We were at Slate for an early dinner. Prima Vera pizza and spaghetti bolognese were both excellent. Great atmosphere and service. We ll be back soon, Mark and Kathy Ireland Food

We went to The Slate to celebrate Mothers Day, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. I ordered a $40+ sirloin steak, and it was honestly the worst steak Ive ever had. It was incredibly dry, tough, and burned around the edges I felt like I was chewing on shoe leather. It tasted like the cheapest cut of meat, overcooked to the point of being inedible. My husband ordered some kind of ravioli, and it was a disaster as well. It was so over-seasoned and drowned in salty cheese that he couldn t even finish it. We definitely won t be going back.

The butcher is pretty epic

Seven of us went there last night, during the busy Queen Street Jazz Festival. All the meals were good except the prosciutto salad, which was excessively salty. Bethanys service was exceptional, even though she said it was her second night serving! All in all, it was a good experience! Dietary restrictions: Ordered dairy-free and gluten-free... no problem.

Overall really good. The pastas are really fresh with thick flavorful, rich sauces. I enjoyed the Linguine Asiago Di Pollo, minus the chicken. I found the chicken to be a low quality shredded from a whole chicken or thighs and it was quite dry. I wouldve preferred a breast cut up or nothing at all. The sauce and pasta were perfect, but the chicken lessened the quality.

Honestly, such a cute place. We ve lived in the area for a while now and never really noticed this gem. Went to Slate for the first time tonight with my husband and our two young daughters. The girls loved their food - asked for more spaghetti! Our app and mains were fantastic - the ravioli was unreal. Drinks were great! Overall ambience was lovely. Looking forward to coming back to this place :)

We had dinner here for a birthday. I was disappointed to discover they don t do anything for birthdays anymore. We agreed the food wasn t great. The pizza was more like a flatbread. I do not recommend it. The server was nice and the restaurant has a good atmosphere.

It was amazing just one of plates was dirty

We had visited on a Wednesday for lunch. It was pretty empty. We ordered a couple of beers and while we were deciding on the menu, we noticed that there was a fruit fly in one of the glasses. When we pointed this out to our waitress, she mentioned that she had saw that and noticed it but never said that to us or offered to change the drink for us until it was pointed out. The food was ridiculously priced for the portion size and quality of the food. Also, at one point, while we were finishing up eating our food, I noticed that the waitress was picking something of her lips or teeth and didn t wash her hands after. Not worth going here at all

The food is decent but 20 dollars for a salad is comedy. And if I m paying 15-20 dollars for four bruschettas (once again comedy) I d at least expect them to not be soggy. Y all think your restaurant s in Yorkville or what?

We arrived late after a different restaurant unexpectedly cancelled all reservations and closed early. They didnt have the full menu available, just the pasta and pizza. I dont usually order pasta or pizza, but we were hungry and decided to stay and order pasta anyway. I am sooo glad we did. It was absolutely delicious! We both cleaned our plates. The service was also fantastic. The huge pictures of people on the wall was a little weird, but otherwise the atmosphere is good. Going forward this will be one of our first choices for date night instead of a backup plan. Update: The wall is now covered in lovely flowers, which is a big improvement on the atmosphere. Everything else is still excellent, and we will keep coming back!

We visited this restaurant before and the food was amazing, but tonight it missed the mark. Hopefully things improve by our next visit if there is a next visit. It is unfortunate, as the ambiance was lovely and our service was good.

I may try again but we didnt have the best experience. My girlfriend and I met up before New Years and when we arrived there were about 3 other tables. We had looked up 1/2 price wine special which was advertised online and their menu but were told they werent starting that until after the new year. Server was very friendly but it took a while to get our drinks and a long time to get our food. We ordered the bolognese pasta and my friend had the chicken parmesan. When the food did come, my gf had to send hers back it was extremely salty (I tried and agreed), mine, the bolognese, had sat for a while so it was a bit dry although it had really good flavour. The manager offered to replace my friends meal but I had already finished mine by the time she got there and agreed to go elsewhere. I could see how it could be good, maybe it was just an off night..

I have been to this place a couple times, always great drinks & food. The apps are always my favourite, particularly the rice balls! Me and my husband recently had dinner here and he ordered the steak, medium and it was pretty bloody & rare. Service was amazing!

It was a great experience. The Margherita Pizza was great and the Classic Italian Burger was to die for. We were happy to find they have a kids menu and will definintely be back. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu was a good find. Few restaurants of this nature have one.

