is great.
We had such a great time at F Amelia the food is delicious, the service was good ! We asked the hostess for recommendations which was on spot !
Fantastic cozy Italian place, with great wine and service! Also, my girlfriend s Italian mother is recently celiac, and has lamented finding good Gluten Free pasta - she said this place was the best she s had in the city
FAmelia is a classic. Ive been many times over many years and never been disappointed! Always a great experience.
Love this place! Weve been here a number of times and always have delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and excellent wine/cocktails. Great ambience inside and out. A go-to spot for a lovely Italian meal in Cabbagetown.
Its the middle of the Toronto winter, its outdoor dining only and my girlfriend absolutely hates the cold - but it was her birthday so I had to come up with something. FAmelia was a wonderful choice. The patio was cute and cozy, we both ended up taking off the thick winter jackets we had worn. The wine selection was extensive and we got a lovely bottle of Barolo (for half price on an unexpected Wednesday night promotion). She had the seafood saffron risotto which was perfect and I had the famous rabbit pappardelle. The noodles - to die for - thick, glossy, melt in your mouth, the rabbit also divine. We had a little Tiramisu for dessert and they stuck a candle in it for us. Really wonderful evening, would absolutely recommend and will go again!
Excellent patio and great food! Really good
So. Best place to celebrate family and eat well! F Amelia has become another home. We are greeted warmly, fed yummy dishes and enjoy an amazing wine selection. We encourage you to visit this happy happy place in mid-town! Go once, eat well, make friends and you will be hooked forever. Hope to see you there one day soon! Cheers!
So happy we found this neighbourhood gem! If you re looking for a charming spot with authentic Italian food and friendly staff, this is for you. My boyfriend and I ordered the arancini as an appetizer, then split the bolognese and the pear pizza for our mains. If we weren t in a rush to trivia night we would have loved to stay for the tiramisu. Not many Italian restaurants remind me of my nonna s cooking but this is definitely up there. Overall a great dining experience to end your day strolling the streets of cabbagetown.
Cute restaurant but not good value because the following reason, see bullet point 1. Service was good. Overall I won t return because of the value but it s a neighbourhood staple. 1) We ordered 2 x saffron risottos, it was soupier than any risottos we have ever had and in addition to that, the rice they used was unusual as well - I assume it s a cheaper alternative than the crunchy one. Lots of mussels was a bonus with 2 shrimps. Portion was small as well, hence not good value per my key point.
Amazing.
Great place. Nice atmosphere! Food was awesome.
Ambient is crazy!
Absolutely loved everything about this place. The staff, the food & of course the half price wine on Wednesdays. We will definitely be back here. The charcuterie board was full of mouth watering house pickled beans , zucchini, the cheese and meat selection top notch. Our pasta was fresh and tasty. You will not be disappointed if you love your food
Fresh ingredients, well timed and prepared. Delicious, savory without over seasoning. Staff are friendly and warm adding a feeling of community to the atmosphere.
The bolognese and the lasagna are to die for! Also the house made foccacia tastes amazing.
Great ambience. Great food.
Delicious pizza, great ambiance
Amazing spot. Comfortable music levels, and I must say, an appropriate amount of food. I walked away from this experience feeling like a million bucks. Thank you!
The tiramisu is great!
Not the best hospitality you would expect but food is good.
The food was tasteless. The service was awful. Do not recommend.
Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and freshly made classic Italian dishes; a triple threat to my waist line.
Food was fine. Service was good. If youre bringing a baby, dont expect to sit on the patio
Loved this place! Went for date night and the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all phenomenal- if you re anywhere near Cabbagetown it s a must try!
I love this neighborhood gem that never disappoints. The bolognese, lasagna and mushroom risotto were equally delicious so I can t pick a favourite! The arancini also fabulous. Service excellent and attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend!!
Atmosphere was fine, service was polite, food was.. ok. definitely over priced, they charge for table bread, portions are extremely small, flavors are subtle. Pasta dishes shouldnt be swimming in butter like its a soup. Not worth it for pizza when far better pizza is a block away at salt and tobacco. Generally way better options in the city for that price range for Italian.
Came for my partners birthday dinner and we had a great meal. He ordered some pasta and I ordered the seafood risotto with some appetizers to share. Our wine was great, server was extremely kind too! My only downside is I indicated in the reso that it was his birthday and they didnt do anything like offer a little dessert or even mention happy birthday to him (not a big deal but still) Also the risotto didnt really have a lot of seafood in it to justify that price point but it was still delicious
One of Toronto s coziest secrets. A beautiful patio, expertly friendly staff who remember your name after a few visits, and delicious pizza, pasta, and risotto. Their charcuterie boards are also not to be missed. Wine Wednesdays are a must, 50% off any bottle over $100. Great way to try something fancy and delicious!
