Vinoteca Pompette Restaurant in Toronto

My wife and I had a lovely celebration dinner at Vinoteca Pompette. This was our second time dining at Pompette, and we will absolutely be back. The cocktails were delightful and interesting (highly recommend the Grapefruit Milk Punch, which although is on the NA menu, our server fulfilled our request to make it boozy, and recommended gin). We tried a number of dishes, but the major standouts were the Parisian Gnocchi - which are incredibly soft and delicate - and the Duck Breast, which was substantial and perfectly done. A special shoutout to the Sommelier, also, who provided phenomenal wine and digestif recommendations, and passionately talked us through the origins and tasting notes. A really fantastic dining experience, cant wait to return!

Great food, ravioli was decent but overly saturated in butter. The duck was amazing! Only thing I felt was distasteful was the service. Our server was lovely and kind throughout but there was definitely a bit of a pissed off vibe because we started our dinner late. Firstly, groups of 3-5 are allowed 2.5 hrs of eating time. As long as someone in the group has secured the table, we are allowed to start late or at whatever time we want as long as it is within the 2.5 hr window. Our table didn t eat until an hour after our start time but we made sure to eat and leave in under 1.5 hrs. Still, the server was brisk with us and the owner made sure to say hi to everyone and all the people in the restaurant except our table. everyone in our group noticed and it sucks how stuck up the establishments vibe is giving off. we spent a decent amount of money as well, no hey, no how are you, deliberately leaving us alone. Lastly, the crowd is relatively older and we were clearly younger so maybe that didn t help. But just because we are younger, doesn t mean the treatment should be different. Our money goes a long way too. Don t think i ll be back and the rest of the group agreed. Being friendly goes a long way. Very snotty and my money could ve went somewhere else. not happy with what i spent and how we were treated. Please do better, people notice everything when dining.

5 Stars for the food. Zero complaints. Superb! Drinks are also super unique and delicious. Only issue is, we noticed a bit of a rude and unwelcoming attitude at this establishment. Went with a group of friends and I didn t notice anything until 2 friends pointed out some discrepancies throughout the night. Not sure why but servers and manager was pretty unwelcoming to us compared to the other tables. I didn t notice until towards the end of the night but quite literally nobody looked our way, nobody said goodbye or even a smile on the way out. Took our bill and tips and went to the back which was a slap in the face. I had one of the best desserts ever at this place but wow. That was weird. I wouldn t rule out this place just yet, would def come back. But does it hurt to be kind? Or even fake a smile? At the price point of the restaurant, definitely needs to up the customer service. Overall, don t let my review sway anyone coming here.

Excellent restaurant with a great wine selection and a very interesting Italian/French fusion menu. Every item we had from the menu was delicious, it was three of us and all agreed that everything was excellent (we all shared several plates). Already decided to go back to taste whatever we did not have this time. Not cheap, not overly expensive but highly recommended.

An exceptional experience. Went here for our anniversary dinner and it truly couldn t have been better.

2 of us came in at 7:00pm on a Friday night, there was about 10-15 seats vacant at the bar. We asked to sit but host said they have reservations coming within the hour. I let him know that we are just here for 1-2 drinks and we can ensure we leave before the reservations. Host repeated multiple times to use that his is a restaurant and we can not order just drinks. We need to order food because this is a restaurant . I ve never been at a restaurant where I wasn t allowed to sit at the bar and order just a cocktail. For more context: Bar Pompette, next door, was closed for renovations.

We had a wonderful dinner here. Very welcoming and warm service. The food was sophisticated and beautifully prepared. The papardelle was spectacular. Fantastic wine selection and cocktails. We appreciated the atmosphere--casual yet sophisticated and friendly.

Amazingly diverse menu! We had 7-8 items, all of which were very tasty, good portions and the wine pairing was spot on for all dishes.