Best pasta I ve ever had. Best burger I ve ever had. Just stumbled across this place and it was incredible. Must try place.

SLOOOOOOOW, service. Took over 30 minutes to get a slice of cake. ALL the food was over salted and just meh. Gnocchi tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. After waiting SOOOO long for food, then dessert and then the bill... It was like 2 hours and it was only 2 people. WAY over priced for the quality and quantity. I cannot recommend this place.

Wife and I visited this place for the 1st time. Ordered the Lime Tuna and it was amazing. Service was amazing, place is clean and tidy. Highly recommend.out waitress Elena took good care of us. Love this place, will return.

Had a great experience there! The food was amazing, the service was absolutely perfect and it was a nice atmosphere. I had the Italian burger and parmesan fries, and the dessert was terrific! The only downside, was I found it to be a little pricey.

I hate to kick a restaurant when it s down. This one seems like it is struggling but we were so misled by the reviews that I felt I had to write one. The pluses are that they have outdoor seating that allows dogs. Our server was very nice but seemed inexperienced. The pizza was blah and had oil dripping from it (but we are pizza snobs) and my carbonara was watery. Our neighbor did not eat her chicken and commented that it was very dry. They also charged us $2 for extra parm! (Hence why I think they are struggling) My advice to this restaurant is to minimize their menu to less items so they can focus on quality better. The interior has little personality too. Some updating wouldn t go amiss!

My last review 3 years ago was 5 Stars - regrettably our dinner last night was not as a positive. There were six of us and only one other table. Drinks, no water served until asked, took 1/2 hour to come. Dinner, including appetizers, which were served at the same time as dinner, took another 1 1/2 hours. There was no offer of dessert or even coffee. Very sad to say that is is unlikely that we will go back. The Beaches needs better restaurants and we were so positive that this one would be it.

Visited slate with my family on the weekend. From the moment we entered the hostess greeted us with a warm welcome and sat us on the upper patio. Lovely view! My server was extremely friendly and provided us with some great recommendations and she was so great with the kids. We ended up having the chicken Parm, Margherita pizza, pollo limone, spicy shrimp spaghetti and two kids pastas. They were delicious! For our drinks we tried the frozen peach Bellini, spicy Caesar, and two glasses of Pino. Eventhough the restaurant was extremely packed the food and drinks came out really fast. Coodos to the hard working chefs in the back for making such delicious food. This is our third time visiting and we will be back for sure. Slate is truly one of the best restaurants in the beaches! Definitely worth the price.

I was not impressed with the chicken Parmigiano it seemed to have been cooked way before and then warmed up as well as the spaghetti.(just warm) it didnt seem to have been cooked freshly at order time. My husband had the seared tuna and it was tasty but it was not pink as you see it in the picture on their Website. it was from frozen to cooking. Their price point would be right on point if it were not from frozen

Food was too salty

First time and the service, food and atmosphere did not disappoint!! Excellent all around and will definately be going back. Our waitress on Aug 5th around 230pm (sorry cant remebmber her name) was so helpful, funny and lovely. My cousins and I really enjoyed the hours we spent there. The chef brought out our desserts which were delicious. Pasta dishes were THE BEST!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing experience at SLATE yesterday. A large gathering of old university friends (and their kids) was organized at the restaurant, and my partner and I (the kids) decided to arrive early for a quick bite to eat before drinks with everyone. Our food and drinks were delicious (we split the truffle fries and primavera pizza, and my partner had the elderflower gin sour, and later we shared the cheese plates as well). But I really want to give a shout out to our hostess/server/bartender extrodinare Elena, who was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and thoughtful, asked about food allergies, and was sooo patient with our large group of 16-20 people, even though she was one of the only staff there that night, and she had other tables to serve! Thank you so much for hosting our little reunion and for all your kindness, patience and hospitality!! We will definitely come back here again! Vegetarian options: There were lots of yummy vegetarian options on the menu! Dietary restrictions: The server checked in with us about any allergies we might have before taking our order to the kitchen. Kid-friendliness: There was a table across the room with two children, as well as a table next two us with two children, so its definitely a family friendly environment will still being a more upscale restaurant.

Best pizza Ive ever had.

I went there this past weekend with my girlfriend, it was our second time there. The pasta my girlfriend had was amazing and my chicken parm was cooked to my liking. The drinks were very smooth and the waitress was pleasant. Overall a great spot. We will be back!

