Classic Southern Italian dishes, plus a small, curated wine list, in a cozy exposed-brick space.
Came here for a work holiday party. From the friendly welcome to the absolute top notch service from our two main servers throughout the night. They were an absolute delight! And then of course the food! From the salads, arrincini, pasta, pizza and dessery, everything was top notch. The drinks were delicious, Purple Rain made the top of the list but Lily was a close second! Old fashioned was a bit too sweet for my liking but to each their own. Thank you for the hospitality. Will definitely be back 😊
the service and atmosphere of the place was amazing so kudos for that! had a great time at dinner with a friend. However for the price, the portion was very disappointing. I got the pizza which is totally worth it and was cooked to perfection. My friend got the pasta and the portion was so small, i was surprised!
Thank you to Giuseppe for guiding us through the Tasting Menu.. Chef Costa did an amazing job in preparing hot delicious food that we all loved.. We all appreciated the time and effort he put into it.. The server Tea was professional and personable and took great care of us.. I would suggest TASTING MENU for anyone wanting a taste of Italy without flying there.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at an incredible Italian restaurant, and it was an experience to remember! Every dish was bursting with flavor and prepared with such care that it felt like a true celebration of Italian cuisine. We started with a salad featuring creamy burrata, caramelized pear, and fresh greens—a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The pizza was a masterpiece, with a thin, crispy crust and rich toppings that made every bite a delight. The duck leg served with tender beans was cooked to perfection, offering a wonderful mix of textures and flavors. The halibut, paired with a fragrant herb and bacon , was a standout dish—light, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. The seafood pasta was another highlight, with fresh, perfectly cooked seafood and a flavorful sauce that tied it all together. Every dish felt fresh, thoughtfully crafted, and made with love. This restaurant truly captures the essence of Italian cooking, and I can’t wait to return!
It was really an average experience. Very few vegetarian options and moreover Vegetarian pasta was under Al Dante, thick chewy pasta. Sweet Potato salad ordered did not come at all. Cappachino was good. Pistachio Canolo dessert was just average. I have had better desserts at Italian Restaurants.
Went here for lunch on my last day in Toronto. The waterfront area is full of Italian restaurants and this was relatively close to the parking garage we were in. House made bread and Pasta were fantastic. I went into it thinking pizza but when I saw the Chitarra alla Norcina I couldn't pass it up. It was absolutely fantastic and I could have eaten like four plates.
Food was good - great spot for a casual lunch or date. Loved that they put me at the table with all the saints watching :)
Excellent Italian dining experience with easy adapting to my dairy allergy for pizza. The truffle pasta was a definite highlight for my husband.
Average venue and average service. If you expected warm service you d be better off elsewhere. The food is good but for the price you can for sure find better in this city.
Booked the chefs table experience at La Bettola but when we arrived we learned that there was a misunderstanding, it is not offered in December, Without missing a beat, our gracious server Christo, and Chef Costa nevertheless put together a wonderful dinner for our table of eight. Grazie mille Christo and Chef Costa, ci vediamo prestissimo!!
My brother sent me a beautiful box of delicious gourmet Italian food. Everything was wrapped beautifully and we are enjoying everything so much! The box he chose is called Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle and is filled with sweet and savory treats and condiments, all of a very high quality.
It was hopping on a fri lunch. I had some very tasty pasta. My mother says the scallops were great. Food : 4/5
Tried the scallop and eggplant dish. absolutely loved the scallop! It was perfectly cooked.. easily a 9/10. Bread was mid
Havent been since pre-covid and am disappointed with the decline of quality and portions, as well as the increase in price. Obviously prices will change but the quality and portions should be consistent with that and it wasnt. I didnt even finish the cacio e pepe which used to be my fave dish!
Pretty authentic Italiano munchies
Wonderful food and service.
Food delicious and Jenny really nice
I had an absolutely wonderful dinner here, All of the food was amazing especially the portobello mushroom And both the carpaccios, they tasted so amazing!! The service was also quite nice!!