The food was mediocre at best. Portions were small. Duck was subpar. Ravioli disappointed. Octopus was small. We ordered 5 dishes and not a single one impressed. The food also didn t sit well in my stomach. Had significant abdominal discomfort later that night and had to throw up. Huge disappointment. Wouldn t recommend at all. Not to mention, overpriced for the quality.

Amazing wine, diner and service!

We had the most amazing experience at Vinoteca Pompette. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. Jonathan, the owner took excellent care of us and paired some great wines with our dinner. After dinner, he introduced us to Hugo and team at Bar Pompette and we continued our night there with some well crafted cocktails and excellent company. Be sure to check it spot out - I highly recommend it.

Great food amazing location and atmosphere, very kind staff

Genuinely one of the best, most thoughtful dining experiences I have had in quite awhile. The atmosphere is chic and cozy. They sat us at the bar and the seating was very comfortable. Their decor on the walls is all of their signature cocktails, which I thought was a nice touch. My husband ordered their specialty pistachio Negroni. Im not normally a Negroni fan; theyre too bitter. This one was so smooth and almost tasted like chocolate that I found myself drinking it too. For an appetizer, we split the pistachio tuna crudo. Amazing. Truly melted in your mouth. Came with five bite-sized pieces to split. We were looking for a lighter appetizer, so this was perfect for us. My husband ordered the Cavetelli of the moment for dinner which included a grilled corn. He loved it and said it was delicious. I couldnt decide between the squash ravioli with brown butter and the Parisian style gnocchi, but ultimately decided on the squash. It was to die for. Not too sweet, very light and flavorful. We asked for wine recommendations with our dinner and they found us the perfect white and red pairings for both dishes. Our server was so, so thoughtful and kind and also brought a taste of the gnocchi for us to try because I was so torn. I was blown away by the gesture (and the gnocchi). Those gnocchi were incredible. Light and fluffy as pillows and so flavorful. So good!! For dessert, we split a delicious tiramisu. They also brought the honey glazed vanilla ice cream for us to split as we were celebrating my husbands birthday. An amazing dining experience from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back the next time were in Toronto.

Delicious ravioli dauphiné with comté cheese and tiramisu. They also have a large side patio as well.

Pretty much the worst dinner we ve had in the neighbourhood. Can not accommodate dietary restrictions, although they say they can. Octopus was inedible, tough & chewy. Brought a gluten free guest a salad with croutons. Salad had a pool of dressing at the bottom of the bowl. When things went south with the food, server avoided the table. Really disappointing because we live around the corner, it s a pretty restaurant and we were hoping it would be part of our regular rotation. Nope.

An incredible dining experience from start to finish! The quality of the food AND service was absolutely top notch. The price point is fair for what you get and the serving staff were lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend!

Had the best dinner! We booked for the patio it was raining so instead of kicking us to the curb the host was so amazing that he saved seats for us at the bar. Amazing service, drinks, and the wine selection was 10/10. The food was amazing please make sure to get the risotto! Thank you ! :)

Went for the first time tonight after opening and we were blown away. Highly recommend the mussels, ravioli, burger, and the gorgeous ice cream (to name a few). Such a lovely team, super knowledgeable and accommodating, an all around great experience.

Very disappointed by the experience. The food looked pretty but tasted very very very bland Scallops were ok. The burrata verde was absolutely flavorless. The Gnocchi was highly recommended by a friend, but when we tried it - it was way too greasy, wasn t seasoned correctly, and almost seemed undercooked? I felt nauseous afterward I rarely leave reviews, much less negative ones. But we had high expectations based on the reviews and thought it would be a highlight for our night - instead we walked out of the restaurant feeling disappointed and thinking our money would ve be better spent on literally anything else... Don t know what happened in the kitchen. But if this is the standard for food here I would advice all my friends to stay away from ever visiting

Its great, and the menu is not fixed and will be updated regularly. I look forward to tasting better food next time.