Poped in for a late dinner and was not disappointed. Our server Elena was excellent, friendly and attentive. The food was just as wonderful.

The people are nice but the food is average and overpriced.

My husband and I found Slate online. The menu and pricing looked great online. Made a reservation for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived the menu was not the same, the prices were WAY higher. The server told us they had change it 2 weeks before. Only one table filled in the place. We left. Update your google presence online so people know what they are getting.

Food was way too expensive for how mediocre it was. Service wasnt great, but the only waiter working was doing his best. Spend less almost anywhere else nearby and get better food.

Best food of our trip so far. Portion size was just right.

Got a beer and a cocktail with burchetta. Food did not have flavours that went together. Looked like they just put some tomatoes on a soggy bread and gave it to us. Beer selection was okay. Cocktail was okay. Alot of flies, need to invest in something to get rid of them.

Found this place while walking on Queen and gave it a try. Not a very busy night for a Friday at 8pm. Slowest service Ever! Waited 30 mins for drinks, another 30 to get orders taken. An hour later to get food. 3 hrs later finished! Food was So so, burger was dry, fish same. Doubt I would ever go back. Place nice but definitely not a good 1st impression.

This restaurant is SO good!! A few friends and I went before the Christmas break and we were HUNGRY after our theater rehearsal. It was our first time there and we were so surprised when our waitress told us that everything - every bit of food, was made fresh and in house. And it sure did taste like it! That was some of the best pizza, salad, French fries, and chocolate cake I ve ever had! I can t wait to go back !

I love it here :) it is by far my favorite restaurant in Toronto. The food is delicious and the drinks are so good. The vibe is great as well, and the staff are so friendly and kind, especially our server Christine (I hope I got her name right). Ive been to Slate several times now, and have had a few important celebrations here which have been wonderful experiences.

Slate is an amazing restaurant to go to in The Beaches, Toronto the staff is wonderful and always makes it a point to remember who you are, be kind to you, and build the kind of relationship with you that makes you excited to go back and catch up with one another again. In my time in Toronto, this quickly grew to be my favourite restaurant here. The food and drinks are AMAZING! They make everything in house and its always fresh, hot, and super delicious. They never skimp on flavour, the food is always cooked perfectly, and you simply cant find drinks this good anywhere else in a 2km radius. I highly recommend this place to anyone whether it be for a date night or a gathering with friends.

Great atmosphere. The music is a great mix of 80s, 90s, and early 2000s hits. The service and food were amazing. And the Moretti draught beer was new to me and delicious. My wife and I will definitely be back to try out more on their menu and grab another pint.

First off, this place needs to get some more staff! Thank god for Robert, who for some reason is only the busser but served us the whole night. The women who acted as our server denied us drinks at the bar, seated us and then was inattentive. Robert did a great job and made us feel so welcomed, this place needs to promote him! Food was excellent , I would recommend the bruschetta, gnocchi, rice balls and pizza! Good luck at Western Robert, you rock!

Amazing food, everything is so fresh. Their bolognese spaghetti was one of the best Ive tried. The Butternut Chardonnay is unlike most other white wines Ive had, and pairs amazingly well with the Tuna steak. Definitely coming again.

Slate has been a staple in the neighbourhood for years now. Great ambience and amazing food! The open kitchen and pizza oven makes for a unique experience. From the staff to the food, slate provides quality service that s hard to find these days.

I highly recommend this place. Their bruschetta was the best imo. I also had their grilled chicken linguine with sundried tomatoes, very tasty and sooooo delicious! I also recommend their Italian Berry Mule! The staffs were very friendly as well..

Really? $4.50 for a teabag. The atmosphere is awkward as is the staff as if its always the first day. SURPRISE! Gone.

Told us they were closed at 8 pm when thier website says they are open until 10.

Wonderful evening out - excellent service with a lovely, knowledgeable server, reasonable prices, wonderfully balanced sangria. Most important - the food was DELICIOUS! We had bruschetta to start - bread made in house, everything super fresh and incredible flavours. We thought about canceling the mains and just ordering a couple more plates of these, they were so good. Luckily, we stuck with the original plan - the pasta is amazing and the carbonara was just perfect. Did we have room for dessert? No way, but we had the lava cake anyway, a great way to finish the meal. Well be back!

Delicious pastas and excellent service!

Though the menu is a bit limited (I am guessing its a COVID issue), the options we tried were wonderful. Dishes are well served, at the right temperature, very tasty and the pasta just right. We enjoyed a delicious cheesecake as dessert. Service was top notch, so all in all a great experience and easy to recommend.

