875 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1G5, Canada
Mainstay for traditional Italian dishes with a lively lounge & a spacious side patio.
Negative 10 stars. Reserved a table for a birthday party on a Friday night. Got a confirmation email and everything. Showed up on time, doors locked lights off nobody home. Stood there on Queen street holding a cake like an idiot.
Our first visit & will not be the last. Food was delicious. Service was great.
We had a great evening. The food and service were excellent. Loved the focaccia and the braised beef. The dessert was amazing.
Perfect spot for a date night! It’s moody, dim, and the staff is so attentive. My favourite dish was the anchovy bruschetta toast. Packed with flavour. I highly recommend added the anchovy for that extra salty kick. I got the truffle pasta and the octopus for mains. The truffle pasta was really buttery and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I did feel it was a bit one dimensional. While the truffle pieces were a nice crunch, it was essentially just buttered noodles. The octopus was cooked to perfection. The sauce it came in was too salty for me and didn’t pair well with the pasta. I kind of wish the waiter would’ve let us know that those two entrees don’t compliment each other. Overall, I had a lovely experience.
We visited the restaurant for Summerlicious and were very impressed with the food! Appetizers were amazing, especially the orange salad 🤤 so refreshing with the perfect amount of dressing. I had braised rabbit and just have to say… any meat exotic tastes like chicken lol Cannoli was very rich and filling, we had to take one home. They had some special drinks just for Summerlicious and we tried the cocktail called White Lotus. Highly recommend it if you like drinks that’s not too sweet. Perfect for the summer weather.
Restaurant located on Queen Street but the main entrance is at the side street opposite the gas station. Quite a big place, and divided into 3 sections, a bar, and 2 dining rooms. Ambience quite good and tonight is Saturday and quite busy but not full. Not a big menu and selections are limited. Appetisers are quite good especially the fried artichoke. Wood burning made pizza was also delicious. The pastas are audentate amd quite delicious. However, main course is less so especially the Florentina Steak. It was onlt warm when served and thus affected the meat's taste. Over priced as well for $200. COckage fee they charge is $55 per bottle. Overall, recommended.
We are so glad that we chose Noce to celebrate our anniversary this year! The staff members were so sweet and set us up at a lovely table with an amazing view of Queen St. W. The wine, appetizers, main courses, and dessert were hands down the best we’ve ever had. The flavours were impeccable and the ambience of the entire restaurant was great. We are definitely coming back again, one of our favourite Italian spots in the city.
So overall we had a great time. The service was excellent. We were a party of four and our waiter was extremely informative, patient, suggestive of items to try, he even separated our shared plates into equal sections for us. We ordered a bunch of food. Overall the food was good, however a bit expensive, for the result. We LOVED the mushroom ravioli, it was delicious, the lamb was pretty good, but it didn’t have that much meat on it. The halibut was good but again pretty small portion for the price. The burata was also tasty, but small for $24. See pictures below. We shared: 3 appetizers, 2 pastas, 2 meats, 2 desserts everyone had a drink. Our bill was $330 (not including tip).
Note: Updated & more detailed review of experience 3-4 years ago My gf and I went to Noce tonight. We had ordered takeout three times prior, but we had never dined in the restaurant. My gf who is a foodie, and is an established level 7 reviewer on Chowhoundgta, and has numerous scrumptious food photos on Instagram, Twitter, and card.co, was planning on doing a dine-in review. We had a reservation, and about 20 minutes after we were seated, my gf realized she was not wearing two of her rings. One was her absolute favourite silver and diamond ring. She mentioned she put them into her coat pocket, to put cream on her hands, forgetting them until that moment. My GF called a staff member over and asked if they would talk with the lady who had hung our coats. They were unable to find one of the two rings. And you guessed it the one ring they found was not her favourite. Needless to say my gf was upset. They tried to placate her by telling us they searched everywhere to no avail. Eventually, a gentleman came to the table asking what he could do for her . He did not introduce himself at all. As a matter of fact, none of the staff or servers introduced themselves! My gf told him that he could do nothing short of finding her ring (which they could not), but he insisted he wanted to do something . When my gf asked him what he thought he could do he made no offers. He simply stood next to her speechless. So she, abruptly, asked him to leave. He appeared insulted yet refused to leave to respect her request. My gf asked him why he now appeared upset being that he was not the one who had just lost a prized ring. He remained at the table, but appeared, visibly insulted. My GF continued to ask him to leave, but he refused to leave despite offering no viable solutions, and it now seemed he was goading her. He stayed firm at the table repeating that he was simply trying to help. I noticed that it was getting more heated, as it seemed he was being insulted and defiant towards my GF when she was telling him what he could do for her was to leave! I looked around for another staff member; as the situation felt turbulent. I saw three of them standing, with their hands folded in front of them, simply watching. Never once did any of the other staff members come to show concern or ask their colleague to take a breather; as anyone could see my GF was getting more upset with the servers presence and his refusal to leave. Finally, my GF, extremely frustrated by now, asked him again why he was still at our table. This time he was basically telling her to calm down . Fully frustrated she angrily told him to leave. Again, he refused to leave and to provoke her further, he had the audacity to say she was being aggressive towards him! Naturally we were both extremely upset now, being we are two black women, and this comment took things to another level of insult, and further disrespect for us as customers. At this point, we were fuming! We decided it was not worth it to stay and got up to leave. Suddenly, a couple of the previously observing staff now wanted to jump into action attempting to smooth over the situation. We had not received our meals yet, and despite them trying to comp our drinks we refused. We simply paid for our drinks and left. We are extremely, and horrendously, disappointed and will not be returning to Noce. We had expected to hear something from the manager of this establishment, via phone or through contact on this review, but nothing. From our dine-in experience, Noce seems to hire staff that like to disregard patron s personal space and who are racist. I can only conclude they do not vet their staff for varied cultural customer service or they are simply a racist establishment that only wants a certain type of patron.
