101 College St, Toronto, ON M5G 2C4, Canada
Chic, upmarket Italian place featuring elevated Italian cuisine & an expansive wine list.
🥚An Italian restaurant on college street located within the Mars building. 🥚Wonderful ambience. 🥚Patient staff. 🥚Food is great but quantity on plate might look less compared to the price. 🥚Good restaurant to have team gatherings or professional meet ups 🥚We tried apps - Aracini, burrata with focaccia bread, french fries, calamari with pan fried green chillies. For mains pizza, pasta and piatti were tried.Cocktails are delish n strong. And don't skip the dessert, they are starting of the meal.
The food was hot and fresh and delicious. I had the ricotta gnocchi for lunch, delightfully yummy. Could have begged for more but my friend filled me up with a slice of her pizza. I'd order it again in a heartbeat but I'd consider it an appetizer. Best gnocchi I ever had.
The food was very good, not too salty which I find can be an issue for some Italian restaurants. Service was impeccable. I was catered to without hesitation or questions. Definitely will dine here again!
My colleague and I stopped here to get some dinner after a conference at the University of Toronto. They offer all of their pizzas and pastas with a gluten free option. My coworker had the gluten free pasta and I had the Diavolo pizza on regular crust. It was a solid pizza and I would definitely go there again should I find myself back in the area. Her pasta was cooked al dente, so that should make the gluten free folks feel good. Not soggy like some places. Our server was attentive and friendly. Drinks and food arrived quickly and it cost us about 25 per person not including beer and cocktails.
Stopped by here for a quick lunch and was able to get a decent pasta dish with time to spare. Service is attentive. Food was fair. I’d recommend for others looking for a place to have a meal in the area specially on a quick work break where you want to try more than the food court options nearby.
Today was my first time visiting, and I love this place. The food was great, the server was very kind and I liked the atmosphere the most. It was a hot day, but the spacious outdoor patio area with the shades and big trees was very cool :)
Nice atmosphere and great customer service! Their menus is diverse and portions are not bad. Location is busy during work week and business hours. Not recommended for drivers as parking could be challenging. Recommended for office lunches and teams gathering 😊
Attached to the MARS District building is this Mercatto Italian restaurant. Came here for lunch, food tasted delicious. We had their soup of the day, which was a squash based soup with a piece of toast. Ordered the Carbonara pasta and pan seared Rainbow Trout. Finished off with Lemon and Olive Oil cake. Service was on point as the wait staff was courteous and took care of our table accordingly. Decor and atmosphere is modern contemporary.
The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious. Special thank you to our server Jessica who was beyond accommodating. She really went the extra mile for us! Happy Holidays Jessica!
This is one of my favorites in downtown. Food is always the right amount and delicious. Service also fantastic.
MaRS location. delicious food and very professional service.
Delicious meal, great service. Didnt need reservations.
Good Italian food, but staff are always in rush to serve and empty your table. Not a relaxing place for dining
Dinner with family after award ceremony.
Excellent pasta, fast and attentive service, generous portions, reasonable price. Poor and very expensive wine list.
Wonderful dinner experience. Our server Damian was knowledgeable and prompt. We had a time crunch and he enabled appetizer, dinner and dessert in less than 50 minutes. Outstanding food.
Very nice Italian eatery located in the MaRS building. Good selection of salads, pastas and pizzas. Quite popular at lunchtime. Reservations recommended.
Friendly service with a great atmosphere. The pizzas are light and delicious and just the perfect size.
Food was good. Wine extraordinarily expensive. Nothing under $62!
Friendly staff good quality food
The pizza was salty, stale, and tasted terrible!
Tried the baked chicken - worse than your quarter chicken at a Farm Boy. Flavourless, inattentive staff, overall horrible . For the price and quality you are better off going elsewhere
The food is fresh and tasty. Only one dessert is too sweet.
Beautiful restaurant, high energy atmosphere. The food and service was amazing. Vegetarian options: It was a good vegetarian dish. Food : 4/5 |
Excellent service! Great coffee.. salad was awesome.....pizza is okay
Great authentic Italian food.