Visited this restaurant in busy time, service was ok but waited for our table for a while! Carpaccio was good, but hand made pasta was a disappointment:( Buratta was ok, calamari was too salty! Why no balsamic vinegar can be found at this restaurant! Very small portions. Very noisy place.
The worst pasta ever. Too salty, I cannot even swallow. Wasted my $100 for this terrible food. Overpriced.
Typical itslian eatery overpriced you can afford to eat out, pay extra for it, and like it nonsense. It was fine.. Food
We went there yesteday and the food was fabulous. We didn t have reservations, however, the hostess was able to find us a perfect spot Can t wait to go back. Great Italian food.
Everything was good. Accessible, washrooms and entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: Push button entrance. Groundfloor washrooms have small doors. Food : 5/5 |
Amazing Experience at the chefs table.
Super place Had a very good lunch Vegetarian options: A very good veg choice if pasta and pizza Being a south indian chennaite-madarasi and being Friday we had only pure veg options today and the food was Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: May be
It s ridiculously loud but we go for the food, which is always excellent.
Pre theatre night dinner. Service was on point. Christo was a first class waiter. Got everything perfect. Food was excellent. Great wine options. Pasta special was excellent a duck ragu in a house pasta. Peach panzanella was beautiful. Desserts were so yum. Skip the pizza here. Only items that didnt wow me. Will be back. @foodreviewca
Went for a business lunch, good and service was great.
Oh Terroni...how far you have fallen! All we asked for was a spoonful of marinara/red sauce/a scoop of whatever you had available, to accompany our arrancinni and sadly you would not accommodate . I asked for clarification....you had the sauce available however the kitchen/chef/management all refused to bow to a customer request , rather stating emphatically that the traditional dish is not served this way. Ok, we understand but may we please still have a spoonful of sauce? NO Clearly you chefs s wishes or managements penny pinching are more important than customer service. Astounding!
Bleh. This was my second time there. First time it was blah but I wanted to give it one more try. Second time was even worse. The food had no flavor. Two of us had pizza and one had a pasta. It was all bland. The restaurant is also very noisy. Its impossible to carry a conversation there. I would not recommend. Kid-friendliness: Not a kid friendly place.
Dropped in for lunch as I have done many times. For was good. Service - not so much. Waited at the bar for 10 mins to receive the most miserable server. $50 for lunch is not cheap in my opinion. Why serve it with a scowl? No beverage offer. Claimed the restaurant did not serve butter (served it gladly on other occasions). Disappointing experience all round.
Very good food
We had dinner at this nice restaurant thanks to the recommendation of a friend. Food, service and quality beyond expectations. La bettola is a restaurant located in the center, the rich menu offers Italian food. Very nice waiters and the chef, Costantino, made our dinner wonderful thanks to his timely advice. We left the restaurant full and fully satisfied. Definitely one of the best places in Toronto where we ate, with good value for money. Everything perfect: location, service and above all the cuisine. Greetings from Sicily.
I visited Bettola for dinner tonight and was shocked by the behavior of one of the senior servers (bald man). I saw him yelling at the other server in a very demeaning and aggressive manner. It was uncomfortable to watch and ruined my dining experience. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and needs to be addressed by management. I hope this situation is resolved so that future diners don t have to witness such unprofessional conduct.
True Sicilian cuisine!
Amazing pasta. Had the clams spaghetti and the truffles pasta, which blew us away. We were perfectly full with the addition of some appys, of which we chose the meatballs and arancini.
Party of 2. We had the Pizza Rustica and the Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci with Rapini on the side. The food was fantastic. On the inside, the restaurant very much suits the bettola name with a cozy, cool interior. Our server spoke Italian which really added to the authenticity of the experience. He was also very knowledgeable of the wine selection and he provided a great recommendation (his name now slips my mind so I m unable to offer a shoutout). Overall, a great experience and will definitely be returning.
What a disappointment. The atmosphere was one long common table with the chairs so tight you were touching the people beside you. You couldn t hear the people came with over the 12 other strangers you were sitting with. The service was so slow that our food never came out before we had to leave. We waited over one hour and it still wasn t ready, so we ended up going to our event without eating. It wasn t just our order as we could see others were having the same experience. I put a one star for food but I can t honestly rate it as we did not get any food. Clearly something was happening in the kitchen where they couldn t keep up with the demand. The sever was nice, I actually felt sorry that she worked there. She spent the night apologizing to customers.