Came down here on a Friday night for a friends birthday. 7 of us, reservation made... reservation even confirmed via email. Get there and the place is closed. Hours show they should be open but not a soul in sight at 7:30pm on a Friday night. One person came from Vaughan and another came from Brampton. Absolutely ridiculous to allow a reservation to happen and then nobodys there and no sign on the door saying xyz as to why
09/27/24 Had a reservation for 7 people for a milestone birthday. Multiple people coming in from out of town. Confirmation email the night before. Everyone arrives at the restaurant and it s closed. No calls, no notes, nothing. We tried to contact the restaurant and no answer. Shameful behaviour, also the audacity to send a follow up email asking how our night was the day after. Garbage, will never patronize this establishment, a d I ll make sure anyone who asks me about it knows to never go here.
No concept of service, I ve eaten here several times and recommended it to a friend. They unfortunately had to cancel late and they told them it would be no problem, not an issue at all. Then turned around and charged their credit card. I understand that restaurants are able to charge if customers do not show up, however if someone calls to cancel and the restaurant does not mention they will still charge them, that s on the restaurant! I have come here multiple times and recommended to friends, but now I will not return and no longer recommend it. You have lost a frequent customer and word of mouth recommendation. You should really consider lifetime value of a customer, word of mouth referrals and repeat business if you work in the service and hospitality industry.
Do not recommend this place. Ordered the Calamari Fritti and literally got 2 deep fried lemon slices literally gave me lemon rings instead of calamari rings. Called over them to complain, they simply ignored me and walked away. Avoid completely.
Very tasty
Delicious food, but limited gluten free options. Great cocktails.
Food was great but service was terrible. It took the server 15 minutes just to take our order. We literally had to waive him down. It was like that too after we finished our meal. I would understand if the place was busy but there were literally only 3 other tables. Thank God the food made up for it.
Really happy I stopped in here, The food is wow amazing The atmosphere is indie baroque and the music is on point. The fries are better than regular fries. Food : 5/5 |
Amazing food. The raw tuna had an amazing presentation and flavor. The vongole was great. My wife had gnocchi with tomato sauce (she s allergic to many things) and it was very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Five star experience! The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was intimate. The mushroom tartare was so delicious!!
A happening place. Service is excellent. People watch. A place to watch, relax and be seen. Recommend highly. Nice glassware as well.
This restaurant is a must visit for all occasions. The bar and drinks are amazing, the food is beyond delicious and the service is top notch. One of the best restaurants in this city. Fine dinning, casual dinning, after work drinks or a fabulous patio this place has it all.
A wonderful evening spent at Noche on our trip to Toronto. An Italian gem of a restaurant, we ate in thier main restaurant, had a selection of starters, all were excellent but the burrata was stand out. So fresh and flavourful with the bread toasted over the fire. Both our main courses were a delight and the service was wonderful. Super friendly staff, only too happy to help with recommendations and incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and how all the dishes were cooked. Also happy to talk whisky with me which is always appreciated! The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine list with something to suit all palettes and purse strings. All in all a fantastic evening, food excellent, drinks excellent, service excellent, this is why this place has been going for 29 years. They know what they re doing!
Came in for dinner last night and was served by Cameron. Food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. Cameron was polite, engaging and made some excellent menus suggestion. 10/10 would go back and ask for the same server.
Worst service I ve had in Toronto. Atmosphere was mediocre, food was just okay. Server even refused to split the bill and we were only 2 people. Would not recommend or return.
Quality food and service. A delight.
Lovely Italian fare and service and food were on point and great. Kid friendly and vegetarian options available.
The food here was really good, I would recommend the gnocchi over everything else. The atmosphere and service was okay, it s ideal for a date night:)
Cozy, authentic Italian place! Traditional pasta, fish and meat dishes on the menu.
Best Ravioli in Toronto
Amazing food choices!
The best thing we had was wine, burrata & beef tartare. Pasta was super over cooked, with a stew of a sauce - one big pile of goop. super dry oily bread which came with olives, as aside to burrata and tartare. Staff kept forcefully trying to remove our plates without providing clean plates for the next course. Had 0 Italian feel to food or atmosphere at all. I asked for an old fashioned cocktail and was served shots of cheap bourbon on 6 rocks of ice, like I was in some cheap western tavern - no bitters, syrup or any complexity of a cocktail. Disappointing
In my experience, the restaurant staff and owner seemed overly rationalist, which made the atmosphere cold and impersonal. It felt like they valued logic and reason over genuine hospitality. This approach made interactions with them feel robotic and insincere, ultimately detracting from the overall dining experience.
