We had an amazing dining experience at La Vecchia. From the moment we made the reservation over the phone, the service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff making us feel welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed evening. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. Each dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we will definitely be returning!

A delicious meal last night! It was very busy but our server was attentive and helpful. My friend and I had the bruscetta and cappelini pasta with shrimps and scallops. Very flavorful and fresh! A warm and friendly ambiance both entering the restaurant and on leaving. We will be back!

I really enjoyed my time here. Both the food and drinks were good. The server was very attentive always checking to see if everything was going well. We found a hair in our buratta which they quickly took away and replaced it with a new one. I ll definitely be coming back.

I absolutely loved the pasta here every dish is fantastic, and no matter what you choose, you re going to love it! Richard was our waiter, and he made the experience even better. He was super friendly, attentive, and so much fun to chat with. He took great care of our table and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend both the food and the amazing service!

I made a reservation for 8pm and got seated over half an hour later. It was really frustrating and definitely threw me off there wasn t even an explanation for this. However, the food was really tasty, fresh and came in very good portions. The waiters were SUPER nice and friendly! The atmosphere has lovely ambience and the chefs definitely know what they re doing! Don t think I ll be back though because of the extreme reservation delay.

Randomly walked into this restaurant and we got stunned by the quality of food, services and atmosphere! Richard is definitely the cherry on top to make our night even better. His friendly attitude and the overall knowledge and insight he gave out on the menu and wine is astonishing. We ordered a black cod and linguini mare. The black cod was definitely the highlight - skin was perfectly pan seared to crispy while the meat stay moist and fresh. Linguine was cooked perfectly with right amount of seafood. The wine he recommended pair perfectly with our meal. We love it so much. And we ordered crème brûlée cheesecake and panna cotta for dessert which made our night even more perfect Will definitely going back!!

Massimo and his brothers have truly created a one-of-a-kind restaurant that offers more than just incredible food - its an unforgettable experience. From the warm, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful interior to the flawless service, every detail is thoughtfully crafted to make you feel like youre dining in Italy, inside of some royal family home. I had the pleasure of working with them years ago, and the standard has always been exceptional. I ve seen their business from the inside and can only say the best about it. A special mention to server Kevin, who is the epitome of professionalism - he s attentive without being intrusive, allowing you to fully enjoy your meal. I highly recommend La Vecchia! And their Lakeshore location has its own unique charm and is definitely worth a visit too.

We had an amazing experience....although the place could really do well with music playing at a slightly lower volume.....but all in all...it was a great experience!! Our server Bryce was really great with guiding us with the food we might like and with the service.

Everything was fantastic until we were served a Tiramisu that was extremely sour. Upon inspection, we discovered that the cake had gone bad the bottom layer was visibly MOLDY (as shown in the attached photo). Although the waiter offered us another piece of cake which claims to be a fresh batch from a new box, the experience was already ruined. The unpleasant sour taste lingered, leaving us unable to enjoy the rest of our meal. Dietary restrictions: Sour Tiramisu

We had reserved a table for 9:15pm, and by the time we got seated it was 10pm. The person in charge told us the drink is on the house for the wait. However when we got the bill, we were charged for the drinks we had, and once we asked them about this, they mentioned by drinks on house means Limoncello only! In general, the food and drink were great, however it would ve been better if they had clarified regarding the drink on the house .

Ive been going to this location for a couple of years now and always have a great time there! Alecsandro, or Alex, one of the waiters there is just awesome! Hes polite, kind and treat you super well! The food is great too, the location is convenient and the restaurant has a great vibe! Definitely recommend it!

Decided last minute to come dine here after a long day exploring the city with 2 toddlers and to celebrate a birthday. As it was late we were worried about meltdowns from the kids. The staff was amazing at keeping the kids in good spirits. The service was warm, welcoming, as well as quick (considering the kids were very hungry). The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back to enjoy again.

