Worst desert, salad was average

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The place was almost empty, which might suggest its lack of popularity. The prices were extremely high and the food did not meet expectations. The taste and quality of the food was comparable to what you would find in an average bar. I dont recommend it unless you dont mind overpaying for mediocre food.

Felice is the best person, best chef

Wonderful experience at Vaticano. The food was delicious, authentic and high quality. The four of us ordered pasta dishes. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauces were very flavourful. To top it all off, we had tiramisu for dessert - authentic and a generous portion size too. Service was top notch and staff were very friendly and attentive - we felt very welcome here. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic Italian cuisine, truly authentic. A hidden gem in Yorkville. The veal was incredibly tender. This place will definitely be my go-to for real Italian food, just like being in Italy.

I came to Vaticano after a few friends of mine recommended it. It s safe to say this is now my new go to spot for Italian cuisine. The staff is very friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend to try their new cocktail menu, as it is the best drinks I ve had in a while. Its in the heart of Yorkville and the perfect place for date nights, or simple dinners with friends. If you haven t checked it out yet, then ur missing out!

Felice is a phenomenal chef and a master of his craft. The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly, and the cuisine is authentic.

Vaticano is a pasta lovers dream! The pappardelle vaticanus was an absolute delight mushrooms, savory, and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was cozy, and the service top-notch. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian pasta!

***SAVE YOUR MONEY*** I was looking to celebrate my birthday with a nice meal and great atmosphere. The service was great and the decor was a bit dated. I ordered the margarita pizza and it was the worst or close to the worst pizza Ive ever had. The dough had tasted like frozen pizza, stale and dead. The appearance was not much better. For the price they charge for their food I would have expected better quality tasting food. Their pizza looks nothing like the one on their website.

So sad, food has deteriorated significantly... was there with a friend and portions were half what they were last summer and tasted like bottled carbonara sauce, white gluey tasteless sauce, I guess they have no chefs in the kitchen anymore, saw a few very young men who looked like high school students in the back. $10 for extra bacon, maybe 3 extra shreds of bacon added, and young man who said he was the manager said this what they serve now. For the first time, I visited this restaurant with a group of friends on Saturday night. This is without a doubt one of my favourite places to eat. I ordered the pizza siciliana and it was delicious. This restaurant will undoubtedly be recommended to others.

My husband and I frequent Vaticano. We love the atmosphere and the owner and staff are so polite and promptly attend to our every need. Food is amazing. Our favorites place to go for a night out!

This was the worst dining experience of my life. Visited for valentines. Was seated at a group table with another couple despite making a reservation for two people. Appetizer salad took 40 mins. Main course took over two hours and never arrived. We walked out at 10pm without food. I cannot give a stronger recommendation against this restaurant.

We had a reservation for 8:30 we weren t seated until 10pm the only reason we stayed is because there a perset menu that we paid for, the restaurant was clearly under staff, they gave no explanation as to what was going, we asked for a refund for the preset we paid for and we re completely ignored will not be visiting this restaurant ever again

Terrible customer service & sub par food.. I never leave bad reviews but. here we are! Had reservations at 8 and got in right away, waited 20 minutes just to order a drink. asked for a moment for the menu & they didn t come back for 45 minutes. didn t get our starter until after our appetizers which also didn t come for over an hour. ordered more drinks and the waitress had to come back and ask what we ordered 4 times. took another hour for our mains and second glass of wine. after we ate we got our bill (which was already prepaid) and didn t even finish our meal.. worst experience i ve had..

Place is nice. There was not enough menu, took almost an hour to get a menu another hour to get the food. The food was bad. Pasta overcooked. I asked pasta with lobster, I couldnt eat the lobster was tasting bad, I was afraid to get sick after eat it. 2.5 hours inside a place that has the wall covered with photos of famous people and the food so sad and bad and not enough staff. Just to waist your time or money.