The best restaurant on the beaches. I had amazing dinner with my husband. Food was excellent, fresh, tasty and made in the house. Service was on point, very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave me perfect suggestions on their unique wine. Love it so much, definitely my favourite spot.

Tasty wood-fired pizza in the beaches. If anything they need to make it more obvious, because its a huge selling point. If they had a gigantic sign that said wood-fired pizza out front I woulda tried the place a lot sooner! Prosciutto pizza is delish, looking forward to trying others, and seeing if they expand the pizza menu further.

Great place and amazing menu. Kudos to the chef for going outside of the normal preppy food and bringing something more daring and refreshingly bold to Torontos menu. My sweet please salad with a generous amount of blue cheese really made my day. Both calamari and Greek salad were great and hit the spot. But the highlight of the night was the toasted bread with Slates signature pork. That dish didnt last through the night even though I was utterly full. Im glad seeing more of places like this pop up around Toronto. It gives me assurances that for the times come, living in Toronto, however difficult, will always reward you with experiences to share, enjoy and remember.

Went to SLATE for Sunday dinner. 8 people in the restaurant (3 in our party). The shrimp pasta and chicken arrived. It must have been a long 20 feet. Because both pastas and the chicken were cold. The waitress took it back, came back in two minutes, parts of the pasta was hot, parts warm and parts still cold. I was starving or I wouldn t have stayed. Overall I don t recommend this place based on my experience.

Good food, but I had a bad experience with a waitress who coerced my friends into tipping her. It was embarrassing, and she ended up pressuring us to give her money as a tip. I didnt want to make a scene but I was horrified to see someone pressure us.

Over priced for cafeteria quality food. Never again, the butchers block pizza had 1 piece of what seemed to be beef and two thin slices of sausage, the crust was soggy and felt like a frozen pizza.

My favourite restaurant in the beaches! As a vegetarian my personal favourites are the Mushroom Ravioli and Margarita Pizza. Yum! Awesome selection of cocktails and wine and service... On point Highly recommend!

Thank you for a wonderful evening! We had a double birthday celebration and the food, atmosphere and service were amazing! The staff was extremely accommodating to our group and provided excellent and professional service. The food was really delicious! The outdoor patio was perfect for our celebration and warm enough with the heat lamp for the end of October. Highly recommend!

Terrible experience. Tactfully told the server that my chicken tasted like it had gone bad. She apologized and took it away. After 10 minutes she comes back and tells me that they can throw my left over chicken on the grill again. Since the chicken was not undercooked instead tasted horrible - I said no and thank her for understanding. Very disappointed when I saw my bill and was still charged 50% of my chicken plate. This is a rookie move for a restaurant who wants to keep clients. Will not be coming back but wish them the best and hope they get better staff who deal with these types of situations. Response to owner: Glad to hear this is your policy. Although I can assure you I was offered to have my chicken cooked more - I am happy to give you the benefit of the doubt and call it a misunderstanding. I will also agree that the server was attentive. She received a 15% tip regardless of the negative experience with the food. However, no free dessert was provided. I don t care about that - but you are in fact incorrect. You mentioned I was charged because 85% of my meal was eaten? Keep in mind the Pollo Limone is a very small dish. 4 asparagus and a couple pieces carrots make up that 85%. I politely agreed to pay the bill. No need to ruin the server s night with more complaints. I simply won t be returning.

Had a wonderful birthday lunch in the middle of the work week! Food came out quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara! Had the home made cheesecake with a sparkler in it for dessert to celebrate. Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back again!

Absolutely fantastic! We tried Slate for the first time last night and it was amazing. Our server, Victoria was awesome!! I had chicken alfredo and my husband had the carbonara, both dishes were over the top delicious. The prices are so reasonable and a nice selection of wine which Victoria offered us to try before purchasing. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Had a pretty decent meal here tonight. Calimari app and Italian burger with caesar salad for my main. The draft beer I ordered with dinner was super flat when it came. The server had no problem bringing me a new beer and was super accommodating. Calimari was lightly fried, and well cooked, but a little bit underseasoned. Pesto sauce that came with it was good. Meat in the burger was cooked really well. It was nice and juicy. Cant say I loved their take on the burger, as it had a pesto sauce and balsamic, but thats just me. It really was cooked well, so I cant complain. The caesar salad was decent. I appreciate the effort in making a true dressing from scratch, but I think they went a bit heavy on the anchovy. All in, it was a good experience. I had my 18 month old daughter with me, and the staff was really great with her. I would check this place out again, but maybe try something different on the menu.