We managed to grab a table on a Friday night and were not disappointed. The staff is so attentive and make sure you feel welcome. The food is very good too!
Delicious. Great staff Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with the kids
Food was just ok. Overpriced priced drinks and food. Service was great.
August 2022 update: had a much better experience the second time here. Pea risotto and arancini were outstanding, the cocktail was well balanced, and the bubbly crisp. Very friendly and accommodating service, including when we needed to move indoors because of some uninvited guests (aka wasps) on the otherwise pleasant patio. Five stars for this experience. Spring 2022: This spot definitely trades on its location, reputation, and ambiance. As for the food - the main reason I like to dine out - here it s average at best. The arugula salad that we inquired about splitting three ways was miniature for one. The cavatelli dish was flavourless with a couple sad pea shoots on top, the pizza of bland cheese was indistinct, the cocktail watery, and the tiramisu unbalanced (mostly cream). They also charge for hot water and lemon. Service was friendly. Update: I m upgrading from 2 stars to 3 for now since I appreciate the owner s response and I have only dined here on one occasion.
Great overall experience! Fast and efficient service Great cocktail and wine selection Delicious pizza & pasta very well balanced! Outdoor seating that allowed dogs
We had a wonderful time there this Saturday evening , my sister was in town and insisted on going there Saturday!
Great Ambience. Authentic Italian cuisine. Do try the Pizza & spaghetti.
Lovely place in an interesting area of the city; great food and great service
Lasagna was pretty salty. Focaccia was bland, and the pizza was just good but not great. A bit underwhelming.
Beautiful small restaurant. Love arugula salad and my rabbit.
Quaint, delightful staff, good food, good wine
Very good Italian gastronomy, I really liked their dish, especially the saffron risotto, Their pizza is also super good Their tiramisou is delicious I highly recommend it!!!!
We have been to Familia many times and every time is amazing and fantastic. They hosted my wedding October 1st and it was magical and perfect every minute of the event. The food was absolutely incredible and Tanya made sure every detail was accounted for. Cute, small with a big personality they make you feel like you re actually with family. Food, staff, atmosphere, service all top notch.
Wonderful meal, great wine, terrific service. A perfect night!
Good atmosphere, the charcuterie appetizers were excellent. Pizzas were a large serving
I like this place. New to the neighborhood and a good regular place. Food has been good and even has gluten free pasta option. Lasagna is quite bland, but everything else was wonderful. Service is great and pizza is incredible.
Favourite pizzas in the city. The rabbit pasta is awesome, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff are great :)
First I must say the environment is great and peaceful customer service was just amazing the stuff were very friendly and polite I love it. Vegetarian options: They do have a few vegetarian dishes there
Great pasta and wonderful vibes. Were the only ones there on a Friday evening so service was super quick.
Great cozy restaurant in Cabbagetown. This is our second time here, nice, friendly atmosphere. We sat in the patio last summer and this time inside, both times great experience. Tried the Diavola pizza and Taglietelle bolognese, both were amazing and tasty. Highly recommend.
Good local neighbourhood Italian restaurant. My second visit and visited as other places nearby were full on a Friday night. Brussel sprout salad($16) was okay with pancetta and mushrooms. Special was disappointing but I was hungry- my beef short rib ($34) was reheated for service just enough but still a bit cold. Not as tender as I would have liked. Also took longer to arrive than expected. Overall if ordering I would consider sticking with the main menu of pastas and pizzas as the kitchen seems to be geared towards producing these dishes.
Quaint restaurant on a street full of unique and beautiful homes! The focaccia is crusty and warm and fluffy on the inside. The arugula salad had a nice sweet balsamic dressing. Our pizzas were delicious! If you order the Quattro Staggioni, be sure to mix all the toppings together if you dont want all the ham, olives and artichokes to be only on one slice. The Pera Arrosto pizza was a little sweet from the pear and smokey from the prosciutto. Great meal!
Food is delicious maybe a little rich for my taste. But always great and amazing location.
Great spot
This place is really cute but little disappointed about the experience. We did a take out a few month ago and we tried the pizza. It was really good so we had in mind to try once everything will open up. We didn t enjoy it that much this time. Was not as tasty, service was not good. I don t recommend this restaurant.
