To provide our guests with the most authentic Italian experience outside of Italy. We prepare and serve high quality food, at a great value, in a classy and comfortable environment.
Amazing delicious food.. So tasty and generous in size.. It was my first time today there and I will definitely come back. I had a special salad with shrimp and avocado and it was well dressed and flavorful.. I had a branzino with pasta, veggies and roasted potato and it exceeded my expectations.. Rich flavor and soft and the potatoes were delicious and well roasted. The pasta I had with white sauce was also perfectly done.. My partner had veal chops with mushrooms and oh that was really good.. For dessert we had the crème caramel and the tiramisu both homemade and we finished it all! Service was attentive and friendly and Manuel and his work mate made our dinner experience very comfortable and welcoming.. Well located, easy parking and affordable.. Really one of the best Italians I’ve been in the city. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!
Very good food and very well priced. I got the shrimp carbonara and it was delicious. The server was very attentive given he was the only one working. Portion size was impressive for the price. The area is small and that nice because it gives you the option of being more private. I like the posters they have around the place. 10/10 would eat here again.
This is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The food was amazing, the restaurant space itself was beautiful (I love the movie posters along the walls, it adds a great flair to the place), and the service was beyond incredible! Not to mention the prices, which were great given the high quality of the food! (Hiiiighly recommend the manicotti) Also, I’m not a big drinker, but their espresso martini was perfection. Top 2 espresso martinis I’ve ever had (might be the #1 if I’m going to be completely honest) I love tasting espresso in espresso martinis (so many places just don’t have it taste like coffee for some reason) — this one was rich in espresso flavour, and the foam was amazing! I got two… worth it. Would definitely come back to the Danforth just to go here again!!!
This place is a Hidden Gem! Pear Salad with Cheese and Arugula The pear salad combined juicy pear slices with creamy cheese and peppery arugula, all lightly dressed to enhance the natural flavors. It was a beautifully balanced dish of sweet and savory elements. The rigatoni, cooked to al dente perfection, was enveloped in a robust tomato sauce with just the right balance of acidity and sweetness. Fresh herbs and parmesan added an extra layer of deliciousness. This dish featured delicate angel hair pasta, tender chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and crisp broccoli, all brought together by a light, savory sauce that was both satisfying and elegant. The tiramisu was a perfect blend of mascarpone cream and espresso-soaked ladyfingers, offering a rich yet light finish to the meal. Each dish was crafted with care, delivering an unforgettable dining experience.
Don’t read the stupid one star reviews, the food here is really good for the price. Service was impeccable. Our family of 7 went for my partners birthday and we loved everything , from appies to mains (large portions too) to the yummiest of desserts and fresh coffee. Definitely recommend. Definitely will be back. (My pics don’t do justice for how good it all was)
Great little restaurant in the Danforth area, especially an Italian considering there are not many in the area. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and is extremely clean. They also have a small patio area outside, street side. We went here for dinner and the service was excellent, from the time we got there. All the food we ordered was very good. We had some dietary restrictions and they were great at accommodating us.
Lovely family dinner for Mother's Day! The meal portions were abundant. Fantastic flavour from all the pasta dishes we ordered. Desserts were refreshing! Lovely service by Miguel and friends! Will be returning.
Authentic, ever so pleasing and absolutely delicious! If you’re ever in the mood or just craving for Italian food, you definitely need to try this restaurant out on the Danforth! From the appetizers to the main entrées, and to the dessert, everything was just so tasty! Must try!!
We were disappointed in the food considering all of the good reviews. We had the caprese salad - the tomatoes were not at all ripe and were cold; the shrimp carbonara - it tasted burnt as both the shrimp and the guanciale/pancetta were burnt; and the cannelloni - it was ok, the marinara was nice. The wine was nice. The server, who was working alone, did a great job considering he was hosting, waiting, and clearing tables.
Best veal cannelloni in the city. We got back from Italy and still craved this place. Unmatched .
The service was AMAZING and the food was delicious!!
Excellent traditional Italian meal with friendly attentive service.