The service was really friendly! Honestly 5/5 for service. The food and atmosphere was kinda meh. The food wasn t bad but it wasn t anything exciting. It felt very generic. I could say I just ordered wrong but we got two entrées and an appetizer and nothing had much depth. Again, it wasn t bad it just wasn t anything unique. I would consider going back except the bill wasn t cheap. I d rather try somewhere else in the neighbourhood however if someone I was with someone who wanted to eat there I wouldn t fuss.

Was here only a couple of times but the food was incredible!! I had pasta both times. One waitress made suggestions of some cocktails and I enjoyed both very much!! Both times a bit on tbe pricier side but that may have been due to my expensive libacious interests

Restaurant a little away from Toronto (15 minutes by car) a few minutes from Lake Ontario. The waitress was adorable and the dishes were very generous. The terrace being close to the road it is not the best place to enjoy absolute calm if that is what you are looking for. The only problem is the bill: the restaurant is expensive. Allow around a hundred $$$ for 2 to 3 people (in total) if you take starters + main courses + coffee.

Always great food, was lovely to sit on the street side patio last night. Good cocktails, great food. Hard to find good spots in the Beach and they never disappoint.

Lets start with positives. Looking beautiful and clean inside. Outside patio area is very cute with greenery. Cocktails were good. Why only 3*: - It took a while to get the order, granted its not the waiters fault, but management. He was running as fast as he could to serve and make cocktails to everyone. Looks like bad scheduling having only 1 staff. - We were going to the beach, but stopped for a cocktail when we saw a sandwich board about specials. When we came in inside to be be seated, I saw another poster on the wall - Happy hour from 2pm, $10 all cocktails. When we were greeted by the staff, I mentioned that we are here for Happy Hour. However, at the end bill showed regular prices. After I mentioned it to the waiter, he apologized for inconvenience and refused to change the price. Also, at the bottom of the receipt he brought, was another message Happy Hour special full day if I remember well. Please, pay attention to the bill, if you decide to go there!

Stellar food, atmosphere and service; One of the Beaches hidden gems. I tried SLATE for the first time this past Valentine s Day and I ve been back a number of times since. The food has always been top-notch and delicious. As a big fan of Italian food, I ve never been disappointed. Highlights for me are the chicken caesar salad and the pizza from the stone oven. The service has always felt very friendly and personable, if not a little bit slow. That being said, the modern atmosphere with moody lighting and lounge music by a live DJ lend s itself to a longer stay. Ideal for a date night. During COVID or during warmer months, I would highly recommend dining on the elevated porch area.

We have been looking for good Italian food. Especially mushroom ravioli. It turns out that at the bottom of our street is the best in the city. Absolutely delicious. So good we have gone 3 times in 2 weeks. Even though we have to take it home with us its still fantastic. We cant wait to be able to enjoy once we are all able to dine in again. Im sure it will be even better. Great food and great staff.

Amazing experience. Very tasty brascetta and the pasta was so authentic! The service was really great too! Cozy and cheerful. Chocolate lava cake - over the top! Good buzz too. Thank you Cameron and entire crew for a great experience!

I got take out food from here an it was good an just everyone was super friendly from the min you walk in to when u leave which is so great I don t usually come around this area but I would definitely come back Just to have something small at least at this location totally amazing

This was our first time here. Group of four on a Friday evening at seven. Mostly full but got a table right away. Atmosphere is casual and friendly. DJ playing tunes but not so loud that it was overwhelming. I had the meat pizza (about $18). Tasted good. Next time I would ask for it to be done a little more to crisp up the crust. Pizza is done in a traditional wood fired oven. A had the basic burger. I had a bite and we both thought it was very good. Came with fries. Draft beer menu is limited. Parking is on Queen street. Green P. Or free on side streets but hard to find. I enjoyed the restaurant and would go again.

So glad that I stopped in to this great new beaches gem on Friday night! Staff super friendly & welcoming, they made great suggestions on wine and chatted with me while I sat at the bar. Great fresh food, with top notch service. This family owned establishment is a great addition to the beaches and well worth your dollar for a great lunch or dinner. There cheese and beer platter is highly recommended.

Had a great time at Slate Restaurant in the beaches! Food was pretty good, no complaints. I had the calamari, beet salad and steak frites. Nothing extraordinary but good for a decent meal. I will be trying the pizza and pasta next time!

