We had a wonderful time. The food was awesome! Our server Lizette made our dining experience simply the best. She is so friendly and warm and seriously about the best server Ive had in a long time. We will be back!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I ordered the pasta with a side of Caesar salad. To my surprise there was a live bug crawling around in the salad. It immediately was tossed. Really disappointed by the quality of this.

We wanted to have vegetarian options (ok with Cheese) and were asked to refer to Vegan menu. Vegan pizza was greasy cardboard. Vegan pasta was also boiled pasta with tomato paste. Dessert wasnt good either.

We had a really nice time. Service was really good and the food was good. The one thing I can say is Il Fornello is consistent!

We had dinner early around 530. I have been going to Il Fornello for over 20 years and we experienced the WORST service last night. We will not return to this location.

Been going here for the past two years and nothing but greatness to say about this restaurant. All the servers are so kind and welcoming. Their food is the real show stopper. Their calamari was fantastic and their pappardelle salsiccia was so flavourful and the sausage is fantastic!

Went there w a friend for caesars and good fresh pasta and it couldn t be better! Ordered the truffle mushroom pasta and it was amazing! Our waitress was so nice and attempt! Always present. Love the place, the location, the service, food and cocktails! Food

Unbelievable that the vegan lasagna and vegan garlic bread was this good, and that it was vegan at all. I can t say the same at the Richmond hill and Ajax locations which are inconsistent with what was served here. Big surprise. Great presentation

Called to place an order asked a question about the menu and got schooled that I need to read the menu before calling. Kid was hungry so ordered anyway. Food took an hour when told 25 mins.

The food was great, even though they were 30 mins away from closing time, they were very kind in the service. We had a really good time, I totally recommend it.

The service was perfect. Susanne was attentive but not disruptive to the atmosphere or our conversation. She has such a nice way of checking in . I also loved the younger staff and how careful they are about getting it right. A true family run restaurant on the Danforth. You won t be disappointed!!! Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegan Caesar salad as a starter. It was so so good. There is a full vegan menu. Dietary restrictions: I m dairy intolerant and totally expected to order vegan. Our waitress assured me I could order any dish and they would just use vegan cheese. What a great surprise. This is never offered. These people are ahead of their time.

Wonderful service and food! Went for lunch and it was fantastic, highly recommend. Our server Lola was so sweet and kind!

Arancini ball was soggy and cold in the middle. Service was middling. Caramelized onion on the pizza was literally just translucent, no caramelization to speak of. Will not be back.

We have been frequenting Il Fornello on the Danforth for the last 8 years. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, but above all else it s the service. My son, now 12, and I have loved Lizette especially, who greets us each time like no years have passed. If there was ever one restaurant in Toronto that I would call ours it would be this one

A very cute restaurant with lovely decor. I came here to celebrate my friends birthday dinner. The 4 of us got different meals, from salads, pizza to pastas and all of it was enjoyed. They have a vegan menu with a good amount of choices. The Cab (wine) I sipped was really good as well. Overall a nice experience and I would return again. Vegetarian options: Salads, pastas and I believe pizzas.

Happy to return to Il Fornello on Danforth and enjoyed the plant based menu ~ it hit the spot! As a vegan I appreciate how many options there are that use plant based ingredients to create flavourful dishes. The avocado cashew Caesar salad was nicely dressed and a light appetizer before our meal. For the main, I chose the mushroom pizza which was very hearty. Their vegan cheese is creamy my non-vegan friend tried the pizza and said she couldn t tell the difference that it was vegan cheese. Really liked the crust as well which is crispy outside and soft inside. Our server offered vegan parmesan to sprinkle on top and it was a flavourful touch. My friend had the penne capri pasta with chicken which she felt was delicious. For both menus the prices are pretty fair and reasonable. The location is a cozy vibe. always buzzing on the Saturday evenings we have visited. The hosts have kindly accommodated us quickly without a reservation, although a reservation would be better to ensure you get a table. A server noticed the light above our table was a bit bright and came over to dim it down. I really appreciate how thoughtful and welcoming the staff are. My friend (non vegan) loves this location so it has become our new spot when we get together every now and then on a Saturday night. Looking forward to continue trying the other plant based dishes!

Delicious and not overpriced

This tiny charming Italian restaurant offers gorgeous traditional Italian food that truly delights the palate. The service is impressively quick, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. However, the servers could lighten up a bit, as they tend to be a little too serious. Overall, the experience is up to scratch and well worth a visit.

