Amazing meal, great intimate setting, albeit a bit cramped - part of the charm. Lobster and crab gnocchi was incredible.

Ive eaten here many times, always for lunch, and the food is ALWAYS excellent. Likely the best carpaccio in the entire city. Because the food is so good, and the venue is small, the atmosphere is always crowded and loud.

Do NOT go here unless you want to wait to be served. The service was VERY disappointing. Tonight, I waited 10min before being seated even when I had a reservation. We waited 10min before getting the menu, another 10min to get the wine menu, and another 15min before being able to place our food order. Waiting 35 MIN before placing an order is absolutely unreasonable. We left and have dinner elsewhere.

Honestly one of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto in my opinion! Food is amazing! Service is good but sometimes the servers are a bit casual for an upscale restaurant. Also we went in the summer and there wasn t AC (or maybe there was but it was still very hot inside) so just keep that in mind when deciding what to wear!

I recently dined at Quanta Basta and enjoyed their Spaghetti Mare Mare. The dish featured well-cooked spaghetti with a satisfying bite, and the shrimp were nicely tender. The calamari, though slightly chewy, was still fresh and flavorful. The experience was pleasant, with a comfortable ambiance and attentive service.

At Quanto Basta, I sat to dine, Ordered frog legs, a taste so fine. The menu promised a dish so rare, But little did I know, deception was there. The plate arrived with flair and show, But something was off, my instincts said so. One bite revealed the truth and shame, This wasn t frog, just chicken so plain. Deceived and dismayed, I won t return, For trust in a place is something you earn. Quanto Basta, where the truth does jog, Serving me chicken, disguised as frog.

With the exception of the pizza, the food did not live up to the descriptions. The items were neither well prepare nor exciting. Almost everything was ho-hum; nothing said order me again!! Very disappointed as we were hoping this would become one of our go-to favourites!!!

Customer service: 10/10, atmosphere 8.5/10 (it can get quite loud as the room is narrow and long), but food unfortunately for me was a 6/10. For the price, I expected the dishes to have more flavour.

The place is cozy and love the lighting is not too bright, perfect for a romantic dinner. Food is delicious and fresh. Their tiramisu tastes like heaven, one of the best I ve ever tried. Service couldn t be better, the waiter was very kind and attentive to details.

Went for lunch a couple of days ago and from the first moment walking in, the simple but in good taste interior, cozy atmosphere, good service and the wonderful food made this a great experience. The portions were very respectable and the pricing was fair. All in all a very enjoyable lunch. Highly recommended. Will definitely visit again.

A staff member called me and asked to change my star review. I would say that the reviews of this restaurant may not be accurate because they work hard to get rid of low star reviews. ** Making a reservation may not guarantee your table. Our table was given away so we sat at the bar but still had pressure to leave after a quick dinner. The treatment of customers is very inconsistent and often poor depending on the level of experience of staff.Wish they worked as hard on improving service and food quality.

Packed with a great vibe on a Saturday night. Seated at the bar. Our Bartender, Courtney, was absolutely fantastic. Service was top notch. The food was out of this world from beginning to end. Wagyu carpaccio - absolutely delicious! Aranchini with sauce to die for. Veal was perfect - tender. IL Salvatore pasta melted in your mouth. Cocktails by Courtney were delicious and very creative. And the Tiramisu - wow. We had a great night and cant wait to go back!!!

Quanto Basta came highly recommended, and did not disappoint. Upon arriving, everyone is pleasant and welcoming which was lovely. Our server Una was wonderful and thorough. I had the Octopus plate, which comes with a fresh purple potato salad and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Good food decent service although very very loud environment. Don t expect to have a conversation unless you re two people ;we arrived late due to Yonge Street being shut down had called and we re shooed out of the place by the two hour mark as there was another reservation. I asked about dessert and basically was giving the check .I understand reservations, but two hours in a nicer restaurant with 5 people is tight even had we arrived on time. Given that this is not a cheap quick grab and go meal, I found this behaviour offensive would not return.

We rushed-dropped-in for dessert and a beer. It was about to rain on their patio so they gladly rushed our order we drank and ate quickly before the rain came. Wonderful flourless dark chocolate cake, very rich.