Very good pasta served with attention and a smile in a quiet terrace near Down Town. Absolutely worth discovering.
Quintessential work lunch / work dinner spot, everything tastes fine but thats the long and short of it. I had the linguine di mare and the amount of seafood in it was just under adequate, I wouldve preferred a bit more.
I wish I had taken pictures of the food. Had warm olives for appetizers and loved them. The food was delicious and delicately created. The staff is super helpful as well. The overall vibe is great with its beautiful patio, it is one of the hidden gems that I have passed by so many times. Will go back for sure.
Tried to take my parents here who were visiting from out of town. They have a dog so we were not allowed service. My wife and I had just visited a few weeks ago with our dogs without problem. Non-dog patio and outside area.
We visited Mercato with a larger work group and no one was impressed. The portions were small and the food was bland and flavorless. My pasta bolognese was basically store bought sauce. On top of everything, as we were a larger group, we were automatically charged a 20% gratuity for marginal service. A nice atmosphere, but dont go for the food. Probably first and last visit.
Great atmosphere and amazing service. The food here is also delicious. Ive had pasta and pizza here in the past and it has all been amazing. Happy hour with their house wines are also fantastic. A great place to grab dinner and a drink.
Friendly staff. Good food. Good wine. We had an asparagus salad and Artic char, both well prepared.
Been a while since weve been in Mercatto as we moved out of town. Good to see that the food and service has been maintained to a very high standard....at a reasonable price point. Have to make it a point to return more often.
Food was delicious, with a great fine dining atmosphere and the manager and waitress were helpful and so polite.
Great food great patio
Good atmosphere, great service, and tasty dishes.
Excellent service and food, as usual. Lively atmosphere. I always get reservations because it gets pretty busy.
Went there with 8 ppl. Wonderful ambience and food. Had a pizza. Gourmet style. Delish! Hlthry have an outside patio as well.
Excellent spot for a meal and drinks, either at the bar or table. It was the only restaurant earlier than others which is why we ventured over. We werent disappointed, as a matter of fact, we returned the next day. I had the pasta carbonara and it was delicious. My husband both times had pizza, delicious and we shared the warm olives. Good wine selection. My only complaint if you will, for lack of a better word, is that the doors to the outdoor patio are left open allowing flies and bugs to enter which made our meal somewhat unpleasant. Something as it easily rectified.
The fries for starter were a little overcooked, and the deserts portion sizes are kinda small. We got a tiramisu and an affogato. Though, the pizza is TOPNOTCH. If you go there, definitely get the Mortadella Pizza. Food
Service was a bit slow but it was prime time 5pm. Food is always great hear. Food : 5/5
everything was perfect
Lovely atmosphere, delicious lunch, I had the pan seared lasagna, quite tasty. I believe our server was unhappy with the healthy tip we left, she walked off abruptly with no thank you. Servers can make or break a restaurant.
An Italian restaurant in Toronto. A particular but good carbonara. Good pizza for Toronto.
Server didnt come by often enough. He was eating at the bar. It was 925 I had to find him to get a round of drinks for our table. Then he said the bar closed at 920. I will NEVER bring clients here again!
Terrible service. It was a Friday night. Had to flag the waiter. At 925 we were ready to order a last round. Waiter said bar closed at 920. Was never offered last call. Had 5 clients with me. Never bringing clients here again
Nice team lunch
The place is very good, the food is great, the service is also the only thing they dont mention to you when they offer you the water is that when it is with bubbles they charge you for it instead of normal water and they dont explain that to you but otherwise it is everything excellent.
They have an incredible coffee bar run by Val. She prepared a delicious Oat Mocha double Latte. 10/10 ! Vegetarian options: Substituted plant based milk in my mocha latte. Dietary restrictions: Vegan.
Dietary restrictions: Great with gluten-free. Food
Went to Mercatto for an early business dinner with clients. Food was very good, although several pizzas were not hot when they arrived, and the pizzas really needed sharper knives. The other dinners were enjoyed. Service was efficient, cordial, and unobtrusive, which was appreciated. Food
Good food.