Just wondering why you ask if we are celebrating a special occasion when booking our table online, if you re not going to recognize the occasion. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and mentioned this while online booking but nothing was mentioned or done. Very disappointing.

Came here before a show, staff was friendly service was a bit spacey. Atmosphere was clean but also kinda of dull and grey. We ordered the parpadelle salsiccia (spicy sausage, cherry tomatoes, caramelized onions and arugulas) and the prosciutto pizza both were good but somewhat underwhelming.

My partner and I went here for the first time in like a decade a couple nights ago. He had the pesto chicken and I had the pear and Gorgonzola pizza. They were good, no complaints. The food is average Italian and at a reasonable price. We both had tromba Palomas and that was mixed strong which was nice. The decor was soft and modern and there were plenty of tables. Overall this is a nice place to get a nice meal. The one thing and it s actually my partner who pointed it out. The immaturity of the service. It was a very young service crowed, which is fine. However, on multiple occasions my partner had to remind our server to take and bring things multiple times. He said he felt like we had to manage our own table. He may be right, there was a lot of groups of servers hanging around and chit chatting with each other. Sort of mindlessly and with no care for that guests can hear their conversations. That would be one thing to note if you are looking for top tier service, this isn t the place for that. Otherwise all is fine here. Oh, one thing that s great is their plant based menu is well outfitted and as someone who often eats plant based it was refreshing. Points for that and my plant based meal was very nice.

Always an amazing experience here. Calamari cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. Pizza options have something for even the pickiest people. Have been eating @ il Fornello for 34 years. If that doesn t say something then nothing else will !

Hosted a birthday event for 50+ guests - assortment of appetizers, pasta bar and pizzas was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

Came to Toronto from the US, and after a ten hour drive, my family and I were beat. Made our way to IL FORNELLO and had the best experience. The waitress, Suzanne, was super attentive. The menu featured plant-based options (a lot of them) for my wife. And gluten free options (for myself). I had the best gluten free crust Ive ever had for a pizza. Seriously...if you need gluten free and want pizza, check them out.

I come to Il Fornello at least once a month, and unfortunately had my first poor experience here last night. My partner and I ordered a beer each, an appetizer to share, and 2 pizzas. The beers arrived, along with our appetizer. We sat talking and realized about 25-30 minutes had gone by. Our server did not come to our table once to acknowledge we had been sitting waiting for our mains. There were 3, maybe 4 tables seated in the entire restaurant. Finally at the 30 minute mark, our sever asked another server to check in with the kitchen about our food. Again, not acknowledging us, this was just overheard. We are finished our drinks by this point; my partner s pizza is brought to the table, and I am notified my vegan pizza was made non-vegan so they had to remake it and it would take another 5 minutes. 15 minutes went by before my pizza is brought to the table. At this point, my partner s already finished his food. The manager (?) came to our table and offered for us to take the accidental, non-vegan pizza home. That was their solution to this apparently. We were then asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu.. as the bill is being brought to our table, and my partner s coat is already on. Accidents happen, orders aren t put through, kitchen s make mistakes which I understand. They were $12 margarita pizzas a nice gesture would have been removing at least mine from the $70 bill. I m very disappointed that there wasn t a better effort made to remedy the situation while we were there.

My friend and I had lunch here today and I cannot express enough how happy I am that the vegan lasagna is back. Its actually better than it was before. I recently got it for take-out also. Honestly, so incredibly delicious. I love the amount of sauce. I dont like when there isnt enough and this has the perfect amount. My friend also really enjoyed his vegan pasta.

First time at Fornello to try their Winterlicious menu. Started with the Minestrone soup, for main I got the chicken cacciatore and for dessert I had Tiramisu. I found the Winterlicious menu for the mains to be limited. It didn t really have any good pasta option. Only Spaghetti and it was plant based. They could have added at least one pasta to the menu. Another thing I found disappointing was that they don t serve bread and butter or olive oil as complimentary. Lots of Italian restaurants do. Given how expensive the food is overall, do they really have to charge $2.75 plus tax for bread and butter? Otherwise, the soup was delicious. The bread was warm and soft and perfect with the butter. The chicken was very tasty and just the right proportion. The cod was average. Their potatoes tasted really good both the mashed and the fried one. The chicken was flavourful and perfectly cooked. The tiramisu was soft and moist. As for the service and ambiance, the restaurant is really packed and it s a space not big enough to accommodate so many guests comfortably. You have to speak loudly to be able to hear each other over the other loud guests and overall it felt chaotic. Our server was good but a bit slow since she was juggling so many different tables and guests. The food came very fast though so very impressed with the kitchen staff. I would have to go back someday to try their pastas. Dietary restrictions: They have vegan and vegetarian options. They do not have any halal options.