We visited here recently for an evening meal in Toronto. Our server was incredibly kind, chatty and attentive. All the food we had was brilliant, so tasty and excellent quality. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting!
I had a lovely dinner with my team at Noce last week. They were incredibly accommodating, made great wine recommendations and the atmosphere is very cozy with the wood fired oven behind the bar. I would love to come back during the summer to enjoy their patio. Show them some love!
Great service! Very classy, amazing staff, great vibe. Will go again.
Very good place. Amazing food and personal
Food was fantastic. Service was great, food was super tasty. Atmosphere was cozy.
The food was good, but overpriced. Getting the bill at the end left me thinking, I cant believe I just paid this for that. Had I paid a little less, or the food was a bit more special, I might have felt less disappointed. The atmoshpere was nice. Service was fine.
Gorgeous restaurant, we came in January and sat in the back room - there was a big family group seated next to us Food was delicious and straightforward Italian - the use of the charred grill combined with fresh lemon and herbs made the dishes all sing out - the gnocchi especially was memorable.. several items were sold out at 8:30 on a Saturday night - one of the specials and the bread pudding Service was top notch, we ordered a starter, split the gnocchi and both had mains - we were stuffed
Its such a lovely place in the heart of Queen West. My partner brought me here for my 50th birthday. We enjoyed the space and appreciated the eclectic decor. The service was wonderful, and our compliments to the chef!!! My sincere apologies for not taking any food pictures. I must have been distracted by the amazing company!! Thank you for the memorable experience
Food was good. Service of meal was okay. Management or owner; however, was absent to deal with wine that was spilled on me (waiter replaced my napkin that was used to clean up spill).and chair that collapsed underneath me when I went to sit down (another chair provided). I am sure it was all captured on your cameras. Several guests within the group witnessed this as well. Imagine if I was holding a small child, had a glass in hand or hit the edge of the table. A couple of wait staff did ask if I was okay. I was in complete shock after landing on the floor. The last thing I wanted to do at that point in time was spoil the evening for the guest of honour and did not want to cause a scene. I was pretty upset with what happened. I have sent the restaurant an email regarding this issue and followed up with a call today. Apparently no manager is on site tonight and the owner comes and goes according to the person who answered phone tonight. Surprised no response received as yet to email sent earlier this week. Although the food was good and the service somewhat attentive to the group, I feel the restaurant deserves only one star as I did not care for how this whole situation was dealt with. Not impressed!
Wonderful from start to finish. The staff were fantastic, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Would definitely come out again.
First of all, the menu on the website doesnt match the menu in the restaurant (although we checked a few hours before the reservation). We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 2 desserts. The only dish that, in our opinion, was tasty is the main with the octopus. Appetizers had an interesting texture, but not much taste. Didnt like desserts.
The flavors were great for every dish. Pizza and appeys were the best. Pasta was a little under cooked and the steak and braised rib was just ok. Would love to come back here in the summer to use the patio.
I am so glad I came and tried Noce. The food was delicious and they had so many options for vegans. I loved the negroni and the gnocchi. The service was spectacular, our server was great helping us choose a wine pairing and making sure the modified food items came in vegan. (I m sorry for forgetting the servers name, it started with an a and he was the best). 10/10 will be back
Delicious food, pricey given what they serve, but I enjoyed the food a lot (I was also so hungry going in).
My friends partner made the suggestion to go here for a catch up dinner. and Im glad they did! The staff were helpful, friendly and agile during a patrons medical emergency during service. They recovered quickly once the patron was helped and taken to a hospital. They checked in on everyone and were gracious by proving warmed olives. Tomato butter and bread; something they didnt have to do. Our server was kind, attentive and helped us move to another table when a large table of loud men came in for dinner. Again something she didnt have to do! The food was simple, warm and very tasty. For dessert they had a nostalgic classic from my childhood which we ordered and enjoyed immensely! Definitely a spot to come to for dinner! Ill be coming back again.
Great food and wonderful experience
Just a 5/5 experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, however it was the amazing staff and food that really made the experience exceed expectations.
Food was delicious, service was very nice and recommended a great bottle of wine but the food was slow coming out.
Easily one of my favourites in the city
Undercooked/ still hard in the middle pasta, even after sending it back. Cant complain about the service or atmosphere though. Our waiter was great, we just didnt have the heart to send the food back a second time + we were hungry.
This place is outstanding. Ive been here twice, once on a date, and again with friends. Both times, its been quiet, the food had been delicious, and the staff have been spot on. Would highly recommend Food
Went to this restaurant because guide books declared it one of the top ten restaurants in Toronto. Information also said it was open until 1 AM, so I figured there was plenty of time and no reason to assume food would be unavailable. Arrived there only for attendendents to say the kitchen was closed and only drinks were being served. If you are open late, you should also offer food during operating hours, no matter how late. This is lazy and no way to run a business!
Everything at this restaurant was super tasty - we ordered the focaccia, burrata, branzino, and porterhouse steak. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the wine and very nice.