Second Mercatto I have been to in Toronto and found a similar but slight different vibe from the other. ( not sure which one I went to, if you care, check my reviews from last year) I had the same thing as before because I raved about the lasagna so much and had to try it again. I was pleasantly surprised that it was mostly the same, with actually more ricotta (or mascarpone) in the layers. The salad was actually better than the first, better dressed. I had the gelato and still crave a pistachio flavour when dining Italian. Will be back! My friends raved about their meals including the well done steak, looked over done to me but she said it was perfect for her! Well done again Mercatto
Perfect (portions too little, but taste makes up for it)
What a nice Italian restaurant, very good food and dinning atmosphere.
Great service and ambience, good presentation, but the portions were small and the taste was not quite there.
I was expecting proper taste of Italian coffee but turns out very bad, wouldn t recommend anyone this place!
company dinner, most of the food we got was vegetarian, but was still delicious. the meat skewers were not as good. service was excellent, staff were friendly and attended to all our needs. Food
I found the Customer service and new guests welcoming are extremely poor at the reception. This place had more than half of the restaurants tables empty, and they didnt provide a sitting table for one person. All tables in half of the restaurants can t be booked for the same time on a casual mid-day on Wednesday
Good food and good ambiance. Came in for a work lunch. Everyone loved their meals. Only qualm is that the POS system took forever and we had to wait so long to pay. We were late to return to the office.
The atmosphere is great, such a nice and clean place. Staff were very kind and helpful, our food was very fresh also, but for us the dishes came in small portions. They have a range of tasty wines too.
Wine an food well worth a stop in Ambiance is a relaxing environment Loved the service Food : 5/5
Great place to meet up with friends and work colleagues. The food is delicious and always arrives in a timely manner.
When I arrived at the restaurant front desk, this woman in blazer saw me but decided to ignore me and continue talking to other employee. When I requested a table for two, this woman gave me a very rude attitude, especially toward other employee who seem like new hire. When I told them that I called ahead before coming to the restaurant to see if they have a table available for 2, this woman almost yelling at the other employee they have no table available. But ended up giving us a table. Our table server was friendly but hard to get an attention. I had to ask other employee to get a water refill, and he ended up leaving my water cup empty until i paid my bill. Insalata Verde Salad: was not worth $16. Was just plain greens with a hint of pine nuts. The portion was small Carbonara: was average, but pepper was overpowering everything Linguine di mare: was okay. Nothing special but more of bland flavour. I would like to give another try since there are more good reviews, but i will need to avoid for while
It said it was open today - Dec 29 on google. However when I went there it was closed. Please update your hours appropriately.
One of the tastiest quality Margarita Pizza we had
The desserts are the yummiest
Stellar service - great pizzas
Ill start with the positives. I liked the interior. A beautiful wall in the form of cabinets with wine, a beautiful wooden chandelier in the shape of a barrel, it looks like a handmade one. Delicious French fries!!!!! This is where the advantages end. I was also in the same restaurant, only in the Eaton centre. Pizza, cocktails, pastas, salads and appetizers are not tasty. In addition, I came across some kind of insect in the cocktail and no one even said Sorry to me; they silently took it away and brought another one.
The best Orecchiette Ive ever had...
Stopped in for lunch on a Friday at 12pm and it was great! It fills up quick at this time so I would reccomend getting a reservation. I had the basil spritz - refreshing and a bit of sourness to it - so yum!! The lunch portions are the perfect size. We had the pesto bread to start which is 2 slices of a nice bread with pesto and a generous amount of cheese on it. Many people (including myself) had the wild boar gnocchi- highly reccomend!
Had the seafood linguine along with the basil spritz. The basil spritz lacked any real flavour. Couldn t even taste any hint of basil. Only came because of the convenience close to hospitals/business areas. Overall, ambience and service was good. Worth the try if you re in the area but wouldn t come far for this.
Came to Toronto to visit and wanted to try this restaurant, website said they were open till 10pm we arrived 10 mins before 9pm...when we arrived it was closed. We had to wait outside in the cold to wait for an uber to pick us up. Very disappointing
patio is recommend during lunch time
Food was delicious
Good food, busy place, better to make a reservation.
