my girl and I went here for a date night and I have nothing but incredible things to say. We ate at the Fairmont hotel the night before and it was nothing compared to what we got here. Reasonable prices and incredible service left us satisfied in every way. 10/10 recommend to anyone that loves Italian cause this place was phenomenal !

After not being acknowledged for 20 minutes, our server took our drink orders. They apologized. We ordered apps, all were underwhelming, and some were not correct. For example, the stuffed olives were just ice cold olives out of a jar in a bowl. The bread was a couple thin slices of focaccia. For our main dishes we ordered ravioli, the portion was very small, 8 ravioli lined up on a plate. A little bit too al dente, and frankly quite cold. The plate itself was very cold so it could be that this also made the ravioli cold. The cotolette was great and the portion was sufficient to share amongst a few people. But after I received the bill, I knew right away I would never go back.

This was something different. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, spoke with Anna, the owner, and got some history.

Food was great, service was excellent, server Sila was very friendly and her recommendations were great. Cazoncelli and mondegili 10/10 We will definitely be back!

My experience at selvio Restaurant was truly amazing, and a big part of it was thanks to the excellent service from the waitress, S la. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. Her warm approach when she came to the table and the recommendations she gave about the dishes were really appreciated. The service was very fast, and everything was presented perfectly. S la made sure to consider the comfort of the guests at every stage, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Selvio Restaurant is lucky to have her! Definetly will be there again

We had an amazing dining experience at Stelvio! Our server, Sila, went above and beyond to make the evening special. Her wine recommendations were spot on, and we absolutely loved the tiramisu it was the perfect ending to a great meal. Thank you, Sila, for your wonderful service! We ll definitely be back.

The handmade pasta is always fresh and perfectly cooked.. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a top-notch dining experience. If you re looking for a place that combines excellent food, great service, and a charming ambiance, Stelvio is definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful fall comfort food with great wine. Vegetarian options: Pizzocchie, a buckwheat pasta lulls you with warmth.

Such an amazing restaurant with constant consistency and creativity. Everything from the food, to the service, to the ambiance is top notch. I feel like I m in Italy every time I go. The owner/GM Anna is real gem with so much passion for food and hospitality. One of the best restaurants in the city by far!

Desserts were great mains were subpar and the apps were good! Pork cutlet was massive.

Terrible food. I booked at this establishment as they listed Risotto with Osso Bucco. I have eaten Osso Bucco all over the world and it is always a veal shank that is so soft you do not need a knife. The risotto was salty and the veal shank consisted of diced meat on top of the risotto. I am quite certain that the meat wasnt even veal. It had chunks of cartilage in it. It was disgusting. This chef needs to go back to school and learn how to make Osso Bucco. Better yet, I can go in and teach him/her. As well, they allowed some patron near the open front window to smoke throughout dinner which was disgusting. When I complained, the waitress said that it was coming from the patio out front. They did not have a patio out front. $44.00 for a plate of salty risotto and diced alley meat was a big rip off. Lastly the cheapest bottle of wine is $80.00 and totally not worth it.

I love Italian and had high hopes for this place. But the food falls short here. We had the polenta fries to start and then had the squash ravioli and the pasta in tomato sauce. Both lacked flavour. The pasta in tomato sauce was literally just that. I don t think they used any garlic, onion or any other spice. It was very bland and disappointing for the $25 they charge for this. Needless to say, we won t be back. The other two dishes were just ok. Not worth the money they charge.

Did not like the service at all, the waitress did not listen properly to our order and double-ordered our side dish. The pizza isnt that great for a thin crust sell.

Myself and some co-workers attended this restaurant on July 19. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming and were immediately greeted by the entire staff. The menu selection was great and the quality surpassed. I only have positive things to say about this place and recommend dining here if you are looking for delicious northern Italian food.

Ive been coming here for years and is definitely one of the best spots in the city for northern Italian cuisine. Every dish my family and I have had here has been nothing short of excellent and the service has always been top notch. If anyone asks me to recommend an Italian restaurant, this is the one that I mention first.

