Piano Piano Restaurant in Toronto

I had such high expectations because the Harbord location has ALWAYS been exceptional. It was a relatively quiet brunch service, so one would tend to expect better attention to detail. The server didnt pour water, offer us sparkling, make mention of the drink menu, or even make any suggestions. Both Manager and server were less than engaging, and while I dont need an overly talkative server, a little energy is always appreciated. An order taker is not what you Ive come to expect from Piano Piano. When the $36 lunch special arrived, the apps and mains arrived at the same time leaving our mains (pastas & pizzas) cold when the time came to eat them. The food itself then became very flat in flavour because it was left sitting noting that we were not offered any Parmesan, pepper or other condiments. We were never asked for refills on our teas and coffees. When we finally asked our server for more tea, they brought us the tea pots without any teabags and forgot to bring out one guests tea altogether. I had to get up and ask them to bring what was requested. We ordered a sparkler cheesecake for the guest of honour which -while delicious- was placed in front of the wrong person. When we had all visibly finished our meals and had spent 15-20 mins chatting, we had to get the servers attention to finally bring the bills. Keep in mind this is not a large venue and there is full guest visibility from pretty much every vantage point. While some people know that auto-grat on a large group is expected, the server didnt mention it to all guests, and some were unknowingly prepared to pay on top of the 20%. Overall, I was left very underwhelmed.

Piano Piano left me disappointed. We brought a cake for a birthday, and they charged a $5 per slice fee just to cut it seriously? The $26 pizza was a joke with only two tiny sausage pieces. The rigatoni tasted like bland mac and cheese, and the pancetta was missing in action. Overpriced and underwhelming, this place isn t worth it. Plenty of better Italian options out there.

Delicious food, great vibes and great cocktail menu. This is our go to spot for date night or with groups. Great place for sharing family style, the menu is full of great selections. Highly recommend the carrot cake for dessert! Its a must try at least once!

The atmosphere was nice and the service was also very good but the food is very very average, the portions are suuuuuper small and pricy without a reason. Overall not a bad experience but again it was not worth the price! Will not go there again.

The most disappointing Italian restaurant that I have come across, I was expecting something special and attractive from a culinary point of view, there were four of us and we wanted to choose the menu with the 3 dishes, we were told on the phone when we made the reservation that we would be able to choose the 3 dishes as we pleased, when we got there we couldnt choose, all 4 of us had to choose the same pizza or pasta, the same aperitif, only that they gave us a larger quantity, which we we refused, because we wanted to eat diversified, not all the same, we asked for fish or seafood and they told us that there must be more of us to be able to serve us with fish, in the end we chose separately 2 pitiful carbonara 2 pasta with vodka was very spicy and without pancetta as it was written in the menu and a horrible pizza that was left half on the plates because we didnt like 3 juices and a beer for which we paid $190, disgusting from all points of view, even if I someone invite me to go there again, I dont want to go anymore

A truly great restaurant, we went in with high hopes and were not let down. From the food to the service, everything was perfect. Our server Addy also ensured we had the best experience. A really really great restaurant, will be back.

The mushroom cavatelli was cooked perfectly al dented with a rich white sauce and delicious oyster mushrooms. Decor is artful with a welcoming atmosphere. Waiter was very friendly and very attentive.

Food was very underwhelming. Mains came cold and didn t taste fresh. Service started great but when it came time to pay our bill our server would not come to our table. When almost half hour went by , my husband had to walk around the restaurant to find someone to come so we can pay and leave. I will not be going back. Very disappointed. Two stars only because the server greeted as warmly at the start.

Im unsure as to how I can leave a review on a server; however, the person taking care of my table, Kimia Kalantari, made our experience 10 times better. She consistently checked up on us to make sure we were enjoying the service and allowed me and my friends to enjoy our dinner in a way we wouldnt have anywhere else. The atmosphere is great and the service was pleasant.Food was mediocre.I ordered branzino that was not lazy at all, seemed to have some weird glaze on top.The cesar salad was way overdressed and lobster pasta was bland.