Honestly, this is a thrilling place for lunch. Authentic Italian food, served by waiters who are enthusiastic about things on the menu, and delivered with a minimum of pretense or fuss. Excellent, interesting wine list; Ive never been here for dinner but it is the perfect spot for a long celebratory lunch. Then go home and have a nap...
The arancini and margarita pizza were so good, the food and the drinks were pretty pricey tho. I got the lemonade and iced tea and that was kinda average and my friend got this mint drink with ginger beer in it, dont remember the name? She didnt like that very much tho.
Super food geat environment. Tasty
Came here for dinner around 9 pm about an hour before they closed. Felt kinda like we were bothering the staff when we came in but they sat us anyways. I ordered the gnocchi and my boyfriend ordered the rack of lamb. When everything came out it was only 2 pieces of lamb and my gnocchi was cold due to the ricotta they put on top was fresh out of the fridge. The staff were a little inattentive as they were trying to clean for the night. All in all, not a great experience and we won t be coming back
Portion size was incredibly small without telling you. It was ordered a rack. A lamb got two bones vegetables kind of cold the starch was awesome
Been here for a private hosted party but enjoyed the food.
Sat outside under umbrellas. Nice to be outside although the traffic noise was a bit much at times. Very good service and the food was excellent. Dietary restrictions: Its Italian so gluten sensitivity might be an issue. That said, the server checked for food allergies when taking the order.
Great food
Delicious pizza, friendly staff, nice decor.
Delicious food great service.
Best gluten free pizza
Parking: Paid parking is available on the underground levels in the same building Food
Cool environment and nice selection of wines
Ive been there to a reception in this summer nights. The weather and the atmosphere were pleasant to dine outdoors! The food and the service were just perfect. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Plenty of tasty vegetarian options
Very busy
Great service! Delicious food! Wonderful atmosphere! I highly recommend this place. You might want to get a reservation during dinner time.
I didn t even get to eat here because even though I reserved the patio, they wouldn t seat us because it had rained earlier in the afternoon and wouldn t wipe down the outside seating for us. They tried to seat us inside but I am not dining indoors because of COVID. It was NOT raining at the time, we absolutely could ve sat outside.
Yummy place for pasta and italian food!
I wanted to give Mercatto a better rating, since the atmosphere was great to grab lunch with coworkers and the servers were lovely. However, the tagliatelle I ordered ($30 total) was not at all what I expected. Pasta was way too overcooked and extremely bland, I had to ask for salt and red pepper flakes and I wish I asked for a lemon wedge as well. Not sure where the zucchini sugo was. The pizza does seem better. Overall extremely disappointed given the price point.
Love the patio The food quality is meh But the tiramisu and afogatto and the cocktails are great Food : 3/5
I had a good time because I was with a good friend but the pizza s tomato sause was very salty (it was clearly a mistake) and the burrata comes with no bread, no toast, no crackers, I am not sure what you are supposed to eat the cheese with. We had to order bread for it which they charged $5 for but it was the best part of the meal tbh (nice dough bread). The capuccino was nice and tiramisu was delicious. Place is cute, has a nice patios but for some reason there were a lot of little flies (like those small fruit flies). They also have 3 possible entrances but only open one which is so annoying. Service was good, people were very friendly and responsive.
Had an incredible time here in February (forget to review then ) Pan seared lasagna, margherita pizza, lemon olive oil cake, and tiramisu were all delicious.