The food was very authentic Italian cuisine. You re not finding any kinda of pepperoni pizza or Alfredo pasta here. However, I found a hair in my food and it was DISGUSTING. My cousin wouldn t let me return my plate otherwise I would ve said something. The taste of the food is amazing. The area is a little questionable but it s also downtown Toronto so I wouldn t expect anything less. The place was very quiet and not busy at all.

Excellent Italian place, especially if youre looking for Northern Italian dishes. The wait staff were extremely helpful and the food was amazing! Would rate it six stars if I could.

My experience at Stelvio was good the food was awesome the service was on point the ambiance was pleasant. But the only thing that I think should have had bright lights because the lights were dull. Overall it was great and I recommend one should try their Italian food.

We had a fantastic experience here on a Friday evening and will be sure to visit again. To start, the food was fantastic and worth eating slowing and enjoying each bite. From appetizers to desert, nothing disappointed. Id highly recommend the GNOCCHI CASARECCI AL TARTUFO - this is the best dish Ive had in an Italian restaurant in ages. The restaurant is designed well - natural light pours in at the front of the restaurant and the doors open right up for fresh air. Later in the evening the pendant lights kick in adding to the great atmosphere. Thank you Anna and your team for a lovely evening!

Food was ok. Good space for a large group.

The food was ok, but the bread tasted awful. No flavor at all. No pizza btw. Ravioli is not good either. The tagliatelle with mushrooms, that was good!

I had the ossu buco, and it was delicious. A little salty, but that might just be me. The server was very knowledgeable and had really excellent suggestions.

Are you frikking kidding me so good. Came For a dinner with a friend during their happy hour. The plates are cheap so we think it s going to be small portion. Order a bunch of dishes. The plates are huge. Can t finish our order so have to take three dishes each home. The food was delish. The servers attentive, delightful and fun. Will be back.

It almost feels like Toronto doesn t deserve Stelvio. The food, the beer, the atmosphere, and the service were all top-notch. The staff were warm and welcoming, and quite accommodating when our hitherto small party unexpectedly became too large for the table where they had seated us, and were only too happy to move us elsewhere. True to the Italian culinary heritage, our party left thoroughly satisfied.

Ridiculously overpriced and very, very mediocre.

Visited on the recommendation of a friend. I was disappointed with how my allergy was handled and would recommend more diligence in the future with allergies as I almost ate something I told the server I was allergic to. The food was okay but I was too anxious to eat after. I usually don t leave reviews but wanted to bring this to your attention for future scenarios.

We went there especially to try the schnitzel and tiramisus. The schnitzel was delicious but not perfect. The top layer was easily separated from the meat and it was a bit greasy. This was something I did not expect to see. Other than that it was delicious. Also, the schnitzel was big enough for 3 people to eat. Other than that, we had tortellini. I dont have much to say about the dough and the filling. It was quite ordinary. But the sauce and spices added on top were simply perfect. Tiramisu was light and intensely flavored. It had a flavor above my expectations. For wine we had a white Italian wine starting with F and it was delicious Parking: Due to its location on a very busy street, you may have difficulty finding a parking space. But there is a paid parking lot for a few cars right in front of it.

This is a lovely spot that can accommodate a large group for dinner. They were even able to add one more without any notice. Wonderful service! Cocktails were outstanding and food was very good.

3.5 , 2 stars for the pasta. FOOD: Mondeghili: best thing on the table, the meat ball was amazing, Im in loved with the combination of it with the onion compote. The onion bring the dish to a whole new level. Caramelle Di Coniglio: I hate that the pasta is undercooked because it supposed to be al dente. No its clearly undercooked and taste like raw dough. Rabbit meat barely has any flavor, the truffle was too strong it made the rest of the dish feels very bland. Tagliatelle Al Ragu di Cinghiale: a little better and less undercooked than the Ravioli, but still a bit hard. The ragu is good but I feel like its lack of sauce, the pasta is thick so after a while it absorb all the sauce and the dish become a bit dry. Tiramisu: i got shocked when they brought out a huge container of tiramisu. It was good but theres no way to finish it. SERVICE: quite slow, the waiter was busy and barely notice us. VIBE: so loud, very noisy. The place sounds like a local market.