Came here for lunch, there were 5 people in the restaurant but I was still a couple minutes late to get back from my lunch break even though work is very close by. It is not excruciatingly slow but not a place to go if you have a time limit. Table service itself was very attentive though food took a while to come out. Food and atmosphere were perfect. I had Penne capri and tiramisu. Penne capri was delicious and the tiramisu was the best I have ever had outside of Venice. I would bring friends back here just for the tiramisu. During lunch time the bowl of pasta was less than $20, this place is one of the last few with 2019 prices.

Lousy service. The waitresses had me waiting for over half hour and just ignore me four times while others were being served. I got annoyed and picked myself up walked out. I will not recommend .

nice place with open kitchen and very packed during dinner. we reserved beforehand so didn t have to wait which is good. server was really kind and understanding. first had the calamari, it was really delicious! then we had the steak and gnocchi asiago. i loved the gnocchi! it was packed with flavours and very creamy. the steak was okay, nothing too special. all over it was a nice dinner.

The vegan menu is one of the best Ive seen at any restaurant! (Aside from purely veg restaurants, that is). I had the mushroom truffle orecchiette and if was delicious. We tried the vegan caesar salad which wasnt my favourite (could have used more dressing and Im not sure about the taste of the dressing), but there are so many other things that look good on the veg menu. Would love to come back and try the smoked carrot pizza.

We placed a catering order for over 20 people in November. The service was amazing - the team proactively confirmed the order a few times and showed up at exactly the time we agreed to. The food was delicious, came hot and stayed hot for hours, and the portion sizes were big! We ordered chicken parm, eggplant parm and pasta - came with bread, butter and parm as well. Would recommend anyone use Il Fornello for catering! The entire party raved about how good the food was. Thanks Il Fornello team!

Good tasting food and reasonably priced as well. Their house red was enjoyable and easy to drink. My friend and I sat at the very first table by the window and it was SO tight/ had no table room. We had to move things off the table just so that our plates weren t resting on us. The table is VERY small for two people with two drinks and two plates. Server was friendly and service was fast. I would go back and sit at a larger, more equipped table.

Based on how my initial experience was addressed I ll certainly be back, as I do love the vegan offering and the dine-in service I ve experienced at Il Fornello in the past ***Original review below*** TL;DR Big vegan menu but the taste varies between items; some are good and some are not. Bad online order/pick-up experience with FOH staff at Danforth location. - - - It pains me to rate Il Fornello so low. I REALLY appreciate a long-standing dedicated vegan menu with so many options and so I tried it out a few times to support vegan options with my dollar. The pasta is always delicious; I ve had it at the Bayview, Danforth and King W locations. The pizza is a hit or miss I got the smoked carrot one twice and it s absolutely unbearably salty. I cannot finish a piece unless I have something on the side to somewhat balance out the salt. I tried it at the Bayview and Danforth locations within a span of 3 years, same story both times. The service at the Danforth location was simply bad. This was on Jan 18 2024 around 5pm. I placed an order online using Il Fornello s website. I got charged right away. Then when I went to pick it up at the chosen time (between 4:45-5:15) it wasn t ready. There was an older female employee at the front who had no idea about my order. After some stiff back-and-forth she told me it wasn t ready and hasn t been started yet because I ordered online. I placed the order (with a $10 / 15% tip, mind you) about 1.5 hours ago. A younger female employee came and helped find my order and apologized and reassured my order will be ready soon. She was very reassuring! But the first employee seemed unsure of what to do: she couldn t find my order at first, she was looking something up on the tablet and I could see it asked for a password that she didn t know. I waited about 20-30min after I arrived for my order because its preparation started after I arrived. The kitchen staff that I could see seemed apologetic as well and did their best to be quick, I appreciated their efforts. All in all, the experience is spotty - food can be good or not depending on your choice; service seems to vary between employees. Again, I really want to continue supporting the vegan menu and the business but truthfully, Fresh down the street has much better and consistent service and I can get comparable pizza at Libretto next door.