My daughter and I went for an impromptu lunch while we were downtown. Not bad but a little pricey compared to other fine dining places downtown. Service was ok, food was ok, I d probably go there again if in the area. Lana our server was great, she recommended the pesto bread which we loved, I enjoyed the Margherita pizza but the gnocchi had a weird aftertaste. Generally a nice place I d recommend it. I found the price a bit steep consider for a similar price we could have eaten at more of a fine dining location. Vegetarian options: Plenty of pizza/pasta options on the menu Dietary restrictions: All the fried foods are fried in the same oil unfortunately, not good if you can t have cross contamination with meat/shellfish
We were a party of 10. The service was the best part next the atmosphere was also pretty good. The food well let me break it down. The salads were good portion size extremely small. The Arancini was very good but $17 for three of them is over priced. The pizzas are nothing special. Its like bar snack food. The RICOTTA GNOCCHI was delicious the price is not. Beware of the bill. They do not separate the alcohol from the food menu. Now would I come back... Absolutely not. I gave this place three stars which is high, because of the service and the taste of the gnocchi and the arancini. Otherwise it is a 2 star establishment. If your looking for drinks and a light snack perhaps this may be a choice. Sorry Mercatto you missed the mark...
The food was great and we had exceptional service from our waitress Lana.
Cheese pizza was epic and Lana the waitress was helpful and friendly.
Had an amazing meal, our server Lana made the experience 10/10.
Had a dinner with a large group of around 8 people and were treated with excellent service by Lana. Definitely recommend going here if you want great service!
I brought my entire team to this restaurant and we had an amazing time thanks to the absolutely stellar service of our waitress Lana. Her assistance and reliability was second to none and she ensured our drinks and food were brought out in a timely manner with excellent service and conversation.
A pretty solid example of Looks can be deceiving - Beef Capaccio - thinly sliced beef on a bed of olive oil, some cheese and arugula and a lemon wedge but absolutely 0 seasoning, super bland, not a speckle of salt or pepper 1/5 - Carbonara - no complaints, solid dish, well executed 4/5 - Pepperoni pizza - thin crust, grease dripping out, soggy, 3/5
Not what we expected. we were 8 people and the food was ok the Arancini was amazing just only comes with 3 pieces. The salads and like fine dining sizes, they charge like big portions. The service was fantastic. Then the bill came the alcohol was not seperated the said they had a problem with the computer. Why not make two bills??? So I asked and they said it was too late. With a smile Do I need to say more?
Nothing espectacular. I went expecting more based on reviews. The Chitarra Alla Carbonara was insipid. The Arancini were just fine. Service was fair. I am still looking for a real Trattoria in Toronto. I m open to recommendations.
I went there for lunch with my colleagues. It was the first time I was visiting. The whole dining experience was amazing. The food was delicious. Highly recommend this place.
Very fast and kind people
Lovely staff who are very accommodating. The food was great too, although it took a long time for it to come out. Highly recommend the scallop appetizer.
Good food, great spot for a quick business lunch and courteous service.
Food and ambience good. Service a bit rude, its the second time now. Food
Great Italian restaurant with nice atmosphere! Food was DELICIOUS and very filling (easy to over order). Personally enjoyed their lasagna it was my favourite. Their handmade pizza is very thin and smaller than expected, but still tasted amazing.
My experience at Marcattos Italian Cuisine is always exceptional! My favourite restaurant that is conveniently located near the core of Discovery District! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I had the pleasure of trying multiple dishes (over a span of multiple visits), and my top two go-to favourites are the pesto bread and the ricotta gnocchi. The pesto bread was a flavor explosion in every bite, and the ricotta gnocchi is incredibly light and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. What sets Marcattos apart is their commitment to using the freshest ingredients, and it was evident in the basil used in their dishes. It added a beautiful aroma and taste that elevated the entire meal. For service here is always impeccable and the Staff are always friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure that my group and I have a memorable dining experience. They re always attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. Marcattos is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Italian flavors, a cozy ambiance, and top-notch service. I cant recommend it enough!
I had an excellent meal at Mercatto where as a celiac sufferer I managed to have enough main course choices (including gluten free pasta) and one dessert (a flourless chocolate cake, delicious) although there were no warm starters that I could have. Service was excellent and the restaurant had a nice vibe. Dietary restrictions: Good selection for gluten-free restriction.
An afternoon lunch on a weekday and the it was claustrophobic. No room to sit and dine peacefully.