All around a great experience. I have been twice, and both times have been 5-star. Authentic, delicious Northern Italian cuisine, friendly and helpful service, and zero complaints. Looking forward to my next visit!

Stelvio is delicious! The bring authentic Italian to the heart of Toronto. Food was fantastic as was service. The Elephant Ear cutlet is MASSIVE. Highly recommend sharing that with a few people Only downside - 20% auto gratuities on parties of 6 or more. It s outrageous that restaurants decide how much I tip. I m not saying they didn t earn it, more so around letting me decide that.

Food, service, environment: simply TOP!!!

Visited on Valentine s Day, tables were placed extremely closely together, which was understandable. However, we arrived when the restaurant was empty except for 2 tables, and they seated us in the middle of the 2 other couples. We asked to move and they moved us just one table over. As the restaurant filled up, all guests were seated close together, despite the empty tables on the other side of the restaurant. Space was so cramped that you had to be extremely careful when getting into and out of your seat, and it was impossible to hold a private conversation. Next, food. Food was okay. Nothing special and nothing to rave about. Got the italian cured meat platter as well as 2 Tagliatelle. Both of the tagliatelle had warm and cold pieces of pasta, which we found unacceptable. We were the second table to order that night and some of our pasta was cold, meaning it had just been reheated.

Tried this during winterlicious, appetizer was basic but their mains and desserts were brilliant (great taste, good portion size). The best dish was Rabbit Ravioli (caramelle di coniglio) something I tried for the first time and will gladly go back again for. Also, discovered that they sometimes have pasta making classes which was interesting and something I would love to explore.

I went back few times and I can t stop! The Cotoletta ( elephant ear) I can t get enough!! Great service!! Great spot also for Aperitivo! Shout out to Anna , fantastic host!

I have to emphasize that I have never left a review for anything in my life. But this place, this place right here, deserves a 5/5 and more. The food is absolutely phenomenal. My palate has never been graced by better flavors in my life. The homemade pasta was cooked to perfection, and the mushrooms were so fresh. The drinks? Phenomenal. The dessert? Exquisite. The atmosphere? Incredible. The service? Amazing. The staff was so kind and shared what Stelvio is all about, and even how to pronounce the dishes which I loved. I drove 3 hours to eat here, and I will be driving 3 hours many more times to eat here again.

Different Uptake on Northern Italy Cuisine. To me the star of the show is this massive Milanesa and some of the other side dishes.

We visited Stelvio as a group of 8 for dinner on NYE. I mean I had read the reviews were not that great but still kinda wanted to give it a shot. I was utterly disappointed with our experience. The service was good and so was the ambience but other than that, nothing. We ordered the arancini balls which was mediocre, squash ravioli which just way too sweet and bad in taste, truffle gnocchi and risotto which was extremely salty and the spinach ricotta ravioli was way undercooked and so not good! The cocktails too were just meh except the espresso martini which I was glad they served even though it was not on the menu. We did not have the heart to order desserts after this awful experience. Surprisingly the staff never checked with us about the food either :/. And to make things worse, their prices are exorbitant for the kind of food they serve. It was a total waste of money. Also, this bad experience stayed true for everyone in our group. Definitely won t be coming back.

Ive been to Stelvio twice now ... save your money if you are expecting something extraordinary. The service, at best, is average and the dishes are good but not memorable. I was at this restaurant for my 50th birthday pre-covid and was so unimpressed and forgettable back then that I forgot about it and booked the same restaurant and had the misfortune of eating there again after seeing a CP24 segment of 2022 Summerlicious. I went to the restaurant on Jan. 5th, 2023 with my wife/son. Also, the general area that Stelvio is located in is not desirable. Its probably better to try a different restaurant that is closer to Spadina instead of off the beaten path. Finally, the menu online does not match what is offered in the restaurant so beware.