Excellent pizza and relaxed atmosphere both for eating and for a drink
Excellent food, service, and great atmosphere
Very nice Italian restaurant, very good food and nice staff.
The eggplant parm pizza is one of the best in the city!
A great location and an atmosphere that lets me know they want to create a moment for their guests. I had the chefs pizza special and was not disappointed. Wonderful cocktails and stellar service!
Quality Italian food, attentive and timely service and lively atmosphere
Excellent food and service, the music is a bit too loud.
Came here on a Treat Yourself date. Went there by myself without a reservation, got seated at the bar immediately even at peek dinner time. Orderd a Negroni (excellent, by the way!!!) from the Barkeeper, who was very charming and knowledgeable. I couldnt decide what to eat after browsing the menu so I asked Richie (said bartender) for some pointers. In the end, I just asked him to order his favorite dishes and let Jesus take the Wheel. It was stunning!!! We started off with the Pulpo. Usually not the biggest fan, but it was cooked to. Perfection, soft and juicy on the thick parts and nice and crispy on the ends. Literally wiped that plate clean. Pasta with burnt courgettes and parmesan was next... I was dancing at my seat happy as a clam I asked for a dry white wine to pair it with, let me say it did not disappoint. Finished off the meal with a lemon sorbet and a house cocktail... I am definitely coming back here to stuff myself like a foie gras goose!!
The food was great, portions were small, expensive considering portion sizes, location and atmosphere very good
Not happy with the food or salad. Service is excellent. Nice restaurant for groups and couples. Great wine selections. Maybe stick to the pizza and appetizers and pare with great wine. Vegetarian options: Not many options, but they do accommodate.
Great food but a lot of back ground noise
You enjoy the real Italian food, with professional chef and host but on expensive side!
Good place with interesting decoration and a high-end Italian restaurant atmosphere. The service is not particularly good. Pretty slow for lunch time; we had to call repeatedly to ask for more water, bread, order the food and ask for the bill. The portions are specially small. The squash and braised beef ravioli dishes come in a very small portion and we all left hungry. The food quality is really good, and the pizzas are amazing.
Thank you for this beautiful moment. We felt like we were in Italy. the pasta was aldente. Simply perfect Merci pour ce beau moment. Nous avions limpression dêtre en Italy. the pâtes are aldente. Simple parfait
I had the cacio e pepe and it was divine. Their espresso martinis are pretty solid too. I didnt catch our servers name, but he was phenomenal! Very attentive and made great recommendations!! Food
Very nice spot for lunch or dinner. The food was good and the service was excellent.
Great food, service and ambiance. What more do you need? Thank you.
Josh and Team took care of my daughter s 16th birthday party and they had a really great time
Great pasta!
Frito Misto was terrible. Ordered it for takeout portion size was incredibly small I literally finished it in two minutes. Will not order again. Sticking with Terroni Adelaide their calamari is MUCH better and the portions are actually reasonable
Always solid, perfect pre-Elgin Wintergreen show.
It is a really nice place. The pasta is authentic and all the flavours were delicious. We were a group of 18 and ordered so many things that I lost track of the items, but I didn t hear anyone complaining. But I would definitely recommend the mushroom appetizer! Food
Good food. Really very friendly and helpful server. Full enough to feel relaxed and fun, not so full it feels overcrowded. Recommended
Was here for a large group event and the service was great! They were very attentive while not hovering over the table. Food was great and family style courses were delivered with great timing through the course of the dinner. Highly recommend.
Quaint atmosphere, good food and service
Service was terrible Full house our group had a concert booked. We had to waive guy to order cocktails waited 30 min for app and another 40 min for main course when it came we asked for bill didnt think we would get that in time either. Basic dinner no time for desserts or coffee it was brutal. Pizza came and looks like they threw a handful of raw mushrooms before serving. My first time and was terrible.