Celebrated our first anniversary here and we had an amazing time! We got to sit inside the vault which was a very romantic and intimate space. Our server Guinevere went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions and made our memory here very special. The food was amazing, we couldn t get enough of the mushroom cavatelli which was very flavorful. The toasted focaccia was crispy on the outside and pillowy soft when you bite into it. Perfect to wipe up any leftover sauce. We also loved the calamari fritti. So glad they have a special - lobster fusilli, it had the perfect amount of kick to it! Piano piano does not disappoint! We will for sure be back here again!

Food was overall OK. The pizza was good but a bit oily. As an Asian, I felt undervalued by not receiving the same service as the other tables, e.g not filling up water for us until we asked for it and not smiling towards us. I regret giving a full tip to the waitress.

The atmosphere of this place makes me feel like I m actually in Italy. From the decoration and even the menus make it look aesthetic. Amazing food and staff aswell! We had a couple of the pastas and appetizers that was very tasty and authentic. Josh was pretty friendly as our server too, making us all comfortable with our stay.

I celebrated my birthday with some friends and family. Service was exceptional and our server Josh was so nice and attentive when it comes to our table. Dishes were really good and our plates always gets replenish every course. I would definitely go back again

Overpriced and over-salted food. The service is very hit or miss - it s either fantastic or abysmal with no in between - it s bad value for the money. For that price there are way better places to eat, with far superior service.

My chicken was sooo fresh and delicious, the raviolis and fried calamari were incredible along with the crunch side of the pizza... every dish came straight from the kitchen super hot exactly à mon goût.. dont miss to go to Piano Piano. I cant wait to go.back again!

We had a three course that may have been the best of my life. The staff were second to none.

My Pizza was burnt, and the bottom layer got blackened. Even the top layer! The mushrooms and olives got bitter due to burning! The only things I liked about the restaurant were the polite staff and the patio.

I m posting a photo for general understanding, you must collect the plates and cutlery yourself so that they pay at least some attention to you within 20 minutes after collecting, it s clearly visible and clear who is served first, if you re the first one here, don t expect that you will be served as expected. ...

The worst experience of my life, the steak was $99 and it was charcoal burned. The service was terrible, didn t get cutlery till we asked after we got our food. Also the cutlery was brought without napkins. Our server just came once and he didn t even came to bring us our bill, it was the other guy that cleaned up our table. Not recommended at all! Servers name was Nick. Very disappointed.

The inside of the restaurant looked really nice, the outside of the restaurant did not make me feel like I was at a fine dining restaurant. We saw a mouse, and our tables outside were quite small and intimate for 5 people. Food was mid for Italian food, I had visited the Colborne location and was much more impressed with their atmosphere and food. The service was really good, there were a lot of hands constantly taking and refreshing our cutlery. We tried the last flight to Venice cocktail , it was alright. We had an assortment of plates, for the appetizers we got the burrata, which was good, but did not love the baked grapes. The calamari was a nice big tasty plate, I would definitely recommend, and the olives weren t bad. For pizza s, we like the fun guy so much we ordered it twice. I personally had a Mushroom Cavatelli, which was slightly to al dente for me, sauce was ok. My grandma got the Ravioli Bolognese, which looked really good. Dessert was nice, we got the tiramisu, and they brought over a huge sparkler, for a birthday we had. Overall, I think the inside is a more luxurious experience, food was good and their house wine was great. Would definitely visit again. Parking: No parking at the restaurant, depending how busy the day is, you may have to look around for a bit. Kid-friendliness: The patio seemed pretty kid friendly.

The pizza was not bad but the service was very slow, after first order, nobody paid attention to us and even though we asked twice about some drinks we wanted to order, we never got an answer. Unfortunately, we left quite disappointed. Definitely not an experience I was hoping for the money we spent.

The Carbonara was kraft dinner. $8 for a bottle of sparkling water. They lied about reservations on the patio, so we would sit inside. Terrible experience. I will not be coming back.

I had pasta that tasted like it came from a low-quality canteen: overcooked and flavorless. Shockingly, it cost $30. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Our daughter and SIL booked the private room at the midtown location. Great ambiance, and the food and service were great.