I ve been to La Vecchia a few times and the last experience was disappointing. I ve updated my review to reflect what I feel is a let down by management in addressing our concerns. While it s understandably busy on the weekends, my last visit to La Vecchia was a show - we were rushed by our server who (although efficient) was not very engaging at all and told us to place our entire order at once. We also found it difficult to get her attention throughout the evening. our complaint about the mussels being chewy with grit (like sand) went mostly ignored. Inconsistent service and due to lack of any effort from management, likely won t be going back.

In this photo, you ll see Linguini Mare and a cup of cappucino! Our server was Alessandro (hope I spelt his name right), an absolute gem of a human. Incredibly attentive and very very personable! Alessandro created such a wonderful experience, he made all of us feel so welcome and comfortable! We came to celebrate a birthday with the family and everyone enjoyed their meal and most of all the service. BONUS they have their own in house sauce that adds a nice kick if you re a fan of spicy flare Will definitely return to try other items on their menu!

The customer service was good, they squeezed us in when we didn t have a reservation, which I appreciated. The food was not good unfortunately, flavourless, not authentic/fresh/ quality ingredients. Maybe it was the dishes we ordered: bruschetta, arancini, penne arrabbiata (had black olives in it!?) Did not enjoy any of the above.

We came in with my girlfriend a few days ago without a reservation and really enjoyed the experience. Food was fantastic and Nelly was very friendly and accommodating. She also suggested us a great wine and in general was very knowledgeable, we were pleasantly surprised. A memorable experience, will definitely come back. Also loved the look of the restaurant. We have been in this place few years back, and food was great and everything! However yesterday on our way back home we decided to have an early dinner so we stopped by We ordered Ceaser salad and Bruschetta, before ordering our main! The quality was so poor that we decided pay and leave and don t look back in this place ever again! Salad was not fresh! It did not have any taste at all! And the bruschetta was definitely the worst I have ever tried! And the prices are really high! For such poor quality! I do not recommend this place at all, don t waste your money there are plenty of good Italian restaurant in Toronto

Had a work lunch here and it was amazing. Our server was great and attentive. The food was high quality and tasted great. We had a the goat cheese pasta with chicken,, rice balls, salad and a few pizzas. It was worth the price and really enjoyable.

After eating here I thought it would be difficult to go to a Western-style restaurant in Korea. Of course, the food costs a bit too. The vegetables and ingredients were so fresh and delicious, and since the first and second dishes were both delicious, I was looking forward to seeing how delicious the third dish would be. Thanks to the server, I was able to finish the meal in a good mood, and the atmosphere was also very nice.

Our two pizzas were delivered absolutely cold and tasteless. They had no pepper layer or spices at all. One of the pizzas was listed as spicy on the menu, but there was no spiciness or even mild spiciness. They were just two pizzas without any flavor.

My husband and I use to come here for date night all time when we lived in Toronto. This was our first visit back in 5 year since we moved out of the city. It was the same warm hospitality, amazing food, and nostalgic atmosphere. Definitely a place where memories were made to remember. This will alway be our place:).

Weve been here a few times, and everything weve tried has been really good. Its our go-to spot when were craving Italian, although there s usually a wait during peak hours if you don t have a reservation.

Our most recent visit was for my wife s birthday, and Nelly made us feel perfectly taken care of. She gave me the space to be able to focus on celebrating the most special woman in my life, and had the food and wine flowing with perfect timing. I am grateful for always feeling like family at La Vecchia, and would like to extend my love and gratitude to everyone there. Thank you!!

Bella was the sweetest & most patient server ever!

My first time at La Vecchia and I was blown away. The food was amazing, mocktail was excellent and service was above and beyond. I had the pera salad and Torino mocktail. There was one complimentary bread slice with hot sauce. My server, Alex was extremely attentive and HILARIOUS. He made my solo visit special and very entertaining. With this quality experience comes a price tag. My bill came to $40 for a salad and mocktail+ tip. I would love to return however the prices would be a deterrent for me. I would go for special occasions or when I m looking to splurge. I didn t dock any stars for that, but just something to keep in mind.