Miguel was a gem!!! Pass by here frequently on my bike to and from work. Alwats seeing how the restaurant guests are happy, chill chatting up the staff. We are so happy that we decided on TRATTORIA DI PARMA for our friend s birthday small birthday treat. We went all out by ordering half a bottle red wine, sampled 3 appetizers to share, a fabulous main course each choosing some of the chef specials, and the finale a desert each! Thank you staff and Miguel at Trattor di Parma for a flawless relaxing event, delicious food!! amar
Good service, but terrible food! No flavour....
What a lovely place! The food was great, the portions were generous and the prices are very fair. Our server Miguel was wonderful as well. I wish I had tried this place sooner, I will definitely be returning!
I went to Di Parma for the first time after their sister location, Parmigiano Trattoria closed. The food is extremely similar and they seem to have much of the same staff. I was very happy with the size of the portions for their price and the care that our server put into making sure that we were happy with our experience. I can t recommend this place enough.
Delicious! New favorite Italian restaurant. A must try!!
My friend and I had a fabulous evening last night at this wonderful Italian restaurant on The Danforth. The food was fantastic, and our waiter, Miguel, was just amazing. Thank you for making our night out so spectacular!
This Restaurant is the best in Italian food we went there for my daughters graduation dinner the service is the best we recommend it to anybody looking for good food everyone enjoyed there dinner to the fullest we will be back again its our go to place for Italian food thank you for the great service and the special touch you showed my daughter with the special cheese cake and candle it made her day even better
always yummy
We were so sad when Parmagiana moved from Lawrence and Yonge because it was our go to place for the best Italian restaurant in the city. But happily, it had simply moved to Pape and Danforth area with a new name Trattoria Di Parma. Best of all the food is still fabulous, the restaurant cosy with its lovely fireplace and Miguel is still there, so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our waitress, April is professional and funny at the same time. This is a true gem of a restaurant. Dietary restrictions: They accommodated by need for no garlic and onions. Everything was still delicious.
It s a cute little rustic Italian restaurant, with classy service and excellent food. Our waiter Miguel was multo bene
Ordered Cannelloni and got a container of tomatoe sauce. Im not sure if this is a soup, or sauce for me to make my own Cannelloni. Paid $18 for tomatoe sauce. Stay far away from this dishonest restaurant. Do yourself a favor and dine at La Grotta on Pape Ave. Five minutes drive around the corner. And as you can see from my profile, I dont leave many reviews. Last one was years ago. But this place felt like I was taken big time!
Had dinner with family on December 24. Great service, delicious food. We were all very pleased with our choices.
I just dropped by casually to taste Italian food and absolutely delighted with my experience here. The flavours of the dishes were extremely exquisite. The service was impeccable, and the staffs attention to detail enhanced the overall enjoyment. I havent had such a delightful dining experience in a long time. Kudos to the chefs and the entire team for creating a memorable culinary journey. Highly recommended!
Food was good, portions were good, the prices were reasonable, service was excellent, and we liked the atmosphere.
Excellent food at excellent prices. My favourite Italian restaurant on the Danforth by far.
I love this restaurant. The staff, ambience, the food... Top notch. Its an experience I will definitely repeat.
Fantastic, great pricing. Very nice man, pear salad w prosciutto bomb AF. Super full and decent pricing! Would return Food : 5/5 |
Absolutely a treasure! Worth the drive from Mississauga! Exception service, lovely ambience, great menu, and prices that are beyond reasonable- they re a steal. Seriously, I can t believe we found a new gem in Toronto! I m Italian and I can t get over how great this place is! Exceptional, affordable and delicious! Fantastic wine as well!
Exceptional food and service. Very fair prices and will be back again very glad I found this place!
Had a delicious dinner. Food is fresh and tasty and very reasonable. Missing you at Yonge and Lawrence (Parmigiano) but so happy that we found you at your new location. Food did not disappoint. Will be back soon to dine in.
Was recommended to come here by a friend and was not disappointed. Food was excellent and very authentic, the pricing was reasonable, and service/atmosphere was cozy and quaint. Will come again!