Nice meal
I chose to go here from reading various reviews from others and looking at the pictures of their various meals thinking that this would be a great place to take my mum for her last night in the city. I was unfortunately wrong. When we got to the restaurant everything was pretty nice the server was quick to seat us and bring menus and water but after he left from bringing back drinks we got a totally different waiter who was ruder and left us waiting frequently. I ordered the focaccia as a thing to share with my mum and gf but when it arrived we where shocked to see it had seeds on top, especially when the menu didn t mention it. My mother has a seed intolerance and we where not asked about any allergies or food intolerance we might have before ordering, though i did specify this in our reservation as asked by the online form. It took a while before anyone asked for our mains, and only when they took out mains order the server finally asked about any allergys/intolerances we might have. As for the food both my mother and girlfriends orders where disappointing and mediocre at best, the tenderloin steak was overcooked and charred to a point of burnt, while the vegetables where also overcooked with little to no life left in them. The mushroom ravioli was also disappointing, as when it arrived the pasta was undercooked and the sauce had split, when we brought this up the server proceeded to gaslight us by telling us that was how its supposed to be cooked. We asked to get it remade and cooked for longer when the second dish arrived it was much better and properly cooked. When we did get the bill they where kind enough to not charge us for the over cooked steak but by that point we were all pretty dissatisfied with our experience. Dietary restrictions: Be careful as they sometimes forget to ask about any dietary restrictions you might have and various menu items dont fully disclose the ingredients used in a dish.
Disappointment with a side of gaslightinging. Youd expect a place this expensive would at least have clean side plates. When we made the reservation we were asked about allergies and informed them of a nut/seed allergy. We STILL were served a focaccia with seeds (the menu didnt indicate this, otherwise we wouldnt have ordered it. Also this focaccia had ZERO herbs on it.) Our server asked us AFTER that if there were any allergies- a little too late. The menu selection itself is very small, with no basic options which makes it hard to find something suitable if you have dietary restrictions such as FODMAP. The raviolis sauce was extremely soupy (but didnt get a spoon) and the pasta itself straight up wasnt cooked all the way through, like the edges were still too hard. When I told the server about this, he went back to the kitchen and informed me the kitchen said that its fresh pasta and its supposed to be that way. I work in fine dining myself, I know what consistency cooked pasta dough has. They kindly offered me a fresh plate. The steak wasnt cooked medium (very overcooked) and the vegetables were charred beyond recognition. We chose this place based on the positive reviews, but the quality of the food was disappointing for what it costs.
I think this place is 4 star but they honestly lost me at saying on their website that a menu was available till a certain day and a new one starts a certain day, just to show up and it be a totally different menu in the restaurant. Its fine if you have a sample menu only but that wasnt the case here.
Horrible experience. We were a group of 5 and we tried to get couple of drinks before we head to another bar and we came across this restaurant. After the server took our orders it took them 10 mins to bring-out two drinks and we waited another 5 to 7 mins for third persons drink and the forth drink was totally missed to the point we received our pizza but not our drink. Not only the server was quite rude he did not admit to his mistake. Add the end he gave us the machine and charge 20% tip for him self and when I asked him he said the tip is included for a group of 5 or more. I found that odd but we paid and left. When we came out i looked it up online and their menu says for a group of 6 or more the gratuity is applied. What horrible way to rip off your customers.
Lovely food and amazing service, Bryce was a superb server! I 10/10 recommend. I will definitely be coming back.
I had the Ravioli. Ravioli Con Salsiccia. It was fantastically delicious!! The staff is lovely but I think they need more servers. We had a few drinks, but factored price and service time into the equation we got familiar really quick!! As in, you will wait a long time for everything, including drinks. Don t visit this restaurant on a budget!! A European 33 cl beer costs $10. A 5 ounce glass of wine is $15! And, depending on what you eat, portions are small (my meal at least, being hungry and waiting so long ). That said, they have a lovely patio, a wonderful hostess, and the food is FANTASTIC!! We didn t aim for this restaurant, we chose it in passing. I am sure many go there because that s where they wanted to eat! And I report zero flaws with food! It was amazing from a taste perspective!!
Hard to find restaurants with passionate staff and a loving owner in his chef whites, who only uses the elements of fire and fresh ingredients to create a masterpiece we refer to as food. As I went to the Lou, I had to double back and admire the kitchen. Beautiful! Restaurant to Restaurant owners fantastic job! Vegetarian options: Fantastic!
Loved it! Our waiter, Bryce, gave us recommendations for our cocktails and was an amazing host all night. The food was amazing, I got the seafood gnocchi and would highly recommend to a friend.
We came here for the first time on our honeymoon and had a beautiful evening. Bryce suggested we go off-menu for drinks and asked about our usual preferences. He came back with a couple delicious and unique cocktails! Thanks for a great night
Awesome dining experience last night! Fungi Pizza and Egg Pasta fettuccine was perfect so we re the cocktails. Food is authentic and service definitely a five star. Well done Noce and staff.
Highway robbery with the special menu. $25 for egg noodles in butter and thin noodles with tomato sauce in a can. Wed enjoy it at 3am after a few cocktails but 9pm on a Friday youd expect better. Cocktails were on point, atmosphere is always great. Make sure there isnt a special menu before you go Vegetarian options: they have it Dietary restrictions: they have it Parking: have to find it away from the restaurant Kid-friendliness: yes Wheelchair accessibility: they have it
The Lasagna was good but small dish. And the espresso martini is really good as well.