I ordered the seafood linguine, and it smelled so awful-honestly smelled like a fish market. So the seafood was definitely OLD. I ve ordered seafood pasta so many times and never had it smell! It really set me off, but the sauce and pasta was good. It was also so obvious that me and my friend were dining together but he just gave the entire bill to my friend to pay without asking. When I brought it up he just cut the bill in half instead of charging each of us our respective dishes. I didn t mind paying in half but I thought it was unprofessional on his behalf. He should know better to charge ppl correctly.

I rarely write publicly about restaurants etc. But this one deserves a mention. We were in the area and actually wanted to eat somewhere else. But it was closed. So next option, La Vecchia . Come in, sit down, feel good, enjoy. We really liked the atmosphere (photos). Note the Krombacher advertising in Toronto (in the basement, photo with the 3 pictures and the cash register). There are several areas around the basement, more for closed groups, but the toilets are also there. Very clean! The facility is great! The service was incredible, we were treated very well and all our wishes were fulfilled, more than we are used to. The waiter read our wishes from our faces, so to speak. The meals were delicious. In comparison, the prices were absolutely fine. If we come to Toronto again, a visit there is, so to speak, inevitable.

Nelly was a wonderful server and helped us choose the most popular and most tasty items on the list. We tried the Penne alla vodka and Scaloppine al limone. We finished off with the affogato and it was superb. Would return to this beautiful and tasty establishment. Also very nice dim lighting and open to Yonge st. Five stars

Good Italian food. We recommend the tagliatelle with mushrooms and the dumplings with truffle and cheese. The environment is also very nice.

The restaurant has a rustic feeling, which the food and its presentation match really well. The bourbon-amaro cocktail named after Ravenna was quite nice. After the antipasti I had the veal scallopini with mushroom sauce and vegetables it was nicely prepared, flavorful, fresh, and not over the top with decorations or spices. The chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce on the side was also great, foamy but rich, and they have espresso or dessert wines for pairings, although personally I m not quite sure about the gooseberry on top and in other dishes. Our server (Nelly? Sorry super bad with names here) was very attentive and explained things in a detailed and patient manner.

We loved our experience with Alex. We had the penne arrabbiata and penne vodka and it was to die for, as well as the bruschetta. A special note to an establishment who makes their bread in house, and most importantly, their hot sauce. I ve been to many places who miss the mark by serving franks or Tabasco. Food was unfortunately disappointing- I got the pizza and it didn t seem that the crust was made in-house. It seemed to me to be a frozen pita. Additionally the toppings on the vegetarian pizza was excessive which made the crust soggy. Not the pizza I was expecting at an Italian restaurant. Service however was amazing (server was very kind and extremely attentive). the decor/ambience were also nice. If coming here - I would recommend to try something other than the pizza!

I am a passionate supporter of Italian cuisine and dining establishments. Whenever I visit a new place, my first priority is to seek out an Italian restaurant. Without a doubt, this restaurant surpasses all others I have previously dined at! In particular, the leadership and customer service are top-notch.

This place was great, server was attentive to our needs, kept the drinks flowing. Great venue, love. Food was exceptional as well. Thought the steak was a tad salty and I love salty food. But I still enjoyed it, just was a bit over the top. I should have tried the pasta dishea, my peers were ranting and raving about it

I will tell you how my opinion about a restaurant on Yonge Street can change drastically. One waiter made me want to tell all my friends about the best place in Toronto, where there is a touch of Europe, delicious food, and top-notch service. This top-notch service was thanks to Alex, who works during breakfast hours. However, when I told my family about this place and we came there in the afternoon, we were served by an elderly, grumpy waiter who was constantly dissatisfied with something. His terrible behavior and careless attitude towards customers left a bad impression. Still, I decided to give the place another chance and celebrated my friend s birthday there. At that time, we were served by another waiter, and everything went well. But today, my friend, based on another recommendation, decided to celebrate her birthday at this restaurant, and again, we encountered the same elderly, grumpy waiter. He ruined the celebration by constantly reminding us that our time was limited and that we needed to eat quickly and leave. Now, I will just pause my visits to this restaurant.