Good food, nice staff, decent sized portions, very reasonably priced. I got the appetizer special which was bosch pears stuffed with gorgonzola cheese on top a bed of arugula with prosciutto. The flavours went very well together, sweet pears and salty prosciutto. For my main, I got the seafood pasta special, only $32 for one lobster tail, 4 shrimps and 2 scallops with a decent sized portion of pasta with a seafood pesto sauce. The pasta was absolutely delicious. I finished the entire thing and felt very satisfied. For dessert, I had the chocolate truffle cake, which was surprisingly light but also rich and delicious. Im definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.
Amazing food! Amazing staff!!
Very rarely do I write reviews, however, this restaurant demands one. The food is pretty much perfect. The serving sizes are enormous. The price is 15-20 per entree, which is very reasonable relative to other Italian restaurants. A smaller gem among Danforth offerings.
We ordered omega salad, mere carbonara and chicken parm. All three dishes are absolute delicious and good portions. Mere carbonara was exceptional good! Service is excellent. Such a gem and I will definitely be back!
What a wonderful surprise! This was our first time at this establishment, and it did not disappoint. The servers were friendly, and the food was great. I had a lemon gelato dessert that had a delicate white chocolate crust ( I dont remember the name). It was really delicious. I shared with my husband, who normally doesnt like desserts, but loved this one. I definitely recommend this place!!! By the way, it was very reasonable priced!
Authentic food, nice atmosphere, I would go back
The food and service were excellent and price that is very reasonable .. will definitely be back!
This place is awesome, super nice server and the food was great. Try the eggplant parm!!
Incredible food and super friendly staff.
Website had a 10% off deal if ordering online but no way to get it when you put in the order. Website listed ravioli at $15 . I was charged $17. It was not listed in the menu at the restaurant. I asked for extra parmesan and received none, and my take out order had no napkins or utensils. The food is okay but bland. It might have been better with Parmesan.
Very good food and service !
My sister has recently moved into this area so 3 of us went there last night for dinner. What a great meal. We were able to share different dishes and can recommend them highly. An eggplant appetizer, bruschetta, their feature fish dish, 2 different salads, shrimp, dessert - it was all fabulous. The service was terrific, prices are reasonable. We will certainly be back.
Used to go to their place up on Yonge. Not quite the same but the food is good, hot. The service was ok. Not bad but not great. This new place is just lacking a little bit of personality that made the other place great, but other than that its yummy. The dish below is 22 and really needed to have a few more potatoes and veggies. The fish was delicious and flaky however. Limited parking in the area.
Authentic Italian dishes, reasonable food prices and nice staff! What more can I say? If youre having 2+ glasses of wine, best get the bottle. For apps we shared grilled breaded eggplant with tomato sauce. For mains he had Beef Marsala with veggies and pasta, and she had a pear and arugula salad. Good stuff and situated slightly off the beaten path.
The manager of this restaurant used to be at an Italian restaurant on Yonge at Lawrence and because their restaurant is going to be torn down for a condo, go figure they moved over here and brought their menu. Miguel the manager and his assistant are amazing and we absolutely love the food. The bruschetta is really delightful. The angel hair pasta is divine, and their salmon is exquisite. They tend to make the skin quite crispy but it almost melts in your mouth. To top it off their desserts such as the tiramisu, the raspberry tartufo, cheesecake and the creme caramel are a delicious way to end your meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Lovely little restaurant with great service and quality food at reasonable prices. Will surely be returning.
Great place! The food is really good, especially the pizza! The service is quick and the owner especially is lovely. Will be going back :)
Love this restaurant!!!!! The ambiance, food and the service deserves 5 +star . The best Italian restaurant in Toronto Food
Miguel came out to open the umbrella so I wouldnt be sitting in the sun, and otherwise had great service. Would recommend to others and will come back again
On Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 when the storm was starting and the winds were ramping up, the patio umbrellas were not secured. My fiancée and I were walking our dog and one of the umbrellas flew at my head and I was lucky enough to have blocked it with my shoulder and arm. Im lucky it was me and not my fiancée or my dog as it would have seriously injured either of them. My shoulder was seriously bruised and my range of motion was greatly affected because of this incident. I contacted the restaurant multiple times and requested to speak with the owner as there needs to be a solution to this issue and to ensure this never happens again to anyone else. I spoke with a guy named Miguel who took my number down but who knows if he ever passed on the message or the owner doesnt want to deal with this serious problem. I am appalled at the lackluster efforts to deal with this issue. I will never give my money to this despicable establishment they consider a business. If I could rate them lower than a 1 star I would.