Wonderful food and atmosphere has a buzz

The food was amazing and affordable for what it was! Authentic Italian cuisine with the perfect sized portions; I had hand made ravioli and have paid the same price for a lesser (quality and quantity) meals at other restaurants. Delicious and complex flavours for every party of our meal. But by far the best part of our meal was the attentive and friendly staff! We had no less than 5 servers tend to us- refilling or water before it became empty, bringing our food quickly, and when we said we had a show to go to, somehow made sure to bring the food and bill in the perfect time! We also noted that many of the servers were italian (very cool) and! The table next to us was from Quebec and the server seamlessly switched to French and described the Italian-English menu to them! We were impressed by the skill, knowledge, and compassion of him and every other server. We would absolutely recommend anyone to eat here if they want a moderately priced but extremely decadent and welcoming experience.

Was a medium experience for a Saturday eve. We had an Italian manager that was kind and helpful, staff was nice too. The food was meh. Meat board was dry. The pasta was hit or miss. I liked mine, gnocchi gorgonzola, but I ll admit the rest of our friends pastas were dry. Cocktails were good but drinks are expensive. Wine will set you back 70+ a mediocre bottle. Location is large and for me they seem to have a hard time keeping up with service. You can find much better bang for you buck in Toronto, that said if they clean up slow service and inconsistant food it could become a much better restaurant.

The place is beautiful however the food is very poor for the price. We tried arancinis as appetizer and taste was like they were on a bag on the freezer for months, not tasty at all. As main we tried spezzatino con polenta, and the beef stew was ok, didnt feel the wine reduction but it was ok, the polenta was tasteless and definitely one of the worse Ive eaten.

Hidden on Dundas West of Bathurst, this Italian eatery is an absolute gem. Energetic, busy, noisy in a good way. Enjoyed a wonderful appetizer of flattened, seasoned meatballs - MONDEGHILI and then my main - gnocchi with artisanal sausage, mushrooms and truffles - GNOCCHI CASERECCI AL TARTUFO and accompanied it with an absolute wonderful glass of Abramo riserva barrique-le rive. But what made this experience that much better was the attention and service from the bartender. She was extraordinarily nice, attentive and did not try to insert herself into my experience beyond need. Yes, I sat at the bar. My friends for the evening ended up sick so I was solo and I have found sitting at the bar to be the best place when alone. Absolutely wonderful experience and will definitely be back with friends.

The worst service and food I have ever experienced in Toronto. And I think the staff knew it because food was being returned left right and centre and they didn t even apologize and ask what the reason of the return was. I do not recommend, the waiter forgot to bring us our full appetizer and the risotto tasted as though it was basted in salt. Worst experience, do not suggest. Save your money because this was horrible.

We had an amazing meal and time here Saturday night. It was my wife s Birthday and she wanted to try their food and it was a great choice. We had several different dishes and everything from the flavorful pastas to the Elephant Ear pork cutlet about the size of a car wheel was excellent. The atmosphere was laid back. The staff were very friendly and explained the menu thoroughly and offered up some great advice. Highly recommend you try the food here. You won t be disappointed

Excellent food! Highly recommend the arancini, risotto and gnocchi. The tiramisu was also fantastic. Nice cosy place, very attentive servers, and pretty inexpensive given the high quality of food. I would definitely go back.

Nice atmosphere, good service, wine was tasty but expensive, fried meatballs were a hit, homemade buckwheat pasta was also a hit, tiramisu was a great finish to the evening. Some might consider the portions small for the price but for us it was just right! We will we going back.

Had a great experience and I already can t wait to go back and try the giant pork cutlet and some other of the pasta dishes. Highly recommend the Bresaola could have done 2 to 3 servings of it. Very knowledgeable staff that were quite helpful with any questions we had and also a great wine selection to pair with their dishes.