Had a good date experience overall, but food was not extraordinary. The Araabiatta pasta was good. Pizza was a bit of disappointment. Personally, I like a good base for a pizza, this one was bit chewy. The cocktails were really good. Nice ambience and amazing desserts. We had Tartufo and Tiramisu Vegetarian options: Good amount of vegetarian options.

I ordered from La Vecchia via Uber Eats. It was the best meal Ive had in a long time. I thought it was nice that they clearly put effort into the takeout set up and everything rather than just throwing the food in a box. I had the penne alla vodka and bruschetta and would highly recommend both!

This Italian restaurant boasts 5-star food quality, and its easily my favorite in Toronto. However, my recent experience with their service was extremely disappointing. Our waitress seemed eager to rush us out, even though we had been there for less than an hour. To make matters worse, when I ordered tiramisu to go, it was a complete mess upon leaving. I trusted them and didnt check the bag inside, but within two minutes of leaving, I realized the packaging had completely ruined the dessert. This kind of carelessness is unacceptable for a supposedly luxurious restaurant with such amazing food.

I personally would not recommend this restaurant due to the service we experienced . We had gone to celebrate our wedding and our anniversary and at every turn another disappointment was given by the restaurant . Firstly , when we arrived early, we asked about the lunch special that s on the website and the server asked the manager who came over to us and told us that dinner starts at 3pm and when my husband specified that he saw the sign out front say Lunch 1130-4pm the manager asked for evidence and for us to point it out and once we did he was immediately flustered and couldn t provide a reason besides doubling down that dinner starts at 3 although we seen 3 large signage out front. He was not apologetic nor did he try and explain the situation or honour what was on the website. Next, he sent over someone to ask us if we had more questions as if he was dismissing us and labeling us a problem for politely asking about the special. Next, it took about 20-30 minutes from receiving our starter to order our main dishes after calling someone over to our table to take our order and it also seemed like there was a vibe given and all the staff was apprehensive to come to our table and we somehow had 4-5 different servers (seemed like there was only 5-7 other tables at the time and a lot of staff on hand) . We ordered a bottle of wine to try & brush off the experience and I found a hair in my wine that I only took one sip of and left because eww. We were also out of water for 20 minutes and when we asked for more , we were provided with water but somehow charged 8$ when we asked for tap water. Overall, this was my worst restaurant experience ever and it s unfortunate as it was a special day for my husband & I and the restaurant is beautiful but service was terrible. I felt like they had multiple chances to make the experience better but failed at every turn. I would say more but there isn t enough room for me to share more . I would suggest ANY other restaurant than here

Restaurants are good if they treat their usual patrons with excellence. Restaurants are special when they treat even the most cumbersome of guests like family. La Vecchia is special. My family and I had just arrived from Arizona to meet my parents for family vacation. Exhausted from the 4 hour + flight we made a reservation for 4 adults and my toddler. We choose Le Vecchia simply by searching for good Italian in Toronto. Every parent knows bringing a toddler to a restaurant is a risk. Bringing a toddler to a restaurant after he has been cooped up for 4 hours is courting disaster. However we were all hungry, exhausted, and felt that fast food would simply add to our misery. We walked in during peak dinner rush, admittedly a little underdressed for the venue, with the aforementioned toddler in tow. Without hesitation the host (who I believe was the GM) opened up the downstairs room for us. Rachel ( who is a host or assistant manager) made we sure we were comfortably seated and that we had space for our little one. Not only did we have a comfortable table, but any concern I had about my son disturbing other guests instantly evaporated. Nelly our waitress could tell we were quite hungry and made excellent recommendations. We started with salads (I highly recommend their version of a Caesar) and wine and then each of us ordered Pasta. The Linguine Mare was some of, if not the best Id ever had. Throughout the course of the meal both Rachel and Nelly took the time get to know us, and build rapport. By the time desert rolled around my toddler was on Rachels hip cooing and talking to her. It just made dessert all the sweeter. The tiramisu, pasta, and wine, all earned 5 stars on their own right. However the service we received truly made the whole experience one to remember. We came in as weary hungry travelers and we left feeling like family. I cant recommend this place enough. La Vecchia, we will be back!