Vegetarian options: Great Food, Great Service . would highly recommend!
whoever is giving good reviews to this place is actually horrible the pizza was disgusting i paid $25 for rubbery pizza the only edible part was the crust we paid $30 for 6 pieces or ravioli worst spending of my life
Great food, even tho the pizza oven was down =( 4 stars because the pasta we had was heavily seasoned with salt, too much so. Arancini, tartar, and coffee afterwards were all excellent! Food
Delicious home made pasta. Fresh ingredients daily. Fresh baked bread. Great service. Nice place for a first date, date night or business meetings. Lots of baby boomers. Not ideal for family dining. Parking: Green P across from st. Michael hospital on queen. Kid-friendliness: Not ideal for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible to get in and out; but washroom might be tough.
A wonderful restaurant with a great ambience. The staff knows how to take care of you and the price is low in my opinion, considering the quality. A great place to stop before a show or just to have a nice meal. Highly recommended
One of the best Italian places in Toronto. We had parmigiana pizza and Burrata Ravioli, both were just amazing. We did not have to wait to get a table and food arrived pretty quickly. Highly recommended.
Amazing! What a fantastic experience we had here. The atmosphere is warm, the service was outstanding and the food fantastic! We were looking for a place that served fresh pasta. This place delivered! We felt the prices matched the quality of the food. Only suggestion would be the scallop appetizer ( although delicious) either lower the price or add more scallops! We will definitely be returning.
Food was delicious, wine was superb, and we had a wonderful waiter named Francisco who took such great care of us during the service. The chef is absolutely phenomenal. Would definitely recommend coming here.
Perfect in everything, I highly recommend visiting this place.
Came here for a business dinner. The waitress was attentive and provided good service. The food ordered all tasted good. Food : 4/5
Visited 5x before and favoured the Ct Mang pizza which I asked for before making a reservation. While they assured me it was still available, apparently it is only available at Terronis locations. Had an antipasti and different pizza which was not nearly as good. Deserts were above average but not extraordinary. Interesting and unique selection of wines. On previous visits, we were served by women who were engaging. This evening it was all men who frankly seemed disinterested in the customer and only in fulfilling their serving obligations. Dinner for two with 1 glass of wine each, shared antipasti, shared pizza, 2 desserts + tip = $144. Next time Ill book @ Terronis.
What a weird dining experience for Valentine s day. I had a 8:45pm reservation and the moment I arrived, it was clear this place was a mess. They had no tables and there was a big backup of people waiting for their reservations. They weren t managing the line at all and I eventually weaseled my way to the front to check in - which it turns out didn t make a difference. Once we realized that she was seating people we had met in line with a 9pm reservation, we realized that she wasn t going by reservation time at all but just frantically trying to clear the swarm of people in front of her. I ve been to this type of urban Italian restaurant before and I ve been to Terroni on Adelaide a number of times (which I thought this would be like), and thought based on reviews this could be a maybe more intimate dining experience but from the onset, couldn t believe they just didn t have arrival sorted, especially on a night like Valentine s Day. From the moment you walked in, it was clear their only interest was making as much money as possible and had almost no focus on the customer experience. For dinner, we had a table near the door which we were ushered to once we pointed out she was seating people ahead of us with later reservation times. Seating was cumbersome - we were just about pointed to our table to use. Nobody asked to take our coats or really had any place to put them. Dirty napkins were still under the table when we sat so I pushed them to the edge of the table so someone might notice them. So, after maybe 20 minutes of waiting from our reservation time, we took a seat. We would have waited at the bar with a cocktail but realized the entire bar was setup for dining so we couldn t even wait there as they dealt with this apparently unexpected list of reservations. Service was mixed. Our waitress was good, to be honest. She had good energy and was managing her section well, even though she was quite busy. The rest of the service was, for lack of a better word, gruff. Plates were pretty much slammed down on our table in a mitigated rush when they arrived (no joke- they hit the table loudly). Appetizers- we had the carrots and eggplant. The appetizers were probably the best part of the meal. It would have been nice if they had offered to refresh the bread alongside the eggplant dish, which was cooked in a tomato sauce. Both dishes were well made - so props to whoever in the kitchen was making the apps. In a nutshell, the entrees were bland. I m a big fan of well made cacio e pepe so got excited to see it on the menu. When it s done