Wow, what a wonderful dinning experience for our group of 5 on a Tuesday night. The food was incredible with unique regional Italian cuisine. We took the chefs recommendations and appreciated him coming by our table. We loved the design aesthetic of the restaurant and had a large round table making it easy for everyone to socialize. Cant wait to go back!

Great authentic Italian cuisine!! Staff was so friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were both amazing. The cocktail I d recommend is the Amaretto sour. We had the tagliere Stelvio and arancine to start. Both were very good but I d recommend the tagliere more. For mains we had the gnocchi Al tartufo and risotto alla milanese, which were both delicious. The torta della nonna for dessert was easily the best of the night and it was so good that I ate half of it before I remembered to take a picture.

I attended Stelvio for the lasagna making class. It was .. INCREDIBLE! Not only did I learn how to make a new dish, the atmosphere was also lovely. My partner and I enjoyed the class so much so that we stayed behind once the class was over for some more food and drinks. I had the chance to meet the owners and they took great care of us. If you re looking for a beautiful place with good service and quality food this is one I would recommend.

The food was splendid and our group of 4 had an amazing dining experience. Second time at the restaurant and their unique to northern Italy dishes food did not disappoint. We arrange for a tasting menu so we could sample a number of dishes and favourites were the risotto affumicato al tartufo and the Orecchia DElefante. Great ambiance suited to either a special occasion or family dinner.

I have had many great experiences at Stelvio. The food is very authentic and delicious. I have been for a small intimate dinner and have brought my staff for dinner as well. Both experiences did not disappoint and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Great place for ambience and service! However, minus two stars for portion sizes... Come on for 25 bucks at least people deserve more than 8 pieces of tiny ravioli. I get it there is inflation but its ravioli and not steak!!

Food is good, but the prices are astronomical, portions are minuscule and service is rushed. We finished 2 courses and drinks in about an hour. Service is OK but I expected it to be more friendly/personable for the price. Also the restaurant was extremely hot.

I loved the service and it felt so warm to be inside the space. for a second, I thought I wasn t in Toronto it was a snowy day when I went and the warmth of the interior decor added to the dreaminess of it. The food was tasty and the owners and staff are amazing (thank you)!

Our waiter was knowledgeable about the entire menu and explained to us where the food was based, how it was made, and the ingredients. He knew how to talk and interact with us and gave us excellent recommendations. Highly recommended.

Small portions but very tasty

My friend and I decided to try Stelvio on a Sunday around 6pm. Walked into the restaurant, we were the only ones in there so we got to pick where we wanted to sit. I don t remember the type of red wine we ordered, but I wish they had more options that are offered per glass. For food we ordered the Tagliere Stelvio, which was a combination of the cured meats, cheese and honey. The bread that was served with it was a bit dry, wasn t a huge fun of it. Was expecting a bit more from this platter. We also ordered the Risotto Al Tartufo and the elephant ear cutlet . You can share the cutlet with probably three people, but it s just incredibly salty. It doesn t come with any side and it comes at the steep price of $39. The risotto was probably my favourite dish that we ordered, it was cooked very well.. a tad bit on the saltier side as well. I wish they had come around with water more frequently, I just asked for a bottle of water to be placed at our table. For dessert we got the Warm apple cake served with Vanilla Ice Cream, it was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, had a nice evening with my friend but I don t think I would return. Vegetarian options: There is a variety of vegetarian options. Parking: Street parking in front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: I did not see any high chairs or a kids menu.

The Carpaccio Di Bresaola Della Valtellina and Risotto Alla Milanese Con Ossobuco are really good. Interesting flavours. Would order again. The Spezzatino Con Polenta was ok, would not order again. Overall, unique Italian restaurant that is not like other typical Italian restaurants with pizza and pasta.

I heard from my North Italian friends that this restaurant has very authentic food from the Milan region. The food was actually very fresh and flavourful. Especially liked the Mondeghili, the beef stew with polenta, and the Tiramisu. Torta della Nonna is a warm cake and is very tasty / fresh.