I recently visited IL FORNELLO and overall, it was a good experience. However, there were a few minor issues that I would like to highlight. Firstly, the bread served as appetizer was cold instead of warm which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the butter was served in those small, individual portions that are commonly seen at gas stations and low-cost hotels breakfast instead of being presented on a proper butter dish. This kind of bread I eat at home, not at a restaurant. In terms of the ambiance, the restaurant didnt have an Italian look at all. It was a bit of a mess of styles and lacked personality. However, despite this, the food itself was pretty good. I particularly enjoyed the pizza, which was delicious. Lastly, I have to say that the lady who seemed to be the owner was very nice to us. Her hospitality added to the positive experience. Overall, while there were a few minor areas of improvement, I would recommend giving IL FORNELLO a try if youre looking for good food and friendly service.

I love the food at this location. Love the appetizers and almost all of their pizzas (skip anything with meatballs unless it s the app in sauce. Otherwise they re dry). Loved nearly every pizza I ve tried here and I appreciate the variety and options. Sometimes service can be hit or miss, so I removed one star. They have a patio out front which is nicely separated from the sidewalk while still allowing for people watching. I recommend this restaurant

We went to the Danforth location and had such a great experience. My friend is vegan and she was pleasantly surprised at how many options she had to choose from and how delicious everything was. The resto was quite busy but still all of the waitstaff and hosts were friendly and efficient but my goodness Lizette and especially Olivia were just dynamite! Will one hundred percent go to Il Fornelo again. Vegetarian options: Vegan options were incredible even for non vegans.

Had such a great time and the food was beyond amazing at Il Fornello. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and enjoyed how simplistic yet well executed the dish was. The portioning was spot on, I didn t feel hungry afterward or felt the portions was too large. From the crust of the chicken, delicious tomato sauce and al dente pasta, it had everything you d expect from a great chicken parm. Not to mention, the service was great and my server was knowledgeable and attentive when giving recommendations. Looking forward to coming back again.

Very disappointed. U need to train your server to request the customer if they want to tip or not. We had lunch today and was charged 20% tip without our consent which is around $13, which is unfair and not welcoming.

Great plant based options and good value.

Came for a friends birthday party. We generally had a good time, most of our meals were pretty good. Service was great as well considering we were a larger group. We unfortunately had to send one back as it was cold, but the kitchen was nice enough to make a new one instead. Prices here are relatively reasonable for a nicer establishment. There was a lot of miscommunication though between the owner and the person who organized the event. Would recommend you double check on the day of if you plan on having any large group here.

Ive had many Italian dishes but have to admit this was byfar the Best ever. Dinner was amazing...jumbo shrimp,mussels so plump and fresh. Cant say enough praises. Definitely going on my fav restaurant list!

I m impressed that there are so many vegan options and lots of adaptations with vegan cheese but I think this restaurant has a bit of a ways to go in terms of hitting the mark. The fennel sausage pizza was okay - the sausage itself was very grainy and the texture didn t feel right, like it should be fried before thrown on the pizza. The pumpkin pasta was okay, the texture of the pasta itself was a little weird. The vegan Caesar salad was alright but could do with a spritz of lemon. Overall, glad to see lots of vegan options but needs a bit of work to enhance the flavours.

Picnic on the park Saturday night wanted to make a romantic picnic with my girlfriend and I wanted fresh and delicious hot food. So called up Il Fornello on the Danforth. Restaurant staff was excellent. They helped make a memory for us. Assisted with the order and loaned us real plates and cutlery. (Which we returned afterwards) The food was great and arrived still hot. The dropoff service at the park was made very easy by text and at curbside. Thank you to STACEY the Manager. You are real standout!

We brought my Mom for her birthday and our server Olivia. Was absolutely spectacular. She was lovely. I would recommend asking for her by name. She certainly deserves a raise. We can not praise her enough. The vegan options are amazing. Only place I know of that can do a really really good gluten free pizza crust.

Great vegan options, we tried two pasta options and both were tasty and comes in a good sized portion. Unfortunately they didn t have vegan desserts and the only non-alcoholic beer is a sour one which I didn t like. Also we went in a Saturday night and it was a bit crowded and noisy, next time will make sure to go in a less busy time. Service was great and I ll definitely come back again.

So this has been a family favourite for years, we love the food, and the staff... up until our recent experience. About a month ago, we ended up going to IL fornelo on a whim, so we did not have a reservation. The girl at the front kindly greeted us and took us to an available table inside. We were there for about 10ish minutes when I noticed a commotion with the server, and I what I think is the supervisor. The supervisor rushed over with an aggressive tone and accused us of walking in and stealing someones reservation and made us get up for another group. The getting up part was not the issue. It was the way she barged over and her accusing tone. It was quite unfortunate. She couldve come over and just explained there was a seating error, and we wouldve gladly gotten up and waited for another seat. The whole thing left a bitter taste in our mouths.