I had the pleasure of dining at Noce last week and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff is truly professional and knowledgeable, making our visit exceptional. The service was top-notch, and the expertise of our waiter Bryce in guiding us through the menu was much appreciated. The food and drinks were equally impressive, with delicious flavors and beautifully presented dishes. I cant wait to return to Noce for another memorable meal!
We had a group of 5 go out for a friends birthday and it is a gorgeous place to go out, I have also come here for an anniversary so the place is very versatile. As well, the staff members were very kind, and very willing to help you choose something you liked
Spent the night catching up with some friends I hadn t seen in about 20 years here, and it was the perfect place. I really enjoyed the olive appetizer dish as well as the delicious carpaccio. My meal consisted of an amazing gnocchi bowl that was simply outstanding. Addition to all that the room was beautiful, warm, and relaxing and the serving staff were absolutely amazing. I ll be back.
Great location
Delicious duck confit cannelloni and dessert. They also serve pizza as well.
NOCE was a culinary serenade, with an ambiance that felt inspired by a love letter. The service was extraordinary, but the tiramisu, alas, was a dessert diva having an off day a bit like a sour biscotti in a sea of perfection. Still, NOCE is a charming spot for a taste of Italy to be enjoyed alongside good company.
Hands down, one of the best restaurants in Toronto! The food is mouth watering and definitely something that will have you coming back. The staff is 10/10. The design and all of the details show! They are also so accommodating!
amazing service and the food was incredible! We will definitely be back soon
Both the service and food was great. We both ordered pizzas, and the funghi pizza was really good! My espresso martini was a little too sweet for my liking but I should have just asked for no simple syrup. Overall, really nice experience and atmosphere. I would come back.
The 2 stars I am givng only because of the servers and their hospitality which was awesome. Food was overpriced and didnt taste good at all. Pasta sauce tasted like raw blended tomatoes. Expected better from a fine dining restaurant.
Amazing restaurant.. spectacular food and service. Definitely will return. Highly recommended
Wow, what a fabulous restaurant!! I went last night, Nov 13, for the first time The food was amazing. Each dish was so fresh and delicious and presented beautifully. The portions were generous. The restaurant itself has a great ambience with three distinct areas making the place really comfortable I can t wait to go back.
I had the best chicken dinner I have ever had in Toronto, ... ever! NOCE Italian Resteraunt, on Queen Street West. This was a last minute take out choice for us, and I was totally taken to Nirvana and I was moaning and groaning with pleasure and it is a good thing it was take out. My husband had the fish and we didnt speak during the whole experience ... a big shout out to NOCE ... I cant wait to eat out on your beautiful patio.
Conveniently located Italian joint right beside trinity bellwoods. Gnocchi was in a league of its own and the funghi pizza was also fantastic. (Recommend getting the hot oil for the pizza) oh and cool cocktails!
WOW! Very great experience where the ambiance of the restaurant matches the attentive service while the culinary offerings will satisfy the most seasoned palate. If you seek quality In all areas, this place is a must. Highly recommend to make reservations and then sit back and enjoy the culinary journey.
Amazing food. Wonderful space. Incredibly attentive and friendly staff.
Fantastic staff. Excellent food. A perfect place for a memorable meal.
okay, but wouldnt go back
The food was amazing! Services was fantastic and quick. My friends are I fell in love with their carpaccio and their fungi pizza! Beautiful atmosphere aswell!
Water was $10
Dont order waters, they will charge you $10 for them
Food and service was great!
Went with a friend during Sunmerlicious one year. Lamb tartare was unchewable, beef ribs were unchewable, dessert portion was tiny and looked like it came from a supermarket. So basically I didnt eat anything for $80. Unfortunately my experience wasnt very good.
Owner and staff are incredible, its always an experience, food is delicious and if you can sit on the patio, its truly a Toronto experience
A really lovely experience.
Found most of the food lacking taste or flavour and a little pricey. Our table of six was given two of the breads, which were really good, we asked for two more and we re charged $10 each for them, which seems a little high, service was pretty good but around midnight the music was turned off, which was a you don t have to go home, but you got to get out of here moment
Very good place. Very accommodating and friendly owner and staff. Got the pizza and steak, and it was delicious Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating to my 2 year old, who loved the pizza
Amazing service and food, definitely planning on revisit
Overrated , pasta just ordinary , wine serving is too little not the standard serving . They can do better. The staff seems in a hurry to get our orders and get us out
Thanks again.
Food is amazing! Staff is very friendly, and the service is great!
Our family stopped in at Noce for some wine and a charcuterie plate a couple of weeks ago. The service was excellent and the wine was good so the 2-star rating is a reflection of being charged 12.99 PER GLASS of lemonade for each of our 2 boys. Yes thats right...I paid $25.98 (plus tax and tip) for 2 glasses of lemonade. Absolutely ridiculous. Thats basically a way saying to families that their kids arent welcome there.