Cocktails were amazing. We ordered the lobster rolls and tuna for starter. Food quality is good but I find that the bread is a little over cooked. Tuna dish has a good mix but not as impressed as we expected. The restaurant has a special scallop dish and it looked amazing but we didn t order. For the main we ordered the duck and this is what I highly recommend. Very decent portion for two and taste really good. In terms of wine selection by the glasses is limited but they do offer a good options of bottles. For desert, we had the chocolate sphere. It was ok and I wish they have good coffee instead of nespresso. Overall, I would rate this place solid 3 stars.

The service was terrible and the meat was stale

The Beef Wellington and the crème caramel were decent. Some of the food were too salty, especially the lobster gnocchi. Salad wasn t fresh. Our main server wasn t very attentive but other staff were friendly and professional.

Tried the home made bread, crab tartlet and the Sole Meuniere All three were very good and would recommend. The tartlet was delicious but quite small. Will come back on Sunday to try the Wellington

Been many times. Atmosphere, service, wines are all great. Early on, the food was very special and worth the premium. I m not sure what s up with the kitchen and menu, but the last few visits were really disappointing. When on its game, Pompette is lovely. When off, yikes it stings when the bill arrives.

Not sure what the hype is all about - the food is ok, nothing to really rave about. The staff / service was great, the patio is nice but the chairs are just cheap and uncomfortable plastic- they really should have some padding added for more comfort. The cocktails are also nice.

Best food we had in Toronto.

Food was rushed and then ironically cold. Then when it came to the bill they disappeared . And it was not busy. Felt like a generic French place in which there are many. Too bad, I read some nice things.

This place had been mentioned by friends as having good French food, so when a houseguest wanted to take us out, we tried it. The prices we saw on the menu were a surprise and not in a good way. The first courses were around $25, the mains around $50. The cheapest bottle of wine was around $90. Our friend ended up paying about $500 for three (including tax and tip). We apologized and resolved to do more research before suggesting another restaurant.

Superb staff. Appetizers and mains were exceptional. The potatoes were worthy of seconds. Dessert were uneven but you would probably be too full to need them.

Wow! Incredible evening, 10/10. We decided to celebrate my birthday here and Jerome helped with an amazing wine choice, cocktails and lovely conversation. The food was amazing, especially the beef cheek and gnocchi. We cant wait to return.

We had a fabulous evening celebrating a birthday at Pompette yesterday. The cocktails were great (our favourite was the green punch) and the food was fantastic (the desserts are divine). What truly made our experience memorable, however, was the incredible service we received. Weve been fortunate enough to visit a number of Michelin star restaurants, but Nadia, their sommelier and the entire team at Pompette exceeded our expectations with their attention to detail, vibe and friendliness - they were all exceptional and went out of their way to make our night extra special (which was just the loveliest!) - 10/10 would recommend.

What a lovely dinner. Had been wanting to try Pompette for a while. They have a great patio that has covering if it rains but it s not like a full enclosure so it s legit. The food was delicious and presented well. Extensive wine list too. My friend and I had a lovely evening at Pompette. I d return! Returned January 2024 and it s still as wonderful as my first visit. My friend and I sat at the bar. Great spot to catch up. Was recommended some great cocktails. Food was incredible. Escargots and gnocchi was chefs kiss. Duck for two was really nicely done. Amazing experience - food is phenomenal, drinks are unique and tasty, most importantly service is top-notch and very very attentive - Ive been to many top restaurants (including Michelins) and this is one of the restaurants that gives me a smile after every dish. One of my new favourites in Toronto now.

Wonderful atmosphere.

Food was absolutely chef s kiss. We got the escargot gnocchi, beef wellington, and bone marrow, and all was made in perfection. The ambiance and atmosphere was just perfect. I m excited to come back to try other dishes. Highly recommend!

Exceptional service! We ordered the duck for two, the lobster roll, and the mille feuille We had the mocktails (milk tea, ginger sour) and they were both delicious! The portion of the duck was substantial. We had leftovers to take home. The bread on the lobster roll was a bit dry, but overall pretty good.