This is an extremely disappointing restaurant with very mediocre food and an uninspiring menu. Lamentably, the service matches the quality of the cuisine. We went here on Valentines day hoping for a romantic evening out; it took forever (20mins) for the waitress to notice us and take our order. We ordered 2 starters and two main dishes. Nothing was memorable. ALL the food took a while to arrive. Our drinks took equally long. The worst part is that the kitchen staff couldnt even get the salad right! They accidentally served us arugula and parmesan and forgot the 3 other ingredients - the dressing, the pork and the mint!! At least they took it off the bill because it was their oversight. The service is inattentive and cold. Prices are fair but when the food lacks taste, depth and quality, it should probably be at an even lower price point. I dont recommend this to anyone. There are many other amazing Italian restaurants in the city (this one is not hard to beat)...

THE PLACE IS FILTHY DON T EAT THERE. My friend invited me here a few days ago, the food was subpar, it tasted stale. I found hair on my food. Going to the washroom saw a bunch of baby cockroaches on the floor heading to the kitchen. No wonder they painted everything black and made everything so dim. Save your money, there are better places in this city than this dump. Reply to the owner: Who is this replying? The real owners that live in Italy and have no idea what their kitchen staff wears on their on their day to day basis, and have their sister manage the restaurant? Or is this Anna? Because I know her English is not as good as to reply to this. I ve been inside your kitchen, and I can assure you, there s no hair nets worn by the staff. It s mostly a bunch of bearded Italian men that also wear no nets on their beards so their face hair is 100% possible to show up in the food. Again. Don t be fooled by the theatrics of the restaurant. Nobody has the time to actually go and check their assurance so you will actually put all the hats and tricks on to show you its clean. There s thousands of restaurants with better quality food and not as pricy and pretentious as this one. Do yourself a favour and eat elsewhere. Don t waste your time and money.

We did a walk-in on a Saturday night, place had a few tables left so we were able to grab a spot. The front staff nicely moved us to a bigger table as we asked for it (if possible, of course). Service was overall good, the food was awesome, I have to say, the ravioli (Caramelle Di Conoglio) was amazing, we also had the Orecchia D Elefante, it was crispy and very tasty, it is huge so we had sone left overs to take home. Atmosphere is great and I loved the dimmed ambiance, prices are very reasonable.

The restaurant interior is beautiful and elegant. Service was friendly but took some time to take our order or check up on us. Also didn t really explain much about the menu when asked either. We ordered the squash ravioli, veal & pork ravioli, passatelli and elephant ear cutlet. Most of the dishes were good, but not spectacular. The passatelli was way too salty. The item really worth getting though, is the elephant ear pork cutlet. It s huge, crispy and perfectly cooked but it s very heavy for one person to eat such a large amount of meat. You get tired after eating a quarter of it. Not sure if it s meant for one person, but if it isn t then maybe the server should have disclosed that.

Impressive! Great waiter, great food, great vibes makes for a great time. Great delivery on the cocktails creations. Small menu makes for easy pickings but stop what you re doing right this instant and check the elephant ear schnitzel below. P.S. Amazing greenery but that monstera needs work ;)

Service with attitude.

We were only there for a pasta making class. So I m sure the regular restaurant experience is much better. But it was just super hot that day and there was no AC on in the restaurant, which made it tough to make handmade pasta. Also you have to work standing up at a low dining table, which hurts your back after a while. This is likely because there s no space for chairs once they try to squeeze in as many people as possible for a class.

Service was really nice, the people were really nice, the place looks nice, the food wasnt as fantastic as it could have been and the mark-up on the wine was more than 300%... left feeling a bit disappointed.