Cozy and beautiful restaurant. The food was amazing. It s a nice restaurant for a romantic dinner.
expensive. worst mushroom pizza ive had, why did it taste like a sweet jam pizza ya it says honey chives but it didnt say dessert. awful customer service. didnt eat it and they did nothing about it, and as our group was leaving the manager was staring and laughing screw this place
I dont often post negative reviews, but in this case it was warranted. It started with the servers recommendation on the wine list: On a Tuesday night, Im probably not going for the $200+ range. Friday? Sure. Celebration Saturday? Sure. But for a we dont feel like cooking Tuesday? Hard no. Im sure it was a great suggestion. But... Then when ordering, a shared salad and two past entrees for the two of us. Amazing salad, loved it. The ravioli tasted great, but there were 5 squares on the plate. 5. Could the server who suggested the $200 wine have tipped me off that the ravioli is first plate size? Would have been a nice touch. The other pasta was a solid serving, but the $27 ravioli (again, delicious) was a bit of a kick. Noce will always be a great stop for take out pizza, but dine-in isnt a future option for me.
Food, service, experience, value - everything was disappointing. Atmosphere is nice though
Love this place! Delicious Italian food and amazing service:) and great wine
Great wine. And (mostly) great service. Our server was excellent but the manager seemed to disregard (and mock) my preference as a pescatarian. Offered me duck... Other than his arrogance, the woman who served us was excellent. If not for the fact I was with guests I would have taken him down a few notches about his knowledge of food. He was a disaster. But the other people were excellent. And the food was very good. He needs a little adjustment. Probably a new job.
Parking: The best Fungi pasta and the novelty was the shaving of truffles. Divine.
Not a good experience. We had a reservation but still waited an hour to be served. No complimentary bread while waiting. Table of eight nearby was so loud as to make it unpleasant not only for us but other diners as well. One complained to management to no avail. Had we not been waiting for a guest we would have left. Food was mediocre but expensive. Five very salty and dried out ravioli was the worst dish of three mains. Not edible. $200 for 3 glasses of wine, 1 appetizer, and 3 mains was over the top.
An absolute gem in the heart of Queen West. The food and service was excellent. We had a great time
Great food and ambiance as always! A top spot to eat when in Toronto!
Everything is terrific, as usual
Fantastic service, great ambience, the food was mostly good, but it wasnt anything spectacular, especially for the price. The mushroom pate was fantastic!
The patio was nice. Disappointed to find their pizza oven was out of service. Service was ok.
The two of us went for dinner and did not come out of Noce unimpressed. The food is every bit delectable starting from the pizza pepperoni to gnocchi with some nice chardonnay to compliment our food. For dessert we ordered the Strawberry shortbread tiramisu as my wife doesnt like Nutella but omg it was so amazing
We arrived 15 minutes early. Since there we numerous empty tables we asked if we could sit earlier. But they refused to let us sit and even said well you are early? Waste of revenue for NOCE I would have had an additional drink. We were then rushed by the waiter who was insisting on us ordering everything at once. We stated we didn t Want to, we wanted to gauge if we ordered more food. And the waiter was clearly annoyed by the fact. We had to repeatedly ask and fight for every drink, took too long to get the check while many people waits for tables. Great food! Horrible service and attitudes.
Came here with one of my girlfriends for dinner a couple days ago, their patio is super cute. We ordered their burrata and calamari to start, both were delicious, especially the burrata, the calamari came with some smoked tartar sauce, super yummy! Then we shared the Funghi pizza for main, it was delicious as well! I am giving 4 stars because everything was good until towards the end, we were told by the server that we have overstayed and was rushing us out, she took away our bottle of wine when we had not even finished it. I think it would had been a good idea for her to mention we only had two hours to dine-in when we ordered the second bottle, instead of bringing the second bottle and start to rush us out. Everything was great but that incident, otherwise the good is great!
Great food, amazing cocktails, best patio on Queen street. Fantastic service
The patio was nice and big for this part of the city, plus it was a good spot for people watching. We did have a blip with our order, which initially was handled a bit oddly by the staff, but ultimately they came through. Food was good, and their wine selection is noteworthy.
Great patio, perfect for a meal outside! The service was good as well. This place was recommended by friends of mine and it did not disappoint I had the Pizza and a Paper Plane to drink both were great. Ill be back to try other things
The mushroom pate is excellent and the gnocchi was delicious but maybe not worth the price. The shrimp pasta is also pretty good. Even though we were there on a busy Friday the service was quick and friendly.
Amazing food and atmosphere!
Crazy expensive, tiny portions and very less food options if you are vegetarian. They made us wait 45 minutes for our mains after serving our starter and barely attended to us all because we decided to not order drinks so they knew they would not make as much in tips.
Nice patio and calamari but pasta was awful - ordered the overpriced gnocchi and the shrimp pasta. Both bland. Wouldn t return here.
Ordered the Burrata and Yellowfin Tuna Tartare to start. both appetizers were SO delicious. my friend said it was the best Burrata hes tasted and i couldnt agree more. we were skeptical to try the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare but immediately changed our minds after trying it. It comes with endive cups (imagine little lettuce scoopy cups) that you place the tartare in and it was so addictive! Every ingredient harmonized with the fresh tuna. For our main, we ordered the Tagliatelle pasta. tbh I wasnt super impressed with this. Noodles were al dente however the overall flavour was lacking. I do have to point out though they are currently serving their summer menu so I think they were presenting lighter dishes. For drinks, they have such a wide selection!!! Our waitress mentioned that they can accommodate/create any drink if nothing catches our eye. I just got a Paper Crane cocktail that was super delicious. Definitely coming back to try more appetizers and will probably order the Gnocchi next based off of peoples reviews. service was great, didnt feel rushed, meets covid guidelines.