well, the sauce is creamy with strong flavours of pepper, sometimes with large cracked pepper pieces. My dish was gritty and somewhat separated (a little pasta water was left on the plate, forcing me to remix it into a sauce, showing how hastily it was made) and had almost no pepper in it at all, either in flavour or visibly, let alone what would approach the classical Roman dish. It was almost like a hastily made parmesan mac and cheese - the pasta, however, was cooked well and was just slightly al dente. My date ordered a pasta dish with some seafood (maybe clams) which he also mentioned was quite bland. I noticed but didn t mention how few actual pieces of seafood his dish included. The pasta was similar to what you might order for a kid opposed to strong flavours - butter and parsley. (Our entrees really didn t look like the other photos in Google reviews, which had contributed to me choosing here in the first place.) In all, I was kind of embarrassed to have chosen here to eat based on my previous experiences at Terroni on Adelaide, thinking a lower key and maybe more intimate restaurant would maybe suit our night better than a more dedicated prix fixe meal for the night at the two other restaurants I was considering, which despite that we needed to dine a little later, I wish now I had. Maybe it was just the Valentine s Day rush, but as a new diner here, based on my experience, I wouldn t choose to come here again and cannot recommend it.
We got a reservation and even then we had to wait 30 minutes to get our table. There were at least six couples in front of us waiting too and very little space to wait. I understand this can happen but when I ve been in that situation staff has been very kind and sometimes we ve been even offered an aperitif to wait. Once we got our table everything was average which we didn t expect from this place given previous recommendations. Perhaps we were unlucky that day.
The carrot appetizer with the pistachio pesto and yogurt was nice. Our cocktails were ok but small and expensive. My gnocchi was unfortunately cold. Looks like you are better off getting the pizza. They cant mess it up. The tiramisu was too small to share and youre paying $12. If you are going to spend this much $ on Italian food, you should go somewhere else.
I had pizza, ravioli and cream bulé. Everything was delicious, especially the pizza. I wish they had more fruity cocktails though.
I work in the same building where the restaurant is located and have dined there hundreds of time in the past 10 years. While historically my review has been overall positive, that was not the case for my dinner tonight. My son ordered the gnocchi as usual but instead of pillowy soft, today s dish was way too mushy. While we asked the kitchen boy who delivered the plate, he lectured us that this is how gnocchi is supposed to be and just walked away. Later the waitress tried to explain that the gnocchi in this location tends to be more soft than usual and offered to replace it with orecchiette. I am not convinced it is always mushy as we have ordered the same gnocchi before as well as most of other terroni franchises but at least the waitress made the efforts vs the kitchen boy literally implied that do you even know how gnocchi is supposed to be?
I came here the other night before a show to have a nice meal with friends. To start the service was awful. Our waitress ignored us and for the first 10mins we were not even offered water. We then waited another 20mins to actually place our order because our servers AND the surrounding servers ignored my table. And I mean this by no exaggeration. They looked at us wave towards them and walked around us looking to serve other tables and provide them with what they had asked for before even considering coming towards us. Eventually, we asked another server if we could order. They said For sure, just give me a second. She never came back, we watched her serve drinks and take orders from two other tables and did not make eye contact with us for the duration of our meal. Finally we were able to order, I confirmed with the server that we would be out of there in at most an hour to make it on time for our show. Before leaving, she said she would bring some bread. The bread never came. Our food arrived, another 15mins later and still no bread. The food was subpar, unsalted and would taste better if you made it at home. I ordered a vongole dish that tasted like soap. No amount of salt or chili peppers could save that dish. The other plates at the table were unimpressive and borderline tasteless. Of course, we had to ask 3 different people for salt and chili flakes. So we didn t eat for the first 10mins after being served. Upon leaving a guest at another table dropped and broke a glass. I watched as our server, another server and the hostess had no urgency to clean it up, nor did they even warn other guests that there was broken glass all over the floor. As they strolled to get a broom I watched another 2 guests come from the bathroom and realize too late that they were stepping on broken glass. One of them even tried to move a large piece out of the pathway so that they could walk. Overall this was a terrible dining experience. I had high hopes for this place as I had been here before without any issue. Would not recommend. Would not come back.