Best pizza in the city

Great pizza, salad, and ambiance!

Our party of six had high hopes for a great dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell short. The food took ages to arrive, and the service was incredibly slow. When the food finally came, it was underwhelming and nothing to write home about. Needless to say, we won t be returning.

We have been lucky enough to eat out regularly, in Toronto and many other places. We have eaten at the Mount Pleasant location of Piano Piano several times; the evenings are a bit too busy and noisy for our taste, though it obviously suits many others. For the first time, we had lunch there today. A much quieter and more pleasant atmosphere. The food was very good - the chopped salad, pizza and lemon cheesecake were all good. But the standout, and the reason will will be returning, was the outstanding service. Sheldon was professional , attentive, and as good a waiter as anyone could ask for. We will definitely return.

Good restaurant however for the price point could be better.

This is a fun little local place that we can walk to. The crowd clearly lives nearby because they all look like rich white homeowners. Houses start around $2 million dollars nearby so you can do the math on what the guests look like. That being said, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table but at the last minute the bartender offered us a couple of glasses of Prosecco which improved the situation. The pizza was really good and in fact most of the food was good. We didnt want to order a main course so to finish off we ordered a plate of olives and it seemed like they gave us the entire jar lol. Ive never seen so many olives in one place. I dont normally complain when the portions are too large but this was over the top. Were talking about 50 olives. The server was professional and not overly chatty or friendly which suits the restaurant. Most people were dressed smart casual for dinner and there were quite a few birthday celebrations going on which made the atmosphere a little festive.

Very good food and service

Decent quality food at high price. We got the mushroom appetizer, dont remember the name and it was good. For our main dish we got the Fun Guy pizza which was really not great. The garlic dip we got with it was delicious but the pizza itself was super bland. The Nutella tiramisu for dessert which was great, despite its size. Servers are incredibly eccentric, one of them was very touchy while the other one started berating me for being a man after complaining about her ex-husband.

Ahhh where do I start?! My friend held her Bridesmaid proposal lunch here in the North York location and it was almost perfect. They gave us a private room called the Rose Room I believe, where the 10 of us sat to have lunch and where she proposed to us. From the start to end, their service was wonderful. The waitresses were so kind to us! They made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. They helped us take photos of our group without hesitation and it honestly just elevated the entire experience. The Bride ordered us a 3 course menu and it was fantastic!!! I tried to maintain composure and stay cute so I didnt chow it down like an animal in front of the girls, but God it was SO good. Im also vegetarian so I was also concerned about options at first but there were so many! The mushroom pizza was my fave. This restaurant has become a favourite after that day and I will be returning every chance I get!

Need reservations for assured seating. Reservation app sends too many reminders. Repeatedly warns that if late by more than 15 minutes, the reservation will be canceled and theres a no show charge. Alright, alright, alright! Food was ok, except two of the items I wanted were not available from a very short list of entrées. The service was good and made up for the other disappointments.

Thank you guys for making our anniversary night one to remember. If you re dining as a couple I strongly recommend going with the 3 course meal which includes an appetizer, pasta and dessert ($48/pp). This way you can share with each other and effectively get to try 6 different menu items. The food was fresh and made perfectly. The whipped ricotta on focaccia, egg yolk ravioli and the Nutella tiramisu were our favourites. To top off the great food, the service from everyone was extraordinary. They really pay attention to the fine details here, we are beyond impressed. Cant wait to come back!

I made a reservation for two and arrived on time, excited for a nice dinner. We ordered an appetizer and drinks, followed by a pizza and pasta. The food was good, but the service was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a restaurant. Midway through our meal, a staff member came to our table, asking if we wanted our food packed up when we still had more than half of the pizza and pasta left. They never once checked if we needed anything else. An hour and a half into our meal, our waiter informed us we had to leave in 30 minutes because they had another reservation for our table. This was a complete surprise as no one mentioned a 2-hour limit when I made the reservation. Another server kept hovering around, repeatedly asking to take our food away, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. My friend was still enjoying her drink but had to finish it quickly due to the rush. We were forced to pay and leave, making way for the next guests. This was incredibly rude and unprofessional, especially since other customers, who had been there longer than us, were not being rushed out. This experience left a sour taste in our mouths, not from the food, but from the unpleasant and inhospitable service. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Loved this place! The burrata and prosciutto crudo were amazing, and the ravioli with egg yolk was exceptional. We celebrated Mothers Day here, and the welcoming staff added to the festive atmosphere. Well definitely be back!