We loved our lunch! The chef is very sweet, friendly and an excellent chef! Everything is produced in house. From the bruschetta bread, which is delicious, the pasta with spicy tomato sauce, also delicious, to the chocolate pie, one of the best Ive ever eaten in my life! Oh! We ordered calamari with salad and it was also very well done. Vegetarian options: The pastas are delicious. The bruschetta too. Everything is made by the chef himself and his son. From the bread to the chocolate pie for dessert, which is divine! Kid-friendliness: There are pastas and the atmosphere is very cozy and familiar.

The food was pretty bad like most of the reviews say. Just frozen boxed food warmed up. Very very disappointed as the prices are priced as it s fresh in house made stuff. Ordered a pasta Carbonero. It was brutally bad over cooked pasta and just tasted horrible. It s a shame we had high hopes for date night. It s definitely a cool place inside and it s got a wicked view in a cool area we had high hopes but left really disappointed. The only reason it s not a 1 star review is because the service was absolutely amazing the lady serving us (I forget her name) was really nice ***update as the owner replied. We spent $150 and left the waitress a very nice tip. Not sure why you think we were sent by someone? Shows how professional and pathetic this place is. Your appetizers are frozen. Instead of trying to fix a situation you ban me. Don t you worry I had no intention of coming back. Had to move to a 1 star review as the owner has no customer service skills. Wow. This place was AMAZING. The food came out in great time and was nothing less than absolutely delicious. Went here for a date and our server was kind and extremely friendly. My boyfriend and I could of drank the pasta sauce and mussel broth with a straw, it was that good. Will be back regularly.

If I could give lower then a 1 star I would.. Possibly the worst restaurant I have ever Stepped foot in. Where to start In all honesty if this doesn t put you off nothing will. THE FOOD CAME OUT FROZEN! Not defrosted and fresh out the freezer. If frozen food and long wait times is your thing then this is the place for you. the pizza was a ready made one, not home made in the slightest and the food still took way over an hour to come.. Not entirely sure the staff knew what they were doing either!

Came for a group lunch and the food arrived at different times (salad after the pizzas?) So the hot foods cooled/pizza crust hardened while waiting for the remaining meals to arrive. The salad itself was raw celery, onions, watery tomatoes and some beans in olive oil- for $16! Also no bread offered for the table, which is normally common at an Italian establishment. Finally, our server was friendly enough, but the service was extremely slow for a weekday lunch downtown. I only tipped because I was with a group and didnt want to seem stingy, but honestly wish I hadnt. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are so many better options in the area!

Ruined Mother s Day Lunch We had an awful experience at this restaurant for Mother s Day. The restaurant had two other guests dining (so not busy) and our food took a lot longer to come out. The pesto was very salty and tasted like the pesto went bad. The bruschetta was just over toasted bread with plain tomato (no basil or any seasonings). They brought out the wrong pizza order for us and it was just overall a very bad experience. If a restaurant in Yorkville is empty on Mother s Day, it s probably not good. Learned this for next time.

Wonderful service by all the staff present, massive thunderstorm blew through and they moved us inside from their patio. I had the veal marsala and havent tasted anything like that since precovid in Italy. A lovely meal to end a lovely day.

First time here, and absolutely great food and staff

I very rarely write bad reviews - but this was THE worst restaurant experience Ive ever had. The only good thing about this restaurant was the location and the fact that they had a patio. First and foremost, the food and drinks were expensive and yet nothing to brag about. I had a dish which I was believe called the Penne Cleopatra. It was supposed to be a smoked salmon penne. There was a tiny piece of salmon in it, and then I tasted no salmon at all. It was just a very mediocre penne with rose sauce and 4 pieces of spinach (in short, something a student would make on a budget. At this restaurant... this dish was $24). I ordered a red sangria with it - I tasted no alcohol, and all orange juice for $16! It looked like a Bloody Mary and tasted like Tropicana. One of us had such a bad margarita we sent it back. The service was laughable... No...abysmal. Our server first came around to take our orders after we had waited for a while and neglected to tell us that an ITALIAN restaurant did not have any pizza available in addition to several other menu items. He then refused to start any of our orders (including drinks) before everyone in the group was ready even though some of us were not planning to order pizza and were ready. He then came back half an hour later and blamed us for taking a long time to think of an order (again HE was the one who didnt tell us half the menu was unavailable to begin with). In general service took a very long time (but in fairness they were short staffed so Im giving them the benefit of the doubt here). But I did notice that several tables left without ordering, or left when things took too long. There were a lot of very unhappy customers who didnt get the right order either. At the end of this experience, despite every cell in my body knowing that this place did not at all deserve a tip, I still gave a small tip instead of no tip. Before I paid, the server gave a full story about how nothing was his fault - even more than anything I was disappointed at this lack of customer service or just manners. When he saw that I gave a small tip he looked back as he walked away and gave me a sarcastic, you didnt have to do that. I do want to say that the host who was escorting people to their tables was trying his absolute best - I didnt get his name, but it was his second day on the job and I had no issues with him (he had a black ponytail and a tattoo in case management sees this). Needless to say, I wont be coming here again, and I do not recommend this place.