When you see these signs, get ready for a gastronomy trip you will never forget This time we started our evening at the magnifique Pompette Restaurant. The atmosphere at the place was absolutely perfect, here everything is in its place and nothing will disrupt you from honoring the peace-of-art meals created by the chef. The service was exceptional and deserves a special praise . It could not be better, I would say for sure. We started our dinner with the marrow bone (my love) and tuna crudo that given me quit an appetite for more :) we tried agnolotti with foie gras (this was something incredible) and culmination of the day was duck breast & confit leg, that literally melted in the mouth. And when we ve reached pompette condition with amazing wines on card, we went to the Pompette bar, 5 mins away down the street. And this place, as it turned out, revealed itself as an alchemic laboratory, not less:) these guys take cocktails very serious. Starting from the absolutely transparent ice, created inder a special technology, to meticulously selected hand crafted ingredients with a combination of the best spirits targeted to fill your body and soul with joy and delight. My personal choice was margarita and when I asked for something special and not too sweet at all, with notes of spices to continue, I got some stunning drink with foam of tomatoes, black lime and notes of bergamot, but I forgot the name of it so soon I will get back to repeat and remember forever

It s fantastic all over this restaurant. So many details are considered. The service is top of the line. This place is such a treat. I took my mother in law there and she loved it. The cocktails were amazing and even ice cubes are given artistic consideration. If you have out of town visitors and your looking to show them a proper nice time, book a table here.

Came tonight to celebrate my birthday and I was very impressed with the food and atmosphere! The kitchen forgot one of our orders but the front of house more than made up for it. Delicious, high quality meal! Started off with the bone marrow which could not be more tender. We ordered the Beef Wellington which served 2 (but could have easily served 3) and the duck breast. Both came with excellent sides, were perfectly cooked, and garnished/seasoned. Service was fantastic, very helpful in pointing out recommendations, including for drinks.

What a wonderful place for a date night on a patio with some elevated cocktails and beautiful classic French dishes. Every plate is large enough to share, which is exactly what myself and the missus are hoping for so that we can try as much of the menu as possible. The bone marrow, beef tartar and compound butter with sourdough were delectable but their vegetable forward dishes deserve no less praise as this is the first time I comment on how amazing a restaurants sous vide leaks with cured egg yolk were! An absolute gem in the city, must go!

Purely amazing. Had a very nice experience dining here. We had ordered three appetizers, beef wellington and a desert alongside cocktails, wine and amaro. The food was immaculate and well prepared. The combination of flavours and presentation was top notch! They were very very accommodating and knew exactly what they were doing with all parts of the dinner. The service was really attentive and informative. Highly recommend! Definitely one of my top 3 in Toronto.

It was fantastic, impressive dishes, worth every penny, an extensive wine list, and the staff was excellent. We felt comfortable and not rushed out by any means. We will go back there, and recomend it to our family and friends. Made it to the bakery first ( one building), the had drinks at their cocktail bar ( second building) finally the restaurant, a real Gem, all three of them.

Our visit to Restaurant Pompette was perfect! Everything about the food, drinks, service and ambiance makes our visit so pleasant. Between 2 people, we shared the gnocchi a la parisienne, bone marrow, beef wellington and mille feuille. Bone marrow was my favourite dish of the night - who knew prawn tartare worked so well with this dish. If I were to do Pompette differently, I would order the beef Wellington if we were a group of 4 (just to explore more starter dishes). It felt like we might ve missed out on other dishes. Highly recommend ordering the Aiguenoire as a drink of choice. This drink stood out the most after trying 4 of their cocktails.