Best vegan pizza I have ever had!

Had a great Sunday lunch with a group of four for about $150 after tax and tip (no beverages). Had the calamari and meatball appetizers, the papardelle salisiccia, fig pizza, vegan pepperoni pizza and a mini margherita pizza with the avocado Caesar. Everyone loved the experience, thought the food and vibe of the restaurant was great. Pizza dough had a great texture, better than most, and the group favourite was definitely the fig pizza, perfect blend of salty and sweet. I recommend adding the offered parm to the pasta to give it a little salty kick and chili oil for all the pizza. Calamari needed a bit more seasoning though the vegan pepperoni was very well spiced. The cashew cheese however wasn t my personal fave, had a bit of a distinct taste that overpowered the rest of the bite but the rest of my party thought it was good for plant based cheese. I wish we had more room for dessert but overall, the portions were great for the cost. Definitely recommend coming here for your next meal on the danforth! One note for the kitchen/service if possible, the pizzas could have been hotter arriving at the table. Try firing them as a group or one after another as closely as possible. Timing is tough with larger groups but that was the only criticism. My group was also sharing so we would have been fine with the food served as it was cooked vs waiting for everything all at once. Servers can specify with the table to help alleviate that strain in the kitchen staff. Vegetarian options: There are LOTS of vegetarian options and a while plant based menu for vegan items.

I definitely recommend this place! My partner and I went on a Tuesday and they have 12 dollar pizza deals! The staff were super nice. We split the Pizza Diavola and Gnocchi Asiago, both delicious! The pizza was thinned crust and full of flavour. The gnocchi was super rich and creamy, I had enough for leftover the next day. The portions are a filling size.

Woooow! Best food ever!

Il Fornello is a wonderful restaurant. The food is very good and I love the energy and location on the Danforth. My server was cheery and attentive. I would have loved for my gnocchi to be served hot. The gnocchi was delicious but not served warm enough to melt the parmesan cheese that was added right when the dish was delivered to the table. My last visit reminded me how much I enjoy coming here.

The food wasnt that great for vegetarians....I wouldnt go to this place again

I m glad they have a great plant-based menu, lots of options to choose from. The fungi orecchiette was creamy, aromatic and flavourful. The spaghetti with heura chicken, mushroom, spinach and cherry tomatoes was the second dish that I tried (minus one star for being quite oily). I wish they had more plant-base desserts. Tried the coconut-based crème brûlée but it wasn t impressive (the burnt sugar layer was way too thick and the crème was more jelly-like and not smooth/creamy). However, I will come back to try their plant-based pizza offerings.

Exceptionally delicious gluten-free pasta. Ordered the Penne Capri.

An overall great, not excellent, experience. Server was lovely and patient and informative. Food was quite tasty; garlic bread, three different pasta dishes and a pizza, all vegan. The pizza was a little underdone; couldn t pick it up without it collapsing on itself. Each pasta was unique but sadly mine was excessively oily so much so that the next day, after having sat in the porous paper take-home container, it managed to leak oil all over my bag when it briefly became lopsided. It started raining near the end of the night/close but no one put out the awning or any umbrellas. Luckily enough tables had cleared that we just moved to a still-dirty empty one.

The food is standard quality for an Il Fornello, but the prices are insulting. $18 for a $2 bowl of pasta with $1.50 worth of sauce, and $6.50 to add less than 1 oz. of chicken. While it was a busy Friday, and they were full, service was not good. I had to ask our waitress THREE times for the bill. After waiting and waiting, I went inside from the patio and told her that we need the bill. After a while more I asked another waitress to tell OUR waitress that we need the bill. Eventually I had to go in and tell her that we are late for a show, at which point she said OH I didnt know hat you were late for a show, sorry which basically means I felt comfortable de-prioritizing you while I serve my inside tables, and though I would get away with it. Meanwhile, a group of thee leaving the restaurant walked past us on the patio murmuring she didnt give us any attention, she barely came around etc. I immediately felt sympathy for them. Either the waitstaff need to be re-trained, or the management needs to have more staff on shift for the rush periods. Either way the manager of this location has a lot to answer for!