I cant believe I have lived in the area for years and never tried this place. The service is always incredible, and the ambiance is fantastic. However, the food is the true star. The pizzas are amazing, I literally dream about the mushroom pizza they have. Their garlic dip rivals the one at piza pizza (if you know, you know). I honestly cant say enough great things about this place. I highly recommend trying Piano Piano!!

I just want to be fair. The service that we received was acceptable. People were friendly and welcoming and we did not have any problems. But then the food was super salty and seemed not fresh at all. It was our anniversary and given the good reviews, we had a lot of expectations, which, unfortunately, was not met at all. My husband ordered Veal Parmesan. It came almost raw with a tiny veneer of ham and parmesan, and it was not tasty at all. The chicken Cacciatore was smelly, super raw and too creamy. Our Wedge Salad was nothing but a half-cut ice lettuce soaked in oily sauce and with super salty toppings. We had a lot of difficulty to chop and eat that lettuce. Overall, dining in in the MP branch ruined our anniversary eating part, and we will never come back.

Was very pleasantly surprised by this place. I know that the food order was placed ahead of time, however the food was hot and fresh and the flavors were bang on. Great Apps, Great Entrees and Great Pizza. Looking forward to eating from here again. Parking: Green P Parking Garage on West Side of Street looking North. Also, parking meters are available on the same side as the restraunt.

Very clean, beautiful ambience, and accommodating staff. Went for a friends birthday and had the family-style platters/dishes. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. The staff made sure to check in on us often, refilling our wine and water often. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made the experience memorable!

The pizzas, with its light and airy dough, such as the Honey Hornet and Cacio e Carne, were both delicious. The clams were a delightful surprise, and the egg yolk ravioli showcased perfection in pasta preparation. Altogether, Piano Piano provided a top-notch dining experience, and were eagerly anticipating our next visit.

Yummy! What a great place to have a nice meal. I really loved some options, some were a miss. For example, the tiramisu and fish and brussel sprouts were delicious. However, the burrata, carbonara (daily special) and pizza (we had one with hot honey) were alright but left more to be desired. The pastas had a small portion and the carbonara specifically was really runny and not a good dish, unfortunately. The burrata was alright but was not as smooth as we expected. Otherwise, the atmosphere was beautiful! Furthermore, we found that it took the waitress a long time to get to the table to take our orders (drinks, food and dessert) and we were sitting there waiting throughout the evening.

We had a great memorable dining experience here at Piano Piano Restaurant for a friend birthday. The delicious dishes were prepared and well presented. Our servers that day: Arielle, Josh and Christian were very friendly, organized, observed and attentive to our needs. The restaurant s atmosphere with food passionate friendly team allowed us to relax and unwind so we can enjoy ourselves. I strongly recommend Piano Piano Restaurant!

Great atmosphere, good service. But food is honestly mediocre if not, worst. The pizzas are good but the eggplant fritti was meh. There are time limits on the tables so you don t really get to be piano piano since things feel a bit rushed.

Wasnt a fan of the food

We went to the Eglinton location with my friends, we asked for 2 entrees; calamari, that was tasteless and extra oily, the other entree was croquettes and were plain as well, no flavour at all. We had 3 different pizzas, they were ok but nothing special. The service tho was really good, the server was friendly and fast. The place was nice and the vibes were romantic. I would go back for drinks and maybe a dessert but not for dinner

Decent food, not the best Italian but overall good. Service is my main issue in with this Piano Piano location. I ve been a couple times due to convince but every time the service is bad. Food took about 45 mins to come out after we order on a Monday which wasn t particularly busy. When the food did come they brought out 3/4 meals and then waited 5 mins to bring out the last meal, no apologies for the delay. Took another 20 mins to get the bill. Just a lack of attentiveness at every part of the meal. Overall disappointed with the service that ruined an overall average meal.