Everything was so decadent & cooked to perfection. Faves was the duck breast & escargot gnocchi. Bone marrow was also really good and unique! We loved the Bahn Mi cocktail & thought it was so refreshing & when you smelt it, it smelt just like a bahn Mi !!!! Recommended dishes

Having had dinner here just a few days ago on a rainy Friday, I can confidently say that Pompette is one of the most refined, welcoming and visionary restaurants in Canada. Kicking off the evening with award winning cocktails and impeccable service, (a special thank you to Stefano and Christian) we were guided through a gastronomical journey that made us forget the weather outside, even with being sat in a transparent quaint and warmed covered patio. I personally recommend the Aiguenoire and Nordic Negroni. We had the pleasure of trying every starter, from oysters thoughtfully displayed on a bed of rounded beach stones to remind us of the sea, to gnocchi à la parisienne that turned out to be the fluffiest and enticing ones yet with herbed butter coupled with savory escargots second to none. I couldnt take the pictures timely enough before attacking the next course. The confidence, knowledge and daring-do of the cuisine spoke for itself with the love and attention that you notice in the plating, présentation and perfection of the ingredients. I could not name a favorite because my palate was swimming in a symphony of every spectrum of flavors(bravo chef Nicholas). This is a well merited establishment to be recognized by Michelin and any beginner or seasoned food lover that I must speak for as a must to visit if youre in Toronto. Merci to all the staff at Pompette, we will be back.

Food was very good! Really great and unique cocktails and wine. This would be a spot for a special occasion or a nice date night. The bone marrow and duck were unreal. The ambiance was very nice especially for summer with indoor/ outdoor vibes. Super close to bar pompette which is a great spot to grab drinks before!

Playful and thought-out plates served in a wonderful atmosphere. Even though we had our favourites (flavour-wise) the entire cocktail list was supremely executed. Service was attentive, warm and knowledgeable. Shoutout to Joanna & Christian that took great care of us, and the the rest of the team. At one point, a little miracle landed on our table and truly provided un service fracassant. Cant wait to be back.

This has been on our list for a while as it was recommended as one of the best French restaurants in Toronto. The service was perfect, informative and not overbearing. The plates came out one after another which we find is rare. The drinks left us disappointed, just missed the mark but we didn t go for that any ways. The food did not disappoint and considering they frequently switch up the menu, we would definitely go back to try something new.

I really enjoyed my little snack at the Pompette. The service is highly professional and competent. Nicely served food. I definitely need to go back there to experience it more.

Wow, this is my new favourite restaurant in Toronto for a special occasion. The food is French with lots of flavour. For starters we had the tuna which was perfect. The leaks where both a work of art and tasty. The short rib main was so good that I didn t want it to end. All this and I haven t mentioned the delicious cocktails. I had the Bang mi cocktail, you heard right like the sandwich. It was so good! I will definitely be back.

Last year they announced that they would not work on the weekends to help their staff balance the work and life. Theyre back and open now. Lol

We were so excited to visit Pompette for our anniversary dinner. I wish they had met our expectations because we left extremely disappointed. The food was amazing but the service was left a lot to be desired for. The server was inattentive and was hovering around our table attending the two other tables next to us. There was no water, we indicated / asked a couple of times, empty plates were picked up late and no attention to our table. It was a little bumming out because we had high expectations and because of our experience we didn t even try out the Bar next door. :(

Overpriced for mediocre dishes.

Back to school day so relatively quiet night for this delicious place. The team, mostly French, is very welcoming, and the food is a an absolute delight. From the oysters, which oysters fans will love, and oysters haters should try, to the starters, very imaginative, very well executed, light and refine, without trying to be too much . Had the ribs as main, simply delicious. Deserts are absolutely in line with the rest of the menu. Congrats, great place, great team, a wine list to be check out as well. Bravo !

Love Pompette ! Cannot stop recommending it to friends. Yes, the portions are small, but the way the food and flavours are executed; worth every penny ! And their desserts are delicious.

Came here for a post-dinner drink and snack. We got the tuna starter, vol-au-vent, mille feuille, and some dogtails. Pros: they have the cutest pawtio! They have a strong drinks program - the options were unique and doglicious! We had the guava dogtail and also the nitro colada, both were quite refreshing and pawfect for a summer night. The tuna was tropical and well-balanced with sweetness from coconut cream and acid from the achard. The mille feuille was super flaky with silky pistachio cream and strawberries )the salted caramel on the side would have been better as a drizzle though). Cons: the lobster vol-au-vent, while it had decent lobster chunks and a good flaky pastry, was overwhelmed with an au poivre sauce that was wayyyyy too salty. As well, the corn and green beans it was served with were bland and reminded us of frozen veggies. Overall, it s a cute spot to grab a bite and have some drinks with a date or furiends. Service was decent too. 4.5 woofs out of 5.