Solid, reliable
dropped by with a reso before a show and was super accommodating when we asked to change tables. vibes and atmosphere was cute & upscale at a great location. we found the service to be super attentive and quick with getting the apps & mains out. unfortunately, all our mains didn t come out as well as we d like (considering the price point) with all being a little too al dente. we concluded the pizza was our favourite and would be the only thing we d try more of.
The food is always good and the atmosphere is great. They are always able to accommodate large bookings with short notice and welcome you with a pleasant attitude. Thanks for always providing a great experience!
Very tasty, good Italian spot
Amazing food, amazing service!
Delicious food and great atmosphere.
Great food and atmosphere. Servers were fast and great. Food was great.
Food was pretty good and consistent but noticed the quality has declined in the past year and service has definitely gone worse.
Had dinner and drinks here before going to show at Massey hall. Staff was very accommodating and let us have our table earlier. Food was amazing and so was the service! Food
Wow amazing food, service and atmosphere. I extremely recommended this place.
Will definitely be back. The food is AMAZING!! Service was phenomenal and atmosphere was perfect!
The pasta was under-salted, to not say unsettled at all. The pesto sauce was not salted at all, which resulted in a grass-tasting sauce. You can tell quality ingredients are used, the pasta is fresh and well made, but the lack of salt makes the flavors not as enhanced as Im used to in Italian cuisine. At the very least, the pasta water needs to be salted. The olive oil used is a bit harsh (strong, bitter) which you can subtly taste. The price is a bit much, considering that the food could be more refined with little added touches. The tiramisu is very good.
the server showed his smile only at the end when a decent cash tips was given. I understand the kitchen wants a minimal change of dishes...but refused to hold the black pepper on aside for a Cacio et pepe? seriously?! Food
Perfect little spot for authentic Italian! The staff was super friendly and attentive. They were eager to answer questions and suggest foods from the menu. The food was delightful! Delicate and filling without making you feel heavy! We even had room for dessert. The cocktails were also very tasty! There is a great selection of other drinks too. I will definitely be back.
Great food. Comforts of home. Good wine list
Both food and service are subpar. Pizza is ok. Fried oyster mushroom is incredible salty. Pastas taste like store bought and the sauce is very bland. Server is very irresponsible and mean.
IMO the best Terroni I ve been too. And I ve been to all of them in the city. Food was great, drinks decent. Calamari with shrimp was a highlight! Pasta with sausage & truffle was good too for the price point!
My daughter and I just happened upon this welcoming, fun restaurant and ended up having the nicest evening! The wine and food were reminiscent of our years in Italy (making us long to be back in Italia) and the staff including manager Josh and executive chef Costantino made us feel special yet at home. I absolutely recommend a night at Bettola di Terroni slow down and enjoy a meal, some great vino and definitely try the cannoli! Vegetarian options: We requested a pizza without salsiccia and the kitchen was happy to accommodate and the pizza was incredible!!
Very expensive for a salad. And the waiter was not Nice in my opinion
The clam spaghetti was terrible i can t stand the fishy smell. Also the Ravioli taste like kitty canned food Pizza is good tho Food
Very good food, very good Service.
Appetizers very good and tasty; pasta dishes very bland.
Wonderful little restaurant in the heart of T.O, amazingly quick and friendly service. Highly recommend stopping in for dinner if your in the area.
Great Italian spot
Three of the dishes were missing flavor without any spices Vegetarian options: They have some options Food : 1/5 |
One of the best dinners we ve enjoyed in a long time. The ambience is warm and welcoming as is the staff. The service is impeccable. Bravo and thank you La Bettola di Terroni team! Our anniversary was perfect!
Great food, great service.
Came here for a work lunch things. Duck ragu pappardelle was good but hard to tell it was actually duck. The texture of the pasta was spot on. Enjoyed the mushroom salad. The grilled octopus on palenta was pretty good but lacked seasoning (salt) on both. Tasted the chocolate mousse and tiramisu, both were pretty good. So overall, Id give it a 4.