I went here for the first time for date night and our experience was amazing from start to finish. The hostess was lovely and our server, Ariel, greeted us promptly and was very kind and knowledgeable. She was very prompt with our drink order and we never had to sit with an empty drink. The food came quickly and was delicious from appetizers to desserts. Coming for the service industry myself I would highly recommend this restaurant and if you want a full dining experience I would definitely ask for Ariel!

I was very disappointed with ravioli. It was probably the worst ravioli I ate. When I asked for something else, they said they cant replace it with anything else, but they offered to make new ravioli. The new one wasnt any better :(((

Food was not bad, I think I appreciated the decor more than the cuisine. Very beautiful space! I specifically enjoyed the appetizer with roasted grapes which was more unique.

Really quite disappointed with the food, the sides were ok but I had the sea bass as a main and it was extremely underwhelming for the price they are asking for a frozen filet and the way they prepared it was vey amateur

Lovely decor, friendly staff and greeter, delicious food. Comfort seat benches and a vault dining area in the back. The house puts on a show when celebrating a special event. Definitely visiting again

Weve been here before and they have accommodated us once when the reservation was messed up on a mothers day too. I feel its like all restaurants they feel the pinch of the inflation and have to compensate to survive even with that it was an enjoyable evening once again. Vegetarian options: Not too many but they make do and would modify their dishes to serve the customers. Parking: Depends when you go Sunday evening will give you a pick of street parking spots on Manor or any of the nearby side streets. Kid-friendliness: They can accommodate babies with high chair and there is a kids menu. Its not over the top kid friendly like Chucky Cheese or anything but if you plan accordingly and you know what your kids need then it will be time well spent. Wheelchair accessibility: This is in ground level as it gets not even door stops sticks out. So it is very friendly. However in the winter they have an extra cubby outside of the main door to act as a barrier again the cold it is not automatic door but it is made of rubber and I dont recall push button to open the main door. So thats a drawback but people working at the door are more than willing to assist anyone in need.

Husband and I went for a date dinner. Service was very good, attentive and friendly. Food was varied. My eggplant was delicious. My husband had veal - it was OK. Taste of the sauce was good but the texture not so great. Seating is very narrow and close to other tables. Very close. Overall we enjoyed our evening.

Im often harsh on most upscale italian restaurant chains in the city, but I must say this one is unlike all the others! Ive dined at most Piano Piano locations, most recently Mount Pleasant for my moms birthday. We enjoyed every dish that was ordered, ranging from the Burrata Con Funghi and Croquettes alla Vodka as our starters, to the The Hot Rod Pizza and Egg Yolk Ravioli for our mains. All were delicious but the Croquettes rised above the others, a definite must-try. Portion sizes were brilliant and offered not much room for dessert ;) Atmosphere was lively and the service was good for a chain restaurant. Overall must-try!

We ordered three pizzas take out. The advertised pick up time was 60 minutes. They were only ready after 80 minutes. Be mindful.

The food was OK. The dining room was too noisy. They should do something about the noise. Use some soundproofing system. We couldnt hear the waiter or even each other.

Food is alright, similar to Oretta. We had the Mushroom gnocchi, sweet hornet pizza and a Caesar salad which I enjoyed - I liked the freshness of the lettuce and the large bacon pieces. Service was super nice.

This place did mot live up to my expectations or to its reputation for that matter! The staff seem to have an attitude and arent happy when you go in. The paper menus are torn and dirty, the table was broken too! The food on the other hand is above average. It seems as if the owners dont care about the experience of their guests.