I had a terrible experience at Vatican. The food was not good and the service was poor. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. My drink tasted nothing like a margarita. Just some concentrated lime juice, with garam masala on the rim and no ice. Customer service was poor.

I usually dont write reviews but I wouldnt want others to waste their money here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The service and food were terrible. We went there on a Thursday evening around 8pm. The restaurant didnt appear to be busy. 2 couples on the patio, and a group of ?5-6 inside. We sat on the patio, it took about 15 minutes to get the food menu and water then another 30 minutes to get the cocktail menu, so about 45 minutes before we ordered. When we ordered food, I asked the server if I could see the wine menu. He told me no he wasnt getting me one, and the two options were red and white and he could recite it to me, and that was it. When the food came another 50 minutes after we ordered, we received what I would call the biggest embarrassment to authentic Italian pizza. Caesar salad was like bagged salad from the supermarket definitely not worth $16.The Sicilian & Parma pizzas we ordered were cold, the tomato sauce looked like it had sat out on the crust and wasnt fresh, the crust was hard, yet over done and not edible. The Sicilian pizza had four single slices of onion and not cooked salami. I rather spend $5.00 and grab a slice from a generic pizza place then waste money on garbage. The food was absolutely disgusting. To top it off when we got the bill it was $86.00, the sever said its okay if you dont want to tip me This was honestly the worst dining experience Ive ever had. The service is rude the food is absolute garbage. Dont waste your time and money at this place.

Wow what an experience! This looks like any other restaurant in Yorkville. However upon entering, there seems to be a certain charm that is distinguishable from the rest of the competition and youre made to feel as though youre in Rome. The pasta was made fresh and the steak delectable. It did take a little more time , as all restaurants of quality do, just so they get it right. Then came dessert. A varied choice with each of us having indulged in each others selection It should be mentioned their wine menu was extensive and our choice (we had a sommelier as part of our party) was a perfect accompaniment. This is a place where we will return , sooner rather than later.

We asked for table of two and first thing one of the staff told us was 18% tip is compulsory !!!! Worst then that, At the end he asked for our phone number. In firstt place i said we are good but he(I guess he was from Shri Lanka) was continuously asking for it- like 2,3 times I mean what kind of service they are providing Very disappointed, do not recommended at all

To the fabulous vaticano team, this is Joe(a regular customer). As usual the food is exceptional!! Had the spaghetti alla Carbonara the other night,the cream sauce was perfect! Tasted like the pasta I ate in Italy!! The ambiance at Vaticano is great,with friendly service and good prices!! Wide selection of good wines,or mixed drinks. Its always a funvibe down Yorkville!

Bad customer service

Superb. The food took a little longer but, quality always does. Everything was very good and fresh. The prices were moderate and surprisingly so as we expected it to be more expensive. The tiramisu.. outstanding !

The food was very salty and so was the server.