This place is a hidden gem! We all had pastas and each one was amazing. The service was also wonderful. Will definitely be back to try other stuff from their menu.
Nice place ,good food and service.
Great food from the owners of Parmigiana on Yonge. We will be back.
Great food and great people!! And great veggie/seafood options too if you dont eat meat or have restrictions. I tried the salmon fettucine, delicious, and pizza was awesome. also tried the bruschetta for apps. favourite italian restaurant now! thanks again! will be back for sure.
If you are in search of Italian comfort food, with attentive, kind and unobtrusive service in a warm and casual environment look no further. Great salad, egg plant parm, chicken parm and vegetables. Desserts are small but tasty. Perfect night out. Will definitely be back.
Miguels service was fantastic. Perfect Italian neighborhood joint. Quality food, fair prices, good vibe. Food : 5/5
We tried this restaurant as it had a 4.7 on über eats. We haven t had a decent Italian meal delivered in such a long time, until tonight! Ordered Caesar Salad, bruschetta, creamy chicken pasta, and baked chicken pasta. It came to us as if it just came out of their kitchen! 10/10 on this meal and restaurant ! Get that rating up to 4.8! Our new go to Italian restaurant for ordering in! Thank you Trattoria Di Parma
ordered the shrimp risotto and meat ravioli, both were excellent
I order pizza was too good nice one chef
I am redoing my review, as the problem with my order was with DoorDashand and not with Trattoria Di Parma. I will rectify it by reviewing the food, which was a total five star! We ordered in two dishes: a Meat Ravioli and a Tortellini Quattro Formaggio. As I already said, food was delicious, it has been awhile since I had great italian food like this. I 100% recommend Trattoria Di Parma if you are looking for some absolutely delicious italian food!
Very good food sooo delicious.
Delicious pasta, salads, and desserts. Probably the only place that we go to just for the salads.
Terrible food We wanted to like this place because it is in our community and we love Italian food. Well we still love Italian food but not from this restaurant. Not a hint of Italian authenticity could be found in the food we ordered. It would be surprising to hear that whoever owns this restaurant or does the cooking has ever even been to Italy as food prepared like this would be frowned done upon. Save your money and go elsewhere
I was drawn to this place by the simple white table cloths and the table by the fire. The vibe was chill but not messy. We went earlier on a Friday night, around 530pm. A couple other tables were occupied but not at all busy. Menu is homestyle italian at a very reasonable price and portion size. The only entree over $20 is seafood based so thats to be expected. The server was perfectly lovely and fine with the service being the same. The food. We started with the bruchetta. 4 pieces at $6. Good price point but the tomatoes were not ripe which affected the flavour; a flavour so subtle as to not be a factor. Couldnt taste any of the herbs normally associated with the dish, and the oil itself was lacking in flavour. The bread was also burnt enough to be tasted on the crusts. Will try again in case its just an off day for the dish. I had the Rigatoni with sausage, my partner the daily special. I found my pasta to need another minute in the water but can recognise thats my personal taste and the Rigatoni was cooked a nice al dente. The sauce on first taste was lacking. It was a little watery and flavours were hard to find. After it sat for a few moments and the ingredients got together, the flavour profile increased. The other pasta had the same issue. The food came out in good time but it wouldnt have been a wait if they cooked the dishes a couple min more to marry all the flavours. We also both felt the pasta itself needed more salt in the water during cooking. The daily special was seafood on pasta in a garlic and (I think pesto but she might have said basil) sauce but she modified it to an Alfredo. The seafood was cooked well, good flavour. She liked how her pasta was cooked but agreed the pasta water needed salting. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, sitting at a window seat watching life on The Danforth go by. We will be back for a second go around as affordable Italian is not easy to come by around the Danforth. Will update then.
Cured meats
Wait staff was super helpful and timely. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
Great food, great prices. Been there for both eat in and pickup. Pickup super easy and fast.
From Oct 2021. Friendly service but meals were lacking in flavour and were uninteresting.