Was really looking forward to trying Piano Piano s lunch menu. But this has to be one of the worst customer service and management I have ever experienced. My friend and I went in around the time for their lunch menu and we assumed at-least, when our order was being taken that we would be asked if we wanted the lunch menu. I ordered something and it was after I had finished that she asked if I wanted the lunch menu and I told her I assumed it was the lunch menu they were serving since that s on the menu we were given. She said no, manager made us pay full price for that. It s just courtesy to explain the menu especially if you have specials and most people are seated for the specials advertised. The server also seemed bored or uninterested with an attitude from the moment we walked in.

I went there during the week for lunch and it was amazing! One of the best pastas Ive ever had. The meatballs wasnt really the best but the pasta and the sauce was amazing. Also one thing to consider, if its just the pasta you probably wont get full

What a delight! Im not sure which was better, the service or the food. Lunch time $35 pre-fixe is a perfect way to try their salads, pizzas, and pastas. The pizza crust is from sour dough, and is delicious. The funghi pizza was the best thing on our lunch table. The egg yolk ravioli was also a hit, with a creamy ricotta spinach filling. Two were plenty for a hungry individual. Tiramisu dessert was kid friendly. Fish dish was a variation of a puttanesca and cooked to perfection, with crispy pieces on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. Wine is pricey.

I sat at the front looking out the window for a glass of wine. One of the people working there kept making comments behind my back when I didn t say thank you and then she even referred to me as a ball of fluff on the ground. Very disappointed in this place. Highly don t recommend very rude staff.

One of the best customer service experiences I have had. The customer service was top notch!!! Super friendly and very accommodating. The food was amazing and the vibe was great. The staff were so sweet as we were celebrating an occasion, they really made it memorable!!

My wife and I came here for lunch and we really liked the restaurant and the food. We got their lunch special which was 3 courses for $34 per person. Great value and fantastic food. Our server was very friendly, too.

Perfect date night spot

This place is mediocre at best. 15.00 table fee and a 45 dollar per person cancelation fee if you dont show or run more then 15 minutes late. So if I had a death in the family and couldnt show I would be charged? Joke. The Place wasnt even that busy. Ordered bread which was not on the house btw and it was stale covered in butter. Not alot of menu choices. Small portions for pasta dishes. Dont see why people rave about the place. Mediocre.

If I could give Piano Piano 10 stars, I would! The food is incredible delicious! The service is always amazing and the place is gorgeous. This is one of my fav Italian restaurant in Toronto, hands down!

Located in a busy area, we were surprised that we got a table immediately for dinner. We got an app, a pizza and a pasta. Would like to metion that the portion sizes look small but it was quite filling for us. The ambience was cozy and pleasant. The only point of critique is that the seats are too close to each other and the service was a bit slow.

Overall a really great date night with my wife. Our hostess was not exactly charming or friendly but our waiter was exceptional. The food, as always, top notch.

Went for dinner and ordered the Spinach Ravioli and Prosciutto Pizza. The Ravioli was the best I ve had so far and the pizza was good as well. The service could be better but overall nothing extremely negative. Food : 5/5

Do not book your private event here! We reached out months ago to book the private dining room for our small wedding lunch in September, and were told the following verbatim: Unfortunately we do not take reservations for more than a month in advance, however, if you reach out to me at the end of August I will be able to book you in right away! When we reached out exactly one month before the wedding date, we were told the restaurant had been booked for a private event, and was not available. It should have been communicated in the first place that there was a chance someone could book out the restaurant and it would be unavailable. In that case, we would have looked for back up options. This was never mentioned, and saying contact me at the end of August and I will book you in right away was very misleading. We are now a month away from our wedding with few options that will accommodate our family member in a wheelchair. Do better! Especially when it comes to people s wedding days.