Great cocktails, lovely patio, good service overall but our dinner was a bit disappointing. The zucchini flower appetizer sounded delicious and it was. What I didn t expect was that this would be 2 baby zucchini flowers, each smaller than my pinky. For $31, I expected something more. My hubby s escargot Provençal, on the other hand, was both delicious and sharable. I was also surprised when our entrees were delivered to our table by someone other than our server when my husband stepped away for a minute. It was a hurried drop off with a quick rundown of both dishes, rather than a presentation in line with the setting. When I asked him to repeat something, I got a hurried, annoyed response. And then my hubby returned and asked me a question about his dish not my job! We had to look about for our server to get the answer. Probably not typical but the entree service put a bad taste in our mouths, so to speak.

I came in for my anniversary a while back. We were sat at the bar - not an amazing start. Took three tries to order a bottle of wine as they were out of the first two I wanted. Tartare was really bland and uninspired. No acknowledgement of the occassion either which is always an easy touch that costs nothing. For $500+, and as someone whos worked in hospitality for nearly 20 years, I was unimpressed.

It was great experience

Went on a Saturday night for a date. We had a wonderful experience. This is high end French (bistrot) cuisine. The prize of the night was the lobster & quenelles: the dish was delicate so flavourful. Have some bread and dip it in the sauce until theres nothing left. We paired our dinner with a delicious wine from Jura. Special shoutout to our barmaid/waitress who took care of us all evening and the sommelier for the wonderful wine suggestion.

Delicious food and cocktails, especially the tuna crudo and short rib. Staff went above and beyond to make our celebratory dinner special. Thank you!

Food was fabulous but portions were a bit small, the restaurant is not big but they have a nice heated patio for extended seating outside, it was a cozy touch.

Better than France. We are French and with my husband we were so happy to discover Pompette yesterday. We absolutely had the best experience. Fantastic service, fantastic food, fantastic decor. What a wonderful time. I appreciate that you are putting so much effort in the quality of your products and the mastering your craft to offer us the best experience. And of course love having a chartreuse digestive to finish this perfect evening. We will definitively be back . Thank you for the memories and excellent evening.

Went for a friends birthday and it was okay at best. This Michelin star restaurant didnt live up to all the hype. The food wasnt bad but nothing stood out and wowed me. Their cocktails were very well crafted. Atmosphere was quite and romantic. Service was good.

I enjoyed my first french food here. I went for date night while in town. I enjoyed snails with tomatoes and pancreas with mushrooms in a croissant bown with gravy. Delicious. The heated patio is bright and spacious. I will be back when I visit Toronto.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try it and it ended up being the most bland tasting food we ve ever had. We tried 5 different things off the menu too. Not impressed at all. Cocktails aren t good either.

The vibe was great, the service was amazing, the patio is a super nice place to spend an evening. Unfortunately the food was quite underwhelming. We had the chef s menu and most people in our group were quite unimpressed. Wiling to give it another try and perhaps it was just an off night.

The service is out of this world and the food is delicious. I loved everything about it. It is espectacular to have the opportunity to dine at a restaurant where they appreciate food and celebrate it.

The food was very average and bland. We ordered a main course which had raw Seasoning on it and the fish was tasteless (pic attached). The manager claimed it was our fault for not reading the menu. The waitress didnt describe how the fish was cooked and the most of the ingredients on the menu were in French. We found the menu very confusing. This was our night to celebrate an important milestone and we ended up leaving dissatisfied. Never going back here.