First time was fine (lunch, we were the only patrons), the second time was horrible. Took my sister and her family when they visited Toronto and it was such a mistake. The service was average. The food was terrible - her pasta was over-salted (literally like someone forgot they had added salt before) and the revised dish tasted like theyd just rinsed and sent back. Salmon was dry with precisely 5 potato pieces given as vegetables. Everyones dishes lacked any flavour. Food court wouldve been a better choice. No offer of a complimentary dessert or at least removing the over-salted dish from the bill. Had to keep searching for the server (we were a table of 6 people so hard to miss) but no luck. What a waste of a vacation dinner. Please dont go there.

Great italian food and truly authentic. A real hidden gem in yorkville. I had the veal and it was melt in your mouth and would highly recommend the prepared in house cheesecake for dessert. Really happy and will be my go to place for real italian food cause was just like my trips to Italy. BRAVO Parking: Green P paid parking was less than a block and best place.

I never write reviews but this place is horrible. Ordered a vegetarian pasta and they put pork in it. We had asked the server multiple times is this pasta veg and he said yes. Our remake came and the pasta was undercooked and sauce was bland. Mojitos and Shirly temples tastes so watered down and bland, had to get them remade also. Cutlery on the table was dirty and we spent 10 minutes trying to get a new clean cutlery. Save your money and go to other places downtown.

I took a hot date here, but the food wasnt so hot. The service was friendly but slow, and neither one of us was impressed with our pizzas.

Food was bland and arrived cold. Not impressed.

The food was good and our waiter was lovely but my friend ordered the foccacia and when it came, the bread was clearly not foccacia. When she asked about it, they took it back, cut the crusts off and told us that it had come straight from the oven when it was no warmer than when we originally got it. She was refunded for the order, but it would have been better if the kitchen had simply said they were out of foccacia rather than hoping we wouldnt know the difference between foccacia and a regular oval loaf.

I came to Vaticano restaurant now, after one year of restrictions, and I met here excellent service and food, like before Covid. I would like recommend this friendly place,to everyone. Igor

My boyfriend and I have been coming to Vaticano for years, and we will continue to come back because of the wonderful service, atmosphere, and of course, the *incredible* food. Every employee is so warm and attentive, and Felice is a king~ Everything on the menu is exceptional, but my personal favourite is the Agnolotti Alla Sasha 10 stars out of 5! Xo

We had a very good dinner, a super nice Argentinian guy recommended dishes that we could share and a very good red wine. The delicious tiramisu made by him, Antea will surely return to when she returns to Spain.

Unfortunately, my family and I had an unpleasant experience attempting to dine here. Myself, my wife, daughter, and our Maltese pup were given a table on the patio, however it was not in a very high traffic area. We asked first the staff member about if restaurant is pet friendly and she said yes. The patio links with that of another restaurant. There was an instance when a diner with dogs was seating at the other restaurant patio, and her dogs and mine briefly barked at each other. We ordered our meals, then a member of staff approached our table and told us that a complaint had been made about our dog, and for us to do something about it. If there is friendly pet area why complain . We decided that we were no longer going to stay and dine. From the very start, we were unsure about our seating arrangement. We expressed our concern for it being a high traffic area and our dog. We were given no other options. Our dining experience here was unpleasant to say the least.

Extremely slow service. The waiter looked like he wasnt good at managing his time and the patio wasnt busy. He looked overwhelmed and again the patio when we were there wasnt busy. Drinks came out quick but food didnt. We ordered pizza that took an hour and we had to flag down another worker to place our main because our server wasnt coming and we had our menus folded for a while, like we are ready to order. We ordered the Gorgonzola Pizza and it wasnt good. The dough was weird and just not good and the toppings were in the centre and so much dry bread with nothing on it; wasted half pizza because just dry bread. Because service was so slow we only ordered the gnocchi after pizza to split; that was a ok, thankfully. We were going to order the lamb chops but passed because of service. Id highly recommend to train your staff better. I saw and heard frustration at other tables too so it wasnt just us that felt very disappointed with Vaticanos. That was my first and only time ill eat at this restaurant. I dont recommend it.

Amazing food and welcoming staff! We had an absolutely wonderful evening. Outdoor dining is fantastic and the kindest waiter ushered us inside the moment there was a tiny bit of rain absolutely no interruption to our perfect date. Can t wait to come back only wish we d saved room for dessert.