Find yourself in a real Italian restaurant! Excellent Italian cuisine, exactly like in a restaurant in Italy. The first courses are very good, I particularly appreciated the pizzoccheri but the casoncelli, tagliatelle with wild boar and risotto with osso bucco were also very good (I would serve this more all the wave). We also really liked the Milanese cololetta. The environment is extremely refined and welcoming and the staff, all Italian, are very courteous and prepared. I definitely recommend it to Italians

A rustic contemporary concept that serves Italian food from in and around Milan. The service was fine dining level which was lovely but found the servers to be excellent servers however a bit too serious and lacked warmth. The food was absolutely incredible. Stunning presentation, tastes were delicate and unique. Serving size was a bit on the smaller size but the two of us shared 3 happy hour apps and 2 mains and felt satisfied. We ordered the warm apple cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. That was the only disappointing dish. The cake was 3 small pieces that didn t taste like apple at all, didn t seem to be warm and was too dry for my liking. The ice cream made the dish palatable. I would like to see a more unique dessert menu with something mind blowing like the rest of their dishes.

I had already had dinner a while ago when they were in a smaller place and I wanted to return. Theres nothing to say. It is certified Lombard cuisine. No frills or adaptations to local tastes. Those who know what they eat are happy because it is delicious. Anyone who eats it for the first time is amazed. This time too my foreign colleagues were impressed. We chose a mix of first courses. Casoncelli, pizzoccheri, pumpkin tortelli and Milanese risotto with ossobuco. All tops.

Overall such a mediocre experience! the staff weren t very friendly and the atmosphere felt icky but the food was pretty good. We had a large table and all of us felt the same ~ none of us wanted to go back! Sad to say this but I definitely wouldn t recommend!

Enjoyed the setting , but thought the food lacked anything that would set it apart in a highly competitive market . Waiting staff were random in their approach , from immediate water on table , to waiting over 15 minutes to even be asked if we wanted normal drinks . Had a starter to share and hadnt finished this before main meals started appearing . Found the staff wooden and lacking enthusiasm

The food was okay. My friend had the stuffed ravioli and said it was delicious. I got the risotto. The rice was slightly undercooked and there was too much pepper my throat was burning (not in a spicy way) at the end. I m glad I only got the half portion. Happy hour menu is very affordable if you want to take your date to a nicer restaurant.

I ve been there on Friday night and everything was amazing. The food was delicious, in particular the gnocchi *chef kiss*. The restaurant itself is cozy and elegant and the staff is friendly and fast, the service has been impeccable. Can t wait to come back!

What a delicious spot! We went during happy hour but also ordered a bunch of items off the regular menu: What we had, split between two people, and our thoughts: - Polenta sticks: served with with truffle mayo. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy the middle - Sciatt: Buckwheat fritters with cheese inside. This one was surprisingly good! I didnt think much of buckwheat but it wasn t earthy or boring at all. It was delightful! - Risotto asparagi e pistacchio: the rice grains were well cooked, the asparagus wasn t overwhelming at all and the pistachio added a nice texture to each bite - Tagliatelle tartufate al funghi: delicious freshly made pasta, earthy and umami from all that mushroom selections - Tortellini d erbette: these little dumplings are huge, with generous filling of spinach and ricotta. Soft bursts of flavour in each bite - Tiramisu: i m on a personal mission to try every tiramisu i come across in Toronto. this one is amazing each layer was decadent and they are all equally thick so each bite is pretty damn magical. For $16, based on the size, it s really affordable compared to other tiramisu we ve come across. i m a huge fan! Overall, delicious (vegetarian) dinner for two. We are not vegetarians and surprised ourselves with how delicious each meal was. Can t wait to be back to try other the desserts they have on the menu.

Delicious and authentic Italian food from Milano and regions surrounding it such as Monza, Bergamo, Valtellina, etc. Highly recommend the elephante cutlet. Could feed up to 4 people. It is massive. A simple dish but delicious. Every dish, from the appetizers, pasta, carne (meat) are fantastic and didnt disappoint. All ingredients brought from Italy. Hidden gem.

Very disappointed! Too expensive for the amount and quality of food that s served. Plus they charge for a little dish of bread which should be complimentary. To say the least we won t be going back. That s even if they are still around. Walking into an empty restaurant at dinner time should of been our first clue.