You can clearly tell when a restaurant owner is no longer in the building nor showing any interest in the patrons. Visited Piano Piano in Mt Pleasant for the 3rd time this summer and this was our last. Sadly, we used to like many things about it, but this is an establishment that is trading on past reputation and not on quality. Ok, the service was brutal. We sat outside and it took a full 20 minutes to get a drink (other than water). Zero attention to which tables arrived first or in any order. Starters - The wedge salad was good. But the calamari our guests had and the burrata salad average. Calamari had almost no calamari. Then the main course arrived only 2 dishes at a time so two of us waited a full 10 minutes before the other 2 meals arrived and then they realized there was no cutlery. Another 2 minutes. Pasta was just very average. Still, we tried to stay positive because we were relying on past experience. But that was short lived with the Carrot cake, which was not even close to the description on the dessert card and certainly not Carrot cake like any normal person would expect or ever have thought of .., sorry, where were the Carrots in the carrot cake ??? We eat out quite a bit and this was Pretend Italian at best. Advice - for real Italian food just drive up to Woodbridge Alta Rosa, L Antipasto, Osteria Gente all in a different league. Sorry Piano Piano, we tried, but it was weak.

Arrived here at 7:58pm for our 8pm 4-person reservation on Friday September 1st, 2033. We were seated on the patio quickly and brought waters right away. But no menus. It was almost ten minutes before a server stopped by and realized we didnt have menus. At this point wed been looking at the menus on our phones but they werent ready to take any orders. A table of two nearby that sat down shortly after us were enjoying drinks at this point. By 8:20pm wed had enough of waiting and being ignored. No one had returned to speak to us again or take any orders. The four of us got up and walked out without a single staff member taking notice. Will not be returning.

We really enjoyed their piano piano lunch special menu! The portions were DELICIOUS and FULFILLING. I really enjoyed their app - prosciutto crudo. Their pasta and pizza options were good, we all shared our mains. Dessert we had the tiramisu. I wasn t able to eat it because I was full, but my friends said they had some great bites. Atmosphere was really nice we got situated in the little couch area and the staffs were pleasant!

This place was amazing! My boyfriend & I went for a date & the music & the vibe were great! The waiter was amazing but I forgot his name but he was super friendly & was amazing with communicating & knew the menu very well. The truffle pasta was amazinggggggggggg will definitely go back just for that! Tasted just as good the next day!

My only complaint is we couldn t eat as much as we wanted go with a big group and be ready to come home bellies full and hearts fuller!

Wow what a disappointment. I have renamed this resto as Salty Salty. I have NEVER dined in TO and been served such salted food ever. Ordered the calamari and I thought i hadd emptied a salt shaker in my mouth. It was awful. Had to drink a full glass of water to cleanse the overwhelming salty taste. Then ordered a veggie pizza with which I had the same problem. If you asked me what were the toppings on the pizza I would say salt. They gave us a scissors to cut the pizza as it came whole. This was also awkward and messy to do so we just requested a knife to cut it far more easily. As someone who dines out frequently I feel that whenever restos serve their dishes with an extreme excess of salt they are shunning their culinary duties of serving deliciously flavored dishes. My experience is that, sadly, they do not know what they are doing.

Finally checked Piano Piano off of my list of restaurants I had been wanting to check out. My friend and I made an early dinner reservation, to beat the rush. The food and the service we got was amazing. Our waiter, Clint (the Mount Pleasant location) was exceptional and gave good recommendations. Overall, we were both happy with the whole experience. Well definitely go back again!

Piano Piano offers an exceptional dining experience, serving some of the finest Italian cuisine Ive ever had in Toronto. The mixed olives were a delightful start, warmed olives deserve more love and exposure in general. The Insalata with Bibb lettuce was light and airy, and the grana Padano added a perfect finishing touch, wonderfully dressed. The Chicken Piccatta was cooked to perfection; the succulent chicken and creamy wine/butter sauce were a highlight, arugula was chefs kiss. The portion size was generous, and the crispy potatoes were heavenly - perfectly crisp, with some deliciously crunchy skin bits. The cheese garnish and sauce at the bottom was a delight as well. Lastly, the cavatelli was light and creamy, and the truffle oil added a fantastic aroma. The drinks were fantastic; dont miss the piano piano cocktail and amaretto sour. This place certainly deserves a higher rating. The service was amazing and quick, with a special shout-out to the young hostess/server who took care of us. She brought me soft serve with a sparkler knowing it was my birthday and I was too full to order/eat dessert. Piano Piano exceeded our expectations in every way. We will be back with friends and family.