A sensational experience. I used to attend here years and years ago. This place was improved. It was obvious that Olivia was the right person for the front of house. She was detailed and knowledgable about the menu, add ons to the menu and what to pair as a drink. I left very pleased with the experience. Olvias attention to every detail was so much more than expected. BRAVO

There is a page of plant based menu!Appreciated! Pros - tried Plant Based Spaghetti Capri came with plant based Heura Chicken which is my first time Ive tried it. Impressed and p.b. chicken texture was good! I think Heura is a trend. Cons - the dish was too oily. I didnt notice until I finished half of the dishes but will come and try for other plant based dishes. Vegetarian options: There is a page of plant based menu

The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. Its just a bit too noisy for my liking, hard to have a conversation. Would still go back, but maybe a different location may be less busy. Parking: If driving and going for a prime-time dinner slot, make sure to arrive early to have enough time to snag a decent parking spot.

They have a separate menu for vegans! I had ordered the vegan pappardelle and plant based crème brûlée as desert. The food was delicious! Highly recommend if you are traveling to Toronto.

Our server Olivia was awesome. She was friendly, and checked with us regularly if we needed anything. I was impressed how she was efficiently serving/handling several tables inside the restaurant and on the patio. Thank you Olivia for your great service

Very nice Italian restaurant. Great pizza wood burning oven. Really good pasta dishes and lasagna. Tiramisu large enough for two!

Loved it, the pasta special was spaghetti carbonara and the bacon was abundant. My toddler shared some spaghetti with meatballs and we couldnt believe how much she ate, she loved it.

Great vegan menu!

It never disappoints

The restaurants menu is very complete. The starters are delicious and fragrant. However, the main dishes leave something to be desired. They are good, but not spectacular. I found the food a little more greasy than it should be. The pesto is almost inedible. The carbonara is just ok and the gnocchi has a very cloying sauce. Despite this, I would return to the restaurant to try other dishes on the menu. Maybe we were unlucky, lol.

Very pricey for the quantity of protein that was in our two pasta dishes. Noisy restaurant, hard to have a conversation while eating. Calamari tasted great but was a bit greasy. Service was excellent.

The place is very cozy, the service is good, the lady who served us was very friendly. The pizza took a while to arrive but it was worth it, as it was very delicious. It is a good place to eat and enjoy the sunset if you are on the terrace, the atmosphere is calm.

Delicious food. Lasagna was made with beef sauce and was fresh. They have many tasty vegan options which my friend enjoyed too. Good space for parties. The patio was comfortable too.

The pizza was very good and got nice deal! We tried Hawaiian and Salami, both cheese and meat was to the point. The atmosphere was a little dark but maybe that s the vibe they want to create

Loved this place back in the 90s and still holds strong. Great service, good food and a comfortable dining experience. Went again after 4pm Mon-Fri, they have an assortment of specially priced Pizzas for $12.99 and it is such a good deal and so yummy! I highly recommend the Diavola. No fault of their own, the servers were over worked and did not have enough time to refill our water and came with pepper and cheese halfway through the meal. 4 stars for service has nothing to do with our servers, it was again understaffing by Management and should really give better employee incentives and hire more staff during peak periods than expect their clients to pay for server salaries with a heightened tips schedule. Anyway, this is common to the entire restaurant industry in Toronto and not specific to Il Fornello. Slowly weening away from eating out, the experience is getting less and less appealing. Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free option for pasta and it is quite good.

Loved the vegan dinner

The brownies were more like cliff protein bars and the tiramisu contained an unknown secret ingredient that overpowered the taste of the dessert. The pizza arrived deconstructed and the toppings werent a bit cluttered but overall ok. For the price was underwhelming Vegetarian options: Vegan options

I had dinner with some friends, the food was so delicious, the server Emma was incredibly attentive, kind and just all around fun, I highly recommend this location, cant wait to come back

noisy, not relaxed at all, the potato leek soup was a mess of oil and who knows what! the pizzas mediocre at best do disappointing! prices high and I hate to pay for something that is not worth it, I am having problems with all the restaurants that miss the mark and the quality is not there! freshness neither I am so sad for il fornello and all my go-to places!

Sat down at table for three for dinner and was served by someone in a green shirt, did not appear to be a typical server as they were dressed differently perhaps the manager? They were nice and friendly, took our orders and that was it. Never returned for refills on water, and never came around again to check on the table. When the food arrived once again zero check-ins or two-bite checks. Dinner service at 730ish was slow with a few tables but there were many staff. Our server was congregating at the bar talking and chatting who was 5ft from the table but too busy to check. When they finally did come by after two of us had finished eating, they did not ask how our meals were or if everything was alright but immediately pushed the dessert menus. If we are going to be paying over 27.00 for an entree of pasta at minimum we expect the above bare minimum service.