My wife and i were looking for a delicious meal on dundas street west. We noticed the beautiful open windows at Stelvio and decided to go in for just a bite. However after sitting at the bar and trying some delicious white friulano wine, we were taking a back by the amazing menu. Delicious gnocchi one truffle and the other wild boar ragu. We opted to get the Ear of the elepheant pork cutlet as well. The sensations that overwhelmed all of our senses into state of pure peace and happiness was the food. The gnocchi texture was unreal. Soft seductive and intoxicatingly beautiful. ANNA served us with such grace and class. She made us feel at home. I recommend everybody in toronto visit this restaurant more than once. If you want authentic northern italian cusine made with passion and love book a table at Stelvio. Best gnocchi I have ever had.

The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately the experience wasn t good as the design choices. The restaurant was relatively empty (around 4 tables on a Wednesday night) and we were in a big table with 10 friends. First, the waitress told us to only order everything together, that they couldn t accept orders for appetizers first and main dishes after. So, we did order everything together hoping to have all the food together, which obviously didn t happen. The food took around 1 hour to arrive, someone ordered an orecchia as a main dish and received with other s appetizer. Some couples ordered an orecchia and a pasta to share, but we all received the pasta dishes 15min before the orrechia so one person of the couple would have to wait 15 minutes to start to eat together or both would need to wait in case they wanted to eat together which was the case and we ate the past cold! And even when the oreccias started to come, we need to wait around 15 more minutes until the whole table had the food ready. Finally, because it was a big table, the 20% tip was already included in the bill. We didn t want to discuss about that because it was a friend s birthday but the whole experience was so no worth of 20% tip! It would be a 5% maximum! The orecchia itself was really good, but the whole experience was awful. Not recommended at all really bad experience and the cherry on top is that it was expensive (82 cad for only 2 dishes and no drinks, a couple wait 1h to have the food and eat it cold).

One of the best service in the industry. Very friendly and professional staff. The ambience is casual and classy. However, did not enjoy my dish. Ordered the Gnocchi Gargonzola. Very underseasoned and underwhelming. At home I eat all my food without table salt and found this dish bland. Texture is linear. Asked for a side of Parmesan and made the dish a bit better. My friend order the Tagliatelle Al Cinghale. Was overly salty, table of 6 all tried a piece and agreed. Server was able to quickly rectify the situation. This was not the experience I was expecting. Went here for my birthday dinner and invited a medium sized group of friends. I was told there would be a set menu for the size of my party. The price of the menu per person was a bit steep but we all obliged. While the ambience was decent, thats the only good thing I can say about our experience that night. The food was not even up to par to what youd pay for an average meal, let alone the premium this place was charging per person. The waitress was extremely rude to my guests when they were asking for service. I feel embarrassed to have invited my guests to a place where they each had to pay such a hefty price tag for dinner+drinks for such a sub-par experience. This place put me off of set menus for the foreseeable future. Would absolutely not recommend this place for a planned dinner. An unusual treat to find an Italian restaurant specializing in food from the Lombardia region. Dont go expecting the typical Italian dishes, instead try something different!

Very cute restaurant. Went for a friends bday and it was good for a group. It was a bit pricey however the gnocchi was delicious.

I travel to Northern Italy often and the food here is pretty good surprisingly. The carpaccio and tagliatelle were done right and of course the tiramisu was excellent. People complain service is slow but thats how it is like in Italy! Will have to come back to try other items on the menu.

Calling the Risotto mediocre would be too generous. Portion sizes would barely feed a 5 year old but the gnocchi was tasty. Asked for butter for bread and it was hard as a rock Service was inattentive and slow (Saw on phone in back) Not a place thats worth going to again at all.

We were here for our office holiday party. The space is great and easily accommodated around 50 ppl. The bar service was great, the staff was extremely friendly and considerate. They let us use our Karaoke machine which was a lot of fun. The problem was the food, the mini appetizers were dried out and tasteless. The appetizers served at the table were nice. Most ppl complained about the polenta being too chewy. I had the mushroom risotto which had a good balance of truffle. The tiramisu for dessert was shy on the coffee flavour.