Amazing food with great service. I got chicken campagnia and it was absolute delicious. The quantity and the authenticity of Italian food was there. The place is clean and good spot for date nights. My husband and I loved it.
Vegetarian options: Available
We were pleasantly surprised recently when we stumbled across this Trattoria while searching online for a date night destination. We were greeted by April who greeted us at the door and seated us promptly. We ordered white wine before placing our food order. We ordered the caprese salad, lemon veal and the special if the day which was seafood pasta including lobster, shrimp and scallops. The food was awesome as was the service. We highly recommend this Ristorante for a night out if good food at a reasonable price. Salute!
Excellent? But we have missed the white table cloths.
Fast. Eggplant Parmigiana, creamy chicken, rigatoni all good. Fried calamari not so good.
I dont recommend it, the food was bad for us and the taste of the pasta is not that good.
Ordered pepperoni pizza ($11), bruschetta ($6 for 4 pieces) and shrimp carbonara ($18) for take-out. The prices were fair, and so were the portion sizes. The food itself was okay! Pepperoni pizza was thin crust and crispy, and basic. The bruschetta, was also okay. Tomatoes with a bit of chopped herb. A bit of salt or acidity wouldve been nice! And the shrimp carbonara was actually shrimp in a lemon cream sauce, not an authentic carbonara. Overall good! Would come again and try some other items on the menu.
This place opened in the pandemic, and really has a great atmosphere and service. The prices are fair, and I would reccomend anyone in the neighbourhood give it a try. It could use some love, and is a little too quiet! Highly reccomend. Get the caprese salad!
Was delicious! Had the chicken pizza which was a good individual size and the vegan pasta which was super flavourful (if you dont like garlic this one isnt for you!) and is two portions or one really big one. Guy on the phone was really nice and it was ready in 20 minutes. Will definitely order again.
I tried the chicken parmigiana here and it came with some fresh vegetables and potatoes. The chicken tasted very fresh and juicy, the breading was nice and crispy and the cheese + tomato sauce was perfect. The owner was really nice and even gave me a complimentary chocolate cake dessert which topped everything off nicely. Definitely check this place out if you like Italian food.
Friendly people and delicious food. We were in need of a mothers hug and this place nailed it. Perfect pasta and the chicken parm was unbelievable.
Good food and great service.
Very good value/big servings and very good food!
Amazing!!! Ordered the pizza, eggplant parm, grilled calamari, lemon chicken, and Caesar salad and were all unbelievable. Great portion sizes and great staff! You can truly taste how authentic everything is. Will definitely be back
Delicious food! Caesar salad, eggplant parmesan, totally rocking cannelloni, grilled calamari.... and very quick-footed work too! We are very sure to be back for more. Thanks Di Parma!!!
Delicious food! Will definitely come back for more.
The omega salad is the best!
Great spot and love it every time we order! Portions are huge and very delicious. Great value for your $ especially if you re feeding a family. Recently tried their eggplant parm dinner and fettuccine with scallops and shrimp... highly recommend!
Fantastic food for a great price! Happy to have a local Italian spot in the area. Highly recommend. Portions are generous with fresh ingredients. Will def be back!
Close to home, friendly neighborhood service and great food !
Delicious food, great portion size at great prices. I had the seafood pasta and there was so much more seafood than at other Italian restaurants, my husband raved about the chicken parmagiana and the kids loved the pizza. The people the run the restaurant are very nice to boot.
First patio restaurant meal post-pandemic! My friend and I were actually walking down Danforth to go to another restaurant but the smell from another diners food changed our plans. Joe recommended the cannelloni and he was right, its really good! The mushroom risotto is also really good, and the chocolate and salted caramel gelatos are fantastic!
The service was just so awful. First thing that comes out of the server is: No, no tables available (I think it was some sort of a joke since the patio was open but it just made me and my friend feel awkward) We are ordering but the menu is incomplete or outdated. Ok, its a new place, we get it. Drinks come in, and the wine glass was so dirty with stains. First dish comes in, the server pours all the sauce on me. Second dish comes out, there is hair. I tell the server about it and the first thing he says is that I am a liar. Overall, food was good, but served very very unprofessionally which in my case, tiped the whole experience to be horrible. Just hope the server learns some manners and the cook shaves at home not in kitchen.