Pompette is a charming French restaurant that left an indelible mark on our culinary senses. From the moment we stepped through the curtain, the atmosphere exuded sophistication and warmth, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The culinary journey commenced with a delicate dance of flavors in the Raw Oysters, adorned with dill oil, cucumber, tofu, and a bacon foam that was very good - havent seen bacon foam used to compliment oysters in such a way. It was a sublime start to an extraordinary meal. The Tuna Crudo followed suit, a masterpiece in its own right. The Ponzu yuzu vinaigrette lent a subtle citrusy zing, perfectly complementing the sherry vinegar and coriander. Each bite was a harmonious blend of vibrant tastes that left us craving for more. Pompettes take on Escargots à la Provençale was a revelation. The succulent snails were expertly prepared, nestled among cherry tomatoes and a delightful herb crumble. The dish struck a balance between indulgence and refinement, and the sauce was to absolutely die for. Be sure to grab some sourdough bread to finish the plate! The B.C. Trout Beurre Blanc, a dish that transcended expectations. The trout, bathed in a luscious beurre blanc and accompanied by dill oil, beetroots, and fennel, was a symphony of flavors that unfolded with each forkful. The ingredients were impeccably sourced, and the execution was flawless, a testament to the culinary artistry at Pompette. To elevate the experience, we entrusted our wine selection to the capable hands of Sommelier Christian. His expertise and passion for the art of wine pairing were evident as he guided us through a Croatian red wine that proved to be the perfect companion to our meal. His recommendations were not only spot-on but also enhanced the overall dining experience. 11/10

While un petit peu on the expensive side, our food was devine. Such layers and textures of flavour...classically prepared with a modern twist. Our server - Antoine - was perfect in every way: friendly, passionate about the menu, super helpful around making recommendations for us...and fun... not to mention French, as were all the staff with whom we interacted, lending an air of authenticity to the evening. This was a true dining experience. We will absolutely return for more.

Over rated and over priced

Came here to for my brother s birthday dinner. From the appetizers to the desserts every dish was very delicious and unique. We wiped all the plates clean. The service was also very good as staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was also very nice as well. Highly recommend!

Very nice and authentic French restaurant. Food is delicious and ambiance and service are top notch. It was however very, very expensive.

The bone marrow was superb! I wish they could make the duck for one serving for people with a smaller appetite!

Hard to rate: the food was really excellent, but we didnt feel good after...

The heated patio is romantic and surprisingly warm even in the winter. The service is impeccable. The dishes are presented beautifully and with care. The Gnocchi, Duck for 2, and Poached Pear more than stuffed the two of us. We paired our meals with the Green Punch (suitable for mezcal lovers) and Nitro Colada (silky smooth, gentle alcohol flavour) cocktails. I would happily return to this lovely corner restaurant just to try to the Leeks and Beef Wellington!

French cuisine makes its way across the Atlantic and to Toronto with all the necessary deliciousness and style. Service was top-notch, we loved it!

Ce restaurant est Magnifique!!! The dinner was incredible. We had the bone marrow, beef Wellington and the chocolate poached pear dessert, and everything was amazing. The unique part about this restaurant was that everyone worked there was available to help all the guests and they were really welcoming and kind. It s like they were all working together for all the tables to have the best possible night. So unique and so lovely.

Too fancy for me! One of those places that bring you too little food and charge you too much every item we tried was bold and unique in taste but not necessarily delicious

Overall very pleasant experience. Came here for my husband and I s first year anniversary the food and atmosphere did not disappoint. Very pleased that they were open on a Monday, something most fine dining restaurants don t offer. We tried the scallops crudo and escargots for starters; braised beef short rib and lobster vol-au-vent for mains. The starters were delicious, and the beef short rib was cooked beautifully. The meat would slide right off the bone! I found the sauce au poivre of the lobster vol-au-vent a little too salty, although the pastry and lobster was cooked to perfection. For dessert we tried the strawberry mille-feuille, a great shareable portion for two after a full meal.

Food and drinks were great! Felt like stepping into a modern french bistro. Great for a date night!