Great place, great service right across from the Trinity Bellwoods
The ambience and cocktails are done very nicely at this place. Recommend their desserts, very tasty. Some of the mains weren t as good as I expected for the price.
Tasty Italian food, fast takeout with friendly staff.
We had an amazing dinner. We loved the tagliatelle and mushroom pizza, and the burrata was to die for. Service is very excellent. We weren t feeling a classic sweet dessert, so the chef designed a cheese plate for us that wasn t on the menu. Excellent wine, highly recommended!
A real Italian Pizza! Apart from the food quality (which was great), the staff and owner were super nice and friendly. It was an excellent experience, but remember to reserve in advance, they are usually really busy during weekends. Oh! And don t forget to try their delicious desserts as well.
Excellent food and very quick service
Have been coming here for many years and the food never disappoints! The calamari and funghi pizza are the die for! Highly recommend this gem!
Great food. excellent customer service. Will be back!
Great food Terrible server , although other servers around us were excellent to their patrons.
Great food! Service couldve been better
Went twice and enjoyed each time. The menu is great and the food tasty. Prices seem fair for the portions and quality.
For the most fresh, most welcoming, most warm and most tasty meals and environment, Noce is the only place to consider. Everything on the menu is generous and tasty. The staff is a reflection of the owners - professional, welcoming and caring. Go - trust me, just go - and have a great meal!!
The staff are amazing, especially Elena the owner. I came here with a friend and she took such great care of us, we truly felt like the only table in the restaurant. Their cocktails are fabulous, and the ambience is great- if youre looking for a great place for conversation and easy drinks this is it.
Just such an amazing experience. Wonderful people and food. We appreciated our night here so much.
Loved the martinis. The octopus was good. The pasta was excellent
Frankly speaking that is one of the best restaurant in Toronto. Little it pricey but try it. Tasty, friendly and fast
this restaurant was beautiful with great food - the burrata and pizzas were fantastic!
Went for a special event. Delicious food and wonderful service. Great location as well.
Located in a vibrant part of Toronto. The restaurant has large windows that create a beautiful ambience. The food was exquisite.
Lovely place with friendly employees. You eat what you pay for it.
Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. The food is not the best of Italian food that you can get however it is good.
Great food and environment but extremely pricy.
Bravo to Noce Restaurant! Food was excellent and tasted so fresh! Highly recommend!
I don t normally leave reviews but this restaurant deserves it. I was here last night and was met with incredible service from the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left. The ambience has such a warm vibe, the food was exceptional, and the staff are beyond knowledgeable. Our server Alesia was great, we will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing experience!
Cozy and nice family place!
Went to Noce last weekend and we did not have a pleasant experience. We were greeted by the hostess who told us that we would be seated at the bar and once our table was ready, we would then be taken to our table. Even though we had reservations, we had no issue with this request as we love sitting at the bar. As soon as we sat at the bar, she came over and apologized because she had to move us. When asked why we had to move she said they had to accommodate the owners friends. We spoke to the manager, because we wanted to bring to his attention we didnt appreciate that. Its one thing to accommodate extra guests, but it felt like youre not important enough so we are going to move you. He did not care and didnt even apologize. This is the situation, he said. Why didnt we go somewhere else? We would have, but a large stretch of Queen St is under construction and it was cold. Not going to walk around in the cold without reservations. So we decided to stay despite the awful first impression. We ordered drinks, an appetizer to share and a main for each of us. The appetizer never came, and the pasta was mediocre. If an Italian restaurant has a mushroom and truffle pasta on the menu, chances are Im going to order it. The pasta looked beautiful, but was one of the least flavourful Ive had. We asked what happened to the appetizer and a waitress said they didnt enter it in. Overall an awful, subpar and regrettable experience.
Owner was very rude
We had a great time. Maria was great! Food was excellent. well be back!
Shockingly expensive for what we received, but the service was very good. I was highly annoyed at the manager when my wife asked for a rosé recommendation and he chose the most expensive bottle on the list.
Had a delightful meal here and the service was top notch. The cocktails were probably the highlight, and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. Worth the walk through Queen West construction.
My partner and I came on a cozy Wednesday evening, pretty busy. I must say, we had the most fantastic experience. To start, the ambience in the front room was fantastic. Beautiful decor, very upscale yet felt also like home. The food! Course after course was phenomenal. Noce is not necessarily inexpensive, however you can taste the quality of literally every ingredient, no expense is spared and it shows. For example, the bottle of olive oil that came with the bread was absolutely top notch! A small gesture which plays into what you have in store. Our server was absolutely fantastic ( wish I could remember her name!) I would all round recommend this restaurant for a beautiful evening out. Will be returning
Had an exceptional dinner here. Everything was just right. One of the best overall experiences I ve had in years.