Extremely disappointing experience. Servers were based. We seen 3 families arrive after us and were served before us. Bread was served only to the VIP. Waited over an hour for a pizza. Paying around $30 for pizza with dry sausage and a small pinch of cheese is criminal. Service and quality has decreased significantly.

We came between kitchen closing in preparation for dinner. The manager was kind enough to open kitchen for us to eat. Had two pizzas and fries. Pizza very good. Fries overcooked but we appreciated the service which was quick and friendly.

The service was great but the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. Mussels were inedible (raw, too salty, no bread), salad was wilted (no dressing, cukes and tomatoes missing), pastas/ fettuccine alfredo (not from the menu) was cooked properly. Price? $$$$$ Ouch!

Had the Caprese Salad and Funghi Alla Griglia. The food was delicious especially with a cold glass of Pino. Our server looked frazzled. A bit of customer service fine tuning would help. Also the jazz quartet performing on the stairs was absolutely SUPER!!!

Absolutely filthy restaurant, sadly this use to be so good but wow it s gone so down, the food was terrible, time to close up this iconic Yorkville spot. Obviously the owners have moved on to other things. Friday night and only 2 other tables in the restaurant! I see why please someone clean this filthy dirty place.

Nice vibe and calming music which I appreciated. However food left me still very hungry and service was painfully slow. Over an hour to get 3 dishes. Overall disappointed.

If you are willing to wait you will be rewarded with amazing food. Price point is in tune with yorkville, yet the portions are generous. Would recommend

We came for dinner this weekend and I must say it was phenomenal. One of the best authentic, Italian dinners I have had in my life. Staff was super kind and friendly. I highly recommend Vaticano; it s a must try in Toronto!

The place was very nice and cozy, the chef and servers were very polite and warm. The food wasn t so good thoughts. We paid about 45$ per person, had four appetizers (leak soup, rice ball, gloria salad, and artichoke) in addition to margarita pizza and mushroom ravioli. Between the appetizers, the artichoke was good, the soup was fine, but the gloria had a unpleasant bitterness to it, and the rice ball was very mediocre (stuffing it with a higher quality cheese and more vegetables or a nice sauce would have made it better). About the main dishes, I expect to have an authentic margarita pizza at an Italian restaurant which has light crust with raised edges , a special sauce, and high quality cheese, non of which were present in their pizza. The pizza was similar to what you can get at a mediocre restaurant. The ravioli s stuff and sauce was good but the pasta did not feel fresh to me. Overall I expected a better food experience for spending 45$/person. Again the staff and chef were very friendly.

If you want to have a great dinner night, this is not a place to go. We ordered the carbonara pasta and the gorgonzola pizza. The pasta was way too salty so we had to reorder again. (even though we asked to redo it but it was still too salty to eat). The pizza was just average. The server was nice but the service was TOO SLOW.

We had the best evening last night with friends we all havent seen for a long time. The food was mostly good, my pizza was very mediocre but my friend loved their meals....pastas and cod. The salad dressing needed salt and the wine is very overpriced for a general list wine....house pinot grigio is $9.95 in the general list....$60 in this restaurant. This made me take a star away. That is robbery...pure and simple....Our waiter was really fun but should have been to the table more often and sooner to take our orders. I would go back for sure, next time for pasta and I will not be ordering wine....

We were group of 6 celebrating friend s birthday and Felice (the super Chef) and his crew were amazing!!! Friendly servers and very talented chef served truly Italian delicious feasts! Thank you guys!!!

Had a great dinner for my partners graduation. We were the only ones there but it was still a lovely time! Damien our server was great and the food was the best! Best gnocchi Ive ever had!! You gotta get it with the 4 cheese sauce! Ill definitely be back!!!!

We walked in when another restaurant fell through hoping to get a table. It was busy but Damian found us a table and made us feel so welcomed and was an absolute delight. The food was spectacular but the service was what won my heart. Thank you for making the night very special.