Fantastic and authentic Italian cuisine. This place is known for its pizzas and we had to try the new wild boar pizza. Fantastic! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They check for vaccine QR codes before entry which I appreciate. Theres also plenty of spacing in this restaurant for people this is comfortably. The dessert was incredible and definitely a shareable bowl.
Ate here in the summer with a group of friends in the patio! They had picnic benches laid out at a safe distance from each other, and lights hanging from the trees - very nice vibes. Food was decision and large enough to share! Service was really good as well.
Fantastic! Went during lunch hour and it wasnt too busy. A great option for healthcare workers working in the area. Service was quick, and my server was timely and impeccably friendly. The pizza is an absolute must, and on your next visit any pasta dish will impress you too, real, authentic Italian dishes! Did make a reservation but it wasnt too busy. However my friend states that sometimes it can get busier when they have buffets. She had the best things to say about past visits as well. Will be back!
Lovely setting, a bit pricey. Dishes are relatively small, although made to perfection. Pizza was marvelous.
Pretty solid carbonara! Pasta was cooked perfectly, although the sauce was a bit too thin for my taste. Pancetta was well rendered but the parsley was chopped a bit on the large side. But these are all nitpicks. Portion sizes can definitely be bigger for the price.
Great ambiance, cool fine, good food, mediocre service
Had my friends join me here for a joint birthday dinner for my best friend and I. DELICIOUS food, good sized portions and friendly service!
Heavenly delicious Lasagna and mushroom pizza!! Always enjoyed my time here!! The only thing is I wish it was open during weekends or for longer hours during week...
Very little vegan and vegetarian options. Service is good. But the rating is specifically since I was clear I am vegetarian, no meat, egg or fish but dairy is okay they got it completely wrong and served me meat first then someone came back to me and discussed it over.
I really wanted to love this place but based on my experience, the reviews are quite misleading. I had their Margherita pizza and a glass of Prosecco. Let me just say I have never had a soggier pizza. The sauce was all over the place, the slice can t even hold, the cheese wasn t the best. The service, however, was decent and the waitress was attentive and lovely. However, the food was nowhere as good. I understand this can be a convenient business lunch place, however, it s definitely not the best Italian food in the city. Overall, wouldn t be back.
Great vibe, great service. We are amazed with the wine more over the food. Stratus Tollgate Chardonnay is highly recommended with excellent aroma. We also ordered the Old Fashioned off the menu, it is at the sweeter end but surprisingly good, highly recommended as well.
We came to Mercatto for a graduation dinner and didnt have the best experience. I wanted to love it but the mains took a long time to arrive, and were only warm when we got them. Some of our party members said their food tasted like it was a day old and it was microwaved. I ordered the sweetened iced tea and lemonade, and it tasted like water with mint. The highlights were the appetizers that we got. The calamari breading was crispy and seasoned well. The fries with truffle crema were great. The service was not good though. Our server didnt ask us how we were doing once the entire meal, or ask if we wanted refills. We had to call him over to order dessert because he didnt come back to the table after we asked for the dessert menus. I saw another patron walk up to him to ask him to attend to their table because he was also ignoring them. I wouldnt go back or recommend this location to anyone.
Great atmosphere, very tasty pizza, fantastic and friendly service. Will go back for sure
A staple restaurant option for lunch if you work in the area. It has a popular following so its quite crowded during lunch, youd need to speak on the louder side to keep a conversation going. It offers an excellent patio for when the weather in nice. The (thin crust) pizza is usually my go to, Id recommend asking for the chilli oil too. They used to have a hot takeout booth at the front that offered a daily pasta, pizza and/or salad as a special. It seems after COVID they no longer offer this, which is too bad. Used to love that!
Great food.
We had a wonderful and teasty dinner with two glasses of wine. Emmy was wonderful and attentive. She answered all the questions we had regarding the dinner. The price was reasonable we will be back.
Very good service
Absolutely amazing service, great food, perfect portions, and beautiful ambiance. No critiques, just greatness here
Beautiful lunch, great food and service
Quaint Italian restaurant with a great selection of pasta, pizza and traditional Italian dishes and appetizers. Was a huge fan of the cocktails to with the basil spritz the perfect drink for their sizeable yet intimate patio. My recommendation ordering the pepperoni pizza with any of their pastas
Ordered a mushroom pizza, it was loos and uncooked on top with a bitter overcooked crest!! Really why?!! Service was not bad.