Good pizza, wine, service etc. Place itself could use a little TLC but def a nice spot for good Italian
Tremendous service and fantastic food. We got moved a couple times to better suit a group size but it was done with professionalism and consideration. The course delivery was fast and well timed. Just the right amount of attention and check-ins. As we prepared we to leave we had a downpour of biblical proportions and without an umbrella we were impressed that the F Amelia team escorted us to our Uber with umbrellas. Very impressed. Such a great experience. Highly recommend!
Patio is quiet and charming. Minimal street noise as it is on a side residential street. Lovely
Loved it! Our service was awesome and food was delicious. The atmosphere was also lovely and quiet.
Great food and a very nice outdoor patio.
Our waiter .... He was absolutely wonderful. We be back.
Delicious food, a perfect patio and absolutely wonderful service makes this place a hidden Toronto gem. Literally everything is delicious. ENJOY!
Great location good hospitality and food
Delicious Food, Excellent Drinks, Lovely server. Wonderful dining experience.
Friendly host (Tonya!) Will take care of you on one of the best patios in the city or cozy indoor spots... food always just right!
Lovely place, delicious Italian pizza, the waitress (Nicky I guess) was so sweet and professional. She recommended the pizza of the day and described it in a way that made me drool, I ended up ordering what she recommended and it was delicious! Beautiful experiences all in all. Thank you!
Food was delish! Lemon tart absolutely a must try
I had such a good evening! F amelia never disappoints. Charming european cottage vibe with excellent service and solid eats! Puttanesca is delicious, Quattro stagioni is delicious. Tiramisu was so good I almost ordered 2. Highly recommend reservation for ease of experience. Amazing every time.
Such a fantastic restaurant. Our server (a lovely bald man) was the sweetest and most accomodating server Ive had in years. The vegan options are spectacular, the drinks strong, and the prices exceptionally reasonable. Such a cute little patio on a side street just east of downtown, yet you feel very secluded. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a delicious Italian meal!
Love their food. Cozy atmosphere. Great neighborhood. A menu with all great Italian dishes.
They ordered a bin from us and never paid for the overweight as they put gravel and roofing waste inside kept giving the run around I have proof
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant. Great food and cocktails. I recommend the tiramisu, delish and plenty to share. The staff is very friendly and attentive...great experience!
staff was very professional and their cocktails were really good. I ordered pasta which was okay and a bit overpriced for what it was but overall good experience
FAmelia is such a hidden gem and quite the hot spot for those who love a traditional Italian meal! The wine selection is great! Cant wait to go back for their carbonara! Yum yum!
Delicious food. Amazing atmosphere. Excellent service. Highly recommended!!
Excellent Italian food and great service
Delicious
Great classic Italian spot! The only reason one star is docked is because we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table to be ready with a reservation. But I understand how complicated things are with covid and bookings. The staff were exceptionally nice about it and apologized numerous times. The food was excellent! The vegan pasta was to die for. Perfect flavour combinations. The margherita pizza was also quite good but I think I maybe would try a different one next time. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, although the music was a bit loud at times. They have an excellent wine menu as well. Would recommend to a friend and happily return
The food here is fabulous. Love the old school patio and authentic flavours... This is me, on the patio, Nov 10, so HOT I had to get down to a tank... PS the service is excellent too
Food slightly disappointing, wine a bit so-so. Not where I would go for an authentic Italian food experience. A shame, because previous (preCOVID) visits were much more fun. A little overpriced. Not really recommended at the moment.
Very disappointing. Charcuterie board lacked quality, poor selection of mediocre salamis, no focaccia, only thin cold slices of baguette. Pickled vegetables excellent. No olive oil or coarse salt. Risotto tasteless and overcooked (aborio rice?). Wine expensive and left a sour aftertaste (tried two different ones). Was so hoping for a real reflection of Italian food and hospitality.
Our group had an excellent dining experience. Friendly and prompt service, and exceptional food quality. The environment is great for small group dinners. We will return!
Cool vibe, great service and amazing food in the heart of Cabbagetown! Their Moscow Mule special for the evening along with the Tomato bisque was brilliant. Not to mention the delicious Mushroom risotto and the decadent Tiramisu!
My favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto. Cozy, romantic atmosphere, simple yet beautifully prepared dishes. Highly recommend the mushroom risotto, rich and satisfying without being heavy.
Great place, tip included in prices.
Atmosphere fantastic, food was really really really good. Simple menu, with some unique dishes, like a dish with rabbit. Had a disappointing old fashioned, but that was only minor complaint I can think of. My date had a great time!