I had an outstanding experience an La Vecchia Restaurant! I ordered Italian pizza and pasta. The food was authentic and delicious. I also loved the thoughtful ambiance. The service was excellent as well. No wonder the restaurant has won so many best restaurant awards. I had a great time, and will be back!

Went here for my nephews birthday. The diavola pizza was delicious: it had a really lovely restaurant-style thin crust with just the right amount of kick. Great atmosphere and service. Highly recommended.

We have been here a number of times over the years - the first was pre-Covid, the latest was 3 weeks ago. We have never once had a bad or indifferent experience. Regardless of the day or time of year, staff, food, atmosphere was always excellent. While we have not had the pizza, we have had everything else on the menu and it has never disappointed. It is one of our favourite restaurants in the city and does not disappoint. I have a hard time understanding the few low reviews. My wife and I are foodies and we always enjoy La Vecchia. We will be back.

Incredible dining experience. We couldn t decide on our favourite dish out of the lot. The manager was so sweet and took us to the VIP area - which has stunning aesthetics and service. This place is perfect for special occasions.

My husband and I had lunch here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious. We both ordered the pasta bolognaise and the bruschetta bread. Everything was fresh and flavourful. Nice wine selection too. The staff are friendly, professional, and attentive. We really enjoy the atmosphere/decor and notice that the restaurant was spotless. Lots of attention is paid to every detail by the staff. Great music adds to the ambience. Highly recommended for daytime dining, as its a little quieter. Its quite lively in the evenings, especially on weekends, so definitely suggest reservations. Were looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch.

We have been to this restaurant many times. The food, drinks and service are always excellent. This is always my recommendation for friends and family who are looking for a wonderful Italian meal. Tonight, we were served by a relatively new server, but whom had worked in the kitchen initially. His name is Jawa (sp?) and he was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge of how the food is prepared, the changes to their new summer menu, his lovely personality and his genuine kindness - especially to my 8 year old son - was beyond stellar. He honestly made our already pleasant dining experience all the more enjoyable. Service counts for a lot when it comes to dining out. After all, it is part of what you pay for when you go out for a meal, no? We truly and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight, and Jawa played a huge part of this experience. Thank you!

They change the menu from something good to something awful which taste soooo bad, the menu in their website is different from the menu in their restaurant S C A L O P P I N E A L L I M O N E is taste awful never order that

Eggplant melanzana was fantastic, many layers, very lightly breaded, served steaming hot in a cast iron pan with seared vegetables. Deserves to be a regular menu item as an excellent vegetarian main, was much better than their usual eggplant parm app. Service and ambience were top notch, thanks to waiter Richard :) Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options (pasta, pizza, side vegetables, salads)

Came here for a dinner with my Fiancé and had an amazing time. Love the ambiance inside and the server was very knowledgeable and helpful with their recommendations. Definitely would come again!

The food was mediocre at best. I got sick the day after visiting. The potatoes were just boiled and bland. I don t think I would visit again. The prices were outrageous for the quality.

Ordered the focaccia, squid, pizza, salad, mushroom pasta, and cheese cake. The squid was the highlight. Our server was very attentive. Looking forward to coming back and trying out more of their food

This my second time visiting this beautiful place with the most authentic Italian food. I am a vegetarian and love the bruschetta, the white sauce pasta named S A C C H E T T I A L T A R T U F O will touch your soul! Don t forget that it might only be available for dinner!

Impressive food, good quality and excellent service

Not a lot of restaurants indicate vegetarian options so I appreciate the menu. Service feels like its private dining. Speed of delivery is timely, very friendly, vibes are immaculate, great food and dessert is A1.

Great food and vibes all together, our server was awesome, Nelya was very outgoing, and recommended a very tasty cheesecake. Left with a happy smile and a full belly! :)

I recently dined at LaVeccia and had an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, and both bartender Ihor and waitress Nellie did excellent job. Ihor made the best cocktails and Nellies excellent service made our night unforgettable. Highly recommended!

The pizza with nduja, burrata and slices of peach was very good ! And the creme-brulee with berries on it was delicious The staff is nice and makes the experience even better