This is a regular place for families and groups of friends to have Italian food. The staff is cheerful and friendly. The food is excellent. My favourite appetizer is the salad with warm mushrooms. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is all on one level and there is a patio in front, but it is narrow inside.

Ive had enough of this restaurant. Ive tried it a few times, bringing guests from out of town. The food is solid, pedestrian at best, but solid. The service is still irritating. They are so aggressive in how they hustle you at every step of the way, that it becomes uncomfortable. Theyre desperately trying to gouge people financially. They cap you at 2 hours, but all the while hustle you to order more drinks, and more expensive bottles of wine and food which takes forever to arrive and then as theyre pouring your glass, they uncomfortably tell you, the next guests are already in line waiting for your table. Its comical because the restaurant is half empty. Quite frankly, Im fed up and embarrassed and tired of the hustle. Youre supposed to go out and enjoy a meal. Sometimes it takes an hour, sometimes, if youre guests from out of town that are ordering very expensive bottles of wine and lots of food it takes longer. Dont hustle people to over order --- you know what, your loyal guests wont come back. Theres a thousand restaurants in Toronto. Ill go elsewhere happily.

Food is incredible really liked it everything except for the pulpo. Burrata was amazing as was fungi salad. Flourless chocolate cake was just OK - I believe it should ve been warmed up. Pulpo was alright, but the cold potatoes were not good beside it. The lamb shank pasta was pretty delicious as well. The service was excellent except a tad slow. And the joint is super noisy!!!!! Overall, it was excellent -I m just being quite detailed And picky here.

Came here with my uncle for lunch; was very impressed with the service and especially the food. Everything we had was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff was very friendly and timely. Would highly recommend this place to family and friends. Great spot for a night out.

Horrible service. In this economy, do not waste your hard earned money. It was pretty empty and yet I had to wait a long time to be seated. When I was finally seated, I was never offered water but the other table was. Had to go up to ask for water and again to ask to put in my order. I would have ordered more, but decided not to bother wasting any more of my time or money. Horrible service. Do not waste your money here. In this economy, it is better to go somewhere where they actually value you as a customer and your dollar.

Excellent service and food in what was a full capacity holiday lunch crowd; impressive. The place did get a bit noisy but not undully based on the number of patrons and the holiday spirit mood. A definite return-to restaurant.

Great atmosphere and vibe. Its small cozy restaurant and always really busy so its best to make Reservations. Lots of great options and variety of the menu with daily specials. I loved the pizzas really good things crust with a generous amount of cheese and toppings. The salads are really tasty too but little pricey. The service could of been better. Our server was too busy serving other tables and doing takeout orders that I had too keep asking for refill on water. They need to have more servers on busy nights. The tables also should of been more spaced out they were super closed together and not much space

The food was awful. We ordered the seafood pasta and the gnocchi. As a person that has been to so many italian restaurants, this is not worth the money. The service was awful and late , we waited for cutlery and for water, the server didn t even bother with paying attention to our table and waited 45min+ for our main. The bread was old bread probably from last night. The gnocchi - i put parmigiano cheese and still the pasta had no salt , we liked the grilled calamari and thats all. Overpriced and awful set up. Im disappointed . I would recommend ppl to spend their money in another italian restaurant

We sat at the bar, the bar tender was very attentive and made great recommendations. I ordered the branzino, it was absolutely delicious. We started with the artichoke hearts which were also tasty.

If you want to see true Rosedale matrons in the pilates toned flesh after hours, this is the perfect place. More expensive than probably warranted, but ok. Same for cocktails and wine.

Quanto Basta Is a energetic atmosphere let alone having my taste buds tantalized with all the dishes coming out of the kitchen! Their menu is complete for ones enjoyment and satisfaction. through my selective pallet as a chef, it was hard to select what I wanted as everything look delicious. Stopping in for lunch gave us the opportunity to try several items, the one that stood out the most to me was there delicious hamburger for my lunch. Having that said, I would rate their hamburger to be one of the best in Toronto. I m looking forward to exploring Quanto Basta s menu again and sharing it with you all, as I highly recommend dining here. Ask for Julia the owner and tell her I sent you! Wow. Floored. Ordered here on Feb 6 and they made accommodations very happily - the pasta mare mare was delightful and spectacular. The pizza Don Julia was stunning - the kale was light and crispy and the crust was delectably chewy. The rapini (generally bitter when my mother makes it) was delicious and the branzino skin was crisp, the flesh was tender and flavourful. Top marks. Thank you Julia.