Used to love the food at this place but have noticed the quality drop the last few times I visited. My bufalina pizza didn t have much sauce on it and it was dried out and there wasn t much cheese on it either. My friend ordered the spaghetti and she said it lacked flavour. Not sure what s happening here but this no longer tastes like authentic Italian food and it s definitely not worth the price.
Great authentic Italian food
Delicious, authentic Italian food. Great staff and service, very attentive. Great atmosphere
Nice ambiance but nothing too special about their food.
The host was lovely and gave us a table even without a reservation. The waiters were efficient but did not look happy to be there at all and a younger one seemed to be dropping plates of food about an inch before the table surface which may have been an accident but it happened repeatedly. The food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and the washroom was too.
A bit noisy and reasonable service. Food is fab!
Excellent place for lunch. Delicious pasta.
Above average prices, below average portions. The bread basket (when it finally arrived at our table) contained three small pieces of bread and a shot-glass sized container of olive oil for the three of us to share. The salad appetizer and entré were both tasty, but nothing memorable, and again, they were both on the smaller side. The ambiance was nice but a bit loud, making dinner conversations difficult. Our waiter was very personable. Vegetarian options: Very limited selection of vegetarian options, and I dont believe there were any vegan options. There were, however, several reminders of no substitutions.
We had our dinner last night in this place and over all this place was amazing but my server Dominic was such an sweet heart. She was very attentive and knowledgeable, she recommended really delicious dishes for us n drinks. Her recommendation for wine was perfect combination with my meal. My husband truly enjoy. We will definitely come back here.
Excellent and friendly service with a smile. Food was delish. Richie and Sara at the Bar took excellent care of us and entertained us! We can t wait to go back!
I even booked the table but they let us sit very close to other customers. Fried Calamary is the worst calamary I ever had. Never try calamary here, too blend, no sauce and smaller than the price. Pasta was awesome though.
We ordered San Georgio pizza and Fettuccine with bolognese. Pizza was ok and not as good as I lused to like it from previously dinning at Terroni. Fettuccine bolognese looked unappealing. It was covered with oil and very little meat. I asked for a little more meat sauce but the kitchen said they cant add more sauce and said they can redo the Fettuccine so it doesnt look dry. I canceled the order in the end. I remember the same problem I had dinning at Terroni on Queen Street about 5 years ago.
Food was very good but like so many restaurants in downtown Toronto not worth the money they charge.
The food is meh.
Our food was bad and service was even worse. I love vongole but they made it so bad. The pasta was below al dente no flavor what so ever. When i did ask the server for some anchovy sauce to add to it she said they don t have it, but it was served with our appetizer. And when i didn t explain it she said they don t give it. After asking for salt and pepper to give some flavor to my food she rudely said if you don t like we can make something else. I then ordered the Rustica which was decent. The ravioli ordered by my partner wasn t good. Tasted like frozen ravioli just tossed in butter. Its is ok to use frozen product but atleast put some effort in the sauce. We were a table of 9 and almost everyone left disappointed. At no point did a manger do a quality check. It was a friday night so i am just assuming all the staff was working.
Food was great. I had the beef ravioli and it was cooked to perfection. The beef was tender and flavourful but not over-powering.
Attended for dinner before a theatre performance. Service was on point, food was exceptional. Will definitely be coming back!
Portions are very measured (s) food is tasty. Tira misu excellent. Restaurant is way too loud, not just voices but heating vents above our table made our conversation inaudible. Service, not great. As the waitress served our pizza, it slid off of the plate onto our table! They brouggt us another but still charged for delay. A first for everything
Poor service, our waiter sounded like she was serving her friend s table, she did not care at all. Food was below average for a Italian restaurant and there was not a lot of vegetarian options. They did not allow us to wine taste either which I haven t seen at any other restaurant specially Italian. I wouldn t go back or recommend as there are many many great Italian restaurants around the city with great food and this place was just disappointing.