SLATE is a very nice and cozy restaurant. The food was really delicious and the service was great too.

We went in for a late night dinner. We ordered a few apps and some mains. The apps were quite good but the pastas were outstanding! We will be going back!

I dont know how to frame this message other than an expression of frustration and an attempt to start yet another conversation on the apathy of some local businesses. My wife and I just visited Slate. We came in pretty hungry at 1:10pm on a Saturday. We had been there once before and everything had been a solid 7/10 so we gave it another go. We were the only table there. One bartender, one cook. We were greeted and we sat down, the bartender/server took our drink order before we sat down but we didnt think much of it. 5 minutes later she came back with our drinks and took our food order: one veggie pasta, one soup. A gentleman then walked in and proceeded to start a conversation with the cook (its an open kitchen, I could see the interaction). Our order was punched in, and we engaged in conversation. 19 minutes later I realized the cook was still talking with the man, the bartender still cleaning the shelves where the wine bottles sat, and the wait continued. Halfway through our pints, 20 minutes later as the man gave his business card to the cook and left, we told the server to cancel our food order (it hadnt been started yet), and to give us our bill. The server told the cook, and after some time at the POS with the help of the cook, brought back our bill. No apology, no question of why we had cancelled our order, nothing. I realize that now Im rambling, and youve gotten the point so I ask this: Why is this okay? Why does the cook not realize that he has an order. Why does the server not tell the cook theres an order. Why do the only two people in the restaurant not get the respect they deserve as paying customers. Im not surprised they were dead today. There are so many businesses trying so hard to make it, this one struck out for me. Never again. Respect your patrons. You are a business in the service industry. Dont take us for granted.

Overall we were disappointed with the experience. This stems from the fact they didnt have beef brisket left, which is a key ingredient in several of their entrees. I understand this can happen, but not so early in the evening. Also, they only had one server, which slowed things up.

Came here on Saturday night and I was very very disappointed in the quality of there drinks. The bartender seemed inexperienced because all of our drinks tasted gross, and no where near what those drinks were supposed to taste like. These were basic drinks that were overpriced and they did not deliver the value. It was disgusting and amature. I recommend a more experienced bar tender.

I worked in the restaurant industry for many years. When I eat out I always look at the kitchen of the restaurant. This restaurant is very clean! The onwer has the passion of making good Italian food from fresh ingredient with reasonable price. Go check out how clean the open kitchen your self before you decide to dine in. I am very happy with this restaurant and I would come back for sure

I wish there was more than. 5 star rating . So m and few of my friends have decided to walk in after one of them passing by the Slate earlier in the day and suggesting to have a dinner there instead of the place we initially set to have a dinner at. It was the best decision. I have tried all the dishes each of us ordered in addition to the appetizers and everything tasted fenomenal. I had fog prosciutto salad with added shrimps ... Yummm ... Friends had different types of pastas and one had tuna bacon sandwich. All the plates were empty in the end. I am adding a photo of an empty plate as a proof ;) staff was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was relaxed and nice. Music is lively and overly loud so we could still have conversations going. They have a special on Wednesday half price bottle of wine so two of my girlfriends have enjoyed that. We are all going back there next Wednesday.

Slate is decent overall but they have the worst selection of music which absolutley destroys the ambiance of the place. The first time I came they were playing disco music all night. It thought it was odd but the restaurant was busy so the music was not that noticable. I went again last night with my girlfriend and again the disco music was blaring. I asked the DJ if he could play something else and he just continued with the disco. I asked him later if he could play some other genre..anything....but not Celebration, Stayin Alive, YMCA etc...He said he will play some 60s...ok better but not great. He played one song and the went right back to disco. I had enough and paid the bill and we will never go back. Who plays disco music all night in a cosy Italian eatery. Unbelievable. The place wont last.

The setting of the restaurant was idyllic and we were instantly delighted on entering the restaurant. It was perfect, the decor was beautiful and provided a very intimate setting for myself and my girlfriend to enjoy our meal.

Killer burger and margarita. As a trained chef, I can appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the skillful preparation.

Really amazing place! The layout of the restaurant is very cozy, and the food is absolutely fantastic with a lot of variety at reasonable prices.

I love the tomato soup with home made pita. So good, especially on these cold days. Food is a little slow to table because they make every serving fresh....be patient, its worth it. The service is so charming and friendly.