Our first patio dinner after the worlds longest lockdown could not have been more perfect: we were greeted warmly by owner Julia, seated immediately (even though we very cheekily arrived without a reservation - lucky us!), served exquisitely by manager Erica, and ate and drank like kings. This must have been the busiest night in Toronto, but the mood was relaxed and the service swift. The food was sensational, as always, and the new cocktail list is summer in a glass. QB is going to be the hottest patio of the summer. Dont walk, run!

We had heard great things about this place so we went one evening. Sat outside at the sidewalk tables. The ciccetti all looked so great that we ordered 4 to share. Polpete, mussels, grilled octopus and the crab cakes. All were delicious. Add a great bottle of wine and it was a perfect evening. Service was excellent- we will definitely be coming back!

Disappointing! We found a strand of hair in our pasta. Food was just okay. Service was not attentive. No one came by to ask how our food was. Had to ask for more water. At the end, the worst part was we asked to split the bill and our server could not do the math and charged me 60% of the bill. She blamed their payment device which we know was an excuse as one punches in the amount. She admitted afterwards that she thought our total bill was higher hence the mistake. Will not go back.

Terrible experience - got very sick from the food. So salty. Waitress was so stressful and refused to write anything down and had to repeat the orders 6 times to get it right by memory. She made you feel uncomfortable asking for things.

All I can say is WOW! We went to lunch yesterday with a couple of friends and everybody loved their meal. I ordered the Verdon which is spinach rigatoni with Italian sausage. It is a day later and I can stop thinking about how good that dish was. Just when I though it couldnt get any better I ordered the tiramisu.......OMG! It was the best tiramisu I have had in my 45 years of life. They make the dessert fresh there and you can really taste the difference. What a great experience we had

Tasty Italian dishes and espresso martini. Had the agnolotti filled with mascarpone & artichokes and burrata and huge portion of tiramisu. Overall good food and service with a patio as well.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto! My boyfriend and I have been here twice in the last two months and both times we loved it. The food was tasty, great service, big portion size, and its got a great atmosphere. Definitely would recommend!

This place is pretty fancy! I had the lamb and a sip of wine and it was one of the best meals I ve had in ages! Service was great and they even had a dj doing music for the place. Only complaint was that the place was pretty crowded and tables very close together also $$$$.

A decent spot for a casual but finer dine-in. The layout is quite narrow and congested, so it does get quite loud. If you re looking for an intimate conversation, this is not the spot for that. The food quality is great yet pricey for the portion size. The service is also a tad slow (some bread would have let me forget the wait!) yet I found the entrees cold when they reached the table.

Ordered Father s Day dinner. Great experience!! Chef and staff hit it out if the park! Delivered exactly on time! The grilled peach, burrata and prosciutto salad was amazing. All entrees were hot. Two filet mignon -perfect pink each with a generous piece of foie gras, the fish was tender with shaved truffle. The Lobster and crab gnocchi came with a lobster tail that was steamed to Perfection!! Amazing to have the restaurant experience in the comfort of our home. Order from Quanto Basta you will not be disappointed.

Best sirloin burger and caesar I ever had. The brilliant server Julia knew exactly how to be a true professional. I went again for dinner two days later after my lunch and loved it again Ill be back.

The owner was so nice. We ordered papardalle and pasta with rapini and spicy sausage. Both dishes were excellent and the caesar with pork belly and polenta was epic. They had a free pizza deal which was the cherry on top. Highly recommend. Good was so good we couldnt get pics we ate so quickly.

We chose this restaurant based on the great reviews for the mushroom ravioli. We both ordered it and thought it was really quite bland. Really could have benefited from some more robust flavours in the dish, or at least some cheese on top. We also had some very basic arancini to start with. Overall a bit disappointed based on the great reviews.