Decent pasta and good service, but with the same price you can definitely get better food elsewhere. Dessert was perhaps the most disappointing element - tasted like store-bought dessert that s been in the fridge for too long.
The food was ok. My ravioli wasnt hot. Portions are smaller than the last time I was there. But the prices have gone up. Our server was pretty good in the beginning, but as the restaurant filled up, it was difficult to get his attention. Food
Lovely food, great atmosphere and good service. Had a lovely dinner at La Bettola Di Terroni a few weeks ago. The buffalo mozzarella appetizer is delicious and the main course pasta dishes are delightful! Extensive wine selection too! Would recommend.
Excellent Italian restaurant. Caprese salad and pasta were very well prepared.
A solid meh for food, service and price.
This experience was so bad I had to write this review while sitting at the table. We were in a rush and looked up this exact locations menu online so we would be ready to order and we were. Upon arriving at this restaurant there were the variety of noodles they have on display (remember this for later). We sit down and look at the menu, nothing we wanted from the online menu was there. We asked our server who was a little short with responses in general, who said the marketing team did not update the online menu. Fine no problem we can order something else, we did ask of we could change the spaghetti to a shorter noodle... remember those noodles hanging at the entrance? Well God forbid they could change a pasta dish at a restaurant that specializes in pasta! They dont make any adjustments to their meals, regardless of dietary or allergy reasons. We order our mains, pizza 2 pastas and a mushroom salad. All the food was pretty good, however when the pizza arrived it was not cut. I say to the food runner who brought it to the table, excuse me but this pizza isnt cut, we are sharing and would love it to be cut. The food runner says no we didnt cut it and went back to the kitchen. I asked the server who said we dont cut pizza here or at any of our locations... what if there were physical disabilities hindering my ability to cut it myself? To make this log winded story short, the food was good. Service not so much, atmosphere and overall experience terrible I will never return to this or any other location in my lifetime.
Its part of Terroni family, so it cant really go wrong! Food is great and great servicea and ambiance. My clam pastas was a bit greasy (soaked feeling ) and not as light and refreshing as I hopes. Maybe needs a bit more acid to brighten it up.
Pizza hard like a rock. Uncuttable. And they don t slice it. Unable to remove cheese from a pasta dish for our vegan guest. However had to give stars for the calamari platter and the lemon gelato. That is made in house.
Im not sure if this resturant is trying to be a high level resturant like terroni itself or its just bulding up to it, food is okay but for 45 dollors a dish not sure it sits well with standards of market , pizza was ok just normal , pasta wasnt served well , a bit bland too 3 different ones all comments was its not my fav. And most of them wasnt finished , normal things to be added like parmesan shreds, peper etc everywhere else is standard here they didnt know if its needed took forever to come ... seating was an issue. The middle rows keep hitting the sides. I think there is a bit of mismanagement in the handling of the floor, too. Its a good place to hang out, but the price doesnt matcht he quality of the food and environment. Dont want to go to detials, but some things served seemed off the shelf from costco just presented on a plate. I would consider if the plan is to make this high-end and charge a dining +120$ put some effort into it, limit the spacing, and give a bit more attention to the customer. And please know the wines on ur menu when someone asks for a bottle for 75 dollar above u need to know what ur serving them.
We were there today for our Christmas Lunch in the Private area reserved just for us. loved it,and pretty sure so did everyone else.everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. Atmosphere, Food Wine and Service where Excellent..Antonio or Angelo our server ,sorry for always calling him the wrong name, was very presentable, professional, well spoken and very knowledgable.. Definitely recommend this restaurant and definitely will visit again...
Pricey but still a good experience as it is also not so crowded.
Home style Italian cuisine, not as salty as some others, price ok, but size really not big.
Server was very rude the food is small don t waste money to come here. Ricky the server was very rude to us reaching around people wouldn t combine bills. Terrible terrible place.
Lovely authentic Italian cuisine
Popular place for dinner. The food quality was good. Service and atmosphere were very good. I think the choice to eat there is more about convenience and location than good Italian food. Nonetheless, I always enjoy the experience.
Attentive and unintrusive service. Solid Italian dishes. I had the halibut in a putanesca sauce. I would go back.