The service was disgusting. The food took forever to come and they didn t know how to split bills. It took 50 minutes for them to tell us they didn t know how to split a bill. The food isn t good either. Do not go here.

Without a doubt this was one of the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had. The service was terrible. Very slow. It took us almost an hour to get our food despite having to ask several times what was taking so long for very simple orders There was no more soup by 8pm which didn t matter because neither waitress knew what it was. We had to ask for bread and water refills. The wine order was mixed up but thankfully replaced. They were out of lasagna by 8pm as well. The pasta portions were very small and more like a side dish than dinner entre. Extra pancetta was scant and did not warrant the extra charge of $10 which was no where on the menu or disclosed by the waitress.We had to ask three times for our bill. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would never go there again. We weren t the only dinners who complained. The manager s response was unsatisfactory. He said there was nothing he could do about our complaints. Over priced and bad service.

Just finished a meal food was delicious and arrived within about 25 minutes. I ordered the pepperoni app to share with my wife as well as the pappardelle vaticanus and bolognese. The service was outstanding and they have a great vintages amaromes highly recommend

Highly recommend this spot supper cute vibe, a well done rustic vibe I would say. Servers were welcoming and comforting, felt like home if you d ask me. I found vaticano on OpenTable and they do not disappoint their pasta are to die for. Their wines are well priced as well, definitely bringing my husband for Christmas. Thx OpenTable haha

I ve dined in and done take out a few times from here, mainly on special occasions. I actually was a huge fan at first and loved the quality of the food but found the more often I went, I watched the quality as well as the service almost plummet which is very sad.

The worst restaurant experience I have ever had. After being seated it took 10 minutes to get waters. The server took our food orders 25 minutes after being seated. They did not have drink menus, and refused to tell us what drinks were available. The food arrived an hour and forty five minutes after being ordered and the restaurant staff did not acknowledge this or apologize.

We ordered dinner at Vaticano restaurant, the food was exactly like I ordered in Italy, and the delivery was fast and everything was delicious thank you.

Vaticano Restaurant is the most amazing experience that I have had in Yorkville: a variety of authentic Italian recipes and remarkable friendliness. I do suggest this one of the kind places to be an absolute choice, enjoying their patio when re-opening soon.

Vaticano is my favourite place to dine and take out. What u love about vaticano take out is very good with very good portion and I always have extra food leftover for my snack or for the next day! I recommend vaticano to take out and when everything opens I suggest to go to vaticano first.

I m soooo in love with this place, honestly, this is the best Italian food in whole Ontario! The waitress Damian and Luca are such amazing people, they make me feel I am their friend! And the chef is fantastic! The food is amazing! If you wanna eat authentic Italian food this is the right place! Thank you guys for making our night so wonderful!

I was walking in yorkville looking for a new place to try. I walked in asked for a table for 1 person. The server wasn t friendly. Said give me a minute than 2 seconds later he says I only have a table for 4 people. Than I said okay so you have no table for me? He s like not at the moment. Mind you he didn t even check to see what s available. I said okay no problem I ll go somewhere else. He s like okay take care. As I walk out I literally see 3 unoccupied tables for 2 that needed to be clean. And yess one table for 4 that was cleaned. So I guess I ll never come back to give this place a try, due to this experience alone. L

Absolutely Spectacular Dinner Experience - Had the Gloria salad to start - Warm radicchio salad with Portobello mushrooms, caramelized onion, topped With goat cheese and aged balsamic dressing - incredibly delicious and when served warm - a delight! My wife had the Cesare salad which was perfectly prepared with home made croutons and Romaine lettuce, Parmigiano and pancetta. The Caesar dressing was pure perfection. Main course was Fettuccine Aragosta - Pasta with lobster tail in a light truffle cream sauce - brilliant, delectable, memorable and oh so perfectly el dente! My better half enjoyed the Agnolotti alla Sasha - Stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese, in a truffle cream sauce which was profoundly flavourful - we asked for more bread to sop up every morsel of sauce. So good you want to lick the plate!