This restaurant is so special. I loved how thoughtful every moment felt, including wine suggestions, each course of food, interactions with the staff. We (and everyone) felt like honoured guests in this intentional, elegant, easy-going space.

Impeccable service, amazing food and great cocktails. The shishito are lightly battered with the perfect amount of curry. The tuna carpaccio is beautiful and every element adds to the visual as well as the flavor. The Aiguënoire cocktail is a well-balanced delight that is deceptively simple and deliciously executed.

Super excited to try Pompette from word of mouth from F&F. We enjoyed the cocktails, the food was underwhelming for most of our dishes with the exception of the escargot and chocolate mousse being very good. Service was nice as well.

Came here with a friend a few weeks ago, we were having a late dinner so we sat inside but the patio looked super cute! The service was amazing as soon as we walked in and throughout the night. White Asparagus Scallop Crudo Raw PEI Oysters Homemade Spelt Sourdough BC Spot Prawns King Cole Duck Creme Caramel = favs = also really good Its been soo long since I had White Asparagus - not many places serve it, its a different texture and taste completely from regular green Asparagus. Flavours for Scallop crudo were light and refreshing, and the poached BC Spot Prawns were melt in your mouth amazing Cant wait to go come back for the next seasonal menu and hopefully sit on the patio next time!

Delicious! Highly recommend it. We were sitting in the covered patio and had a great time. Each dish was carefully created and thoughtfully presented. Flavors were interesting and innovative and definitely a place I would like to go back to as the menu changes.

I had an excellent time at Pompette. A charming French restaurant where the staff is knowledgeable, professional and caring. You can also feel that the place is well managed by how happy and friendly the staff is. This includes the kitchen staff where I had minimal interaction but could see how attentive and happy they were working.

Visited October 18th and really enjoyed the food. The escargot was wonderful and the short rib was amazing. I also enjoyed the wine suggestion. The service was really good as well and they really took to heart our minor criticism of the bone marrow and remade it and the second time it was almost as good as my first time eating it there in the summer.

Fantastic atmosphere, artful food, and delicious drinks. On first visit, sat at the bar due to lack of space, but the bartenders are French and had great hosting skills, recommendations, and wide knowledge. Many architects are regulars. Perfect for a fancy date night

For many during the OVO-TOR tour it was their 1st experience with French food... It reminded me of the days we performed during the WBLS tour days wayyy back in the 80s ... Back then, I did not understand the cuisine and now I couldnt put the fork down... Yall enjoy the food and hospitality

This might be one of my favourite new restaurants! The service was friendly. From start to finish, the flavours danced on our tastebuds. We started with oysters and tuna tartare. The tartare was really fun to eat with the crispy shell and it was delicious. For mains, we enjoyed the short rib accompanied by local root veggies, and the striped sea bass with cabbage side. For dessert, we enjoyed the mille feuille and was not disappointed.

Great place

Ive dined here a couple of times now and the food has always been excellent. The service staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Its got a professional, yet laid back vibe which I enjoy. My wife and I decided to take our (3) kids this weekend to celebrate her birthday. We knew the menu would be a challenge for our kids less refined palletes, but figured, what heck - lets give it a try! Imagine our confusion upon finding out that the restaurant stocked no pop or fruit juice of any kind?! So my kids, all had $17 virgin cocktails made out something. Im not entirely sure lol. This bothered me. Not the $17, but the fact that the management of the restaurant made a decision to not stock ANY pop or juice. I recognize that its likely about $$, but I would have happily paid the $17 and had the option of ordering my son a coca cola. Just saying. Final Thought: Thank you to the female staff member who brought my younger kids some paper and pencils they could draw it. It was very nice, and we really appreciated you.

The restaurant is cozy and modern. Theyve done an incredible job creating a beautiful and welcoming space. The menu is simple and each dish is incredibly unique. Whether you prefer seafood or meat dishes there is something on the menu for everyone. The food exceeded our expectations. Its amazing what the chef could do with seemingly simple ingredients, turning them into a masterpiece.