Had a great time here. The Tortiglioni alla Bolognese tasted so good. The al dente texture and the sauce complimented quite well. The truffle crema fries were heavenly. One of the best fries Ive had. The server was nice, checking in on us often, and was fast with our food. Definitely would come again!
Nice atmosphere
Mediocre food, nice flavors but the quality seemed a bit stale (pizza, bread, calamari)
I will start off with the positive aspects of this restaurant. I sat outside on the patio which was quite lovely. It is set back from the street and there are many trees. The service was okay. The food presentation was nice. However, the portions were very small for the exorbitant prices which they charge. I had a salad with tomato and boconcini cheese. I needed a microscope to locate the cheese! I had a piece of lasagna, it was not filling at all and it was very tiny. The glass of iced tea was more ice than tea. There are no refills. They do not serve bread with the meal anymore like they used to in the past. Now it must be ordered separately at a cost. It didnt make sense to me but they use the old covid excuse for that one. This is another cost-cutting feature Im sure. I ordered panna cotta for dessert. It was tasty but very very miniscule. Together with tax and tip I spent in excess of $75 on a lunch for myself. I am not rushing to go back anytime soon. This place is way too expensive for very little value. If you have a hearty appetite I recommend going somewhere else. You will leave hungry otherwise.
The atmosphere here is great, its beautiful inside. Ordered the Ricotta agnolotti and it was pretty small, could pass for an appetizer for 1, priced at $28. Saying that, it was delicious! The iced tea was tasteless and could use a bit of simple syrup.
Good lunch experience overall and the food quality was top notch. The prices were a bit high for lunch fare, but the portions were quite decent. I recommend this place more for dinner.
My go to for morning coffee
Ordered the char and wild boar gnocchi and both were flavorful and delicious. Gingerbread Spirtz was delightful.
Food is ok but be careful if you seat outside. On my first visit the chair broke and I fell to the floor. In return, two apologies -one for the waitress and one for the receptionist- but that s it. If this was my own business I would offered a gift card at least as compensation for the incident, but since it is not my business
Service in absentia at this location. Food was passable. My partner and i had to literally call the server ourselves a few times so that he would attend to us. No sense of service whatsoever. Utterly disappointed.
First time visiting downtown Toronto and this restaurant was very good and very accommodating with food restrictions. The personel actually understood what I was saying and I had a great experience because of that. There selection of wine is interesting with some local choices from Ontario. Dietary restrictions: No specific mention in the menu that I can recall, but if you specify your dietary restriction, they will accommodate as possible.
Food is so delicious. Super friendly staff. However this place is so noisy specially with kids. Decoration could have been better.
A local chain of higher end Italian. Well executed Napolitano style pizzas and pastas. Good wine list, quality desserts. Very reliable. Nice to have many of these around the city.
We went for lunch and the food was excellent and prices were reasonable.
Came here for lunch with a colleague today and we were in and out within 35 mins! Our server brought us water immediately upon seating us and when we mentioned we were in a bit of a hurry she guaranteed that we would be out on time (and she was right!). Pictured below is the prosciutto pizza and the carbonera pasta We also ordered the calamari appetizer however I accidently took a video and not a photo, so unfortunately its not shown in this review. The calamari was tasty, however the portion size was quite small. The pasta was also delicious, however was quite a small portion. The pizza however was great! Our food was ordered and consumed within 40 minutes so that was an added bonus. Good location, clean and modern interior, and friendly staff.
Great Pepperoni Pizza and Excellent Ceasars Salad!! Friendly atmosphere, decent # of choices on the menu to choose from. Must try if youre in the area. Food
I had a delicious experience
A wee bit noisy but great ambience and service. They dont scimp on the cheese
Seafood linguine is a bit salty and dry. It looks like the seafood is cooked separately and placed on top of the dish. Restaurant decor is great but food needs improvement.