Amazing food and wine. Head chef Eron is a beauty. He always takes great care of his customers. Theyve been doing great take out during Covid! Theyve also opened up their amazing patio right across from Trinity bellwoods park. Stop in for one of their signature cocktails and a delicious meal.
Lovely food and amazing service. I loved their patio and outdoor seating. Highly recommend the pizza!
Michele was amazing! Food was amazing! Elena was amazing! Awesome vibe! You have to go! We loved the spicy marg was incredible!
Incredible food, no live music/dj or any other kind. Service ok. The burrata on pizza was heavenly but seeing other reviews with pictures - mine only had the cheese, sauce and three tomatoes. Ask for it to come loaded.
Food was good. The have fire stove pizza. Nice little place
Wonderful with great service
If my grandmother was Italian and an amazing chef, I would still prefer to eat here. The chef and team at Noce have curated an experience that could only ever been matched in Italy. I recommend the cocktails and pasta, but any tipple that interests you is bound to exceed expectations. Highly recommend for date night and birthday dinners.
An amazing atmosphere and incredible food and service! The staff went out of their way to make us feel safe with their policies regarding COVID-19 while simultaneously wowing my family with the high quality of their food, drink and service. I cant wait to go back again and again! Highly recommend!
I was super impressed with this place. It blew me away - thought it would be overrated but definitely the opposite. The ingredients are fresh and flavourful, you can really taste the quality. The dishes look small but they were filling and delicious. It s not just art on a plate. We also got the octopus (not pictured) and it was HUGE and so tender. The cocktails were unique - loved the spicy peach margarita. Perfect hint of sweet peach with spicy chilli mixed with tequila. The atmosphere is lovely too - would absolutely recommend for a date night or occasion.
Amazing food, amazing service. One of the best restaurants in Toronto! Elena and Eron are very welcoming and gracious. They take all the precautions for Covid, I felt very safe eating here.
Amazing food. Great service. Make sure to order the polenta fries with the sauce. so good!
Service is really good and so are the cocktails. Only reason why I didn t give 5 is because I think they re a little on the pricier end
I used to come to this place all the time and my last experience was horrendous. Rude service, a fish that took 1 hour and 45 minutes and on top of that i emailed the restaurant giving a detailed feedback so they could be aware but no response at all. Take your money elsewhere.
I ordered a cocktail that took forever to arrive while my companion was drinking hers, then it finally arrives but the main followed almost immediately after :( ~ But my main was the mushroom ravioli, it was delicious! My companion had an undercooked Margarita pizza but loaded with prosciutto. Dessert was very good with cappuccinos. Waiter gave me a shot of coffee liquor at the end to make up for the cocktail, ty.
Italian family run restaurant. Good pasta and pizza. Patio/restaurant is facing a busy street. (4/5)
My wife and I purchased dinner through the visa infinite at home dining series. The whole meal was amazing
Covered patio which is hard to find. Sat down at 745 and didnt eat dinner til 1030. Was not worth it for the price and food was meh.
They understood gluten free allergies and celiac, which is key. The food was amazing! The gluten free gnocchi was delicious - Ive now had it there twice and it was delicious! Their patio is so warm and they didnt rush us for my birthday dinner. The staff was so accommodating and lovely. Was such a special night both times I went. Highly recommend.
Wow! How is this the first time I ve ever eaten at Noce?! What an incredible spot. Great portions, cozy patio and delicious plates. Highly recommend the burrata and the gnocchi. Our sever was also very gracious. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
The food and service were amazing. I highly recommend the mushroom ravioli!
The owner, Elena, accommodated a reservation for my friends and I at the last minute and was extremely diligent about calling us back to organize it. She came by our table to check on everything in the middle of the meal as well. I would definitely love to be back soon.
great experiance
I have wanted to dine at Noce for almost 2 decades and finally made it happen this past Friday. I decided to surprise my gf with a fancy take out date night and we were both extremely happy with our meal. We shared the Insalata Noce which was the perfect combo of endive, walnut, apple, maple syrup vinaigrette and gorgonzola. Was a perfect salad with complex and complimentary flavours. For our mains, we had the gnocchi (perfectly done), and the branzino (generous portion to say the least). Looking forward to our next take out meal and cant wait to dine in once the pandemic is over :)
Fantastic restaurant! Great team and wonderful food. Best Carbonara in town
Food and cocktails were great
I work for a law firm, and we were in desperate need of something exciting for our virtual holiday party, and Noce absolutely saved us. They curated a menu for us, which had three courses, and two cocktails. The food was absolutely stunning, packaged extremely well, and was delivered with care, to everyone in our firm (14 people). The portions were generous, and I even had leftovers for a late night snack. Elena was so helpful and lovely throughout the process, answering all my questions, and taking care of everything, so all we had to worry about was enjoying our spectacular meal. Would definitely recommend, and hopefully we can dine in person at Noce for next years party! Ill be dreaming of the burrata with brussel sprouts for a while.
Noce blew me away. Their packaging of food and cocktails for takeout (with separate containers, heating and plating instructions) was extremely thoughtful and effective and the meal was amazing. Highly recommend for a nice meal-in that feels like a nice night out! Cant wait to go there in person when were through this pandemic.