Food is good!! Service not so much. Sat for over half an hour waiting for the waiter to clear our table and bring dessert. Which never happened. When we asked for leftovers to be packed along with the dessert they failed to do either! Left disappointed.

Been to the other Piano Piano locations and this is another gem, I feel I like this more than the others, it s smaller and cozier in a way. The service was great (as expected), we went in a group, had great food and drinks, I had their Fun Guy pizza which was delicious and would definitely have again. Their bruschetta was very good too. There s plenty of street parking around, otherwise a few GreenP lots closeby too. Can t wait to go there again!

We got the lunch special here. All the appetizers and mains we got were great. They have a browned butter pizza which was out of this world. More sweet than savoury and it s a must try. Nice ambience. However their desserts were extremely disappointing and that s why I only gave 4 stars. You have a choice between ice cream or Nutella tiramisu. The ice cream was soft serve in a bowl with no presentation. McDonald s soft serve is more enjoyable. The Nutella tiramisu was essentially just Nutella in a bowl. Very heavy and who wants to eat a straight up bowl of Nutella for dessert??

Food was pretty decent, and server was good. Only issue was someone cleaning the table behind us, who sprayed the cleaner directly in the air behind our backs. We had some elderly people in our group who have breathing issues who began coughing because they inhaled the chemicals sprayed in the air. Frankly unacceptable

My partner and I came for a date. The restaurant was half empty at 5pm on a Sunday, we had a table reservation. We waited a long time for service that never came. When asked why they didn t approach us, we received rudeness and lack of respect. Food

Had a nice dinner here with friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. The calamari had a couple of zucchini flowers in it, not sure why. Service was okay however we had 3 different people serving us so it wasn t consistent. They took our plates away rather quickly so we felt rushed. Pizza was good as was the pasta. The buratta salad was on the small side. I prefer the Colborne street location but this was a nice place for the neighborhood.

Food, Service and Atmosphere were impeccable! I mistakenly ordered an entrees with an ingredient that I cannot eat(my mistake, it was clearly listed on the menu), and the manager generously offered an alternative dish free of charge. I will 100% be back. Food was amazing and service was next level

We were looking for a place to eat and decided to try Piano Piano. We came early at around 6.30pm and it wasnt crowded at all. We had the pizza, it was alright- a little bit too salty for me.

Not even worth the hype. The food was bland.. Paid $16 for a mocktail when my friend paid $16 for 2 glasses of 9 ounces wine. My pasta was raw. Not el Dante. Ricotta was just not it! Disappointed..

Food was amazing, the whipped ricotta is a must try item, the balance between mild sweetness, salty and spicy was perfect. Pizza was good, honestly nothing too crazy but it was no doubt a solid safe choice. The rigatoni meatballs was great and although it doesnt look like a ton i assure you that itll stuff you quite quickly. The potatoes caccio e pepe was great! Very rich food so prep your stomach for it haha. Service was just ok. It wasnt good but it wasnt horrible, no presence of a hostess at the front and the waiters kept rotating to different ones so they didnt keep each other in the loop for our meal, despite trying their best

Its a good place, but works the best for couples, maybe 4 people at a table. I was there with a work group taking 2 tables of 6. We arrived on time, but waited quite a long time (ab. 40 mins) to get first food. Menu was fixed, good selections of shared dishes, all well prepared. I liked ribeye, sweet hornet pizza, and canestri alla vodka. There were some wrinkles. Bread was good, but provided in the middle of our dinner, pretty much together with pasta. Ribeye and plate on our table was perfect, but the one on other table was a bit on tougher side. Desserts were good, inventive, but hard to share. The room was warm (outside -2 Celsius) and not too noisy. Good amount of space, not cramped. The place also have a spectacular private room that many of guests took a picture of.

Really great Italian restaurant, servers were great and helpful, food came really fast and was very tasty. Atmosphere was nice, several birthdays going on, so lots of celebration cakes. Nice atmosphere but the food wasn t anything special iv had better pizza and pasta at factory girl on danforth ! Definitely over hyped and over priced maybe I had high expectations don t think I would return