Waited 7 minutes before we were acknowledged and they were not busy. Finally sat down and order within 5 minutes.... 45 minutes later we still dont have any food and they told us it would be another 10-15 min so we left. First and last experience there.

Wow waited a long time to be served the sangria was excellent I ordered one of the pasta dishes and my mom she didn t eat it was terrible I will not return to this location. There are nicer Italian restaurant that are better!

Best Italian restaurant I ve ever been too in Canada. Just woah. I genuinely don t know where to start. From the food, too the service, the atmosphere and the amazing hospitality from the chef/owner Feliche. 10/10 would recommend. I had the lamb chops and penne and man it did me good! Don t forget to order tiramisu and espresso!!!! Best Italian food in Canada hands down !!!! If your debating on where to go tonight, stop debating and head here you will NOT regret it!!!!

Prepare to be unimpressed. VERY SLOW service it took about 40+ minutes for our diner to arrive (although the restaurant was not busy at all). Pizza crust was over done. Arancini tasted bland and unappetizing. The bread service contained what seemed like stale bread. On the positive side Pollo Parmigiana was quite good, the serving portion was large and pasta sauce tasted good. This was our first & last visit to Vaticano.

Best place in Yorkville. Makes me feel at home. The food is to die for.

Nice little restaurant, patio space on a very busy and trendy yorkville area walking street. Foods are very much classic Italian, good portion size. I especially recommend the suppli and calamari.

Really slow service, we waited more than an hour for a bad pizza, I can say the worst I had in a long time. After reminding them we have been waiting for a long time just to order, they brought bread for us that was not fresh at all. Never going back.

We visited our daughter at UofT this evening and walked to get some dinner ending up at Vaticano in Yorkville. We had a fantastic dinner together with delicious pizza as an appetizer and amazing entrees. Mine in particular was so good - ravioli fungi along with my half litre of the house Pinot Grigio. Will definitely return next time!!

Amazing service, but what really stood out was the food. I had the Siciliano pizza, gnocchi Quattro frommagi, and the pappardelle bolognese, and every single dish was to die for. Highly recommend.

Wonderful cozy ambience & delicious authentic Italian food! The wait can be longer than usual on busy days, sometimes up to an hour. However, the food is worth it, and all of the servers are very down to earth, kind & hospitable.

Great attentive service and old style Italian hospitality. Chef came out to present the meal which was excellent. Authentic carbonara, parm and grilled veg.

Since moving into the area 12 years ago, I have been going to Vaticano on a regular basis. I could rave about so many things but the people and delicious food are the main reasons I keep going back. Felice, the owner, is always wonderful to me and all my guests that I bring with me. He makes time to talk to me no matter how busy he is. I have so many wonderful memories but most recently we had a team dinner and Damian, our chef, made our night one we wont ever forget. Thank you to the entire Vaticano Family for being always the best hosts and for keeping us fed and happy for so many years. See you next week!!

My wife and I stopped here on a Sunday night just over an hour before closing. The chef and staff made us feel very welcome and, since we had never been there before, made some suggestions on what we should order. I had the Penne Cleopatra and it was fantastic. The portion size was large and the house-made pasta was cooked perfectly. The price was also very good considering the quality of the food and the location. Great food and awesome hospitality!

We were celebrating a friends birthday. Its heaven for fish lovers, though we did enjoy some splendid meat balls in marinara sauce. Gnocchi and lasagna was equally scrumptious. However, I did not enjoy the pizza. I wouldnt suggest that. It coul be because am not much of a pizza lover.

Delicious food, special requests were also taken into account. Service was also great unfortunately the portions of the lasagna were very small.

Finally a restaurant with a extensive menu..and excellent wine list! I have been going to this restaurant since forever. It is a Yorkville s must go! Try the gloria salad, the seafood pasta and, off course tiramisù! You can also seat at the bar and watch the game!

Such an amazing experience! Was there on Friday with my sisters & colleague and we were treated like gold!! Highly recommend!!

My wife used to work there in the kitchen and she says there were a lot of cockroaches in ingredients inside the flour and every where. and there is no hygiene there.