Had pizza and pasta for takeout last week. Everything was yummy. Food was quick to order and ready to go for takeout. Im sure the food tastes even better when you eat at the restaurant. We had the spinach ravioli which was very tasty. We will go again!
Apparently, a trattoria is a place that serves simple food, and Parma is a city in Northern Italy that is known for its prosciutto and cheese. If thats the case, then Trattoria Di Parma is perfecty named. My wife and I took advantage of their patio and went here for dinner. We got: - Bruschetta: Soft and crunchy in all the right places. The tomatoes tasted really fresh. - Insalata di Parma: Amazing and easily the best thing we had. The prosciutto was probably one of the tastiest weve had. The bosc pears were stuffed with gorgonzola and goat cheese, which made the contrasting tastes really work well. - Linguine Gaetta: Linguini with shrimps, calamari and mussels. Generous serving of the seafood, though would have liked the sauce to have just a bit more bite. - Shrimps and Scallops Diavollo: Scallops were cooked well (not rubbery at all), but would have liked the spicy sauce to have more kick. Also, this may sound funny but Im being serious - the side roasted potatoes were really really really good. - Tiramisu: Light, airy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. - Brownie Cheesecake: a bit small for the price. That said, its heavy, sweet, food-coma-inducing goodness. Overall value was good. And last but not least, Joe was amazing - friendly vibe, quick service, gave great recommendations. Think weve found our go-to spot on the Danforth!
Weve had two very good experiences. Joe welcomed us warmly and was an excellent server--respectful, prompt and adept at anticipating our needs. He has a good sense of humour. He gave us complimentary gelato and introduced us to the chef on our first visit--a nice touch. The menu is extensive and includes several vegetarian appetizers and main courses. Our omega and misto salads were excellent--fresh and flavourful. Our shrimp and salmon main courses were also excellent; the pasta primavera was very good, but wouldve been better with more garlic. Portions for every dish were generous, though not too large. The gelato--weve tried three flavours--is very good. Wed prefer it served in a china, glass or metal container with a metal spoon (no disposables) for environmental reasons. Plus, its classier that way! The prices are reasonable. Given the above, the value for the money is excellent. Well return soon and bring friends or family!
Great food, great taste, and great staff!
Delicious, affordable Italian comfort food. The seafood and pasta dishes never disappoint. Highly, highly recommended!
My first time trying Trattoria Di Parma delicious, affordable, fast and super tasty with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!
The pasta dishes we ordered we were excellent. The shrimp were perfect, melt in your mouth. The only thing that wasn t great was the bruschetta and the cheese garlic bread, but that was so minor compared to quality of the rest of the meal. Absolutely recommend!!!
We ordered takeout tonight, one eggplant Parmigian, 1 chicken Parmigiano, 2 Caesar salads, and 1 vegetarian pizza. The chicken and eggplant dish came with side of spaghetti and veggies. The portion sizes were great and very affordable prices. Our order was delivered really fast and the food was very hot. I would order from them again and try something new. The pizza crust was really good and good quality cheese. Nice to support local businesses
The food and service where soo good did not disappoint. Had yummy vegan options too. A must go to
First time at this new Italian restaurant on the Danforth. The food and service were excellent and the prices very reasonable. Also they have an extensive menu. I would definitely go there again and recommend it to lovers of Italian food.
Delicious and affordable!
Paella was amazing. Low salt makes it perfect to actually taste all the ingredients. My fav Italian restaurant in TO.
My friend took me there for a birthday dinner. The food was excellent, the service was very good. My only complaint would be the slightly lacklustre interior design. Still, I would highly recommend this place because the food was extremely good and reasonably priced.
Cautiously prepared with all the right ingredients but little flavour. I don t think I ll have any use for the 10% off coupon for future orders that came with my take out.
Fantastic shrimp risotto. Great flavour and camel hot too
Ordered a large takeout delivery order, two days in advance via Uber. That was disastrous because of the delivery window and confusion. I was having a small gathering and if not for the great service from the restaurant, it would have been ruined. The food was very good. Home style Italian and very generous portions with high quality ingredients. The prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.
